It's common knowledge that Jay Rodriguez has recently bought a house in the Burnley area and there are extremely strong rumours that he is not willing to move south. Jay is holding out in the hope that Everton or Wigan will match Saints bid. If not he will see out the final year of his contract with his home town club.

Deja vu. Billy Sharpe was not willing to move south and Maynard was going to sign a new contract. But, yeah right, Jay is gonna risk missing the Prem bus and Burnley are gonna let him go for free in 12 mos. The overused adjective, deluded, is entirely appropriate.

Holt. You are on a decent enough wage already. £15,000 a week? Correct me if I'm wrong. You definitely deserve a pay rise for working your socks off every week and banging in Premier League goals for fun! Obviously, we would love you to stay but if you do leave, do not follow Sir Paul Lambert to Villa. You are too good for them. I am sure Alan Pardew would welcome you with open arms and would love a big striker to add a bit of variety to his strike force. European football and who knows maybe even the Chamions League the season after that as well as you getting an awesome wage and being closer to your family! Sounds good eh? For all you manager less prem clubs no deal or transfers would be done by any club until I a manager has been appointed and the club knows what money and people the new managers are looking at ..so villa and WBA and norwich and Swansea your signing know one until unget a manager first

I want to say a big thank you to Paul Lambert for what he has achieved at Norwich. I wish him all the best wherever he ends up and hope that all other Norwich fans are thinking in the same way. We would not be where we are now if it wasnt for him

Why all the hate towards PNE!? They're just getting on with their own business. Just heard that owen and heskey seen leaving deepdale. Followed by EVERY other out of contract player in the football league! HaHa seriously we're going to win D1 this season.

They are just getting on with their business yeah. But the signings are a bit mixed. They have got in some good ones like Lee Holmes and that Arsenal kid...but some others are a bit dubious. In theory they should reach the play-offs at least though and good luck to them.

Just to set it straight, we offered him a new contract which he declined as he wants first team football. Fair play to him if you sign him but he'll likely go to Everton or Villa.

Swansea have just announced there not selling any of their players to Liverpool until at least 12 months which rules out Sigurdsson going to Liverpool so will he join Swansea or have a change of heart and join reading?

Sigurdsson is not a swansea player. He will be either a liverpool player or a Reading player. They only reason he was going to Swansea was of Rogers and now he has left, so the next time he will be in Swansea will be in the away dressing room.

Reading are now extremly rich. They will be able to attract quality.

I think the EPL will be in for a shock from the three new kids on the block...

I am a Saints fan, i personaly enjoy that people have writing us off before a football has even been kicked. Less presure to do well. As a Saints fan we will do as well as we do, if we stay up brilliant, if we dont then so be it. One thing is for sure i personaly will enjoy every minute of it.

I hear barcelona will make a 45mil bid for bale and modric. With the two likely to accept terms and move.

Good deal for spurs as they can use the 45 mil to strengthen some weak areas in the team

Very interesting to see the likes of reina come out and talk about rafa being wanted back by him and some other. Players , I think rodgers could really have a huge job on his hands convincing these players he is the right man, could have some huge calls and might have to weed these players out or end up being forced out himself just like avb at Chelski ,

For those saying NCFC don't have enough money to buy anyone, can I just point out Norwich are nearly completely out of debt, unlike Aston Villa who are in HUGE debt, plus we spent alot last year, and it has already been said by the board we will spend alot this year.
We're not in money troubles, as the annual figures prove, and will spend money on players and increasing stadium size.

Why bother your be relegated next year millions in debt and no ambition
