Hearts hope to bring christophe berra back as contract with Ipswich is up in summer.

12 Jan 2017 11:37:43
I have heard from close sources that if Ipswich were to sack Mick McCarthy, they would look to attempt to get Danny Higginbotham in as player-manager until the end of the season.

12 Jan 2017 22:53:57
LOL! One of the best and funniest rumours I've seen this season!

06 Jan 2017 15:35:06
Afternoon Ipswich Town fans, I come bringing some news with regards to a couple of players Ipswich are trying to bring in.

First up, Conor Chaplin of Portsmouth. He has come highly recommended via Adam Webster (who came from Portsmouth in the summer) . As I understand it, Ipswich are close to agreeing a £800k (plus add ons) deal for Chaplin, and he could be signed in time for Ipswich's next league game, which is at home to Blackburn on the 14th January.

Secondly, Ipswich are also trying to sign Lloyd Isgrove from SOuthampton on a permanent deal. A fee of around £600k is close to being agreed, although there are several clubs interested in Isgrove, Ipswich are the favourites to land him.

That's all I have for now, when I hear anything else, I will let you folks know!

01 Jan 2017 22:17:46
East Anglian Times reporting Ipswich Town are closing in on Rotherham United striker Danny Ward for a fee around £500k.

I understand fee could rise to £700K depending on appearances etc.

03 Jan 2017 12:28:39
If the Millers sell Ward it shows to their fans that they have no ambition!

28 Aug 2016 22:28:12
hi, a mate of mine is a Ipswich town supporter and he reckons Ipswich are going to spend all of the 3.5 million from murphy sale on one striker, can't see it myself has anyone heard anything?

30 Aug 2016 00:21:13
Juanma Delgado Lloria. Watch this space.

31 Aug 2016 14:59:13
I heard about juanma going to Ipswich aswell. Hearts top scorer last season, fee of around 450k with sell on is what I heard.

01 Sep 2016 07:07:43
I was joking, I'm a hearts fan and I can honestly say that he has the potential, but his lack of effort, pace and his poor attitude held him back. Went to Begium to secure a deal and is now back home in Spain for a year, sorry. Was just having some fun.

03 Aug 2016 07:01:20
Ipswich Town are set to splash the cash on Brighton and Hove Albion winger, Kazenga LuaLua. The pacy left-winger was offered to the Blues after Brightons initial bid for Alex Pritchard. The fee is £3.5m plus add-ons.

03 Aug 2016 09:46:09
Really, £3.5m? I'm no Ipswich or Brighton fan but I would think there is far better for far cheaper than that.
And I thought Ipswich were careful with their spending?
Sorry, can't see this one happening.

THE PRITCHARD DEAL IS off! Hijacked by Norwich after he agreed terms with Brighton.

02 Jul 2016 22:18:41
Ipswich Town are being linked with St. Pauli winger, Ryo Miyaichi. The former Arsenal man's career hasn't really taken off in Germany's 2nd tier and is reportedly looking for a move back to England. A fee of £400,000 is expected for the transfer.

19 Jun 2016 08:06:51
Ipswich Town have reportedly placed a bid for Ferencvaros and Hungary playmaker, Adam Nagy. The 21yr old has greatly impressed scouts at the European Championships. The fee is expected to be in the region of between £700,000 and £1m.

03 Jun 2016 09:27:01
Aston villa, Brighton, Ipswich and Norwich are all preparing a bid for oxford united's kemar roofe. oxford are prepared to listen to offers for in the region of 2 million pounds. this could just be the start of players leaving oxford as there's also interest in callum o'dowda, the Oxford lad is currently with the Republic of Ireland at there training camp ahead of the European championships

25 May 2016 09:02:27
Ipswich Town are set to start there summer business by completing 2 deals before the end of this week.

Adam Webster from Portsmouth is set to sign for £500k + Matt Clarke (who has just spent the season on loan at Portsmouth) .

This will followed by the capture of Adam Reach from Middlesbrough (formerly on loan at Preston) . Town look set to pay £250k +additional causes to get Reach to Portman Road, with a deal all set to be completed.

Will be back with more info as and when I have it.

25 May 2016 09:39:28
It be more than 250k for reach and Preston are front runners for reach.

25 May 2016 10:05:01
As I say, it is £250k +additional clauses, which I believe could total up to £600k. Preston did look the front runners, but Ipswich are all but set to confirm his signing this week, held positive talks over the weekend, which in turn has meant Reach will now sign for Ipswich rather than Preston.

26 May 2016 13:53:57
I'd say reach is worth 1-2 million in today's market can be really good on his day and he's still learning all the time would have him back at Boro as a fringe player.

30 May 2016 16:18:36
Reach is a good player, very energetic, gets up and down the touchline as good as anyone. He just needs to improve his finishing and then he'll be worth that kind of money. Hope he chooses PNE.

19 May 2016 18:38:22
Portsmouth CB Adam Webster is set to Join Championship side Ipswich in a move that will see 19 year old Matt Clarke going the other way plus £200,000 to Portsmouth.
Deal set to be confirmed over the next few days.

