Nottingham Forest hope to sign two strikers by Monday. Algerian international Rafik Djjesour is one who is free and in Nottingham currently discussing terms. Others who have been approached include Gary Hooper, Vydra and Charlie Austin.
Forest are still trying to push through a deal for Wes Morgan to return but Leicester won't sell cheap.
If these signings do go through expect Dexter Blackstock and Matt Derbyshire to leave the club. Derby are interested in Blackstock whilst Doncaster and Huddersfield have shown interest in Derbyshire.

Vydra?? Really!

10 Jul 2013 08:03:42
Wishful thinking.

Can't see any of them coming would be nice but can't see it

Forest will not get any of those strikers linked, apart from the algerian. All would cost a lot and premier league interest. Even if you signed all 4 of them though, you still won't win back the Brian Clough Trophy this year!

10 Jul 2013 08:26:53
No - not really!

Well all this is rubbish because derby aren't after another striker, forest won't land hooper so I still don't know why forest fans keep bangin on about that one

Austin failed medical at Hull so unless you're taking a 3 legged rocking horse then I don't think there will be a deal for him any time soon and then if there is it will be to the premier league to a club who can pay for costly treatment and have plenty of backup. Vydras first choice would be back to Watford on a permanent deal after his successful season there or Udinese might actually want to play him also talk of Werder Bremen being interested but probably your most realistic target. Gary Hooper is wanted by QPR and Norwich but both have had £4 million offers rejected so you'll have to shell out at least £5 or £6 million for him so I doubt that one. Pretty sure Huddersfield won't be after Derbyshire any more after signing 3 strikers already. And Derby have set their aspirations much higher than Blackstock or so their chairman says.

Blackstock, Don't make me laugh. Who needs Blackstock we have Russell

10 Jul 2013 08:54:51
Vydra! Brilliant - you couldn't make it up. Oh, you just did

Vydra. Hilarious. What did Forest say. "we won the European Cup thirty years ago you know. We're a massive club, honest. Hello? Hello?"

10 Jul 2013 10:53:03
If your lot thought Boyd had eye problems why would they go for Austin now everyone knows he's got knee problems, DOH!

He has shoulder problems, not knee problems, get your facts right

Billy Sharp would give us just the boost we need, he was a star for us before and he is still very much loved by the fans - he's has energy, passion and an eye for goal - get some money spent now, i'm sick of looking on tv sport and seeing every other tom dick and harry buying players

Actually he failed his medical due to a knee problem! He did get his facts right!

Hooper /best player in spl
vydra prem interest tottenham7
and Austin got injury even if fit you going to dream on

No you are wrong. repeatedly dislocated his shoulder aka robson. Knee fine.

Simon Ferry will link up with Bristol City on trial. Ferry has just completed a trial spell at Championship new boys Yeovil Town.

09 Jul 2013 22:27:13
Saido Berahino of West Brom will sign for Bristol City on loan. The England U20 striker has enjoyed successful loan spells with Brentford, Northampton and Peterborough.

Good little player, hope this is true!

A loan striker will surly only come in if we shift out one of Baldock or Davies.

Unlucky he won't join posh

09 Jul 2013 22:02:24
AFC Bournemouth are understood to be close to finalising a deal for Mohamed Coulibaly, a relatively-untried striker from Swiss giants Grasshoppers.

At xchurch friendly last night, Mohamed coulibaly in the crowd. Eddie howe must have seen enough of him and potential last week training camp in Switzerland. Simeon Jackson has left the Canadian squad training camp and is on the verge of signing on his arrival in uk. Impressed by afcb last night.

Hes gone to germany

They have singes him on a free

09 Jul 2013 22:04:29
Sources understand AFC Bournemouth are close to reaching agreement with former Gillingham and Norwich striker Simeon Jackson.

10 Jul 2013 10:55:22
Sources are'nt very reliable as Jackson so far has been linked with 27 clubs in the last couple of weeks and nothings come of any of them!

Looks like he's gone to Germany?

Former Norwich and Gillingham striker Simeon Jackson has joined newly-promoted Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig on a two-year deal.

He signed for a german club on a two year contract, they are newly promoted to top flight, cannot remember the name.

09 Jul 2013 21:49:05
Nicky Shorey finished his trial at Brighton on Saturday, collected boots on Sunday now with another club for a week, Brighton made no offer

He's a decent player, however I'm glad Brighton decided not to go through with the bid. He's not what the team are looking for.

On Saturday Brighton gave him another weeks trial so he's still training with us.

10 Jul 2013 11:25:14
Shorey still at Brighton training

Not offered a contract, now trying his luck at millwall

09 Jul 2013 21:47:56
George Bowerman, Josh Rees, Bobby Dale, Joe Anyinsah and Dan O'Donnell trialing for Cheltenham Town at the Evesham pre-season friendly today.

Dale is not a trialist, he is a youth player

10 Jul 2013 10:01:52
Bobbie Dale is a youth team striker at CTFC not a trialist.

09 Jul 2013 21:41:42
taylor refused terms with Rotherham who offered the 200k wanted hibs look to come in with offer of £150,000 which Falkirk will except

Except or accept ha

I don't think many fans wanted him after his spell with Bournemouth, think we need a really proven striker so I'm quit glad about this one

09 Jul 2013 21:37:13
dundee utd set to sign former portsmouth winger/striker nadir ciftci following a successful trial at the club

Has potential as a player just feel there is attitude issues with the kid

Yep, thinks he's better than he is!

09 Jul 2013 21:21:57
David Vaughan set to be loaned out to Blackpool, he rejected 3 other championship clubs due his love for Blackpool, Di Casio has told him he is surplus to requirements

This doesn't quite add up.

David is not returning to Blackpool! He is I am afraid to say too good for the championship! And given the chance will hold his own in the prem for any of the promoted teams! Likely to be palace although it would unsettle his family which I doubt he would again!

If he was surplus to requirements he would be sold and not loaned out

This could happen but it depends if he is willing to drop down a league because he's a prem player

Di Casio should WATCH what he's doing, not CALCULATING which players he needs, it takes TIME for these decisions.

09 Jul 2013 21:20:33
Marlon Pack and Paddy McCourt signing for Peterborough

Peterborough Would not go in for Paddy McCourt

No they are not

Paddy mccourt is not coming to london road but marlon pack will

Marlon Pack won't, Barry Fry said we aren't interested now we have Payne

09 Jul 2013 21:20:12
Liverpool set to buy Eriksen after missing out on henrik mikhatyran ( or however you spell it )

09 Jul 2013 21:17:53
Man united set to make a shock bid for Tom ince, believed to be around 8 million and loan him back out to Blackpool for another season, just like they did with zaha

They'd didn't loan Zaha back to Blackpool :0

? Lol why on earth would they mean zaha to Blackpool!

Zaha isn't even getting loaned back out, blatant lies

Zaha was signed by United in January and loaned back to Palace untill the end of the season.

No but last season they loaned zaha to crystal palace after buying him from them

I think what it means is Ince is going to be loaned back to blackpool just like zaha is with crystal palace I think that's what he meant

Think your getting confused they are not lies but rumours hence the site they are posted on

Who cares what he meant? This is a non starter. Man United aren't interested in Tom Ince.

09 Jul 2013 20:00:01
Bradford have 2 trialists with them at the moment. Jon Paul McGovern and Dimi Konstantapolous (bad spelling)

Bradford, Peterborough and Sheffield United are all interested in Paddy McCourt.

Swindon have signed Pritchard on a season long loan, is he any good?

Bradford won't be paying that level of wages he's on about 500k a year

10 Jul 2013 10:59:01
Pritchards ok just needs a god run in the team but he is lightweight and petite so gets bumped off easily

10 Jul 2013 10:59:45
Posh won't pay anywhere near that.

Pritchard's a very good player, and will show it at swindon. disappointed he didn't return to posh, as I feel he would do great in L1

Come on mcglashen I say 300k

09 Jul 2013 20:37:45
Scott Arfield formally of Falkirk and Huddersfield on trial at Burnley, playing in friendly tonight vs Morcambe.

Yes but he never made an impact was taken off halfway through the second half, so dyche wasnt impressed

As a Huddersfield fan, al give you Burnley fans a balanced few of scotty. he is a a player who shows glimpses of great quality for example is 30 yard screamer against mk dones a few years back, and works incredibly hard. but at times is very rash with the ball at his feet and gives away possession, all in all he showed potential, but never lived upto it at town. I hope he does well for his next club whoever that maybe, a cracking lad who is worth a try.

"Yes but he never made an impact was taken off halfway through the second half, so dyche wasnt impressed"

Absolute rubbish, Scott came off with 2 other players. Dyche has confirmed he is travelling with the Clarets to ROI and will play in Monday's game v Cork City.

