York City will decide next week whether to sign Ashley Eastham or an unnamed ex Middlesborough centre half

08 May 2013 23:01:31
Millwall will appoint sean dyche as their new manager, with owen coyle making a shock return to burnley. Watch this space.

Sean Dyche will only return to Millwall if there is no compensation involved.

Hope so

Even the way Coyle left I would welcome him back!Any day over Dyche UTC

09 May 2013 10:06:14
Trippier to Hull for £2.5 million

09 May 2013 10:53:48
i really do hope that dyche goes trippier goes cause no what people say burnley are a selling club good player and owen coyle comes back very good manager what burnley needs at the moment stability

Obvious Dyche isn't happy at Burnley. They don't have any money to invest in players so he's working on what he's got. The Milwall job would be a good move for him. can't see Coyle going back for exactly the same reasons.

Michael Appleton is Free and he only needs the Burnley job for a full house of North west Clubs

Looks like accy Stanley will have bigger gates this season

Not true. Dyche may go to millwall but coyle back to the clarets, you are having a laugh, coyle to wigan is a poss.

No way will owen coyle go back to burnley. not after the way the fans treat him at the bolton home game, not only that but burnley have no money. dyche has had to cut the wage bill even more this comming season. trippier will go I agree, shame really he is a good player,

Dyche going would be a blessing. some of the most boring football I've ever experienced at the turf. coyle left cause we had no money and now have even less so that ain't going to happen. austin, mccann, paterson and trippier look like they're heading for the exit door but to be honest big changes have been needed for a while at burnley. need that hunger back from young attacking players with a hungry manager. But AFCB fans please get real, Charlie Austin is not going to be at your club next year when newcastle and everton scouts have been to watch him at burnley already. the champ is a hard league and you're all deluded if you think russian money is guaranteed success- look at leicester.

08 May 2013 22:59:03
Steve Evans has decided which players have a future at Rotherham and which don't. All of the players who are surplus to requirements have clubs already battling to sign them.
OUTS:
Nicky Hunt - Accrington
Lionel Ainsworth - Oxford and Plymouth
Kayode Odejayi - Chesterfield and Cheltenham
Danny Schoefield - Plymouth
Kieran Agard - Bradford and Notts County

09 May 2013 10:50:28
No way are chesterfield in for Kayode Odejayi. Doesn't fit the young & hungry (he doesn't look like he's ever been hungry) profile laid out by Cook.

Agard is going nowhere! He's been absolutely quality all season when needed, popping up with important goals too! UTM

Hows Agard been quality, he had a little good spell towards then end but Odejayi and Agard together scored less goals than Nardiello did alone.
They both need moving on and two new strikers coming in, don't forget we have a wage cap too.

08 May 2013 22:40:00
Ipswich are lining up a swoop for Bradford youngster Nakhi Wells. Another player McCarthy is after is young Crewe skipper Luke Murphy.

If Murphy moves it will be to a Premier club.

Murphys to good for the championship! he will go united or stoke

You have made his decision easy united or long ball city

10 May 2013 01:05:23
luke murphy to link up with Ashley westwood at villa. Also time for nick powell to go out on loan no good for a young lad like him sitting on the bench, Villa again a possibility as at least they try to play decent football.

08 May 2013 22:37:07
SWFC to make surprised bid for wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake. after the club got relegated.

Why bid? he's out of contract plus he maybe out for ages after breaking leg, i'd wait till he's proved his fitness first

08 May 2013 22:21:08
Shelton Martis is to join league one side Walsall following his release from Doncaster on a two year deal

This is because Dean Holden has turned down his contract offer at the midlands side

Source the star newspaper journalist

Not a bad player he will be good for Walsall just not good enough for championship anymore

Quality defender on his day BUT!! he is never fit

Sick note defender

08 May 2013 22:15:06
Notts County are targeting Aaron McLean even though he still has a year left on his contract at Hull city. Kiwomya will start discussions with him and Matt Green from mansfield within the next few weeks

09 May 2013 05:50:02
McLean is being spoken to, Matt Green has agreed a deal with Birmingham already.

08 May 2013 22:10:47
Colchester are looking at signing Scott Wagstaff with George Porter returning to Burnley they are looking for a man with flair he would be able to sign on a free as he today released by Charlton but the U's will have to fight off competition from Leyton Orient as they released Jimmy Smith and Wagstaff has previously loaned to them before and they liked the look of him. Strong source inside CUFC

He was poor on loan at Orient hope he does better for Colchester.

09 May 2013 07:52:46
To be fair although he was poor he was played out of position the whole time.

09 May 2013 08:46:11
He was poor at the o's because he never wanted to leave Charlton, he's a good lad, one that has done a lot of work in the community. He'll be an asset to any team in league one and once he has found his feet again the Championship. Most at Charlton love him to bits and wish him well.

Any who gets Waggy will be lucky to have him. I miss him already.

Waggy is great hard working young player. In my opinion every time he played for us (CAFC) this season he has done the job, gutted to see him go.

08 May 2013 22:07:52
Defender Dean Holden is set to rejoin former club Oldham Athletic on free. They are also hoping to bring striker Calvin Zola back.

08 May 2013 22:07:20
Walsall winger Jamie Paterson is to join Sheffield united for £375,000 (on express and star website)

As part of this deal goalkeeper Mark Howard will be moving in the opposite direction signing a permanent deal at the Banks's stadium

United are reluctant to pay more for Paterson and will try to offer players to get his signature

Source Express and star journalist

He won't go to Sheffield united. There are better keepers out there than howard

They is loads of stories about in the papers so must have some truth in it

08 May 2013 22:00:12
Cheltenham Town are set to reignite their interest in Zimbabwean striker Kheli Dube as they search for a prolific goalscorer. Dube has been strongly linked to Cheltenham in the past.

Not this one again! yawn! MY has said in the past he's never heard of this player so why would he go for someone he hasn't heard of let alone seen play before!

08 May 2013 21:55:29
Colchester will sign Craig Eastmond & Sanchez Watt by the beginning of next week.

Sam Walker will return on a Season-Long loan from Chelsea. George Porter will sign after Burnley have agreed to cancel his contract.

Jabo Ibehre is attracting interest but is likely to stay with the Essex outfit

Colchester also looking at Luke James of Hartlepool

Yes please. Doubt we have the budget for them all though.

08 May 2013 21:54:08
Norwich to stay up and short-listed targets include:

Wolfswinkel (already signed)
Hooper - Celtic
Redmond - Birmingham
Capel - Sporting CP
Van Ginkel - Vitesse

(Attacking targets)

Yes you have the right idea. hope all these happen

Yes. One is in the bag.

The rest will not happen, sorry.

All realistic in themselves, but I think it might be asking a bit too much to sign them all (not that you said we would). Hooper will almost certainly happen, we wouldn't have been pursuing him so strongly if he wasnt interested in the move.
Redmond has worked with Houghton, did very well and is likely to be cheap.
Capel I know little about other than his good onfield relationship with RVW, so could happen due to Sporting's money problems.
It has been reported we have sent scouts to watch Ginkel, but I know absolutely nothing about him so couldn't comment.

I would hazard a guess that we will sign Hooper and then one of Redmond or Capel.

All very realistic signings. I think if you add a CB, LB and a CDM to that list that will be all the summer signings we will need.

