Leicester City are set to have a good championship season.. This will be through nurturing home grown players through the youth team to develop in to great young talents, and buying young and hungry players from the lower leagues for small fees.

This is all set to take place without them simply splashing out the cash and buying their way to the top... oh wait.. never mind. I guess all they can do is buy their way up.

Wrong Swindon do have the funds as they are backed by 3 multi millionaires as part of a consortium.

Swindon won't be signing Le Fondre though as he'll play min of league one football next season although Le Fondre's Twitter account suggest he's very much interested in playing for Di Canio

Hargreaves won't be joining Bournemouth after intrest from higher clubs such as QPR due to the videos he realeased to prove his fitness.

A bid has been excepted for Simon Frances around the region of 60k and it's thought that he will be moved to left back as a replacement for Rhoys Wiggins.

Barrett will be a lightley to be a first team defender with Cooper and Baudrey will be moved into midfield based on the performance he put on last season as sub.

Theirs no deffant first team spot for Jalal or Flahavan as they are fighting for thier spot.

Mcdermott wont be returning as he's joining Huddersfield and Smith still has a tough decision.

No news on when Garry will return and no news on potentional loan moves for any Burnley players. Its been thought that Bartley will make a retun loan move.

And Eddie Mitchell has stated that Bournemouth arn't fiished in the transfer market and to expect surpizes.
--------------------------------------------------

bit late on the Mcdermott info , he signed for the terriers a week ago and played in our first friendly yesterday

---------------------------------------------------
Plus I doubt the bartley rumour is true as fans would not really like it as the way he left, going behind the board and managers back to sign for Burnley, also i think Bradders made a comment on how he left and he was not at all impressed so i hughly doubt this will happen. also QPR are not interested in Hargreaves it Leicester which he has all but signed for and also Francis will be Bournemouth's RB not LB as Bournemouth are most probably getting the Bristol Rovers LB Sawyer or going to get a loan LB in and let Francis play RB

The players we've lost;

Julian Bennett
Robert Earnshaw
Dele Adebola
Paul McKenna
Guy Moussi (Almost definately)
Kelvin Wilson
Nathan Tyson
(Then Boyd and Konchesky went back to their parent clubs)
I don't see those players as much of a loss if I'm honest.

Bennett never played due to a long term injury.
Earnshaw was poor last season.
McKenna (See above)
Moussi (Came back from injury and never found his feet)
Tyson (Was a bench player, possibly worst loss of the lot)
Wilson (Wanted to go off to Kris Commons at Celtic, barely played a part last season due to Chambo/Morgan
Adebola (Supposed to be one of those impact strikers, hardly Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.)

If we sign ten players, we'll have around 24/25 and with the players we have now, we can mount a serious challenge.

Remember, we're still fourth favourites and Birmingham may struggle.

Cardiff/Leeds will be nowhere near the playoffs this season. Consolidation for them.

Chambers will stop. Guaranteed.

A little point here;

Sven Goran-Eriksson joined Man City in 2007 under the ownership of former Thai president, Thaksin Shinawatra. The club spent big, £30m in one season I recall. The circumstances weren't white as white. Thaksin was wanted for money laundering, fraud and corruption.

Notts County were taken over by Munto Finance, it's fans promised Premier League football in five years. Look who popped up, Sven Goran-Eriksson. Sol Campbell and Kasper Schmeichel were two huge captures for County. Munto Finance were investigated and found to be all sorts of bad things, including frauds.

Sven's next conquest in England is Leicester City, owned by a group throwing over the top fees to sign players such as Matt Mills. Sven still wants Nicky Maynard who will probably cost around £6m. All things considered, Leicester will attempt to buy promotion this season at a cost of around £30m (Wages etc).

Not being funny but whenever Sven turns up at an English club, things look glitzy but if you peel back the wallpaper and take a look at what's underneath, historically, (2/2 times already) there's something wrong.

