ssn are reporting that Hull are lining up a £2 million bid for Troy Deeney! Absolutely ridiculous offer IMO as Watford won't sell him unless £10 million plus offer comes in

10 plus who are you kidding 4 at the most. ex con, only 1 prolific season plus i'm pretty sure he would want to jump ship if a higher division team came sniffing around

Deeney is a good championship forward who could make the jump to premier league but to believe his is worth 10 mil is ludicrous. There are players who have been signed or way less who are of a higher quality. Realistically Watford don't want to sell but I imagine if an offer I. The region of 5-6 mil was received from a bigger premiership club they would let him leave.

No first team player leaves Watford any more. unless its for ridiculous money. They've got to be one of the richest clubs in the Championship at the moment!

Its a shame that u have to develop young italians rather than english talent.

you may have money now but we'll see soon. the fair play rules are not to be trifled with.

The way Deeney has been playing he certainly is worth £10m to us, I would be gutted if we sold him because he is incredibly strong, works incredibly hard and has a lot of intelligence and technical ability for a "line leader".

To the respondent who says we don't develop english players and only Italians you will see we do have an incredibly healthy record of player development however the bar will now have been raised and so it will be harder for players from the academy to break through, but the club have invested in 5 year contracts for a number of first year pro's but this will not grab national headlines as it does not further the xenophobic agenda of some our national press.

that was an encouraging win yesterday. but we did give the ball away a lot as usual. we must get out of that habit. it was also nice to see bj on the score sheet. he has been quietly going about his business, I feel he will be an " unsung hero" in future matches. is there any news on hooper? he looked in pain to me, i'm hoping its not serious tho. are you all happy with the squad now or do you think like me we need another fb and striker?
