Luke Shaw will be off to united for a sum of £10m after they have lost interest in Baines

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10M for the best 18 yoa English striker - I don't think so. You would probably need 18 to 20M mark.

{Ed001's Note - striker??}

Defender lol

Mmmm methinks COYR's may have been at the cooking sherry :-)

SOME of the United fans are proving to be as ignorant and arrogant re Shaw as the Chelsea fans proved themselves to be.

Not quite sure what's going on with the WEST HAM striker search situation but I have to admit as an outsider looking in, its turning into a bit of a fiasco. RUmours abound that a deal has been agreed between West ham and Quaglialella but not with JUVE? REALLY?
Also West Ham are after (GET THIS) Cardozo, Bolitelii, Demba Ba, Lambert and Crouch and if all else fails Pele. I am sick of hearing how West Ham need strikers but have no salary room so they must sell players. Surely the board knew who they were buying, how much for, how much salary room they had etc etc etc because if they are now stating they can;t sign anyone because no salary space that's laughable and very poor financial management. So your telling me that West Ham have one fit striker and they buy DOWNING? REALLY, come on

New day, new rumours, new suggestions and same old names being touted round. As it stands at the minute I believe Billy Sharp is signing for 17 different clubs, all from someone in the know. I have also heard and read that Matt Phillips Blackpool's winger with the broken arm is allegedly signing for at least 4 clubs, all done deals just waiting to be announced. I want to know how, if a player is injured, he is going to be likely to be able to prove his fitness and pass a medical considering he has not trained properly for weeks and weeks. Now on the back of thatb I want to know what the point is of people making these spurious claims and expecting people to swallow them. With the best will in the world I do not envisage the majority of people to believe some of the stuff they are reading, however there may be a small minority who jump on the bandwagon. I have merely used 2 players as examples in this but anyone who like me reads this site regularly and pays attention to what is said will know there are many more. Please people if you are going to post, make it worthwhile and put something with substance, otherwise don't waste our time with your fabricated guff!

Thanks

{Ed001's Note - Downing joined Villa while long term injured, Carroll joined Liverpool while also suffering a long term injury. If you took the time to do some research, instead of venting your anger, you would see it happens a fair bit. The medical is not about basic fitness, that can be gained through hard work on the training pitches. They are more looking for long term issues with health, bone damage, organ damage etc that can cause problems.}

That is as may be Ed and it was not the main focus of my post it was more about people's fantasy rumours, every time that a [layer becomes available or is doing well then every man and his dog is wanting to sign them allegedly because of a true source close to the club, more often than not a 'man in the pub said'! I apologise Ed if my slight rant offended but surely people can see where I am coming from

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I do understand where you are coming from, with that. But you did ask how an injured player can be moving club, so I provided you with an answer to the question mate.}

No worries (big grin)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I probably should have pointed that out to be fair, sorry.}

This is getting ridiculous and beyond frustrating, Sinclair to Southampton now in permanent deal! Would be so p****d off if we miss him also. Jp is making me question his ability. You need to spend something to have half chance, not 40 mil plus like other teams but can't do it by loaning players, driving there value up then sending them back to their own team. Or by free signings. Sinclair for 5-6 mil is a bargain especially in current climate. It was clear for all to see Saturday. no width, no creativity. anelka got no service. Just sign Sinclair before someone else does. Get Moses aswell. We could be set then. If we don't. I fear a silly relegation battle on our hands.

Third McCormack bid rejected, time to move on and hope they struggle with their wage bill, he isn't worth more than 1.5m has had a couple of good games in the last 7 years with Leeds and Cardiff not enough quality for a whole championship season never mind if we do get promoted, we've cut our wage bill, Leeds need to cut theirs only one way for them. down

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Very true. Though no world beater Ross had a few good games for us and most fans liked him. Unfortunately Dave Jones didn't and let him go.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oooh don't get bitter, pet! It's obviously hard for Boro to attract any players of quality to the Riverside these days. Juninho could make a return though, again, eh?

Mark Coopers father Terry is one of the mystery figures behind the current board at Swindon Town. Mark was always being prepared to take over from KMAC as manager, and a reason he left was becase Mark was consulted about potential signings behind his back.

Expect Shaun Taylor who was part of Terrys 4th division title winning 1990 squad at Exeter to be brought in as a coach.

If the Sam Hird deal from Chesterfield to Rotherham goes through RUFC are getting a quality player in form. I feel sorry for him because it probably just hasn't happened for him the majority of his time at CFC. He suffered last season when Cook (and I am a Cook fan) played him out of position to accomodate Trotman which to me was very narrow minded. He is in top form at the moment but will obviously move aside to accomodate Cooper and Evatt. Gets turned a little too easy at times when he gets tight on attackers but on the whole reads the game well and can play a great long ball. Good luck if you go Hirdy and great signing for RUFC.
