Paul Benson is on his way to Northampton.

He Is On His Way To Southend, Paul Benson's Dad, Charlie, Is A Friend Of My Dad and Said He Has Convinced The Striker To Join His Boyhood Club

Too many capital letters in that sentence. Don't want him anyway.

05 Jun 2013 22:28:32
Elliott Richards to join Forest Green Rovers on a 6 month loan deal from Bristol Rovers.

Next! John ward has said today he is in his plans for next season.

To be honest even though I doubt this is true I think a loan will do him good. also the wages would be a boost too.

Newport would be more likely

05 Jun 2013 22:55:23
Chesterfield are set to sign Dundee Uniteds midfielder Richie Ryan. He has worked under the spireites boss Paul Cook when he played for Sligo Rovers from 2008-11.

05 Jun 2013 23:43:21
He was brilliant for sligo rovers.
Very composed on the ball.
Haven't seen much of him since.

Would like to see him do well

How sure are you?

Half the teams going to be called Ryan at this rate

Richie Ryan coming to Chesterfield along with Boco and Cresswell. We will have best squad by far in the division and should have good chance of winning league. hopefully stopping places with Rotherham.

No way is boco cumin to town trust me! I very much doubt cresswell will either, probably be non league players cuming in! Cfc being abit tight with the wages! you want decent players you got to pay them I'm afraid! struggle to get play offs next season I think

I don't trust you. Deals have been done. CFC have signed players who have turned down SPL and Lge 1 to do so. 3 more signings to be announced next week will confirm the Spireites as bookies favourites for the title.
The new backroom staff have excellent contacts in the pro and semi pro game and are using them to good effect. The squad will be slightly bigger this season with several players being given a chance to impress once pre season starts in a couple of weeks.

Decent players? We have have them jimmy ryan, eion Doyle, jay o Shea, Richards, smith, cooper, tommy lee, togwell, talbot. Sounds like a strong team forming to me. plus we aren't finish signing yet. league 2 winners defo.

Even Manchester United won't get held to ransom by agents silly wage demands - neither will most clubs. Its now the silly season with agents testing to see which clubs are daft enough to pay excess wages. If Town aren't - brilliant. To get the right deal in business you need to spend time negotiating - not just rolling over to the first half decent player with daft wage demands fueled by greedy agents leeching on industry.
You're stupid to say we won't attract good players - no-one would argue with Talbot; Doyle and Carr both signed after playing at a higher level and both wanted by other clubs. If someone like you was running things Town would be heading for administration in no time - we've been down that road twice before! We already have the nucleus of a very good team. 10 out of 10 to the manager in my book.

Seems that Boco has taken a U-turn on the wages he wanted and should complete a deal in the next 7 days. Cresswell move has some truth with Chesterfield having shown strong interest in the player and the player himself favored to a move up north -jb

Bocco is not coming to Chesterfield he priced himself out offer withdrawn

Saying the same thing ten times doesn't make it true. His signing will be announced this week

Mark Schwarzer linked with a return to middlesbrough. Personally I would lov him back

I don't think he'll come back. He's a Premier League class goalkeeper.

Ha ha I've been waiting for someone to make this one up. Total rubbish mate

I bet you that in a few days time it will come up.

Hes now third choice at fulham so why wouldn't he?

Schwarzers announced today that he's leaving Fulham and is actively seeking another club, but doesn't want to move abroad due to his kids being settled in school.

3rd choice at Fulham? I'm sure he was their number 1 keeper all last season and he's left Fulham now. So don't have a clue where that person made that up from? 3rd choice HAHAAAA

BORO are set to sign him and bring him back up to the North-East.

Who made that up about him being 3rd choice! Haha there are some weird comments on here

05 Jun 2013 22:32:36
Hull are interested in free agent Simon Bolat if they fail to agree a price over Kasper Schmeichal

I think you mean SINAN Bolat. He's very good, if he's available for nothing then City should go for him. His wages would probably be higher than Kaspers though and he wouldn't have as good a re-sale value if we had to get rid.

He would not be on high wages in Belgium.

Yeah but he's older and on a bosman, ergo; highER wages than Kasper.

Derby County have agreed fees and personal terms with Russell and will have a medical on Monday, with the fee being undisclosed.

Source: tv and official Dundee United web site.

Looks like its Gary hooper all over again, Celtic look to have over taken us once again.

What^ did you not see the comment^^ Derby will sign him

Please do enlighten us as to how this is like Hooper in any way. Celtic aren't even interested! (according to every media outlet except the Scottish Record/Celtic Newsletter)

05 Jun 2013 22:20:10
Johnny russell has agreed terms and having a medical on monday derby

05 Jun 2013 22:18:43
Oh nicky bailey! signing a 2 year deal with charlton when he comes off holiday! danny hollands to swindon and stephans 1.4 mil to aston villa, mark gower already signed

Harriot-jackson, bailey, pritchard. expect that midefield next year

Danny Hollands would be a great swindon signing he was class last time he was here under paulo Dc

You obviuosly didn't see the semi final penalty v Swindon - don't think we want Nicky Bailey back in any position thanks - maybe you're mixing him up with Andy Reid? Anyway there's lots of midfield talent coming through the youth system with Bovver and Poyet. Want we need is a 30+ a season striker.

Sorry Bailey is a decent League 1 player. No more no less. Don't think that Middlesbrough fans held him in that high regard.

Is he free?
Great to see bailey back at the valley

Wouldn't mind that midfield nex year, but if bailey doesn't join it will probs be gower, I would prefer to sign a better right mid instead of Pritchard though

Would rather keep Danny Holland and let him try the championship again. Has heart, is commited and would be the best box to box midfielder in any League one team.
Bailey, love the goals last time round, not so impressed with your tendency to abandon ship at the first chance. Not what we're looking for!
Stephens, cracking footballer, loads of ability but would rather cash in.

I agree in that we need a proven 25 goal striker. We just don't have the money to buy one. Look at what Austin cost Burnley and Rhodes cost Blackburn. The thing to remember with Bailey is that he scored goals for us last time around. We need that from midfield, along with Jacko, in the abscence of a quality striker.

Ruben Bover was released some months ago and now plays for New York Red Bulls. One bad penalty does not make Nicky Bailey a bad player, he is far above a L1 player.

Having already wrote the comment above regards to the need for a 25 goal striker, it has been interesting to hear the other views. I think the one about him jumping ship is certainly something to think about.

I can't have these comments about Nicky jumping ship, I talked to him at the training ground after the transfer was agreed. Charlton needed the transfer money urgently, Nicky wanted to stay as he was settled in London and thought he owed the Club another season to get it back into the Championship.

Cash in on Stephens - Bailey scored goals but I felt he just hoofed the ball a lot of the time instead of a simple pass. Would like to keep Holland and get one more commanding centre midfielder with 3 more strikers. Possibly Hulse, Ebanks Blake. Would love Di santo who has just been released but his wages would be too much for us.

We have no idea what goes on behind the scenes (especially at Charlton!) but look at Baileys last two transfers and the teams he left Charlton and Southend. How many fans if either club felt he went because he had to and not because he couldn't wait to run away? If he wants to prove himself The Valley faithful would see him back. As I said we could do with his goals again but does he have the commitment?

Michael Laudrup set to resign as Swansea manager

It all rubbish

Let him won't be first won't be last

Let him go then

Does anyone else feel that this is just media nonsense again?

We keep our business pretty confidential and because the media don't get what they want, they do a lot of speculating and publish it!

Thing is, Laudrup would've been informed 'THE CLUB DOESN'T SPEND BEYOND ITS MEANS' upon taking the post on and would've had to agree with it.

With training facilities been developed and stadium expansion in the pipeline, I think it's fantastic that we are still looking at likely breaking transfer records this summer.

Laudrup would've been given a ball park figure months ago and that's what he's trying to work with.

The chairman and Laudrup probably haven't spoken for a week because Laudrup is on holiday. Maybe, just maybe!

He's not leaving

Its not rubish

The club always like to keep things quiet. The person most at fault for this situation is the agent. He needs to keep his mouth shut and stop releasing various statements through the media.

Thats all agents do is look after themselves and get the most money out of everyone as possible.

Is laudrup on his way out then or what? He won't have spoken to huw because he's abroad so all this speculation is coming from his agent.

Jinx and the board will have a plan anyway. Am sure they would take this in their stride. Yes as well as Laudrup he's brought in some top talent, but we got to the premier league without them. It would not be the end of the world if he goes, we've been through it enough times now. It was the end of the world when Martinez left and when Rogers left. Am sure it would be printed the same again.

All that being said, apparently Jinx has been on Holiday in Portugal, so no wonder there's been no comment. Let's just wait and see.

06 Jun 2013 14:34:33
There's something every bloody season. The whole situation reminds me of last season. Rumours mounted about rogers. Nobody came out and said any thing to quash the rumour. Everything snow balled and before we knew it he was off to Liverpool. I'm sick of hearing from laudrups bloody agent via twitter or whatever. It would be nice if someone came out and told the fans what's actually going on. At this rate we'll be looking for a new manager before we can even think about new signings. Would be nice to have some stability for a change.

I reckon he's using this as an excuse. Either because he feels he'll be found out next season or he's trying to worm out of the 10 m compensation fee that another club would need to pay.

Laudrup isn't leaving, him and huw been on holidays, they have spoke on phone, only real news is canas signed

Michael laudrup is going no where fact he's just signed Jose canas from real Betis he wouldn't have joined if laudrup was leaving he's joing swansea because of laudrup! This is paper talk rubbish!

So yet again swansea are set to struggle as teams have "found them out. " Some people seriously need to get a grip

It all bobo fett to me hj was sayin Tht transfers were frustrating this season but there plenty of players neways

Laudrups statement today doesn't exactly settle things down. Don't know what his problem is. The transfer market not open yet. Plus he knew the situation when he arrived last summer and when he signed a new contract. Something dodgy going on if you ask me.

Huw is imo kind of a skinflint, who has to adapt to reality. Obviously things are happening to quickly for him. He is clearly not keeping pace with the time. He has to react more quickly in the transfer market.
Going on holiday when his most important work has to be done, that's beyond me.

