I said about ten days ago that sol campbell would sign for Newcastle and he did, and i also said Ben Arfa wouldnt, and he wont, because he will be joining Hoffenheim. Newcastles offer isn't good enough because Mike Ashley is a fat wker who is too tight to spend any of the £60 million they got from promotion.
Expect another free signing who will be average at best and a reject striker that no one else wants

Well I have posted facts and yet again you have failed to post them.
Remind me, is this a site to post FACTS or RUMOURS? I would hedge my bets that (definitely in Belgium) that I have VERY GOOD SOURCES (I will give you Defour's email address if you want). Chatelle (Anderelcht midfielder) is on his way for example.
On some I have even NAMED MY SOURCE (Cedric Berthelin for example).
Congrats, you have just lost a follower.
MESSI for Celtic my mate's brother's cousin once cut his hair in primary school; Aguero for Liverpool (I know it as fact that he likes the colour red my auntie's brother's sister's cousin said this)and Rangers' are signing XYZ..XYZ..because my brother is a vicar. GET REAL. email me I will provide my sources if needed. BUT NO they don't involve Liverpool/Celtic or Rangers without whom this site would not exist.

GOODBYE

PS please email me exactly who are your "contacts" I have exclusive information from Milan thanks to Onyewu (again part of my Belgium contacts). {editor's note – what are you talking about? Your rumours were posted. Just because you didn't see them doesn't mean they didn't get posted, but I remember you talking about Berthelin.}(7)(11)

Also Walter Smith expect to have a MINIMUM 3 new players by he end of the month and the Jelavic deal won't cripple the transfer budget. 2 loan signing coming from man u and maybe eagles from burnley( change of heart) If bougherra goes expect at least 6 signings.

A little of the SPL rumours:

Rangers:

Rapid Vienna holding off on Jelavic, some papers are reporting they want 500k on top of their asking fee of £4M but as far as I'm aware they want 500k on top of the £3.5M we offered. I'm hopeful this can be sorted. (If they don't offer Welcome a deal then I reckon that 500k will go towards Jelavic).

Benalounne has been made available for 800k. Anyone else worried that this might prompt the light blues to cash in on Bougherra and use the money for Jelavic + Benalounne?

Aberdeen:

McGhee has his heart set on left back Grant Basey & is determined to free up some money to allow him to do so.

James Collins of Aston Villa is also a loan target of McGhee.

Celtic:

It's being reported that Neil Lennon wants GK Anders Lindergards, but so do Manchester United.

Jacobo is also a GK he is looking at from Real Valladoid, available at around 600k, which in my opinion, is a bargain.

Celtic are looking at Peter Niemeyer from Werder Bremen as a possible defender.

Stuttgart were interested in signing Hinkel, but I think they are now looking elsewhere.

The Sun is reporting that Russian newspapers are saying McGeady has agreed to sign Spartak next week.

Cheers, Wilbert.

spot on fella i was thinkin about lindergards myself n i think if it does happen he will stay with us 4 2years until vds retires n then united will buy him and by that time zaluska will have matured and we will sign the young polish keeper from arsenal on loan 2 battle 4 number1. ive seen all these players mentioned on newsnow:celtic. glad 2 c some1 on this talks sense

and to the people who think MON is comin back i do reckon he will come back 4 a season before he retires as director of football 4 celtic but this will be his last season at villa then he will take a year out n then come back to manage either england or ireland for euro2012

no sources 2 the MON thing but would love 2 c him back"

Glad to see a fan from the other side of Glasgow not replying in block capital letters n telling me I'm a dreamer. :P

I've also heard that Lennon is looking at Sean St Ledger for defence.

Cheers, Wilbert.(35)(27)

 06 Aug 2010 19:00:17
Ed sorry this is not a rumour but this has to make the site . I was just reading a very interesting article in the alternative view (a celtic publication) where a jorno interviewed martain bain. The article is mostly about the investigation being carried out by hmrc and the TRUE amount in which rangers fc could be forced to pay. The bill is for 24 million with 12 million in intrest to be added on to that figure with a further 15 million pounds of a penalty. This is all due to rangers refusing to give up using the " Employee Benefit Trust" (ebt). I don't know much about this scheme but i am asuming it is a way to get out of paying tax. Rangers refused advise from a tax expert to stop using this scheme. if they win the case then they will only have to pay the 15 million penalty but if they were to lose the case they would have to pay the whole 51 million pound. Rangers can prolong the outcome by using the appeal process. Celtic did look at this scheme but the chairman Brian Quinn(ex director of the bank of england) refused to enter such a risky scheme.(26)(35)

To the spurs man who said build your team round fabregas for him to leave next year how wrong our you my friend i have it from a very good source that fabregas feels let down by barca and that as long as wenger stays he will stay he was tempted to go home big deal he has always said he wanted to go home some day. I belive arsenal will get 4 years min from fabregas he has always said he would only leave for barca and he feels barca left him out to dry after stepping up and saying a move home would be ideal. i posted that cesc would stay 2 hours after he met with wenger and long before any statment was released that he would stay i posted in yesterday round 2pm.worry bout spurs mate not us we be fine our squad is very talented from the top players to the youth players who was the last young player brought through by spurs now don't wana here rose, bostock, lennon as they were from different teams leeds and crystal palace i think bostock came from were we take fabregas and ramsey we took from barca and cardiff so we won't count them but a cole, gibbs, frimpong, wilshere are just a few spudz will run out of steam this year don't have the pedigree yet for the CL and i fully expect liverpool to come back into 4th this year with mufc 3rd chelsea 2nd and the mighty arsenal champions for the 14th time min of semi final CL and semi carling cup though fa may not be as when its in the thick the CL and prem will take priority

To the fellow who said this:

Moussa Dembele, the Belgian International, makes his mind up next week on a move to Blues but £5m or a player who has scored 24 in 118 games for AZ and 5 in 28 for Belgium seems a bit steep.

