Huddersfield Town striker Jordan Rhodes is being linked with a January move away from Galpharm Stadium. The in form striker who is valued at £3 Million has been attracting alot of attention from bigger clubs because of his many goals this season. One team that has been linked strongly with the 21 year old Scotland international is Bolton Wanderers. The Premiership side have been struggling in front of goal this season and feel that Rhodes is the solution to this problem. Another team strongly linked with Rhodes is Leicester City. Leicester have had a poor first half of the season and with Darius Vassell out injured for the rest of the season and summer signing Beckford out of form, Leicester see Jordan Rhodes as a perfect strike partner for the club's top goalscorer David Nugent. Leicester are also hoping to wrap up deals in January for Birmingham City winger Nathan Redmond and Crystal Palace forward Wilfred Zaha to help bolster their attack.

Chris Kirkland may go on loan in January should he recover in time, with Leeds looking for a short term stopper to ease their woeful goalkeeping crisis in which Andy Lonergan and Paul Rachubka hve both been below the boil. Martinez has refused to rule out a loan move, and states that, "If he is fit, we will loan him, although it is unlikely". The unfortunate goalkeeper has had a career riddled with injury, and should hope to rescue his dignity with a short term loan move. This follows a tragic loan move to the Keepmoat in August, when he returned to the DW after just 2 days.

Lonners is quality. Made a mistake (in some peoples eyes) against Reading but made up for it with a good stop. Doesnt Kirkland have back trouble? A spell at Leeds would finish him with the amount of times he'd be bending over picking the ball up out of the net.

If the Championship in England is so good ! can anyone tell me why so many Celtic "rejects" look like world beaters playing for various teams in it ....
ie: Jos Hooiveld and Danny Fox at Southampton , Ross Wallace at Burnley , Stephen Pearson at Bristol City , David Marshall , Lee Naylor and Kenny Miller at Cardiff City and Scott McDonald , Stephen McManus and Barry Robson at Middlesbrough who have all been deemed surplus to requirements at Celtic , you could add Daryl Murphy and Darren O'Dea on loan at Ipswich and Leeds to that list , maybe not as good a league after all !!

Like you said, they do look quite classy in the English second tier - but it is a team game and they look good as part of the team......enjoy the next hogmanay jock,,,,....COYRs

Oxford Utd, are rumoured to be building the forth and final part of their Kaasam Stadium.....

The finance for the construction work is rumoured to be coming from the sale of their in form striker "Constable" to local rivals Swindon Town who look more likely to be promoted this season.

Also, money is being stumpped up by Oxford Utd's new sponsor "Bejams"; the eighties frozen food franchise has been resurected to fund the struggling Club back into the big time, of League 1.

You heard it here first!!

Nigel Adkins has been given a £6m transfer budget by Chairman Nicola Cortese for January's transfer window.

Billy Sharp remains a target but he may wait til the summer to move.

Jay Rodriguez' situation is still being monitored at Burnley, the young striker has been in good form and has noticed Burnley will most likely be playing championship football next year and believes Southampton could be a top flight team.

Lukas Jutkiewicz is the top target. A fee of around £1.5m will be enough to bring the Southampton born striker to the club.

Finally Brian Stock will join in January to help bring in some more midfield goals. £1m will be enough to secure his services.

I know this is a rumour site but these are not rumours, fact is no one knows what players clubs will buy until it is anounced by the club it self, Saints will buy a striker in January thats. The players you have mentioned above are players that have already been mentioned all season but they have also been linked to alot of other clubs as well. I am sure Adkins knows who he wants and whoever they are i am sure he will get them. {Ed003's Note - It was placed on the banter page for people to talk/banter about, not the rumour page }

One thing you can be sure of is that Saints do not not announce signings until the deal is done.....COYRs

Cardiff boss Malcky Mackay has hinted a swoop for Stoke City defender Marc Wilson as it looks as though defender Darc Blake has had enough at the Bluebirds. He is looking likely to join Barnsley after 6 years in Wales. Goalkeeper Tom Heaton could be used as a makeweight in the deal for Wilson, as he is a good prospect for Cardiff should he sign. Malky Mackay has refused to comment on the matter, only saying that it is on a "wait and see" basis. The prospect of signing a youthful goalkeeper to be backup to Begovic after Thomas Sorensen retires will most likely carry the deal through for Tony Pulis.
