man city are about to get well and truely shafted by uefa. There is no way a small club like city can sustain the wages etc when the new rules kick in, why, cos they have no worldwide fanbase whatsoever. Just a few thousand in dreary ole manchester. Added to that is the small matter of the naming rights dea and the blatant cheating of the rules, uefa will make an example of city and come down heavy on them.
City (and lil ole chelsea) have completely destroyed the transfer market and lets be honest about hgt neither of these clubs had ever done anything before their rich owners because they are both smallish clubs.
Uefa will bring justice.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

JUSTICE... WHO DOES HE PLAY FOR..?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wake up you critics im waiting for some amusing comments

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing will come of it,citys New deal with etihad will go through, therefore adding huge amounts of cash to city, and making it appear that city make enough money to cover the wage bill ,it makes a mockery of the new rules.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Oh go to bed child.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow, two people agree, that bit of hate was well worth posting, congratulations.

Agree0 Disagree0

No hate mate just an opinion nothing against either club but think new rules coming out how can city and chelsea get into europe as spending more than taking. uefa looking into citys sponsorship deal and man utd looking at floating club on stock to get some money in this from a club getting over 70,000 every home game.

Rumours at Brighton are we are going in for Ebanks Blake andJarvis from Wolves. Poyet seems to think 2.2m for the two should get Wolves intrested, Me personally i wish we had got Miller from West Brom as Ebanks Blake always looks a tad on the fat side and Jarvis runs around like headless chicken, i dont think either will improve us to much.In Poyet we trust.

Southampton are now in talks over changing there kit colour from red and White to the beautiful claret and blue and changing there stadium name to turf moor. It is quite clear the southamptons fans won't care as they are clearly thick as they call Burnley rubbish but think they are better by taking there team...
Don't think your going up cause they have already proven they can't win promotion and that's why were getting a nw team.....

I am hearing that Tottenham are ready to do a player swap deal in order to get Odemwingie in before the end of the transfer window. They are offering Peter Crouch in exchange for West Broms Peter Odemwingie. No cash will change hands.

Not a bad deal for albion that - he would be a great partner for Long. {Ed025's Note - long + very long..

Believable0 Unbelievable2

So that makes Odemwingie worth in effect £9-£10m ? Nonsense. Think Crouch will stay where he is. Why drop down to go to WBA?

Roy Hodgson now in talks with two top european teams and an international one. His future is looking more uncertain at west brom. Roy wants european or international football not relagation or championship football. I am a Mk Dons fan my wife knows some people inside westbrom they will try and get chris hughton if he does decide to move
------------------------------------------------------
Absolute twaddle. Hodgson has been backed by WBA and given everything he has asked for. He even said the other day the only job he would leave WBA for would be the England managers position. And seriously, you think WBA would come after Hughton from us? Get a life Dingle
---------------------------------------------
Actually what he said the other day was he would like to manage england. I don't recall the words "the ONLY job I would leave for." being said at all.

If Odemwingie wants to leave I'd let him go to Spurs if they would do a straight swap for Crouch. I know he gets stick everywhere he goes, including the Hawthorns, but he would be a great addition to our squad and a great partner in attack with Long. Both the same age so a fair trade. However, I'd rather keep Odemwingie - but only if he wants to stay.

WHY CAN'T EVERYONE GET IT??

The only time you will hear about Southampton Fc signing anyone is when it is posted on their OFFICIAL WEBSITE

Saints do not want:
NICKY MAYNARD - NOT GOOD ENOUGH
ADAM LE FONDRE - NOT GOOD ENOUGH
JAY RODRIGUEZ - OVER PRICED

With all signings Saints make, they will not announce names until the deal is done

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Why cant you get it bonehead? This is a rumours/banter site, you know, a bit of fun, a laugh, ever heard of it? You take your crummy club and yourself too seriously.

Portsmouth went into administration and
paid 20p in the pound to creditors,
Crystal Palace did the same but paid 1p
in the pound, just as the majority of
other clubs that entered administration,
so get over it As for 'buying the FA Cup'
, no more or less true than Blackburn,
Chelsea, Man Utd or soon to be Man City
buying success. Having said that, you can invest and still win nothing, as with Liverpool and Arsenal of late. Pompey won the cup
because their team at that time deserved
it. They nearly did it a second time a
year or so later with a more limited team too, but at that point, Chelsea's team
deserved it. Those are the simplre truths
.

Jay Rod stats Appearances Goals
2007–Burnley 70 (26)
2008-Stirling Albion (loan) 11 (3)
2010- Barnsley (loan) 6 (1)

What is the big deal about this player...hardly prolific is he, played 6 games for Barnsley last year.......

Burnley you can keep him
--------------------------------------
I don't know who you support, but he's an england u21 international and easily has the most potential for a striker in the championship. Read a book.