Leave huw alone, the transfer market hasn't even opened yet, so that blows that in the water. Also Laudrup was on holiday as well

05 Jun 2013 22:13:29
Tranmere have signed Ryan Lowe and Gareth Roberts.
Alan Lee and Stephen Foster are next to sign

He's in Dubai so rubbish

If this were true we would be turning into a retirement home, why would the club sign players at the end of their career. I would only take lowe out of all of them on a 1 year deal as backup.

05 Jun 2013 22:05:26
paul smith ryan cresswell sean clohessy and gavin tomlin all to leave southend utd

Ryan Cresswell is signing for Fleetwood apparently!

Yohan Mollo in advanced discussions with Fulham also Amalfitano to join Fulham on season loan

Sako deal also imminent for Jol's men

Pierre Hundium

05 Jun 2013 22:01:17
Tom Soares has been persuaded to join Preston as Simon Grayson continues to strengthen for his promotion push.

Bury have again missed out as they couldn't compete with the much bigger club.

Promotion push?

Were'nt PNE fans saying exactly the same thing about Westley last season.

Pure speculation not proof this is mere rumour.

The calibre of signings BFC make in their opening weeks of this so called revolution will let us the fans know what the level of ambition is really like.

I'm beginning to think it's all looking like a big con this take over and investment.

More likely than the lad from Port Vale but he seems a troubled soul And he didn't do all that much for Bury last season.

Soares not good enough for PNE

06 Jun 2013 19:01:27
Eh? He was brilliant for Bury! One of only 2/3 players who performed last season. He's a class act.

We don't need another winger

What is the top comment talking about? Course PNE fans were talking of a promotion push. Its the whole point of a football league. What would be the point if you didn't want to achieve promotion or the title?

Bury fans don't usually apply logic to arguments so that probably explains it

05 Jun 2013 21:59:50
Ryan Lowe, David Amoo and Dan Taylor set to sign for Bury this week.

Correct

Are these positive signings?, I ask myself.
Amoo couldn't crack it at P. N. E. or Tranny rovers and was average at best when he played on loan with us.

05 Jun 2013 21:51:16
Morecambe fc have signed Tony Diagne
on a two year deal at the club today

Thats not a rumour, that's a fact. and a wonderful signing for the Shrimps.

05 Jun 2013 21:50:40
Everton are in talks with De Guzman's agent about a possible move, could be Martinez's first signing.

No James McCarthy will be first signing

05 Jun 2013 21:43:01
Long shot but kieran Westwood to join shrewsbury on loan for next season with a option to buy peremantly from sunderland

It's that much of a long shot William Tell couldn't hit it

We have a brill keeper in Weale

05 Jun 2013 21:38:51
Crystal Palace make an approach for Blackpool duo Tom Ince and Matt Philips.

Cant see either of them wanting to join Palace.

Don't get me wrong I think both will leave Pool in the summer for big money.

But both want a club that's going to be in the Prem next season. and I doubt that will be Palace.

Well good luck getting them because I don't think they will go to palace

06 Jun 2013 07:56:01
Love the comment that both with want a club in the premiership next season. Hello, Palace are going to be a premiership club next year. Ian Holloway must also know a thing or two having signed them and must have a strong belief they might come, although Phillips is the more likely.

Matt Philips yeah but Ince will end up at a bigger club

Palace are premiership.

I think that by "in the prem next season" he means staying up

Surely Holloway could ask his wife who to sign? That's how he got about 25 "development team" players that have just been released having never played a first team game for us.

Raiding Blackpool because the person can't find good players on his own.

You both know what the guy meant, they will be going down.

05 Jun 2013 21:33:37
Tubbs is unsure of his future amid rumours from both oxford and rotherham

Go to Oxford, we don't want you.

Can't exactly see Oxford affording an £800,000 striker. League 1 clubs must be after him.

Matt Tubbs I wanted by ALL real Rotherham Fans, trust me.

Come and join the NYS

If you don't want Tubbs you are nuts, excellent striker at league 1 and 2 level.

06 Jun 2013 14:02:45
Season long loan maybe for oxford and a lot of league 1 clubs can't afford thst either

06 Jun 2013 14:30:06
Oxford are linked with a loan deal

It's about time we knew about Tubbs as it has been a strong rumour and confirmed interest for over 12 months now.

Tubbs isn't coming, his family dodnt want to move North.

05 Jun 2013 21:22:24
Zavon Hines to leave Bradford and join L Orient

Nathan Doyle also to Leave to sign for Huddersfield

Matt Duke going to Southend

Bradford are then hoping to sign Jason Kennedy from Rochdale Nick Bailey just released from Boro and also trying to persuade Marlon Pack to join from Cheltenham after agreeing a compensation package with the Robins

Nicky Bailey will most likely sign for a Championship club.

Doyle does not fit in with Deanos ideas, Average league two player imo

05 Jun 2013 20:45:20
Bradford City in talks with recently released M'boro midfielder Nicky Bailey

05 Jun 2013 20:37:22
Don Rowing and David Flitcroft tell local Radio that they're a step closer to signing Chris O'Grady, despite Barnsley's original offer failing, it looks as if he'll be a Reds player after all, along with Jon Stead

Good but I don't see how ogrady and stead could play togather

Just get ogrady

O greydi and stead would be a decent partnership up front. Just tgen need another forward and we'll be ok for naxt seasin.

05 Jun 2013 20:33:33
Shrewsbury are set to re-sign striker Ryan Lowe next week. COYB

No chance- Already agreed terms with Bury and set to sign tomorrow/Friday

Ryan has expressed wants to move back up north and Bury look the hot favourites

Lowe is signing for at least 4 other clubs.

Over rated anyway and not prolific.

Not a chance, he wants to be back playing in the north west.

The last time I looked Shrewsbury Town were in Shropshire in the midlands.

He said North. Shrewsbury is North of Milton Keynes.

Rubbish he wouldn't want to come back

Not Prolific! Have you seen his league 2 record? 18 goals in a relegated Chester side and 28 for Bury when we went up.

05 Jun 2013 20:27:00
Cardiff set to bid 6 million for Tom ince

Hopefully we'll get him but remember both liverpool and reading have already bid 8million each

Hes really good so hope cardiff get him so ince and bellamy and the side and campbell and maynard upfront {Ed003's Note - B'pool want more than £6m}

There has 2 be truth behind this I just saw that Cardiff are about to bid on tv online be an amazing signing an show the rest of the
Prem we mean business!

Ed they may want more than 6million but won't as he only has 1 year left on his contract

I agree if Rvp didn't have a year left when utd signed him he wouldve cost double! Why lose him for free makes no sense red bird your clueless!

05 Jun 2013 19:47:40
Derby have now confirmed reports from Dundee United that the clubs have agreed an undisclosed fee (believed to be around £750,000) for striker Johnny Russell. Personal terms have also been agreed with the player, who has a medical at Moor Farm on Monday. Looks like it's going to happen, COYR!

Some good teams linked with him in the past so hopefully he does well.

Obviously Celtic and Catania but also premier league sides, I understand Everton enquired. Also Huddersfield had a double player bid rejected. Bolton had interest too.

So yep, hope he does well

£750, 00 for Johnny Russell? I think he's worth more than that, maybe 3 million would be a fair price? (Manchester City Fan)

Cmon let's be realistic your a Man City fan. You've never paid under the odds for anyone.

Shows a nice change to Derby's recruitment policy, signing a quality player for a decent sum, in this case for what seems a bargain (only time will tell whether he achieves what promise he has)

He only has a year left on his contract hence the low transfer fee

05 Jun 2013 18:38:51
Walsall rumours
Accrington midfielders Romuald Boco and Amine Linganzi
Wigan striker Filip Orsula
Bury goalkeeper Cameron Belford
Bristol City goalkeeper Lewis Carey
Afc Wimbledon defender Pim Balkestein

Dean Holden and Febian Brandy are going to turn down new contracts and leave the Banks's stadium
Jamie Paterson is close to joining Huddersfield for a deal worth over one million pounds

A swindon fan is under the illusion that Louis Carey ain't a keeper?

Two louis careys, one goalkeeper one defender, both had contracts at BCFC until goalkeeper released,

That would be because the name written was Lewis Carey, as in the young goalkeeper, not Louis Carey, the experienced defender

Louis carey- defender but lewis carry is a goaly

Louis Carey ain't
Lewis Carey are
ooh ahhh

A young keeper not an ageing defender

Pim Balkestein got released, I doubt you will want him

Ex Bury fc goalkeeper Cameron Belford, he left a while back.

Dean Holden signs new one year contract. Verified on OS.

Dean Holden has signed a new contract at Walsall so that doesn't help the reliability of your source

Lewis Carey is an 18 year old goal keeper that's only ever played on loan at non league clubs. He was realeased at the end of the season.

Louis Carey is a 36 year old Bristol City legendary defender. He had his contract extended and is only about 5 games off being our record ever appearences.

It would be nice to see young Lewis get a club in the football league.

Dean holden as a new deal at walsall as player and pro development coach so now he want be turning down a contract

All garbage. proven by Dean Holden just signing his new contract at Walsall!

06 Jun 2013 10:49:15
Holden's signed a contract extension today, so we can completely rubbish this rumour, Next.

Orsula has been released by Wigan so could be some legs in that part

05 Jun 2013 19:39:41
David Lopez and Gary Dicker heavily linked with 'Boro.

Ebanks-Blake to be confirmed when the window officially opens.

Certain rumours surrounding Luke James (Hartlepool) and Nahki Wells (Bradford)

Well that excites me (NOT!)

Lost Poolie

05 Jun 2013 19:30:14
When Portsmouth manager Guy Whittingham gets back from his holiday, three new players are set to sign contracts with Johnny Ertl and Liam walker coming back to the club and also former Barnet player Ricky Holmes will sign.

Liam walker will sign after preseason as he has to prove himself

Three "New" players?

Who's the three new players?

I know he is a saints player who has been released but Ben reeves would be a great player to sign. Don't think he would be on silly money.

