From a close source that Trevor Birch the Portsmouth administrator will be looking for owners who have a clear 15m. Unfortunately you can get some prem clubs for that and its starting to look like liquidation may be the best option. From a Pompey fan! {Ed003's Note - Name me a Prem club you could get for £15m please}

Charlton are set to bring jordan rhodes to the vally if huddersfield fail to get promotion for 3 million.. if this fails we will line up a similar bid for carlton cole who could rejoin the club as he is not part of west hams plans next year... ad before people say charlon have got this type of money and are sent to spend arounf 6 million in total this summer

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Charlton have to balance the books next season..so no chance

Agree0 Disagree0

You may have money but bigger and better clubs are gonna be after Rhodes so absolutely no chance

Portman road may be bigger. But over 33% empty every home game. Belongs to suffolk county c. 66 million in debt, owner that knows he would be better of out of it. Speajking to bbc east last summer, ive spent 6million every year we have yet to finish in top half of 2nd tier. This can not go on.

Football was the loser tonight. Chelsea parked the bus for 2 legs, kicked, fouled and played horrible negative football. Only consolation for football is that some of their animals will miss the final. EPL = horrible football.

Iceman {Ed003's Note - Did they win? defence is part of football is it not? you're rhetoric over English football is getting very bitter}

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Barca are unable to break down 10 players (9 outfield players) how is that good football. When something isnt working, passing around outside the box, they are unable to change their approach. For the greatest team in the world they lack the ability to adapt and play differently when needed. I am NOT!! a Chelsea fan, but am sick of Barca when they lose, all they do is cry about beautiful football.... you know what is beautiful...... winning! If your going to be true champions try showing some class in a loss, as well as a win. A team (and its fans) show their true colours in hard times..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ye ed , he`s a bitter man against the english , you dont see us slagging the scottish..
well done chelsea ........glad cry baby lying terry missing out..

maximus

Agree0 Disagree0

Parked the bus they scored 2 goals

Agree0 Disagree0

Its funny that english called it horrible negative football on here when rangers done the same to man utd. so how is the pot calling the kettle being bitter? {Ed003's Note - maybe try typing Iceman in the search function and you will see what I mean by bitter,nothing to do with Rangers whatsoever}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed003 if you take maximus the wrong way you could say the same about him. {Ed003's Note - I would never dream of taking Maximus the wrong way..........}

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a banter site and maximus has a lot of banter! Unfortunately ppl like you take it seriously and get upset!

As for spicegirl all you ever do is say how weak the epl is! Chelsea beat barca over two legs so it was well deserved regardless of the result or how they won! They scored 2 goals at the Nou Camp with 10 men

EPL=Best league in the world FACT!!

LeicesterLad

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats the only way you will beat them playing that way

Agree0 Disagree0

Leicesterlad so iceman slagging the epl is bitter but maximus slagging the spl is banter. aye right you are then. how can i take people like you seriously?

Agree0 Disagree0

Where in my post does it say spicegirl is bitter? all he goes on bout is how weak the epl is which is b******s as english teams have dominated europe for years, at least maximus posts other stuff as well...

and you cant really disagree mith max either as the spl is a joke

LeicesterLad

Agree0 Disagree0

Leicesterlad i have seen your team once this season against west ham. i think i will stick to watching spl football thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leicesterlad , them sweaties are a sandwich short of a picnic .. they dont read posts properly .. drink buckfast all day in them star wars bars across scotland.. all there birds look like nanny mcpee with one front tooth and warts the size of footballs on there faces..
all that to go with terrible football .. i would move away ,into england ...
english football one of the best..

maximus

Agree0 Disagree0

The SPL is a tin pot league, equivalent to the unibond league. If you support rolling around on the ground that is apparent every 10 seconds when barcelona are playing then that about says it all about how much the scottish know about football.

During Easter Monjack and Colkett both played a game for the Barcelona Juvenil A team, Colkett played 45 minutes and Monjack around an hour, both had good games. Monjack started number 6 and Colkett number 8. They are not allowed to speak about the transfer until the end of the season until it becomes official. Both players have the same agent.

On-loan Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, 22, has been priced at £10m by parent club Hoffenheim, who will try to ward off plenty of potential summer suitors, including interested parties Liverpool, Everton ,Manchester United and reading fc but he said to a icelandic paper that he would love to go to reading but fears money will send him

lets be honest it cant really get any worse for coventry.

for survival of the club a buy out must take place.

if any more players go the damage will be irraplaceable

the only reason were in this mess is because we have sold player after player year after year

even i have had enough of all this betrayal

league 1 for a team like coventry is the final straw for me !!!!!!!!!!!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

League 1 the last straw for a team like coventry??, haha theres bigger and better teams in that league already treacle, what is a team like coventry?? when was the last time you won anything or even challenged for the playoffs of 2nd tier football! get down where you belong! I've got a sneeky feeling you'll be going down again next year if your still in business!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a neutral but I am sure Coventry had the record for the most consequetive seasons in the top tier of English football at one point and it is sad to see their club in decline.

