Shrewsbury town are going to sign 2 forwards this week one from stoke and the other forward menset from a London team?

Are they loans?

Is the Stoke one Big Mama Sidibe?

James Alabi from Stoke. Had a short spell at Scunthorpe last season.

Mama will be a good signing, unlucky with injuries, but always gives 110%, also a top bloke

Alabi has been photographed training with Stoke's 1st team & is looking to break into the squad, so it doesn't look likely that Shrewsbury will sign him. Mind you, it doesn't look like Shrewsbury are going to sign any strikers!

Another day goes by and still no additions to our paper thin squad.

If you fail to plan you plan to fail, we go into a prestige friendly against Galatasary with just one unproven striker on the books.

Pretty poor in my books.

It's a friendly not a league 1 match if there's 3 points up for grabs then its time 2 worry early days

I really feel that the club has well and truly lost the plot. we will just about be able to cobble together a side for our prestige friendly vs Galatasary AND all you can say is don't worry??

My second rumour of the close season. Scott Wagstaff to have a medical at Ashton Gate early this week with a view to signing for Bristol City.

I am reading this a few places now. Looks like its happening.

Millwall played a behind doors friendly today against Dartford at the training ground today.

Nicky Bailey, John Bostock and Simon Church all featured for the lions.

Nothing on the website. Nothing about who is going out either.

I take it someones off school & playing football manager?

Bristol Citys Davies in talks with Millwall, should sign this week

Every player seems to be in talks with Millwall? It's just getting them to 'SIGN'? Have faith in SL!

No game at training ground today

Ince to be cardiff player tomorrow after terms have been met

Still talking

Surley Paul couldn't cut it in the Prem these days

Whats happening with james harper, thought he had been released. Seems like were keeping him seen as he's played so far in pre season {Ed029's Note - Wasn't he given a new one year deal? Surprised he's not rated at Donny. He was a very good holding player when at Reading.

He was given an extra 1 year due to a clause in his contract because of number of games he somehow played last season. let's hope he improves next season.

At reading? What 4/5 years ago?

Take it from a reading fan living in donny James harper was a quality midfielder on his day and if he can recoup some of that form next season he'll be a valuble asset to a team like donny who no doubt struggle in championship

He had a clause in his contract if he played so many games he got a new contract

07 Jul 2013 21:31:43
I think danny rogers is a decent goalie and could do a job for us. I can't wait till new season now. So I would use the money and try and get darren barr fae hearts signed.

07 Jul 2013 21:04:50
Charlie Austin to have medical in hull tomorrow morning and could be announced as a city player in the afternoon

07 Jul 2013 21:04:31
Boro to open talks with Danny Graham on season long loan. Jozy Altidore + other Di Canio targets mean Graham is surplus to requirements but wants to remain in North East!

Graham and the juke equals 40 goals between them, just need wheats alongside woody and we are looking good for promotion!

07 Jul 2013 20:49:37
Wigan are closing in on Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing.

Hope not, atrocious player in a position we are well stocked in.

07 Jul 2013 20:20:16
BMC has had a boost by McCormack confirming he is happy at elland road and doesn't want to leave. Also talks abou being close to making his 4th signing a few names have been mentioned, Gary Mackey Stevens, Stephen hunt, tommy Rowe. Rumours has it its hunt on a free transfer

07 Jul 2013 20:11:55
St Johnstone to sign Brian Easton, Mehdi Abeid and Anthony Stokes before Friday.

Somehow I don believe anthony stokes will join st johnstone. from a gers fan btw stevo88

Abeid and easton are likely but no way could we ever afford stokes

08 Jul 2013 15:34:57
Stokes I don't think so, abied is thinking about going to millwall or Leicester

07 Jul 2013 19:59:38
Millwall have been in talks with out of contract midfielders David Jones and Simon Davies, also spoke to the agent of former Blackpool forward Elliott Grandin

Grandin signed a 3 year deal in the middle east after leaving Blackpool.

07 Jul 2013 19:55:39
Rotherham have made a bid for Jack Redshaw from Morecambe. James Collins from Swindon and Matt Tubbs from Bournemouth also remain on their radar. Evans also wants to add a centre half to his squad with Matt Killgallon (released by Sunderland) and Kyle Mcfadzean from Crawley both possibilties. Mcfadzean is from sheffield and watched rotherham in their recent friendly win over Parkgate.

If your going to make up rumours atleast make them believable, Kyle mcfadzean plays for crawley the one who plays for Sheffield utd is callum mcfadzean & Rotherham have no chance of signing him, Also kilgallon has joined a championship club so that's a non starter aswell.

Killgallon? and how are you going to pay him

You guys keep saying put a bid in for Collins? 1. He would never go to you. And 2. You couldn't afford him. So stop dreaming.

If you read the post correctly it does state that kyle mcfadzean plays for crawley but was born in sheffield. Yes his younger brother does play for sheff utd and a real talent. Maybe kyle wants to return back to yorkshire and the millers could be the ideal club. So before commenting and making yourself look silly read the post correctly.

Huddersfield are reportedly interested in Collins. Doubt Rotherham have a chance if there's any other championship interest on top of that

07 Jul 2013 23:03:29
Kyle still has a year left at crawley he played in a friendly Friday night he also said after the game he is staying at crawley one more season SOz mate of your list

If good money for fads comes in he will be gone

Kilgallon's just signed for Blackburn

Bid for Redshaw rumoured to be £100,000. Up it to £250,000 plus 50% sell on and it might be of interest. Too many times in the past have clubs in League 2 been screwed by so called bigger clubs.

Need to bigger than that bid like 300,000 because of lack of forwards so no sale

Its the value of the player. It doesn't matter how many strikers you have, with the money you should buy a new one, have one already in the wings or be signing one anyway.

There's no way Rotherham could afford mcfadzean he is worth about 1 mill

bristol city's steve davies will be signing for derby county, the deal will be concluded on wednesday. Davies missed bristol city's game against clevedon on saturday as he has been talking with derby since friday.

sam baldock is also wanted by leeds united as they have failed to replace the goals becchio score when he left for norwich.

liam fontaines move to yeovil looks OFF as they could not agree a suitable wage sum

Where do I start with the Davies rumour?. He left Derby for personal and not footballing reasons. AND until players leave, Derby already have 8 stikers. Davies would make it 9! This is such a nonsense rumour.

07 Jul 2013 21:17:34
I was at game Saturday and he was in the stands so get your facts right. He's happy in Bristol and persuaded frank fielding to join.

He's staying put next rumour

He didn't persuade Frank to join at all. It probably helped but it certainly wasn't the deciding factor.

Bristol were the best (might have been the only) club to come in for him and it was the right move if he wanted 1st team football.

Leeds not interested in Baldock, they are looking for a taller, quicker striker.

I can't see us selling Davies and Baldock. One will probably go.

Bristol were the only club to come in for him.

Southampton will open talks with Martin Demichelis, according to reports from Spain. The Argentine centre back has been released from his contract with Malaga, and fellow countryman and Saints' manager Mauricio Pochettino is now set to make an offer to the player.

M13

Nah, I don't believe it.

Even though we already have 2 new Centre Backs for the season ahead (counting Forren).

Won't happen, Cortese does the deals and he goes for young players and he's 32 so no way.

Bailey

I read the same article but I think it is guess work from the writer in all fairness

Nothing wrong with one experienced player. Would be a bench player, not a starter however. Worth it on a free.

He is available on a freebie so even though 32, with his previous international & european experience would be a massive benefit for our young team. don't forget we made a serious bid for del piero last season so age clearly isn't an over riding factor when it comes to an influential player

Why does everyone always state that we are going for younger players never older ones. Remember us trying to sign del piero last summer?

He is equally capable in DM role as well. Would be a good signing on a free

Everyone is saying that because that is our policy, there's no denying that. Yes we made a serious bid for Del Piero last season but that's one player. Cortese wants the club to reach Europe next and if we signed older players they wouldn't be there for much longer and we'd have to keep injecting money when we could buy a younger player of the same level of standard for more money but in the long run it would be better for the club.