05 Jun 2013 19:26:17
Ash Taylor will join Doncaster from Tranmere within the next week.

05 Jun 2013 21:04:27
Not saying it's implausible, but he has 2 years on his contract so you'd better have a fat cheque ready!

Donny have now been linked with 3x Tranmere players by the end off the summer they should have be linked with all in the squad.

Taylor is entering the last year of his contract, he signed a 2 year deal last summer

Please let anyone take him. awful!

05 Jun 2013 19:10:06
Paddy madden is in talks with Middlesbrough about a possible move to the riverside

Surely they have to agree a fee with Yeovil first?

05 Jun 2013 18:29:23
Cheltenham have missed out on the signing of Fabian Broghammer. Broghammer opted to extend his contract at Bristol Rovers.

No disrespect but cheltenham were never going to get him.

Not even sure Cheltenham need him anyway

Dont think he is good enough for town

Dont think he is good enough for town

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nice dig. that question will be answered next season.

05 Jun 2013 18:44:45

05 Jun 2013 18:33:26
stoke city set to bring in carlton cole as a replacement for swansea bound kenwyne jones

You can keep Kenwyne thanks!

Hughes can't seriously believe Carlton cole is a premier league player surely.

Highly doubt either of these will take place, I think Cole will either go Hull or Forest and Jones will stay if not go abroad.

Stoke are apparently moving forward in a new direction I can only see this as a step backwards he's useless

Swans aren't signing jones

NO! NO! NO! He was a pulis target. Majority of the fans would be gutted if this happened

Stoke won't sign Cole - been there before and his wage demands (and ego) are astronomical

I expect him to go but I'd love us to keep KJ.

Especially under Hughes who plays 2 up front and a system heavily reliant on wingers. Balls coming into the box are bread and butter for him. Pulis played him on his own up top, with Walters and Shotton on the wings!

I'm hoping shotton will be sold by hughes. He's not a premier league player. He makes too many mistakes defensively and is poor going forward.

Shotton is a good young player.

Shotton is awful, has one half decent game in ten, only in the squad to show the academy hasn't failed completely in the last 5 years

05 Jun 2013 18:30:06

ipswich have signed jay tabb and are looking to land former wolves pair ebanks blake and berra

Ebanks Blake is signing for boro

Please sign EBanks Blake so we (Boro) cant. We don't need another crock.

Ebanks blake said he would prefer to move closer to home wich is cambridge so ipswich are closest

With McCartht after a proven goalscorer and close ties to SEB. this transfer is definitely on the cards. I just see wages / SEB's injury a stumbling block. Pay as he play contract maybe?

From what boro fans say, they are signing everyone

05 Jun 2013 18:03:21
bradley wright phillips to sign for orient by saturday

05 Jun 2013 18:01:12
Tranmere are close to announcing the signing of a striker with local boy Ryan Lowe the likely name.

Thats 4 teams he's signing for - there ought to be a rule preventing it

05 Jun 2013 21:55:57
Hope so!

In your dreams Tranny, Lowey has bigger ambitions and allegiances to another North west team.

Mk Dons didn't want him to join Tranny last season as they were promotion rivals in January what's changed?.

Whats changed, he's a freebie

Heard Lowe would rather join a team on the up such as TRFC than stay at MK who will struggle next season due to falling attendances and budget cuts.

05 Jun 2013 17:14:44
notts county set to sign indian striker chetri on a 2yr deal

Isn't he a spin bowler that chetei? He should be good for us up front!

That would be cool

Naan can't see that happening I would not be very chutney

05 Jun 2013 16:17:52
Southampton will announce the signing of Yevhen Konoplyanka from Dnipro early next week. The Ukraine international midfielder will cost in the region of 10.5 million euros.

Would love this to be true he is top class

One season in the prem and they think they are attracting European starlets already. Smell the coffee guys

Monaco have just gone up from the second tier in France and are signing players like Falcao when they aren't as rich as us. I'm not saying that means we can sign everyone we want in Europe, but it doesn't mean we can't sign anyone at all at that level either.

His current coach placed a price tag of 50-60 million euro's 2 years ago so doubt it.

Yes of course, when teams place price tags on a player it's never just an attempt to put other teams off. Also, are you seriously suggesting that this guy is worth the same money as Falcao?!

Monaco are richer than us (saints)

"Smell the coffee".?
So your one of them that was saying this time last year that we had no chance of getting Gaston Ramirez and said we would have no chance of staying in the prem etc etc etc.

People seem to think we can not back up our ambitions.
We came into our money and invested in the youth system and scouting system. We didn't go out and spend it all in one go on players and claim we could win the league.

You are right, people need to "smell the coffee" but those people are not Saints fans. As Saints fans we KNOW what we can do.

All the doubters have been wrong so far, and long may that continue.

"One season in the prem and they think they are attracting European starlets already. Smell the coffee guys" Who are you talking to? It was one person posting a rumour, not every saints fan.

06 Jun 2013 11:11:40
To the joker that "said one season in the prem and they think they think and so on" we create Scarlett's, therefore we attract Scarlett's. you probably support a side that has a former saints star it's team and are jealous because you have to buy stars a big money putting you club further and further in debt. Financial fare play next year! Oh dear! Lol

I'm not suggesting this guy costs as much as Falcao and it doesn't really matter if Monaco are richer we're still incredibly rich. My point is that not everyone who you lot seem to think are top European will reject Southampton as we have the money and have established ourselves in the top flight once rather than only just gaining promotion.

Konoplyanka is hardly all that. 6 goals and 7 assists from 37 games last season playing in the Ukraine league? At 23, I'd hardly say he would set the EPL alight.
I reckon it's more likely that he wants to come to Saints than that they want him.

By the way fellow Saints fans, who cares about who is richer than who? To be honest, I'd rather have a team in the EPL than the French league. France is more into rugby.

European starlets? Not sure what age you stop being a starlet but do you mean like Gaston Ramirez?

Making uninformed and ignorant comments like "Monaco aren't as rich as us" is just plain dumb and does us no favours. Does the fact Monaco have splashed £85 mill on 3 players and are owned by a Russion MULTI billionaire not suggest a whiff of cash in the air to you?

Who cares who is the richest. stability is what sainits need. if we have the money to push on up the league fantastic. nas for the comment the french prefer rugby um world cup winners 1998 and euro's 2000 plus countless world class players, get a grip.

Southampton are backed by billionaires we just don't spend to that extent while we easily have the spending power. The Leibherrs are multi-billionaires but just not Russian. My point wasn't really about Monaco though my point was really that Monaco is just proving that big players can go to clubs that have only recently joined a top flight. That doesn't mean we can sign Falcao by any extent of the imagination, just means we are realistically in contention for SOME European players. Again, I'm not saying everyone would accept playing for us.

(european starlets?)

he probably also means, clyne shaw lallana mayuka forren rodriguez wardprowse and ramirez in all honesty all youngsters too, but I would imagine like so many others you haven't got a bloody clue about the team your commenting on

st stuie

It doesn't matter who the richest club owner is. They can be the richest people on the planet but unless they are willing to invest it means nothing. Look at qpr, they signed one big player and a fat ugly manager

Saints may have rich owners but wake up and smell the coffee it's a business and when the time is right it will be sold on. I cannot see the club splashing to much cash unless someone is sold or the dead wood is moved on we need to increase the ground capacity to 40000.

Sixty odd years ago Sunderland purchased all the best players around and it didn't work out. The most important thing besides quality is team spirit which Adkins had at the club. I don't want saints to go broke again.

I am a saints fan but you have to give credit to lambert the Aston villa manage who kept faith in his players and was proved to be right. Money doesn't always buy success.

I quite agree stability is what saints need, success doesn't come overnight. Look 12 miles down the road to see what happens when you spend big & our club in the past.

"wake up and smell the coffee" is really starting to be my most hated phrase from this site.

Agreement has been reached between Rotherham United and Bournemouth to bring striker Matthew Tubbs to the Yorkshire Club for a fee believed to be circa £300K with clauses etc.

05 Jun 2013 19:37:21
Tubbs has come out in the media and said he isn't interested in moving away from the south coast at his age.

Don't think an agreement has been made as of yet. Think the player has a number of options, Rotherham may be one of them but it is reported a couple of other clubs are certainly interested. I also understand that being in the South is a preference? Crawley are interested and also Oxford United, though the latter may not be able / want to pay big wages. ut i'm sure a decision in next week or so as players are only 2 - 3 weeks away from pre season training ec

I know this one has been doing the rounds since last summer, but are there any players not being linked to RUFC this summer?

05 Jun 2013 21:15:19
so bournemouth going to take 500k loss on him

06 Jun 2013 00:26:42
No they're not because they didn't pay anything like £800k for him. Don't believe all you read. £300k would be about break even

The 800k was subject to minimum appearances and goals, neither of which have been triggered. Evans sold us Tubbs he would know how much we paid and what we would want as a return.

Rotherham have denied any interest in Cody McDonald

Not all Rotherham fans want him as me and a number of others are fans (not 'plastics') and we do not want him as he demands a large fee for someone who is 28 and will start to loose his pace when he never really was a quick player and he hasn't cut it at Bourmouth which are top end League 1, where we want to be.
He was once a good player and if we do get him I hope he can return to how he use to perform but too big a risk for us when we can invest in much you ger promising lads such as:
Simon Church
Rory Donnelly
Cody McDonald
Lyle Taylor

Lyle taylor your regret it tubbs is a far more quality player soz to see you go tubbsy

Port Vale contract rebel Sam Morsy is heading to Mansfield in order to get first team football, he will join former team mate John McCombe.

Good luck sam tackling is part of the game ball winers don't get it spot on all the time

06 Jun 2013 04:11:21
Are Mansfield really port vale reserves in disguise, just look at the amount of ex vale players they have.

Apparently turned mansfield down looking for a bigger club burton have come in for him, pvfctillidie

05 Jun 2013 17:29:16
Very tentative rumour, but have heard that Kaspars Gorkss is looking for a move away from Reading as his first team chances appear limited next season and a return to Blackpool or Wolves where he had a loan spell may be on the cards.