He doesn't have many goals, because, if you do your reaserch, you'll find out AZ and Belgium play him on the left wing.(6)(5)

The FOLLOWING WERE REPORTED BY YOURS TRULY OVER THE LAST MONTH OR SO AND YOU CAN CHECK WITH THE ED FOR THE SAME (I'm nt boasting or anything, this is jst to tell every1 who has doubted my posts n tried to prove me wrong. Believe me, theres nothing that I've posted that hasn't been backed up by concrete n reliable sources.)
1. Cleverly to stay at OT for the season as SAF is very impressed with his performances in the pre season.
2. Diouf n Welbeck to be loaned out.
3. Torres and Fabregas to stay put.
4. Mourinho has lost his interest in Vidic (also, Benzema will only join ManU if there is a swap deal. No swap deal=no move for Benzema)
5. SAF will not move for J.Cole.
6. SAF has made a 9.8 mil bid for Ninis.

these were all the "confirmed" news that I shared with u all before they were all confirmed by the respective authorities (apart from the various possible targets that SAF is "interested" in)
The only ones I got wrong were:
1. J.Cole to join Tottenham (though Harry had made the 1st approach).
2. Carrick to leave for A.Villa.

So stop suspecting and start trusting. My sources are basically at OT however they are in the knowhow of other clubs' signings bcoz of the agents involved. All I post is information rather than speculation. Newez, the latest info is as follows
1. SAF ideally wanted to sign Ozil for free but due to interests from other clubs and due to injuries to key players in the midfield, he "will" make a move and Ozil is interested.
2. He will only move for Defour this summer if any other club bids for him.
3. A new goalkeeper will be bought in January. There are 3 candidates Asenjo, Akinfeev and a 3rd one.
4. Ninis deal has been put on hold due to Ozil's valuation though SAF was ready to increase the Ninis bid to 10.8mil.
5. Dzeko will stay at Bremen, SAF was "never" interested.
6. There is active interest in Jovetic.
7. There will be atleast 1 more signing this summer.
Cheers!!
NPrak

You say this as though you are very reliable, yet you posted the other day about us making 3 bids that were going to be made public by the following Monday, one was for Lahm, can't remember the other two. I've followed your rumours closely and thought they seemed pretty legit at first but quite a few had been very far from the truth.(20)(22)

Bad news for us reds fans I'm afraid.

Shorey is set to sign for West Brom, I had a feeling he would, however if that offer had not have come in then he was ours (money talks) but that's not the only bit of bad news. It would now seem Whittingham is interested in signing a new contract while Wigan have reopened there interest in Pratley.

Josh King.

You heard it here first.

ps, Jom is most certainly NOT the man in the know, however I am.(8)(16)

Nikica Jelavic will join Rangers after playing his last game for Rapid this weekend. Word has it that Rapid have requested a Rangers player as part of the deal, apprantley Papac, however there's agreement for both cash and cash plus player scenarios.
I also hear that Rangers are close to finalising a deal for a USA player. I understand that a Rangers representative will attend a match this weekend with a view to securing a signature. There is speculation as to who this is, however it is likely to be a full back I believe. This may substantiate the Papac exchange rumour.
The Gers are also looking at wing backs from Romania and Holland. I haven't been fully able to ascertain who these might be, but I'm awaiting info from a reasonable source.
There is also a rumour that Dong Fangzhuo, ex Man Utd, is being trialed, however I'm not sure if the source is reliable.
Georgie Welcome will continue his trial period into next week. Reports are rather conflictory, some say he's not impressed, others say he has. Walter Smith has stated that he hopes to arrange a close doors match to assess the player more thoroughly, we'll have to see I guess.
I'm lead to believe that Rangers expected Bougherra to have generated more interest and they would offload at around 6 million to assist in a rebuild. Aresnal have tentatively enquired but no offer has been made. I understand Walter Smith see's Bougherra as expendable and has replacements in mind.
Remarkably, Chris Eagle could still be a Gers player. Allegedly, he's had a rethink. I'm not privy to the thoughts of Walter Smith, however never say never. That being said, Rangers have certainly been courting Sir Alex about Man Utd fringe players on loan, one of which is a winger, fill in the gaps yourself lol.
I've been assured that there will be 3 signings before the SPL kick off and told to expect 4 to 6 signings depending on further depatures.

Arsenal will sign subotic by the end of this window and hazard in january. the vermaalen subotic partnership will be the dominant centerback partnership in the world for years to come.

also, I challenge any manure fans to explain logically where their side will come up with the money to sign more players. all you need to do is reference Arsenal's situation over the past years to see you are hosed. when the chairman says there is money to spend but the manager mysteriously never buys a marquee player.

we are years ahead of you in adjusting to the new realities of the game! We are at the end of our lean years and poised to make boatloads of money while you are mired in debt. So please continue to encourage your team to spend big for the players you want. Perhaps they will listen and doom you to even more crushing debt! We will laugh at you while we promote our excellent youth players and save bags of money! We will rule you and all of Europe soon enough! Your path is doomed!

