Dundee Utd striker Johnny Russell is a target for Malkys Cardiff City,he sees the young pacey Scott as a good prospect

Believable2 Unbelievable1

He has years to go on his contract. So if he leaves he will leave, for at least £3 million.Goodwilly only went for £2 million,as he had six months left on his contract.J.R is a good player though.Good in the air,be good foil for Miller.A.M

Cody mcdonald has turned down approach from Colchester United and looking at signing for bigger club Swindon town

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Is this the "big" club that barely manages 7,000 attendance while chasing promotion?

Agree0 Disagree0

You mean the club that easily reaches 7K + every week, unlike that moth eaten club Colchester that barely makes 3k a week and a ground that looks the same....

James Constable is showing the interest of league one clubs Chesterfield and Bournemouth in a deal worht around 150k.
Constable has already turned down League 2 swindon and wants to go to a bigger club in the first division

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Factually this story is incorrect.

Constable rang intrim Chairman Jeremy Wray asking for a little more time to think about it. When Jeremy Wray told Paolo - his answer was straight away, if her needs to think about it, we dont want him, end of!

Thats what really happened, but hey....somethings just dont come out, and who cares, Constable will always be a league 2 player........Shame really

Richard Lambert left out of Southamptons team toniight is signing for Premership team Wigan Athletic in a deal worht upto 2 million pounds. Lambert believes its time he made the step up to the prem as the bubble has burst at southampton {Ed003's Note - Or he was just serving the last match of his suspension for his red card the other week]

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Thank you ED003 - I suspect some mischief here. Highly unlikely the Championship's top scorer will be moving anywhere for less than the ridiculous transfer fees being quoted for players below him or in lower leagues, methinks. Something smells fishy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes lambert leaving a side who will get promoted to one that will get relegated shortly after signing a long term contract

Agree0 Disagree0

"Leaving a side who will get promoted" - I thought he was a Southampton player?

It's official ! The Southampton bubble HAS BURST ! Exactly as we all predicted a few weeks ago. All down hill for The Saints from now on.

Believable12 Unbelievable4

Ha ha ha! it's funny cos it's true! notice how quiet the bighead soton fans are now?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh you are right it's official, you said so, 27 games in and second in the Championship, its a catastrophe. Grow up mate everyteam in the the land has a blip, we had no Lallana or Lambert last night in a way loseing might of done us a favour, because it proves we have no strenght in depth which by the way the real Saints fans knew this from the start of the season even when we started like we did. As for being down hill from now on, we will see but to fair every fan on here apart from Saints fans have been saying that from day one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ooooh ! Have we touched a nerve? Thats a sign of nervousness that comment. Yes, all teams have a blip. And Saints were the first to jump on teams like Brighton when then went on their blip. However, they have picked up at the right time. Saints LOSING IT at the wrong time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Southampton have lost their bottle, simple as that, call it a blip if you like, the fact is, without your two best players you were worse than crap! i'm torn now, on the one hand i want you to miss the playoffs (likely) on the other i want you to go up so we can laugh at you when you get relegated again.

St ledger to Ipswich

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Morgan will happen, not so sure about St Ledger going, his performance last night was superb and he was very strong V's Forest too. I think he might have had another chat with Pearson, either that or he's busily trying to show us what a mistake it is to let him go. All credit to him, he's played very very well lately.

Some footballers ITK gossip from the SHIP in LYTHAM

It appears that GRAHAM WESTLEY's second week at PNE isn't going to be a very good one.

It appears that PAUL COUTTS has submitted a transfer request this morning. A number of clubs in the Championship have been alerted to the Midfielders availability….No news yet, but certain to have left the club by the end of the month.

Also Looks like NEIL MELLOR will be seeing out his contract at the club and will look to leave on a FREE in the summer. IAN HUME is just 70/30 on leaving this month as his injury could scupper a proposed deal with MK DONS…..WESTLEY wants him gone to bring in a replacement that doesn't spend more time on the injury list than on the pitch.

ADAM BARTON's proposed move to PETERBOROUGH is still being discussed….PNE holding out for a player plus cash deal

ok i'll come right to the point i'm a saints fan and everything that's being said about southampton fc on this site is terrible. yes people on this site have been bigging up our club but can't you say the same for qpr or newcastle before this season, so really you should be looking at the clubs this season who have been buying big and only know getting strong in the season (leicester, west ham) etc. so yes southampton got beat tonight but really look at where we are and where all the big boys are at this point it kinder puts those to shame a team from league 1 know second in the championship lol

Believable2 Unbelievable2

See where you are after feb 14th mate

Agree0 Disagree0

What a surprise, we shouldn't concern ourselves with southampton turning to dogs**t, we should focus our attentions on teams like Leicester instead.