Hope not to wolves.

Worst centre back I have ever seen in a wolves shirt. Heard some good reports from Reading fans when he signed so it took me by surprise seeing just how bad he was.

Its like he was running in treacle last season at Wolves.

He was a good signing for Reading and played very well in his first season. I suppose you could say the same about Kevin Doyle as he was a brilliant signing and was always good. Wolves seem to ruin Reading players.

We ruin all sorts of players, it's nothing personal to Reading

05 Jun 2013 16:59:50
Torquay chasing free agent Anyinsah (recently released by Bristol Rovers

Isn't he off to Newport?

05 Jun 2013 16:55:08
John-Joe O'Toole reported to have agreed a contract with Bristol Rovers and announcement expected this week

05 Jun 2013 17:28:58
Hearing from my sources that Manchester United will spend up to 80 million pound on transfers to maintain there name of being premier league champions. Targets include strootman, Baines and even ronaldo depending on his contract situation. You watch,
A reliable man

Moyes v Mourinho

05 Jun 2013 17:28:34
Roberto Martinez to make Mohammed Diame first Everton signing

05 Jun 2013 16:44:49
Crystal Pakace are expected to approach Stoke over the availability of their forward Cameron Jerome.

Stoke ain't going to have any players left at this rate lol.

And Charlie Adam

No chance. May have the right money to buy Adam but Jerome will be part of our plans next season. He'll cost at least £5million and we have no pressure to sell

05 Jun 2013 16:42:18
Burton to sign Mamady Sidibe on a free after release by Stoke I believe and also sign Rich Cresswell from Southend and Derbys' James Bailey.

one up front, one midfield and one defender, just need a goalie now!

(and a winger, a couple of fullbacks and a creative spark to get things going! Up the Brewers!).

Utter rubbish!

Bailey will not drop down to league 2

Doubt you'd get bailey but if you did v good for you

I am a Stoke fan but occasionally go and watch Burton Albion play and I would so love to see these to players for them especially mama.

You Can't Sign Rich Cresswell From Us. Because He Doesn't Exist.

Check Your Sources And Names Before You Post.

The Name Is Ryan Cresswell.

Richard Cresswell doesn't exist? damn who was I seeing at Stoke then all them years ago well 8 or so.

Well its' 'whoever' Cresswell and big Mamady for sure.!

Why would they get Sidibe when he has been injury prone, think it would be a gamble myself

05 Jun 2013 16:10:39
Left Back Brayan Alexis Angulo Len of Granada may be on his way to Watford with his current club looking to bring in Chilean Eugeno Mena

1+1 does not always equal 3. Its true Granada have bought a new left back the Chilean International Mena. So why would Granada not keep Leon as competition?

Read udinese blog, gino pozzo has said there will be no movement of players between the three teams that are in the first teams as they want to consolidate granada in la liga

That is settled players

05 Jun 2013 16:27:36
Brian stock and clayton Donaldson will sign in the next 2 weeks also dan seabourne and apparently a championship ship striker {Ed029's Note - For who?

Based on the players I'd guess Bournemouth?

I'm guessing Bournemouth

05 Jun 2013 18:22:22
Think he means Bournemouth. As a Bournemouth fan, don't want Stock back, definitely don't want Seabourne but think Donaldson would give us a different option.

05 Jun 2013 21:16:21
Middlesbrough

06 Jun 2013 00:27:48
Middlesborough what?

05 Jun 2013 16:01:17
Oxford United in advanced talks with Scunthorpe United and ex-Swindon Town left-back Callum Kennedy.

Recent arrival of Jonathan Meades from AFC Bournemouth is thought to hold the left-hand side of midfield at the Kassam Stadium, whilst Kennedy fills the left-back position.

Meades won't play left midfield. He will play left sided centre midfield. And that's what OUFC described him as when he signed.

06 Jun 2013 08:25:21
I think Gavin Williams, recently released by Yeovil, would be a good signing. He has got the experience which would help down in league 2

05 Jun 2013 15:59:49
Reuben Reid to re join Plymouth on loan.

Would be good to have him back, with the confidence, he can rebuild his career with Argyle.

The article claims it will be on loan, but Gary Johnson doesn't say what kind of deal it will be but says the deal was agreed at the end of last season.

No other rumors coming out of Home Park? 06 of June and no signings and rumors starting to really slow down. worrying

Most players are still on holiday and don't even consider signing until they are back, It's not even preseason yet. So much time.

05 Jun 2013 15:59:41
David Amoo expected to join Bury this week

05 Jun 2013 15:58:40
Rochdale want Jon Paul Mcgovern on a free transfer

Good player underated at Carlisle he was our top assists too good for Rochdale

05 Jun 2013 16:31:13
Johnny Russells agent in talks with DCFC.

05 Jun 2013 16:30:51
Been told by a source up north that dave whealan will pay anything possible and offer 30k a week to bournemouth manger eddie howe as a bournemouth fan I hope this isit true for god sake

05 Jun 2013 16:55:04
I hope not but Eddies got huge appeal & promise, especially for a team like Wigan. Like AFCB a 'smaller' club etc. Hope not though. I think Eddie does owe us a bit of loyalty now, at least for a Season or two. UTCIAD

As Eddie Howe and his wife were unhappy living in Lancashire, when he was manager at Burnley and moved back to the south coast. It would seem unlikely for them to consider moving north again so soon after moving from Burnley.

However the reasons for his move back to Bournemouth may not be quite as simple as was stated at the time.

05 Jun 2013 19:56:29
Dave Whelan would be better speaking to Mrs Howe
After all she could not settle in the North

05 Jun 2013 21:22:11
Rumour has it Eddie has to slash wage bill from last seAson in prep for ffp, from a player Eddie wanted,

The "couldn't settle" thing was an excuse to get out of burnley as Eddie saw the club were sinking fast and in a financial state. Bournemouth had recently come into lots of money so it was an easy swap

05 Jun 2013 16:12:09
Port Vale are looking to complete a number of deals over the next fortnight. First to arrive will be Darren Carter on a free transfer from Cheltenham Town. Deals for Richard Taundry (Walsall), Damien Mozika (Scunthorpe) and Luke Foster (Preston) will follow shortly after.

05 Jun 2013 23:51:59
from a walsall fan. don't get taundry he is dreadful mid table league 2 team at best.

Mozika always injured for us last season but when fit is a good player

From a Scunthorpe fan. mozika will be a cracking signing

Luke Foster now a free agent.

Is that the Mozika who wouldn't play for Chester a few years back?

05 Jun 2013 16:10:53
As I stated a number of weeks ago shirtliff will leave bury and Blackwell no 2 at Leeds will take is place

05 Jun 2013 16:41:50

Nope wrong yes Shirty has left the club but Ronnie The rocket Jepson is our new assistant manager.

What I meant was no 2 to Warnock at leeds

05 Jun 2013 16:05:31
Alex Pearce has this afternoon agreed a two year contract extension with Reading after they offered to match Adrian Mariappa's £28,000 a week wages. This should be announced by Friday.

Really really hope this isn't true. He's a greedy b*****d and isn't worth the money!

There's no way Maps is on £28K a week. Only Pogs wages are that high. {Ed029's Note - Mariappa was believed to be on that in the Premier League, with Guthrie, Federici and Pogrebnyak on more. The latter totalled £60k a week with a pad in Kensington inclusive. Relegation clauses are included however.

Dont think this is ture mate and hope it isnt. we have offered him 9 deals altogther he just greedy let him leave and get someone else I say. what do other reading fans think?

Pog's definitely not on 60K a week. That was just a rumour.

If someone you worked with earned more than you, you would do the same. Hold out for more money or leave for another job. Why is football any different? Sign Alex Pearce up and sell him on next season for more money. Why are people so fickle when it comes to football. It’s a business just like any other!

06 Jun 2013 12:15:12
get rid of him, and bring in sunzu instead, or maybe scott dann if we could get him, need a quality centre back, I think morrison is a very good player, and has a lot of potential, mariappa is good, but I don't think he's anything to special. what annoys me about reading is we spent like 2 and a half million quid on gunter, when we shouldve gone for clyne, as he was cheaper, and twice the player

Ok so by your logic every player should demand the same as the highest earner. I'm pretty sure we won't be hearing about Fabio walking into David Moyes office and demanding the same wages as Wayne Rooney.

You should be paid what the club thinks you're worth. If you don't like it go look for another club but I can guarantee you Alex Pearce will not get the £25K a week that Reading offered him at another club and that Newcastle and Liverpool will not take him.

05 Jun 2013 16:01:21
Everton expected to announce the signing of Shaun Moloney next week

Mcmanaman not Maloney

05 Jun 2013 18:17:42
expect neither

Neither will join Everton, Maloney is staying put, McManaman is injured for 3 months and won't be back in action until Sept/Oct. If he goes it won't be until Jan.

05 Jun 2013 15:58:06
Bournemouth are preparing a bid to bring Iain Hume in from Preston

05 Jun 2013 19:32:46
hume won't move south he is staying at preston

Grayson has already said that Hume WILL NOT be coming back to PNE.

Cant afford his wages

When did Grayson say this?

There has been absolutely no comments made on Hume as of yet

Grayson hasn't said that

06 Jun 2013 11:01:09
Grayson as never said hume won't be coming back to preston, they are due for talks when hume returns from a family holiday get the facts right before you post

Grayson's never said Hume's leaving. it's likely he'll stay with us if we can free up wage space by selling Procter, Beardsley and Robertson

05 Jun 2013 15:52:11
Man City on the verge of signing of Fernandinho

05 Jun 2013 15:51:49
Bradford City are in talks with Southend Striker Gavin Tomlin. He can also play on both wings and as a CAM.

05 Jun 2013 19:04:41
City also in talks with highly rated Southend right back Sean Clohessy

Not in talks with Clohessy. Our right back is our best player, why would we release him?!

Because Bradford are in a higher league, so if he has any ambition, he will want to move on asap.

05 Jun 2013 15:43:32
Mauricio Pochettino is trying to lure experienced fellow countryman Martn Demichelis to join him at Southampton. The Malaga player is out of contract at the end of June and Will cost Southampton nothing if he agrees to join

Thought he had already agreed to go back to Argentina. River Plate I think.