Agree0 Disagree0

I admire there loyalty but when we played them they complained about having 22 attempts at goal most of those hit the corner flag we had 3 and nicked the game that is what its all about, finding a way to win. The league doesn't lie over 46 games you where poor. Love your ground, got a parking ticket after I got back to the car well worth it "come on you Lions". League one is tough believe me.

loving some of the comments on here lol,
READING wont! get promoted....
hmmm good shout.

some of the rumours make me laugh.
especially as a reading fan, the zingarevic's
have got money, but madejski has said they wont spend money.
madejski is supposedly in financial trouble, suppose thats what happens when you spend all your money on mansions to fill up with pictures. but hes staying on as chairman, so most things will go through him

with people saying we have no money, umm we do now, 90m from going up (as champs :P)
and however, there is money there.
if gylfi is only worth 10m, and we have 90?? you do the maths.
i can see hartey getting a new deal
i would love matty phillips from blackpool
and zaha and clyne would be quality signings

and whats all this about hartey being to old,
and gorkks being crap?
best defence in the league, think you saw that against southampton

all in all most people on this site talk utter b****cks

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Harte is too old and Gorks was released by QPR because he has no pace, yes you did have best defense in the Championship but while the Championship is good it is not the Prem. After the season Gylfi has had there is no way he will join Reading, bigger clubs will be after him.
Also just because you receive 90 million do you think your club has 90 million to spend, you seem a little delude mate. The end of the day i have no beef with Reading as a club, all i am pointing out is the players you fans seem to want are also being touted by much bigger clubs ie.. Zaha, Phillips and clyne just to mention a few so it seem unlikely you will get these players IMO.
Why is it we are hearing alot of Banter from Reading fans now, didn't hear much from you at the beginging of the season did we. Not them sort of fans are you?

Agree0 Disagree0

Gorkss wasn't released we sold him for appox a mill

ed i have a question. why are wolves having to sell star players because theyre not in any debt the wage bills are managable and they have good crowds. i understand some will go for premier league football but realistically wont get on the first team very often. any answer {Ed001's Note - they don't have to sell. They might choose to sell, or a player might force a move, but they don't have to sell.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2012 16:53:39
As a life long Wolves fan i really do think some of our fans need to get a grip on things. Silly money is being talked about for our players. I think realistically we will lose Fletcher for about £8m and Jarvis for around £5m. Both healthy profits on what we paid. And im not too sure that too many other clubs will be banging our doors down for anyone else. Doyle cant score in the Premier, all be it he works fantastically for the team. Ohara is injury prone and to be honest Wolves fans hands up like me if you thought he was a bit of a Big Time Charlie. When the going got tough - he went missing. ! Hennessey is now injured and if Johnson needs a lift anywhere i will take a day off work and take him personally! Hunt and Milijas might bring in in a few quid, but not from Premier clubs.
So what do we have. Ikeme is decent, Foley is a good right back, Ward can play left back, Kightly and Hammil will give us excellent width, Henry will always give his all to Wolves and Ebanks Blake is proven in the Championship and Edwards is a decent Championship box to box player.
We have Doherty, Davis and Ismail coming through the ranks as well.
WHAT WE NEED NOW IS A MANAGER THAT KNOWS THE CHAMPIONSHIP, HAS DECENT CONNECTIONS FOR PLAYERS, BOTH TO BUY AND LOAN AND FINALLY SOMEONE WITH SOME DRIVE AND AMBITION. SO COME ON MR MORGAN. GET IT RIGHT. NOW.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I gave up on this post you sad your fans quoting silly money then you say Fletcher going for 8m for a relgated team and contradicted yourself straight away.

You have to laugh at these deluded
Ipswich fans who class Norwich as thier biggest
rivals, We are not even in the same division
but even when we were Norwich were in a different league, Last season you were given two lessons on how to score goals
4-1 5-1 And we never have problems with
lack of fans, we average 26.500 every
home match and with plans of an extra 9000
seats being installed something you lot can only dream of.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

We have a ground already not some hell hole like yours which is so small league 2 teams can fill funny as your on here now and not 2 years ago but that's you lot for ya . As for your different league bit how about man city 5-1 6-1 made you look what you are small time

Agree0 Disagree0

You call Ipswich deluded you have 2 good seasons with crowds I was at your place 3 years ago and you had just over 14000 and properly one of the worse support I've ever seen . I'm not a Ipswich fan but 1 thing I can say is your never be as big as them know matter what league your in

Agree0 Disagree0

What a knob you are saying stuff like that im a Norwich fan and people like you makes us look silly now school tomorrow night night

Agree0 Disagree0

You live in a dream land typical stummer 9000 extra seats made my sides split

Agree0 Disagree0

A fellow Norwich fan has already pointed out to you you have ideas above your station Ipswich have and always will be your biggest rivals. Both our clubs are small provsional clubs. I conceed your a better team than us over last 2 seasons and yes being a city to our town you have a larger support catchment area but just remember you club has spent it's whole history living in our shadow! funny how town fans were not gloating on here when you were in league 1 losing 7-1 at home and wanted you to come back up. Suddenly all the closet budgies come out saying how great they are.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your making Norwich fans look idiotic and I have always respected your fans who are some of the loyalist and proud supporters in the country this from an Ipswich supporter.

