Peterborough United's Paul Taylor has officially said his goodbyes to The Posh via the social networking site, Facebook. Under Roy Hodgson, West Bromwich Albion did sent scouts down to London Road where Taylor stood out on the pitch. Nothing official as yet, especially with the departure of Roy but a possible move in the summer! Local papers also suggest a Taylor move to QPR or Wolves. Closely linked to this, team-mate David Ball could be off to Preston, with Paul Coutts re-joining Fergie Jr. As part of the deal.

If i was oneill i might be looking at a cut price andy carrol.. Around 10mil Would any Sunderland fans agree with me... Probs not.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Avoid Carroll,
Not a Sunderland fan btw but looking at your squad you have Bendtner who needs to be made permanent,Wickham, Fraizer Campbell, not forgetting little Gyan who's out on loan plus McClean & Sessegnon that look excellent!

Grant Holt, Yakubu, Steven Fletcher, Odemwingie would be my choices :)

SFCmassive

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a Sunderland fan. I think it depends on oneills transfer pot. We need a top striker left winger right winger left back and centre back. If oneill has huge backing I'd like Carroll recon oneill would make him a top player big strong and English everything oneill likes and if available for 10mill why not.

Bristol City are looking to splash the cash this summer after releasing 8 players earlier on today. It is rumoured that the Robins are interested in a number of positions and especially looking to bolster both attack and defence. It seems Mcinees is intersted in a couple of Forest fowards after they have not been given as much pitch time as they would have hoped. Both Matt Derbyshire and David Mcgoldrick are possible targets with now league 1 striker Luke Varney also being a possible target. Another Forest player Luke Chambers could be a target for Mcinnes as he is unsure of his future at the club. Also John Painstil of Leicester could be a possible loan after lack of games with Richard Foster going across to left back. Finally another target is West Ham midfielder Freddie Sears after he has had a very quiet season and is looking to get regular football next season.

Shane long will not rejoin Reading fc in the transfer window. He feels that his injury problems this season at the hawthorns have held him back and he wants to prove himself at west brom. He also would eventually want to play in Europe at the moment he would be more likely to do that at west brom. The people who say he Is going back are reading fans who just miss their top player last season. So unlucky :) boing boing

Saints want to buy some of the following players

Jordan Rhodes-Huddersfield £5m
Gary Hooper-Celtic £10m
Matt Jarvis - wolves £6m
Kevin Doyle - wolves £5m

Not sure about hooper as he wants to play champs. League football next season

Believable0 Unbelievable3

This is not a Saints fan posting this so dont react,
Rhodes, is a possible but unproven at a high level, 5m is arisk IMO.
Hooper, IMO is overated score goals in a very poor league and 10m really.
Jarvis, bigger more established Prem clubs will be after him.
Doyle, not to sure about him pretty average i think, if he does leave Wolves i would imagine he would return back to Reading.

Agree0 Disagree0

He'll only get two games in Champions league anyway they'll be punted in third qualifying round, then back to looking forward to games in the highlands

Jamal Campbell ryce, lee Barnard AND freddy Eastwood all to return to Southend united IF the club are playing in league one next season. I've heard it from one of the players partners and a return to Essex would suit all parties as family's all still live in the areA. Fox will get murdered for pace in the Premier league, he is reckless and I agree a liability get rid!

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Maybe so but at least give him a chance, I'm sure he'll work on playing against pace in the summer and we'll never know how he'll get on till next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Give the lad a chance!
I expect everybody wrote Grant Holt off when Norwich got promoted & look what's happened he's surprised everyone and hit the Premiership with storm.

Plus he's better than Dickson & Harding

SFCmassive

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree we need to stegthen but remember most of the players we have are the same players that beat Blackpool in the FA Cup 2 seasons ago and the same players that gave Man U a run fir there money for 60 minutes. I think if we add some good quality players with Prem experience then the likes of Fox and Fonte will only improve. We have to give them a chance.
Dont get me wrong there are some players like Hammond, Dickson, Barnard, Forte etc...that are just not good enough and will be sold our released.

Agree0 Disagree0

We should be enjoying and savouring the moment, and let the players who got us there do the same.....time for speculation will come soon enough......

Pompey - doesnt

Agree0 Disagree0

I sure am jealous of Pompey know can we swap positions?

Agree0 Disagree0

Portsmouth FC:
Losing players,
Rubbish ground,
Financial difficulty,
Poor facilities,
Relegated to League one

on the other hand ....

Southampton FC:
Good squad & hopefully attracting more/better quality players,
Great stadium,
Financially sound and business is done wisely,
Fantastic training facilities at Staplewood & more work being done still to make it even better,
Just been promoted to Premiership.

It's a tough choice :P but I would say Southampton are going in the right direction, Yes Pompey's history make look good but at the end of the day you need to look to the future and sadly Portsmouth football club haven't got one.

Liverpool not a big club anymore. How do you rate a big club. If its winning things they have won more than arsenal and man city in the last 6 years. If its on fan base they have more than Chelsea aresanal and man city. If its revenue they sell more shirts than aresanal man city and Chelsea. So how do you clarify not a big club ? Or do you mean rich club ? Don't get it. Or do you mean haven't won league for twenty years ? That would mean arsenal man city and Chelsea were small clubs in europe would it not ?