^ nope he's still in malaga

st stuie

He is keen to rejoin River Plate. Also Astori is supposed to be unveiled next week as saints signing. They had signed a mutual agreement in January that he could join in the summer while cagliari find a replacement. That would mean Astori alongside either Yoshida, Hoitveld (can't spell his name), Fonte or Forren. So as you can see we only need one extra CB

05 Jun 2013 15:28:15
David Friio is set to rejoin Argyle as a head scout or CEO position, depending on further talks.

J-ME

05 Jun 2013 15:26:02
city are set to bid 3 million for readings Adam Lefondre and their young centre back morrison.

bruce is also interested in figeroa as well all know but with stoke making a late offer, bruce may turn his attentions to danny rose.

callum

Danny Rose is far too big. If spurs are selling they would be looking at least £7 million. I think he'll go to sunderland

05 Jun 2013 18:34:57
don't think so mate he's spending all this money on mids and strikers

05 Jun 2013 19:39:49
which city there are lots of them you know?

No.
Lefondre is worth 5 million
Morrison is worth around 4

You won't gat alfie pal he will be banging the goals in for us to get us back up.

05 Jun 2013 15:26:02
city are set to bid 3 million for readings Adam Lefondre and their young centre back morrison.

ha that the rumour on the school bus was it? You couldn't get Morrison by himself for 3 million.

3 mill maybe for morro but no le fondre and certainly not both. plus probs won't sell anyway

Theres not lots of City's that are managed by Bruce

It will take a lot more than £3m to get both Le Fondre and Morrison. Try £10m and we may start talking

10mil for Morrison and Le Fondre? Ha maybe 6 or 7mil for the pair. Morrison is young and unproven and Le Fondre will never be a 20 goal a season striker in the prem.

He got 13 from the bench. Imagine what he'd do in a team that can create chances for him.

He made 37 appearances and scored 14 how many more games does he need?

05 Jun 2013 14:28:26
Hearing that Southampton are hoping to sign Caulker from Spurs for around 8-10 million, and also Adrian from Athletico Madrid for around 8. can't see them both happening, but these would both be amazing signings!

05 Jun 2013 16:13:16
As a saints fan I can't see Caulker joining us. He's the best young English centreback around. Surely Spurs will want to keep him and build their defence around him?

Of course we are not going to get Caulker!? He is a regular at spurs and knocking on the England door! Don't be ridiculous. Stop showing us up with posts like this!

Dont spurs also have kabuol dawson and vertongen, can't see him getting past them anytime soon especially as those lads will be on top dollar, seems like a pretty reasonable post for a young second choice player to become a first choice player for a much richer team to me, I hope its true

QPR to sign Peter Crouch this summer.

05 Jun 2013 15:11:22
Kevin Phillips can last a season longer and he is 11yrs older
Anyway Kevin phillips is signing for bury as player coach for next season

These posts about Bury get better and Better. Will he be getting some new furniture just like the reception as part of the deal?

He'll have bigger clubs that Bury in for his signature.

He may get better offers than Bury fc but where does he see himself in the future beyond his playing days?.

All of this fuss about furniture maybe we could get DFS in as a sponsor next season.

05 Jun 2013 15:09:53
Damien Reeves is close to agreeing a deal with Wrexham fc. I'm an alty fan and i've spoke to someone who works at the ground. Should be confirmed next monday

05 Jun 2013 15:05:08
Kilmarnock set sign ex Celtic captain Stephen McManus

Doubt it, he maybe $H1t but he's at the peak of career arguably so he can probs see himself in England for a bit longer and Killie won't be able to match his boro wages anyway

05 Jun 2013 19:48:00
He will sign a short term deal at Dundee

05 Jun 2013 14:43:46
Derby have made a contract offer to out-of-contract defender Matt Kilgallon, who was with Sunderland last season.
Also, Watford seem reluctant to let Craig Forsyth leave; therefore the Rams may switch their attentions to Doncaster left-back Tommy Spurr.

05 Jun 2013 16:59:26
Most likely Killgallon will go to Ipswich, MM had a chat about coming south, says he will make his mind up after his return from holiday

We need to keep tommy spurr next season

I would be very surprised if Watford are 'reluctant to let Craig Forsyth leave'. It may be that we just want to make sure we've got an LWB coming in before a squad player departs

Spurr wants to stay at Donny but needs to sort out personal terms.

05 Jun 2013 14:42:37
Reading are looking at bringing a couple of left backs in to the squad.

Their first choice is young attacking left back and Nigel Adkins first choice is George Taft from Leicester City who he feels can be Reading's equivalent of Luke Shaw.

They are also keen on Jernade Meade who was recently released by Arsenal.

Big step up for the young lad. I'll be interested to see if this one develops any further.

Meade is signing for AFC Wimbledon following talks with Neil Cox

06 Jun 2013 12:16:49
why would you go to wimbledon, when he could be playing championship football next season? it can't be to do with not wanting to move away, he wouldn't need to, its like 40 miles to reading from london

05 Jun 2013 14:40:49
Simon moore to nottingham forest. The young stopper has had a fantastic season with brentford and will be making the step up to the city ground. On a 3 year deal.

Could be a good keeper, but hope darlow doesn't get frozen out.

05 Jun 2013 14:37:20
Preston North End are looking at Emmanuel Ledesma who is on the transfer list at Middlesborough as they are looking at an attacking midfielder and are also looking at Adam Morgan of Liverpool on loan and another unnamed Premier League player on Loan and that will be it from Preston in the summer transfer market

05 Jun 2013 20:53:30
the other prem striker is james Vaughan according to Norwich fans but I can't see it, we will get rudd back on loan for the season

BIG COMING OUT OF POSH - and that is that St Ledger has just signed a two- year deal a POSH. POSH are also in the hunt for JAMIE VARDY of leicester and Harry Forrester or Brentford. Also departing London Road is Gabby Zakuani who is going to Wigan for 500,000

05 Jun 2013 17:02:09

05 Jun 2013 14:32:49
Crystal Palace expect to clinch the signing of Peter Crouch in the next 48 hours.

You are having a laugh

Out of interest why are so many Stoke players being linked to palace. I understand why there is loads of Blackpool players but not Stoke.

Hopefully their not paying much for him.
A good under rated player in his day especially for England but has been poor for Stoke for a while.

No thanks. No truth in this whatsoever.

Love to see it, he most likely on mega money

Yeah he's part of the ground improvements at Selhurst park a new floodlight stansion.

Not a cat in hells chance - he is going to be a waste of money.

No thanks, he looked poor when we played them in the cup. Definitely not the sort of player we want.

Im a palace fan I can't see crouch going to palace he's on mega money and not the player he was a few years ago

Ryan Lowe will complete a move to Oldham this week

Nope he's already made up his mind that it's Tranny or The Shakers, time to make up your mind Ryan.

Too old, go back to Bury.

Shows how poor he is by wanting to go back to his ex clubs has no confidence in himself and he's not prolific anymore, that's maybe why Sheff Wed and Dons didn;t keep him.

Can;t even make the first team all the time and can;t even score 15 league goals.

Over rated striker these days and far better strikers around than Lowe.

As Johnny Russell closes in a move to Derby County, Dundee United will look to bring back David Goodwillie to the football club

05 Jun 2013 14:24:33
Steve Lomas to be confirmed as Millwall Manager on Friday

Could be a good move by Millwall as he might be able to bring a couple of Scottish players down with him. let's hope he plays with the ball on the ground as my neck has been aching from the football being played the last few years.

So we`re getting a guy who runs a pub team in scotland. forward thinking Millwall

Lomas done a good job with his 'pub team' so give the bloke a chance. We seem to do well with Scottish managers and he is supposed to be a top manager in the making so I see it as a positive move by the board. JB got it right last time don't forget.

05 Jun 2013 14:24:20
Hull City are looking to bring in Scott Carson or Steve Harper this summer

05 Jun 2013 16:01:18
McGregor or Schmeichal are the top options. May even go in for Schwarzer at Fulham as a cheaper option to Stockdale

05 Jun 2013 17:13:56
Shay given!

Bolat

05 Jun 2013 14:23:41
Morecambe midfielder Gary Macdonald has agreed to join Plymouth Argyle

05 Jun 2013 14:23:00
Stevenage looking to sign:

Chris Beardsley (Preston)
Joel Byrom (Preston)
Stacy Long (Free transfer)
Kevin Ellison (Morecambe)

Why Stacy Long, he got released by us and AFC Wimbledon

Ehy Beardsley more to the point, i'm a better striker than him

Big Kev signed a new contract and I doubt if he would want to play for Westley in any case.

I doubt Kevin Ellison will be leaving Morecambe as he has just signed a new one year contract.

I will drive beardsley and byrom to stevenage please take them awful players, in fact we will pay you to take them, throw in mousinho as well

05 Jun 2013 14:21:10
Sean St Ledger could be on the verge of a move to Wolves. Kenny Jackett is a huge admirer of the former PNE centre back

Noooooooooo

Bournemouth are interested in signing Dominic Poleon on loan from Leeds United

Poleon will not be loan out next season, will be pushing for place in leeds sqaud.

05 Jun 2013 14:19:40
Burnley to sign ex Preston and Southampton midfielder Richard Chaplow

And ex Burnley.

And more importantly, ex-Burnley.

Local lad like chaplow has been a bit injury prone though

He was brilliant for Saints.

Great player and would love to see the local lad back at Burnley

Good signing. Tremendous work rate but unlucky not to get into the team. Cork and Schneiderlin formed a good partnership.

Top player for saints. best of luck to him.

We and I repeat we do not want that s*** chaplow at turf moor he is a lazy boring player who is also arrogant s*** oh and to set the record straight who cares if Austin goes for free we paid £1, 2 mill for him and his goals could put us in prem and Watford I'll bet you your relagation tackle next term when you haven't got the loop hole to loan the team you borrowed

05 Jun 2013 14:17:31
Wolverhampton Wanderers have had two bids knocked back by PNE for striker Stuart Beavon. Kenny Jackett attempted to bring the striker to Millwall last season but the Preston board have said the striker is not for sale

Dream on. he can't even score goals in League 1.