I'm not bitter, my club is getting promoted this season, I've no doubt about it. Likewise with Leicester, though I doubt they can afford not to.

The last comment is a little dillusional. 'The team that reaches the play-offs gets broken up'. Nobody else will leave Forest, fact. We have about 12 senior players now, only incoming transfers from here on in, guarantee you.

By the way, we'll be signing Premier League quality players with a point to prove, not overpriced players from lower down the leagues.

Cough... It's what Festa and Direby have been doing recently, I mean, come on.

I'll pay you £500k if Chambers leaves Forest for Reading. They'll learn from their mistakes and have him a shiny new contract before it runs down. I'll bet you.

To the Norwich fan who thinks selling Holt for Best is a good idea.

I too am a Norwich fan and I would be appalled to see Holt sold, for any price. The TEAM, the fans, the staff, the board.. everyone has played their part. if you sell Holt you sell a huge part of that, not because you sell a player but you sell the captain, the fans hero, and the team's leader and figurehead. 4.5 million for that? It's worth 40m already.

We are five years ahead of the plan McNally and Lambert worked out, no need to sell our best players. Lambert has done exactly right, bring on United.

Frome studying the newspapers and sports sites I think the look of Tottenham Hotspurs will resemble the following list. Some may be added or deleted but 90% will remain.

Goal. Courtois, Fridel, Cuddiccini

Defence: Corluka, Dawson, Gallsa, Assou-Ekotto, Walker, King, Bassong, Cahill, Tasci, Upson.

Midfield: Lennon, Sandro, VDV, Pienaar, Parker, Pjanic, Diarra, Cole, Evans, Huddlestone, Rose

Forwards: Berbatov, Damaio, Pedroza, Coullibaly(for the future) and one of Llorente, Rossi or Osvaldo.

Just research and you will see this is the closest us punters can come. Of course there will be a few changes but few.

Foster on the plane to USA with WBA, 5.5 million plus Miller to Birmingham signed last night. Jerome Thomas to Newcastle 5.75 million to be sorted this week although he is travelling with the team. Morrison also leaving 4 million Everton, Rangers favourites. Bednar to Middleborough stumbling block 2.25 million price tag. All happening with Roy and Dan plotting next moves to be tied up within next 2 weeks.

He will have to be pragmatic - we all hate taking losses but with the contract running down - £3 - £4m is realistic - who is going to pay more - he could always pay wages and then lose on a bosman - i reckon he would hate that even more - don't even suggest rangers - they are broke

Got to laugh at all you idiots on saying Rangers have no money, as it happens we are probs one of the only clubs around that are not in any debt and there is money to spend otherwise there wouldnt be bids going in for players, so unless you are Rangers owner Craig Whyte you know eff all so away you go play tig with the buses.

To the Watford fans who continue to worry about Brighton overspending. We have spent a reported £4m in the transfer market this summer and recouped £1.5m from sales and also released a large amount of players to free up money for wages. How you can compare us to Leeds, I do not know. They spent £18m on Ferdinand. I feel you ought to worry about your own club as you are in trouble. Yes I think we spent too much on CMS although still a good signing but we are a long way from administration. Also, to say wait and see whether we have a good signing in Will Buckley, your quite right we will have to, however I'm sure he would not have won your player of the year award last season if you thought he was rubbish My predictions are Peterborough, Watford and then one of about 3 or 4 teams will be relegated next season. We will be one of those in middle of bottom half, I'm not stupid but we have enough teams worse than us in this division.

To the person who said Reading FC are in financial difficulty: This is one of the worst rumours i have heard yet> Reading FC are one of the best run football clubs in the country. We just sold Matt Mills for £5M. A great player but yet again we have cashed in at the right time. We will do the same with Shane Long. Again a good player but £8M for a player who scored 21 goals last season in the championship? (he doesnt score hardly any before January, check for yourselves) and Danny Graham of Watford, top scorer in the chmpionship last year, goes for £3.5M. This time next year we will have another 2 or three players who will have come from nowhere and will add 3 or 4 Million onto there valuation. Reading FC are one of the most clever clubs in the country for buying and selling and yet we are still always in and around the play-offs.

