Nick Powell has allegedly agreed terms with Ipswich according to his friend who I played cricket against in Macclesfield. Apparently he only sees it as a one or two year stepping stone to Premier League.

I think its prob the right decision to let King Kenny go. It was by mutual consent by the way...... Not Sacked. Kenny has said all along, if he cant make a difference to lfc then he would step aside as he the clubs best interest at heart.

So my choice would have to be Rafa back. I may upset a few of my red compatriots, however my feelings are that we need someone who knows the club and breaths the club, just like Kenny, but with a new generation playing mentality. Rafa certainly had this. He may annoy us with his decisions sometimes but brought in some fantastic players.

Whats your thoughts Reds??

Cabaye of Newcastle has recently apologised for some harsh words to everton midfielder Tim Cahill....

After the whistle had gone... Cabaye made claims to Cahill that Newcastle were a bigger club than Everton. This was followed by the furious reaction of Tim Cahill..

Cabaye has since apologised and retracted his statement.

"I accept my three-match ban," Cahill said in a statement.

"My reaction at the end of the game was out of character but I was disgusted at comments made to me by Cabaye.

"Cabaye has apologised via his club's website and as far as I am concerned, the matter is now closed."

"I would like to apologise for the cross words I exchanged with Tim Cahill, which resulted in his red card and my booking on the final whistle," said the 26-year-old Cabaye

Once again the morons have disgraced huiddersfield town,To alan smith if its any consolation they treat their own fans just as badly.a couple of years ago i took a friend to norwich away and because he is a southerner we were constantly harrassed culminating in one of the drunken morons hitting me on the back of the head quite hard.When i jumped up to challenge his behaviour the other 3 drunks joined in .I am 57 years old and have health issues.to the buck toothed person who hit me i look for you at every match with my 2 soldier sons,i have supported town for 48 years but i detest some of the pond life that follow town,I have to say we have many great fans,the morons are a few hundred.come on mr hoyle get rid of them the police know who they are. {Ed013's Note - Lets hope the video evidence bans them for life}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Lmao! so you detest violence and the morons who purport to support Huddersfield but you look for a certain someone at every match with your two "soldier sons" (presumably your two soldier sons don't do any soldiering whenever Huddersfield play at home?) - why do you and the A-Team look for people at home games if not to cause trouble by way of retribution? Isn't that a case of the pot calling the kettle, and at your age, shouldn't you grow up?

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course i should have pointed out games when they are available.I just saw red when i saw the latest incident and typed it without proof reading it,I always went to games with a good attitude and never hurt or offended a soul which is why i was incensed at being attacked.If that offends you tough. {Ed013's Note - Either way, what happened the other night requires punishment. What ever people think of Alan Smith, it is an assault. End of the day your manager played for Leeds and managed Leeds, but I bet he doesn't get hit! I think Huddersfield had a chance of signing Smith, but not anymore. Its football people, not war}

Agree0 Disagree0

It doesn't offend me in the slightest, but i think it makes your whole argument laughable and your credibility ends there. Violence begets violence... the way to root out the thugs is not to attack them, there are procedures in place to deal with people who attack you, be it in a Football ground or on the street, but if you choose to ignore those procedures, and seek your own retribution, then it makes you no better than your nemesis, and if that offends you, tough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Huddersfield had a chance of signing Smith! Why would they want him, he is well past it?

just read that saints are a bigger club than wolves had to laugh really we have got a better ground better fans better fan base n btw jarvis is twice the player than any of your wingers 8 goals in a poor team off the wing is impressive so yeah wolves want 10 mill for him hes got 3 years left on his contract so we can ask what we want for him same with fletcher when wolves was after hooper celtic valued him at 10mill fletcher worth 15 mill then ?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Well done for throwing all your stats at us, failed to mention one important stat, we now in the premiere league and your not. All your top players will leave, not saying any will come to us but they will leave. The Championship next season is as tough as it has ever been some very very good teams in that league and i am not to sure you will get promoted straight away.