Accept it pal, the Southampton fans on here have behaved like dicks all season and when it comes back to them, they don't like it. Well tough luck, everyone is laughing at you now, and i'm sure the vast majority of fans want to see anyone but you lot go up. How will you do in the Championship next season when Lambert and Laaaaalalala have gone? I think the Leicester result tells it's own story. You're a two man team, nothing scary about you lot at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that a West Ham fan on here. So now we are going to here from you Hammers, were was you you wasnt top of the league. Very much like Leicester fans before the season when they was spending all that money couldnt shut them up on here, yet dont here from them much now do we, they must be only 13th in the Championship.

After watching the Southampton game tonight it is clear that they now have to break the bank and pay the money that Celtic want to sign Gary Hooper who is a class act and will thrive at Southampton.
Come on Southampton let's pay the money and get Gary Hooper in!

Believable3 Unbelievable1

It was a disappointing team effort as we looked to have no usual ball control. The midfield were AWOL giving Leicester free reign to run the game. Pearson forced the game and we couldnt match them!! well bounce back big time with confidence.

hello idiots..... if southampton are on the slide(haha)from their meteoric rise from league 1 to top of the championship, then other teams are in a dreadful state. Come on we have not done that bad have we?
Look at those donkeys down the road that bought the FA cup with a dodgy manager and owner and stuffed the taxman in the process!!
We will be there or there abouts again next year and the year after , being a stable club with a great academy and loads of money in the bank. so.....
say what you like b ut we are honest ,hard working and solvent football club, unlike some!
Come on you reds , keep the faith and wave bye bye to local derbies as those down the road got starstruck lost the football path and sold their soul to the devils that corrupted them.
We have come back bigger and strtonger and will be a force again very soon.
I LOVE YOU SOUTHAMPTON . F . C AND NO MATTER WHAT, WE ARE ON THE RIGHT PATH C.O.Y.R

Believable8 Unbelievable1

See u at Oakwell next season Wombwell Red

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't call other fans idiots thank you - and stop making outrageous claims. It's not that long ago we were in severe financial trouble ourselves so have some respect and some humility. You're blinding yourself to reality. Sure we've got SOME good players but not the quality in depth that others have. And sure, we've had a stunning start to the campaign but lets just let the rest of the season unfold and see what happens. I think you'll find that we'll continue to struggle without our key players - we need to build a stronger team to be able to compete over a season. I hope I'm wrong but I suspect not. I will not be joining you in your rapture over Pompey's difficulties - I hope they survive and we can look forward to many more south coast derbies in the future. I don't envy them their predicament. Be proud of the club and keep the faith but please stop the crowing - all you'll achieve is to make everyone hate us and we were never a club like that.

And Wombwell Red - probably mate but you'll understand if I say hope not!

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's all laugh at Southampton! Another one of the billy big b****cks brigade doing all he can to divert attention... before they got smashed it was all "look at us, we're brilliant" but all of a sudden it's "we'll be there or thereabouts next season" - Bwaaaaa!

Portsmouth have turned down a second bid from Ipswich of £1.6 million for Pearce & Ward, Ipswich might make a third bid, as time is pushing on for both clubs, but if that's turned down then Ipswich will look elsewhere, of which they have other irons in the fire, so Portsmouth have a only week to get themselves sorted with some sales otherwise its bye bye time, will be deducted at least 10 to 15 points and hello div1, that's if their lucky, can see another Luton Town being done here

Millwall are close to sealing a deal for Adam Le Fondre from Reading. Reading are looking at bringing in several new faces following the huge investment from their new Russian backers, and Le Fondre is deemed to be surplus to requirements and will be allowed to join the Lions before the end of the January deadline. Despite shining during his brief spell, Le Fondre is not happy following a spell on the bench, and new big signings will push him further down the pecking order. what the donald duck is goin on at rangers jus now? first we cant afford a st johnstone player and now we cant offer an estonian defender who is a free agent a contract...hes been playing in NORWAY ffs how much would he be askin for?...5grand a week max? Even better we hav given a trial to a bosnian striker who has scored 48 goals in 216 club appearances in his entire career...thats less than a goal every 4 games..he also hasnt played since last may because no other club wants him...its got egil ostenstad written all over it! Big jelavic will probz be sold next monday or tuesday an craig whyte will use the old 'we never had enuf time to replace him' excuse. it looks like we are stuck with this lying crook for the long haul fellow bears...dark days ahead.

He has a half decent strike rate at international level. My Greek mates say he is a good at making them.At least he is a international,un like the St Johnstone bloke.Who would be off to play in Italy or Greace if he could.Like Musliminovic has done. Also Norway pays better wages than the SPL clubs. You would know that if you had a clue. The game over there has been on the up for years. So we have no devine rights on players. And Leeds want Jaager, and they are a big club to.Even if they are just playing in the championship just now.So the fella has to make up his mind.If winning means a lot to him,and playing in Europe. He will decide Glasgow is the right move for him.Ally

I am a sunderland season ticket holder and i was very impressed with your team on saturday. You played some really good football, but did not create a great deal from it probably due to MON tactics. If our last manager had still been in charge ,Swansea would have won the game.I hope you keep all of your player's and your manager. If so you will do the premiership proud in the future. Teams like yours are refreshing for the prem. and a possible threat to the so called big 4

Jelavic's dad has revealed that his son will not go to W-Ham or QPR as he thinks he is too good for them. His father went on to say his son wants to sign for liverpool.