Agree0 Disagree0

FA Cup winners, Champions of England, UEFA cup winners, Never beaten at home in Europe in 40 plus games, gave England it's two best ever managers one of which won us the world cup. There is something you can only dream off ;) Budgie back in his place.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I agree how can we say Norwich and Ipswich are biggest rivals looking at the history books Ipswich have the most derby wins, biggest derby wins scoreline but let's forget all that because you beat us last season well done your brillant!

Reading team I want next season - Gk Federici RB Clyne CBs Pearce and Gorkss LB Bertrand RM Kebe/Zaha CMs Leigertwood and Karacan LM McAnuff ST Doyle Roberts/Zaha. Keeping the majority of the team together and releasing a few minor players like Baseya, Bignall, Gunnarsson, Griffin, Howard and selling a few players such as Church, Tabb and Antonio

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I think we will need a creative midfielder for the premiership and play 4-4-1-1/4-5-1. With a creative midfielder behind the front man. We have been linked with Dame N'Doye who is ST. i would also like us to sign Matt Jarvis who would play on the wing with McAnuff on the other side. Kebe is to inconsistent and for the premiership we need all our players at their best every game. IMO

Ben arfa goal of the season !!

No chance..any decent defender would have stopped him, 2 keepers wouldn't have stopped Crouch's goal

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Wise up Crouch had a lucky shot,it could have gone anywhere, I think he just meant to put the ball in the box but got lucky

Agree0 Disagree0

Lucky shot... that he chested, controlled and then lobbed the current England goalkeeper from over 30 yards?!?

As a neutral, both goals were good but got to be honest Crouch goal was pretty incredible IMO so i would say his.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is close to signing five players in the summer and will still try and pursue the deals no matter the division their in.
Allardyce is keen on signing Leeds midfielder Danny Pugh. The former Stoke and Preston left sided player only joined United in January but feels he has more chance of playing in the top flight again in London. Leeds boss Neil Warnock is expected to listen to offers for Pugh as he plans a massive overhaul at Elland Road.
Allardyce is also keen on bringing a goalkeeper into The Boleyn Ground to provide more competition with England stopper Rob Green. It is thought that former Colchester keeper Dean Gerken is already in talks with United over a possible one year deal from Bristol City.
The 57 year old has made a bid for England under 21 international winger Cameron Stewart from league rivals Hull City. The East Yorkshire club are not willing on selling the 21 year old but could be tempted if West Ham bid around £5 million.
The fourth deal could be Irish defender Damien Delaney. The former Hull and QPR player is keen on a move away from Portman Road and Allardyce sees it as a possibly good deal due to his experience of winning promotions.
Finally, 18 year old forward Miguel Medina is thought to be the last possible deal after he trained with the club from Italian outfit Udinese. The Serie A club are willing to let the Paraguayan out on loan for the season.
And what about Henderson who Sam signed from Pompey, how many keepers does he want, and as for Delaney moving away from Ipswich, i cant see that happening unless Ipswich get at least another two centre backs in the summer
I doubt West Ham will be looking at any players until they know what league they will be in.
Thats right keep racking up the debt.
Wtf, Damien Delaney has never been promoted in his professional playing career

Really?
Sure he wasn't involved in Hull City's two promotions from League 2 to the Championship??

Reading Team for Next season. I have used players we have been linked but still keeping the core of the team that us got us up this year. I think the best way to stay up is just to add a few players like Norwich/Swansea instead of being like QPR and buy loads of has beens and get a new team entirely. First 11- GK-Federici RB-Cummings CB-Gorkks CB-Pearce LB- Bertrand RM- McAnuff CM-Karacan CM- Leigertwood LM- Jarvis CAM- Whittingham ST- N'Doye. How would you think this team get on? Blackpool are not a premier league club. Blackpool shouldn't really be anywhere near the premier league. Their ground isn't good enough. Their crowds aren't good enough. their team isn't good enough (too many players that don't belong to them).

PNE Rule

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Quite right. Blackpool are a championship
club aspiring to be a premiership club. which is perfectly proper. ALL clubs are
trying to better themselves but not all can achieve this. Quality of ground, crowd etc are nothing to do with ,you only achieve or fail by your performance over a season on the pitch. All clubs are
equal in that respect. {Ed003's Note - Can't disagree with that }

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with all you say regarding being equal on the pitch but if you were lucky enough to reach the prem then it helps to have i decent stadium and a decent youth set up etc... to be able to stay in the prem. I mean look at Pompey, they had a great side on the pitch but due to no real income because of stadium, lack of youth coming through they struggled off the pitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

Preston are not a prem or a championship
club ,and shouldnt even be in league one!