CB - Gary Caldwell, Mike Williamson, Curtis Davies

LB - Jetro Willems, Stefan Radu

CDM - Lars Bender, Etienne Capoue, Steven Defour

CanaryTom

Gary Caldwell? He's a bookings generator and slow as. Also a horrible person, I used to be his neighbour.

"CDM - Lars Bender, Etienne Capoue, Steven Defour"

Wow! That's slightly optimistic! Capoue is interesting Arsenal for about £10M. Bender will cost near that and Defour will be about the same. Highly doubtful I'd say!

Jetro Willems and Lars Bender? Although I would love them to come to Carrow Road, I doubt either would consider moving here.

08 May 2013 21:53:25
Ipswich's potential keeper signings. Two keepers out of the list are needed as Loach is only keeper at the moment.

1) Cammy Bell (Kilmarnock)
2) Kieron Westwood (Sunderland)
3) Stephen Henderson (West Ham)
4) Tom Heaton (Bristol City)
5) Wes Foderingham (Swindon)
6) Andy Lonergan (Bolton)
7) Matt Gilks (Blackpool)
8) Boaz Myhill (West Brom)

The same Cammy Bell that has signed a pre contract agreement with Rangers?Maybe you should be looking at Neil Alexander instead who will be leaving Ibrox?

Two keepers are needed because Loach is the only one you've got? So that will make three good keepers! How willyou keep them all happy? and what about wages for a gk to spend the season sat in the stands!

09 May 2013 08:52:49
You Only Need One Of These Keepers. I Reckon Out Of This Bunch, Your Best Bet is Wes Foderingham From Swindon.

Swindon Town Football Club Lost To Brentford Football Club In The NPower League One Play-Offs. Meaning That Swindon Town Football Club Will Play In NPower League One Next Season, So it It Likely That Wes Foderingham Will Leave Swindon Town Football Club

09 May 2013 09:36:26
Town have to cut the wages by half next season
It will be in the towns best interest to replace the manager and start fresh with a new squad as this manager has got no idea

Myhill's just signed a new contract so he won't go to Ipswich

I believe Tom Heaton is signing a new contract with Bristol City, the lads who were not have were announced yesterday.

You won't get Lonergan either

Or gilks after he has had his option on his contract activated

08 May 2013 21:41:19
Huddersfield to sign Stephen dobbie in the summer. Mark robins will also make a move for Matt Phillips from blackpool. Also a cb with pace is high on the agenda.

Thought he had a pre-contract agreement with his loan to carry on at Palace?

09 May 2013 05:04:00
Blackpool have an option on Phillips so he would cost a fee of at least £3m and with Premier League interest why would he go to Huddersfield?

Pool have activated their option on phillips so he's still under contract, honestly can't see us paying the asking price for him

Some people do live in never never land. as in you will never never get phillips from Blackpool unless you mean kevin phillips

08 May 2013 21:24:20
Guly Do Prado recently spoke to Reading manager at the the Mad Stad on a view of join Adkins at the Royals.

No thanks

09 May 2013 16:23:28
do for the bench

08 May 2013 21:12:38
Bradford City defender Stephen Darby has rejected the chance to Join Oldham Athletic and is expected to sign for Tranmere Rovers even if Bradford win the play off finals.

We have Danny Holmes as first choice right back, so why would be leave Bradford where he is first choice to be our reserve right back? Doesn't make sense

Darby has another year on his contract and has not indicated he is unhappy at Bradford City in any way so can't see him going anywhere.

08 May 2013 21:10:17
Kieron Dyer to ipswich he will not be given a new contract at middlesbrough might be worth a gamble always need experience in the side just something I think could happen

He did not want him when he came back on loan and he's hardly improved at Boro non starter this one

Ipswich can have him. He is a shadow of the player he once was.

Dyer lived up to his name at Boro this season.

Will never happen well past his best, not good enough for us

When he says he has legs of a 29 year old he is right forget about his age of 34

08 May 2013 21:07:22
Brighton will sign:

W Bridge - free transfer
M Upson - free transfer
V Van Dijk - £2. 75m
E Bennett - £1.5m
C Austin - £3.5m
N Chalobah - season long loan
L MuGugan - £2m
D Hammond - free transfer
Plus one stellar signing to be announced

Leaving will be:

P Brezovan
M Painter
R Harley
L Dunk
W Hoskins - on loan once he and CMS are fit then will leave in Janruary
G Dicker
Plus members of the DS squad to be loaned out to get 1st team experience

*McGugan is out of contract

Because of his age and being out of contract, no fee would be payable to Forest for McGugan.

For the last time, you are NOT getting Chalobah. He's staying at Watford if they go up. Otherwise WBA.

Bennett nice

If Chalobah is that good he will go back to Chelsea if not he will stay the a championship side on loan as chelsea in the prem with anothe side. Bright don't need him anyway and will be a waste.

Will the stellar signing be Zamora?

Liam Bridcutt could me moving clubc this summer. He says he wants Premiership football. Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion want Biridcutt who is valued at £5m.

Norwich City could be going down - Brighton Could be going up - so a total rubbish rumour!

08 May 2013 21:07:20
West Bromwich Albion are making Bony their top target for the summer and are set to offer 6 million plus Odemwingie for the Ivory Coast hitman.

Would really love this to be true.

This will happen along with Maloney Simpson bridcutt mcleary Pearce and popov

Wish this were trur

Cant deny odemwingie is a good player and he creates chances, but his heart ain't at the hawthorns anymore unfortunately. will be good if this is true! let him leave and be happy and get someone in who will be happy at our club! :)

08 May 2013 21:05:33
Championship side Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing Oldham Athletic defender Connor Brown and a prepared to offer formerOldham defender Kieron Lee in exchange.

Kieran Lee is a far better right back than Connor Brown, Brown is happy at Oldham and has signed a new contract

Absolute garbage, Lee is far more technically skilled than Brown and Brown is an ex Sheffield United player. Not a chance of that move happening.

Kieran Lee is 10x better player, also Brown is a huge United fan so probably wouldn't sign for Wednesday

08 May 2013 21:04:23
Huddlestone set for summer switch to west brom after a stop start season under AVB

Wages could be a problem but there is definite Interest

08 May 2013 21:02:36
Oldham Athletic goalkeeper Alex Cisak is set to leave Oldham and prepapred to drop Non League and sign for money bags Celtic Nation.

Paul Murray is also set to join them reuniting him with former manager Mick Wadsworth.

Wrong he is signing for Motherwell as the replacement for Randolph, and will play in the champions league.
Wee Ally

He's way to good for non-League

08 May 2013 20:42:08
Colchester, Gillingham, Ipswich and Peterbourgh are all looking to sign Dagenham and redbridge No1 Chris Lewington for a fee of £100k

Gillingham have Stuart Nelson as number 1 and a back up. Lewington not required!

08 May 2013 20:58:58
Huddersfield are looking at free agents Lewin Nyatanga and Tom Heaton.

Why would we want lewin? there's much better cb's to get, but we do need one.

08 May 2013 20:38:58
Chesterfield will bring in the following players:

Ryan Cresswell - Southend
Scott Arfield - Huddersfield
Evan Horwood - Hartlepool
Andy Barcham - Scunthorpe
Ashley Grimes - Rochdale

All deals to be done within 2 weeks

Cresswell won't leave Southend. He will be our captain next season if Chris Barker leaves. Also, he is settled down here in Essex and has one year left on his contract, so if you want him your going to have to pay!