Quality player, tons of experience. We can't just sign youngsters, that will get us nowhere. We need some calm, experienced heads in there. We would get a good 2 maybe 3 years from him. Really hope this one comes off.

I can see us only buying players aged 26 and younger but can see us getting frees of any age up to 33 if they add something to the squad. This guy CL and International experience

Is Jose fonte on his way back to crystal palace?

Controversial perhaps but I would rather we got him than Wanyama. Quality proven player, can play CB and DM, lots of experience that will be priceless to Shaw, JWP etc, not trouble as Wanyama is looking potentially like he might be.
Also he is 32 not 40! We'd get a good 2-3 years from him. And he's free so we'd have 12 mill we can invest elsewhere.
Stumbling blocks? His interest in returning to River Plate? And wages? He may well want these to be outrageous given that there will be no fee! Fingers crossed on this one. Hopefully the Argentinian link will get this one over the line. COYS!

Surely saints are good for Centre Backs now? I'd expect Lovren and either Forren/Yoshida to start next season. Plus there's Fonte and Hooiveld who I wouldn't start but are more than reliable back up.

Let's hope saints just add a few new faces, to many changes may spell disaster players like jack cort and schneiderlin have done so well are their days numbered, certainly someone is going to be unhappy.

07 Jul 2013 19:42:43
Bristol City are set to make a £750,000 bid for Mansfield striker Matt Green.

Green scored 27 goals for Mansfield last season. {Ed034's Note - matt green signed for Birmingham last week

Bit late then!

£750,000? For a player that did not score to many in Division 2? And is now in non league football? Behave.

Get your facts right, Green was out of contract and was over the age for compensation so no fee was required when he signed for Birmingham City on Wednesday. You were nearly right (not). Got any more exclusives?

Wrong BCFC

07 Jul 2013 19:39:55
Warren Feeney to be offered a new contract by Plymouth Argyle after impressing in training, expected to sign new 1 year contract

He may have impressed but will be lucky to score 5 goals this season and will be a bench warmer with morgan and reid likely to be first choice with allesandra either on the wing or behind the strikers

We need to get rid of players like this

No chance likes to be injured and not score goals, dozens better than him out there.

Exactly, I heard chadders was going to kidderminster

Sheridan will not offer him a contract just because of how good he's been in training, he'll wait to see how he performs in the pre-season matches.

Feeney an chadwick couldn't score 10 between them

Feeney gives 110% every time he plays. Must be a nightmare to play against as he is always in there face. I can't believe how people knock him. His goal scoring record for Argyle is no different from Reid and Reid is lay and arrogant.

JS knows Feeny from his days in the north and also from his N/Ireland contacts. When JS took the reigns at Argyle, Feeney was very much part of his plans but got injured in his first game in charge, would not be surprised if he gets the nod, but I think JS will want to check out his overall fitness first.

Feeney couldn't score in a free brothel

Feeney an chadwick both injured now, how conveniant

"Sheridan will not offer him a contract just because of how good he's been in training, he'll wait to see how he performs in the pre-season matches. "

He said himself it depends on whether or not he impresses in TRAINING.

AFC Wimbledon set to get barnet's michel kuipers on a free transfer

Aint he a keeper we don't need another one of those

We already have enough keepers. We also don't really like Kuipers.

07 Jul 2013 18:54:44
Ever Banega appears to be on his way to the south coast as Southampton have agreed a fee with Valencia

Surely we have learnt by now that even if they have agreed a fee it doesn't mean the player will sign!

Where did you dig that up from

07 Jul 2013 18:37:51
Bristol Rovers to secure the signing of James Constable for £20,000.

Oxford could have got £200,000 for him this time last year, but wanted more.

He is due to be announced on Wednesday, with the possibility of JJOT also being announced at the same time.

07 Jul 2013 19:39:24
Boring boring change the record mate

Have you started on the sherbert to early. 20K? No, no and definately no

Why would we want constable? We already have brunt and Harrold for a target man and we still have Richards Clarkson Harrison can play there too this is a load of crap

Someone's had a few too many hash brownies, absolute rubbish, how many times has Ward said he'd targeting a midfielder not a striker

More like no, no, no to Constable! much better out there!

Not True - I also have to question if £20K is perhaps a little too much for a marksman that struggled to get into the Oxford side last season and certainly struggled to find the back of the net!. I think the Gas dodged a bullet missing out on Mr Constable the first time around!.

Well considering constable is in Edinburgh with the oufc squad and playing a match tomorrow, it's very unlikely he'll b announced as a signing on Wednesday!
He struggled to score goals? He scored 14 last season. That's not bad.
And 20k? Try 150k and your b accepted. But beano would not even wanna talk to rovers. Like he didn't want too 12 months ago

Oh dear! It's the silly season again. 20k for a player who has been the clubs top scorer for the past five seasons, and in sides with little or no creativity at that!

Can we stop linking Rovers with anyone but midfielders. Ward's already said that's the only position he's in the market for and he's pleased with the rest of the squad.

Can we stop linking Rovers to players full stop. It is just people trying to make out there know stuff when they don't. Just let whatever is going to happen, Happen.

Constable for 20 grand where you coming from lol.

20k for Constable! I wouldn't take him for free!

07 Jul 2013 18:17:33
Chesterfield will sign their former player janos Kovacs as a fee can't be agreed for Ryan Cresswell

Not likely on Janos however PC and CT will offer Richie Humpreys a deal even though he is 36.
Begs the question about older players and releasing Lester!

Your having a laugh mate. lol

I bet Humpreys gets offered a deal!

It's not as simple as just the age of the players. Wage demands would be an issue, Jack must have been the largest earner at the club. That wage has now been freed up. Humphries can play in a few positions which also helps when you have a small squad. As much as I want Cresswell I would not panic if we don't get him, Hird is a good player. I think it's a wage issue that he is on the transfer list. MM

If Luton don't want him, we certainly don't

Jack was a million miles from top wage earner and offered to take a drop for one more year.
What do you think Richards, Hird and Togwell earn? A lot more than Jack in fact 3 times more.
Anyway he has retired and let's see if Humpreys gets a deal

What's the point of signing someone like Humphreys, we'll probably get a year out of him and then he'll need replacing

I would guess that the point of Humphreys is mainly as cover for Nathan Smith and his dicky ankles whilst also having a reasonably versatile "squad player". Ventress

If he can do a good job for one year only that's fine by me. One year on there will be a bunch of new players out of contract. MM

" What's the point of signing someone like Humphreys, we'll probably get a year out of him and then he'll need replacing"

If only teams were allowed to give out a one year contact.

Apparently Davies from fulham has spotted around priestfield contract has run out at craven cottage

Close friend of his here ( non sportsman), with all due respect to you he wants bigger than little Gillingham and will choose between Watford, Notts forest, Millwall & Barnsley

Marvin sordell to go to fulham or palace

07 Jul 2013 17:56:25
Rochdale to bring in Lennel John-Lewis from Grimsby and Andy Bishop from Bury.

Must be a wind-up as even they wouldn`t be so stupid

08 Jul 2013 03:22:53
As we say in the RN. Yeah,
Cheerz

Done deal, medicals finalised, just tying up loose ends.

You have a top player there in Matty done, don't know what happened with him at barnsley but he's a top player,
Good luck,

Seems it's going to be a waiting game for Ian Hume and his new club this summer.

Both Doncaster & Tranmere have been informed by the players agent that PNE will release Hume before the season starts as they can't afford his wages.

Both clubs have been told to wait until PNE cancel his contract (due to mutual consent) in a few weeks time before both Donny & Tranmere offer him a new 2 year contract as a free agent.

Ha Ha, a deal is done but it nothing like that,!

We will not let him go without a fee fact, that would just be very bad business in TH's part!

