Southampton Actual News:

Apparently Southampton HAVE recieved an offer for Morgan and he has said he would like to go to a club in a higher division or back to France to enhance his chances of making the French full squad, The club have turned this offer down and are asking Morgan to stay 1 more season to see if we get promoted.
Dickson IS coming, The club have spoken to Benfica about Adu, we are trying to get him on loan with an option to buy.
The club are talking to Reading about Antonio, either for a perminant move or 1 more loan year.
Apparently the club are talking with a few clubs with reference to CMs, but are waiting to see what happens at Palace.
Calderon has said he is coming but my source has said he hasnt heard anything recently.
It also seems the club are seeing if Blackpool are going to let some players go.

Would the people leaving the mad rumours about Liverpool just stop!!

1. Rafa went BECAUSE there is NO takeover, precisely because of this the board had to let him go to put the team back on track and make them a more attractive buy. G&H are on borrowed time and want to sell quick before RBS force them to at a knockdown price, therefore they were prepared to give Rafa his comp

2. There will be no announcement of a new management for at least three weeks. Whoever they go for will more than likely have to sign a very short term contract, therefore it will not be someone like Van Gaal, more likely it will be Hodgson.

3. Lastly Gerrard and Torres will not leave simply because they don't want too! Here I'm relying on King Kenny and the new management to talk them around and become of the new Liverpool rising.

This said I prey to god we have been taken over, that we do have 100m to spend and someone like Hiddink or Van Gaal is coming because then I could sleep easy again!

I've usually rubbished all the LFC have been sold rumours as kids posting wishful thinking, but a few from more reputable sources now seem to be starting to pop up intimating that a deal could be on the cards, possibly finalised by the end of the WC.

This could be grasping at straws, but it might explain the lack of a replacement for Rafa being readily lined up for the moment he was out the door, which has always been a pre–requisite.

I know Hicks said it could take a lot longer, but taking anything he says as the truth is a laughable concept given his track record, and sellers always have to play down the expediency behind their desire to sell.

I hope it's true, but last season taught me to hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

I can confirm that Sheffield United are in talks with Joann Ertl from Crystal Palace. Also ive told you numpty's as regards Billy Sharp he does'nt need to be there to agree terms.HELLO DO YOU KNOW WHAT AN AGENT IS.Think about it.Ive told you all he will sign.THE VIPER.

ED: Maybe you can confirn to this Vipet character that is clearly delusional, An Agent simply discuses terms with potential teams, they negotiate terms then propose them to the player, they player still has to agree those terms regardlessNo agent can sign a player on for a club without the players signature, in which case the player clearly has to be present, Viper is clearly talking nonscence after backing himself into a corner against someone genuinely ITK.

As for the Johan Ertl rumours they have surfaced in papers and websites all day, Nothing New or un heard of.

Making an offer to FC Union Berlin for Patrick Kohlmann and Adrian Antunovic. Also enquiring about West Broms Chris Brunt.

Typical City fans. Dilluded.

Absolutely no chance will Chris Brunt want to join City. Premier League or Championship? Hmmmmmm, that's a hard one.

Bristol Rovers remain interested in Richard Keogh and are still in talks with him and his agent.

Hameur Bouazza will make a great signing for any Championship team, I'm surprised Blackpool let him go he had pl experience and he is pretty tricky and wouldn't be surpised to see him go to Burnley or Preston or even Leeds if he fancies a little bit more of a commute.

I put the emphasis on travel because footballers don't like moving particularly far. Harry Redknapp has never lived North of the Northern Line and you couldn't imagine Terry, Lampard, J and A Cole ever leaving London. David Bell went to Norwich from Luton but got homesick and went to Coventry.

Anyway back to football, expect Colchester United chairman Robbie Cowling to be asked to leave his post after a rather heated email to a Norwich fan which mentioned Hitler twice, this can be read in full on the Norwich Evening News website.

To the guy who said this

I've heard that Arsenal are looking at one up and coming midfielder in Sofiane Feghouli and another older one in Sessegnon.

Not sure how likely these are but prices are around £7 – 10 mil each.

It may depend on if Fab goes and how fit Ramsey is at the start of the season.
Wilshere is still too young and will go on loan.

AFC4EVA

dude, don't waste our time posting football manager stuff. feghouli was signed my valencia days after villa signed for barca.

Any Birmingham City rumours? Cheers.

I can't Say that My best mate's brother is Alex McLeish Nephew or something, theese are just rumours Ive picked up!

