It's common knowledge that Jay Rodriguez has recently bought a house in the Burnley area and there are extremely strong rumours that he is not willing to move south. Jay is holding out in the hope that Everton or Wigan will match Saints bid. If not he will see out the final year of his contract with his home town club.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Deja vu. Billy Sharpe was not willing to move south and Maynard was going to sign a new contract. But, yeah right, Jay is gonna risk missing the Prem bus and Burnley are gonna let him go for free in 12 mos. The overused adjective, deluded, is entirely appropriate.

6 Premier league jobs up for grabs this
summer, 4 last summer and yet I
never see Tony Pulis's name ever
come up nor do I see the fans of the
team's involved screaming out for him
to be appointed. I wonder why!!
They don't call him "The Entertainer"
for nothing!!!

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Maybe he's happy with his 5th season in the Prem with Stoke ;-)

Holt. You are on a decent enough wage already. £15,000 a week? Correct me if I'm wrong. You definitely deserve a pay rise for working your socks off every week and banging in Premier League goals for fun! Obviously, we would love you to stay but if you do leave, do not follow Sir Paul Lambert to Villa. You are too good for them. I am sure Alan Pardew would welcome you with open arms and would love a big striker to add a bit of variety to his strike force. European football and who knows maybe even the Chamions League the season after that as well as you getting an awesome wage and being closer to your family! Sounds good eh? Of course, we want to stay but whatever happens we all wish you every success for the future and England may come calling for the 2014 World Cup! Thank you for your service to the club! All the best Holty!

Are you mad how would holt get in a newcastle team instead of cisse and ba, and he doesnt deserve european football never mind champions league! he would do half decent at a team like stoke though

Heard we have been linked with ben foster, however i think personally we will stick with who we have currently and probably bulk up the midfield and defence. By signing a "better" keeper would leave kelvin davis wondering what he has done wrong. The gaffer has got a very hard decision to make, bialkowski leaving was right choice he made big mistakes last year. Reading and westham have very good keepers in my own opinion i would go for either scott loach or alex smithies as they would prob be happy on the bench.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

They are just getting on with their business yeah. But the signings are a bit mixed. They have got in some good ones like Lee Holmes and that Arsenal kid...but some others are a bit dubious. In theory they should reach the play-offs at least though and good luck to them.

Grant Holts agent has been on BBC Radio Norfolk today discussing why Holt is still wishing to leave Norwich. Apparently it was agreed that if he did well in the season just passed, the contract could be renegotiated. Holt wanted to Renegotiate, but not for money.
Holt wanted an extra year on his contract, and the club said no due to his age. I can't see any top flight clubs offering him a 3 year deal right now.

P.S - Agent also mentioned there would also be no deal done with Villa, sorry folks.

Swansea have just announced there not selling any of their players to Liverpool until at least 12 months which rules out Sigurdsson going to Liverpool so will he join Swansea or have a change of heart and join reading?

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Sigurdsson is not a swansea player. He will be either a liverpool player or a Reading player. They only reason he was going to Swansea was of Rogers and now he has left, so the next time he will be in Swansea will be in the away dressing room.

To all my fellow deluded norwich fans, who ever said grant holt wants to stay now because Lambert has left don't know what their on about. Holt and Lambert like each other and I don't care if holt wants to leave. Hes 31 and we will sell him for max 2million. Let Lambert go to villa, he will be expected to perform miracles and if he doesn't deliver his career will go down hill from there. Just like mike walker. Any norwich fan thinking holt loves it here is wrong. He wants one more big money move before he gets to old.

All these people who keep saying Reading are a little club... we are now in the top 10 of the richest clubs in the world, who have got themselves in a position because they have been run well, they are a community club and JM has always said that noone is bigger than the club, we are a club in ascendancy and ambition. We will be able to attract big names because we have the ambition and teamwork that attracts, and whether you like it or not, money does talk, and a player is just as likely to join the Royals if he is being offered more to play for them and the offer of regular first team football, than a squad player who might make the occasional appearance off the bench. Mid table finish for Reading next season then Europe inside three years. Will you still be saying then that we are only a small club?

Very interesting to see the likes of reina come out and talk about rafa being wanted back by him and some other. Players , I think rodgers could really have a huge job on his hands convincing these players he is the right man, could have some huge calls and might have to weed these players out or end up being forced out himself just like avb at Chelski ,

Believable1 Unbelievable0

01 Jun 2012 09:37:05
i think we can easily say that you need champions league quality players to get into the champions league and the rumours flying around that rodgers will raid swansea for a few of their players. Now if sinclair was cheap and sigurdsson could be bought for 6 million then thats fine there good young prospects but there are rumours of joe allen 10 million and other players. i would much rather get afellay 6-7 million although arsenal are favourites, krasic on the cheap as juve want to sell and elia too maybe a swap deal with some deadwood could be arranged with aquilani seeming to be going this summer to italy. two wingers from these would help with good delivery for big andy upfront then bellamy can play in his preferred striking role, and with maxi leaving it will offer good competition for downing and kuyt. hope liverpool give sterling a good run this year in first team

For those saying NCFC don't have enough money to buy anyone, can I just point out Norwich are nearly completely out of debt, unlike Aston Villa who are in HUGE debt, plus we spent alot last year, and it has already been said by the board we will spend alot this year.
We're not in money troubles, as the annual figures prove, and will spend money on players and increasing stadium size.