21 May 2016 12:24:19
pluss in excess of £500k.

21 May 2016 14:04:22
New info says 500k+.

22 May 2016 11:55:09
Yes the figure has increased to £500k.

23 May 2016 05:18:01
Think you will find its 500.000 plus Clarke.

23 May 2016 07:13:24
Its in the excess of 500,000k not 200,000k.

08 May 2016 17:23:41
Ipswich Town are interested in NEC winger Anthony Limbombe. The former Belgian U19 international has been recommended to Mick McCarthy by former ITFC player, Frans Thijssen. Limbombe can play on both flanks and also off the striker. He would command a fee of between €700,000 and €1.5m.

09 May 2016 12:38:30
Leeds have had 1.2m and 1.5m transfer bids rejected.

22 Jan 2016 15:27:18
Tommy Oar has asked to have his Ipswich contract terminated and the club have agreed. shame as had high hopes for him.

18 Jan 2016 14:56:42
Ipswich Town looking to seal a loan move for Fraizer Campbell until the end of the season, with David McGoldrick likely to be out of action for some time. Campbell is viewed as the firepower the Tractor Boys need as they are currently sat on the edge of the play-offs.

05 Jan 2016 09:38:01
Ipswich, Sheff Wed and Burnley all interested in Brentford's Alan Judge. Wednesday have already had a bid rejected.

30 Dec 2015 02:59:09
Rumours around Oakwell are that ex Premier League goalkeeper Stephen Bywater and former Ipswich striker Paul Taylor are on trial with Barnsley.

03 Aug 2015 11:33:27
Pompey due to sign young Ipswich defender Matt Clarke on loan today he has been training and playing for Pompey during pre-season while Mick McCarthy sorted out cover for him beforeauthorising the loan deal

20 Jul 2015 20:54:22
Pompey in talks with 18 year old Ipswich defender/ midfielder Matt Clarke over a loan deal

23 Jul 2015 10:15:17
Pointless he's no better than what we have already have, he will only be sat on the bench at best.He will be better off staying at ipswich, he can sit on the bench there!

20 Jul 2015 13:17:22
Rodolph Austin going to Ipswich after the Gold Cup already agreed terms.

10 Jul 2015 10:24:06
West Ham have accepted a bid from Middlesbrough, it's looking like 6m in total with the majority upfront.
Their is thought to be no issues with the negotiations so Middlesbrough are likely to have Downing ready to travel to Marbella next week.
Stuani is in talks (early part of talks) and ipswich are looking at wanting James Husband as part of any deal for Darryl Murphy, so this one might prove awkward but listening to what is being said Karanka feels Stuani and Murphy (both big target men) will play together, so as I said over a month ago, Boro are looking to play with two strikers next season.
Again, just rumours gents but from people close enough to be pretty accurate with it.
Oh and Rudolph Austin has been discussed as the midfield addition, not sure how far that has gone but Karanka wants a holding player to replace Whitehead and sees Austin as a proven player to add competition (for me a great player and an absolute athlete).

10 Jul 2015 14:06:14
Hope the Murphy deal does fall through husband probably scores more in the average season

10 Jul 2015 14:49:05
Haha smogfather, I'm a little concerned about Murphy. Not sure he is a guarantee of goals for 4m and I think Husband is a cracking talent to replace Gorgeous as and when needed.
Hopefully Karanka gets it right, I'm glad the gazette have caught up to my original post this morning about Downing being pretty much done.
I colleague in Burnley rang earlier to say they are looking at Rhodes for 8m.
Interesting stuff if it's right, that would be vossen and Rhodes upfront, we might see how they'd have done for us last season had he signed in January.

10 Jul 2015 14:50:50
Note, husband has never scored more goals than Murphy in any season ever !

10 Jul 2015 19:07:00
You can't really say that about murphy he did score more goals than anyone else in the league playing in a average team tbh if he had service of stewy and albert he would probably take the golden boot by Christmas but 4mil is a gamble at 32 yr old

10 Jul 2015 20:53:54
It was a bit of sarcasm about how bad Murphy is

10 Jul 2015 23:19:28
Murphy isn't bad he's certaonly got a goal in him and like I said with the right service could make a huge difference

11 Jul 2015 07:48:58
Look at his record and average it out he's brutal I think someone younger with pace would be so much better

11 Jul 2015 10:59:42
Middlesbrough inquired about a move for Murphy but the club chose not the follow the interest up. The club certainly didn't bid £4.5m for him and I really doubt that they will go back to Ipswich. Karanka/Bausor have talked to several strikers since May in the hope of luring two in within the next few weeks. both from the championship, Spain and Portugal.

12 Jul 2015 07:29:03
Those backing Murphy really need to take a look at the guys career. That's problem with football these days, 1 decent season means you're a legend.

The guy had a good run, if he does it again and then again you say maybe he's fulfilled a slight but of potential but for me 400k would be too much of a risk in my eyes.

And Vossen has gone to Burnley and Rhodes got stretched off yesterday so I don't think the Vossen/Rhodes partnership is a non starter.
