according to alan whitely we are after 3 new players before August 31. Two squad players which may be a left back and centre half. But more interestingly a player to fill a first team spot. He said that these signing will come over the next few weeks. We could do with one more midfielder for cover a ball winner would be good to help mutch and whittingham create play.

Hi. 3 days to go before season kicks
off! Man United have signed RVP for
24million. Good move IMO. Already,
some fans are calling for Del Boy's head
at Ashton Gate after last nights shock
defeat against the Gills. Guys, please
chill! The REAL game starts Saturday
against Forest! The guy got us out of
trouble after that person Millen left!
Baldock to sign for BRISTOL CITY
before Saturday! Ed, is it true that
City have signed Curtis Jones from
Celtic? {Ed044's Note - looks like it think he'll be playing youth team football this season though

Players i think would definitely get torquay promoted:
Jake Robinson (250k) - striker and former loanee would bolster strike options and add more goals.
Chris Whelpdale (250k) - fast and skillful winger who has an eye for the pass and puts in 100% every match.

ED and anyone else what do you think of these players?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Steve Evans has given the names of 2 strikers he wants to bring to rotherham for a fee to the board, it is now down to them sorting a deal for one or the other. These strikers are James Constable of Oxford & Stuart Beavon of Wycombe. He was initially interested in Chris O'grady of Sheffield Wednesday but they are reluctant to sell and he would not be welcomed back by many Rotherham fans so Evans has given up on him

Gary Mackey Steven and Johnny Russell are expected to sign at Huddersfield Town tomorrow. In return Dundee Utd are to take Jimmy Spencer and Anton Robinson or Oscar Goburn on season long loans as part of the deal. This is seen by Huddersfield as a strong development move for the afore mentioned players. Rumour has it that Lloyd Allinson may also join another club (possible Rochdale) on a loan basis. Town are targeting the possiblility of Mark Lillis's son Josh coming in as No 3 keeper initially for new season and forward planning for when Alex Smithies moves on.

I know people come on here to make up ridiculous rumours however I do have a good friend who works at Bridgewater Hospital in Manchester and he has told me Manchester United have three medicals booked this week.

One was done yesterday (14/08/12 - Angelo Henriquez), and the other two are to be completed tomorrow (16/08/12) and Friday (17/08/12).

I pushed him on who they were (thinking possibly Robin van Persie and Leighton Baines) and he said from what he knows, van Persie is one (14/08/12) and the other one was a shock to me as he told me that everyone there can't believe it either as the medical is apparently for Marouane Fellaini !

Obviously the Everton links with Baines must have been a smokescreen.

Remember that you heard this from Tony T. {Ed025's Note - fellaini was having his hair shaved off...well its as plausible as yours..

Balrum Chanrai now not gonna save PFC.
Liquidation looms, from what I can see this is probably
The best way to go now as their team will be humiliated in league one, and couldalso struggle in the southern amateur leagues

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Shame, would have been a guaranteed 6 points for everyone else

How much longer are the

going to let this poor excuse
for a football club go on

liquidate them now and

Sorry to hear Chanrai has removed his offer to buy your club. Not really sure where it leaves you but you hope you can survive not only to loyal fans but for peoples lively hoods who work at the club i.e the unknown behind the scenes that are left.

Man of the Match between Swindon and Brighton tonight was Andy Williams. Wish he signed for Barnsley when we had chance! Going to cause so many problems with his first touch and ability to run at people.
Wes Foderingham looks a good signing and have done well to sign him cheap.
Jay McEveley showed why Barnsley got rid of him. Decent start but showed why he's more of a League 1 player then Championship.
Two centre halves didn't look anything special but did enough to keep away a top attacker in Vicente and a good player in Craig Noone.
Joe Devera also played pretty average but made sure Brighton players knew where he was.
Matty Ritchie isn't work £1 million. Looked good at times but nothing special.
De Vitta is clearly not good enough and should stay in League 2. Worse performance I've seen off a Swindon player in a long time.
Alan Navorro looked another good player. Two goals flattered his overall performance but did well in a two man midfield against three opposition.
Paul Benson put another good performance in and did really well with his first goal. Looks like him and Williams will do well this season.
Tommy Miller looked pretty good at times. Looks to be a good signing for Town.
Also, a quick word on Simon Ferry. Was only on for 10 minutes but made such a difference. Looks as though Ferry, Miller and Navarro are three good options for Swindon.

Vicente looked a real force tonight for Brighton. If he stays fit, he could be a real force this year, especially if he plays more centrally.
Lewis Dunk is not good enough for a top Premier League side. Wouldn't mind seeing someone like West Ham or Southampton sign him though.
Bruno looks a pretty decent signing.
All three of the midfielders are average players and can see Poyet investing on someone in that position if he wants a play off push.
Wayne Bridge looked an average Championship player, not an ex England international.
Craig Noone is going to cause problems this year and have done well to keep him so far.
Ashley Barnes didn't look the player he was last season, looks a bit unfit.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

You can keep Dunk. Thanks but no thanks