He played well last night, Sean Dyche was quite impressed and he's coming along on Burnley's trip to Cork tomorrow with the rest of the squad.

Adel Taarabt to Fulham

Samba Diakite wanted by Crystal Palace

09 Jul 2013 20:24:34
Official Chelsea have signed former Fulham goalkeeper mark schwarzer on a free transfer. This means they will NOT continue trying to sign norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy

Schwarzer is a 1 season stop gap because Chelsea have come to an agreement for Ruddy to be their number 1 next season. He has agreed to stay at Morwich for 1 more year

If this is true then it is amazing news! I just hope John is going to be happy with it>>>

Interesting wouldn't stay ay Fulham unless guaranted first choice then signs for Chelsea who have Pet cech. Good luck anyway and thanks for the great keeping.

Yes they will, watch this space

No way is Ruddy going to Chelsea next year as Courtouis will be playing to take over from Cech

Oh right so Cech is just going to hand over his number 1 spot, joker

The first commentor clearly has no idea how complicated a process transfers are. Chelski can't just say to Ruddy & Norwich that they'll buy him in a year, while also saying to Cech that he's no longer first choice regardless of his performances. Besides, Ruddy isn't going to Chelski, that's final.

I hope he stays but Chelsea still need another keep so they have 3. I'm think schwarzer is like us getting Carlo Nash it's the 3rd back up keeper

09 Jul 2013 19:46:52
Bony has finally signed, will be announced tomorrow

Great signing. May sound greedy but I think we could do with a winger and another striker. Mubarak would be good. I'd love us to go for someone like jese Rodriguez and michy batshuayi

I agree with you mate; we may need another striker as backup; I am quietly confident we will have a good season though. Up the jacks!

09 Jul 2013 19:31:29
Bakary Sako to fulham reportedly a done deal.
Urby emmanuelson also looks likely to join Fulham in the summer along with Darren Bent and Adel Tarabbt.

I believe martin jol confirmed emmanuelson was out of his budget unfortunately.

With benteke on his way out wouldn't be surprised if bent stays at villa.

Urby was back in Milan yesterday training with the club again.

He would of stayed over here he was going to join.

I have a feeling he won't be coming back.

Jol also said the loan deal had no option of a permanent deal as AC milan value him highly

If fulham sign all these players than that is very very good business wit another adittion of huddlestone paker fer or capoue any of them needs to pop up in and amogest them names casue I don't thin enoh is good enough

Not out of budget now

Huddersfield town are set to make a move for Ado Den Haag striker Mike Van Duinen. The 6 foot 4 inch striker has been linked with a move for the striker since the start of the window but know Huddersfield are abroad they will start talks.

As a Town fan, I'd love this to happen. However, didn't a premier league team (Norwich or Swansea?) have a bid of £1.5mil turned down for him. Can't see town paying that after Vaughan. Also, Den Haag is a Dutch club, whereas the Town squad are currently training in Marbella so that'd have no bearing on the matter.

I think its possible he could be at the Training camp is probably what it means.!

Would be interesting to know who the foreign trialist at our Spanish training camp are.

Nice to think we could unearth a top talent from under everyones noses.

Foreign trialists at our training camp? There were NONE!

09 Jul 2013 19:04:40
Michael spillane on trial at cfc. We were interested in him in january, but he signed for Southend.

Such a talented player. Brown should have given him a chance.

Was useless at southend and doubt he could play for a promotion chasing team

Spillane was really poor at Southend, no surprise to see him released. If we are to seriously challenge for promotion next season we need better players than Michael Spillane. Well done Phil Brown, I don't particularly like you but you got this one right!

If cfc sign him he's not going to be worth £1 a year wages

Michael hardly got a chance! He has so much ability

If Chesterfield sign Spillane then they clearly have no ambitions for promotion. That's one less team for us to worry about! UTB

Spillane is the worst footballer I have seen for a decade at southend

09 Jul 2013 19:22:27
Burnley interested in Paddy McCourt, player will be coming for talks and possiby a trial. Available on a free.

Not true mccourt is currently with birmingham on trial

09 Jul 2013 18:40:10
Rovers manager Gary bowyer has revealed he intends to have multiple players go out on season-long loans. These players will include jack o'Connell, John o'sullivan and Paulo Jorge. Robbie cotton and Anton forrester are already close to completing moves to Stockport and Braintree respectively.

Daniel Carrico has confirmed that he will be leaving Reading this summer. He stated that he has difficulty adjusting to England and had issues with "the manager". Not sure whether its about BM or NA

{Ed029's Note - Loan with view to buy agreed with Sevilla. 750k euros fee.

Have to say I'm a little disappointed we didn't get to see much of Daniel as his cameos looked solid. He's obviously not happy in England and the rumors are he fell out with Brian. As Guthrie, Roberts and alf appear to have done before he left

Bit confused on this Carrico saga we buy the sporting Lisbon captain and then he plays twice and we loan him with an option to sell why any one know why were selling him?

Well we buy for 660k and probs loaned for 500k then probs 500k to buy at end of loan, we made money.

He was never injured or short of match practice McDermott just never played him and wasted the chance of another option in midfield. Another poor managerial decision that cost us big.

He was short of match practice

Well we buy for 660k and probs loaned for 500k then probs 500k to buy at end of loan, we made money.

youre forgetting about the wages that he was getting, fair enough he's only been there since january, good player, wasted chance

McDermott should never have signed him, we all remember his spectacularly disastrous debut against west brom. McDermott ruined his career so hopefully a move will sort him out, was never ever going to feature for reading

If he don't wanna be at our club then its best he goes or he'll just effect moral etc. Shame though because the lad is a quality player

09 Jul 2013 18:42:42
Kenwyne jones is now a 5m target for lokomotiv Moscow

Sell him quick!!!!

09 Jul 2013 18:42:32
Wanyama is on his way to Staplewood this evening, to have a medical with Southampton. £12 million plus a 20% sell on fee I am hearing.
FG

He's in Germany right now mate no chance

VW looks a bit fat. Needs to cut down on the fried food!

He is on way back from Germany. 1/6 on to join saints

^he may well be still in Germany however he was named on the team sheet for tonights game & then pulled from it

Who knows, Lennon said he'd play today, but was omitted from the game. Could be flying over maybe

Yeah, you can't travel from Germany to Southampton.

Yeah, Germany is the other side of the world after all

Didn't play at all tonight. Could be true.

Uh huh. Of course he is.

Wanyama would fly in by private jet anyway' so this would be possible if he was driven to another airport.

Just read a report that he is on his way for £12.5 million. Should be anounced wednesday it says. i'm just a bit worried about how many more signings we can afford after already spending 21 mil on two players. Hopefully forren, mayuka can step up this year and punch and jrod can play like we know they can, then we will only need as MoPo said a couple of quality signings hopefully 2 more st/w or quality cam and i'm pretty confident about the rest of the squad. Would love sorenson and banega to sign and that would do us just nicely. Exciting times ahead. Go the saints!

Wanyama has signed personal terms with Southampton, in a Scottish transfer record £12.5m deal. He is expected to arrive at Staplewood on Friday once all the paperwork has been processed with the FA.

I think we need 2-3 more, a creative midfielder is an absolute must - what happened to the interest in Fermino? looks an amazing creative player - Cork & Schneids are amazing, but too defensive, and Llanana (as big a fan I am) looked like he struggled to match his prior seasons performance (im sure he'll flourish this season though), people assume we have 30mil to spend because that's what the PL gave us - but the club has far more money available than that, and i'm sure that's what also caused the `delay` in Cortese's meetings with the Leibrs in the summer.

Money is no issue, marcus leiber left 20 million a year for ten years, tv money of at least 80 million, and probably at lest 40 million left over from last season before we even have to ask the billionaire owners for some cash. yea were pretty loaded

st stuie

^ It was either Ever Banega or wanyama, probs not both. So with VW looking good, means we will probs only sign another winger/attacking midfielder or Striker. Also everyone seems convinced we have £30. On the dot. It was £30 from this years prem, plus NC's rainy day savings, and the money he's coaxed out of the Liebers. Could yet be putting in a big Damio bid it seems

Remember we will be offloading a few too. Sharp is going. DeRidder, Lee, Hooiveld, Chaplow too I'd imagine, maybe even Fonte? Even if just 4 of those go, that's comfortably about 5 mill right there at least.

Do clubs insure players regarding long term injurys

Gunnaer solskjaer said that forren would not make it in the prem league is he still under contract or been released? The club can't keep wasting that sort of money surely ( forgot we are one of the wealthy clubs ) with debt rising

How do you know saints have been left 20 million for the next 10 years, it's said the club is loaned the debt which is paid back like any business. Chelsea and man city owners must have a safe full of iou's .