------------------------

You could argue that Shane Long had a poor goal to appearance ratio before last season, It comes down to the fact that Jay is much younger and has potential to grow into a bigger and better player. Also if your using those stats to make out that Jay-Rod is poor. What about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain? He was bought for that price because of his age and potential just like Jay will go for a high price because of his age and potential

My understanding what that Southampton paid all debts fully, having rearranged the mortgage. It was never anything like what Portsmouth owed just a smallish overdraft.
Portsmouth's creditors agreed to take 20p in the pound. Why? I don't know, it should never have been allowed. And, don't forget that they owed the government huge amounts. So effectively they stole from you and I basically to get the FA Cup.
---
HOWEVER, HMRC (The Government) wanted Portsmouth to go into Liquidation, in which case they would have received NOTHING. They got a better deal with the CVA.

Jay Rod spent his whole time at Burnley last season making 42 appearances in total scoring 15 goals in his first season as a first choice striker... thats why hes such a valuble assest as he has massive potential and has already established himself which was again proved last week when he scored 4 goals earning his first senior hatrick

Blackpool will not sign anyone until the end of the transfer window, possibly deadline day, when they will agree terms with a host of loan players to add to the strikeforce, defense and there will also be a keeper. So FORGET about Puncheon, Le Fondre or a new Harewood and get used to the prems unused players.

JayRod is too good for Southampton - he should wait until a Premier League club comes in for him like Wigan or Bolton.

Agree0 Disagree0

JayRod wants to join Saints because he knows they are going to walk the league with more than 100 points and take the Premier League by storm next season

With JR, Jack Cork and Danny Fox on board, Saints will be unstoppable this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a saints fan and quite frankly i'm bored of everyone that we've signed about 50times now, saints will not walk the league, cocky fans like you that give us saints fans a bad name for being arrogant.

Agree0 Disagree0

Indeed. The rest of the League are quaking in their boots over the likes of Jack Cork. If your statement wasn't full blown sarcasm, I can see a rude awakening for Saints fans like you by about Christmas time. One on the radio this morning, a punter saying 'Play Offs as minimum' because you had 'Championship level players last season'. This is the Championship. 18 teams remain who were in the Championship last season... they might well have also had Championship level players. You could argue that the three relegated teams had Championship level players. So join the club and try a dose of realism... you will do well, but you are all on trips if you think the Play Offs are a shoe in. There are a host of clubs who are similarly or better placed than yourselves... walk before you can run, kids.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets be real guys Arsenal are not going to sign Tevez he would cost us 10 million a year in wages which will absolutely smash arsenals wage structure.
nasri will go to man city for 23 mil straight cash deal.
Arsenal need to forget about it and move on.
buy some more english players such as cahill.
with cahill wilshere chamberlain and gibbs we are becoming more english.
would love to see marvin martin at the club and hazard but cannot see wenger splashing 22 mil on him marvin would be available for a round 12 million

Carthorse carroll the worst signing of all time. Adam will be rubbish as well. Kenny to leave by the end of the year

Portsmouth are paying back a record amount for any sports club going into admin. Southampton paid back a penny to the pound, so both teams are as bad as each other , both clubs still owe the company i work for money from previous debts etc. Just both get on with your seasons and be glad the football on the south coast in general is looking up.

lets get something straight - there is no way that west brom are in debt. The club are in a stable financial state (at worst). Over the past four seasons albion have gained more than twenty five million in player sales alone and the club are planning to extend the ground's capacity at the end of the season. All those that say we have no money since signing shane long obviously don't know that we have actually only spent 4.5 million on him and that the other 3 will come from add-ons, they also fail to realise that long is the only player we have signed that actually cost a transfer fee.
As for odemwingie, he does not wish to leave. The issue over his new contract is that the club won't give him long enough, he wants a three year deal as he is thirty and wants assurances over his long-term football, but albion are only offering him an improved wage packet on his current contract.
Also, personally I cannot see owen hargreaves becoming an albion player unless he is willing to sacrifice wages for regular football, whereas he could get both moving to a MLS side, if only for a year to prove his fitness, I also cannot see that the hangelaand rumours are true as fulham will most likely finish the season above west brom, maybe pushing towards the europa league places.

Over the past couple of years there have been so many posts about bringing back Forsell. He has been in the UK for 2 weeks, had trials with 2 championship clubs, his twitter messages are more or less saying ''come and get me'' but apart from a couple of messages on this page there is nothing from the thousands of Blues fans wanting him back. I thought there would be at least a campaign of sorts, has everybody changed their minds. He was an idle and a legend, talked about in the same vain as TF. He is still younger than some of our recent imports and still injury prone but come on, even if he is beyond his sell by date, can only hop on one leg and needs 5 mins rest every 2 or 3 minutes, he is still a Blues idle and legend and there is not many Blues fans that would not like to see him grace the St Andrews turf once more and we know there would be a sell out on his debut and no-one left seated to applaud him onto the pitch. Its a no brainer, a crowd pleaser and yes he will only play 6 games before being injured for the rest of the season but so what, we can re-live some past glories and we have plenty of replacements. We need some cheer for gods sake, give us what we want for a change, we pay the money and its us that have to suffer most Saturdays - I feel better now