Arsene has planned for this day. Thanks for the comic relief. I hope you get all the expensive players you want!(22)(10)

Jelavic both teams playing hardball. decision one way or another by tonight depending on champions league draw for Vienna. To say the deal is dead is premature. Two Man Utd youngsters have been shown round Murray Park and their decision on loans is awaited. Hectic last week on transfers for Rangers.
Gattuso on loan to Rangers is possible. There is expectation in Burnley that Rangers might up the wage offer to Eagles.
Daniel Cousin signed for Greek team. Rangers owed £1 million by Hull on original transfer.

LIVERPOOL TO BE SOLD BETWEEN FOUR AND SIX WEEKS TIME!

Liverpool club secretary Ian Silvester believes the sale of the Reds will go through within "the next four to six weeks."

American coowners Tom Hicks and George Gillett have put the club up for sale, with consortiums from China as well as the Middle East and Canada linked with the Merseysiders.

Club secretary Silvester has believes a sale will go through soon, although not before the new domestic season gets underway.

He told Sky Sports News: "Well from what I understand, and that's all I can say, that the urgency is there due to the pressure from the banks so I would anticipate that something will be happening within the next four to six weeks or so."

ED IS THIS GOOD NEWS FOR YOU? I GET THE IMPRESSION YOU WOULD WANT THE KIDS TO GET AS GOOD RUN OUT AT LEAST TIL JANUARY, NOT FOR SOME CHINESE YUPPIE TO COME IN AND BUY A LOAD OF RUBBISH IN A SHORT SPACE OF TIME. {editor's note – I would be very happy for whoever comes in to keep spending down to a minimum. Chelsea will make one more big signing. They have made 2 already and have let 3 players go as our manager mentioned. Expecting this to be a striker. If in the unlikely case Cole joins Real Madrid expect a left back to come in also.

The noises from Old Trafford are growing that Ozil will be signing for them. I know 100% they are trying to sign him so not sure where all the doubters are coming from.

Ignore Defour rumours, they want to sign him next summer and will only move for him IF someone comes in for him this summer. Seeing he is coming back from long term injury this is unlikely.(17)(13)

I'm an Arsenal fan, and as much as i would love to see Podolski, Ozil, Hazard etc at the emirates this season it just won't happen, it's not Wengers style. Back to reality, two more players in; Frey, Saphic

Arsenal team to play Liverpool

Frey
Sagna Vermaelen Koscielny Clichy
Song
Fabregas Nasri
Arshavin Van Persie
Chamakh

Score: 20 to Arsenal(34)(23)

From the Dog,

Barcelona have had to concede defeat in their pursuit of Cesc Fabregas leaving the Catalan giants to consider another option in Mikel Arteta.

The Spanish champions had expressed an interest in both midfielders, but after Fabregas' public statement confirming negotiations regarding his future were finished, Barca may now turn their attention to Everton's midfield jewel.

Arteta, who made a successful comeback from a long term knee injury last season, is coveted by a host of big money buyers, Man City amongst them.

But it is Barca who pose the most real threat to the Spaniards future at Goodison, with noises coming out of the Arteta camp earlier this year suggesting the player would like a move back to Spain be close to family.

Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright has spoken positively about the situation and reminded supporters that the 28 yearold is yet to reject any offer the Blues have set out.

But if Barca throw anything like the amount of resources behind landing Arteta as they did Fabregas, Evertonians could be looking at a midfield significantly weakened by the absence of their most creative outlet(21)(35)

Ozil signing to be announced on Monday/Tuesday. Both Ozil and United will be in London at the weekend (United for Community Shield and Bremen for a friendly against Fulham). Ozil's representatives to hold talks with Fergie/Gill after the Community shield. Fee £15 million.

This rumours giving off a nasty whiff, either you're wearing Brut or you're talking out of your arse. I go for the latter myself.

Relax big lad, just a rumour I heard.Quality comeback haha.

Im quietly confident that the rumour with Ozil is correct and if its true Utd are close to a deal there will definitely be a conversation or 2 over the issue with both representatives in the same place for the first time. I do believe that the fact Utd have been in Usa and Ireland has hindered this transfer going through quickly but its probably a ploy by Fergie to keep the price down. If Utd have declared interest in him but went to America without putting in a bid then Bremen would be likely to be hoping a few bids put the price up but with no other reported interest then they will have to try their hardest to get the price they would like but with only Utd in the hunt its looking good for Utd to get the player at a price that they seem good value rather than over inflated one a bidding war would produce. Lets hope this is the case and we can get him in for around 910m which would be a good deal in my opinion. Then Defour in Jan after realising hargo will have to retire(23)(14)

When was the last time Arsenal ever spent 30m on one player? Let me refresh your memory, NEVER. His most expensive player was 15.8m on Nasri. Just like he won't get Young because there's a 30m fee on his head.(6)(23)

I have heard that Man u are in for the "Yellow Feather" their training ground is in a right mess and the grass has grown out of control during the summer.