I bet Kenny Jacket doesn't even know who Beavon is

05 Jun 2013 14:16:02
Former Porto and Inter winger Ricardo Quaresma is in talks with QPR

High wages

05 Jun 2013 14:12:29
Ricardo Fuller has received contract offers from Barnsley, Peterborough, Preston and MK Dons

Be very surprised if he gets an offer from Barnsley

He has not received an offer from Peterborough

He ain, t received an offer from Barnsley
Fact!

Is that the 34 year old Ricardo Fuller by any chance? Do me a favour, lend me a tenner until he signs for Peterborough.

Pboro lol he too old

Peterborough will not sign players of Fullers age especially for the money he will be expecting

He will not be coming to Barnsley because Barnsley have 3 bids in for strikers -
Chris O'Grady (Sheffield Wednesday fee tba)
Michael Higdon (Motherwell free)
John Stead (Bristol City free)

05 Jun 2013 21:32:25
I believe your chairman took the p--s out of a certain Yorkshire club 12 months ago now two of your players are leaving to join that club and the chairman is getting a new role as the coach at your club, they are going to take his teeth out and fit seats.

Hope he signs for peterborough would be a great addition to the squad

Explain please, quiet news day, like a bit of gossip

He's too good for MK.

05 Jun 2013 14:11:17
Accrington Stanley manager James Beattie is looking to sign Kevin Ellison from Morecambe

Accrington couldn't afford Big Kev's wages

05 Jun 2013 14:10:08
Norwich and England U21 goalkeeper Declan Rudd will finalise a season long loan to Preston North End when he returns from the tournament

Hope so rudd good keeper all we need is a striker and a creative midfielder

05 Jun 2013 16:41:04
yeah this will happen, norwich pretty much confirmed he would go out on loan again after his successful spell, he needs 1st team football

05 Jun 2013 14:09:20
Kasper Schmeichel is on the verge of a transfer to Hull City. The fee is believed to be around £6 million

Leicester want 4 million and the tigers bid 1. 25 million. Why the hell would they bid 2 million more than Leicester was after? Stay off the wacky backy pal.

Not true. Hull wouldn't pay £4m for Stockdale, who was their main target when last season ended. They won't pay over the odds for Schmeichel. Schwarzer or McGregor both look more likely.

05 Jun 2013 16:03:12
Latest bid was 1. 75m. Expect around 3m tops to be the transfer fee. No way are we paying 6m for a keeper

07 Jun 2013 04:46:44
Schmeicel nothing special. ANY team paying 4 million for him must be crazy, pearson is just trying it on.
Far better keepers around for half that.

Most of the Reading players want out now they are on the slide, maybe a few bargains around.

05 Jun 2013 14:08:14
Rotherham are looking to sign Garry Thompson and Keith Treacy

Treacy going to wednesday

05 Jun 2013 14:07:23
QPR are looking to sign:

Jordan Rhodes (£9-10 million)
Steve Harper (Free agent)
Matej Vydra (£6.5 million)

They will sell:

Joey Barton (Marseille for £3.5 million)
Loic Remy (Monaco for £12 million)
Julio Cesar (Galatasaray for £2 million)
Anton Ferdinand (Cardiff for £2 million)

Steve Harper has retired.

Bit optimistic but we can hope

Harper has retired from football

05 Jun 2013 15:57:28
Vydra wants to play in the prem and will only be sold if a big bid comes in. No chance in him going to qpr.

No way is Jordan Rhodes worth 9m

No way is vydra worth 6.5m

No way this is going to happen

05 Jun 2013 16:03:46
Vydra won't go back to the Championship

Even doubling it for Vydra and he wouldn't leave for another championship club.

05 Jun 2013 16:46:18
good luck making a profit on a player after 4 months at the club (Remy)

Thought Remy had a £6m buy out clause in his contract if they got relegated

No there not, they are looking for free transfers and hard working players. They are hoping to sign wayne bridge

05 Jun 2013 19:42:36
utter nonsense. Remy has a much lower buy out and as for Vydra, he is contracted to Udinese and is not going to be available on the cheap following the season he has had for Watford. Likewise, Jordan Rhodes, who is more likely to want to move to a Premiership club if he is to force a move from Blackburn.

Remy buy out is £8 million and is only valid in the next window

05 Jun 2013 14:06:25
Chris O'Grady could be a Burnley player within the next 24 hours with talks ongoing

OGrady will be joining Barnsley

05 Jun 2013 14:04:44
Johnny Russell has been linked with a move to Portman Road, McCarthy sees the young Scotsman as a great player for the future after one of his best seasons for Dundee United but would have to wait until Chopra leaves to free up the wage bill.

By which time he will already have signed for Derby. A fee has been agreed between Derby and Dundee Utd. just down to players terms now.

05 Jun 2013 13:33:00
Jimmy Ryan has signed for Chesterfield this morning. More great business by Cook and his team. Ventress

05 Jun 2013 13:27:00
Anymore Preston rumours please

05 Jun 2013 13:16:05
3 south Americans will headed for Middlesbrough, Hugo rodiellga, Javier acuna and wonder kid Tavares.

And seeing how they ended up, going through it, I hope.

Acuna is believable and will probs happen. Rodiellga is slightly believable as he has had a poor season in the prem but would do well in the championship, but would be expensive and would be on high wages. And as for tavares (Adryan) some ones been playing to much fifa would not happen, unless he went to a top prem team and came on loan and that is just as unlikely.

If you think 4 one min boro getting adryan you are mad and yes stop playing fifa its going to ya head pal wake up Man United went in 4 him last season and had no look he's one ov the best kids in world at 17yoa

05 Jun 2013 13:15:35
Ex Argyle legend is to return to the club as the new footballing CEO after his release from Manchester United following the arrival of Moyes.

Kirk Broadfoot is set to sign a new one year deal for Blackpool with the option of another year.
They are also set to make an offer of £100,000 for his defensive partner under Paul ince, Gary Mckenzie.

That will be good news if he signed and a bonus if we get Mckenzie I am sick of bad news let's have good news for a change

This would be a good start, fingers crossed

05 Jun 2013 12:44:43
Former Luton, Tranmere and Notts county striker Enoch Showunmi is set to go on trial at thai premeir league club Bangkok glass.

Thank god don't what him back at SWA

05 Jun 2013 12:12:36
Gillingham will miss out on Cody McDonald, as Rotherham have won the race to sign him.

05 Jun 2013 16:06:32
Considering he has moved down to kent and he's kids have moved to school local shows that he is off to gillingham don't know were yo got this from but no chance

Is that true though, or just rumours he is in Kent?

05 Jun 2013 19:33:43
Funny one Cody wants to go Gills so why would he go to Rotherham.

05 Jun 2013 21:02:00
Gills boss Martin Allen has turned down an opportunity to sign former Charlton athletic winger Scott wagstaff and port vale captain doug loft.

Cody has sent his kids to school in Medway and brought a house in Maidstone I doubt very much he is going to Rotherham.

06 Jun 2013 06:11:46
I hope you are right about him living in Maidstone, but how do you know? I find it difficult to believe he would move to the area without already signing. Rotherham can offer more money than Gills and that's what lower league players need to look at.

Can Rotherham really offer more than the 5k a week he is on at Coventry? He is moving for footballing reasons, not to make the same mistake as before.

His wife is from Medway and wanted to move closer to her family. No chance of going up north.

Brentford, Gillingham, or Peterborough are the likely destinations

05 Jun 2013 12:01:21
Mick McCarthy is rumoured to have cooled interest in ebanks-Blake, with wages being a stumbling block as well as the return of Paul Taylor for pre season.

Instead McCarthy is rumoured to be looking at Colchester young forward drey wright as his last forward addition and is the main player he will monitor during their pre season friendly in July.

The U's are not that stupid to sell this future star-this young man has a very bright future and when he moves on he will cost somebody a bunch!

No way drey wright will leave I 100% confident of that!

05 Jun 2013 12:22:01
Roda Jc and AZ Alkmaar are looking to secure the services of watford veteran Manuel Almunia on a free transfer as it was announced he is unsure where his future lies.

Won't happen. Almunia has stated in the past 'he wants to live where he has done since being in England (Abbots Langley, Watford) for the long term future'. That means the clubs he can feasibly play for are QPR, Watford, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Fulham, Stevenage, Barnet, Reading. He also stated 'he wants first team football', which rules out half of that list.

05 Jun 2013 12:15:39
Harry Redknapp is at the Amex according to someone who works in the superstore

Strange since he has just been on tv doing an interview at a golf day

Signing Wayne bridge

05 Jun 2013 12:38:59
Huddersfield are set to have talks with Jamie Patterson, a deal has now been agreed with Walsall, Town expect to Huddersfield expect to have the deal agreed early next week.

There has been a lot of interest from top end Championship clubs regarding James Vaughan, with Huddersfield now expecting to have to look elsewhere, as his wages are well outside the available budget.

Mark Robins has short-listed his main striker options this includes Vaughan, Fryatt, Wells and a return for Jon Stead.

Also expect to see a Coventry City player following their old boss very soon (midfield)

Don`t see Wells as c`ship player.

05 Jun 2013 17:08:22
leeds are skint. Vaughan will end up at hudds.

The deal has not been agreed

Please please no more stead rumours. We have modern technology to do our scouting spade work now, surely that would have filtered out Jon Stead at the elementary stages. Why would we be interested in a striker who can't score goals. we've just let Lee Novak go and he was 3 x the threat Jon Stead will ever be.

No we didn't let Novak go, he was a greedy sxxt, thinking he is much better than he is, and his geordie pal at brum had to rescue him, last laugh will be the amount of goals he gets for them! What a strike force stead and novak would be though folks, eh?

05 Jun 2013 12:34:31
Mollo is to join Fulham very soon also lot talk Sako to Fulham almost final

How many wingers do Fulham need?

I'm liking the signings so far, but I think money could be better spent elsewhere.