Which seems highly unlikely because this is Chesterfield we're talking about.

The other 4 are possible but Cresswell is a no.

Cresswell already been Marengo at the proact, so he will sign watch this space, just cause he said he's happy there don't you think he will want to move back where all his family live,

Cresswell will not be signing for Chesterfield

Has a year to run on his contract- if you have the 150-200k needed then you might be right. If you haven't I'm afraid its more fantasy

He said himself he won't leave Southend. He's settled down here as are his family!

It's been on radio sheffield creswell will sign for Cfc. southend get over it you've lost him. He's coming to get promotion with us. not staying with you for mid table ever year.

Yeah it is not happening!

Creswell to Cfc just wait and see

I have actually tipped chesterfield to be battling relegation this year, so I doubt you will get Cresswell

Wow really battling for relegation we have a great transfer budget a great hungry manager and Eoin Doyle/Rommy Boco almost certain signaters why would we be near relegation?

Your joking, relagation not a chance if we're near the bottom you'll be on the bottom with your poor fan base and poor crowds. southend should be glad they are in the football league, and that's all you can hope for mid table at best. you joke

Who ever it is tipping Chesterfield for relegation heres the bet if Chesterfield are in the bottom 5 I will donate 20 quid to Charity if they are not you do it

08 May 2013 20:30:34
Ricardo Dwayne Fuller is set to re-join Preston.

08 May 2013 23:30:10
as a preston fan I wish this was true but can't see it happening

Please be true, doubt it though

Is he not getting past it a bit?

08 May 2013 20:15:15
Bristol City are preapred to make a cash offer for Oldham Athletic midfielder Jose Baxter and also offer midfielder Bobby Reid in exchange.

£1M will do it

Total trash! BR is a big part of our plans next season. Why would we offload him. your just putting 2 and 2 together and making 5! just because he was onloan with you! nothing more than that!

09 May 2013 08:43:03
no money bcfc

09 May 2013 11:24:26
keep him, you are in serious danger if your pinning your hopes on him, far too lightweight just yet, double relegation anybody? And Jose is too good for this level

Dont know where these 'no money' rumours are coming from! We may be in debt but so are MANY clubs! The chairman has already said that money will be available if S'OD believes he can sign someone of high quality and its a worthy investment! Baxter would be that, he's young, hungry and talented, but not 1 million pounds worth!

08 May 2013 19:48:30
Andy Williams Expressed desire to rejoin yeovil. GJ will welcome him back in open arms and is to announce the signing in the summer

I can't see that happening, he had the chance to sign a new contract in the summer, but he turned it down to go to swindle! Any way he won't get into our team as hayter and madden are both better than him!

08 May 2013 20:34:37
With David Moyes to be announced as manager of Man United tommorrow once Fergie has retired, it is expected that Baines will make his long-awaited transfer to Man United to follow Moyes

They already have a replacement for evra with büttner and also fabio is returning from QPR so that's very unlikely

Cant see baines coming in LB is ok for now

08 May 2013 20:05:12
Oldham Athletic defender James Tarkowski is set to follow former team mate Dean Furman and sign for newly promoted championship side Doncaster Rovers despite interest from Huddersfield Town.

Our other players aren;t like Furman and won;t jump ship.

Tarky has an awful lot to learn yet and is not a championship player at all. he's a bit slow and his positioning is poor as well so see why I say he has an awful lot to learn.

Good to see that Donny have paid us for Furman and to think he was free in June, that's what happens when players jump ship as this captain deserted his team. Money will go well with the Cup money though.

Not good enough yet, needs more experience at a club he will get first team football for another season

We got Furman for free

09 May 2013 13:34:52
i think you will find you paid a loan fee which rises when you achieve promotion. well done on going up but what you going to do with him now? he's no championship player

You didn't. You would have if you had stayed down (though he would have gone to another club).

Not bitter Oldham fans at all.

Just explaining what sort of player you have got, his team that he was Captain of were in trouble of relegation and what does he do, he jumps ship and shows lack of professionalism and respect for his team mates.

Thanks for the moment, mail our Chairman i'll give you the e mail addy and ask him if you want. Thanks for the money by the way.

Love how you all feel we have paid silly money for furman. John Ryan is not a man that wastes his money

Yes because the fans know exactly what happens in transfers, and you clearly are bitter every club has players that decide they want to move on, it happened with billy sharp with us and not one rovers fan is bitter about it we understood but Oldham fans keep going on about it so yes bitter is the word

Please please take tarkowski off us (Oldham fan)

Love the Tarky comment 'please take him off us' Oldham fan also.

08 May 2013 20:11:30
Out of contract Jonathan stead has hinted he will play for a Northern club in League one if he gets no offers from the Championship. Sheffield United, Coventry and Preston have all expressed an interest as have league 2 Bradford and ambitious side Fleetwood.

08 May 2013 21:39:23
He wants to play in the Championship so will be going to Huddersfield most likely or maybe Sheffield Wednesday.
BCFC COYR

Cov are midlands

08 May 2013 20:08:23
Striker Chris Iwelumo has rejected the chance to rejoin Oldham Athletic and accept a better contract from Stevenage despite interest from Crawley and League 2 Fleetwood.

OMg he is so rubbish and can;t even jump. we didn;t want him back hence he didn;t play game for us. He is one of the worst forwards i've ever seen. Shocking player.

feel sorry for Stevenage, believe me he can;t jump.

Iwelumo was on loan and is a Watford player and our manager doesn;t even want Iwelumo so your so wrong again.

he didn;t play as he is useless as a player and can;t even jump for a ball he juts chests it all the time. weird

Rejected? I doubt one was ever offered he's dire, no way League 1 standard

08 May 2013 20:03:37
Bristol City goalkeeper Tom Heaton is wanted by Oldham Athletic the former Manchester United goalkeeper is also wanted by Sheffield United.

Bristol City announced the players who were leaving and not signing contracts yesterday.

Heaton was listed as someone who will be "offered a new deal".

I am sure they're confident he will sign it or he would just be listed as leaving.

08 May 2013 20:01:25
AFCwimbledons Jack midson will join Gillingham in the next few days.

Worrying. Sounds realistic. Would be a huge player to replace. Would love him to stay and become even more of a club legend and build a team around him. Now would be a great time for loyalty and integrity to pull through.

Hope this is as reliable as the Bennett to Portsmouth rumour.

Says who and let me guess we get kedwell in exchange if he was to leave he could much better than gillingham

Midson is no better then what we have. No chance

Midson better then kedwell works harder and scores more goals not jus penalities

10 May 2013 20:05:57
He must work really hard then because Kedwell always puts in a shift

Midson puts keds to shame, always runs and is our best defender at set pieces

08 May 2013 19:51:44
Manchester United summer
Ins
Leighton Baines 15m
Robert Lewandowski 27m
Cristiano Ronaldo 65m
Out
Wayne Rooney 25m Bayern Munich
Anderson 5m Porto
Nani 7m Tottenham
Patrice Evra 5m PSG

Ronaldo won't join, Fellaini and Baines will be signings and Rooney will stay due to Moyes

08 may 2013 19:56:36
is martin allen going
to millwall

Owls fan here and I really like this bloke hope he manages owls one day a sportsman, we need more of his like in the game.