Red Duster

You mustn't know your stuff as much as you think you do.Carrington has been hosting an international tournament (Nike U15s Premier Cup World Club Cup for the age group) for the youngsters all week of which Newcastle and Man Utd both made the knockout stages..the tournament culminates in a final at Old Trafford itself on Saturday while United play Chelski at Wembley in the Community Shield on the Sundaymeaning both training facilities and matchday facilities should be up to scratch for the toon army heading there on aug16!!

Also Tom Cleverly has been included in Fergies squad for the season thus he isn't going anywhere onloan which is a shame as he could have helped out the toon and got experience from big sol!!

come on the magpies!! any rumours going for the toon ed? the ben arfa deal seems to have gone quiet and on ssn website hughton was keen to make additions this week!! {editor's note – I haven't heard anything recently.}(9)(8)

Why don't you provide a link to the tabloids as most of the clowns that post on here seem to get 99% of thier info from them.

Belgium Rumours/Fact

Anyway, Loic Remy IS coming to England but NOT to Stoke (waiting for interest to firm up from bigger teams Spurs/Liverpool, if not West Ham). Just paying Stoke lip service by talking to them.
Moussa Dembele, the Belgian International, makes his mind up next week on a move to Blues but £5m or a player who has scored 24 in 118 games for AZ and 5 in 28 for Belgium seems a bit steep.
Defour IF he comes to England will go to Utd. I have reported this before. A big stumbling block is that he missus does NOT speak a word of English.
Celtic scouts are watching (NOT in talks; NOT bid for) Gent Centre Half Marko Suler (Slovenian) and will again have a presence this week when Gent play Racing Genk should Suler recover from his injury sustained against Dynamo Kiev.
Cedric Roussel (now a free agent after playing for Mons) has had contact from from 2 SPL Teams (obviously NOT Celtic/Rangers) and 4 Div 2 Teams.

To all the people that think Man Utd won't sign Ozil I have just recieved a text message from a very reliable source who told me about deals with Rooney, Carrick, Nani, Berbatov etc that Mesut Ozil is definitely going to be playing at the Theatre Of Dreams next season. He is not sure when the deal will be announced but is possible that it will all be finalised as soon as next week. This source has proved very reliable in the past and I have no reason to doubt him this time. Think how many people are posting about Ozil to Man Utd, can we all be wrong? There has to be some truth in all of this. My source also revealed that there are no immediate plans to bring in the likesof Defour, Sanchez or any Goalkeepers but when I asked him if there was any weight in the rumours regarding this Trochowski guy he told me that he is a player that is being looked at and Sir Alex could well make an offer.(63)(81)

 06 Aug 2010 13:38:29
Remy is more likely to join Arsenal because of obvious reasons, champions league, money his personal affection for the club and the possibility of the sale of Rosicky which would leave the number 7 shirt vacant. (BOLLCKS!) Arsenal will be operating in a 442 style so Van Persie will start and the new signings of Chamakh and Remy will rotate as sub and 1st team, with Bendtner on standby (DOUBLE BOLLCKS!).

442? Have a word son! Wenger won't change from last season's loose 433/451.
A) It brings out the best in Fabregas
B) We have too many forwards and wide men to simply play a standard 442.
C) We have a lack of central midfielders (given Ramsey's injury)
D) Two attacking widemen in the channels like Arshavin, Nasri, Walcott or Rosicky compliment the advancing runs of both Chamakh and Van Persie. They can also drop back when required without effecting the general run of play or supply to the centre forward.
Wenger has played a 442 in the Emirates Cup due to his inclusion of Frimpong and Wilshere this was largely a succesful experiment which may be used in Champions League away games this season but certainly not at home in the Premier League. Loic Remy will NOT be joining Arsenal. We have no need for a forward like that and he is way overpriced. The only two positions to be strengthened are at CB and GK providing our bids are accepted. Mark Schwarzer and Phil Jagielka will not be signed but Mertesacker, Tasci, Frey and Stekelenburg are in with a shout.(30)(38)

Cheers, Wilbert.

spot on fella i was thinkin about lindergards myself n i think if it does happen he will stay with us 4 2years until vds retires n then united will buy him and by that time zaluska will have matured and we will sign the young polish keeper from arsenal on loan 2 battle 4 number1. ive seen all these players mentioned on newsnow:celtic. glad 2 c some1 on this talks sense

and to the people who think MON is comin back i do reckon he will come back 4 a season before he retires as director of football 4 celtic but this will be his last season at villa then he will take a year out n then come back to manage either england or ireland for euro2012

no sources 2 the MON thing but would love 2 c him back(35)(30)

For everyone saying Liverpool are about to be taken over and will have 100 million pound transfer budget, you are just wishful thinkers. There has been no offer yet and only two parties have publicly shown interest: Kenny Huang and Yayha Kirdi.
The takeover will be complete after the transfer window closes.
I am not a Man U supporter trying to put LFC fans down by the way. I am a Liverpool supporter just saying something realistic.(28)(36)

SOUTHAMPTON

Saints have had a £500,000 bid for Michail Antonio rejected by Reading. Saints asked how much Reading want for Antonio, and the Royals say they want £1,000,000 + addons. Saints have ended their interest.

Southampton have offered trials for the two former Newcastle United youngsters Frank Danquah and Wesley NgoBaheng. They have had no reply from the two Strikers.