05 Jun 2013 12:32:40

david cann bristol city backroom staff has told me richard dunne in talks for a 1 year contract reliable source

This still sounds like a long shot to me.

05 Jun 2013 12:26:20
Burnley are close to the signing of Richard Chaplow from Southampton on a 2 year deal. Been seen in Burnley this morning and is expected to sign before the end of the week.

Well, he does have a house just outside Burnley so that might explain why he's been seen there

He's a Burnley lad so may just have been visiting?

Doesn't he come from Accrington? Local accy lad maybe.

05 Jun 2013 12:24:27
Watford veteran John Eustace is wanted by a number of Danish Superliga clubs, most notably FC Midtjylland, AGF Aarhus and Sonderjyske, for a fee of £325k plus sell on fees

We'll take the money gratefully, but he will be out of contract on June 30th

I find it unlikely that Eustace would command a £325k fee, he hasn't played for a season and age isn't on his side, so probably £100k maximum.

05 Jun 2013 16:50:36
Considering he can leave on a free in two weeks no club is going to pay that, better luck next time

His contract expired on the 31st May therefore no transfer fee is applicable

His contract is yet to expire actually - still has until 30/6. Still may be leaving though - sad, but all good things come to an end.

05 Jun 2013 11:52:40
Bournemouth expected to confirm a deal for Marc Antoine Fortune

05 Jun 2013 11:52:23
Crystal Palace expected soon to announce that Antoln Alcaraz will join the club on the 1st July after his contract has expired at Wigan.

Why would we go for him when we have players just as good in our squad already

Wigan Fan: You would want him because he is quality, best defender I have seen at wigan since we entered the premier league!

05 Jun 2013 11:51:26
Derby to sign Richard dunne

Nope probably going to qpr!

Good experience centre half but wages would be a stumpling block

I wish, heard he was off to QPR?

Rumoured to be going to New York red bulls

05 Jun 2013 11:50:40
League one side Walsall could move for there former argentine Emmanuel Ledesma, who looks set to go on Middlesborough's transfer list, should star winger Jamie Patterson be sold.

No they're not, Newport are.

He's off to newport.

05 Jun 2013 11:43:29
Sheffield United have earmarked 4 potential summer
Signings once a new manager is announced. These are Accringtons full back turned winger Lee Molyneux, Notts
County midfielder Joss Labadie, Scunthorpes Mark Duffy & Charltons Bradley Wright Phillips. Julian Winter is looking for a new blend of Academy products an proven players from the lower leagues with potential.

The blades have no ambition, no money and no hope of getting out of league 1 uncil McCabe steps aside.

Please feel free to take BWP from CAFC. We can make better use of his wages. He is not consistent enough in front of goal and seems to have an attitude.

05 Jun 2013 20:51:43
its will be sad to see BWP leave the valley after what he did in league 1, but to progress as a club he needs to go : (

Is there a Cheltenham fan who can give us CAFC fans an honest appraisal of Pack.

05 Jun 2013 11:36:52
Leyton orient have been given a cash injection following the investment of a behind the scenes newley appointed cash rich director. Money will be used to bring in Leon Clarke, danny green and bradley wright phillips. MKD are also interested in Wright Phillips but wages could be the stubbling block.

I like both green and BWP would be sad to see them go but I think orient would be a good club for both.

There has been no money injected into the club so far. As originaly predicted within the next month, Orient will confirm a new Director, and it will not be behind the scenes.
It will officialy be announced when the time is right. This person is very wealthy, and along with Barry Hearn they have big plans for this club.

I'd love all this to be true, but to be frank, I think it's total garbage.

New director to be announced next week. he wants to invest a lot in the club and get them up the leagues

05 Jun 2013 11:35:44

Southend have offered former leyton orient forward Jonathan Tehoue a one year deal

Hes a good player. for 10 minutes of the game

Hope not! thought he had signed a contract with Everton

05 Jun 2013 11:29:06
Notts County are in talks with Rafael Porcellis, he currently plays in the Portuguese Second Division for Santa Clara. Many players futures at the club are unknown as they recently declared insolvency.

He wouldn't get a work permit, so I don't think so.

05 Jun 2013 11:15:40
middlesbrough swoop for southend utd paul smith. The keeper had a successful loan spell a couple of seasons ago and will come in as competition for jason steele on a 1 year deal.

Loved smudger.

He's a good player

Please I want him to leave to any team

If he comes its to be no1, Steele is going to the highest bidder in the next month. this I have on good authority.

05 Jun 2013 11:07:43
Rotherham interested in Rory Donnelly of Swansea, and possibly Cody McDonald of Coventry, one of them was shown around the ground yesterday, but it could of been either of them.

Cody is going to Gills!

06 Jun 2013 16:39:18
would love to see Rory Donnelly at the NYS next year in a rotherham shirt but can't see us being able to afford the transfer fee or Swansea letting him go.

Possibility of a loan

05 Jun 2013 11:03:10
Gillingham are mulling over an offer for James Norwood of Forest Green.
Norwood who recently won England C honours was reportedly watched by outgoing Gillingham scout Andy Hessenthaler.

05 Jun 2013 10:54:28
Marc Antoine fortune is going to Boro.

05 Jun 2013 10:30:09
Morecambe set to lose Gary Macdonald to Plymouth.

We released him.
So its not a case of "losing" him.
Good luck to him, a really nice guy.

05 Jun 2013 10:29:27
Lee Clark is eyeing up the signing of Gillingham's highly rated young midfield Jack Payne. Payne impressed Clark during his loan spell at Peterborough and feels that he will fit into the Blues set up well. Gills won't let him go cheap though with his value being between £400-750,000.

Birmingham cannot pay transfer fees.

Payne will need to be a free transfer for Brum to get involved.
As for all the talk that Payne wants to go to the Championship, he needs to find a club that will be willing to take a gamble first. Even Posh wanted to look at him before commiting themselves, half a season will be asking a lot for someone to shell out the 800k people are talking of.

05 Jun 2013 10:17:03
Scott Carson in talks with a numerous amount of championship clubs including newly promoted doncaster rovers

Scott Carson will not sign for Doncaster he will have no interest in playing for a club our size and will want 5 times more wages than we are willing to pay

05 Jun 2013 10:15:36
Wales international Robert ' Earnie ' Earnshaw could be heading back to england to sign for sheff wednesday

05 Jun 2013 14:37:54
wouldn't be surprised with Dai Jones being in charge up there. Hope wherever he goes he does well, Cardiff legend.

05 Jun 2013 10:12:07
West Brom leading the race to sign PSV midfielder & swedish international Toivenen

Albion have been watching him for years. would be a good signing

By the start of the season, by all I am reading we should have enough strikers to rotate every match. This as got to be the fifth striker we intend to buy in the last week. I think we will all be surprized when we do actually buy one!

Someones been reading the express and star lol.

Yeah he would be a great signing for us but I bet Everton or Tottenham snap him up.

05 Jun 2013 19:12:37
Lukaku will not be staying at West Brom next year because Jose ( Chelsea ) wants him to stay at the bridge, Lukaku will deffenately be a Cheksea player next year. -

Toivenen would be a great singing but we have signed mbonkani.

06 Jun 2013 13:08:44
We haven't signed Mbokani. yet anyway! On top of that we need more strikers at the club with Fortune leaving on a free and Odemwingie likely to be on his way out. Also Toivonen can play in the midfield so would be a good acquisition no matter what especially at the price quoted.

We have signed mbonkani? where do you people get this tosh from?

heres a good stat for you. 82% of the tinterweb is false information. and the other 37. 5% is true.

Mbonkani is an albion player end of

Lukaku also will not be at Chelsea next season. He will sign for another club on a permant basis.

What about the other 0. 5%? {Ed003's Note - look at it again and do the maths,makes it even more strange lol}

^ classic. Would be a really good signing in my opinion can play mid and upfront what we need At the moment as well as mbokani.

Ed, that was the joke buddy. Incorrect Information :-)

C'mon I thought you was better than that.

COYB

05 Jun 2013 10:09:00
Ryan Lowe has caused a transfer row at bury which looks as it will result in the exit of Kevin Blackwell.

Lowe wasn't offered good enough terms by Bury and now looks set for Rochdale AFC.

What a load of tripe absolute nonesense. We cannot get rid of this failure of a manager for love or money.

As for Lowey I couldn't care less where he plays his football next season.

So long as he has his slot on Radio City on a Monday night in Liverpool he will be just made up.

05 Jun 2013 10:06:59
Lowe to Rochdale.

You heard it here first.

05 Jun 2013 10:04:01
Right I told you last week that Gus Poyet would be going to manage in Spain and now its in the press so it must be true eh! And also another bit of news in from Spain is that altho Ronaldo is rumoured that he fell out with Mourinho at Real Madrid he is NOT going back to Manchester United but to Chelsea if he is allowed to leave this season as he will not be signing a new contract (two years left). Not sure this is true though but apparently if Fergie had stayed on he may have gone back but he's not sure of the transition will work immediately at Manchester United with the new manager etc.

Wait for the Ronaldo story to hit the news next week!

United have the first option on him if he were to leave Mighty Real Madrid.

Don't think he will join another EP team certainly not Chelski.

How long is Moreinner going to be at the bridge.

Bournemouth expected to confirm Zoumana Bakayogo and Frazer Richardson in the next few days both on frees. Good signings however it shows the club will not be spending a high amount of money.

Another target is Richard Chaplow however he is expected move further north.

Surprised if zourmana will travel so far south to Bournemouth when both Sheffield clubs, blackpool are looking at him. Frazer is also experienced defender but should be class for a freebe. These two would sort out the cover for left and right back positions.

So any1 who played for southampton

Ryan Lowe will not be returning to bury.
They are looking for a younger players
Looks like he will play for Tranmere if they can have him on a free. watch this space

Hull's second bid for Leicester's Kaspaer Schmeichel, believed to have been £1. 75m, has also been turned down by the Foxes, who would likely want in excess of £3m for the top-rated shot-stopper.

This could price Hull out, and they may instead turn to either Mark Schwarzer (free) or Allan McGregor (£2m).

