Sneijder would be USELESS for MUFC as he would have to play where Rooney plays, and that is not going to happen. People need to have faith in cleverley as he will be at utd for years and he has the talent to replace Scholes.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Rooney is over-rated im afaid and wud warm bench at real and barcelona. only reason he plays at utd is only comp he has really is bervo and old man slow coach owen, real hard to hold down a place there isnt it

Hasnt Berbo got joint golden boot for the last 2 season? So it would seem like good competition yes. Im not even a fan of a PL team

Saints Player on saintsfc.co.uk Danny Fox interview: Danny Fox couldn't wait to become a saints player and was wishing he could have been at saints a week ago also he highlights the clubs ambition and size couldn't have seemed happier to leave burnley. Also spoke to Jack Cork and the decision of who to play for was a no brainer.

His words NOT mine log on and listen, just need a player account with any club they all work on each others sites

Jay Rodriguez surely now to follow imminently can't see him wanting to play league 1 football next year, also Charlie Austin surely went to the wrong club when moving from swindon, perhaps someone should tell him the story of the tortoise and the hare

Man City making tentative enquiries about the future of Barca prodigy Thiago Alcantara with a view to a season long loan.

City also keeping a very close eye on recent developments at the camp nou. Pep Guardiola may consider the sale of players when accommodating the new signings of Alexis Sanchez and the likely arrival of Cesc Fabregas in the coming days.

Andres Iniesta is a personal favourite of HRH Sheikh Mansour and ADUG.

QPR rumoured to have signed free agent from argentine division 2 and previous la liga 2 club. Perone will join up with the QPR squad before this weekends clash with Bolton. Another fine addition to this fledgling premier league season for the hoops. oh wait no its not, yet another poor signing when all signs indicate to there being money readily available if only briatore and ecclestone leave and let the real passion shine through. But until then expect failed premiership players and obscure names from lower foreigh leagues. Let the good times role.

Saints fans set to get there second good bit of news today with Jason Puncheon leaving the club.

Millwall have had a bid accepted as well as Wigan and surprisingly Middlesbrough.

Millwall preferred destination for Punch though.

This does however leave Saints slightly short of players in the wide position so Gary Roberts will join as back-up to Adam Lallana and Super Steve De Ridder.

Fee around £150,000

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Were not short on wide players we have guly and holmes, and saints have both dickson and new signing fox who can play lm, even butterfield and chaplow can play rm in an emergency

Right then gents put my mind at rest, being a Swansea fan my knowledge of league 1 and 2 is not what it used to be as we haven't been there for age's (wind your necks in i'm only joking), i've just done my bets for the year and didn't know what clubs for league 1 & 2, my selections are below.
what are your predictions for league 1 & 2

Premier league MAN CITY (Good value E/W)

Leeds (already regretting this) initial thoughts were that they had a half decent side last year and did well with a couple of poor spells, kept most of the same side which is good going so wouldn't have any trouble trying to gel, think this will be the issue with Leicester and Forrest.

and as i said above ins in the coupon I went for Brentford and southend in League 1 & 2 (E/W), so whats the chance for these two?

Find it funny that people said Fox would not join Saints. Just shows how highly people in the world of football think of Saints when a footballer in his own words says - Flattered that Southampton were interested, couldn't get to Southampton quick enough, premiership club in the championship. I love him already. Who's the next player in? Ebanks Blake?
And the person who said Southampton are the 4th biggest club on the South Coast is obviously deluded. Southampton are the biggest club, one of the richest clubs in the country and will be Premiership this time next year.

West Brom can't spend anything for 2 years? Just where did you pull that one from Dingle? West Brom are one of only a few clubs who aren't in debt, we can still spend money THIS season unlike Wolves who have said they need to sell to buy And anyway, Albion aren't on the look out for a LB, Hodgson has said we are in the market for a versatile CB if anything
-------------------------------------------------
well if you whatch the interview u will find that the interview when u signd long ur chairman said now we need to balace the books and ONLY SIGH PLAYER FOR FREE FOR THE NEXT 2 YEARS, and west are in dept there £732,572 and wolves are in £239,304 all the prem teams are now in dept intil the league now starts and they get payed by the leauge.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson has been foiled in bids to bring a new striker to Elland Road as he struggles to fill the gaps left by injuries.

Grayson recently played down the need to sign cover following injuries to forwards Luciano Becchio (hamstring) and Davide Somma, who could be out for up to nine months with cruciate knee ligament damage.

But he was forced to move to draft in a player on loan after Billy Paynter sustained a thigh strain at Southampton.
He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "We were close to doing a deal on Monday but at the last minute the other club changed their mind. That was frustrating but we know what we need to get.

"It's an area we need to look at. We've got some great options here but we haven't got that dominating centre-forward who you need at times. It's something we want but everyone else might be looking for similar players too."

Meanwhile, chairman Ken Bates has confirmed the club cannot afford to sign former striker Alan Smith, who has been told he can leave Newcastle on a free transfer.

Bates said: "We were interested in Alan and Alan, for what it was worth, was willing to consider coming to us.

"But he's on £3million a year and Newcastle wanted a £1million contribution. We can't afford it, as simple as that."