Please let us spare a few pounds to get hume back at tranmere he's already said he wants to finnish his career there

07 Jul 2013 20:21:31
tranmere could not afford to pay humes wages

Hume will lower his wage demand to rejoin his beloved tranmere rovers

Seriously flower, you need to look up the words "fact" and "opinion" as you clearly don't know the difference. Hume is free to leave to anyone who wants him, however he is choosing to sit on his contract and run it down.
In my opinion (ie, not a fact) he will be paid up his year's wages before the end of July to allow us to sign two new players within the 60% figures.

Seriously flower, you need to learn how to read as you clearly don't know how

As your comment is just repeating what the 1st post said.

Hume will be paid up by PNE and join another club…. Fact

If PNE can't afford Hume's wages then i'm certain Tranmere can't.

Hume wants a 2 year contract and is willing to accept reduced wages to get out of the club.

PNE will pay a % of his final year contract to get him off the books.

So no matter where he goes he will be on more or less the same wages.

Tranmere is looking like his final destination.

Grayson has also lost out on 2 youth squad members from Liverpool & Man City to Championship clubs in the area.

Obviously PNE can afford his wages because they are currently paying them. They want him off their wage bill because he is paid more than the rest of the squad and with his wage they could pay two new comers.

Hume is on Championship money he will be paid up.

Of course tranmere can't afford his current wages that he is on at pne but once he's paid up tranmere can offer him a contract and he'll probably take it he still comes round brackenwood on the wirral I see him quite often as he still lives local makes sense to stay up north but he's not going to ask out of pne and lose out on money

Hume could be going to Blackpool

Billy Sharp is on his way to Reading. Really disappointed he didn't get more of a chance last season. Apparently we agreed a fee of £1.8m, which isn't bad I suppose.

Reading hope to announce the signing by Wednesday if the remainder of the talks are a formality as expected.

SaintSimo

Is this the best move for Billy? He didn't get much of a chance under NA in the premier league. wasnt it NA that sent him out on loan in the first place? I would love him to stay, give him some games and he will score goals. Jayrod improved after a bit of playing time.

Honestly. Is billy sharp going to lead saints to the top 6 of the premier league?

think about it. this is the right move for him and us.

Where is your evidence? Oh wait you have none! Not reported anywhere except on this site. No papers or credible sources, just fickle fans who are too impatient

Sharpes been released mate {Ed034's Note - no he hasn't, he has been made available for transfer. He is still under contract and will command a fee

To the above post. Saints are set to spend on a big money striker. Sharp would be behind Lambert, Mayuka and JRod already making him 5 th choice. HE'd barely get a game. Decent player, nice guy but best for his career that he moves on.

Top six. stop listening to cortese. you need to walk before you can run.

I'd be happy if we are sixth from bottom. An injury to lambert where are the goals and assists coming from.

I can't see saints signing anyone until they get rid of some of the present players on the payroll. The best investment would be to increase the ground capacity, many fans are just priced out of football.

I can think of 5 members of my family who support saints, hardly ever go to games due to cost, at the moment the groundis almost full every game there will come a day when the club need even poor people money.

Will it end up with sky tv creating a world league for the bigger clubs, leaving the prem. league to fend for itself, I can see it happening especially the way football is growing in the USA.

tottenham are linning up a massive bid for villas christian benteke and may add steven caulker to the offer to try get villa to listen

07 Jul 2013 19:15:36
No chance

Dream on! we don't want to sell benteke nor do we want your players par Bale.

When Villa put the £40m price tag on him, what they were trying to say is HE`S NOT FOR SALE!

Benteke put a transfer request in. As a villa fan and season ticket holder I say we get rid he has shown no loyalty to villa and so get rid asap. We can bring other players in with the money. We should only want people who want to play at our club. Utv

07 Jul 2013 16:05:30
Brad frieldal is a topic of interest between qpr

QPR currently have Julio Cesar, Brazilian number 1 and Rob Green a more than competent goalkeeper at championship level. So why add Friedel? Also the current wage bill is unsustainable for the championship so surely cutting it rather than adding to it would be sensible.

Dont believe everything you read

Jean Yves-M'voto to hold emergency talks with Lee Johnson this week. If no deal is reached, Doncaster will complete the move.

What for he has apparently already signed for Doncaster?

Not true he didn;t even turn up for training but trained with Birmingahm and then went to Donny.

Won;t be re-signing at all and we already have replacements who played against Dinamo Bucharest on Friday night.

Played for donny in a friendly on saturday

07 Jul 2013 15:41:54
Ipswich Town may offer defender Dan Seaborne two-year contract after impressing in pre-season tour of Ireland!

If he's happy to be backup then sign him up as I only see him as mid-table championship defender.

Hmmm might be being unfair seeing as it was the first pre season friendly but I thought he looked pretty crap against Shelbourne. Won't be offered a deal IMHO.

07 Jul 2013 15:39:21
Strange rumour of the day: Paulo Ferreira rumoured to be coming out of brief retirement to join Paul Ince's coaching staff at Blackpool as a coach/player.

If PInce was to pull that one out of the bag I would be impressed but a right back should take priority over a LB/ CH.

Ferreira is well known for his ability to play right or left back with ease. {Ed001's Note - he is a right back! He just covered left back when they were short.}

Paolo Ferreira is a RB, not that he'd ever come to BR but he is a RB.

Latest News: Norwich accept bid for Grant Holy from Wigan (source tv) and Norwich moving closer to sign Ajax defender Alderweireld

Why would Grant Holt want to go to Wigan? They aren't even good and he is still a big influence at Norwich. If Hooper comes in then maybe but not at the moment. I think Alderweireld would be amazing for us, get him in!

Good hope holt gos he won't be needed here, we can move on and have a new hero hopefully one that ain't fat and cheats

What possible appeal is there for Alderweireld to go to Norwich?

Rubbish he's a qpr man

I personally Kno Grant and it is widely known that he wants to move back up North to be near his Family who have moved back to his native Carlisle, which is only like a hour and a half in the Car away from Wigan will he move there Yes I think so

Holt will be going he hasn't gone on pre season tour of Austria, would be good move for everybody involved

Amen to that

Grant Holt is a legend at Norwich some people talk a load of rubbish and I don't think they ever watch a match then they would know what this man has done for NFC

Great day for me Murrey wins tennis and becomes a true Brit and Holt on his way from Norwich

We all knew this was going to happen, it was just when. Holt's pictures were all removed from both the Castle Mall and Chapelfields Club shops back in May!

What on earth is going on we let 10 players go now Holt is off & ruddy might. It's not good signing so many new players they might not gel. We should have just spent money on 5 top quality players

To the guy moaning we let 10 out and should get 5 qualiity in. haven't you been following what's been happening? yes ten ou. more to follow I reckon. But as to CH targets. they are mouth watering. More then one Newcastle fan has praised CH for this summers deals and targets. More then one liverpool fan has complained we are targeting better players then they are. IF CH deals come off they will be awesome. Don't want GH to leave though.

Who says norwich won't spend the money on 5 top quality players and then reinvest in youth?

Ruddy is obviously staying, have to be an person to think otherwise.

Fer coming in - Quality CM

toivonen still possible, if not will get a different quality CAM.

Confirmed Norwich are looking for a Quality CB (Ajax player, won't get him, but gives you an idea. )

and 2 more strikers.

put some clean boxers on, pant wetters.

08 Jul 2013 09:47:13
The 10 let go did not really have much of a part last season so the core of the first team is still in place with high quality additions coming in. IHWT, could be awesome next year. I do think Holt would stay but for family reasons. Vaughan was worth a punt but will get better in I'm sure.

I've got to agree with the guy whose a little pissed about the amount of people we've let go.

You can't let a player of Holt's quality go and not have another striker already a 100% sorted to replace him.

Just cause we're getting linked to these 'mouth watering signings' doesn't mean we will sign them, players change their minds and deals fall through all the time.

Bad move letting Holt go in my opinion, our only proven premier league striker.

