Liverpool will not have the money to sign a host of players + the squad is not in need of this as Rafa see the harm of mass changes as a team needs time to gel and whole sale changes would set the team back. The team is in desperate need of width as we currently play a forward and a centre forward on the left and right in the shape of Kuyt and Babel. Rafa has a decent amout of money to spend as it was stated he had around 45 million to spend on transfers he has already spent aound 17–18 million of this on Mascherano, however Rafa will retain the funds for all players sold. He will not pay above the odds for a player as we have seen every season since he's been in charge. In my opinion these players Rafa will go for as they are the players we need the most,
Rafinha (RB)
Silva (LM)
Sergio Aguero (CF)
Bentley (RM)
David Villa (ST)
I do not bellieve that Rafa will sign all of the above as he will only pay what he believes is a fair price, I do bellieve he sees our left side as the biggest problem, I believe his top priority of those names will be Silva and Rafinha as these players will give us the greatest width. Rafinha will give Liverpool the overlap that Rafa wants on the right side as Kuyt plays his role solidly but lacks creation, but is capable of cover as he showed in this weeks game against Arsenal. Silva will give us the creation we need on the left and the quality of a quick cross which we lack with Babel as he leads with his right, SIlva will also anabe Babel to play in his preffered role as a centre forward.
Also to the Tottenham supporter claiming that Bentley and VIlla would not be interested in a move to Liverpool? David Villa may have expressed a desire to work with Ramos but he has also stated his desire to play at the top level in the Champions League as Valencia have struggled this season, also Tottenham need to rebuild their entire defense, you may have started with Woodgate and hutton, but you need so much more and the majority of your funds should be spent here, you have 3 top quality forwards with Berbatov, Keane and Darren Bent and I cannot see David Villa wanting to compete for his position. As far as Bentley goes again I have not heared any rumours about him wanting a return to London? if he does I think hed preffer Chelsea, as he again has stated his desire to play in the Champions League. The other rumour is that he would not want to come to Liverpool and be rotated, but the truth of Rafa's rotation policy is he always plays our key players when fit, and I think Rafa would see Bentley as a key player also Bentley has stated his desire to be an England regular and sees Champions League football as a vital componant which could help him achieve this, again not words from his mouth but reports from papers which again dose not make it correct, I am sorry but I find Bentley and Villa going to Tottenham next season highly unlikely so if you want to see want to see them in white or at White Heart Lane you better take your own advice and go join the que of Liverpool supporters quing to by a playstation.
Kevin Keegan was at the Rangers v Sporting game and was very impressed with Miguel Veloso and will bid up to £15 million for him this Summer, he was also impressed by Rangers' Carlos Cueller.
I have a journo mate who works for LFC. TV and he has confirmed that DIC will make the Yanks an offer they cannot refuse and they will each be out in the first week after season end. Rafa will be signing the following players
Rafinha (£8 million), Lahm (£10 million), Aguero (£19 million), Johnson (swap for Crouch), Bentley (£6 million + Pennant)
He will also get rid of the dead–wood – Riise, Finnan, Pennant, Voronin, Kewell, Crouch. He is also open to offers for Aurellio and Alonso
DIC have indicated though that Rafa has to deliver the title next year or he will be replaced, they say he will have had enough time and resources to make an impact on the EPL.

Everton are supposed to be getting Roberto Carlos
Kevin Keegan took Terry Mac to Ibrox last night to once again check out Carlos Cuellar. Given how leaky the Newcastle defense can be (and how sturdy Rangers have become under Walter Smith) could Keegan be interested in more than one Ger? Or will someone remind him that Jean Alain Boumsong looked a world beater in Glasgow and a disaster at St. James'
David Healy to join Steve Davis in making move from Fulham to Rangers in the Summers
Scott Brown linked with a move from Celtic – great form early in the season has fizzled out. Apparently he is not on the best of terms with a free scoring Australian forward at the club. Wait and see who wins out there.
Portsmouth transfers In: John Mensah, Gutierrez, d'allessandro, aubey and another central midfielder
Portsmouth transfers Out:
diop, kanu, Lauren (part exchange + Gutierrez).
lots of youngsters out on loan
Liverpool – You have already signed Rafinha. You will attempt to sign Aguero, which may or may not happen dependant on Chelsea's level of interest. A couple of youngsters will be brought in, Alonso will leave and the one big signing you will make will be Xavi from Barcelona.
Man United – Not to much action. Likely to sign Lahm. Will possibly make a move for Berbatov, but they are not prepared to pay £30 million for him. Expect Chelsea, Barcelona, Real, Ac and Man United to fight it out for Benzama. Huntelaar is also being considered if Berba and Benzema moves fail as they are expected to
Arsenal – The usual influx of youngsters. Phillipe Mexes will be brought in. Will make a suprise effort for Mikel Arteta.
Chelsea – Will make efforts for Berbatov, but again are likely to baulk at £30 million being asked. Will turn attentions to Mancini from Roma and a will make a suprise swoop for Huntelaar to replace Shvechenko who is heading back to AC
Newcastle – Expect a moderate change of personal. Bride and Riise will be brought in. Expect Gomis to arrive for around £10 million (had it not been for Benzema this guy would be involved in a tug of war between all the top clubs. Also coming in will be Bentley and potentially Aaron Lennon (with N'Zogbia going the other way). Tim Cahill is a realistic possibility also.
Villa – Will battle for Gomis. Will move to make Carson permanent. Will try to bring in Sol Cambell on a free from Pompey