09 jul 2013 18:35:26
any bristol city transfer news in or out.

Heard a rumour that Simon Ferry, ex-Swindon is on his way to Bristol City.

09 Jul 2013 18:06:22
Peterborough United are set to complete the signings of West Brom forward Saido Berahino and Cheltenham's Jermaine McGlashan.

Na not berahino
west brom are low on strikers they need berahino just to be safe incase anelka gets injured
and I havn't heard anything about Jermaine mcglashan

We won't be short by the time the season kicks off

09 Jul 2013 16:54:15
Barnsley close in on the signing of Andy Johnson! {Ed003's Note - denied by flitcroft}

Would be good signing though

Not a chance mate the money he would want would be to much for us

09 Jul 2013 17:48:40
Tranmere have Burnley left-back Danny Lafferty on trial.

That's funny as he is the first half 11 at morcambe tonight. get your facts right please! UTC

Definately not, he's our 1st choice LB

He is playing for burnley right now.

That's strange because he is playing for Burnley at Morecambe tonight.

LoL No he ain't, he's playing right now against Morecambe For Burnley

Thats funny - he's playing for burnley against morecambe tonight!

No they havent, different player, the real ones playing for burnley tonight

Different Danny Lafferty a right winger certainly not the Northern Ireland international

Something tells me its a different player!

He was playing for tranmere on Monday v camell laird

Think its a Danny Laverty once of Blackburn.

Danny LAVERTY.

He was released by Blackburn Rovers this summer- he's one of their old youth squad!

Its NOT the burnley lad I was at the game he was a winger just a names sake

We have Danny Laverty on trial, different player completely to the one Burnley have

Gary

notts county are once again being linked with gary madine

09 Jul 2013 19:27:10
Madine is one of only two strikers currently on the Owls books. He sees himself as a champ striker but may well be sold. This can only be thought of once the Owls actually buy some new strikers therefore thi s is a non starter

Quadback investments aka munto are to officaly renew interest in huge investment of the struggling league oñe club notts county.

Pretty sure notts aren't getting sold

Notts wouldn't entertain them after last time

09 Jul 2013 17:11:27
Benayoun has been sounded out re: dropping to Championship. WBA and Sunderland also interested. Could happen he is keen to stay in South and have "game time". Reliable Source JP

West Brom have no interest in him at all

Safc not interested

09 Jul 2013 17:01:15
Hull City Manager Steve Bruce is upping his intrest in Oldham striker Jose Baxter after his main target Charlie Austin failed his medical.

Why would he want to go and be one of many, when he could stay us and be the main man.

Would work well alongside George Boyd, skillful and tricky. And would only cost us half if not less of what Austin would of cost!

He isn't a striker

He'd go for the easy money and higher level of play

Do you know why he rejected the Everton deal last summer?. So he could play every week. Jose isn't concerned about the money. Sets a good example to other young players, oh and he's staying at Oldham!

Just read all other oldham rumours, every man and his dog is signing jose baxter apparantly, give us enough money and he's yours, until then, he has 2 years left on his contract and we don't need the money

09 Jul 2013 16:44:54
Joe Ralls will move to Bristol City, initially on loan, from Cardiff City.

Rated very highly by malkey and city fans bristol be getting a very good young player who will benifit from sum playing time

Class act I hope the wurzels treat the lad with respect I rate him as high as I did when Aaron Ramsey was in the Academy I actually think Ralls the left footed version of Ramsey

Sounds like a good loan then

Maybe on loan, but not perminatley, he is a very good young talent

09 Jul 2013 16:38:41
Rumours circulating around Portman Road that ex-Wigan fullback Ronnie Stam is considering a move to Ipswich to act as first choice right back and provide competition for Hewitt. Stam is available on a free and would provide pace and experience which McCarthy is after.

Heard he was off to swansea.

Just a rumour then.!

Only problem is Stam is an awful defender, headless chicken who can't tackle so don't get too excited.

He was linked with Swansea but apparently with Tiendalli and Taylor covering Rangel and Davies Laudrup is now looking for something cheaper and younger. Ipswich could do with Stam though looking at our squad.

Stam is currently in talks with Standard Liege, Ipswich would need to move quick!

09 Jul 2013 16:35:23
Brentford to sign Hogan Ephraim who Rosler is very interested in to replace Harry Forrester after Fillo failed to impress whilst on trial in Germany

Fillo has just signed so this rumour is rubbish

09 Jul 2013 16:33:08
Any interest in Adam Le Fondre or any reading player?
Also Nick powell news?

{Ed029's Note - Hull have enquired about Le Fondre.

Reading will not sell le fondre

No way will alf go

09 Jul 2013 16:33:08
Any interest in Adam Le Fondre or any reading player?
Also Nick powell news?

{Ed029's Note - Hull have enquired about Le Fondre.

Gulp. Now hull have lost out on Austin I hope they don't come back for ALF

Why would ALF leave when Hull will be in The Championship in 2014-15 and Reading will be in the Premier League. ?

Hull aren't interested in Le Fondre. tv have said there after Carlton Cole.

I reckon reading will sell "alf", considering when they were last in the championship he rarely started - and if he did, he didn't score, he only scored from coming on as a sub.

Rubbish, will not sell him. In Championship he was still a relatively new signing and with our game plan it worked for him to be played towards the end of the game. Since we've had him I feel he's done more than enough to be one of the first names on the team sheet.

09 Jul 2013 15:34:21
Huddersfield have bid 400k for Reading's Kaspars Gorkss

No we haven't reading fans, stop linking us to your players. We all know ALF won't be coming so give it rest

It's 500k and its happening

09 Jul 2013 19:01:37
He was absolutely shocking while on loan at the Wolves. He manged to make us an even worse team. {Ed029's Note - McDermott stuck with him for the first few months of last season! He was clearly out of his depth. I expected Leeds interest next season but so far none.

Gorkss would be a good buy MATE

I hope this is true, from what I've seen, Patterson is below average and I think Billy Sharp could really bring something to the team especially when partnered with Vaughan.

09 Jul 2013 15:17:46
Having missed out on Lewin Nyatanga, Gary Johnson will switch his attention to Liam Fontaine of Bristol City. Johnson took Fontaine to Ashton Gate during his tenure as manager.
A fee of £200K could be a stumbling block.

Ok then, we will give yeovil 250k.

Fontaine in full confidence is worth just short of a mil easy when he's on form he's a top end championship player good luck getting him for 200 kd

Your welcome to him.
Why the hell are you so interested in Bristol City Defenders?
We had the worst defence last season?
I just don't get why you want players who can't do the job at that level!
Best of luck!

Seems that Nyatanga didn't quite make it at Yeovil and was not offered a contract. Pleased he's found a club though. Still think there is at least one other defensive option at BC for Gary!

Come on Gary we have offered fontaine a lift.

09 Jul 2013 15:17:11
notts county to sign matt derbyshire and dean parrett. notts county are also in talks with Ricardo fuller

Where has the derbyshire rumour come from and as for fuller we can't afford him I thought he was going preston anyway

09 Jul 2013 14:50:29
hooper to hull now austin has gone for a kness up lo

Hooper wants stupid wages 60,000 to 70,000 a week I have seen

I hope we do go for hooper, but there will be norwich now in the bidding war for him. he's also thought to prefer to join norwich as well

09 Jul 2013 18:32:52
Hooper wants big wages apparently which may rule Hull out. Hull not willing to pay more than 35k pw for anyone which should also stop any ridiculous Bent rumours

Hooper will wait until he sees if Norwich will follow up, his prefered destination according to Scottish media.
Talk of wanting £60K/wk is nonsense.
His current weekly wage at the mighty Celtic is £10K/wk, so there is no way he is demanding that kind of money.

Well we have 9-10 million to spend on a striker

Given his overall budget for strengthening is 10 million and we've spent 6 we would have 4 left for a striker the rest will be free transfers and loan players.

Bruces budget is actually £15 million, according to what the Allams said and looks like 1. 5 may be spent on Palacios, I think we should have about 8 mil to get 2 good strikers. think 5 for Hooper as Celtic are getting desperate, he won't sign new contract. and 3 for another (Le Fondre perhaps as people have mentioned?)

15m included the increase in size of wage budget.

Celtic getting desperate?lol!we would be better off letting his contract run down-maybe you should look out for our financial statement at this years agm!best run club in britain

Egyptian international striker 'Gedo' could return on a permanent deal to Hull City after a medical for Charlie Austin has failed

Hope this true, just watched YouTube clips and looks a good talent!

It's worrying that you've only seen him on YouTube rather than him playing for hull (which I assume is your team)

Championship standard at best rom what we saw of him last season

He's just had surgery that would keep hi out until october and to be fair he didn't exactly set the world alight when he was with us last year. He went right off the boil after 2 months.
I heard we had an option to buy during his loan for £750K. I think if we were going to sign him we would have done then.
I might be wrong though. When fit, he'd be a good sub but then so would Fryatt.

