LFC rumours. Crouch will go nowhere unless we sign a striker ie David Villa (20+ million) but even then Rafa needs a target man so why sell crouch, Owen won't be back at anfiels he's a crock, and deserves to say with the also-rans Toon army. Mascherano has signed, just waiting on fifa to pull there finger out. Neill will sign for the Reds, but thio could be a smokescreen so we sign young from watford he much younger and the return on ivestmemnt would be greater. In the summer expect a bid for Simao or alves again. Outgoing will obviously be Zenden(thank god), Fowler, Crouch, Palleta (loan). Risse depending on performance this season.

PLYMOUTH ARGYLE transfer news. Ian Holloway has been busy negotiating deals to bring players to Home Park and push for a top 10 finish, maybe even sneak a play-off spot. Players will also be moving on to help finance the deals. These are the current negotiations.

I've read in alot of papers that NUFC will sign barton because of the possibility of emre moving back to serie A or the bundesliga. we will sign him for about £8million. darren bent won't leave Charlton for a bid less than £11million. Lucas neill is a strong possibility but there's more of a chance he will move to Liverpool for £5million+. SWP will move to the Toon in 2007.given will NOT move to Arsenal in the summer.bale and barnes are targets for a combined £10million. peter crouch will stay at Liverpool and upson will stay at birmingham until summer. cassano possible but unlikly to be sold for less than £10million
Hey folks. This is the first time I've posted here, as I've never had any news to share, or the brass neck to register my opinion as fact like so many others. Just received a txt from my bro (a Celt season ticket holder) who attends the games with a guy who works there. Apparently, he has just seen Thompson and Brown (Hibs) go in for a private medical. Bigger than that though, is that he has also seen BAROS at the club, set to sign. Makes a change from Villa draining our resources. Hopefully this is true, but if not, don't shoot the messenger! Up the 'Tic!

and the surprise bid for Fulham's Liam Rosenior for Right-Back cover. strikers will be considered in the summer due to Henrik Larson's extension, he will then be replaced with fellow Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovich the new No.10 at the Theatre of Dreams.
Rumours have again come up about the possibility of Adriano joining Newcastle after a deal previously failed to happen. This time though, it involves a swap deal with Owen and looks to agreed in the summer. As for January, Darren Bent will sign a 4 year deal, Wright-Philips will join (prefering a move to a fan base that will adore him after talking to Duff, rather than West ham or Villa) although unsure if it will be a perminant deal to start with, along with Anton Ferdinand, Lucas Neill, and a LB (unsure who as a deal for Bale is unlikely to happen). Total spending will be around the £20m mark, which raises the question of. "where the money is coming from?" and increases the likelyhood of SWP arriving on a loan basis only.

The blades should now look to Greg Halford of colchester at around 2 million plus Chris Lucketti if all things go well the deal should be done before the end of the week. the striker situation seems no longer a problem with David Nugent wanting a move to Sheffield as the Number 1 striker (which other clubs cannot garantee)3 million Cash up front followed by futher payments if they stay up could raise the deal to 4.25 million.Luton Shelton or Ray Jones could be a cheaper better option
But the problem midfield still remains Koumas fits the bill but my money is on a move to try and bring Andy Ried from Charlton he was not happy at Tottenham and he aren't happy down there he wants to move back up north. Paddy Kenny and the Quinn Brothers could make him welcome ! !
Within the space of a week, the Arsenal striking dilemma has ended. Anthony Stokes has joined Sunderland, Arturo Lupoli has confirmed he is leaving permanently when his contract expires in the summer and Jeremie Aliadiere will be sold before the January transfer window shuts. The departure of the trio means that on loan Birmingham striker Nicklas Bendtner will return to the Emirates next season and stake a claim for a first team spot at Arsenal, challenging Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor. Real Madrid will surprisingly recall Julio Baptista once his year long loan at Arsenal ends, while Jose Antonio Reyes will make a permanent return to La Liga due to him wanting a return home. Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Deportivo will all try to lure him away from Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger set to demand £11m for the Spaniard.

Sebo is going nowhere before the end of the season, he can't Austria Vienna were the only club he could go too and they can't match the terms he's on at the Gers.
Rangers WILL resign Steven Thompson and also Robert Snodgrass and this WILL be the first choice partnership for the rest of the season.
Rangers will also sign Portugese midfeilder Julio for £1.7million, the deal was almost done by PLG and will still go through.
Sheffield set for big big signing
Sheffield United are after the massive Stijn Stijnen. (the current Belgian international keeper)he wants to prove his worth in the premiership 1 million looks a snip for the big guy and age 25 he got plenty to offer.
There is a lot of rubbish about the Scottish teams being posted on here. Ljundberg, Smith, Beckham to Rangers? Tymoschyuk, Gera, Hoskins (who has already signed for Watford) to Celtic. Doubt it. Strachan has already said he won't be spending big on a striker so Celtic should be expecting Thomson and maybe Brown, though this seems in the balance, and maybe a centre back to replace Balde. If Maloney goes they will replace him. If Smith comes to Rangers expect to see some good Scots follow him. Anderson (Aberdeen), Whittaker (Hibs) or Neilson (Hearts), maybe Brown (Hibs) and a swap deal with Ferguson and McFadden seems plausible but both teams will need to sell to buy.
Heard a rumour that Celtic had put an undisclosed offer for Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson, this offer included cash plus David marshall. Not 100% sure but it did come from a reliable source.
Birmingham are set to offer £2.2 million for Rowan Vine from Luton town whilst West Brom are set to offer £3 million for both Vine and Leon Barnett. Sunderland and Norwich are also interested in Vine.