Darius Vassel's agent did not even get contacted about Southampton Interest in him, same with Benjani.
Just Press RUBBISH!

Emmanuel Frimpong's loan deal will not happen due to Pardew looking for a Permanent deal in Central Midfield.

Saints are looking at Loans in the Premier League and Championship. Mostly for wingers available as Saints are weak in that area.

Nathan Tyson will not happen. He WAS in talks with Saints but Nottingham Forest wanted Dan Harding aswell as around £500,000. Alan Pardew said he wanted to keep Harding because he was a key player in the Southampton squad. Everything slowed down, and then Blackpool came in for him and then Tyson wasn't interested joining Saints. Because he wanted to join the Premier League newboys.

The Gattuso thing: Rino WAS at Ibrox this week. Paid a visit with Amo but will not be joining this season. Will be Ally's captain next season though. His wife wants to spend time over here next year for family reasons.
Jelavic will NOT happen unless there is a change in stance from his club..
Read the backpages this weekend for new signing!(23)(39)

 06 Aug 2010 13:21:02
Hi, I am glad that common sense has prevailed as the Gattuso rumour has since vanished as there was no chance of him coming to Ibrox (sadly). Jelavic is a good striker but possibly deal is dead as Puppet bain could not persude Rapid to part with the player for £3.5m which personally i think is a good deal for the player but of course Rapid want the best deal for there club. the loan deals of 2 man utd players apparently there are 2 players at murray park today which is 6th august but again probably just a rumour although I was at murray park earlier around baout 12:20 and seen a young guy with what looks like to be a agent in a black range rover (very nice car), but again could be anyone.

Anyway Hopefully Rangers will get a few players in to contribute to hopefully what will be a 3 in a row team.(37)(24)

Birmingham city will sign n'zogbia, grosso and camorenasi and maybe 1 more striker possibly keane or dembele

Im a blues fan myself and its ridiculous to suggest we could get Keane we wont, N'zogbia would of came by now if he was going to come he will prob join Juventus as they have declared their interest, Blues want Grosso on loan but Juventus want a permanent deal so unlikely to happen, and we will only get camorenasi if Juventus pay half his wages, but i suspect his agent is just trying to drum up interest for him by declaring our interest, the only deal that i believe will happen is the Dembele deal.

Arsene Wenger is looking to sign Felipe Melo because of the sad departure of either Rosicky, Denilson or Diaby. Jay Emmanuel Thomas and Frimpong to head out on loan. The most likely destination is Blackpool and QPR. Jay Simpson will be sold to Palace within the next 48 hours. Regarding the defensive position rumours of Jagielka coming to the Emirates are hotting up I see this as a deal that could happen. Emir Sphaic will join Arsenal for 10million plus Armand Traore. The kepper seems to be looking like a two horse race between Steklengburg and Joe Hart. If neither of the two are brought in Fabianski will be number one for the new season.

ED, have you heard anything on Christian Poulsen coming to Livepool. He is not up to the Liverpool standard by a long shot and would be a really bad buy. If they are looking for another centre midfielder i would go for Stephen Ireland or Steven Defour. I think we do need a centre midfielder though because Mascherano wants to leave and Lucas slows the play up too much. Then we need another top striker and possibly a goalkeeper. There are rumours about Crouch coming back to Anfield as well, what do you think about that. But i would be happy to play Martin Kelly at left back, he looks class.

Thanks, CDP

Feel free to comment {editor's note – the only thing I have heard regarding Poulsen was a comment by Roy saying he was a good player. I would be very surprised if he signed given how short the club is of home grown players.}(18)(15)

(3) (3)

Im fully aware that Trochowski and Ozil play in a similar position but it is not unusual that a club like Man Utd would sign players to provide cover. May I add that Anderson, Hargreaves, Carrick are all injured.Paul Scholes has one more season max as does Giggs and Cleverley is more than likely going to be loaned out. Ozil can also play in both wide positions. SAF has been negotiating with Werder Bremen but as usual do not make the deals public until the deal is done. Trochowski is definitely being considered as the midfield is our weakest area. As for Torres how long did it take him to commit his future to Liverpool. Lets face it he will only stay there if he can see progress and that will only happen if the club is bought from the americans. These are not lies and all will become clear early next week when Man Utd announce the signing of Mesut Ozil. Dzeko might not be a great player in your opinion but it is SAFs opinion that counts and him who decides what players to buy and my sources have said he is very much on the radar if Berbatov was ever to leave the club.(38)(15)

I am fed up of hearing from people on this site that Man Utd do not have any money to spend and that nobody will be signed this summer. SAF has stated that he is happy with his squad but he's not going to say that it needs changing either and risk demoralising the current players. SAF and David Gill are working very hard behind the scenes on potential new signings and my sources who work at Old Trafford have told me that Man Utd will definitely be bringing AT LEAST 1 new player to the club. The rumours we keep reading about Mesut Ozil are indeed true. A deal to bring Ozil is almost complete and it is almost certain that it will be confirmed mon/tue of next week. Another player SAF is keen to bring to the club is Hamburgs Piotr Trochowski and this is also very likely to happen as SAF is a big admirer and the deal would cost about £8,000,000. My sources have also indicated that if Berbatov does not prove his worth this season he will be moved on next summer even if it means a huge loss, if this happens then Man Utd will try to sign Edin Dzeko as he would be available much cheaper next season. Rumours linking Man Utd to James Milner are completely untrue. Ferguson does not believe Milner is anywhere near worth Villas valuation of him. After all he has had only one good season. Also it looks like Liverpools takeover is in jeopardy as the americans are asking for ridiculous money. If this takeover doesn't happen then expect Torres to move to Chelsea as he craves the possibility of winning a major trophy, something that's just not going to happen at Anfield. Also expect Mario Balotelli to finally become the next mercenary at wastelands by the end of next week.