Of holts quality haha classic no doubt he has done very well for us no doubt, he's not a prem player maybe 4 years ago but no more why keep a player that's not cutting it jus because you like him, anyway even if he was to say he won't get games

07 Jul 2013 14:40:13
Paul Hines is set to join Bristol rovers after impressing against there arch rivals bristol city in a friendly playing for Ashton & backwell it will be a nominal fee and John ward thinks he has found the next lee trudle a late comer to game but will take league 2 by storm

07 Jul 2013 14:52:06
Deal agreed with Wigan for Grant Holt believed to be in the region of £3 million

If Wigan get Holt he will be amazing for you. This guy is so good

07 Jul 2013 14:43:31
Swansea are interested in Schalke forward Klaas Jan Huntelaar after Bafetimbi Gomis seems to be off to Russia.

Absolute rubbish. He only recently signed a contract extension to 2015 and his club his and the Champions League.

07 Jul 2013 14:09:23
Rotherham United have taken 6ft 4 French forward Cedric Baseya on trial. Baseya as had spells at Southampton and Reading aswell as a loan spell at Barnet.

It genuinely amazes me that there are still people asking where saints get their money from? We have been one of the heaviest financially backed clubs in the country for nearly 5 years now!

Cedric basaya is a striker who has NEVER scored a professional goal in his career. Reading gave him a trial period to show the other strikers exactly what NOT to do in a game haha

Honestly this guy's a joke Reading fc gave him a trial and he was never heard of again

Looked good when he was at barnet but was only ever given 5 or 10 mins here and there

07 Jul 2013 14:07:22
Sheffield Utd will sign Scunthorpe's Mark Duffy.

07 Jul 2013 17:13:24
not a chance is going there unless they have good money and scunny looking at paul heffernan big rumour over heard laws talking to someone about it

Thought he was off to Doncaster rovers

07 Jul 2013 13:59:17
Gillingham look like signing more players, Martin Allen wants to add a couple of new players to the squad before the teams training camp in France.

Three are coming in, John joe O'toole, Andre Grey and Cody Mcdonald will all be unveiled before the team leaves for france. Mcdonald is reported to have been offered a staggering £4500 a week after late interest from an unnamed championship club. He will be the gills highest earner and will wear the no. 10 shirt. Deon Burton had to be replaced with Akinfenwa to accommodate Mcdonald and Lee and Birchall are off too.

When do they go to France

4500 a week, that as much as our top players were receiving in the championship. We would then have McDonald, Kedwell, grey, German and bayo as forwards.

There is absolutely no way we would be able to afford both Cody and Gray especially if were to pay Cody £4500 a week.

Well it is reported the kedwell is on around £5000 a week

5K a week? What a load of rubbish! I'd say a lot nearer £1500

How do you guys get all this reported wages Gills will pay? I know Scally would never leak any wage or transfer details

Kedwell on £5000 a week?! I have no idea what tint of glass you're looking through there! Lee is on roughly £3k a week after dropping down from a Championship (at the time) club. Kedwell being signed from Wimbledon without any experience in the football league?
-
I thought that the squad are heading to France either today or tomorrow?

Reported from where?

M. A intends to loan out Antonio German to gain more experience, Burton was on a high wage and we will need German should one of the four strikers get injured. We will have 2 powerful strikers and 2 fox in the box type players. Scally has backed M. A in the transfer market after the sale of Payne as he feels we are in a realistic position for back to back promotions.

Kedwell is on far less than that, he would have a real range rover instead of the baby one otherwise!

Charlie Lee was on a high wage too!

I heard that Kedwell is on 70,000k a week. Oh wait that was Kewell and a few years ago. He is on max 2000k

No one knows anything. one thing guaranteed about Martin Allen is nobody knows who has been signed until ''Martin's Message'' appears on the official site! Oh, and the players go to Le Touquet tomorrow for 5 days of tough training! The same as last season when Gillingham were by far the fittest squad in the Football League!

Arent they going on the training camp next week. 'Martin Allen says preparations for League One will step up a notch next week when the team travel to Le Touquet for their pre-season training camp. ' posted today on the official site

Going tomorrow. playing Ipswich Town at home next Tuesday

07 Jul 2013 13:46:58
Rotherham United have taken former Southampton and Reading forward Cedric Baseya on trial.

07 Jul 2013 12:47:27
Rumours that there is a young player on trail at shrewsbury from stoke city ment to be a skill full young player? Is this the new goal scorer?

I wouldn't expect too much that's where we got Lewis Neal and Steve Jagielka from.

It's Peter Crouch!

Less of the young strikers please. I am not denying he might be skilful and could become a gem but we need proven experienced strikers who know where the net is

John marsden, been training with the club

07 Jul 2013 19:38:08
is name is james albi am a scout from east yorkshire

James alibi was at Stoke 2years ago then went Celtic for 1 year came back Stoke last year powerful forward

"is name is james albi am a scout from east Yorkshire" try scouting his name a bit more its James Alabi.

Personally I am getting fed up reading so called fans pessimistic comments about the lack of signings. GT along with numerous other managers are taking players on trial with a view to signing which appears to be the normal procedure. I personally think it is a good idea, instead of signing just anybody!
May be have some faith in the manager
, I bet you would brick yourself if given the opportunity. I bet you pessimistic lot will be all fickle at the end of the season and we had reached the play offs. Get a grip and be positive.

Reach the play offs with the current squad? Get real, we are looking at cast offs and non league players, if that makes you feel optimistic then more fool you.

07 Jul 2013 13:18:42
Betting suspended on Holt leaving! Farewell

Betting was suspended on suarez to arsenal. It doesn't mean jack.

07 Jul 2013 16:32:58
It means that no more bets will be taken so don't reply arrogantly to what is 99% going to happen as it normall does when the betting is suspended on a topic see ya grant been a loyal servant to the club but although you showed flashes last season never reached the heights we knew you could

07 Jul 2013 13:14:35
Here McManus will be training with Hibernian when we are in Spain.

07 Jul 2013 13:13:45
Grant Holt set for a move to Wigan Athletic. ting have stopped taking money

07 Jul 2013 13:10:48
James McFadden will come back to Motherwell. I have heard the 2 directors who funded him last term have agreed to do this again. Hope so.

07 Jul 2013 13:07:32
They say McFadden will not travel to Spain? Why are we last to know. He would be a huge signing. Like your text, I had heard he would sign.

Heard he's in talks with Sheffield united

07 Jul 2013 12:52:38
Nick Blackman going to Sheffield united from Reading on loan view perm transfer next summer.

Why would sheff you take him on loan when they already know how good he is?

My prayers are answered! The biggest waste of £1.5m I ever saw in a Reading shirt. Just give us a cheque for 50k he's worth no more than that.

It's true for a loan but no not a permanent move

Adkins will ship him out in due course, everyone can see how terrible he is

I Really do think Reading fans are vastly underrating blackman.

I do believe you lot will be eating your words come end of 2013/2014 season when bangs in 15-20 goals I really do.

Haha not gunna lie, when I heard we got over a million for him I was on the floor with laughter, has potential but needs a lot of work, bet Mccabe danced all the way too the bank after he picked himself up of the floor

07 Jul 2013 12:36:46
Southampton have made a £20 million bid for Leandro Damiao

That was days ago.

I thought they had made an offer a while ago.

Where are they getting all this money from?

Owners and the expensive sale of some talents like Chamberlain. This is old news however. It did appear as though Southampton have reached an agreement with his club but not personal terms yet. He and his agent are set to meet Southampton's representatives to discuss personal terms.

I genuinely amazes me

How many times! Billionaire owners, loads of tv money and the sale of Ox to Arsenal you ill informed person

We've never beenshort of money since the Liebbers took over years ago.

Owned by the Liebherr family who are worth over £7 bn

Billionaire owner's hello!

Are you insane

A simple question by someone who doesn't know anything about soton and its met with sarcasm and ridicule, any wonder soton fans are so hated

Loaded mate

Are we hated then?

Sorry but it's not a simple question. It has been the same for years now.

How is repeating the same answer we have been repeating for years classed as sarcasm and ridicule? Wouldn't you be sick of saying the same thing again and again?

To extrapolate this to all saints fans are hated is incredibly juvenile.

