Ipswich are also believed to be interested in Chelsea left-back Patrick Van Aanholt and have enquired about a possible loan deal.
----------------------------------------

What a load of rubbish Anholt is in talks with Portsmouth. Ipswich don't need another left back we need a right back.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not sure why so many people are keen that their club be linked with van Aanholt, he was s**te for us (Leicester) last season. Good going forward, forgets to defend though.

Some of you so called Saints fans who post on here
are as deluded as some of the Brighton fans that post on the site. I was at the mini tournament at St Marys in memory of our great saviour, and did not see Lita and Kilgannon who were meant to be paraded before the game.
Why some of you continue to post utter bulls**t time after time, god only knows.

Brighton are looking to sign jimmy Bullard as they look for some championship experienced players

The Smee

Believable0 Unbelievable6

I'd love Brighton to land him but i think he'd be suited more to Forest. Shteeve is signing every over the hill journeyman he can and 32yr old Bullard with his £50k per week wage demands would be ideal. Plus he's over-rated and his best days were three years ago... ideal. Go Shteeve

offical, leeds have just signed goalkeeper Mickey safe hands horspool from dartford five a side team dumbells. the dumbells went a whole season in goals five-a-side league undefeated with safe hands being one of the best players in the league. horspool at 5'8 and 14 stone is not said to be the normal goalkeeping type but he is brave, good handling and the reflexes of a ninja cat. Horspool hopes to complete the deal tomorrow and quoted to of said 'i have never played in a full size goal or 11 a side rules but how different can it be? horspool is a london based leeds fan and was very happy to sign for his club although he wants to kick ken bates in the nuts. this should stop all silly rumours linking keepers to the super whites

It's going to be a big week for Brighton and Leicester with one or two signings according to those in the know.
So when they first meet in the Championship the sides will line up as follows:
Brighton - Green, Eboue, Alex, Ferdinand (Rio), Gibbs, Hargreaves, Wilshere, Chamberlain, Lua Lua, Mackail-Smith, Berbatov

Leicester - Schmeichel, Richards, Terry, Peltier, Tunchev, Busquets, Beckham, Oakley, Weller, Vassell, Anelka

well that's roughly right if you believe all the Brighton and Leicester fans on here

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Who ever wrote this post need to wake up, its never going to happen, Beckham to sign for Leicester well all i can say is - keep taking your pills.

Agree0 Disagree0

No, that's roughly right if you believe all the posts made on here, there's a difference between the posts and the fans from those teams. You'll probably find that 90% of the most ridiculous rumours are posted by fans of other sides looking for a reaction - and people like you come along and give them what they want, so next time they'll do it again. Well done

Agree0 Disagree0

I would suggest that the majority of rumours come from fans of the clubs themselves. You can pick off the fabrications because there about about three in as many minutes. The reason why Leicester and Brighton fans have been targeted are because Leicester and Brighton fans are generally coming across as delusional. If I was a Leicester fan, I'd be slightly worried (and not only about my dubious parentage).

Agree0 Disagree0

You were do so well until that last bit of rubbish, you almost seemed sensible. So why would you be worried then? What in-depth knowledge of Leicester prompts you to say that? (is this the bit where you trot out the 'dodgy thai's' line?)

I have no issue with anyone arguing a logical case but if it's the same tired nonsense relating to a TV programme you watched then i'd suggest you take your head out of your arse. Maybe have a look at thisisleicesterhsire and see what Leicester's owners have to say for themselves... anyhoo, i'm waiting with baited breath for your thoughts on the future of Leicester City.

Just been told by a very reliable source, Ken Bates is waiting for the transfer market to work itself into a frenzy. When the dust settles expect to see between 12 and 15 players joining Leeds.
Uncle Ken cannot believe the money being bandied about, his words were "Why all these fees am i the only one that knows Subbueto players cost next to nothing?"

Leicester city fan. Just love coming on here every day but getting fed up with all the haters. Being honest I'm looking forward to this season but also realise it could go t*ts up if we don't win promotion. It is a small minority of lcfc fans and other teams fans who put the crap up. Wouldn't every fan be excited if your team had spent way more than the Arsenals of the world like we have. 99% of us foxes fans are realists

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Well said. I'd argue the t*ts up comment as the players signed to date have signed 3-4yr deals and whilst i don't claim to have inside knowledge, i think it's fairly obvious that in a league as tight as the Championship, nobody would sign players to huge salaries on the basis of a promised promotion. I think we can be reasonably certain that lessons of the past will have been learn and that the deals will be sustainable if the ultimate goal isn't acheived.

I've yet to meet a Leicester fan who thinks we're a shoo in for automatic promotion, most of us know better than that I think we have a legitimate shot and i think we'll be there or thereabouts, but it's by no means certain.

Agree0 Disagree0

Be excited, but keep it in check. You spanked a lot of cash on loans last season (fail) and have spanked a lot of cash on permanent signings this season (not guaranteed success). Promotion or bust? Can't have been reassuring to see the owners on the Dispatches programme. Let's hope all the signings gel and you reach the promised land fast... Be awful if you get turned over on the first day of the new season by cashless Cov.