MATE YOU ARE TALKING ABSOLUTE BUBBLE, TROCHOWSKI & OZIL PLAY IN THE SAME POSITION, IT WOULD BE ONE OF THE TWO BROUGHT IN NOT BOTH. with big CH looking for a striker expect either a big chunk of his budget on an experienced striker few names ive heard, klose, yakubu, huntelaar, beattie, van nistel rooy, i doubt we would get any of these so expect an older striker not many people will have heard of

i can't see any players leaving but should a big offer come in i can the see club letting go, latest news ive heard is lazio after gutierrez, although i don't think its certain how much the club paid for him after the compensation newcastle had to pay id think anything over 8 million the club should just let him go(20)(21)

Cheers, Wilbert.(37)(20)

I have been told by Chris Hughtons son that Newcastle are looking to bring in 3 players before the end of the transfer window, Centre back, Left Back, and Centre Forward. Negotiations are under way with Ricardo Rocha . Wayne Bridge(man city) and Jay Simpson(Arsenal) are the two other targets but personnal terms are still to be agreed. He also said that Arsenal and Spurs have been making enquires about Stuart Taylor, but may wait until january due to injury. Howay the lads.

1. Wayne Bridge? Our best player is Enrique and we couldnt afford Bridge if we wanted to sit him on our bench.
2. Stuart Taylor? We are supposed to beleive your rumours when you include this epic fail?
3. Ricardo Rocha is an embarassment to football, we have better kids in the under 15's playing in Manchester Cup right now.

At best i can see Ben Arfa(loan view to buy) Arevalo(if officals in Uruguay are to be beleived) and a young LB on loan. And i mean at best as i am not too hopeful on the first two.(12)(30)

ARSENAL
As I stated earlier in the week Melo & Wenger were seen at a restaurant in North London last Sunday. If he was truly at the Emirates for yesterday's session, then it confirms my rumour that he will sign for Arsenal, especially as Juve are financially strapped & Melo hasnt been a success.(44)(17)

PNE are looking to add another striker to there squad this month. Darren Ferguson is currently talking to Sir Alex, in the hope that he will let Mame Diouf go to Deepdale on a season long loan deal. Darren is looking for a quick, hungry striker and a move for diouf looks like its on the cards and Sir Alex said he is prepared to let Diouf go out on loan this season. But will it be PNE he goes to?(24)(22)

Any truth at all in Milner to Arsenal ED?

With Cesc committing for the short term, maybe only till Jan! I can see a great opportunity for Milner to gain champ league but Chelsea and Man U would be offering to for sure! AW will not get into bidding wars with the big spenders! MON wants £30 mill, AW would maybe spend £18 mill if he really rates the player! {editor's note – I have not heard anything about Milner to Arsenal outside of rumours. Nothing concrete and I also doubt Wenger would spend that kind of money.}(4)(35)

 06 Aug 2010 10:22:51
Remy is more likely to join Arsenal because of obvious reasons, champions league, money his personal affection for the club and the possibility of the sale of Rosicky which would leave the number 7 shirt vacant. Arsenal will be operating in a 442 style so Van Persie will start and the new signings of Chamakh and Remy will rotate as sub and 1st team, with Bendtner on standby.

ARSENAL
Ignore the nonsense being spouted in respect of Milner, Wenger will not pay the money Villa want for him & in any case he is simply not as good as most of the current crop of Arsenal's midfield players. Loic Remy, will also not be signed by Arsenal, as we already have Van Persie, Chamakh, Bentner & Vela, as striking options. As Wenger stated we will definitely purchase a centre back, possibly two. An experienced goalkeeper, such as Schwarzer, if the right one becomes available, although I have a feeling Wenger still has faith in Fabianski & sees Szczesny as a long term solution, with Manone as back up.(33)(12)

Hi ed was wondering if there was any truth in kuyt being sold this window? Personally i think would be a good time to cash in on him.. Hes been great for the club but i just think the money we would recieve would allow roy to buy an out and out winger any other transfer news for us either thanks {editor's note – I have not heard anything concrete about Kuyt being sold. Not yet anyway, but there is still time and Inter still need to sell Balotelli to raise funds for purchases.}(10)(10)

To the pleb who said

"I hope rangers manage to complete signing of Nikica Jelavic as with a career ratio of 54 goals in 175 games in a 2nd rate league its really got me and every other Celtic Fan quaking in our boots."

I think the main reason for the interest is his goal tally from the europa league last year, what was it 12?

3 against your lot
Goal against Villa, Hamburg etc

I think the lad is class, and has still plenty of years ahead of him. Personally £4m is a bargain for this guy.

Rangers will have to add a sell on clause, and Structure the deal smartly to get him though.
Although with the Filths portion of Champions league TV money at our disposal, we are in a good position to pull off some deals.