07 Jul 2013 18:11:27
The reason a lot of Southampton fans react that way is they are tired of being dictated to by teams that are living in the past. They are a very talented football club from chairman to academy staff. Saints are no longer a selling club, they will now keep hold of young talent buy in inspirational players and progress. Southampton football club is now a project to prove, with an excellent academy and using your income wisely a football team can charge up the league from league one to top 6 in the premier league within 5 years. This is year 4 Keep your eye on Southampton football club.

Simple question? Or ignorant one? If you know so little about Southampton FC and football in general then why comment on a page dedicated to their transfer movements? I know nothing about post modern architecture. So I wouldn't ask dull headed questions on a forum related to it!

Sorry to be pedantic but Southampton have no money! The owners DO but not the club. if the owners pulled out tomorrow then where would you be!

And Saints are unique are they in having billionaire owners? Chelsea, Man City etc. couldn't suffer a similar fete then?

Sitting fine with the money from the league and the money invested in the club which can't be withdrawn due to the fact some was left in Markus' will.

Napoli have overtaken saints in the running now, bit of a shame

He is off to napoli anyway!

So a bit like almost every premiership club then. because Chelsea et al wouldn't sink if their billionaire owners jumped ship.
It's not a pedantic statement, it's a ridiculous one.

With the present parachute money as long as the wage bill is under £20 million a club is safe. The only person who won't drop wages if we go down would be cortese.

As a Southampton season ticket holder I am sick of hearing how wealthy the club is. Still cost more than many clubs for a ticket.

No longer a selling club, every player has his price. Why was chamberlain sold, becacause he wanted to leave.

07 Jul 2013 12:32:03
Bony to join Swansea within 24 hours.

Fee £12m and addons rising to £13.8m.

Well worth it good signing.

07 Jul 2013 12:22:56
Heard that Bradford are going to sign an unnamed player from part of the RIASA project run by ex City winger Mark Ellis. The same project brought Nahki Wells to VP and Bradford are set to utilise the scheme again to find another gem.

Nahki Wells was at Carlisle first before Bradford so they can't say Bradford found him

Deemed not good enough by Carlisle that must hurt

Actually Bradford City did find him through the RIASA project a few years ago but opted not to sign him and then he was recommended to Carlisle. Then he was released and came to Bradford City as Peter Jackson liked the look of him.

He went onto the RIASA project after Carlisle didn't think he was up to it (what a mistake that was by the way) so he did come to City via the RIASA project. CTID

He was in fact given the chance at Bradford first, obviously with Mark Ellis being associated with the club but they chose not to offer him a trial. Carlisle did, obviously with Mark Ellis being good mates with Greg Abbott. 2nd game of the season I reckon he will prove carlisle wrong by bagging a hat trick

Yeah Nahki was a product of RIASA.
Mark Ellis and Dave Baldwin playing a big part of it.
Bradford turned him down first before Carlisle managed by former City player Greg Abbott took him on before releasing him.

07 Jul 2013 12:20:33
Bradford City are taking rookie right back Jon Kavanagh on trial, Kavanagh will meet up with Bradford on their pre season tour of Ireland.

07 Jul 2013 12:19:32
Southend United manager Phil Brown is close to signing free agent Zavon Hines, following his release from Bradford

Phil has been busy, also his life-long football friend Ian Ashbee is joining the coaching staff with contract to be finalized early this next week.

I would be very surprised to see Hines end up at Southend. Another League One club surely

Why? He has talent but is an extremely inconsistent player.

No truth in either the Hines or Ashbee signings

07 Jul 2013 12:00:42
Christian Eriksen to sign for Liverpool

Funny that, he just signed for Dortmund a matter of weeks ago!

Na no way mate keep dreaming

07 Jul 2013 19:13:14
Signed for dortmound? Wrong just wrong, try again

Whether Eriksen will or will not join Liverpool. I can tell you that he is still at Ajax

07 Jul 2013 11:46:52
Dan Gosling and Quincy Owusu-abeyie will both sign for Crystal Palace in the next few days with deals almost agreed for both

Big Haz

10 Jul 2013 12:31:50
goslins been played down by SP and quancy was a made up twitter rumour.

07 Jul 2013 11:31:34
Preston, Coventry and Swindon are all looking to sign Watford LB Carl Dickinson. Would be avaliable for a small fee.

07 Jul 2013 12:07:38
preston need a left back we prob have the best two in the league in buchs and lairdy

No PNE are not after him and that;s 100%

If there is a fee involved, the PNE will not be interested

Can't se this's being Swindon as they have many fullbacks already

Great to see the PNE Chairman commenting, who are you after?

Good player but I doubt we will sign him as we have Byrne, Barthram & mceverley who can play at left back.

I thought he was off to Derby, as Nigel Clough had done everything but got him to sign the contract.

It doesn't matter if you already have a LB. He might be better than you've already got. It's called improvement.

That was Craig Forsyth that went to Derby, not Carl Dickinson

"Would be avaliable for a small fee" = we are prepared to give you a little money to take him off our hands. Please.

Rubbish player. Played onloan at Cov last season and is a liability. Got a lousy temper on him aswell

07 Jul 2013 11:23:05
West Brom to make loan offers for Scott Sinclair and Demba Ba.

Alvaro Morata is a target if they fail to land Demba Ba.

Hopefully

Not likely mate .

Yes likely

Thought Ba was off to Russia!

Its likely that they will make offers but its whether the players are interested in signing for us

Yes plrase. would be 2 good signings. I am not convinced with anelka though. 10 years ago masybe

10 years ago? he got the golden boot only 4 years ago

10 years ago we wouldn't of had a chance of getting anelka

10yrs ago MAYBE. Like he'd be intrested in us then.

07 Jul 2013 11:19:29
Walsall are showing intent from losing star players Jamie Paterson, Will Grigg and Febien Brandy by chasing the signings of Bradley Wright Phillips and Emile Sinclair. Wright - Phillips is already said to be in talks.

Brandy went ages ago

Lee Croft to join W. F. C

Croft denied by DS

07 Jul 2013 11:14:45
Rumour from bleeding Tom mills the laughing gob. I've been informed that Middlesbrough are going to make a bid for liverpool's Jay spearing. Heard it from a coach at the club; cannot name the lad

Isnt he at bolton

He was only on loan at bolton

He was on, why on loan, and I heard this from inside the club aswell.

He was on loan last season at bolton. he would be a good signing but we seem to have a lot of midfielders already don't we?

I would like him at boro but we have far too many midfielders

We don't have far too many midfielders we have spaces from -bailey-Thompson-arca/lb/lm-dyer/rm/rw-mceachran and we've only brought 2 in and we also need cover in each department

Would like graham and juke up front with carayol and Adomah on wings and leadbitter and whitehead centre :-):-)

Where are these new signings season starts in just over 3 weeks we need at least 5 new players

We have plenty of cm's leadbitter, whitehead varga, Smallwood, Haroun, that's without mentioning the academy prospects. They're all fighting for 2/3 places. Concentrate on a right winger and a striker.

Ok mate but who's going to concentrate on defence while wer attacking?? We need a good defence before anything pal! Although I totally agree re;strikers/winger needed!

Agree we conceded far 2 many. Maybe mogga's thinking of playing varga rb spose they'll av a look at him there pre season I heard he plays there for country

We do NOT need a right winger i'm sick of reading that, we have reach and ledesma who were both great last year, we need a centre back and a striker

Rhys Williams also plays RB for his country, but I wouldn't try him there. Hoyte is fine at RB, with Varga competing for a place in the middle.

Ledesma great last year? Don't think that's the case!

Ledesma was quality is patches last season hopefully he can produce it more consistently this season now he knows what the championship is all about i'd still love to see adomah come in

Wouldn't we all mate but be realistic (never going to happen)

07 Jul 2013 11:05:41
Crystal Palace, Charlton Athletic and Watford are all interested in a season loan deal for Manchester City's central defender, Karim Rekik, 18, whom wishes to get more first team action.

Unlikely at watford. We already have Doyley, Ekstrand, Cassetti, Angella, Hoban, Nosworthy, Faraoni, Pudil and Reece Brown on trial.

