Dream on Charlton will be fighting to sign SPL players like Kenneth,Robertson,Dixson,Pernis from Dundee Utd for free. And any other decent player like Davidson and Sendaza that they can pick up for free. And maybe Gary O Connor and Riordan who could play championship no sweet.O Connor needs to keep his nose clean.Beattie at Hearts could also score goals at that level again.

ridiculous posts stating portsmouth will go bust. They cannot and Chanrai will not let them liquidate. If liquidation occurrs the assets will be split as per the liquidators wishes but if chainrai becomes the reluctant owner once agin (which he will) then he still has minimal income to recoup some of his 17 - 18 million pounds. Its too risky for him to allow liquidation

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Correct that Pompey will not go into liquidation. Correct that Chanrai will take over the club if no other credible buyer comes to the fore within a month. However, The supporters Trust is working to add wealthy backers to their bid so do not write them off. If they can do it, finally Pompey would have people at the helm who truly love and care about the club. Best of luck to the Trust!

Dzeko 27m, Aguaro 24m, Carroll 35m, Adebayor 24m, Drogba 24m, Torres 50m, based on these valuations and fees paid, CISSE = Newcastle United - 200m and thats a fair reflection

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Lol every striker there apart from Carroll is better than cisse. Newcastle have a good season then triple there players value and put 200mill on cisse. Messi has a buy out of that at barca but your right I'd rather buy cisse than messi. Also funny how when Sunderland where interested in him all your fans posted in here saying his rubbish. But let's hope you don't sell all your players like that last few seasons and buy cheap. Otherwise bye bye cisse and ba plus Ben arfa

David james running away from the thought of even having to play at Portsmouth let alone join them again, you will be lucky to get any1 want to come to that club, why go to a club whos future is liquidation? Players have brains. . . And ambition, Portsmouth have. . . Ermm. . . Thats it! No future.

And i dnt support southampton bt guaranteed 60% of Portsmouth fans will go to Southampton to watch a decen game

My rants is over.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Leicester offered 1 mil in january, guess again. . .

Agree0 Disagree0

Richie came through Pompey's youth system and has had only one years experience of first team football at Div 2 level so £2.5 m is too much. Around the £1m, maybe.

Reading and Southampton fans have clearly had a rush of blood to the head! I'm sick of coming on here and seeing some of the most ridiculous names being thrown about... You will end up with leftovers and a couple of upp and coming players from the championship to pick from

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Any actual arguments

Agree0 Disagree0

This sounds like a jelous supporter of a team stuck in the championship goin nowhere !

Agree0 Disagree0

Defo had a rush of blood to the head

Agree0 Disagree0

Seeing as both reading and Southampton have billionaire owners how do you know what they will spend unless your the manager or the owner?

Agree0 Disagree0

If you consider players like O'Hara, Doyle, Flecther, Jarvi and the better players from the other teams that are relagated leftovers, then you have had the rush of blood to the head. Also as a Saints fan i will take the up and coming players from the Championship all day long.
You just carry on surporting your Championship side, or if my suspicions are correct your league 1 side.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is why its a rumour website maybe?
Because funnily enough people comment on transfer rumours in which they have heard/read/or even made up etc.

Obviously some of the names popping up are outrageous and would never happen in a million years however if you don't like it get off the page.

'We are Southampton, We do what we want'
SFCmassive {Ed025's Note - a bit of humility goes a long way mate, your fans on here are certainly making a name for themselves!.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed025 this is your site so should be well aware that alot of the post regarding Southampton Fc are mad up by rival fans trying to get a reaction from other clubs.
I agree Southampton have some deluded arrogant fans and they are embarrassing but dont all clubs. Please can you stop tainting all Saints fans with the same brush please.
We are mostly realistic fans, since Cortese and Adkins have been at the club none of there signings have been made public until the deal has been completed, so the names being mentioned on here are complete and utter c**p anyway. {Ed025's Note - if you read my replies properly.. they are not aimed at the good saints fans, of which there are thousands, but at the idiotic fringe (which all clubs have), who think saints are heading for europe, and who revel in the demise of your neighbours..i wish southampton all the best for the forthcoming season..

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Ed the way i read on the previous comment was your fans maybe you should of put SOME of your fans. As for the demise of Pompey, you got to understand the amount of abuse Southampton fans took from them when we were in the S**T, they loved every minute of it, i no two wrongs don't make a right but it hard not to enjoy what is better known as KARMA. {Ed025's Note - banter is ok mate..but vitriol is over the top..when you were in bother, we all knew it was temporary, pompey are in big danger of losing their existence!, and thats not nice for any club. your club play really good stuff, and have some fine young players, i dont want them to become a target for the hate mob, thats why i ask the guys to tone it down a notch..

Agree0 Disagree0

OK point taken, you say ours was only temporary, if Rupert Lowe done one good thing whilst he was at Saints then that was to Build St Mary's because if he had not and we were still at the Dell, not to sure we would of been brought. Just for the record i dont want to see Pompey fold as a club, i enjoy the Banter between the clubs and i will miss the derby's between us. However it is amazing how things have turnt around here on the south coast. Lets just hope it does not turn around again LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

'We all knew it was temporary'! Well i bloody well wish i'd known and according to one ex-director, we were 5 days away from liquidation.

sick of reading and southampton fans having ago at other people becuase they are in the prem they need to look at them selfs both of them will be back in the championship before you no it, yes reading have just been taken over but he is not going to invest loads into them dont no why people are saying they have 30 million to spend its just stupid.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

They've only been having a go at their own person supporters for posting unrealistic rumorus...

Agree0 Disagree0

dont like being left behind

down down

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know Reading aint got 30mil to spend, i am sick of hering comments from jelous Pompey fans, you spent Millions when you were in the Prem, diffrence is we have a far better infrastructure at Reading so we will regain some of that back. We will spend what we feel we need to spend to give us a far chance of staying in the Prem, if thats 30mil then thats what we will spend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Most realistic fans would expect an initial season of struggle or even relegation for Reading and Saints as that is the norm. Both may or may notspend money but the 'big names' still will not join. Both sets of fans will need to adjust from winning most weeks to losing most weeks next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pompey fans do not have any problem with Reading, so don't accuse them of related negative posts. Mind you, could be true about Saints, after all you are rivals so what would you expect?

Millwall away. Great game. How did it go at the end, oh yeah 'we are Southampton, we're top of the league'.

Will be a real struggle to survive for Saints next season. They overachieved this season so will need the number of players mentioned, problem is that other bigger clubs may want those mentioned too.

Yeh over acheived the whole season, give a rest mate to go the whole entire season first or second is no fluke mate, we deserved to be promoted this season deal with it

Im a Leicester fan, too many on here think it'll be like last year, signing 'overpaid' players, Pearson wants youth, and the odd bit of experience.
Most likely thing to happen is Koren, Chester, possibly Trotter, De Laet, and Harry Kane on loan coming in, Vardy added to that list but still a maybe. Off go Beckford, Mills, Pantsil, Howard, Tunchev, and probably see Konchesky on his way due to his wages. Rosenior could be looked at too, just another option.

Rene Gilmartin to leave Watford in the summer to head back to Ireland. Scott Loach's competition will come from Jonathan Bond and Martin Fulop who will join on a free.