Still no concrete news regarding transfers in to the KP Stadium - it's looking likely that Pearson has been told he will have to offload some of the top earners before he can buy. Expect Wellens and St. Ledger to have moved to Doncaster and Sheffield Wednesday respectively by July. Beckford, Danns and Gallagher will be next in line for a move away from the KP.

A striker and an experienced CM are believed to be at the top of Pearson's wishlist. Despite links to all three, it looks like Leicester will miss out on Johnny Russell, Jay Tabb and Stephen McPhail, who have been strongly linked with Derby, Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday respectively.

Tabb has confirmed signing a two-year deal with Ipswich today!

Tabb agreed to sign for Ipswich, it's a done deal

Tabb announced today but anyone any ideas when Murphy is signing as thought it was a deffo

Murphy, McGoldrick, Tabb and Skuse will all be confirmed as Ipswich players in the early stages of July when the window opens! {Ed029's Note - Tabb confirmed today.

Birmingham after Jack Payne, but the fact that they've not got much money may scupper the deal

Hi Everyone,

I put a post on yesterday saying Danny Graham of Sunderland will be joining Westbrom this summer.

Please accept my apologies. I was reading a post with his name in it just before typing.

The name I was meant to drop was Craig Gardener.

I Hear From My Dad's Friend Charlie Benson That His Son, Paul Benson Is To Move To Southend On A Free Transfer From Swindon Town. Charlie, Like Me & My Dad Is A Southend Fan.

05 Jun 2013 12:33:43
Decent player but I'm afraid his legs have gone

05 Jun 2013 09:02:36
Yeovil release 3 players in 'Super' Gavin Williams, Richard Hinds and Dominic Blizzard! These are 3 very good and consistent players! All these can play for any team in league 1! I would like for all 3 to go to Walsall, they need that bit extra next season

05 Jun 2013 11:46:57
you a walsall fan?

I think blizzard and hinds could still play league 1 but think gav is past it and would be a good league 2 player at best now

Yeah, Hinds and Dom good enough for League 1. Not Gav though. As great as he used to be he is just past it now. Would be good for a serason or 2 in League 2 though. Although one thing I would say about Dom is; yes he's consistant. Consistantly injured!

I'm not a Walsall fan! Gav could easily play league 1! But he's needs an injury free season really

Paul Smith Of Southend United Looks Set For A Move To York Who Have Offered £60,000 For The 'Keeper. Two Other Clubs Have Made Formal Offers:

AFC Wimbledon: £55,000
Mansfield Town: £50,000

We don't have £55,000 to spend on transfers

Mansfield would be smiths prefered move

05 Jun 2013 15:11:37
Whether we do or not, I'd be very surprised if we'd spend £55k on a keeper when there must be so many decent keepers available on a free.

With our budget, I doubt we'll be getting involved in any bidding wars.

I would think we probably do have 55k, but I doubt we'd spend that much for one keeper, better to pick one up on a free

Wimbledon are not signing players for transfer fees.

Alot of money for a keeper in his 30s at our level, he is a southern boy though

There are better, younger keepers for cheaper

Smudger looks set to sign for afc wimbledon as player keeper coach. very interesting.

Barnsley and Bradford are been strongly linked with Jonathan Stead. Stead was recently released by Bristol City looking for a move north due to family reasons.

05 Jun 2013 18:18:21
Jon Stead was very clear on his twitter page when he announced he wasnt re-signing that it was due to family commitments up Yorkshire way.

He wants his kids to grow up with their Grandparents.

This automaticly makes you assume he is talking Huddersfield, Leeds, Barnsley, Bradford, or one of the Sheffield clubs.

I am sure he will have a few offers. The guy is a class act.

Class act?

Certainly, he is not in the business of scoring 20 goals a season, but as far as link up and target man play go Stead is a talented as I have seen at the Gate.

Though he is easy to love because he will run himself to death to win a throw in. Bristol City fans love to see a lad scowling with pain and dripping with sweat at the end of a game.

Steady will give somebody 110% again next year. A fantastic free transfer for sombody.

Figueroa about to sign for Hull, whilst James Chester is expected to sign a new 4 year deal soon.

Figgy can do a lot better than Hull, Expect him to go to a top half team or La Liga.

05 Jun 2013 08:13:49
Oxford United are in talks with out of contract striker Jake Hyde. Luke Gutteridge has held talks with the club aswell.

05 Jun 2013 08:01:40
James Vaughan to Leeds. You heard it here.

Could have sworn I read it!

It is true I have heard it we are also instreted in adam le ronde from reading fc

Vaughan to leeds is not the 1st time I have heard that. been touted to of had talks with bmac last week after being given permission by Norwich to do so.

09 Jun 2013 22:40:24
Leeds United have not approached Norwich City about James Vaughan and are unlikely to as they are close to wrapping up the deal for Noel Hunt

05 Jun 2013 06:40:40
Mollo to Fulham very soon completed, very good player who has many tricks. Circa 6m

05 Jun 2013 10:55:28
its a two race for him as fulham & norwich both bid the same which is 6.5 mill for him he is talking to both clubs

If our only competition is Norwich then it's as good as a done deal.

Well this is news as hear in France I've not heard of Norwich interest only Fulham & Hull city

05 Jun 2013 06:25:32
I told this website some time ago that Steve Evans would turn his attention to wrapping up a permenant deal for Coventry striker CODY MCDONALD. It will be concluded very soon.

Cody McDonald has already taken his kids out of school in Coventry and put them in Kent schools due to his imminent transfer to Gillingham. He will not join Rotherham.

I doubt it as he his wife does not want to move away from her family in Essex.

I will be a Southern Based club.

Gillingham, Peterborough, Brentford are his likely destinations

Will be pretty tough for anyone to sign him, seeing as CCFC are under a transfer embargo, which works both ways, in and out of the club.

05 Jun 2013 06:21:49
Gregg wylde to decide on either a move to aberdeen or motherwell this week!preferred option is motherwell after aberdeen signed robson and flood

Carlisle United lining up 23 year old American international and Houston Dynamo striker Will Bruin to replace the outgoing Lee Miller.

05 Jun 2013 01:02:57
Lawless is a wide midfielder and Russell is a striker so how is this a replacement?

05 Jun 2013 00:37:55

Bristol Rovers are expected to sign JJOT by friday, also interest in gavin williams and clayton mcdonald, how big CL looks like he could go to Leyton Orient or MK Dons, this is legitimate info given by former board member

Who is big CL?

I don't normally post on here but John will be back in England over the weekend so he won't sign as soon as friday!. I know (for a fact) he is interested in coming here so please be patient with him, there are offers from higher up the leagues for him but after playing for Bristol last season he knows what the club is about. The club matches his ambition and with him getting more match time he will see Bristol as an ideal place. I'm not a football expert but I should think he'll be a Bristol player by the end of next week.

Chris Lines?

05 Jun 2013 14:55:02
Is CL Chris Lines?

I meant to say CM, late night and wasn't awake, sorry for that guys and gals

I think chris lines? I'm unsure

It was menna be CM which is clayton mcdonald, not CL so not chris lines, linesy wouldn't come back anyway

06 Jun 2013 13:40:09
JJOT CL who the hell are these players is this a new guessing game to test intelligence if so its a failure TTFN

Could we cut out the f***ing initials please? We want to know who we're talking about!

>:-|

The guys at Bletchley Park would have trouble working this sh*t out! Are you so lazy that you can't even type a player's name?

05 Jun 2013 00:10:09
Targets for the summer for Bolton include Craig Dawson, Jay Spearing, Connor Newton, Paul Dummett, Serge Gnabry (loan), Adam Forshaw, Scott Wootton, Michael Higdon and Gary Mackay-Steven. The likely departures are Matt Mills, Tyrone Mears, Marcos Alonso, David N'Gog, Darren Pratley and Sam Ricketts.

I would agree with all those targets a very good mix of players of al ages and experience. The only one I don't know is Gnabry is he from Arsenal youth. I would keep Pratley, showed what he is capable of second half of the season back to his old self under Dougie. The defence definately needs sorting with a couple of wide men and a striker or two for good measure. How about if I throe Thomas Eisfeld into the mix along with Jose Baxter and Dale Jennings.

04 Jun 2013 23:46:43
Stoke City's young striker John Marsden to Oxford United on a season long loan.

Any good?

Very good pedigree, and a frightening burst of pace to match. He has a good eye for goal, and will score loads in the lower leagues. If he joins Oxford, then i'd back him to score 25-30+.

Sounds a good prospect, hope its true.

We won't go down the route of unproven youngsters this year imo. Too risky, we have a good chance of getting proven players in lower leagues.
Rob Hall is the only good loanee we've had in years!

05 Jun 2013 21:07:35
wont be if stoke are paying his wages

04 Jun 2013 23:17:44
As soon as whittingham returns from holiday ricky Holmes will sign a deal 1 more midfielder and defender and could also see akinfenwa at fratton

04 Jun 2013 23:05:24
Derby set to sign nottingham forest man Danny Collins, established, experienced Cb which ticks all the boxes for clough's wishes

Yes, I've heard this too. I spoke to clough+rush and they stated that they want a Cb

That would be a huge as Derby and Forest are massive rivals.

Also would demand a fee for sure because Collins played 43 games last season in the championship.

He did fall out of favour under Davies towards the back end and maybe Billy is looking to sell Collins to bring in a different centre half.

This guy is right though Collins as a left sided CB would be perfect to partner Richard Keogh, the republic of ireland international. Experienced too.

No were not

Ahaha no we're not, he's terrible

Not a chance. he's garbage

Please, please take him, I will drive him to you myself. He is a shocking defender!

04 Jun 2013 22:50:22

C

04 Jun 2013 22:38:14
Richard Logan is close to finalising his return to Exeter City within the next few days, while Tommy Doherty will sign a one-year deal to extend his spell with the club.

This is not going to happen is is not a class player anymore he is past his peak!

I Think That Tommy Doherty Will Agree A new Contract As He Played Well Last Season

Logan said he would rather play for a league 1 team if an offer comes onto the table.
