-Middlesbrough have sent out Carayol on loan to Huddersfield.
-Amorebieta returns on loan from Fulham, with James Husband going the other way on loan.
-Karanka has apparently stated that Adomah will still be a Middlesbrough player come the end of the transfer window.

Apparently Adomah and his agent had a meeting with Neil Bauser and Steve Gibson this afternoon. Adomah has been told to knuckle down and was told his transfer request has been rejected.

Gibson has a lot of experience dealing with sulky players and stated that he runs the club and Karanka runs the team of which he is a vital part.

Boro are still looking at bringing in one more player and are willing to wait until after the transfer windows closes and the loan window reopens as there could be better deals to be had.

The deal for Antonio does not look like it will happen as the player would rather remain in the midlands and Derby are his preferred choice.

Seen a few rumours in the last few hours:
- Middlesbrough have signed Agazzi from Milan on loan subject to international clearance.
- Adomah has handed in a transfer request. I've heard he would prefer a move to QPR.
- Middlesbrough are interested in Almen Abdi from Watford, initially on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
- Boro have also been linked with Yoan Gouffran from Newcastle, along with a a few other clubs.

1.) 28 Aug 2015 07:37:37
Abdi has quality what I've seen of him but I haven't seen enough to say much I'd rather have there strikers
Adomah won't go anywhere
Agassi is already on Teesside
Wouldn't like the Newcastle lad he's gash

2.) 28 Aug 2015 16:52:24
Abdi seems a talent; would add good competition to the squad too. I don't think Adomah will end up going anywhere.

3.) 21 Dec 2015 22:17:02
Why on earth would Abdi consider a move to Boro - he is a strong member of the WFC squad and getting a regular start. By the way - you can keep Fabrinni - wouldn't even make our squad!

25 Aug 2015 08:45:13
Albert Adomah has apparently asked to leave Middlesbrough in search of top flight football. I'm not sure if this happened before or after the Bristol game but I'm sure it played a part in some way. Could another talented winger be on his way to Riverside?

Boro Mac

1.) 25 Aug 2015 09:54:34
If we lose adomah we can forget premier league football his contribution at the end of last year was unbelievable and he's the best attacking player we have not someone who can be replaced easily

2.) 25 Aug 2015 11:45:31
Yep I agree he's fantastic, can't see him going and don't want a replacement for the lads hopefully just rumours.

3.) 25 Aug 2015 12:33:29
Overrated. Did nothing till the last ten games. Runs around quickly but can't cross that well and doesn't score half as much as you like. can't see a premier league club going after him if i'm honest

4.) 25 Aug 2015 12:57:05
I think the goal we conceeded against Derby might have something to do with this. Wildschut and Antonio on the wings maybe? Hopefully Adomah stays but will just have to see.

5.) 25 Aug 2015 16:01:44
Maybe the Emil Larsen rumours are true then

6.) 25 Aug 2015 19:40:21
How anyone can knock Adomah, he's our best player don't care what anyone else says, takes on players, has pace, quality and does more than any other player. Karanka has lost it with Tomlin, Carayol and now Adomah it's like having a Lamborghini but not using them!

7.) 25 Aug 2015 23:06:14
Adomah is easily one of our best players? Only bit of true pace we have! If Karanka let's him go because of a lovers tiff? And if it true that the players were unhappy with all the changes, I have to agree with them!

Watched the Bolton game and then got the news whilst in the North Stand of the line up against Bristol, the fans were not happy and couldn't understand that he played Kalas as centre half and didn't play Kike, Fabrini or Adomah!

In Aitor we trust?????????????????????????

8.) 25 Aug 2015 23:49:03
Maybe Karanka doesn't want to wake the neighbours with the loud exhaust and they are expensive run.

9.) 26 Aug 2015 04:38:54
I just hope karanka stops trying to be the new ranieri and stop tinkering with the squad😡 and some things are not right between the players and karanka as well as we all know that muzzy still hasn't recovered from that naughty step and now it looks like alberts turn! I think karanka needs to stop falling out with our better players like adomah and start putting the right teams out with the right players in their right positions for the job!UTB

10.) 26 Aug 2015 08:37:35
Just goes to show that player power is ruining the game. Years ago if you were dropped you would fight even harder to get your place back. Now, you spit your dummy out and get your agent to talk to other clubs. No one is bigger than the club. Had it from someone in the dressing room on Saturday that adomah was by himself in remonstrating with karanka.

