Watford are making plans for the January Transfer Window and have made an offer of approx £6million for Keisuke Honda of AC Milan, as they look for competition for Pereya who has made an impressive start at the club.

Also they are looking to swoop for the Sweidsh youngster Oliver Capper for a fee of about £100k. The youngster who has represented Sweden at youth level if currently plying his trade for Falkenbergs.

Expect to see Paredes, Arlauskis and possibly Kabasele (on loan) depart in January. Apart from that the Pozzo's are very happy with the squad.

Have heard today that Watford are looking to complete a deal for Derek Boateng and expect it to go through by Monday - it is likely to be a loan until the end of the season for the Ghanaian holding midfielder

Watford are also set to renew their interest in 18 year old Oliver Capper of IFK Norrköping - Watford have been linked with the young Swedish attacker for a couple of seasons now and made a bid for him last January but the youngster was unwilling to move as he wanted to complete his education in his homeland - the interest has been renewed by Sannino and expect to see Capper in a Watford shirt by the start of next season, if not by the end of January.

Oliver Caper isn't even part of the IFK Norrkoping squad.

The Derek Boateng saga has been going on for over a week. Although the club are still in talks with him it's a pure guess that he will sign at this moment in time.

2.) Yes Capper is, although he has been part of the development squad for large parts of the season following injury

I wouldn't call the Boateng story a 'saga' to be honest - Watford went in with a bid which was rejected and in the last two days have gone in with another bid, which has since been accepted - the difference is that Watford are offering to pay a higher % of his wages.

A bid to sign permanently or loan?

4.) I can confirm that Watford have bid to take him on loan until the end of the season, again that might not be final and Fulham are open to a permanent deal

5.) 26 Jan 2014 16:27:31
I've just been told that the Capper deal is not going to happen

6.) 26 Jan 2014 16:28:35
So what happened to him going to Evian?

7.) Evian have also made a bid for Boateng although I do not have details on the exact terms

8.) I can't say I'm convinced that the Boateng deal will happen.
I would say its more likely that Diakite from QPR is the most likely out of the two.

9.) 28 Jan 2014 11:21:49
You got that wrong LondonCorrespondant.

10.) Got what wrong Glennp?

11.) 28 Jan 2014 23:07:10
London Correspondant you said Boateng was going to join on Monday and it appears he's not joining Watford at all.
Basically it was rubbish you reported!

12.) No sir, you are incorrect - I stated that we made a bid for the midfielder, which is fact, and that I personally believed the deal would go through - it didn't, as other preferred targets were secured.

13.) I wouldn't say other targets were preferred - more a case of he didn't want to join and was looking at other options. Therefore Watford had to move on to Plan B.

14.) Oh do you know him or his agent personally Glennp?

15.) 25 Feb 2014 12:29:59
Lets just say, judging by what you have written, you are not ITK as much as you claim.