Liverpool will sign Shaun Wright-Phillips in the Summer after he rejected a move to West Ham. It is believed £10.2m has been put aside for the signing which is already in place after Chelsea agreed on the sale. Rafa Benitez has been tracking the player since he first started at Liverpool but was always put off by the price tag. Since he has been made available Benitez acted quickly with a £8.5m bid but that bid was rejected. The reason Shaun decided against a move to West Ham was because he knew of the offer from Liverpool and was waiting for any developments. This came on Saturday evening when Liverpool increased their offer to £9.6m then to £10.2m after Chelsea asked them to meet thir asking price. Shaun will continue to play for Chelsea until the end of the season. Also, Liverpool have made bids for Lucas Neill, Javier Mascherano and Jamie McCarthy to sign within the January transfer window. Wenger may yet sign one player for Arsenal this month, however guaranteed they will be a.)cheap, b.)untested, c.)english. The real activity comes in the summer: the crucial issue is the keeper slot at the club: Lehmann may leave as soon as the end of the season: I say this with certaren'ty that Wenger will get one of three targets: Buffon(Vieira deal;first option), Weidenfeller(Dortmund keeper, experienced), Given(consistently strong Premiership performer). For all of those saying that Arsenal will sign these youngsters instead: Gordon, Pele etc., remember that Wenger, quite rightly so, goes for trusted experience in the keeper position- Lehmann joined whilst over 30 yrs old. Other summer activity will include bids for Davies at West Brom, Ribery at Marseille(if he hasn't already gone to Madrid) and possibly Reo-Coker(if he, too, hasn't switched clubs). Of course, no strikers are needed.
Newcastle will sign no one in the Jan transfer window - Belgravia group to make a bid for them at the end of Jan and don't want additional debts to cover. I work on the stock exchange - anyone who wants to put a tenner on it e-mail me.
To the guy that said Newcastle will swap crouch for owen, you are completely wrong. We will sign bent not sure of price, neill, bale on loan, cassano on loan and swp for 9.8m.
Chelsea are looking to bring in a right back and a centre back during the window as morinho has lost faith in ferrira, boularouz, geremi. I have heard that thery will sign either jonathon Zebina on loan from juventus and Olaf Mellberg possibly involving in a swap deal with SWP.

Would people please stop posting rumours regarding Barry Ferguson leaving Rangers. LE Guen has left the club and this destroys any chance of the former skipper leaving Ibrox. Rangers have already signed alan gow on a pre-contract(This will be made official some time in the near future) and have contacted hearts regarding Robbie Nielsen and Paul Hartley. Hartley is waiting to see if Celtic submit an offer, but do not rule out a move to Ibrox as it was Walter Smith who gave him his Scotland debut. THe likelihood of Brown and Thomson both arriving at Ibrox is unlikely as Rangers do not have the funds to submit an offer for the two players and the three players listed previously. Thomson is likely to move to Celtic, and Brown is undecided (Although he is a Rangers fan, the fact that he did not get along with Ian Murray while the latter was Hibs could prove to be a stumbling block, and the strong Hibs contingent at Celtic-Caldwell, Riordan possibly Thomson and perhaps Gary O'connor- could tempt the player to Parkhead).
Rangers may surprise a number of people by moving for Matt Taylor of Portsmouth but it is not known how keen the player would be on moving to the club, although the prospect of regular european football may prove to be a key factor. In order to secure Taylor however, Rangers would have to offer at least £6m.
Celtic have submitted an offer worth around £2m( subject to add-ons) for O'connor of Lokomotiv Moscow, £4.5m+David Marshall for the hibs pair of Brown and Thomson(£3m for Brown and £1.5m+Marshall for Thomson), and have also bid for Fabianski of Legia Warsaw(The bid is believed to be around £1m) as cover for Boruc.

I was told in the summer that Newcastle recieved the first refusal on j.zebina from juventus when we sold boumsong. he was close to signing for us before we did the deal for martins, there simply wasnt any money left to sign him. a move could be possible this window, I would much prefer if Newcastle tried to sign w.brown of manu, a quality player, Nugent should be our first target, he is exactly what we need, and he is a good price, just like D.Bent was a couple of seasons ago when we had the chance to sign him.
this might sound funny to many, but during the summer Newcastle were close to completing a deal to sign j.cole from Chelsea, whether it was a loan or a perminant deal, I don't know, but it came from a reliable source that told me about Butts move to birmingham on loan last season, he knew Butts current GP

Believe it or not, Barry Ferguson is top of MON's hitlist, as he wishes to bring him to Villa and play his preferred 3-5-2 with McCann Ferguson and Petrov the central midfielders. He will arrive for around £5million. Baros will leave for Spain and will bring in around £7million, which MON will use to fund the SWP deal, and don't be shocked if a certain Mr Crouch ends up back at Villa this January.