10 Jul 2013 09:23:04
There's a picture on his twitter of him training in a city top, I think we'll have him on loan again!

You have to remember gedo was injured during the last loan spell with us. I think he could cut it in the premier league when he's fit.

Brice Ntambwe has been linked to Yeovil. the youngster (from Belgium) is a hot prospect at birmingham, and Yeovil are looking likely to give him the chance he wants and needs to prove himself.

He left Birmingham for a Belgium club in January and still has one year on his contract with another year option.

Walsall will offer deals to trialist Richard O'Donnell (1yr), Gem Gordon (T&T trialist 2yr) and fellow trinidad star Winchester 1yr

Smith has confirmed he isn't signing any player from t+t, although he will keep tabs on gem gordon but smith feels he isn't league 1 standard and it would be hard to get a work permit for him. Shame really, he was our top scorer in the tour and looked better than grigg by a mile

09 Jul 2013 13:58:55
Colchester will confirm the signings of Sam Walker on a season long loan and Onismor Bhasera on a 2 year deal by the end of this week.

They are also looking to complete a deal for one more striker and i'm led to believe this could be Cody McDonald

McDonald has already gone to Oldham mate LOL

Oldham have signed Charlie McDonald from Orient not Cody. D'oh!

Colchester need a GK, LB, CH and GS. Then I will be confident of a play off place.
With youngsters Ladapo, Wright and Gilbey also pushing for a regular 1st team place.

Up the U's

Can't see Bhasera joining the club as Colchester are looking to get two Premier defenders on loan. After signing Ibehre, Eastmond and Watt there is little money left in the kitty.

Bradford city looking at lyle Taylor after he rejected Rotherham due to personel terms

If Rotherham can't land him then neither can Bradford.

I think we have learnt our lesson with falkirk

Bradford blew Rotherham out of the water (Steve Evans words) for Nathan Doyle last season so don't be so sure

Whos says they cant. He might want to go to the bigger club that's why.

09 Jul 2013 21:52:00
lyle remember where you came from mate simon afcb

Rotherham have made some truly awful signings the preseason so if they wanted him we dont

Lyle Taylor will NOT be joining Bradford. IF he returns to England, he wants to return down South, where he is from.

Sorry Bradford, but his preferred destination is Rotherham but doesn't want to go North of England.

Highly linked to hibernian, will go in with 140k-160k and falkirk will accept this

"Rotherham have made some truly awful signings the preseason so if they wanted him we dont" - couln't agree more with that. I fancied them to do ok this season before Steve Evans started spending money

Rotherham have made some truly awful signings the preseason so if they wanted him we dont. unlikely youve seen milsom brindley or tidser play, worral captained a league 1 side at 22, collins played 100 plus games on bounce in league 1, and hylton top scorer in fa cup last season, and decent ratio, of goals considering the matches played in a very poor team - explain your your claims please.

I don't think anyone can say good or bad signing until they play a ga, e of football together.

City chaiman in the local paper saying we only want 2 more signings, a goalkeeper & a right winger, so this rumour is a load of old pony!

Renee howe on his way to meet up with the Oxford squad in Edinburgh to sign a 2 year deal

He apparently tweeted to say he is flying up to Edinburgh so this may have some legs. Think the Matt Tubbs rumour is now dead and buried and likely down to money. Manager has also indicated he is after a centre back to finish the pre season signings

He did tweet he was going Edinburgh. Some fans think he is linked with Hibernian, however it does bring fresh light to the rumours surrounding him and Oxford. Wilder intent on another CB signing and that is the priority at Oxford, but if wages can be haggled who knows

Rene howe looks like he is joining hibs also been told had med, good luke to him looks agood striker.

He's just tweeted saying he's not joining Hibs. Make of that what you will.

Watford's long term interest in young Swedish star Oliver Capper has ended due to a long term career-threatening injury sustained in a match against Anundsjö IF. For a player blessed with so much potential, it is a shame to see his career go down the drain.
Watford are also close to signing 7 of the Udinese loanees from last season

"Watford are also close to signing 7 of the Udinese loanees from last season"

Do keep up - they've been signed for a while now.

Hold your horses. Abdi ekstrand anya still havnt signed

^nothing has been confirmed yet

Battochio stated that Abdi has signed on his .

Apprantly Watford have bought Mathias Ranegie from Udinese, also could be loaning Matias Campos Toro; who is a Chile International LB/Mid

" Abdi ekstrand anya still havnt signed"

Yes they have. Do what I did - ask them and they'll confirm it.

Don't jump down a guy's throat for correctly pointing out nothing is certain yet. Odemwingie stated he had 'signed' for QPR remember? Until the club announces it, it's not official. We are still subject to the FA embargo, so we have to let them ratify any deal we want to go through. This means the players can sign contracts but not end up being at the club. I share your optimism but until there's a press release from Vicarage Road, it ain't a done deal. (Not OP by the way)

Yes but in my original post I was referring to the official signing of these players - Watford are still waiting on the football league to authorize the deals

Shame to hear about this Capper feller, been linked to him for a long while!

Aw damn, not great news to wake up to about Capper, thought he sounded a great prospect! Hopefully some signings will be announced soon then

Poor lad - all the best Oliver Capper, could have been a Watford legend from what I heard!

What does anyone actually know about this Capper lad? Sounded a great prospect but I haven't actually seen or heard anything about him apart from rumours - someone enlighten me please?

The deal for Matt Tubbs is effectively over (if it was ever in consideration) as Chris Wilders search is now for midfielders and an experienced centre back. , and the newly formed 'yellow army' group will attempt to raise £20,000 to pay for 1 or 2 new players in January.

Shrewsbury have turned there sights on Derby's transfer listed Nathan Tyson after struggling to agree terms for Theo Robinson, Tyson is more realistic for the Town because Derby require less in transfer funds, he demands less wages, he's older and is willing to drop a division for first team football. Turner has confirmed he's in negotiations with clubs and is willing to pay a fee to get a goalscorer

One of derbys top earners wants less. ? Probably not

Tyson is the second. highest earner at Derby as we got him on a free originally

Shrewsbury don't have that sort of money to be able to bring these quality players to the club.

We will have to make do with league 2 journeymen and untried kids.

Nottingham Shrew

For some random reason Shrews fans think first Ben Davies, then Theo and now Tyson is joining them.

It is either a smoke screen and they are buying Will Hughes. or Radio Derby's Colin Bloomfield is trolling this site. He is a massive Shrews fan.

Ince is a cardiff city player will be offically annouced this evening or tomorrow morning

I wouldn't hold your breath. It will be Thursday before he turns you down

Tom Ince came all this way away from pre-season to not sign doesn't make any sense, why wouldn't Ince sign its just some people getting jealous or just don't like us which tbh its both {Ed003's Note - It was arranged that he would meet and talk to Cardiff and make a decision afterwards.}

I agree he's had ages to sign! {Ed003's Note - I know, all of a few hours.}

He's known about it for ages not a few hours he's had time he must've been thinking about when the bid got accepted ages ago more like 10 days

He needs to hurry up and sign. I will be relieved when its announces, hopefully ASAP.

Doncaster are currently odds on favourites to land Billy Sharp. The striker was spotted at Donny's training ground yesterday.

Doncaster chairman John Ryan as stated the club cannot afford him

He's going forest mate all the other rumours are being thrown as a smokescreen

Billy was not at the training ground yesterday because I was there. the more worrying news is that sully has know left the club leaving us with no keeper on the books as maxstead yet to sign a new contract. worrying times we need to sign at least one good keeper my choice would be lee camp.

Do you really think that the club are not aware that we need a quality keeper?
Don't be worried, they will sign be signing someone soon.
I hear that Quinny fancies himself as a keeper should the club decide not to sign anyone.

After bristol city completed the two deals on Monday, SOD will bring in a CM later this week and there will be news about Adomah, Baldock and Davies. Also a Striker or two will be brought in before they play reading at home on the 24th July.

Why would he buy a CM? We've already signed two

Fabian Delph has apparently noticed a tweet from Benteke to Lukaku, mentioning "we will be a force together".

I know it sounds like a he said/she said kind of thing, but I think it casts further doubt on the plight of the situation and confirms what many Villans fear, the lad is off to Chelsea.

I can't be bothered tracking down the actual tweet myself, but just informing what I know of the situation.

One things for sure, Lambert needs to act quickly in regards to finding his midfield target as he won't want to pay a premium to an opposing club who know that Villa have just received a decent sum of cash in.