09 May 2013 22:18:23
hope millwall get him

08 May 2013 19:51:03
Edgar davids to take charge of Swindon town as a player manager

08 May 2013 19:39:57
Rene Howe spotted at Home Park this afternoon, meetings with John Sheridan, Sheridan set to make his first signing for the Pilgrims after sealing a 3 year deal with Plymouth last week

Mcormick has definetly signed for pafc on a one year contract not even a rumour he has definetly signed

08 May 2013 19:38:28
Oldham midfielder Lee Croft is set to leave Oldham with Preston, Coventry, Sheff United, Wolves & League 2 Portsmouth intersted in signing him.

Croft has already said if he is to play in league one next season it will be at Oldham.

Pity you know nothing and just guess.

Honestly think he is good enough to play Championship, no way he'd go to a different league One team never mind drop a division

08 May 2013 19:35:51
Robbie Fowler is set to snub the managers job at Macclesfield and become part of Lee Johnson coaching set up at Oldham while signing up to play for the clubs reserves.

08 May 2013 19:34:29
will hughes staying at derby this year but if liverpool come in for him we will have him back on loan for the full season plus jonjo shelvey coming on loan to

It would be his dream move as he is a Liverpool fan. However he does seem happy at Derby.

"So Will Hughes is staying. but if he doesn't" How does that work.

Just because its Liverpool even if they did come in they would be treated the exact same way as Manchester United, Manchester City, Fulham, Chelsea, Barcelona and Arsenal.

You are correct in saying that Will Hughes would be loaned back for a season. However I highly doubt that Shelvey would come on loan too, the deal would simply be Silly Money+A loan back. Silly Money like 8-10 million.

That doesn't make any sense at all. If we loaned back Hughes why would we need another CM as well?

08 May 2013 19:32:49
Former Oldham Athletic goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis is wanted by League one sides Bristol City, Colchester, Shrewsbury. League Two Bradford and French league 1 club Bastia.

09 May 2013 04:36:38
No way would Shrewsbury want another keeper when they have Weale. One of the best in the division.

Shrewsbury have Weale who is the best keeper in the league. Do not need whoever he is

Chris Weale is not the best keeper in the league! He is good and I wish we hadn't let him go a few years ago but he's nowhere near the best in the league!

To me Chris Weale kept us up with some cracking performances. My STFC player of the season by a country mile.

Chris Weale is a great keeper.

Chris Weale kept Shrewsbury Town up on his own, terrific keeper in a poor team.

If you watched him every week and saw how poor the defence infont was better than any other keeper. He made some cracking saves and kept us up.

08 May 2013 19:31:27
Bristol City have offered new contracts to Tom Heaton, Lewin Nyatanga and Louis Carey. Other out of contract players will be leaving as free agents including:
Jon Stead (most likely to Huddersfield)
Cole Skuse
Dean Gerken
Lewis Carey (GK)
And the players on short term deals including:
Mark Wilson
Matthew Bates
Brian Howard
BCFC COYR

Not THE yearly Stead rumour again, on and on all summer.

No chance of Stead coming back to Huddersfield, possibly Bradford, Barnsley, Rotherham but will have to take a big pay cut.

Nooooooooooooooooo Bad move for the mighty Town.

Stead has confirmed he is leaving to move back north, so his missus and daughter can get to know his family.

He also mentioned a few tweets down that he is sure he can still play to a Championship level.

Thsi should give you a pretty good idea of the handful of Yorkshire clubs that will get the chance to pick him up.

Its surly back to Huddersfield, Barnsley, or Leeds.

Stead is going to newly promoted Doncaster!

08 May 2013 19:28:53
Oldham Athletic defender Jean-Yves Mvoto is set to snub a new deal and join fellow League one side Preston North End.

This the same Preston that their fans booed him when we played them at their place.

Shame he's in talks with our manager then.

preston signing everyone again like last season set up for another fail. lmao

Desperately hope this isn't true. Was awful when he came to Deepdale.

Preston have signed no one this season and indicated they will be adding only two or three new faces to the existing squad.

Park Ji Sung is being given another chance in the premier league by signing for Aston Villa on a 3 year deal {Ed003's Note - I thought he was deciding between the MLS or retiring? }

3 years?

08 May 2013 22:03:44
retiring :? na

Yeah he definitely seems like a Paul Lambert type of player-I think not!

Villa only recruit players in their nappies

08 May 2013 18:29:43
Jordan Rhodes (Blackburn) is set for a summer move to West Brom, Steve Clarke has been looking for a new forward and believes Jordan Rhodes fits the bill, also linked with West Brom is Charlie Austin (Burnley)

I can't see Charlie Austin moving to WBA. He wants to head South. He would be looking at a London team

West brom is south of burnley

Danny haynes out? no chance

Why would we release so many youngsters? Jog on so

Schlupp yeah? hahah if we get him then happy days :D but not too sure about Haynes going out? He's been an asset for us this season, he has got some crutial goals for us!

08 May 2013 17:38:01
Must be off to Southampton then, Austin as said he will only leave for premiership football so that rules out Bournemouth

I really don't think he will be joining us, personally think Austin is best placed at Burnley, we've already taken Jay Rod from you lot.

Eddie howe is looking for the next lower league star financial fair play rule means we cannot afford to sign Austin

Would love charlie austin to sign for saints

Don't see another Burnley striker heading to Southampton.

I think Charlie Austin is another Robert Earnshaw type striker. Too good for the championship but not quite good enough for the premiership. I imagine someone will take a punt and it will backfire and he will come back down to championship again and score a hatful

08 May 2013 17:29:13
Middlesbrough odds on to land jaques maghoma

No chance derby are having him with calvin zola and legzkinds gk going back there

Look on the tv website, boro are odds on to sign him

08 May 2013 17:21:20
Bristol City Are Interested In Ivan Gonzalez, David Mateos, Borja Garcia And Alex Fernandez.

Ok - 1) you're a spanish bristol city fan 2) you play a lot of Football manager or 3) you played as Madrid on FIFA and got excited! One of the worst posts I've ever seen

08 May 2013 17:18:53
A number of league two clubs interested in David Amoo and Adam McGurk's services after benign released by Tranmere Rovers, those clubs are believed to be Oxford United, York City, Plymouth Argyle and Scunthorpe United.

I'd take both at Scunny.

08 May 2013 17:12:55
Vaughan to snub Derby for town as he would prefer a Huddersfield move

Complete lie. He's not making a decision till after his holiday. Its in the balance.

Why would he derby got better ambitions then huddersfield

More than likely I think (Derby fan) but I think we are are better move for him!

This purely depends on who can offer more money to Norwich simply.

Derby have the 3rd lowest wage bill in the league but are 10th in the league. Therefore you would not expect them to be able to compete. However this summer it is common knowledge that derby are upping the anti and signing some quality players on a good wage, an example would be Lee Grant.

Vaughan already has ties at both clubs but he spent a lot longer at Huddersfield and scored goals there.

Derby do look as though they will be challenging for the playoffs next season and beating Huddersfield to this signing would be massive.

Derby are signing a striker from Norwich anyway I think it's Chris Martin

08 May 2013 17:12:17
Bristol City Will Hand Pablo Ibez A Trial After Being Released From Birmingham.

Just what we need that! too slow, can't play on the floor and would command quite big wages! Also he's over 24 and we've said we're unlikely to sign anyone over that age!