11.) 26 Aug 2015 17:34:41
But he was right does it not show karanka is unapproachable

12.) 26 Aug 2015 19:39:37
Let's be totally fair here guys.
Albert is quick, can go past a player and ain't a bad finisher but his final ball is the one thing lacking from him being a guaranteed starter internationally and the one thing stopping bigger clubs taking a punt on him.
He is replaceable in my opinion and I have it from a decent source that this isn't just about him arguing with Aitor or being dropped for the Bristol game, Boro are very much looking at sorting a deal for Antonio from Forest and uncle Albert ain't too impressed, he knows that if Gibson splashes 5m plus to land him, he ain't going to warm the bench while Albert plays on the right side
Boro can hardly drop Downing for Antonio and Albert knows it. Just like the situation with Tomlin, he realised pretty quickly after seeing Fabbrini and Downing in training that he'd be a squad player from then on.
We'll see if a deal can be done for Antonio but if it can expect to see Albert heading to London to either Qpr or Fulham.

13.) 27 Aug 2015 07:34:26
I'd rather play adomah fabrini Antonio for me that offers a lot more than Downing fabrini Antonio

14.) 27 Aug 2015 07:42:20
Well said boro in Derbyshire. Alberts probably seen Tomlin do the same and wanted a move. Imo AK is the victim in this. A player making demands and thinking he's bigger than the club would have a detrimental effect on all around him. AK has done wonders with this club and it's about time all you plastic part time fans got off the anti manager bus and backed him.
Yes, in Aitor we trust. Utb

15.) 27 Aug 2015 11:54:03
First off antonino isn't our player. Nor is he going to be so give it a rest! Second, adomah isn't that good. there's more to being a footballer than running quickly. there's something more important called an end product which he fails to deliver constantly. Why can't people see this? Downing isn't going to take on players with breathtaking speed but he does know how to deliver a telling ball or an inviting cross so show some respect to the man for gods sake. Only hope when adomah leaves he can take nsue with him. Now he's rubbish.

16.) 27 Aug 2015 13:21:17
We had one good season under him so far this season just about everything he has done we have questioned look at the results were getting look at the team selections are you serious back him I'll back him when we play our strongest 11 all the time we have a stable back 4 and we look like a strong team and we keep our best players adomah has never done anything to my knowledge at any club that's rocked the boat yet karanka seems to fall out with everyone and they end up going and that affects the team time and time again look at higgy voiced and opinion went out the door and isn't that what his job was we all know what team should be playing we also know what bench we should have we all know the formation we want to see and style o play all this is thanks to karanka for sorting mowbrays mess but this season he's not doing it he's putting square pegs in round holes

17.) 27 Aug 2015 14:04:31
Seriously karanka is the best manager we've had in a decade. he's been here a season and a half ffs. don't understand the mentality of our so called fans. We have a squad of footballers. there's no best 11 these days. Its about a squad of players. Every team will chop and change depending on the opposition. Has karanka made mistakes? Yes. Has he picked the wrong players? Yes. Has he put out teams good enough to win the game? Yes. Burton were absolutely battered and Bristol had the luck and resolve to hold on to a lead. Fair play to them in that regard but to lamblast karanka after 6 games in his second full season is idiotic, moronic and just embarrassing. Too many armchair managers and boo boys associated with this club. In karanka WE trust. Utb

18.) 27 Aug 2015 17:32:04
Karanka is without doubt the best manager in the league, he isn't a manager that will put up with chat back and why should he, he's the gaffer. What he says go's.
Player power is rearing it's ugly head again and if Albert has put in a transfer request then farewell, we'll bring in a player who wants to be here and will respect his gaffer. As I said earlier his final ball is average at best which is why he gets half the assists he should get.