Leroy

Lukaku and benteke should keep there mouths shut this should. nt be happening its so disrespectful to lambert and villa who have made him the player he is today. From day one these Belgium players have been tapping up benteke while he. s been on international duty its just not right something needs to be done about this sort of thing and I. m not just talking about benteke its happened with many players.

They are both belgian

Could be talking about them playing for Belgium.

Big Swedish Striker Mathias Ranegie in advanced talks with Watford

Good. haven't heard much about Ranegie in recent weeks, glad to hear he is still in the works

09 Jul 2013 12:50:28
Exeter City have signed Sam Parkin after Jefferson Louis turned them down. They are also trialling ex-Newcastle midfielder Brian Pina with Alan Gow set to depart

Jefferson Louis wouldn't even get in Plymouth's squad, that's how poor he is! Parkin will do a job in league 2

I agree Parkin is loads better than Louis!

09 Jul 2013 12:49:38
Huddersfield Town are considering making an offer for transfer listed striker Billy Sharp. Southampton are believed to want around £1 million for the striker.

Don't need him but we do need our money for players behind the forwards whether on loan or buy

I don't think Town will be buying any more strikers. Having signed 3 I can only see us buying a midfield player or centre back.

Rubbish he won't sign for u

I went to wimbledon the other day for the semi-finals, I stood next to him and had a picture with him in the tube station at earls court, On that line is charlton and west ham, could mean anything, but from a town fans view, would love him to come, Him and Vaughan up front!

Hope so but I can't see it, would be nice to have him and vaughan up front

Patterson and Vaughan already n01 strike pairing. Sharp wouldn't settle for bench

So your saying if Sharp signed for town he wouldn't get picked ahead of Patterson? Clueless! Not that he'll sign though.

Agreed, don't NEED him. But why refuse to buy a player that is better than what we have. Any hurt in improving the team?

09 Jul 2013 12:45:48
Now that Gary Johnson has missed out on Lewin Nyatanga rumours are about that he is going for his second choice also a Bristol City player Liam Fontaine as he looks to bolster his defence ahead of Yeovils Championship debut.

Hasn't he gone to Barnsleh?

Not sure if Liam Fontaine has gone anywhere. If not he would be a good choice at Yeovil and probably a 'better fit' with BW. Wages may be the problem but central defence is a key position we must fill with someone with championship experience or huge potential!

Fontaine is class when playing with confidence one bad season though but he can put it behind him

Notts County set to sign a striker today - source Ray Trew (chairman). However he won't disclose who the striker is.

Any information? Danny Haynes's name keeps cropping up.

Barnes-homer

And how did you see ray trew then I bet you we don't sign anyone today and evan if we do it will be some youngster we've not heard about

People are saying they have seen Ricardo fuller go in to the entrance of notts county football ground.

I have heard a rumour its jake cassidy

It is Haynes. Champ clubs rumoured to be after him, but Notts hopeful he will sign for them. Might not happen today though!

Rejected us for another club. the other club will become obious tomorrow

Told you we wouldn't sign anyone.

Ray Trew posted on the Notts County fans messageboard saying we would be signing someone yesterday. Obviously I didn't speak with him face to face.

Plymouth Argyle are interested in VVV Venlo's finnish goalkeeper Niki Maenpaa. Maenpaa wants to leave Holland and wants to pursue career in england.

Why would an international goalkeeper go to league 2

Plymouth have 2 excellent goalkeepers in Cole and McCormick for league two, that's complete rubbish. What's more we'd never be able to afford him, small wage

We have 2 good keepers , so this is a made up story

Plymouth have 2 keepers

A football league club needs 3 goalkeepers. not just 2!

Argyle doesn't have a budget to accomodate for 3 keepers

No they don't?! name a team with 3 top keepers who are going to share 46 games each? they'd go off their form if they knew they we're going to be switched around every 10 games

I'm not saying 3 'top keepers' but every league club has 3 keepers even if the 3rd is a youngster!

Argyle's budget really isn't that small.

09 Jul 2013 11:15:37
norwich are have made two bids for gary hooper and dame n'doye for a fee in the region of 7 million each. leroy fer is also set to sign for 6 m

Please let this be true. if we get these three, one more defender and a goalkeeper then we are looking very strong for next season and it will be a great time to be a fan!

Hooper for 7 mil and in the final year of his contract? Seems a bit steep to me if this is true.

How are norwich going to stump up 20 million?

The 8. 5M paid for VWP was from last seasons budget, so we Norwich have spent the grand total of £2M upfront for Redmond and approx £1M for Garido. The budget for players to bring in is in excess of £30M, without wages, and we have already recouped Holt 2. 5M and Vaughan £1M, so the entire budget for this season is yet to be spent.

So far Norwich's spending amounts to nothing basically. RVW was last seasons budget and sale of holt and Vaughan covers Garrido and Redmond. We have also gained money for wages on the release of all those players

With the television deal we should have a rather nifty 30m to spend

09 Jul 2013 11:14:18
Brentford to sign defender from charlton and Fillo who has been on trial

The defender from Charlton is Matt Taylor, Rosler has been looking for an experienced centre half and a fee is close to being agreed as Powell sees him as surplus to requirements.

Matt Taylor is a free agent, but feel free to give Charlton some money if you feel so inclined

10 Jul 2013 00:41:40
Poss the lb evina.
Left behind from the Spanish training camp.
We've withdrawn his contract extension offer

I doubt Evina would go down a league. He deserves to be playing championship football.

Middlesbrough to make bid for Belgian Jelle Voss of Genk scouts have been scouring Europe for a 20 goal a season striker and he is the one Mowbray has had great reviews about. Also talk of Thorgan Hazard on loan from Chelsea as he was another one to impress scouts during their visit to watch the Jupiler Belgian League. WTS

Looks a good striker with a goal to game ratio of better than 1 in 2 over the last three seasons. Need to move quickly though as he is being looked at by a good few clubs

U mean vossen, who is an international player and a good player. would not com to boro - I wld lov it though.

Nice idea, but proven goalscorer on a long contract + Belgian international - we probably don't have enough Euros.

Unless MFC Have £5mil spare and 30k a week they are wasting their time!

Don't think Boro could afford to buy him, looks a good player

Would be a fantastic signing, just what we need, just thinking thou we may not have the funds

I broke the Thorgan Hazard story, family friend is a boro scout! It is still in pipeline. As for Vossen would simply be fantastic, but he could easily fit into a half decent PL team. Has a release clause for £2 mil, but will no doubt go for more. It would be a dream if he came here. UTB

So what's the info on the vossen speculation, is this a made up story, we definitely need 20 goal season man, CB and right winger 3 quality players to build foundations, those key positions have been a big hole for years.

Would love to see Vossen at the Boro, but could easily go to a PL Club and be the next Michu

Not a chance of this happening too much to pay and wages would be huge, probably going to end up in Germany!

Ed Upson to Leeds

He is going to Brighton

Absolutely no evidence that he's going to Brighton

Think you ment matt upson is going to brighton

Torquay United next strengthening area is in attack with Paul Benson, John Akinde and Matt Manset top of Alan Knill's shopping list. Also Linked is Damien Mozika and Neal trotman.

John Akinde is on trial with Shrewsbury and is playing in today's friendly against TNS.

Add Ben Harding to that list.

bradford city are posed to sign liverpools suso on a season long loan

Never heard so much twaddle in all my life!

I cannot see this happening why do people think that because we did so well last seaon that anyone premiershipl players would come

This is a load if rubbish why would he come to us when he was on the brink of the first team last year at least champ quality

No he is not

Oh do behave

Please have you had to much sun pal I'm a city fan and don't believe that

Suso is one of the brightest young talents in the EPL, i'm a city fan but there's more chance of hell freezing over than him joining us

Must ridiculous rumour on the site. and lots of competition. well done.

Blimey. too much sun and cider for this one to be true,

He has signed for a Spanish club on loan

Huddersfield Town are on the verge of two major signings, one from the Reading and the other from Manchester United, Reading were initially approached as a loan agreement but are wanting a permanent deal, to free up wages (FFP) the transfer fee is of little concern to reading due to the parachute payments. The Manchester United is a loan deal however there are two other clubs involved but it looks like Huddersfield are winning the race. Further discussions will be held on Mark Robbins return next week, in the meantime Nigel Clibbens and Ross Wilson continue to advance disscussions

Would have thought with parachute money wages would not be an issue to reading next season.

Name the reading player then smart alec?

Funny how you mention no names

From Reading probably Simon Church!
Haha

{Ed029's Note - Reading aren't trying to free up wages as part of FFP. If it's Kaspars Gorkss as rumoured, then he is a relatively low earner here in comparison. He wants first-team football and is currently 4th choice.

If true my money is on Sean Morrison and Nick Powell {Ed029's Note - Sean Morrison is in favour and rated highly by Nigel Adkins. It wont be him. You need to look at the fringe players. The Gorkss', Leigertwood's, Cummings'..

