I'm not itk but city should try and do a swap deal plus cash with Taylor or stead going to Bradford for nahki wells

Also

I really think that Albert is going although IMO he's the most overrated player in the championship he's going to be highly publicised with playing in Africa cup of nations who h will only increase the amount of clubs looking at him so therefore IMO I would bring in Ritchie of Swindon got bags of potential and still young also very highly rated by a host of clubs

Come on lansdown get your wallet out and back o Driscoll

As a Forest fan I would say Defenders is what you want, SOD got our midfield and strikers playing great passing and attacking football but was defence that was issue....even with a few decent players we were leaking silly goals which I think is what lead to his downfall but he is a nice guy and a good coach who try to play good football, he has an eye for a bargain and gets the best out of average players and youngsters....hope he does well for ya!

Hi Ed
Derby fan here.Just to let you the Bid for Dexter Blackstock is part of Nigel clough's Mind tricks he learnt from his dad to unsettle the player. We arient in for any players in january as we simply don't have the wage budget. But in the summer expect 4-5 young talents
Will grigg and Jon taylor have been mentioned a lot by people in the know.As he wants to make the U21s competitive and add different types of players for depth
Mpstly targeting out of contract players. Then a few
Players from abroad on trial. {Ed003's Note - Hi}

The sacking of Nigel Adkins is a disgrace. He brought them from near the bottom of League 1 to the Prem in 3 seasons on a low budget. What were the Southampton board expecting, 15th in the one of the toughest leagues in the world and being sacked after drawing against the champions of Europe from 2 goals down. And to add to that bringing in an unproven manager who can't speak a word of English...an utter shamble!

What's done is done now. I'm not happy how we treated Nigel Adkins. He did a tremendous job at saints, he will always be appreciated by saints fans. He will fall on his feet, he's a very good manager. We need to get behind the boys now on Monday night and continue on. They need the support, no good getting negative, it doesn't help our fight for survival. Nothing will bring Nigel back. Lets look forward to 3 points on Monday. COYR

What I don't understand is, Warnock is saying about Becchio "We're not the ones turning his head so after the deadline he'll get down to it and be back to normal". However, when we enquire about a player, Sean Harvey is told "not for sale" end of enquiry. How does it not work both ways??

Southampton Fans need to remember where we were before Marcus Liebherr appointed Cortese as Chairman.

We are now a well run, financially sound club with excellent prospects. Just like the sacking of Pardew this has come as a shock but look how much better off we are now.

We need to put faith in the chairman and get behind the new manager, it's not his fault Adkins was sacked after all.

The last thing we need is a fan's revolt look what that's doing to Chelsea.

Adkins has been a hero for us and yes it seems like poor timing but it is done. Send of Adkins with the applause he deserves on Monday night but do not revolt against the new man.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Thats a great post, couldn't agree more. I thought adkins was great but our league position was still on a knife edge. cortese has not let us down yet, so deserves the benefit of the doubt. I will be really gutted, if on monday night some negativity in the crowd scuppers our chances of beating everton. all the best for the future nige COYR!

Agree5 Disagree3

Agree with the first post and one thing we should all remember Adkins did not do it all on his own, without Cortese there would be NO Southampton

Adkins sacked at Southampton. Shocking decision in my view. He has done a great job with back to back promotions and currently well placed for survival in the Premier League. Come on Deano - bring him to Huddersfield and we could have some fun over the next couple of years!

Newcastle fan here and I'm baffled by this news. Adkins was on a decent run the team obviously up for the fight after the Chelsea result.

How can Pardew still be in a job if Adkins was deemed not good enough?

Saints seemed to be doing well, out of the drop zone, battling draw at Stamford Bridge, what's going on? Owners about to cut and run? Makes no sense, sorry for him and the fans Bryhr Pilgrim

Let me supply some FACTS about swindon town and administration.

The club owe nothing to suppliers the bank or the revenue, they are under budget and in a good state of financial health.

Andrew Black is looking to sell he stake in the club, not all of it as he wishes to remain, but does not want sole responsibility of the club finances, there are 7 yes 7 consortiums interested and a specialist accountant is currently carrying out due dilligence.

The 13.5million debt is owed to previous directors and Andrew Black who bought the club in 2008 in the form of interest free loans, the directors are willing to write off some of that money for the interested consortium to take control.

There is no need or any plans to sell players that paolo doesn't want to, he is trying to offload some players to remove them from the wage bill so the club can Keep Holland and Martin for the rest of the season.

QPR will only sell DJ as there is no point loaning him out only to let him leave on a free in the summer. Cisse off to the far east. Looks like QPR have the only firm offer on the table for M'Villa to sign on a permanent basis in the window with other clubs looking to loan till the summer with a view to buy but things change very quickly as we all know. Expect a CB in soon looks like Harry is holding out to see if we can get a couple of points closer to safety to make the prospect more inviting, although Bramble has been touted I really can't see that happening, with a reputation only matched by Emile Heskey!! Would love to see Chris Samba but find that very unlikely. Peter Odemwingie looks probable if the press are to be believed, Livermore is no longer coming in due to Sandro being injured, I would also expect Harry to have another trick up his sleeve. Oh yeah Mackie is going nowhere !!