08 May 2013 17:08:53
Ipswich after Scotland defender Berra
Birmingham after Motherwell Nicky Law
Jordan Allan Airdrie to Fulham he is 14
Lech Proznan after Barry Douglas Dundee United

Southamptons andy robinson set to sign for Notts county

He's a good prospect. Doesn't seem to have had more than about 3 weeks without an injury for about 2 years though. Would be a risk for Notts

08 May 2013 16:57:43
Cheltenham Town midfielder Marlon Pack has turned down a new contract. Bournemouth are close to completing a deal.

Also we signed wade Elliot and Scott wagstaff both on free

^ We signed these players you say? I can't find anything on it.

08 May 2013 16:43:19
Ipswich Town will look to bring in a large amount of players this window as Mick McCarthy builds his own squad. These transfers will likely be:

McGoldrick - Free (Nottingham Forrest)
Tabb - Free (Reading)
Murphy - Free (Celtic)
Skuse - Free (Bristol City)
Judge - Free (Notts County)
Ebanks-Blake - Free (Wolves)
Stearman - 750k (Wolves)
McLean - 300k (St Mirren)
Olejnik - 300k (Peterborough)

Olejnik for 300k. Are you serious? We paid that for him last year, why would we want to sell our player of the season for the same amount. I think that you should follow rugby as I don't think that you understand football very well!

Olejnik £3000. 00?. It's not a closing down sale at Posh!

Mick won't buy a goalkeeper, he will wait to near the end of the transfer window and see if there is one for free

08 May 2013 16:41:25
posh first signing will be York winger matty blair,

08 May 2013 16:38:47
Ipswich Town set to sign Jay Tabb for free of Reading as he has expressed an interest of leaving and liked his stay at Town. Ipswich are also hoping to bring in Stearman, Forrester, Mcgoldrick (deal already made) and also have enquired about bringing Rhodes back to the club but were firmly rebuffed by Blackburn as he is by far the best player they own.

Rhodes don't make me laugh town fan

I am an Ipswich fan. Rhodes will not join in the summer, Ipswich don't have funds to sign a player recently sold for £8m. To be honest he's not going to want to return to a club that unfairly sent him down the divisions when he had better qualities than Huddersfield!

08 May 2013 23:44:52
Rhodes cost Blackburn 8M and scored 30 goals. Why would they sell him?

08 May 2013 16:27:23
Mk dons are wanting to sign Ashley Eastham, Andy Drury and Evan Horwood in the coming days.

Are they any good and who do they play for

Horwood is a left back. We seem to have enough of those.

Drury would only be feasible if we lost Gleeson or Potter. That won't happen until much later this summer in the case of Gleeson, if at all this summer. Potter's going nowhere.

Eastham ties in nicely with being a makeweight in a the Gary MacKenzie deal so could be possible.

They're not great and are all free after being released.

You didn't think we could buy them, did you?

LOL

Ashley Eastham is a right-back if I am correct so this one has legs definately.

Whereas, Evan Horwood is an experienced left-back and I doubt we'd be heading down this road with Lewie and hopefully Chicko in these areas.

Andy Drury if I'm right is a former Ipswich Town winger and I'm not too sure about this. {Ed003's Note - Eastham is a centre half}

08 May 2013 16:10:31
Derby to sign Nakhi Wells from Bradford for 1.2 mill when the playoffs have finished.

Various sources
Sun
Mirror

Derby haven't got that much money to throw about like that unbelivable geoff

Derby are looking to spend at least 1 million pounds on one player this season. This is because the wage budget has been increased slightly and most of the targets are free agents.

There will be plenty of interest in Wells though. Would be an excellent signing for the player and the club. Provides an excellent platform for Wells where he would get first team games unlike the premier league and derby would get a someone who has an eye for goal which is what they need.

Its possible that Derby made have funds due to the 10 million for Will Hughes . plus the players that are surplus to requirements. ?

We could quite easily afford 1m if we're honest. Every off-season, there's a small cash injection from the board plus we'll have the income from player sales. Even Fielding and Legzdins on their own would fetch 750K in my opinion.

08 May 2013 15:58:19
Ipswich to sign Nicky Baily on a free from Middlesborough

08 May 2013 15:50:41

08 May 2013 15:29:11
Chesterfield looking to strengthen with a number of signings:
Aaron Chapman - Belper
Matt Doherty - Wolves
Ryan Creswell - Southend
Tom Clarke - Huddersfield
Dougie Wilson - Hull
Darragh Lenihan - Blackburn
Eoin Doyle - Hibs

A deal for Boco from Accrington has fallen through due to wage demands of circa £2. 5k and may be replaced as a target by released Charlie Barnett.

Really don't know where you got this from. Doyle yea because that got announced weeks ago! But rest of em? Cook hasn't said anything about signings or anything about approaching! Cresswell is apparently on our radar but we shall see! In my eyes this is a load of shhhhhhhhh!

08 May 2013 20:48:45
Bad news church is set for town or millwall on a free let's hope not

Cresswell has said he is remaining at Southend next season after having his best ever season. If Chesterfield want him he'll cost you at least 100k.

Surely when you think of team strengthening, the last man you'd sign is Tom Clarke?

08 May 2013 15:27:05
Peterborough are interested in free agent Ryan Burge, who was released by Port Vale following a fall out with the club. This also indicates that Jack Payne won't return to Peterborough, as he ponders over a new deal that has been offered to him by Gillingham

Wrong. Jack Payne has another two years left on his current deal. But I think we will look to sell as we could make £500,000+ from his sale.

Payne will be a Posh player for next season.

I don't think posh will be paying 500k for him and also I really don't think he will want to go, he will go to the championship

Ryan Burge is a well worth a punt for any 3rd or 4th tier club considering no fee is involved. His ability is not in question, attitude is the problem. allegedly.

08 May 2013 15:17:01
Kevin Davies to hull

08 May 2013 15:14:24
Jon Stead set to join Carlisle United after leaving Bristol City this week to move back North for family reasons. Very good source close to the club.

He is from Huddersfield near Carlisle

He will go huddersfield

Would be welcome in Carlisle, him up front with miller would be a perfect combination but could Carlisle afford his wages

Absolutley no chance firstly carlisle wouldn't be able to pay his wages and there are many championship clubs interested in him.

He's just been released from us having been on close to 15k a week, fairplay is Carlisle can afford that!

Not a chance

Are you having a laugh, Carlisle is no where near Huddersfield, first as Carlisle is in Cumbria and Huddersfield is in Yorkshire. 15k a week, would be lucky if the entire squad is that combined. we have no money and are further reducing our player wages

Saying cumbria and yorkshire are far away is a bit stupid considering they have a border with each other, You should say Carlisle is north Cumbria and Huddersfield is in central Yorkshire

08 May 2013 15:00:08
Brighton said to be in talks for Barcelona B over the availability of Gerard Deulofeu. Gus Poyet has shortlisted him as his top transfer target for next year.

Barcelona see Deulofeu as the most promising youngster to come through their academy since Messi, go figure the chance of Poyet signing him

Sorry but it ain't going to happen

Can only see it on loan

Jabo Ibehre could be linking up with John Ward at Bristol Rovers.

This would give Rovers a nice headache as to who to play alongside the big man, with Ryan Brunt and Matt Harold already signed up for next season.