Transfer fees are always of concern to any business.

Gorkks isn't major.

Fancy telling us who these players actually are?

Who is the reading player going to Huddersfield

Le fondre and nick Powell? Would be world class but don't see this happening

The last few days Huddersfield fans have really made me laugh.

09 Jul 2013 10:48:34
Jordan rhodes will be moving to Aston villa for a fee of around 10 million. The former huddersfield hit man is keen to work with Paul lambert

In your wildest dreams Villa cannot afford it and he would want to go to a big club.

Heard Swansea were also interested. Would be good to see him given a crack at the Prem

Mark Robins has always stayed on good terms with Ferguson so hopefully that will still count with Moyes

Good buy for Villa. Top striker.

Great news hope so. just after he has pledged his loyalty to b rovers, like he did to us then promptly left, once a judas always a judas Rhodes!

We will not be paying £10m for him!
We'll just play Helenius or Drennan if we sell Benteke.

Who cares, he has got nothing to do with Huddersfield anymore, why not just put up Huddersfield rumours instead!

Wouldnt mind him tbh

Utter rubbish and complete drivel.

Villa about to lose Benteke 6 million & Bent so will have money

This is exactly why England struggle there is no way that Rhodes should be worth 10 million.

Villa can afford him considering they'll get at least £20m for Benteke & £5m for Bent.

09 Jul 2013 16:57:42
good buy if it for around £6 mill

Would be good news for the Terriers, 20% sell on clause, nice little windfall.

09 Jul 2013 17:27:20
great goal scorer, still hast things to work on though. but deserves his crack at the prem, thought he would get it at Blackburn, but they didn't live up to expectation, so deserves a chance with villa, and al tell you something villa fans don't doubt him. if Rhodes has a team around him to create he will score lots and lots of goals, one chance all he needs.

He would want to go to a big club you say? Well everyone was saying that last year and look where he ended up. biggest sideways move I've ever seen, but he profited nicely from it & so did Hudds so good on the lad. Hope he gets his prem move soon though

The sell on fee is 25% on Rhodes not 20%.

09 Jul 2013 10:48:13
steve lomas has told several clubs including palace villa and boro that winger james henry is not for sale at any price also in talks with southampton regardings the deals for chaplow and de prado possibly loan deal also expect several players to be shipped out inc woolford malone and nguessan with charlton still keen on bringing the wide man back to the valley

EVERY player has a price.

N'Guessan back at Charlton? Don't think so! We put in an offer when we came up from League One and your lot decided to cling desperately on to him in case you got a better one from somewhere else. Didn't happen and now you're stuck with him. Good luck!

James Henry is in the last year of his contract at Millwall and is on the radar of several clubs this summer. It will be interesting to see if Millwall can retain one of their prized assets. If the price is right, then?

You have got to grive credit to the palace board they seem to have the Midas touch, buying the club, getting the training ground back, promotion thanks for all you've done.

09 Jul 2013 10:48:12
Wycombe are in talks with Preston over former striker Stuart Beavon, who wishes to move back down South. Preston are reluctant to let the striker move on, but are willing to let Beavon leave on a short term loan with the view to a permanent deal. Fellow league two rivals, Portsmouth & Plymouth are also interested.

Wycombe don't need another striker

Why would preston get rid of their only two strikers that are any good with hume and beavon it wouldn't make any sence

What a load of cods wallop. He's happy at Preston. I spoke to him last week.

09 Jul 2013 13:10:42
not a chance he is happy at deepdale and as stated on the pne websites when we get him a partner to play along side he will bang in the goals

Complete lie 100% not true

Ha ha ha, £500k minimum on the nail!

Absolute rubbish, beavon is a big part of graysons first team plans. no chance he'll move on

Total rubbish this rumour. There is no way Preston will be selling Beavon on the contract he is on. They are in search of a striker to partner with him why would they be selling him. Go elwhere if you want to spread rubbish.

Totally untrue

This rumour is 100% false

I am quite sure that Beavon considers himself better than League 2!

When you make these stories up try and make them more convincing. On one hand you say "PNE are reluctant to let SB go". On the other hand you say "but they will let him go on a short term loan", Apart from that, SB has stated this week, "at his age now he hopes to play in the Championship next season. " So why would he want to go to Div. 2.

Computer says no

Beavon will get 20 goals for pne this season he's far too good for league 2 he could do it in the championship in a lot of peoples opinion.

Sell him. Not good enough and no one has spoken to him that's untrue

Sell him over rated

Preston fans seem to think this is untrue!

Just wait untill Friday when it's announced he's going

Should see PNE fans going crazy

Yes that's right they are bound to make an announcement that a player is leaving the day before a big match.
The only way PNE would sell Beavon is if the offer amounts to their valuation, and at the same time a better striker was certain to sign.

09 Jul 2013 20:54:44
A league 2 club isn't going to spend 250k on a player and PNE aren't going to let him go for more than they paid so this deal is over before it began. Last I heard his family had moved up to preston and he loved it here.

09 Jul 2013 10:44:45
Robbie Blake to sign for Chesterfield Shortly

Why would we wanna sign a 37 year old?

I believe he may come in on trial in the near future. No mention of us signing him YET.

These rumours get more ridiculous every day what rubbish

No news on signing him yet? there's a reason for that we are not

Better not sign a 37 year old that has played 16 games in 3 seasons and release Lester who would have stayed for half his wages. Even cook can't be that stupid!

09 Jul 2013 10:35:19
Brentford are close to agreeing terms with 2 unnamed players who played conference football last year according to a close source at the club

09 Jul 2013 10:32:13
Nick Powell latest one to be on Huddersfields radar, seems MU would favour him to a championship club, instead of premier rivals. Has Mark Robbins still got some clout at Old Trafford?.

Can't see him coming to town to be honest

Seen this in the examiner, fingers crossed!

Why would man united prefer a championship club versus a premier league club, if he cannot get game time at Man U, he is hardly a threat if loaned to another premier club, especially since he would not feature against man united anyway.
Norwich have already enquired about him and I suspect he will be allowed out on loan to them for the season.

More cash in the HTFC coffers if true. Gets a better deal by the day moving Rhodes on (if we ignore the fact that his goals for brfc last year could have left us easy mid-table)

Facts all wrong, he will be staying in the prem on loan not going to the championship.

This is in the examiner also, would be a great addition I think, sign him up!

09 Jul 2013 14:32:40
why not?

09 Jul 2013 16:42:03
on a list of clubs that I would expect to see him at next year - Huddersfield would be about last!

Then you clearly know nothing about Huddersfield's high reputation for developing players. Would be a good place for him to gain more 1st experience

09 Jul 2013 10:31:43
Liverpool are keeping tabs on Leicester wide man Anthony Knockaert. It is thought a fee of around £4m would be enough to secure his services.
Whilst Leicester would prefer not to sell him, they would see it as a big factor in trying to comply with FFP!

Cant see that happening!

09 Jul 2013 09:59:39
Young MLS Striker Jack McInerney to sign for Hull City in the coming days.

Just watched his youtube clips (i know, not much to go on) and he looks pretty handy, gets himself into space really well and is a clinical finisher.
From a marketing point of view, he's young and good looking and would help us shift some glorious black and amber shirts stateside.

At what time?

Bolton wanderers lining up loan bid for Newcastle striker Sammy Ameobi.

Sammi who? Not really an inspiring winger signing is it. We need someone with a bit more experience to push Chungy and Eagles.

Leandro Damiao seems set to sign for Napoli this week in a deal worth around £22 million.

I don't understand, how you can say this, napoli haven't sold Cavani yet! And the agent of damiao has come out and said that one team is interested in the prem and is expect to make a bid, and also said that the team was from the premier league? So how in anyway or at anytime have Napoli been included with an interest apart from a few months back? And yhe newspapers? Southampton have said they want him! And the agent said only one team are really interested? Put 2 and 2 together and guess what napoli don't even come into the running, if he does sign ill be happy to be proved wrong but I don't see it happening

I thought i'd reply again, like I said it isn't happening like the club president said! Today he hasn't had any contact about the player with napoli! So stop with that rumour

09 Jul 2013 14:37:50
Get ready to be proved wrong then.

09 Jul 2013 09:03:34
Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Tottenham are all after Millwalls highly rated 16 year old atacking midfileder Fred Onyedinma.

Onyedinma has recently sign proffesional terms and is currently part of the first team for pre-season.

Just signed a long term deal with Millwall
Next rumour

Got to demand 1million or wots the point of having youth if all the big teams take all the the best talent around the country then get released 2 or 3 years down the line because someone's better and it will wreck young stars protental

It is this kind of rumour which shows the dangers. If we post rumours it makes other clubs aware of any interest if it is true, for our players it unsettles them, there is nothing to stop Fred being involved in a starting 11, if he's good enough he is old enough. I belive his contract was for 3 years.

