Chelsea to do a man city soon and give themselves a hefty stadium naming deal, both small clubs who simply havent the fanbase to supplement their spending so they cheat the new financial rules instead.
Come on fifa clamp down on these pathetic clubs and let big well run clubs like Tottenham, Arsenal and Everton benefit.

I find it odd that you mention name changes for money and that fifa need to clamp down on these and then state arsenal as one of your examples of a well run club when their stadium is the emirates which is a airline company. Isn't that the same thing that man city have in the name of the ground

Think the main poster meant the timing of those deals. Arsenals deal was a few years ago.

I'm waiting on an official response from Fifa, the OP had the good grace to address them, so that surely means Sepp Blatter reads these pages. Can't wait to see what he's got to say about it.

I'm sepp blatter, I agree with the original poster. Except the spurs thing with big h in charge there finances will struggle to pass grade.
If I was Roman I would name the ground after something terrible just to stick two fingers at the people not selling me the stadium

why would zamora get a call-up and not defoe? zamora was the makeweight in the deal for defoe, and capello was at the fulham-spurs match where zamora played 90 mins and didn't score, and defoe played half an hour and scored against the run of play! madness

I've been watching Southampton for over forty years - they are playing the best football I've seen since the Channon, Keegan era. Thing's couldn't be better at present. Nigel Adkins has been a revelation since he arrived. Expect a couple of major signings in January to continue our promotion drive.

Very well said. i agree completely

Totally agree. I was just a lad watching Keegan and co. and we used to play some fantastic free flowing football back then. NA has brought it back. I'm not too sure that we'll bring in any big names in January, but we'll see. I'd like to see Jordan Rhodes come in, but I imagine he'll be picked up by a Prem club. COYR

You mean he will be picked up by a better and bigger team then?
Agree0
Disagree1
Also great to see our average home attendances are bigger than those at 7 Prem clubs
Agree2

I'm under no illusions as to the size and stature of our club. There will always be bigger clubs than us but I'm very happy with where Saints are and the direction we're going. What about you and your club? COYR
Agree2

If you go fishing on here, its usually a Saints fan who bites, not sharks, mullets.

Yeah, the skates are feeding off the bottom

They're so easy to hook! It's like fishing for minnows, literally. If only they were a bit brighter.

Paul Sturrock returning to Plymouth what a load of jokers on this site . The day Paul Sturrock walks back in this club is the day I leave it . Besides nobody wants him back you keep him Southend the further away from Home Park the better.