Reality check for QPR fans, do you really think you have the squads to compete against the likes of 99% of the teams in the Prem, look at Sunderland, Blackburn, Fulham, Stoke, Newcastle let alone Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and so on they have purchased/gained some good/great players QPR are looking at loans from the Championship. Still you have nice looking shirt. Good luck with that, lets talk again when we're swapping leagues in May 12. Sorry don't mean to be nasty but get real, if West Ham went down with a crap manager and a team of demotivated players what chance has QPR got when after the first 6 games you may have a few points but also a team of demotivated players and a manager hanging on to his job. Enjoy the demoralising trips to most away games this season. ha ha ha

Reality check for West Ham fans
It will be a hell of a lot more difficult than you think to bounce straight back as Champions, there are a few teams that will be right up there, Having Sam as Manager is no guarantee.

Not sure on this source for noble but for a club that got relegated with a bunch of players paid fortunes at least QPR have got a team moving forward getting added to and there will be signings West Ham will find themselves in full financial crap mid table and any player worth more than twenty quid being sold enjoy the trip to Doncaster this season ha ha ha

Chelsea, admittedly, have an owner that could pull the plug, but I think he's still enjoying himself. He's one of the richest people in the world and hasn't really overspent in the past few seasons. Chelsea have a long term future.

With regards to Brighton, they haven't got the millions to spend that is being reported, nor have Southampton (I think it's just two rival clubs going up and fans/media getting over-excited.

The only club with money to spend are Leicester, who are trying to make a statement by signing everyone who played in the Championship last season. Their finances ought to be the talking point.

Believe me, southampton do. their owners are worth quite a lot and will do whatever it takes to continue with their '5 year plan' for the premier league

All you bristol city fans are deluded, I mean seriously maynard isn't worth 6-8 million What is up with you lot? 'Going to Leicester is a step down', yeah of course it is. And you genuinely beleive you have a better chance of going up than us? It's crazy. Yes we have alot of money and very wealthy owners and we are not afraid to spend in order to reach the premier league, everyone is complaining at how we're 'buying the league', it's just pure jealousy.

Norwich will not get into any auction to sign Nicky Maynard, one we have signed all the forwards we need, and two he is over priced at £4.5m.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Too right, that's what it is. He's not of a quality to help you stay in the Premier League.

I'm a Forest fan and it looks as though our club wont get caught up in a bidding war, Southampton wont pay out millions for him either and Leicester keep having bids rejected.

Bristol City are trying to cash in as much as possible for Maynard here, my view is that £6.5m will see him go to Leicester, but no player in the Championship last season that hasn't gone up to the Premier League with Swansea, Norwich and QPR is worth £6.5m.

Maynard isn't worth the £5m Leicester had rejected for him.

Agreed, Sort of money Bristol City want should get you a good premier league player, not a decent championship striker.

I Hope that Norwich tell Peterboro to get stuffed regarding lowering the price for Cody Mcdonald especially after the chairmen went public about how over priced he was at £550K, or perhaps Norwich should move the goalposts upwards just like they did when we tried to sign CMS.
Why would Cody want to join a team that is heading back to div one end of next season, especially when they sack Ferguson and Daddy then withdraws all the loan players back to Man Utd, like he did when his boy was sacked by Preston.

Haha what a joke bro

if it is true city's stadiums naming rights being worth £400 mil then it is the biggist swindle ever in football and if uafa do nothing they will be as corrupt as fifa {Ed001's Note - it is not just naming rights involved.}

It has already happened so just get over it. City won the FA cup this year because they were the best TEAM in the competition. You will not stop MCFC and your bitterness suggests deep down you know that too.