Can some one tell me how a 16 year old has signed a 3 year deal when you can't sign professionally til 17?

Hes 17 he's jus signed a long term deal

He turned down premiership clubs to sign for millwall. No truth in this rumour what so ever.

Swindon Town.

Darre Ward has failed to agree terms with Brentford, he is now considering a reduced money two year deal with Swindon.

Caddis will be going to Ipswich Town, fee is believed to be 375k.

Rooney has failed to agree a move to either Crawley or Cheltenham, whilst he has been told he can go, Rooney is in no rush.

Adam Rooney is seeking legal advice and is set to take Swindon to court over the contract he signed last season, this could put Swindon back into a transfer embargo, the PFA are now getting involved.

Navaro is wanted by AFC Wimbledon for a 2 year deal on reduced wages

Collins is still on the radar of Wolves and now sheffield Utd are interested, they will need to meet the 500k valuation before a deal can be done.

Miles Storey is interesting Aston Villa and Reading, both of which are prepared to loan him back to town for the season

Byrne is set to sign from Tottenham, signing a 2 year contract

One thing is for sure the revolving door at the CG will be busy next week!

We're not in for Caddis and even if we were all our transfers ahve been on frees

Some of this is clearly lies but there is some truth tere

All these rumours seem fair. Ward probably also wants to do some coaching.

ITFC only signing frees because the amount of quality frees about. We've got money to spend but what's the point with the likes of Berra, Tabb, McGoldrick etc being free!

Caddis for his versatility of wing back or wide midfielder would be a great addition to the town squad. however. until Chopra is gone I don't see this happening.

Byrne has just signed a 2 year deal and Pritchard has signed a season long loan.

I would welcome the signing of Navarro. Very good player and I think I can even overlook his Franchise connections.

Hope we don't sign Navarro after he played for them, don't agree with it

Navarro to Port Vale

Good can you afford to pay him 8k a week?

09 Jul 2013 08:40:45
Charlton are only going to what they got from Liverpool on transfers four targets are:

Luke Moore (Swansea) surprised if he does but would be free
Sam baldock (bristol city) around 750k
Marlon pack (Cheltenham town) about 150k in compensation
Ikechi Anya (Granada) Powell wants a winger with pace on the right wing to add to Callum harriotts on the left. Will require decent transfer fee. Around 450k and that's also if watfords owners want to allow Him to go to another championship club

Iketchi is on the verge of signing a permanent deal with watford, it's currently being ratified by the FL.

Luke Moore is not on the free? Think he has at least 1 more year left

09 Jul 2013 12:11:06
Anya won't go to a Championship club and would cost more than 450k in any case

Sorry Baldock will be £1M at least as City do not have to sell, They will sell if the offers are right but as with Adomah they have shown they will not have a fire sale at Ashton Gate.

Isnt Baldock a west ham player loaned to bristol city?

Not a chance with anya

Bristol City do not need to sell players - there is no way they will sell Baldock for that price

We god 300k so how do you expect to pay for all of those!

Anya won't go to a Championship club? He's going to Watford.

Luke Moore not on a free if you want him you will have to pay good money.

09 Jul 2013 21:48:25
Not sure we would pay for a player with his goals record.
Moore has had more injuries than goals in his career.
Pay good money in a bad bad deal.

10 Jul 2013 09:33:14
anya has signed already.

Luke moore has a year left on his contract and scored goals in the prem, there are a few clubs interested so he will not leave on a free

Baldock is a lazy player so we don't want him, and we shouldn't be prepared to pay an extortionate amount for him anyway. He isn't worth £1mil.

09 Jul 2013 08:32:12
Stevie May of St. Johnstone, who was a prolific goalscorer when on loan at Hamilton Accs last season is on the verge of 250k move to Millwall

09 Jul 2013 08:11:25
Exeter City have offered a trial to former Newcastle and Groningen midfielder Brian Pinas.

Good signing in my opinion. We need someone hard in the midfield

Pinas of Groningen. pull the other one

Doubt he'll sign, way too good for us

Could offer some penetration from the midfield

09 Jul 2013 07:16:58
Yeovil Town are set to sign Liverpool acadamy player Michael Ngoo on a season long loan

Would be a decent signing for yeovil as backup for madden and hayter

I agree but at least one central defender, also cover for left back and, possibly, a holding midfielder are even greater priorities. However, very confident management know needs better than me.

And Moore :) don't forget big Keiffer :D

And Kieffer the queefer.

As a Yeovil fan I don't think that we need any more strikers as we've now got 4 in madden, hayter, hoskins and Moore. As last season we only had 2 strikers for most of the season. Our main priority should be 2 or 3 cbs and a left back, and a back up gk for stech.

We are way short in defence. We need 2 more CB's with decent championship experience. Maybe Fontaine and perhaps a loanee too. I feel we also need a CM to partner Upson. But who. We don't spend any money on players nor wages? Work your Magic Johnson

He has

09 Jul 2013 09:04:45
Burnley to sign kevin davis done deal

Be a great move Just worried as have heard he has a long term fitness issue, and that's why he can't/is not doing pre-season training.

Burnley to sign kevin davis done deal

Passed his medical

Signed 2 year deal at Preston.

Signed a two year deal at PNE! Where ever you get your info from I don't know!

Signed for preston. confirmed.

Funny he's signed for PNE. Phew!

Funny just signed for pne! Thank god lol

Yep signed for Preston Due to Charlie Austin's deal with Hull Falling through. I guess he will have to make do with 1st Div footy. Now Burnley have no need of him.

09 Jul 2013 08:23:08
Just a rumour my friend passed on as he played together in youth team at Celtic with Islam Feruz. He has said that Blackpool FC have been looking at the possibility of taking Islam Feruz on a season loan from Chelsea FC. So thought I would pass it on. AUFC80

Looks possible, wouldn't see any reason why not.

Would really hope it could happen, he scores goals for fun for the u21's and reserves. Strong and quick as well.

09 Jul 2013 05:09:21
West Brom will sign Yevhen Konoplyanka on a 4+1 deal according to the Ukrainian national newspaper Ekspres.

I think this guy will have a massive price tag.

Ukrainian footballer of the year 2010 & 2012

and he was in the UEFA Europa team of the year in 2012.

His goal ratio is 1-4 which is pretty darn good for a midfielder.

I can't see this signing happening anytime soon for us.

Have you seen the clubs that have been linked with this player? And at over 20m Euros. I don't think so somehow.

Especially as United Chelsea Arsenal and Liverpool were looking at him

I hope this is the star signing that jp has been talking about would be a total legend at the Albion

Anelka was our star signing

Konoplyanka can move for £ 10 million
so Fulham have been told by his club,
that certainly puts him beyond Baggies
reach.

09 Jul 2013 01:47:21
Swindon Town will use the money they are owed from the Charlie Austin transfer with an audacious bid to bring back Matt Ritchie from Bournemouth. This has been kicking around for a while and rumoured that the fee is a knockdown 350k plus sell on clause of 25%

Dream on this won't happen with the new lot cutting to the bone

The Austin deal is off failed medical re shoulder problem local swindon press

Won't be getting any sell on from CA. He's failed his medical at Hull RE:Dislocated shoulder 3 x's. You think AFCB will sell Ritchie back to Swindon? This is one of the most stupid rumours I've seen! Get over it. We got Ritchie on the cheap cause you were in Dire Straits. Why would he drop to 3rd tier again? Ridiculous.

Dont think so charlie austin is going nowhere failed his medical.

Don't think they will

Would be ok if there was a transfer in the first place buddie.

Wrong, wrong, wrong! Swindon won't be getting any money from the Austin deal as it isn't happening. Even if it was, cash-strapped Swindon would never be able to buy Matt Ritchie back! Why would AFCB take less than they paid for him? Remember he was apparently worth £15 million when he was at Swindon (value quoted by Di Canio). Never gone to happen - a total joke!

Apart from the fact that the Charlie Austin transfer has broken down and there isn't any money for Swindon Town

Keep dreaming swindle fans keep to your premier league youth rejects on one year contracts

Have you been dreaming PMSL. WE only paid 350k, plus he's now in The Championship, so if anybody wants him it has to be £2m +. Dream on buddy LOL

Dream on he's worth 1 - 2 million

Sadly Charlie will now only be bought on a free move next year. I can't even see Bournemouth paying for him now. What a shame.
Its a major loss for Burnley in funds.

But Bournemouth fans he hasn't played in the championship with you yet. let's see how you go this season little fish in a big pond comes to mind. Before you spout off we have a billionaire owner how are you going to attratchvBIG championship players with a small ground & small fan base when other teams in your league will take more away from home than you have season ticket holders get a grip with reality.