Can't be true -Ian Hollowhead doesn't like player loans, especially if they're not young and English.

Or is that only when other teams have them?

Watford not interested as they have better available from the Pozzo player pool. Angella just signed 5 year contract and with Ekstrand, Hoban, Nosworthy, Cassetti, Doyley and others on the books an 18 year old rookie is not required

He was awful at blackburn

We have ben hamer who is a championship gk why do we want him

Doubt if Charlton will want a 18yr old CB as we have Morrison, Cort, Dervite and Wood on trial from Coventry plus the Development squad has Feely, Ajay & Osbourne. We do not need any more centre backs

What has having Hamer got to do with signing a centre back?

07 Jul 2013 18:47:11
The guy is right.
Hamer is better than most centre backs loo

Trolol who's ben hamer. Surely the best keeper is leicesters schemichal (this is coming from a watford fan)

Schmeichel, Butland or Kuszczack.

Schmeichel, Kuschak or Butland? What league were you watching last year?

Id add almunia to that and you got the best 4

Yh fair enough, Almunia is decent, just losing a bit of his agility is all.

07 Jul 2013 10:21:48
Dean Parrett, John Bostock, David Bell and Danny Haynes all to sign for Notts this week

Danny Haynes still at Millwall trying to earn a contract--fact

David bell is staying at coventry and john bostock is going to swindon. but I know that dean parrett will be signing

07 Jul 2013 10:11:22
Bradley Wright-Phillios to be confirmed as Walsall Fc player next week. Reliable source.

It could well be looking that way from what I am hearing.

Hope it's true - would be good addition to the squad

If this source is true it will be a great signing

Really hope this is true just can't see it happening brentford are the more likely suitors if his trial with red bulls is unsuccessful

Hope we get him, consolation is grigg being slapped with reality and warming brentfords bench for 3 years. win win really :D

Yeah the same so called reliable source that said we would sign Wagstaff who is signing for Bristol City

07 Jul 2013 10:49:12
Gavin Mahon set to sign for Stevenage from Notts County on a loan. He impressed Westley last season and with Grant departing to Crewe, Mahon is the main man to anchor the midfield.

He only played under smith and Wesley dropped him almost as soon as he returned

He is out of contract

Would love to have him back but surprised if it does happen. Up the boro

07 Jul 2013 10:46:01
Jake Cassidy set to sign for the Boro on loan. Cassidy was on loan at Tranmere last season until Christmas and was league top scorer.

He plays for wolves, so why would they loan him to a better team a league above? If this was going to happen, it would be to buy

Maybe the guy meant stevanage, not the real boro

Dwight Gayle was loaned to Peterbrough from Dag & Red last year. not unheard of

07 Jul 2013 10:38:26
trialists ibrahim diaby, caleb folan, charles dunne, nick blackman, rob edwards and emmit delfouneso are hoping to earn a contract with blackpool after playing 45 mins at penrith on saturday.

You sure it's Nick Blackman? He only signed for Reading in Jan so why would he be on trial trying to get a contract at Blackpool? {Ed003's Note - its Andre Blackman}

I can confirm it is Andre Blackman, not Nick Blackman on trial. {Ed003's Note - i did that lol}

07 Jul 2013 10:10:10
I can confirm that two reliable sources have confirmed that Billy Sharp is indeed in talks with Reading and set to complete his move next week.

The guys I'm relying on here are proven reliable and I've known them for several years.

This almost certainly guarantees Pavel Pogrebnyak is leaving, which we expect anyway as he has a minimum fee relegation release clause and wants to stay in the Premier League. I've got no idea how much that is but we suspect it's around £2.5m-£3m.

He's available for free! His wages alone are enough not to mention the fact he was a free for us

07 Jul 2013 10:06:52
All Cardiff Fans panicking about Malky not signing defenders, don't worry there are 3 on their way, 2 of which are putting pen to paper by Wednesday:
Jack Hunt - Huddersfield
Wes Morgan - Leicester
Benjamin Mendy - Le Havre

Watch this space!

I'm a cardiff fan and wes ain't going nowhere I wouldn't want him he terrible

Morgan is int aloud leave Leicester unless there's a huge offer so I can't see Cardiff Pay 5 M for a 29 year old who playes championship football for Leicester

Hunt is a no unless £3mil price tag is met.
Leicester have said Wes Morgan not for sale so will only get done if he forces a move.
Mendy sounds perfectly possible.

Mendy is going to Sunderland mate and Wes Morgan is no premiership centre half turner and Hudson are both better, bit of a spoof if I ever heard it

Cardiff need a mobile ball playing centre half badly but Morgan going back to forrest

07 Jul 2013 11:35:35
If those are you defensive signings I'd still worry. Not good enough.

Hunt will be in Spain with the team next week

Have hunt he's useless at defending. Also danns signing for hudds tomoz two yesr contrsct.

07 Jul 2013 18:31:14
Huddersfield are just about there with a deal for Adam le Fondre.

Hunt is a shocking defender, great attacking full back but Callum McManaman turned him inside out on more than one occasion in FA Cup last year and a few others always catch him napping. In saying this, he could improve and think he always attempts to.

Hunt will be able to call Cardiff fans 'Helmets' then!

ALF to udders, that's funny, lol, couldn't even afford his boots {Ed029's Note - After season Le Fondre had last season, he wont go anywhere for anything less than £4-5m.

07 Jul 2013 10:05:28
Huddersfield Town are looking to bring in Matt Derbyshire from Nottingham Forest to complete their forward line

I honestly don't think so, I think there are better players out there for cheaper money.

What a surprise?

What happened to Simeon Jackson? Had he actually signed for Bournemouth? Seems a step backwards.

Hudds final striker target is James Collins, the Swindon no. 9. No interest in Derbyshire as far as known, doubt he'd leave forest for us anyway

15 goals in the last 7 years, just what we expect from our strikers!

Relegation it is then

I like the sound of signing/ trying to sign Collins. he from what I have seen seems like a very good alround centre forward, would work well with jv

I hope that is true, I liked danns, lotf of hard work quality and can play a few positions. had potential to play alongside the other midfielders gives town options.

Collins no better than Jimmy Spencer, can't see any legs in this rumour.
.

07 Jul 2013 09:43:53
Middlesborough interested in Daniel Ayala from Norwich as they look to improve their defence.

07 Jul 2013 09:42:33
Hi

Forest fan living in Reading. My work had a conference at the Madejski Millenium Hotel yesterday and when we left at 4pm I'm 99% sure I saw Billy Sharp sat with two suits.

If that was him then I can only hope we (Forest) put together a better offer because we need him next season if we want to get a top six finish!

Matthew P. R

Perhaps he was delivering for a dry cleaning company as a close season earner.

07 Jul 2013 12:11:45
Billy boy isn't going to bring him here, Its a shame because Sharp would sign for us tomorrow.
I just hope he doesn't decide to make do with what we have or bring in dross!
Starting to doubt all this money talk, seriously thinking that there isn't going to be big money signings.
Freezes and cheapies.

100% no chance it was him no way

07 Jul 2013 09:09:26
Cody Mcdonald to undergo medical at Gillingham monday morning and Martin Allen is keen to add another creative midfielder to the ranks with the departure of Charlie Lee to Southend, however it won't be a marque signing as Mcdonald commands a high wage. Rotherham, s Michael O'conner is being targeted as is John joe O'toole.

Not a chance in hell of getting Michael o'Connor from Rotherham.

07 Jul 2013 10:05:39
Haha if you have around 2 million that might land you o conner. Best player for ua last season not a can in hells chance of getting him!

Pretty certain one of the main reasons rotherham managed to sign O'Connor is because his family is settled up norjth and young kids are in school so no chance of him moving to a team down south

That aside being a gillingham supporter why would a player go from Rotherham to us, when we are in the same league. People do post rubbish

Really Michael O'Connor to Gillingham? that's false as he has said he is happy at Rotherham and has said the team are pushing for a 2nd promotion

I wouldn't be surprised if one of our midfielders did leave especially if we were to receive a very good offer from a higher league. Not so sure Gillingham have the money to tempt us of or are in a better division to tempt the player. He's obviously talented and I'm sure could easily play Championship standard.