Was speaking to a guy from Manchester on Wednesday who works for a very prestigious camera company, and seems to be quite knowledgable on Man U. He can't see Rangers getting Possebon as he was out at Benfica (I would say the Portuguese league is of higher standard) and he may be used as a sub for Man U, but the lad is rated highly.

I'm not too bothered at that as I still think a winger is priority. We cannot resort to throwing young Fleck out there on the wing, he cannot compete there.

Anyway here's hoping we can get some fresh faces in

Exclusive Arsenal News!

So cesc is staying, he finally saw sense, BARCA cannot afford him and he won't get into their 1st team!Enough Cesc rumours. He is staying!

I was at the members day yesterday, and am fortunately enough to be a club level member. I overheard Kenny Sansom talk to some guy that, Wenger is going to sign 2 players by the end of the window.

I did not get any names but i heard, a defender who plays in the Bundesleague and somebody who plays in the russian league.'Both players would be brought in to tighten the defense'.

OK i no this means a lot of players, but atleast we are going to sign sombody atleast!!

There was also a rumour around the ground that Melo was again at the emirates to watch the members day?? I don't know why he would buy melo?We have got enough midfielders.(30)(16)

Man utd are also in talks with standard liege about the possibilty of signing steven defour in january.

Also expect Mario Balotelli to finally become the next mercenary at wastelands by the end of next week.(21)(34)

Arsenal news:

AS Roma manager Claudio Ranieri has admitted that the deal for Inter defender Nicolas Burdisso might be doomed.

Expect Arsene Wenger to take advateage of the situation and make a move for the Argetina international very soon.

Burdisso would be perfect for Arsenal's needs since he can operate on every position of the defensive line.

The fee for Burdisso will be somewhere around £8 million.

Arsenal will not sign a new goalkeeper. Expect Lukasz Fabianki to start the season as no. 1(14)(30)

I hear Rapid Vienna knocked back a £3.5m bid from Rangers for Jelavic & are wanting closer to £4m now. I know £4m is not the biggest amount but this guy is in the last year of his contract, i say move on. I also read when Rangers were in Australia, they were 'actively' looking at players, which players ? i'm not saying we should sign anyone for the sake of it but surely we should have had a couple of signings by now, after all, the league season starts next week, & we should have had a couple of new faces to play against Newcastle tomorrow.(14)(19)

James Milner will nnot sign for Man City, he won't do what Gareth Barry did and go for the money especially after he has said that he to wants Champions League football like Barry but he will go to Arsenal i think I don't support Arsenal but i think it wil be a much better move for him I think watching Arsenal in Preseasn they look good all they need is someone like James and a new keeper maybe even Loic Remy for up front!!1

According to tribalfootball.com:

Stoke City, West Ham & Liverpool are in the chase for Nice's Loic Remy. Reportedly Stoke City entered a hard negotiation to try and freeze out competitors for Remy but after personalterms and a transferfee could not be agreed, it seems that Remy is destined for a different destination.

Liverpool may now step up investigations into the 1.84cm, 23 year old from France. With Remy's preferred shirt no. 7 being vacant at Liverpool FC, could Remy be the next star to pull on the famous no.7 shirt at Liverpool?

With Roy Hodgson's sensible business sense, he could well be looking to fill the gaps in quality up front and Remy could well be a worthwhile investment.

OLD FIRM

Rangers will complete Jelavic signing before Newcastle game, deal was supposed to be tied up on Thurs night, but little bits here and little bits there meant that discussions will roll into Friday, it will happen though, just a formality.

Celtic will NOT get Bellamy or Keane. As much as the love they club .. Bellamy hates Glasgow, FACT. And Keane wants to ply his trade at the top level. Love aint everything, look at Boyd. They will however make 2 or 3 signings, GK, DEF, FW. These players will have a little class but be relativley unknown . i.e ChaDuRi , Hooper , Murphy etc.

After signing Jelavic , Rangers will make 2 more signings and 1 loan move from Man Utd. They will go back for Eagles, Welcome and King on loan. They may squeeze in one more in a desperate attempt to stop their youth team going to Parkhead .. we all know what happens to little boys over there.

It's Henri Lansbury mate, I posted a comment underneath the picture but just in case you didn't see it, i'll put it here aswell.

Not much news coming out of Arsenal today, most likely due to the members day. Everyone will be travelling tomorrow (Friday), so again I doubt anything to happen. Saturday, we play our last preseason game, so hopefully some news on Sunday or Monday. Only one more player will be arriving at the Emirates and that willl be a CB, no new 'keeper unfortunately. Fabianski is the new number 1 and will start the first game of the season between the sticks at Anfield.(22)(6)

Bain flies home without Jelavic as Rapid dig heels in over transfer fee

Nikica Jelavic
Michael Grant

5 Aug 2010
THE RANGERS chief executive, Martin Bain, flew home from Austria last night having been frustrated in his attempts to wrest striker Nikica Jelavic away from Rapid Vienna.

Bain held negotiations with Rapid officials about the 24yearold Croatian international throughout yesterday, but no deal was concluded and negotiations will continue today and over the weekend. The Herald revealed yesterday that Rangers had made a second, improved offer worth £3.5m for the 6ft 2in forward.