/ / / / /
I think Burnley have its own problems without worrying about Bournemouth being a small fish in a big pond. Burnley have now lost out on a big deal. Money that was depended on for this season. Charlie is no longer your golden boy and League 1 awaits you if your board doesn't spend some cash and its not just me saying it. Its all over the football forums and its Burnley supporters saying it. let's see how this little fish called AFCB does this year because we are moving forward and you are slipping and you know it.

Well we've attracted Ian Harte and Elliot Ward ahead of teams such as Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest and we seem to have beaten of a load of other championship clubs to sign Simeon Jackson, so trying to prize other assets to the club won't be as difficult as you say it is.

Former Norwich striker Simeon Jackson has joined newly-promoted Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig on a two-year deal. The Canada international arrives on a Bosman free transfer following his departure from Carrow Road at the end of last season are you sure afc bournmouth fan. {Ed003's Note - ouch lol}

Everybody knew about Charlie's knee surely? We knew about his knee at Poole Town and we don't even give medicals! Burnley took the gamble on him and they know they did. That's why Swindon didn't put up much of a fight

Swindon didn't put up much of a fight to keep him because of his off field antics, drinking snorting and sleeping with other players wives, alegedly,

09 Jul 2013 01:28:37
McFadden at well, McManus next and a speedster?. We will have a better team than last year. Shame about big higdon. I know his age, but the only fit for him was Motherwell. Hope he makes it in holland but?

09 Jul 2013 01:00:52
Charlton to sign Richard Wood after he impressed in the 5-0 win against Welling.

This looks likely to be fair he had a good half against welling

He must be really good to have impressed at Welling

I doubt if he is signed on the basis of a 45 min run out against a conference side first pre season game and an average performance. May well sign but not based on Welling!

One appearance, for half a game and we are signing him up.
That, I doubt very much.

09 Jul 2013 00:40:37
With Holt leaving Norwich for Wigan, Norwich are to put in a club record bid for Dame N'Doye as they have only 2 recognised strikers.

Sounds good but will we lose him for the Arican Nations?

I'm not sure we can afford the price being mentioned. Look elsewhere.

We can afford 12m easily but I'm not sure he is good value as he isn't proven and his goal 2 game record isn't great

09 Jul 2013 14:06:24
Think the extra cost may be offset by the savings in the amount of lard sandwiches that have had to be provided at Colney now Grunt has gone to Wigan. Wouldn't want to be paying Wigan's pie bill for the next two years.

Rumour has it we are in for Andros Townsend on loan and Chris Smalling

Would be a good signing. Just heard however froma good source that Gary Hooper WANTS to come to Norwich but apparent £4million we have offered isn't enough for Celtic to consider selling. Also heard that Fer is in Norwich today looking around and will probably have a medical within 48 hrs, and that defender Alderweireld is also due in Norwich for a "look around" before making a decision, but wants to see what else is on offer, ie if a bigger club comes in for him!

Smalling would be a great signing for city he would defo give seb basso room for concern

Apparently Norwich are still in talks with Blackburn about striker David Goodwillie. He is seen as the perfect man to head a two pronged attack with Ricky Van Wolfswinkel. Norwich representatives also apparently spotted in Marseilles with the likely target utility defender and French National Team understudy Rod Fanni. Rumours of continued interest in Belgian ace Mark DeMan have been scotched by the club.

09 Jul 2013 00:00:08
Brighton will sign Upson on a 2 year deal. Source his mum, spoke to her today.

Of course

Don't know if I can really believe you unless she speaks publically and she wouldn't be able to tell anyone any way

If it is true when will it be announced? Also new managers are a lot less likely to buy players from an era of a different manager that's the main reason why we haven't bought Zamora yet

Brighton will never sign Zamora unless he comes on a free when he leaves Fulham and can still play to a good level at his age. Also 'you spoke to his mum' haha

Zamora doesn't play for Fulham?

Zamora doesn't play for fulham ha ha

Zamora plays for Q. P. R

Zamora plays for qpr keep up mate

Haha my bad, well maybe that furthers my point. No one cares about him anymore, he hasn't had any playing time and he's 32 years of age.

Exactly more reason to buy him and how does this show that nobody cares about him we all know where he is just you don't

Ok, good for you. Brighton will never sign Zamora back. Ever. He's gone, people need to get over it.

We will eventually he said he wants to end his career at brighton

Told you he would sign! I live 3 doors away from his family, I'm not like most others make up the rumours.

Burnley have agreed a 2 year deal for out of contract David Jones. The Clarets are also looking to close a deal for former player and lifelong Burnley fan Richard Chaplow.

Charlie Austin will be confirmed as a Hull City player on Tuesday after passing his medical. Burnley are close to agreeing fees for Sam Baldock and Nahki Wells to replace Austin and Martin Paterson who left the club a week ago.

I would be happy if those 4 joined

Not official but austin deal could be off, shoulder injury making the problem if that's the case hull are back to square one not a happy tiger fan

Austin deal is said to have fallen through after he failed a medical because of a previous shoulder injury.

Burnley have agreed a 2 year deal for out of contract David Jones. The Clarets are also looking to close a deal for former player and lifelong Burnley fan Richard Chaplow.
Come on burnley

austins move has broken down source bbc

09 Jul 2013 08:30:18
Apart from Charlie Austin deal is dead as he hasn't passed his medical!

Hull fan here This austin situation is crazy negotiate all that time for a player then pull out of the deal last min so what if he's got a shoulder problem hasn't stopped him scoring bloody goals has it unreal going to start season with no new firepower bet ye

Austen deal dead. How sad is that for all concerned. obviously good for burnley. Can't believe it in this day and age with all the medical know how! Why didn't we do our research! I suppose it is a blessing in disguise, what with the Bullard fiasco!

Austin move OFF. failed medical

Don't think so my friend. Just come up on tv that he failed his medical. Some serious negotiations to take place now for this deal to happen

Heard going for billy sharp

And the deal is off. Should have gone for altidore when we had the chance.

It's now official, he failed the medical.

You don't pay £4.5m for a player who fails a medical, we tried that before and it didn't end well.

It can't be all good for burnley, it could put a lot of teams off unless a low price deal is done can't see anyone risking 4.5 million, such a shame

YES I am so glad austin move to hull is off!

It wasn't his shoulder, he's failed the medical due to a problem with his knee.

Steve bruce said on radio Humberside it was something to do with his knee

Austin failed medical because of a knee problem showing up on a scan during his medical at hull. UTC NNN

Burnley may now reply to AFC Bournemouth.

"Burnley may now reply to AFC Bournemouth. "

Tell Eddie to go and do one.

08 Jul 2013 23:37:38
Ipswich are close to compleating signing of Tyrone Barnett from posh. the deal would see chopras contract paid up and see the striker moving to London road in a swap deal simular to the one that seen jet move to bristol. Barnett is a typical McCarthy player quick and powerful with an eye for goal

No truth in Barnett, itfc had him on loan, that's the only link. Not worth £1 mill.

Oubt this is true because Chopra isn't a player that Posh would be after

No way in a million years posh would take Chopra

I agree for powerful and has an eye for goal but he has not got pace

Posh aren't going to swap a good player for a poor one are they?

Good player? It would be swapping a poor striker for a poor striker

Barnett 250k

08 Jul 2013 23:13:59
Leeds have official bid for Rowe at Peterborough and Tyrone Barnett looks to be heading to either Blackpool, Millwall and Ipswich are also interested.

Think you will find there has been no bid from Leeds for Rowe confirmed by both Barry Fry and the Posh chairman

No Rowe bid but Barnett looks Millwall bound

I think if you look at the local press Peterborough not Barry fry. they think he may be leaving, But don't say Leeds.

Adam le fondre to be confirmed as a leeds player by end of week

The local press is saying exactly what Fry said. Which is that posh have no need to sell Rowe now Gayle's gone, and they're willing to keep him then let him go on a free next summer

All that Barry Fry said was that Leeds couldn't afford Rowe, but how does he know how much they have, a few weeks later they spent a million out of the blue on a single player

I really do think this was a case of Barry Fry jumping all over an enquiry from BMD and touting Rowe out. As soon as an interest was shown, it was a case of "you can't afford him", which is why the Murphy signings was better, as other bids had been accepted and we snuck in to steal.

I really do think the next signing will be someone we don't expect, a nippy loanee from Arsenal or a up and coming yourngster. Either way I ain't fussed, in BMD I trust. MOT

Rowe he will leave but when I say January 2014 for £2million

January 2014 for £2m, do you know how the transfer system works? They would take £1m-£1.5m now so why would they want £2m in january when he can sign a pre contract for free?

Reading aren't selling le fondre, would be a good signing but they don't need to sell him #lufc