Tbh it may not be rubbish, Gills may be targeting him but that doesn't mean he will be signed as like they stated above family is settled, and he's happy at Rotherham! So yes they won't sign him but Allen could always be interested

If we move a midfielder on trust me it won't be O'connor. It will be Noble who will go if anyone. O'connor was vital last season and has League 1 experience.

08 Jul 2013 19:39:21
John-Joe o'toole wants to go to Bristol rovers again to team up with john ward.

O'toole rejected Bristol and doesn't want to move far so southend are more likely to sign him than Gillingham.

07 Jul 2013 08:55:00
Aaron McLean wil this week sign for Peterborough United for a second spell with the L1 club.

This signing does go against Posh's young and hungry transfer policy but Darren Ferguson feels that Mcleans' experience will be vital with the young and promising strikers currently at the club.

Doubt this. when fergie got asked about his transfer in january, he said no, so I doubt he's changed his mind

Aaron could do a job at league one level so wouldn't mind seeing him in a Posh shirt again. However, I'm sure Darren will be thinking long term, young and hungry.

That's why he is in Yeovil at the moment

Aaron isn't the player we used to have anymore. Declined significantly as a footballer in the 2 and a half years he's been away.

As much as I like the bloke, he's not for us anymore

Yeah mclean was great for posh before i'd love to see him back he would be great replacement for gayle.
but unfortunately don't think he will come back

He hasn't had a game because there has been a quality striker before him in the team called fryat also if you support posh you would remember the volley at london road

I'd love him back on a free just for a year. He'd have to cut his wages though

Barnsley show interest in recently released town players Alan lees and Connor lofthouse

Alan Lees. next joke, Huddersfield reject I don't think so

Give up, Alan Lee isn't good enough for the Championship anymore. League 2 player at best now. No chance of him coming to Barnsley

I would have Alan Lee at Barnsley purely for scoring that goal for Ipswich a few years ago which effectively sent Leeds down. legend!

Millwall, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and Crawley are batting it out to sign Peterborough striker Tyrone Barnett.

PLEASE 'NO'! There must be someone else SL?

Anyone, please take him!

Those poor poor clubs. Ironic really since Barnett has never battled for anything

No thanks from Oakwell mate

He's a striker whose forgotten how to score

What ever team he goes to stick him in goal he will save more than he scores :D

Ben

Crawley no ta

Millwall won't be paying the inflated price quoted by other subscribers to this site.

Crawley yeh pleeze. just remember Crawley v Cheltenham 2012. Class and you don't lose class

No inflated price for Barnett don't worry about that. League 1 player at very best

I don't rate him.
The last striker Donny got from Peterbro (Sinclair) was just as bad.

Sinclair was poor but when he scored he made hia own goals unlike barnet who can only be set up

Barnett can head the ball in both boxes. Aside from that he contributes nothing to the team

From Barnsley. No!!!

Barry Fry said tonight a championship club is close to signing him for "over a million". Great news for posh

If we signed him I recon mellon scott and flitcroft could turn him around look at players we have already turned around in past

We won't pay a million for this lad carnt be us who's bid for him

Barnsley spend £1m? LOL. Not us, it's Blackpool.

Walsall are set to sign Peterborough striker Emile Sinclair.

07 Jul 2013 07:35:23
Norwich are after Belgium ace Tony Alderweird.

Why wot has he done

07 Jul 2013 15:10:38
Would sign for a much bigger club.

Alderweireld's in advanced discussions with Beyer 04 Leverkusen- according to his dad who is reported as confirming these talks in a Belgian Newspaper nearly three weeks ago.

However no deal has been announced yet.

The Norwich story might just be leverage on Leverkusen or it could be that talks with the German club have stalled and Norwich have a genuine chance of doing a deal.

Ajax have replacements lined up at the club and look likely to sell. The advantage at Norwich would be that he'd be first choice alongside Bassong.

He'd be in the 8m transfer range and is rumoured to have been a prior target of Liverpool and Man United (it is possible we could get him for less as he's well into his contract).

Young CB with good aerial abilities and even stronger passing skills. Can also play right back too.

07 Jul 2013 07:09:40
Millwall looking at Kevin davies as are Sheffield Wednesday among others

Not on Steve Lomas's radar and he was useless when he was on loan 10 years ago

Sky say different not that means anything

I don't see Kevin Davies signing for Millwall.

Kevin Davies signed 2 year deal with Preston.

This week there will be an announcement of Brighton's first true summer signing, swiftly followed by another later in the week.

Deolofeu from Barca B on loan for one year, and Nathan Ake from Chelsea, also on loan for one year. Not sure which will be announced first, but both are happening. From a good source in Legal at the Amex.

Cool!

Cant see Deolofeu coming as Everton Tottenham Arsenal all want him as well

Deulofeu will go to Everton.

07 Jul 2013 15:11:49
Both players are well above Brightons quality

Brighton looking into the signing of Jermaine Beckford as well as Deulofeu from Barcelona b

Brighton no money - 20 mill on new training ground 115 mill on stadium and 20 mill spent on players in the last 3 years and the 5th lowest wage total in the championship - Oscar Garcia has been given 30 million including wages to spend on bringing his new style of attacking football to the club. And if bridcutt were to leave brighton it would be to a prem team and for 5 mill plus. Lua lua will join Turkish side for 2 million and as for all the brighton haters stop making us sound bad to comfort your own teams being worse

There is no way on this earth that Brighton have spent £20 million over the past 3 years on players. No way. If we've ever signed players, it's been on free's or for a low fee, apart from Mackail-Smith for 2. 5 and Ulloa for £2. 5. As for Brighton getting £30 million for this season, rubbish, from the amount of money spent on the stadium and training ground, I'd be surprised if Brighton had £5 million.

Brighton do have no money for players and Financial Fair Play is coming. They actually have one of the highest wage bills in the Championship and this was the main reason why they lost £8m last year. They have to cut the wage bill to hit FFP which was one reason why they lost out on Bridge to Reading as they couldn't match his wage requirements. This is also the reason why Vicente was let go and why they are looking at shaking off Lopez. This was why they took Poyet to the wire to save the £2m pay out that they don't have as everything is on the ground and the training pitch. Expect loans or buys to come from the proceeds of the Bridcutt sale. Garcia has been brought in because of his loan contacts and his ability to get a team playing. BHA have tried to buy their way out of this division and now they will have to play their way out as will all the other silly teams that tried to buy the Championship like Leicester. A mid-table finish this year would be good for Brighton.

You seriously don't expect this Barcelona B player to come on loan to us do you? If teams like Spurs, Everton and Arsenal want him, he's not going to join Albion on loan. Get serious.

Brighton are not in financial trouble and only spend 65% of their turnover on wages. Nearly all other sides are spending 100% so get your facts right.

I can see most of these rants being reasonably true but please don't forget that Brightons attendance was the biggest by far in the league (even giving a few prem clubs a run for their money) last season and set to be even bigger this season with most seats already sold which must help our budget a lot

This Deulofeu I have heard that he wants LOTS of first team action and wants to be the first name on the squad list and he has suggested that he won't get that at ANY of the prem clubs looking at him

07 Jul 2013 02:54:17
In addition to Lewin Nyatanga, Marcos Painter, Kieffer Moore and Seth Nana Omuri-Twumasi, Yeovil also have Simon Ferry, Aaron Akuruka, Angus MacDonald and Junior Konadu-Yiadom on trial as Gary looks to bolster his squad ahead of the clubs first season of Championship football.

08 Jul 2013 19:42:30
Sign Junior Konadu-Yiadom before someone else gets him. looks like he can quickly become a fans favorite.
looks very skillfull and a showboater.

A heard that we are offering 8 million plus either McLean or graham for wanyama can anyone shed any light on this really hope we sign this player I watch celtic a lot because of dad and uncle big celtic fans and think this guy is real quality plus would love to see us go for joe Ledley from celtic aswell what use think?