19.) 27 Aug 2015 19:38:41
Spot on realist we are now well organised and no neutral would be surprised if we get promoted this season including the bookies. One defeat in six this season and so many people are panicking. Adomah is an ok player poor end product and poor finisher if he can't handle been rested/dropped for not tracking back against derby move him on.

20.) 27 Aug 2015 20:39:30
Honestly, unless a replacement comes in first I can't see Albert leaving. He's a good player on his day but not irreplaceable at all, and there are good options out there eg. Antonio, Pritchard etc. Karanka is the manager for us at the moment, you can't call for his head at this point.

21.) 27 Aug 2015 21:15:34
Good shout Realist. If we all know better than Aitor, why has he got the job and not us??? And FYI smogfather, when we signed him, he put in a transfer request at B.C.F.C, if that's not rocking the boat, what is. Hate boo boys!!

22.) 27 Aug 2015 22:12:53
Realist is being positive for once! I'd be more worried about the effect on the rest of the team if Albert left, not missing his talent, I think he'd be missed and he's a great player but if he is getting too big for his boots what can you do? However Karanka did make a mistake which he hasn't addressed feilding weaker teams against so called 'weaker opposition' lost us 4 points last season and he shouldn't make the same mistake again. I'm by no means saying he is making loads of mistakes and I know he'll do a good job. UTB

23.) 28 Aug 2015 10:27:34
by 4 points I meant against teams who finished in the bottom 3

24.) 28 Aug 2015 11:00:41
Adomah is lighweigh, can't cross, cant score and isn't one of the quickest in the leauge, but i admit the start of the season he has had has been decent, his link up play with Nsue has been impressive and i beleive that Nsue is now our strongest right back, on the other hand, Antonio isn't the answer and wouldn't push Adomah if we had them both in the same team, Sheff Wed fans have said that he was "Nothing overly special" and thst they are surpised at the size of the price tag that has been recently given to him after Premier League and big spending Championship sides have shown intrest. With Yanic i beileve he may well have played his final Boro game and is heading away from teesside after he really wasnt up to the standard of what we aspire to be as a football club, premier league, also i can see Kike leaving and going back to Spain with the 2 new signings and the clear indication that Suiani isn't a right winger, his performance against Bristol wasnt that of someone who is comfortable in that position and scoring 4 goals in 2 cup games up front, all be it against 2 poor sides, still is a good record. I beleive that if we are to win promotion we need another winger along with Downing, Adomah and Fabbrini, because we have 3 good players to play behind the loan striker and that's it, we need someone to push the 3 to play big like Kike has been especially Downing because he is capable of HUGE thing in the Premier League, never mind the Championship. All in all, we need Attackers and we will win the League. 100%

25.) 28 Aug 2015 15:16:53
Sorry to say but if Nsue is our best right back we are in all sorts of trouble.1,rarely overlaps,2not strong in the tackle 3, anonymous in the air,4 naive positionly.very average wide man but not even average right back.fredericks light years ahead of him but obviously upset karanka toward end of last season.

26.) 29 Aug 2015 12:25:04
Finally someone else sees nsues a weak link. Everytime I see him in the lineup I think were going to lose. i'm very optimistic but i'm also honest and don't suffer idiots. I was there before Robson and the millions unlike the majority of the boo boys who think we've a right to the top leagues. We dont. Were a small club with ambition to become a medium club. We also have some of the worst supporters I've ever come across. Its embrassing hearing them wanting karanka sacked.

27.) 29 Aug 2015 18:10:24
Although I see Nsue as a weak defender, he played pretty well today but does make a few defensive errors and his final ball is below average. Also, reach also impressed today so that adds another winger to the attacking 3. Adomah shouldn't leave but if he does he definitely needs replacing as , even though people disagree he is an I,portent player

31 Jul 2015 07:48:47
Bournemouth are apparently close to signing Lee Tomlin from Middlesbrough.

Boro Mac

1.) 31 Jul 2015 13:56:24
where did you hear this and how much is it for

2.) 31 Jul 2015 14:11:35
where did you hear this mate, how much would the deal be worth

3.) 31 Jul 2015 19:17:32
Deal worth 3 mill. I'd snap their hands off for that price. Also boro told to forget about Rhodes deal. Linked with move for both nakhi wells and Aduriz of Bilbao.