In:
Hargreaves (Pay as you play)
Danny Fox or Wayne Bridge (wages may be a prob)
Robbie Keane
Lescott or Onuoha (loan)

Out:
Henry
Ward

Next years team:

If Levy and Redknapp want to pay £130,000 a week for players they don't want there, then they should refuse Stoke's offer, believed to be £17million. Levy wants £20million for Palacios and Crouch, but if he wants rid and money to bring in a new striker and Diarra he needs to trim the squad and take the money from Stoke. The £17million would then cover the majority (if not all) of the Diarra transfer.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Never? Really? How did you work that out? You clever girl. Levy has an Honours Degree in finance. Why dont you go and have a word. They have a creche at WHL.

Ed001, yeah i agree. Going on what you say then what do you think his cost would be (or is it a case of just meeting the release clause) . Who is your money on ed001 to get llorente? Cheers. {Ed001's Note - Bilbao rejected 35m offers from both Liverpool and Spurs in January, I can't see his price dropping below that, though I do expect them to consider an offer of that magnitude now. They do have to sell for financial reasons, but I just can't see anyone matching that price right now, unless Spurs can rid themselves of an unwanted player to top up their transfer kitty.}

tottenham will struggle to attract any big name foreign players due to the riots near whl although there has been problems across the country. thfc only game to be cancelled this wkend any new players would not be impressed with the scenes if they were to shown around whl burnt out n boarded up shops

Believable0 Unbelievable2

So whose fault is it then? Harrys? Levys? If you go down there take a brush with you. {Ed001's Note - he does have a point, though not about it only affecting Spurs. It must be very off-putting to a foreign player to see the scenes that have happened recently. I think every club in England is going to have to work hard to convince players that it is safe to bring your family into the country.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but the way it is written its like Spurs can do something about it. The area is still a crime scene and cordoned off. Your call ED i dont agree that this should even be put up. We know the consequences of it all. This could any London team depends what route you would take to say Palace, Chelsea? He has singled out WHL at the moment nobody can get near to clean it up. Rant over. {Ed001's Note - I understand what you are saying, I think he is singling you out purely because you are the one people outside of London see as in the centre of it all, with it starting in Tottenham originally. Personally I think it is better to explain that it affects everyone in the country, not just Spurs, rather than just deleting it. But I am happy to delete it if Spurs fans feels it is just an offensive dig at an area that has suffered enough this week at the hands of a few brainless idiots.}

wenger today claimed arsenal had at least 5 worldclass players

wiltshere, fab, nasri, walcott and persie

tomorrow wenger will be claiming he has just 3

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Walcott world class? he can run fast but not much else, wilshere is a huge talent but not world class yet,van persie gets injured too much and hasnt done it at the highest level reguarly,not really one youd want to wage all your money on,nasri also hasnt proved himself against the best,kinda disappears in big games and possibly the same is said of fab, but they are all talented ,except for walcott.

He ii mobile, strong, good in the air, good on the ball, can finish and has decent vision. He can play as a lone striker or as part of a 2 or 3. I think he is the best striker currently available to buy in Europe.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He has a point though it just seems like there a few people who get over excited and think thier club can sign beyond there means and attract players they have no chance of getting, Leicester spring to mind

Agree0 Disagree0

You really should do some homework Leicester have only actually paid a fee for Five players one of 5 mill the other four around the million mark, the rest are all free's or loans. 9 players have been released and three sold for approx 3 million and if blackburn get bamba (not likely) for a fee of 3 - 4 million when we bought him for 500 thou you'll see your petty jealousy is unfounded

Yet another championship team falls in the cup.Proving that I am right about the quality of the championship being of poor standard.Have to laugh at the fans of these clubs.They slate the SPL,yet seem to buy SPL and SFL players.And do not see the irony,in slagging of the Scottish game.Added to also going after our managers. {Ed001's Note - surely it just shows two things: 1. they don't care about the competition. 2. the lower leagues are better. You really talk utter nonsense about it proving anything. I feel like I am reading the posts of a 5 year old, you really haven't got any sense whatsoever and just repeat the same things in the hope it will come true if you say it enough. One day you will realise that the reason the SPL and SFL is weak is because your best players move to play in England. But then you clearly fail to understand the difference between saying a league is weak and saying a country has rubbish players.}

Sorry to put all gooners in a bad mood but Ramsey and Arshavin got injured last nite.Also A.Song played at 3am this morning in the usa and has a 10 hour flight.And if that is not enough we have at least 8 players out injured.Our midfield 3 against Newcastle looks like frimpong,rosicky and lansbury.Just to rub it in nasri played for france last nite.If you look at our situation by the end of August we could be out of the champions league and have no points in the league and i am normally an optimist.Wenger should have sorted out all of the transfers ins and outs a month ago and now we are in big trouble.

epl clubs 2 b checked out by hmrc goodbye 2 all th big wages back 2 th real world

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Why is it goodbye to big wages?

HMRC (HM Revenue and Customs) are interested in tax collection and possibly tax evasion. They have no interest in football clubs who pay big wages, they simply want to ensure the relevant tax is being paid. Unless a player is self employed then it's the clubs responsibility to pay the relevant tax to HMRC, do you think the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal (for example) don't pay tax? You're not that stupid surely?

Oh i think he is that stupid.