Agree0 Disagree0

It wouldn't be awful at all, it's expected to be quite honest. Leicester will be putting out a brand new side and whilst the majority of those players will have had pre-season together, they will be far from the finished article.

I fully expect us to be in the mix until Christmas but largely inconsistent at the same time. The make or break will be the Christmas and New Year fixtures and that's when i'd look to our depth as the deciding factor. Many teams (Forest for example) have a cracking first team but once injuries bite, as they do over the hectic New Year period, they fall away due to a lack of depth. At Leicester Sven has built almost two full sides, he said he wanted two potential starting players per position and that's almost what he's got now. We still need another 3 players and we've been promised that at least one will come onboard next week, who that is nobody knows because Sven doesn't tell anyone (hence 90% of rumours being total garbage)

The loan players of last season were a must, Sven joined at a time when the real quality players had been signed and so he had to look to loans in order to shake up the team. This season he's had the time, and money, to go after his priority targets. Other fans hate that we have money and they don't but show me someone who says they'd rather be skint and i'll show you a liar.

The players bought in have been funded by the owners, not loans. The investment to date is over £10m (not bad for a man trying to sell the club eh?) and there are plans afoot to improve the training ground and Stadium, again, not bad for a bloke looking to cash in.

TV is not all powerful and, amazing as it may seem, they make stuff up on TV just as often as the newspapers do.

Crystal Palace Transfer Update:

- Antonio Pedroza and his agent will be in talks with Palace next week after impressing Dougie during his trial.

- Crystal Palace are also waiting on Anthony Gardner. Last week Anthony rejected a move to Reading due to they were offering less than Palace, and Anthony hasn't had any other bids sept for Crystal Palace, so will see more movement on Gardner next week.

- Shefki Kuqi has been trainning with the first team, and only will join the club if he takes a massive pay cut.

- Palace Last week signed Jonathan parr for an undisclosed fee from Aalesmand.

- Chris Lines and Morgan Gould transfers to Palace have closed, no movement to be made by Dougie for these two players.

- Rohan Ricketts will NOT be joinning Palace, he has held talks with different clubs in England, but not Crystal Palace.

- Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle have been in contact with Palace over a possible move for Nathanial Clyne.

- Liverpool have been in contacted with Crystal Palace over Wilfried Zaha, but nothing so far has been agreed.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

*sigh* every day there are ridiculous rumours linking Leicester (and others) to players they have no hope of signing but the clue is in the name - RUMOUR - as long as dumb people take what they see written on the interweb as fact, there will be other people writing garbage just to wind them up.

The fella who replied to this rumour first is obviously today's fool, well done fool, take a bow. You fell for a stupid rumour and provided the OP with some entertainment in the process.

Agree0 Disagree0

*sigh* The right thinking people of Leicester come out and try to look down their noses (past the monocle) on others. IT is a Football Rumours and BANTER site, the 'fool' has engaged in banter and you have singularly failed to access it due to generations of inbreeding.

Agree0 Disagree0

Imitation is the finest form of flattery, so thanks for that Cletus.

If you define 'Banter' as falling hook, line and sinker for a stupid rumour relating to a play Leicester couldn't possibly hope to sign then you're correct. However, i suspect you could do with a thesaurus (or do they only exist in our posh Leicester houses?)

Banter;

teasing, badinage, chaff, chaffing, chitchat, derision, dissing, exchange, fun, gossip, jeering, jesting, joking, joshing, kidding, mockery, persiflage, play, raillery, repartee, ribbing, ridicule, small talk

I don't see "getting suckered on a dumb rumour" listed, do you?

aguero has stated he would like to play for man city, let me re word that for you mr aguero and put what you really mean, i would love to sign for city, atletico madrid wont sell me to real madrid, so i will sign for city, take the arab money and in 1 years time i will become unsettled, homesick and get my agent to start a media campaign and force through a move to real madrid, in the meantime i will kiss the city badge , and say how as a boy i dreamt of playing for such a huge club like city. its all too obvious and makes you sick, the same would apply if any club here in england was to sign ganso, neymar, pastore, sanchez or any top oversea's player, they come for the cash or too establish themselves and then orchestrate a move to a bigger club, or a club with a sugar daddy and line their pockets {Ed025's Note - you wont get no arguments from me, on this one..

Oriol Romeu and Romelu Lukaku are the 2 players chelsea are chasing, they have been working on deals around the clock, and are near to signing Lukaku, now any deal involving modric could cost 40mill which could be used instead on Oriol Romeu and Romelu Lukaku

redknapp knows modric will prob leave this summer, and secertly will admitt that modric going would open up funds to sign 3 top players, which spurs need to keep up with the top teams, CROUCH will be up for grabs once funds come in, as spurs know currently they havent top quality goal scorers wise compared to top sides