Rovers are also keen to see if QPR might loan them Tom Hitchcock for the season, whilst Jake Hydes agent has also been busy suggesting a move to the Mem.

Midfield remains the critical area still with deals being discussed for Peter Levens, John Joe OToole, Amine Linganzi. jW is keen on all three.

Leaving BRFC could be Fabian Broghammer to Newport whilst the retained list is due for publication in the next week or so. Expect few surprises although Oliver Norburn could be on his way with Orient interested.

Jabo would not go down to league two after an amazing season in league one plus he wouldn't want to move that far seen as he's living in Bucks. Not going to happen.

Jabo has stated that he won't drop down to league Two and there are Three league One clubs chasing him so you will have to look elsewhere.

Rovers aren't even looking for a striker anyway. Their manager said as much.

Believe me when I say the striker search is not over.

08 May 2013 12:45:19
Burnley interested in former Leeds and Scotland u21 keeper Alan Martin who's now at Crewe

08 May 2013 14:55:03
Adam Legzdins is to make a surprise return to Burton Albion this summer, with Calvin Zola moving to Derby as part of the deal.

We want maghoma not zola! have enough donkeys up top

Zola won't go to Derby. He's coming to Shrewsbury Town or someone else in League 1. STFC!

1. ledgekkins wil not be going to league two.
2. a championship team wil have him as no 1 or a prem as number 2.

08 May 2013 14:28:59
Kone and Maloney will join West Brom in summer with Odemwingie going to Wigan as part of the deal.

09 May 2013 19:13:23
i think for the sake of the club (IF RELEGATED) and assuming the big earners leave or are sold what have we got coming through from reserves/youth and are they to be given contracts? what players should we keep in view of this?

08 May 2013 14:27:33
Loan star Declan Rudd has no intention of staying at Preston, instead preferring to return to parent club Norwich to fight for the number 1 jersey.

Whilst in the Premiership, Norwich will need a much better keeper than Dec Rudd. He has 2 options, stay and don't play at all or leave and play a full season with a league 1/championship side.

He will NOT be coming back to Preston, said he enjoyed his time playing here but will either fight for spot at Norwich or go on loan to a championship side

Thats strange, because it wasn't 6 weeks ago that he said he wouldn't mind joining preston permanently.

Efe Sodje to sign for Barnet or Barrow during the off season, thought to prefer Barrow

Barrow won't be able to afford Efe full time and he's better than BSN unfortunately

08 May 2013 13:08:46
Out of contract defender Ashley Eastham is a target for Championship side Barnsley. David Flitcroft is an admirer of the defender and is prepared to offer him first team football in order to snap him up.

Before anything happens regarding potential transfers, the Directors have got to act. What are they waiting for? Fairness and common sense says that David Flitcroft must be given at least a two year contract! Why is the decision taking so long to reach? Are the Directors claiming there is no money to sign new players? Come on Directors act now!

08 May 2013 12:45:41
Blackpool defender Ashley Eastham, who has spent the latter half of the season at League 1 Bury, is a transfer target for Championship side Barnsley. Out of contract in July & will be the Tykes first deal of the summer.

Not good enough for the Conference never mind the Championship!

He is a great signing if you get him. UTMP. good luck Ash lad

Agreed, great player with huge potential, 6ft 3 big and strong!

When ollie give him his chance he got sent off (sheffeild wed in league cup)

Another lower Div player, Filtcroft has to start looking above we have had enough players from Rochdale if he wants to get into the plyoffs

Would cost you money, he is under 24

Hull City Are Looking At Some Championship/League 1 Players To Join Them In The Prem - Sako (wolves), McGugan (Nottingham Forrest), Rhodes (Blackburn), Redmond ( Birmingham), Davies (Birmingham), Daniel Ayala ( Nottingham Forrest/Norwich)

Some Others Hull Are Interested In - Hooper (celtic), Le Fondre (Reading), Connor Wickham (Sunderlan), El Mohamady (Sunderlan, close to signing), Di Santo (Wigan), Powell (on loan from United), Peter Crouch (Stoke)

Someone's a bit excited. Hull will never sign hooper or le fondre.

If you read Nigel Adkins recent conference you'd see he said that le fondre's very much in his plans so good luck with that.

Redmond and Davies are joining Stoke they bidded in april already so its a done deal

08 May 2013 12:13:56
Hull City Are Looking At Some Championship/League 1 Players To Join Them In The Prem - Sako (wolves), McGugan (Nottingham Forrest), Rhodes (Blackburn), Redmond ( Birmingham), Davies (Birmingham), Daniel Ayala ( Nottingham Forrest/Norwich)

Some Others Hull Are Interested In - Hooper (celtic), Le Fondre (Reading), Connor Wickham (Sunderlan), El Mohamady (Sunderlan, close to signing), Di Santo (Wigan), Powell (on loan from United), Peter Crouch (Stoke)

That's a fair amount of money listed there. Rhodes cost 8million, Redmond been linked for 3million plus, crouch and Alfie won't go for much less than 4-5 million

If/When Norwich stay up, can see them letting ayala go on loan for a season to see how he copes with consistant prem footy. if he can play well with a relatively clean injury record, he will most likely stay to be a future partner of R Benno, once Bassong and Turner have had their career played out.

Crouch's GS record has been very "meh" this year, he would more likely be 3-4 than 4-5. which under the new tv deal is affordable for most.

I can't imagine Turner playing out his career at Norwich. Is he even 30 yet?

No one will want to join Hull when they will be playing in the championship again this time next season

Crouches goalscoring hasn't been brilliant because pulis has dropped players who can cross a ball well, pennant etc and stuck by Shotton and Walters to do it for him, and with Shotton being a Center Half by trade and Walters a striker, they can't cross to save their lives

What do you mean Shotton was centre half by trade he came through the youth academy as a striker and has developed a versatile role as a wingback by pulis so I dunno where you get centre half from and walters can put a ball in the box but he cannot keep up with play as pulis will not rest him

08 May 2013 11:51:56
Bristol Rovers have entered talks with former Port Vale Midfielder Ryan Burge

The 24-year-old saw his contract terminated three weeks before the end of the season after a fall-out with the club.

He made 37 appearances prior to his release.

08 May 2013 11:51:41
The Daggers set to take Matt Heath on trial following his release from Colchester United. Young Goalkeeper Sean Phillips also to go on trial to The Daggers to gain lower tier football league experience.

I spoke to Matt when he sat in the stands at Carlisle and he said he will most probably be dropping down to league two to gain valuable playing time as his career slowly is closing in on him. Strong source people

Yes I've heard some truth in this! Philips looks a real prospect!

Phillips is an outstanding up and coming keeper very quick off his line and never hesitates in coming for crosses Dagenham will be luck to have him !

Wouldnt bother, had him at cardiff. total waste and big ego. garbage.

Portsmouth will be signing four players tomorrow after completing medicals. 23 Allessane N'diaye, a long term target. Former York city winger, Matty Blair. Torquay striker Rene Howe with all his experience in lower league football, and current administration Aldershot's forward, Danny Hylton who has also been a long term target for Portsmouth.

ITK.

Really hope all I these signings will happen tomorrow can't wait to see who will :) play up Pompey

Not according to the NEWS Matty Blair heads a list of new faces pencilled in for Fratton Park medicals before completing permanent deals.
But Whittingham is tight-lipped over the identity of the remainder of the quartet he is closing in on. The News understands they are an experienced lower-division striker, a towering left-sided central defender and a youngster who can operate in defence and midfield.