Now that Manuel Almunia could remain Arsenal's number one after agreeing a contract extension, Martin O'Neill has been given the green light to lure Bolton's Jussi Jaaskelainen to Villa Park.
MON remembers Jaaskelainen's matchwinning performance against Villa in Bolton's 1–0 victory at Villa Park last year, and sees Jaaskelainen as a more suitable option than Scott Carson since he will be a free agent and after ten years of playing with Bolton at the highest level, he is certainly experienced enough. However, Galatasaray, Celtic and FC Barcelona are also looking for competition in the Goal Keeper area so MON will have to sweet talk Jussi into joining Villa.
Although, Jussi is very happy in England and this is what should ultimately swing it in O'Neill's favour.
Shaun Wright–Phillips is buying a house in Manchester I have this on very good authority a very close family member works for the solicitors that are arranging the purchase of said property

Liverpool will move for FC Barcelona's Eidur Gudjohnsen. Rafa Benitez see's him as Torres' future striking partner.
Other likely arrivals are Rafinha and Bentley.
Also Ronaldinho's agent claims Liverpool, Chelsea and AC Milan are all interested in the playmaker. He said there are 'no lack of offers but Milan, Chelsea and Liverpool are definitely interested'.
Some Rangers rumours straight from the horses mouth.

Leaving will be Cuellar and Mcgregor. Cuellar to Newcastle £10 million and Mcgregor to Tottenham £10 million.
The only real rumour to be believed about Liverpool is rafinha. although David Villa and David Bentley will not be going to WHL. why go to a team not in the top 4? David Villa knows he is welcome at Anfield, as is Bentley. villa's strike partner for Spain plays for the reds, and Bentley knows he's one of Rafa's first choices for right mid. Tottenham fans stop living in dreamland

There are some REAL rumours, the signed "senior player" who Benitez mentioned is SAMIR NASRI, Liverpool had the frist option on him and did it, the another two youngsters are Rafinha and Menez. Rafinha will replace Finnan and fight with Arbeloa for a place in th sstarting XI, with Narsi playing as right winger and menez will be used as cover for Babel and Nasri, probably for Torres too.
It amazes me the amount of rubbish on this site
Arsenal spending big
all these world class players wanting to play for Tottenham
Liverpool wish list as long as your arm
only facts here now Wenger does not spend big on a lot of players (although he has bought big before) he is very happy with the way things are progressing at the moment 1 or two signings but not household names
Tottenham have already had there fingers burnt this year already when they spend big just look at Darren Bent (although he may come good but he is gone) what you will find is jr will buy a lot of players at mid price range as he is unhappy with most of his squad he will buy what he knows
Liverpool will buy big but not at the rate expected on this site
we can all speculate about who but again like Wenger he will not be second guessed
i mean who had skertel on his earlier list (no one I think) although he may buy Villa who can play in the dirk kyut role
Alonso will go back to Spain but involving a swap deal
lets be honest on this site and not pick random players who have only mowed on the playstation
happy Reading

Steven Frail was asked to compile a list of signing targets on Romanov's last visit. Frail who has now been officially named as head coach is lining up, Nicholson, Riordan, Killen, Maybury, Ross Wallace, Craig Beattie, Stan Varga and Gomis. Kingston, Stewart, GoncAlves, Ivaskevcious, Zaliukas, Tall, Makela, Basso and Pinilla will definitely leave. Stewart and Kingston have already agreed moves elsewhere as has Bednar. Offers for every other player will be listened to, and a smaller basis weekly wage with high bonus payments depending on performances will be put in place in order to keep everyone motivated and hungary. Frail will also look for a older more experienced assistant to help him. Sandy Clark will be assistant with John Robertson being added to the coaching staff.