Sounds good to me be even nicer to get both players away and bring him in

I assume you are a Sunderland fan. Joe Ledley is probably too slow for the premiership but it is likely that Wanyama could be a good signing but not sure about the reported £12million

12 mills a snip ya tight gets. the celtic connection!

07 Jul 2013 13:07:56
If jordan henderson was worth 20 mill then wanyama is worth 30 easy he's so much better than hendo

Joe ledley too slow? hmm charlie adam couldn't tie joes boots do you see where i'm going with this

07 Jul 2013 01:08:23
Scunthorpe will sign ettiene esajas some time next week

07 Jul 2013 00:14:46
Huddersfield town to announce the signing off a unnamed central midfielder from the premier by the earliest of Tuesday mark robins is also interested in a young right back from Coventry but there will be tough competition from other championship

Nick Powell would be good!

I wonder who this is, does anyone know? is so shed some light please.

If he hasn't got a name will he have a '?' on his shirt?.

I aggree Powell would be good but think he will be going to a bigger club tbh

Apparently the midfielder is Lee Tomlin, so not Premier league but would still be good. Source : Sunday people

Tomlin is a winger slash striker you person

A winger is a midfielder

Nick Powell according to Huddersfield Examiner with Wigan trying to muscle in. Come to the Terriers Nick and be worshiped like Vaughan, don't go and play for that nasty Coyle bloke.

Bannon from Villa

Tomlin please.

From a Posh Fan, Tomlin is an attacking central midfielder/Striker. Winger really who said that lol

Carlton cole to reject a crystal palace deal in favour of hull as Charlie Austins deal has fallen through

Hull can have Cole with all my blessing as a Palace Fan

Really hope this is true. Don't want him at Palace. Not good enough & don't score many goals.

According to tv this morning, the austin deal is close to being completed, whilst cole is on the verge of joining palace. I doubt bruce would want cole anyway, as he would probably be there to pick up the money

Can't see Carlton cole moving to the frozen north ( have you ever been to hull in the winter ) {Ed003's Note - i know all of a couple of degrees diffrrent to the south lol}

With most of the top championship players snapped up, I wish palace would throw everything at getting Matt Phillips from blackpool. Top quality

Austin having medical in hull in the next 2 days

Just hope if gosling signs hollerway can get the best out of him.

So many of the players available seem to be injury prone.

If I was hull city I would stop going for championship players an start looking at premiership players or they will be going down

Palace can have him I is rubbish

I truly hope we don't get him, he's just awful.

Austin has vast potential for the prem. the championship is probably harder to be prolific in than the premier league in some respects. if we can get him to shed some weight and come back an even fitter player next season I can see 12+ goal striker

The only reason why we are going for championship players, is because the prem players have no ambition. also, half of the players we've signed have prem experience anyway.

Hull city have premiership players OK then tell that to reading they had so called premier players that got them up out the ccc an look were it go them?

So there we go a hull city fan sayin that hull city are shopping in the ccc for players good luck to hull city down you are coming

Please tell me why you are comparing hull with reading? we are NOTHING a like to reading {Ed029's Note - To be fair, in the sense that you're signing a lot of top end Championship players you are. Bruce is better equipped as a manager to keep you up than McDermott was though. He was all over the place and alienated the players with his tactics/decisions.

Fair enough we are doing similar than reading but just because of that people assume we will end up like reading that's what i'm getting at its 2 completely different teams set ups

I am not a hull city fan {Ed029's Note - Your posting history suggests you are ;)

Don't support no team just like football {Ed029's Note - Fair enough. Strange you wouldn't have Zamora at Hull to even cut the grass tho.. ;)

Having worked at arsenal myself before my former work colleague has told me that arsenal are in talks with Real Madrid and things are going well between them and the player but its the fee that has not been agreed. Real want 25 million plus add ons however arsenal want him for 22.5 million. Again may I stress that the talks are ongoing and are at a very early stage so anything could change from here on in but for now the deal should be done in what looks like a week and a bit.

Would help if you actually named the player.

I'd use common sense and imagine its with reference Higuain

07 Jul 2013 00:05:20
Martinez feels like he shouldn't rob his former club of all there defenders due to alcaraz looking to move to Everton with Martinez and Figueroa and Lopez leaving due to their contracts expiring. So Martinez has rumoured to offer sort after and experienced full back tony hibert, who Coyle has remarked as one of the most experienced and best full backs in the premier league and would fit into his reforming of the latics.

Wrong latics oafc the original latics

07 Jul 2013 12:33:18
Wud be good signing won't happen tbh I want us sign wisdom on loan from liverpool anyway we don't need another full as we got boyce and perch

07 Jul 2013 00:04:35
Wanyama in advanced talks with Southampton and it look likely they will seal a new deal with Luke shaw

Hope he goes to Everton, could be a waste of money

Agree mate, hope he ends up at Everton, pretty plain he doesn't really want to be a Saint with the way he's been messing us about.

But then he could be an inspired signing. I hope he comes to us but am sick and tired of it all now

Yes because a young player who's had Champions League experience is going to be a waste. Comment above learn some facts before you judge players.

Waste of money? Are you alright?

Yeah who says he'll be good in the premier league? Remember Delgado?

He COULD be a waste of money?! What a ridiculous comment. I have little doubt that whatever team he goes to, he will be successful. He needs some work but looks like he could be a massive asset. I would be happy to have him at saints.

But. This is getting to drag on to stupid levels now.

We'll judge who and what we want to, like you do.

It isn't the player holding the transfer up. He will be an incredible asset for Saints, should he go. You'll probably get a few years out of him before he moves onto bigger things. Unless you's continue to show the promise that you's appear to be doing this transfer window.

Yes could MATE as we don't know if he will cut it in the premier league. Wakey wakey he's been playing in a Micky mouse league!

Wakey Wakey he is amazing lol

Scott Parker set to be sold. West ham and Cardiff the front runners

He will be a qpr player by Wednesday

Parker would be a great buy if he can stay fit, would love Huddleston at ccs

Cardiff need a Parker. Think he will stay in London though.

07 Jul 2013 00:00:46
Julio cesar is set to be sold this summer as qpr look to free up their expensive wage bill. Both arsenal and Chelsea are on alert however arsenal are looked upon as the favourite to sight the Brazilian goalkeeper

Napoli

Middlesbrough hoping to sign ex-defender David Wheater from Bolton. The former League Cup winner has had an injury-struck career at Bolton and said he is hopefully going to get rid of his bad omens with a move - SGMFT

Wheater has never won the league cup, he was 15 when boro won it in 2004!

He was 17 ya mean.

He was 17

Same diff was t in the squad when it was won!

He was 17 ya doyle

Won the Youth Cup in 04!

Deal agreed with Reading and Wolves over the
transfer of troublemaker Leigh Griffths for £3million.

It is now over to Leigh to sign a contract. {Ed029's Note - What about Leonardo Ulloa from Brighton, and Guthrie to Villa..?

Ulloa from Brighton to Reading? Not a chance in hell. Ulloa just played in Brightons first pre season warm up game at Whitehawk. Hardly a sign of a pending move to Reading. LOL. {Ed029's Note - Ageeed. No interest official either.

They went out with the rest of bull rumours, Ed.

Who! never heard of the guy. we are unlikely to pay 3 million for any wolves player

Ed, there is absolutely NO CHANCE Ulloa will go to reading. He has just pretty much just signed for us (FOUR years left on contract!) for christ's sake! {Ed029's Note - I couldn't agree more. Please read the full history of the topic. Cheers

^oh fair enough ed

Ulloa from Brighton to Reading? Not a chance in hell. Ulloa just played in Brightons first pre season warm up game at Whitehawk. Hardly a sign of a pending move to Reading. LOL. {Ed029's Note - Ageeed. No interest official either.

I know Ed was on a whined up on this but love the Brighton fans responses. Obviously worried he will leave!

Since when has playing in a pre season game or the fact he still has a few seasons on a contract ever mean a player can't be brought? Stupid responses

Griffo is going nowhere this season