It will only be one of the strikers so the other player shaun cooper

Akinfenwa experienced striker

N'diaye is a 23 year old, 6'5 who can play either midfield or defence. Rene Howe is a experienced lower leage striker.

08 May 2013 10:26:58
southampton are near to signing two players victor ruiz and nani both repertodely to be signing for 9 million each

Nani is well past his best and his wages would be through the roof. Can't see it.

What is it with this nani rumor I keep hearing?! It's compete rubbish, there's no way he will be coming to saints!

We may be an ambitious club but we're not there yet, if nani goes anywhere it will be to another side who plays in Europe!

As for Victor Ruiz, I really hope that happens! can see him being tempted with poch being an old manager of his but it will all depend on whether Valencia qualify for champs league or Europa next year because there's no way he'll leave if they finish in the top 4

08 May 2013 10:25:42

Steven Schumacher Looks Set To Move Down South To Southend United. The Centre Midfielder Would Replace Sean Clohessy As Vice Captain As Ryan Cresswell Would Take Over From Chris Barker Who Looks Set To Join His Brother, Ritchie, At Crawley.

No chance, he is to old, Barker senior is building a young side and he has enough midfielders.

Chris Barker is a Left Back. and has hinted at a move away from Southend to Crawley. As a Southend fan, I should know

We have Joe Walsh and Matt Sadler who play left back and with a small wage budget he won't sign another one. Also he is tol old.

Walsall are set to sign Kevin Phillips following Will Grigg's imminent move to Aston Villa.

Griggs will not go to villa and we have no chance of getting Phillips

Grigg eve. ?

Will Grigg is good but needs to prove it next season and premiership is too high if a standard for him at the moment

08 May 2013 19:19:53
Aint Grigg and Brandy suppose to be signing a new contract.

08 May 2013 10:41:51
Chris Kirkland and Curtis Davies will be joining the Tigers!

Great news, another two big lads in the scrum, stand a chance of beating bath now

08 May 2013 11:51:40
Hope we go for Davies; one of the best defenders in the Championship

Chris Kirkland has been one of Sheffield Wednesdays best players this year and he is keen to repay the faith they've shown in him playing all the league games this year. also they seem to be ambitious with Manderic at the help so it would take big money to get him which clubs don't pay for keepers.

Declan Rudd is taking a holiday and will decide on his immediate future once he returns. Luke Ayling (Yeovil) has been subject to enquiry from PNE. Mansfeild forward Matt Green has been offered a trial for Preston's pre-season tour of Ireland. Neither Lee Novak, or his agent, have contacted Preston as of yet.

Ayling won't go up north to join a league one team he'll only consider moving up there if its in the championship

will hughes will be off to liverpool. meaning that jonjo shelvey will be on his way to derby-- the times!

I thought he was going to Man City and Stoke and Everton and Tottenham. etc. etc. I don't see him going anywhere. And if he does, he will be at Derby on a season long loan.

I could only see that happening if it was a loan for shelve as part of a deal for hughes.

Lil Red

james vaughn looking more likely to join huddersfield now thanks to swansea beating wigan and edging norwich closer to safety. huddersfield hoping to tie up a 1m deal for the 24 yr old as soon as possible with vaughn happy to talk to the terriers
true terrier

I'm sure Hoyle & co will pull out all the stops to tie up a deal for Vaughan but we may need to show him that we're looking at the other end of the table, rather than another relegation scrap!

Strong competition from Derby

Eliot Richards looking for a move, after a lack of first team action at Bristol Rovers.
Newly promoted Newport eager to take the want away striker and will offer the player a 2 year deal with an option for a 3rd year.

Elliott signed a 5 Year deal last Year (or the Year before) so Newport will need to pay a fee for his services - he is a Welsh lad and already knows Pipe/Byron so would make sense. good luck to him - not quite good enough despite a number of chances - he'll probably be one that comes back to haunt us!.

He didn't sign a 5 year deal, his contract runs out in 2014 I believe. He wouldn't be a massive loss to us and would mean we could sign a couple of proven strikers. He's talented, absolutely, but he shows no consistency whatsoever.

Not going to happen as Elliot is happy with us.

I can't see newport paying a fee for richards, that alone is to say this isn't true but will not be a massive loss imo.

5 year deal? his current contract runs out next season so if newport offer a small compensation package then i'm sure that will be agreed considering he isn't worth a contract extension giving his performances so far. If he's here next season with us (which i'm sure he will be) then next season will be a make or break for him.

There has definately been contact through his agent, however he is unsure if he would like to move even if a deal materialised. Can see the possible draws though with his family living in new tredegar and the opportunity to play regularly up front which is his favoured position

If, as you say, there has been contact with his agent then surely that's bad conduct? I know this sort of thing happens all the time but Newport should be talking to Rovers before attempting to discuss a move with Eliot and his agent.

Southend Manager Phil Brown Has Enquired About The Availability Of Brighton's Slovakian Goalkeeper Peter Brezovan.

Brezovan Is Gus Poyet's Third Choice 'Keeper Behind No. 1 Casper Ankergren & No. 2 Tomasz Kuszczak.

He Has Only Appeared 43 Times For Brighton Since 2009.

As much as I agree brezovan could go to southend. get you facts right! kuszczak is the un doubted number 1 and ankergren is the number 2! has always been that way since kuszczak joined and never been the other way around

Season loan maybe - need to keep him at the club as not a bad keeper but need some more playing time

Brezovan will leave if Brighton go up but for now he is staying

6ft 7 can't catch a cold. TK is no1, CA is no2

Ahaha ankergren is our number 1! Do you know anything! Super tomasz has been our no. 1 pretty much since the day he came!

Whatever, that's not what this is about.

It's about the transfer of Brezovan from Brighton to Southend!

Brighton Fan: Brezovan In my opinion is a very good keeper, unfortunately with form of Tomas kuszczak being the no1 keeper and Ankergren the close support keeper chances have been limited for Peter Brezovan. So I think yes he needs to play first team football and Southend would be a good club for him. I think he will surprise a few people on how much he's progressed with Brighton.

stevenage interested in re signing chris beardsley, they are also interested in striker jack midson from afc wimbledon. the striker impressed in a benefit match at stevenage on tuesday night and westley wants to add more fire power to his front line

08 May 2013 10:43:58
if he wants to add fire power he better not sign Beardsley he is crap

I would carry chris beardsley to stevanage on my back to get rid of him

Midson would presumably command a relatively large transfer fee as he has a year on his contract. Stevenage seem a well run club, but would be a big loss for AFC Wimbledon. Would seem a strange move for the player, appears happy at the club, relatively unmotivated by money and bar league position, would be difficult to argue its a move to a bigger club.

If you carry him to Stevenage we will carry him back :)

After Releasing Veteran Goalkeeper Brian Jensen, Burnley Are Looking To Bring In Two New 'Keepers.

These Are Believed To Be Two Of The Following:

Paul Smith - Southend - Not Championship Quality In My Opinion (As A Southend Fan), But On The Other Hand, Has Plenty Of Championship Experience

Matt Duke - Bradford - Linked With Southend But Would Probably Prefer A Move To The Championship If The Bantams Fail To Win The League 2 Play-Off Final

Declan Rudd - Norwich - Was On Loan At Preston North End Last Season, Simon Grayson Is Considering Bringing Him Back To The Lilywhites Though

Steve Phillips - Crewe - Has No Championship Experience, But Has Experience In League 1 & League 2. Would Cope With Championship Football Easily

Bristol City's Heaton's available on a free, decent keeper. But even better is his no. 2, Dean Gerken.