4.) 31 Jul 2015 19:48:16
Was on talksport 3 million

5.) 01 Aug 2015 02:23:13
Yeh agree Harry would be a great bit of businesses decent on his day but to inconsistent

6.) 01 Aug 2015 09:59:36
Try a swap deal for one of there players they had a few decent ones

7.) 01 Aug 2015 12:45:12
Yeah, 3 million is a ludicrous offer, would want double that. Norwich City also after the lad.

8.) 01 Aug 2015 17:59:43
Tomlin is on his way but not to Bournemouth, it looks like Leicester City will be his next club.
Middlesbrough need additional funds to push through the deal to finally land Jordan Rhodes and see Tomlin as a replaceable member of their squad now they have Downing and fabbrini.
Rhodes was in Blackburns squad to face wigan today but sources around the player have confirmed talks are still ongoing between Boro and Blackburn to iron out the deal and they expect a deal to be concluded once Middlesbrough trim their squad accordingly, the signing of Fabbrini was the last piece in the jigsaw to allow Tomlin to leave.
A fee of 4m, all upfront has been agreed for the player to leave, this deal should be completed within a week, expect Rhodes to be in by mid August.

9.) 01 Aug 2015 20:53:29
Good deal as Fabbrini looks good and So many different options out wide now, with Muzzy, Albert but disappointed not to see Yanic get a little more game time? How ever! 18 year old Danny Fry looks an absolute quality Center half for the future! No need for money spent in the Back four!

Chat around the stands today was Tomlin left with a bit of frustration that he is not getting the game time he needs and a deal is defo on the cards! 4 mill is a very good price and should be snapped up?

4 mill for Tomlin (if true) 8 mill for Mings imagine what price Gorgeous would be fetch? Thoughts anyone

10.) 01 Aug 2015 21:51:42
Good business if it comes off.

11.) 02 Aug 2015 01:49:49
Just me who thinks fabrini looks a bit of a loose cannon good with the ball don't get me wrong good player but tackles are harsh and he has a temper

12.) 02 Aug 2015 02:24:30
I heard we wanted to keep tomlin but he demanded 25k a week to stay after prem interest so he's now been frozen out and he will be sold for around 3mil as stated above.

13.) 02 Aug 2015 09:31:36
I'm not sure of the exact figures but I had heard something similar regarding Tomlin, his agent has been attempting to persuade Middlesbrough to reevaluate his contract after Premier league interest, the addition of Downing and Fabbrini have made Boro's stance even stronger, proving it is easier to replace him than give in to player power regarding salary. Just to put a few people in the loop here, Fabbrini is here on very good money so I would expect him to play a lot of football for Middlesbrough next season, he hasn't been brought in as backup. I had heard we would play with two strikers but from what has been mapped out on the training ground so far Middlesbrough will adopt a very attack minded midfield, doing away with the two holding midfield players set up in some games, not all.
Going back to Tomlin, the biggest concern and always has been is his inconsistentcy and although Karanka really does Like Tomlin he is running out of chances to cement a place in a hard working midfield set up.
Forshaw will be huge to what we do this season, to dislodge Clayton or leadbitter was his task and it looks like he has adapted his game to do this.
Just another little snippet of info too, Boro have only turned down one concrete offer so far, Man City wanted Adam Reach and figures of 10m were offered twice. So with that being rejected I think it's safe to say (a) we are going for it this season and Reach is a big part of that plan and (b) Muzzy and Yanic don't look like getting much action this season, a possible loan for Yanic is on the cards.

14.) 02 Aug 2015 10:30:06
If the price is right I suppose, but it would be a shame, there's so much competition now, just hope Carayol plays

15.) 02 Aug 2015 16:05:23
Offered 10 million for Reach? I'd have snapped their hand off, Carayol is a lot better than him

16.) 02 Aug 2015 18:05:28
Boro in derbyshire if your info is correct i would of let reach go 10 mill ide snap there hand off he isn't better now than downing and johnson when we sold them

17.) 02 Aug 2015 19:31:17
There has not been any concrete offers for any players yet. The Tomlin sale is agreed in principal, nothing to do with katanka, just a process of balancing the books. As for the reach bit above????? He was one player that was deemed surplus if an offer came in. No offer in as of yet. 10m tho? Come on, not even Man City are that daft.

