Fed up with all this Jordan Rhodes talk. We don't need to sell him and that's why the asking price is high. Also his family live in the same village as me (in Huddersfield) where he is settled. On top of that he's tied down with a long term contract.

If you don't want him, don't get him. I'd be happy for him to stay.

Bristol City owner has warned fans that he will not be held to ransom after failing to land Richard Keogh from Coventry. He has given City manger a transfer budget of 1m after overseeing the star signing of Cunningham from Man City. Cunningham signed this week on a 4 year deal for an initial 600k deal rising to over 1.4m in total. Coventry City rejected a 500k plus player deal yesterday for Richard Keogh and City are set to opt for homegrown option and go with youngster Wilson to partnet Fontaine in central defence.

Ok enough now children!...you've all had playtime and been let loose on the computers as it was wet playtime!! We at our beloved Amex have faith in the Headmasters(Gus and Mr Bloom) keep up children please. We are not going to sign Jonty Rhodes from a tin pot club called Uddersfield. He has proved nothing that Craig McKail-Smith hasn't done already. So for all of you that are left scratching your tired heads....WHY WOULD WE BLOODY WANT HIM! CMS worked his preverbal nuts off last year and I for one think we should give him another season. If some Johny come lately club like Reading or Southampton want to pay an over inflated 5 or 6million then let them! Am I making sense now Year5...now to bed with you and no Xbox you naughty children. Keep the Faith!

I didnt notice the huge gates last year at wallsall, or the likes of cheltenham luton and others, so how does it work bearing in mind that a wage cap exists in these divisions, based on average gate, or have I got that wrong? don't see why people are moaning about wolves wanting £15m for Fletcher and saying his over priced, he is beast ask any wolves fan who seen him play, give him a chance with his head or his left foot and its a goal 8/10 times and he is only 25 with his best years a head of him. in 3 years in the prem playing for poor teams its fair to say he gets 10 goals a year and only plays 3/4 of the season for wolves due to mick being mental and loveing the ireland boys

What is it about Southampton and Reading being linked with this player and that player, what ever happened to clubs being careful with their cash because what is the point of signing a shed load of foreign mercernaries when they will have a relegation fight...

Believable2 Unbelievable4

They are only rumours hardly any of the players linked with these clubs actually end up signing. I'm sure both clubs know that they will be favs to be relegated, obviously both teams would need to strengthen to try and avoid that.

Agree1 Disagree0

With Saints - all business is behind closed doors and who and when they sign a player is when we all get to hear about it - its great to pipe dream though Egh? COYRs

Agree1 Disagree0

What are you on about? It don't cost to be linked with players. It only costs when you sign the player with transfer fees and wages. Which Reading have spent £0 on transfer fees also foreign? Reading have signed one from abroad and the rest English.

Zaha will sign I believe, marque signing is in the works too. As you see every saints signing say the club is going places, we have one of best youth academy's in the country. We are currently redeveloping our training ground and there are plans in place to redevelop st Mary's into a 50,000 stadium. We are owned by billionaires who love the club and the chairman callus is little baby. We put a 5 year plan in place when the liebhher family tool control of the club and we done it in 3. Southampton are going places so you will be foolish to suggest they will go straight back down.

Just to point out for the benefit of Charlton fans, Cook is very much a utility forward player, SCP has brought him in to develop and will no doubt use him on the bench (I believe it's still only 5 on the bench in champ) We need to trust the manager in his decisions, Cook is only 22, lets cut him some slack and see what he's made of in pre season! As for Wilson, he knows the club and has come back to us with experience through the divisions up to L1, he's in as competition for Solly and nothing more at this time, COYR!

Believable0 Unbelievable2

10 Jul 2012 10:20:37
All the rumours surrounding CAFC are a joke. We are not in a financial crisis as certain non-Charlton fans are implying. Think a certain degree of this can be put down to jealousy, clubs are seeing us doing well with good backing and don't like it. There is truth in a change of income, although it is not threatening to our future. Considering our main backer is anonymous, how can it be said he has pulled out?? Also, if finances were that tight, why have we just appointed a whole new academy set-up, including Jason Euell as a development coach?
Many more years of success to come out of these Addicks!

Fellow Watford fans on here seem to be a little puzzled as to our relationship with Udinese after the recent takeover by the Pozzos.

The rumours linking every Italian free agent/fringe player with us are completely out of keeping with the Pozzo's 'method'.

Expect Zola to be sent 4-5 young players from Udinese's reserves to plug gaps in the squad. After that there may be some players released before any actual signings are made. These signings are likely to be young unknowns from Central/South America and Eastern Europe - in keeping with the Pozzo's legendary scouting network. These signings will be playing for Watford until they prove themselves useful enough to be in Udinese's squad. We're a feeder club now, get used to it.

Ins (all season loans) are likely to be:

Neuton, a Brazilian Left Back
Joel Ekstrand, Swedish Centreback
Alin Bucuroiu, Romanian Goalkeeper

Desparate needs are a Striker and a winger to go opposite Murray. Looking at Udinese's current squad they have an embarassment of riches in these postitions. This could prove to be an interesting few weeks for the Hornets.

Info is from various news sources on the web.

Let's hope so, he's dreadful. Most over rated player I've seen. 80% of his goals were lucky, the other 20% my Mrs could have scored. He'll struggle stepping up a division that's for sure. Cash on now whilst he has some market value and spend the cash quickly before they ask for their money back!

About time you lot out there realised. If you want to buy Jordan Rhodes the bidding starts at 8 Million. The Town fans are laughing there heads of at you lot coming out with silly 4, 5 million offers on the table being a done deal. Hi I live in France and have a fanatic Sochaux supporter friend. He told me this evening (from their fans forum), that defender Yaya Banana has turned down a move to Crystal Palace FC even though the clubs agreed a fee. It is being widely alleged by Sochaux fans that the reason Yaya has decided not to go to London is the represenatative from Crystal Palace who came to meet Yaya and his agent just over 1 week ago, did so whilst completely drunk!
