Poor season ticket sales will force the clubs owners to make further cuts to the playing squad. The failure of Sky Blues fans to support their club properly is costing the club money they can ill afford to lose.

Since 2001, the declining fan attendance figures have been the prime reason for continuing failure on the pitch with the club unable to spend money from ticket sales

Ed what do you think of Rodwell going to City , Rhoades
now coming to us and Matt Jarvis or Downing on loan {Ed001's Note - by us, I guess you mean Everton? In which case Downing will not be joining, even if Liverpool had any intention to loan him out, it wouldn't be to Everton. It really depends on how much they get, some will go towards paying down debt, there certainly won't be enough to buy Rhodes and Jarvis, I wouldn't have thought.}

swearing and slagging

but dont hold youre
breath the fa are
gutless

Believable9 Unbelievable2

You are so right footballers should learn to be sportsmen and all take a pay cut.start with Dan Sturridge

Agree2 Disagree0

Well instead of watching football for the next nine months why don't you watch all the sports your so impressed with from Olympics

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree you have a point ... and the fa are clueless and ball less .. but this is a 4 year comp.. not week in week out .. if theses played each other 3 times a week .. they wouldnt be so nice .. like so events we have seen ..... stick to football ..

Although yesterday was quite an impressive match I still think we need a few more signings.
Evra although he's great at going forward, he seems to forget that he's actually a defender, this could cost us dearly in the big games like it did last season. Think the obvious choice is Baines, especially with him being a dead ball specialist and also at 27 is at the right age to help develop the younger lads like Blackett and Brady, I reckon we could get him for 12 Million.
We definitely need someone in the centre of midfield and with the fast improvement of Cleverly as a playmaker I reckon we need a strong midfield player who can win the ball and play box to box. I was really impressed with Cheick Tiote last season and think he would fit the bill perfectly with a bid of around 10-15 Million. I also like Jack Rodwell but believe he's valued at 20+ Million and will head to City.
Last but least, the obvious one, RVP I think this deal will go down right to transfer deadline day like the Berbatov saga with Berba heading in the other direction and 18 Million, great business for both clubs and both players. So around 50 Million for 3 proven Premiership players that I think would see us secure the title and take us far in Europe.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Sorry but whos this about???

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton wont sell baines now they have cash from rodwell, and he would cost closer to 20 mill ,and arsenal dont want berbatov and dont want to sell to a rival

I'm a Swansea fan but no Allen isn't worth 15m, that was just to break his contract, he was class but he was only expensive coz Liverpool wanted him straight away, if the waited, he would've been much cheaper!

Mate u r exactly right! And he is so predictable too! He only cuts inside, u never see him run to the byline and cross, its always cut inside and lose possession! Watched them yesterday and that's all he did. And apparently Johnson has a bad attitude?!? Heard it somewhere, might not be true!?!

Bitter Bournemouth fans are getting boring now, moaning 24 7 about how Burnley are a bigger team than them making them or feeder club. Must be annoying tho knowing we could take anyone of your players whenever we want. Without EH, your nothing but a league 1 club at best. In eddie we trust!!

Soon as the Liebherr family lose interest with their St Mary's hobby, sad Saints will be back in League One where they belong and facing administration.

Joke club without Liebherr money - Pompey are still the pride of the South Coast - and I don't support them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course your a bottom feeder, and one of the blue few that make them the laughing stock of the South coast - deffo not the pride...lol....COYRs

Agree0 Disagree0

Portsmouth has never been and never wll be a bigger club than southampton, also when the liebherrs decide they want to sell the club (not for a very long time) i have no doubt there il be multiple investors ready to ake the reigns as by then we will be playing european football unlike burnley who will continue to have bournmouth has beens and the sel all there decent young player to teams like southampton who can turn them into premiership class players because we have a better acadamy, training system and staff compared to you.

I'm a Swansea supporter and just can't believe how stupid our supporters are on here... Firstly we did receive 7 million for Brendan and Colin Pascoe, and yes we're getting another 15 million off Liverpool for Joe Allen but only in installments!! So don't expect some big massive spending spree because it ain't gonna happen!! Secondly how many more times do I have to tell you persons that if a premier league team loan a player at the start of the season from another premier league club, they can't recall them. So if Adam Johnson did come down on loan for the season, which to be honest I can't see happening in a million years, Man City couldn't recall him!! So please stop posting nonsense and making yourselves look stupid because your making the club look stupid...

Middlesbough still need a bit more movement in the transfer market. Mcdonald not in the squad for the Bury game may signal his departure. Also need to move out mcmanus and Bailey. mcManus on too big a wage as is Bailey. Bailey into last year of his contract and won't be offered another. Club ready to cash in on him and bring in Chelsea's McEachran on loan as cover. Boro strongly linked with Ishmail Miller, we are short of experience up front. We also still need an experienced keeper as cover. To sumarise, mcmanus,Mcdonald and Bailey to leave. A keeper, defender, a midfielder and a striker to come in.