18.) 02 Aug 2015 21:24:57
Absolute nonsense about reach, yeah he started last season well, but ended it poorly and hasn't done anything pre season, there's no chance man city would offer 5 for him never mind 10

19.) 02 Aug 2015 21:34:43
I'd let reach got for. 10p mixup and a packet of beefy space raiders he's terrible or was back end of last season we still have big problems we need the striker hate to bang on about that point we need someone to play reach' position and we need a cover in goal because no doubt there will be a time when dimis injured

20.) 02 Aug 2015 21:38:49
I agree gents, I like Reach but I'd much rather see Muzzy or Yanic on the left flank.
Karanka is huge on attitude and training performances.
I'm assuming Reach is a good trainer.
Reach started well last season, I think he'll push in this season too but he ain't worth 10m.
But then again is Rhodes worth 14m?? I hope we get Rhodes but the outlay to get him is going to come with incredible pressure, I think it's safe to say most Boro fans will expect 25 goals minimum this season from him. Oh and promotion. Oh and a cup run. Possibly Evenue european football next yr. Haha.

21.) 03 Aug 2015 06:20:22
I was as shocked as anyone regarding Reach. Don't shoot the messenger fella's.

22.) 03 Aug 2015 06:51:46
Boro in Derbyshire couldn't have put it better myself, muzzy was on the pitch for 10 minutes and made an impact with a few runs in. Reach didn't play bad and wildschut was relatively quiet in the small period he played. Carsyol to play next year hopefully. As for Rhodes, big target man gets goals that's what we're paying for, 14m is a transfer record and it'll drop a lot of pressure of him and the team for promotion, let's hope the boro have a good start and push through. To the prem.

23.) 03 Aug 2015 13:22:07
Cant see us getting even half of what you're saying City have offered, as for Rhodes, ill believe it when i see it, happy enough with the additions so far, Stephens, Fabbrini, Stuani etc

24.) 03 Aug 2015 21:15:42
Rhodes 14 million no chance it's too much we should look at other targets

25.) 04 Aug 2015 00:47:34
I agree its a lot of money but its the one thing we lacked last season and if we had someone with the same amount of goals in him as Rhodes we would probably of been promoted

26.) 04 Aug 2015 06:17:03
But you could get 2 players for that amount of money if he comes for 14 then gets injured or something we're up the creek

27.) 04 Aug 2015 06:18:06
14m is to much. wouldn't pay half that. Gestede is a better player and went for 6 in comparison. He doesn't even fit into our system. Move on to other targets. Surely the club have more than one striker target!

28.) 04 Aug 2015 14:22:30
We are apparently targeting crouch michu Gary hooper and Rhodes. This is not my statement

29.) 04 Aug 2015 14:23:56
Rhodes has not hit his prime yet he is only 25 so he could be good in the long run

Not a good statement at all - Leeds finished higher than Fulham last season who completely failed to fulfil their promotion aspirations. It's early days this season but Leeds have started better than Fulham and are unbeaten in the league so far. I think they could be contenders to reach the play offs this season, they have a strong squad; Fulham won't.

I don't think you've summed much up well there smogfather. Leadbitter is a fantastic player for Middlesbrough, he's relatively versatile and plays well in both defence and attack, if you watched the games he played he made some fantastic tackles and finished 2nd top scorer for middlesbrough. He has plenty of experience in both the Premier league and the championship. I think he's a class captain and all round player, i'd have him over Lansbury any day. I would definitely like Carayol to be given a chance. We haven't bought many old players - Downing is 31 but he's arguably our best player. Experienced doesn't mean past it. A little example is Ronaldo who is nearly 31, he is experienced and had one of his best seasons last year. Experienced players like Leadbitter would not be the captain of the league favourites if he was past it.