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought you was going to win the league wasnt that your thing but didnt reading beat you lol n who cares what league were in if players love the club they will stay west ham newcastle have showed that n anyway we have only got 4 outstanding players kites henno fletch n jarvis fletch tweeted we'll be back kites has said i wanna stop here for the long term n henno said i wanna be back as soon as playing for wolves so i think you should look at facts 1st n btw well do what you couldnt thats win the league

Agree0 Disagree0

Wolves a big club dream on, I'm laughing all the way to the PREMIER league

Agree0 Disagree0

Wolves are much bigger than saints , because you drop down it dont change you become a smaller club , look at wolves history then look at saints lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and to add to my last post....
OP, do you remember this scoreline?
Wolves 0-6 Southampton.
Marek Saganowski hat trick.
I think someone is still a bit hurt at that defeat ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think you've seen Lallana and shame you can't fill your small ground with more of your fan base. Btw, which club did the 'saints are a bigger club' poster support?

Agree0 Disagree0

It really bugs me when fans go on about history of there club and how it makes them a big club because the have a great history.
Yes of course everyone whant trophys in there cabinet but take liverpool they are one of the most historic clubs in the WORLD but sorry to say at the present time they are no were near as big a club then the likes of the two Manchester Clubs.
History means nothing i am affraid its all about the present and the future.
Pompey all ways go on about the 2 fa cups they won and 2 league titles (i Think) what good is that if they fold.
The end of the day at present Saints are a bigger club then Wolves FACT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares? Wolves have proven themselves to be incapable of living with the big boys and have turned into a YoYo club. I suspect they're going to be a Yo these days though, the Championship is a nightmare to get out of and there are much better sides than Wolves currently waiting their turn. Wolves, like Southampton, will be lucky to avoid relegation. Two big clubs who have had their day and who will be facing lean times in the not too distant - argue all you like, i don't care, both sides are going to be gubbed next season.

Everyone saying Southampton should not be interested in League one stars, Look at Jordan Rhodes would be class in the prem, maybe Saints should buy him, give him half a season in the championship on loan somewhere then release him in the prem. People saying league 1 players cant hack prem, look at anthony pilkington he had a class season at norwich straight from the prem, look at alex oxalde chamberlain hes going to ukraine and poland, so people who dont know much about football should keep their comments to themselves. I believe Saints need a few young proven prem players. A winger, a hardman in midfield, a centre back a young goalie to learn from kel then take over in a few years and maybe a right back

i was in tesco last night with my dad and we bumped into huw jenkins (swansea chairman)who my dad was at school with, they started talking and then swansea transfers came up and he hinted at the possible signings of :
- Sigurdsson- 8m
- simon cox- 2m
- lacina traore-3m
-james collins-3m
-caulker-loan
-bertrand-2m
-michael essien(i know sounds farfetched but he hasnt played much for chelsea recently and brendan has chelsea connections)
-and maybe matt jarvis and marvin emnes!

But he only said will would have to sell a few before we buy my best bet is,

Gower to charlton
moore to leicester
lita to bristol city
dobbie to blackpool
donnely to watford(loan)
and if the jarvis deal happens either Sinclair or routledge will go with aston villa and liverpool interested in sinclair and leicester birmingham and sheffield wednesday interested in routledge !

I got up this morning and flicked on sky sports before the off to work. The sunshine was shimmering through the curtains, coffee in hand and Millie Clode summarising recent F1 events – the league tables were scrolling through on the right hand side of the screen, and the Championship showed Southampton in yellow and promoted to Premiership, and Portsmouth in Red relegated to L1 – now as far as good starts to a day goes, it does not get much better than that……COYRs…..

Blues bank over £50m

Everton have received almost £50m revenue for this season from the TV deal for Premier League games.

Each year the Premier League break up the £1.2bn TV rights between the 20 top flight teams, with emphasis put on more money for finishing higher up the league, and Everton took £48.9m this season. This figure will be bumped up to over £50m once the FA Cup prize and TV money is taken into account.

From the Premier League, each team receives

£13.7m domestic TV money
£18.7m overseas TV money
£570k for each televised game
£755k for each league position