He should get a 2nd opinion before going to Liverpool.

Shame Liverpool have no interest in him whatsoever, none, nada, zilch, zero, nanty

I'm a big Everton fan and just thought I'd take time out and say I wish we played football like you. Every game is 90 minutes of back to the wall defending for us and we should really take a leaf out of the book of Brendan Rodgers. Always good entertaining, all or nothing football!.

Reading are going to sign everyone like Southampton and Leicester

Reading aren't the kind of club to go buying players for fun, they buy sensibly and within realistic price ranges

Read the news and the website - do your research before coming out with rubbish like this

Believable1 Unbelievable0

No question, the thing that Reading wont do is spend recklessly, they have a good rep for being a prudent club who dont throw money around, and this investment certainly wont change that operating theory

Agree0 Disagree0

And the one thing saints do not do is publish a like to have list.....thats just a dream of a few of our over jealeous supporters......

Agree0 Disagree0

The only team who let people know who they want is West Ham, because the lure of London is enough to unsettle most of their targets. Big City, Big Wages, Tin Pot Club.
Reading have a reputation of being prudent because they're generally skint you muppet. If they had millions burning a hole in their pocket they would have spent it. Look at Southampton, according to some of their deadhead fans, they're worth billions, yet they spend next to nothing, that's not prudent, it's stupid. The window will close soon and Soton will have missed the boat, as well as the playoffs.

Absolute tosh, small budget ? who are u kidding , you are one point above Norwich who's wage bill is approx 1/3 of Stokes and probably 1/10th of Man U and the like.
Stoke have a rich benefactor who is currently subsidizing your rise in premiership, don't get fooled about how good Pulis is,You have guys on £40K/week Crouch, Pennant, Shawcross etc so there has been considerable investment. Without doubt the 2 most successful managers in premier league right now are Lambert & Rodgers since both have shown that they can put out a very competitive team in premier with minimal spending I suspect both will go on to manage a major top 6 side in the future.

---------------------------------------------------

Lambert and Rodgers...do me a favour? One good half of a season makes them the most successful managers in the league? Remember Ian Holloway and Blackpool's start to last season. What happens when some of the big spenders wade in and take their best players, Sinclair, Vorm, Holt, etc. Consistency is the key, 4 years in the Premiership now for Stoke and well on the way for a 5th consecutive stay in the top league. I am not arguing that both managers have potential , but when people go on about the 'way Stoke play' I just look at what we have achieved over the last 5 years, if and when both Rodgers and Lambert do that then maybe you could compare. Lets see how both managers deal with the 2nd season syndrome...if they even make it that far. As for wage caps, how the hell would you know what Stoke players earn compare to Norwich or Swansea, I would suspect to get some of the players to play for sides who seemingly were favourites for the drop quite a substantial amount?

Stoke have a strict wage budget in place and we have missed out on players due to wage demands. Lets judge at the end of the season to see where the teams finish.

Dont be silly ed burnley have got goals through the team and we no longer need a striker with getting mcquoid on loan and danny ings only a couple of weeks away.... Hes already scored in a reserve match! UTC {Ed013's Note - Just telling you what EH said mate}

Ex Bristol City Chairman Steve Lansdown who is still the only person connected with the club with any money has decided to splash the cash for the first time EVER ON SOME ACTUAL FOOTBALL PLAYERS!!!!

Steve says he's sorry for the overlook but fell over the other day and banged his head, then when he came round realised that apart from Nicky Maynard he's only ever bought pub players for a few quid here and there and should not
have been so tight with the money when it comes to what actually matters with football! LOL - YES THE PLAYERS! (DOH)

SL says that he bought a very nice car and spent loads of money on the paint, tyres, seats, music etc.
You know all that behind the scenes stuff! Then wondered why the performance was crap, oh he said I forget to put in the petrol.

He nows says that he's going to give Del a whopping 1 Million to spend on another 10 players as the more people
wearing a city top makes him go all fuzzy! He's also ordered another extra long BENCH to fit all the new 10 players on!

He said I could give Del 15 Million for some QUALITY PLAYERS!! (Um well, Um, I may be able to afford it but that ony leaves me 800 Million) but I know
that would probably mean being near TOP of the table, and a very good chance of PROMOTION but we don't want that do we!

PROMOTION and 90 Million. NO! I'd prefer all the heartache and the Fans moaning! Why make it easy for ourselves!

When asked why City Fans MOAN When the club is near the bottom of the table and City fans MOAN when we get beat most of the time, BUT also why City fans MOAN when people talk about spending some PROPER MONEY FOR A CHANGE ON SOME QUALITY PLAYERS he said
THEY DON'T LIKE IT! They BROWN NOSE ME SO MUCH and want me to keep my pennies and think that I'm going to leave them something when I've gone!