Lee camp - will be released by norwich

Duke is not all that good. His cup run was unbelievable but when I have seen him he let in costly mistakes against Exeter and Rochdale. Anyway he is not first choice anymore. He is poor off his line.

Please take paul smith he is the reason why we finished mif table instead of the play offs. never comes off his line only player I want to get injured

Arsenal left back Jernade Meade, highly rated by Wenger, will be allowed to leave on a free transfer due to a lack of first team opportunities behind Gibbs and Monreal.

Not sure which clubs will take the talented youngster who made a composed debut in the Champions League this season

08 May 2013 11:11:19
Derby County have had him watched so may renew their interest if he is available on a free

Heard he will be joining NFFC

08 May 2013 07:54:11
If Wigan are relegated, a host of clubs will be after Ecuadorian star Jefferson Monteiro, who was due to join Martinez's side (following the deal not quite going through in January).

Rotherham are set to complete the signing of released Oxford United striker Tom Craddock within the next few days.

This isn't true why would we sign players who have been released in L2 when we are pushing for promotion to the championship

Rotherham set to sign Zola on a 2 year contract, with view of a third!
Also set to sign 2 players from Leicester City, not yet known which players!

Pushing for promotion to the championship - the season hasn't even started yet so how can you state that. Unless you mean the bundles of money that are being thrown at it again. Only go to end one way - like Portsmouth

That's because that's what our chairman states

And we haven't thrown bundles of money at it we have only bought 1 player that was frecklington the rest were on frees

We bought one player last season, and that was Frecklington who cost around 120k-150k.
Everyone else was on a free and our attendance has gone from 3000 to 8000 so we have got a slight but more for wages.

Really interesting football story developing. reports of a major management announcement are coming out of man utd, scheduled for sunday after their match against swansea. Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be announcing his retirement from his role at the club with a view to possibly taking on a board position. Now i'm sure we have all heard the rumours about Jose Mourinho returning to chelsea, but nobody has ever actually said where his destination would be, only that he is interested in managing in England. We also know that Cristiano Ronaldo is keen on a return to the club that made him (Man Utd) Has Mourinho been playing us all along? letting us believe he is returning to chelsea when in fact he is being lined up by Manchester United and taking Ronaldo with him from Real Madrid? Or am I adding 2 and 2 together and making 5? {Ed025's Note - the big money is on moyes to become fergies puppet..

08 May 2013 08:22:25
The Special One at Man Utd? Surely Moyes is a shoe in? That's IF the big announcement is that Red Nose is retiring. Maybe it's Lovely Boy Ronaldo coming 'Home' & Shrek leaving for Germany & Bayern?

I for one would love to see him at man united I reckon he would relish managing them and would take them a step further. jim lcfc

It'll be Moyes, he's not signed a new deal and Jose is going to Chelski to rub the mad Russian's nose in it.

Blowing my own trumpet, I've said all season that SAF would jack it in and be replaced by Moyes.

08 May 2013 11:27:19
When Mourinho and Ronaldo were very down-key and respectful after their win at Old Trafford it did cross my mind that he was paving the way for both of them to end up there.

Rumours flying out of St Mary's

Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Borussia Moenchengladbach) The Barca deal is untrue
Angelo Ogbonna (Torino)
Stefan de Vrij (Feyenoord)
Aleksandar Dragovic (Basel)
Lamine Sane (Bordeaux)
Victor Wanyama (Celtic)
Nathaniel Chalobah (Chelsea) loan deal – more likely to WBA IMO and from conversations I have had with people at Chelsea
Adam Maher (AZ Alkmaar)
Victor Ruiz (Valencia)
Will Hughes (Derby)
Nathan Redmond (Birmingham)
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal) Loan Deal
Scott Sinclair (Man City)
Wilfried Bony (Vitesse)

This looks very much like a footy manager wonderkids list to me hmm made up somewhat

Only a few of these are realistic, think you should stop playing fifa

Clarkey saint

Not a chance with Chalobah.

He will stay at Watford if they go up. If not - WBA.

? it seems that like Sam Byram, Will Hughes is RUMOURED to be signing for just about every Premier League team, more han likely neither player will leave

Will Hughes? He's not going anywhere unless you offer silly money and I doubt you will do that

Clough amits that it will be difficult to hold onto Will Hughes. I think a club like the Saints might be better for Hughes. I would rather Will Hughes stay at Derby for another year.

08 May 2013 00:55:53
Huddersfield preparing a bid for Oldham Athletic target man Matt Smith 23, after scoring goals against EPL clubs in the cup.

Wont be bidding as he is out of contract and is available on a free

He's out of contract but nice rumour :-)

No such league as the EPL?

Smith will go to a better championship than yourselves so nice rumour and he's also FREE, so get you facts right please.

We've got rid of Alan Lee, what's the point in bringing a worse Alan Lee in?

He's not a worse Alan lee he's 23 and can score headers

That was a joke mate, but my point is, is that Matt Smith won't add anything to our squad, he's a L1 player at best, I'm not an Oldham fan, so they'll have to confirm, but I don't see his name on the scoresheet very much.

08 May 2013 01:27:05
Any afc wimbledon rumours

Charlie sherringham from bournmouth, saw an article in a newspaper about it

Scores for fun in the Conference south. Only Scored once above that level. Would be a gamble on both effectiveness at league two level and fitness, but he is young and has worked hard to be a pro. Could be a good fit for both player and club. Scored a tidy brace against AFC Wimbledon for Welling at home in the 08/09 season.

Wouldnt be my 1st choice he be at the bottom of the list and get him if we can't get the targets we really want

08 May 2013 00:44:08
Reading to sign

Leonardo Bacuna
Paddy Madden (Yeovil)
Thomas Eisfeld loan (Arsenal)
Daniel Fox (Southampton)
Jeffrey Bruma loan (Chelsea)

Please, please, please, let this be true. woo and indeed good rid of Fix!
SaintRen1

Every club on the planet seems to linked with our player, Madden, at the moment. You can't all sign him!

Chaplow was brilliant for the first half of our promotion season to the prem until he got injured. Would be a great signing for Ipswich. He goes with our blessing.

Bacuna, Madden, Eisfeld and Bruma YES! Fox, no

You don't even have to pay for Fox, we'll just let you have him for a packet of crisps (Thai sweet chilli) and a bag of skittles

Sheffield united are to sign Walsall forward Jamie Patterson for around £375,000 plus winger Erik Tonne (21) (who has been on loan at Norwegian side HamKam) will be part of the deal to bring Patterson to Bramall lane joining the midlands based side on a permanent contract

Paterson is under contract and would fetch double that at least.

He's worth a lot more than that and plus were a better team

09 May 2013 10:28:41
No, you're a one man team due to Jamie Patterson.

That about Erik Tonne isn't true as he is on loan at HamKam until the end of November and he isn't able to be recalled.

How are we a one man team? We've got Grigg, Brandy, Chambers', Mantom, Baxendale ect.

We are a one man team? Forgotten about brandy? Grigg? Like I said he won't go to you.
