Sky Blues linked with loan move for exciting Liverpool forward Ryan Kent. Would be a great addition and another piece to the jigsaw on what's already a team going in the right direction.

1.) 08 Sep 2015 15:55:01
going to pne on a youth loan

2.) 08 Sep 2015 22:20:58
Deal going through with Kent going to Coventry on Wednesday or Thursday on 3 month emergency loan.
Rodgers said to prefer the Sky Blues as he wants Kent to play for a team that will be challenging at the top of their league.
Kent has already spoken with Tony Mowbray and has been sold on the type of play at the Ricoh Arena.
Preston, Swindon and MK Dons all out of the running for Kent.

3.) 09 Sep 2015 10:05:45
@PNE Lad seems like your just waffling rubbish as no deal has been done for him yet why would he go to a team like PNE when he can play for a side who plays proper football unlike Prestons whack it up and hope for the best. The only team that may scupper our chances r Swindon Town as they have a great relationship with LPool and already have numerous LPool youngsters there including Anton Rodgers, Brendan Rodgers lad.

4.) 09 Sep 2015 14:55:14
With us (Swindon) signing a number of players in the transfer deadline window its odds on he's going to Coventry as we now have a number of players in the position Kent would be used in.

5.) 09 Sep 2015 15:35:33
coventry fans ne to understand they are no long a big club and don't even own there own ground .give the chance Kent would pick pne or Swindon Over Coventry

6.) 09 Sep 2015 17:43:06
Yeh that's why he's joined us so do one and regardless whether we have own stadium or not we're certainly a much bigger club than Swindon Town and PNE Kent was given the chance and has chose Coventry Preston never even been in the frame and don't worry we'll give you a wave as we pass you on the way up to the Championship and PNE coming back down.

7.) 09 Sep 2015 18:02:45
Sorry Lad.
I'm a neutral but Kent is going to Coventry.
Having watched Coventry and Preston many times over the last 3 or 4 years, I must agree that Preston play "lump it football". Coventry are playing the sort of football under Mowbray that everybody wants to watch.
Coventry could well be on the rise whereas Preston will have done well to stay in the Championship.
This isn't a dig at Preston but Coventry are still a much bigger club than Preston.
Also (and I know I'm pedantic here) coventry don't own THEIR ground, not there.
I'm just letting people know the info that I hear and Preston are in no way involved in the Kent transfer.
I do believe that he would choose Cov ove PNE though as the style of play suits him much better.

8.) 10 Sep 2015 09:02:15
Mrintheknow you are obviously not in the know! Even IF preston played 'Lump it up football' (which they don't), I would rather that and be in the championship, that play Barcelona type football in league one with the likes of Blackpool.

Adiwilko, don't kid yourself mate. Coventry are, at best, an average league one team going nowhere fast, who just so happen to have a good history. Who doesn't. Football doesn't go off history. Don't feel bad about it but your leage position says everything. You are a league one team. Preston are the bigger club, not massively so, but bigger. Last season's average attendances preston 10,852, Coventry 9,332.

Preston lad, there was never any way he was going to preston. Why would he? After they signed two recognised championship strikers on deadline day, and another 2/3 already on the books, would YOU want to go and sit on the bench? At least going to Coventry he would instantly be the best player at the club.

Just stating facts.

Jamaal lascelles is rumoured to be the defender preston are looking at from Newcastle.

{Ed001's Note - Kent usually plays on the wings, not sure what strikers have to do with his signing, but style of football was a big issue in the decision about where he goes.}

9.) 10 Sep 2015 14:08:38
Kent said in his interview that he had several options but chose Coventry for their style of play. Preston were never in the mix though 3 championship clubs were shunned ( mk Dons, Bolton and Cardiff if rumours are to be believed). Preston Lad. Back in your basket youngun.

10.) 10 Sep 2015 14:11:32
Also, cov entry's attendances are higher than Preston this year, does this mean they are bigger club?

11.) 10 Sep 2015 23:52:17
10852 average attendance is absolutely appalling for a team who were near the top for the entire season. Coventry 9000 or whatever for a team who came a lot lower than they should have. If we were top for all season our attendances would be at least 15,000 maybe even 18,000 at a push.

12.) 13 Sep 2015 21:30:50
Preston lad, everything you say is absolute wrong

06 Aug 2015 10:43:49
Apparently Coventry linked with Nathan Oduwa from Spurs as a long term loan but other bigger clubs interested so probably won't go through but here's hoping as a very good young talented winger forward

1.) 07 Aug 2015 06:25:22
Watched him play against Stevenage for Spurs, very very good player and a well taken goal. Would be a great addition to the squad, but will probably go somewhere else. Pity PUSB !!

01 Sep 2014 18:42:07
Swindon Town signed John Obika from Spurs for undisclosed fee on 2yrs deal speculating Michael Smith is on way out and Coventry City apparently trying to tie deal up now being a Sky Blues fan would be gr8 signing but it's probably nothing PUSB SPSBA

1.) Further to my above post sources from Swindon say Michael Smith is going no where and to be used alongside Obika with Andy Williams as the impact player off the bench oh well

2.) 02 Sep 2014 16:55:09
Coventry put 2&2 together and came up with 5 on this rumour and thought because pulled out fo the game on saturday against them he was leaving and going to them. But the fact is he had broken ribs from the midweek game against Coventry which is why he pulled out. We had a patched up side saturday against Coventry and no doubt with a fully fit side we would have beaten them.
Smith won't be going anywhere not even in the january window as he's only been with a a few months anyway and knows we have a good chance of a play off place this season.

3.) @ misfit u chatting verbal same stuck record if Smith was fit we'd of won blah blah blah but u didn't and didn't deserve to and if anyone did snatch it it should of been us since then our form and misfortunes have hit a new Rock bottom but next game January 12th rescheduled from January 10th live on tv sports so perhaps then Smith will be fit and Swindon will win until then ifs buts and maybes count for nothing in football

Pete22 That's wrong mate you've obviously seen he's had a few days at Ryton training he's now gone back to NAC Breda where Tony Mowbray will make a decision on which will be a free transfer.

Don't know where you've got this rumour from mate but for a start Scunthorpe wouldn't let him go not to a league 1 rival and not the money we'd be offering and I'm an avid Sky Blues supporter and read all forums .. etc etc and I've not seen this printed or put in anything I've come across so I think it may be something you've made up unless you can point me to something I've missed that theory of mine will remain sorry mate.

Sheffield Utd no chance of winning League 1 and at the start everyone knocked Coventrys chances well we've been in top 6 since new season started and now top with Sheffield Utd up next a game we can win as our record is very good at Bramall lane and on the 13th December I think that record will continue pusb.

Just do one Wolves find your own players always trying to poach Coventry players. I honestly think though if we're still in the mix January Adam Armstrong will wanna stay to finish the job or Newcastle will recall too keep his services so either way cannot see Wolves getting him.