Rapid may be digging their heels in because they want Jelavic to play in their Europa League fourth qualifying round ties later this month. They will know their opponents for those games after today's draw, but as an unseeded club they could draw Liverpool, Manchester City or, intriguingly, Celtic. If Jelavic is registered for the next round he will be ineligible to play for Rangers in the Champions League although the Ibrox club are willing to write him off for Europe if it means they still have a chance of getting him. "We held talks today and discussions are ongoing, " said Bain last night. Jelavic will join the Croatia squad on Sunday for a friendly in Slovakia next midweek.

Jelavic wants to play in Britain and would come to Rangers on a £15,000aweek deal. Walter Smith wants to make at least three signings but a major chunk of his kitty has been earmarked for the Croat. If that deal goes through Rangers may have to consider loans to further shore up their slender squad, although funds could be released to offer reasonable wages to any established players who become available. If Jelavic essentially inherits Boyd's slice of the wage bill, the salaries of Nacho Novo, Kevin Thomson, DaMarcus Beasley, Danny Wilson and Steven Smith are theoretically being saved and all or some of that figure around £40,000 a week could be offered to loan targets.

Honduran international striker Georgie Welcome, who would cost £500,000, is on trial at Murray Park but is unlikely to be offered a contract. Jelavic has been identified as the preferred focal point of a forward line which has lost Kris Boyd's 2530 goals a season.

One potential obstacle was the fact Rapid Vienna were weighing up whether to hold out for £4m£4.5m for Jelavic because his former club, Zulte Waregem of Belgium, are entitled to a sellon fee. "I would prefer if Jelavic was still playing for us in the group stages of the Europa League and scoring goals, " Rapid general manager Werner Kuhn said yesterday. "We could then sell him for a spectacular fee in January." Jelavic himself, though, has made it clear he is ready to leave now.(22)(14)

Aha haha.. Was waiting for another stupid United fan with this. Carrick's not coming. O'Neill wants Ireland which is why he's willing to let Milner go to City. He's also looking at Bellamy. O'Neill has 0 INTEREST IN CARRICK. No one wants Carrick..(12)(38)

They will also look at the availability of Simon Cox from WBA on loan not sure how true this is.

Also, we will not be bringing in anyone from Manchester United, despite rumours of Owen and Welbeck, i have heard that Fergie has said we can take Owen on a 3 month loan to get him fit again, but again not sure how true. and we have just signed Vokes..

Coppell is also looking for a short term right back, with Nicky Hunt and Christian Ribiero on the sidelines, so expect a loan move for a young premiership player!(17)(64)

Just looked on the Arsenal web site at photos of the members day and not 1 photo of cesc was on there i really want him to stay but why don't it show any of him on there.

If you look on them 15 slides most of the main players are missing, there only sagna rozicky arshavin and clichy and verm the rest are reserve players and some fans on the pitch, if ude of waited till skysports did there broardcast ude of seen cesc on the pitch and he will stay for another season atleast. I hope this helps you out

EDD is there any cb's or gk's close to pulling on the famouse jersey?(11)(32)

"AHHHH, THIS IS ANNOYING ME! Man u fans, get over yourselves! Ferguson has said that he isn't interested in signing any more players! so stop saying your will sign 34 more! the harsh reality is your not signing anybody.

As an arsenal fan i have come to accept that we won't sign any big names and won't make many signings, but you man u fans are in denial. Time for a wake up call."

Okay, when on earth did Ferguson say he didn't want any more players? He's said he's happy with the squad that he's got. That doesn't necessarily equate to him not wanting to improve it. Also, he's not exactly going to come out and say "Nah, we need three or four more players" because that'd simply disappoint the fans if United didn't get them. Honestly, don't believe what you read in the press.

I'm not saying Ozil will come. In fact, I doubt he will. But if you don't want to read football RUMOURS, then don't come on the website titled "FootballRumours.com". Simples.

SAF looking at buying milner instead of ozil because he is already proven and would pay city back for tevez. Deal gonna break next week after community shield. Carrick on his way to villa as part of the deal and all SAF has to do is to get milner to sign which is looking very likely.(14)(86)

Lifted from the Herald website
THE RANGERS chief executive, Martin Bain, flew home from Austria last night having been frustrated in his attempts to wrest striker Nikica Jelavic away from Rapid Vienna. Bain held negotiations with Rapid officials about the 24yearold Croatian international throughout yesterday, but no deal was concluded and negotiations will continue today and over the weekend.

This is turning into a bit of a saga. WS obviously thinks really highly of the boy otherwise he'd have walked away by now. Having watched some of him on youtube, he looks the part, hopefully something can be concluded. I'm not one for slagging off Sellick, but their talk of signing Bellamy is clearly pulling the wool over their fans eyes in order to sell tickets.

"Arsenal to sign moses from wigan, tasci and neur from the bundesliga and trust me james milner to arsenal.
Celtic r in the hunt for bellamy if that fails they will bid £4mil for jay simpson"

There may be a grain of truth to the "Milner to Arsenal" thing that is starting to rear it's head. MON is an admirer of Wenger due to Wenger's reluctance to splash the cash hugely and wildly in the transfer market, and also his program of bringing players up through the youth ranks instead of buying the big name of the moment. I think MON would much rather deal with Wenger than Mancini and the Man stty money machine in any potential deal for Milneralso Milner has often stated that his ultimate goal is to play CL footballhmmmm..this rumour might have some legs to it!(25)(80)