Goalkeepers;
I think McLeish won't sign another keeper he's happy with Ben Foster as Number 1, Maik Taylor i believe has recently signed a new 1 year contract so he will be our Number 2, We might buy another experienced in Summer 2011.
Defenders;
Stephen Carr is getting a bit old and his legs might only take another year and if i was McLeish i would be thinking that he needs bring in a young and hungray right back very to slot in this year, I think a few clubs simular level i.e Stoke have been looking at Manchester City's Right Back Nedman Onuoha for around £5 million i think this would be bargain he played well against us and scored one definate goal and maybe one contervasial one he can also cover in at centre back when Dann and Johnson are injured and Ridgewell will cover at Centre Back too. We may Sign Paul Konckesty for around £4 million from Fulham if unsucessfull McLeish might make an ambitious last minute move from Stopping Auriello going to Italy and signing for us!
Midfielders;
No One will come in at right midfielder, Varless has came in on a free, Seb Larson might leave to join up at West Ham or Newcastle depending on what he prefers. McLeish might try make Loan move for Gibson from Man U for 6 month Loan, McGeady may be bought for around £8 million from Celtic depending if we reach deal, I believe N'Zogbia deal is dead!
Strikers;
O'Connor sold for £2 million and Bring in another Striker i beleive will be Piaquonne for £3 million.
Boyd Will join Newcastle not us im afraid:C

" Dennis obrien" CELTIC FC,
Talks have taken place regarding dennis obrien buying dermot desmonds 47%. Celtic will make an announcement on july 11th , obrien who is worth over 2 billion will invest in players but rumours are the manager will not be lennon. Talks took place in london on mon/tues/weds and the takeover will go through the stock exchange early next week. Dennis obrien will also bring in a KLM SPONSORSHIP DEAL, Scottish football will be rocked with his investment thought to be around 40m ! Dennis will also pull the deal with trappatoni whos wages he funds! This is why the job of a new manager is taking so long, he has his own ideas all that remains to be done is for dermot desmond to sell–up. rebornceltic.

this is from a ex player bad at golf.

05 Jun 2010 20:55:37
Connor Wickham is the real deal..Any credible news regarding his potential move? Tottenham offers £5.5 and sent back on loan for a year. Liverpool is his favorite team and with the addition of young players like Jonjo Shelvey, Raheem Sterling, Suso, Ince and others in the last couple of seasons, is this his destination because they can do the same has tottenham. Where is he going, because Keano is not that "keen" on letting him go and not getting a return!

To this guy

'''''YOU COULDN'T BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH, TORRES IS BARCELONA'S NEXT TARGET, HE IS MORE OF A PRIORITY THAN CESC, THEY ARE TRYING TO BUY CESC FOR AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE AND A BID FOR TORRES IS IMMINENT AFTER THE WORLD CUP, IBRAHIMOVICH IS UP FOR SALE, THIS IS NOT RUMOUR ITS FACT! WHETHER OR NOT BARCA GET TORRES IS A DIFFERENT MATTER BUT A BID WILL BE MADE NONETHELESS! MASCHERANO IS NOT IN BARCA'S PLANS! BUSQUETS IS THEIR DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER WHEN NEEDED!

IN – TORRES, CESC, VILLA

OUT – HENRY, IBRAHIMOVICH

_________Valdes
Alves__Puyol__Pique__Abidal

____Xavi__Cesc__Iniesta

____Messi__Villa__Torres''''''

Torres as a right wing forward?

Seriously?

Ibrahimovic is for sale yes, but it is unlikely that they will get £40million for him after such an average season.

I'll re–iterate, they entertained the idea of signing Fernando Torres, The new president to be Sandro Rossell discussed the idea in the elections, but they do not have the resources to compete with Chelsea and Man City. Barca are £420 million in debt, and are spending the Spanish Bank's money. Cesc is their priority, with Mascherano the back up if they fail. You forget that Pedro is their right wing forward, they really have no need for Torres , Ibrahimovic there or not. Torres is a Centre Forward through and through. But hey, don't let logic get in the way of your transfer theories. (To the editor, please post this one, it's important people drop the Torres to Barcelona rumours as they're very unrealistic.)

Micheal laudrup as liverpool manager, king kenny to be director of football, these jobs will not be temporary.

05 Jun 2010 20:48:13
Arsenal scout Steve Rowley is a relative of mine on my wife's side, and was chatting to him at a family BBQ.

He said that he had been asked to scout alot of players from the lower leagues last season because of the new squad rules about having a minimum number of English players and said Arsenal had, at one stage of the season, been particularly interested in:

Jonjo Shelvey (was at Charlton but now at Liverpool)

Kelly Youga (also at Charlton, but got injured around Christmas. He said that provided he gets fit again and plays in pre–season to prove his fitness, Arsenal will be extremely interested again)

Sean Scannell (of Crystal Palace, though apparently decided he was just pace, and as they have Walcott already, there is no more interest)

Adam Matthews (of Cardiff City, pretty much a done deal, expect it to be announced next week for £5 million)

Tom Adeyami (of Norwich City, he reckons they will be making an offer)

Tom Aldred (Carlisle United, too slow to be an option)

05 Jun 2010 20:49:22
Ibrahimavic is likely to sign for Chelsea which would rule out the signing of Torres and maybe Aguaro.
Chelsea will definatly sign Srna(18m)

In response to the follwoing;

"Just Because He Said Madrid Fans Would Love him Doesnt Mean He will sing for Them :S

Di Maria Joe Cole Maybe Sjnieder And Higuain Are all MUFC >>BOUNDD"

Higuain has just signed a new deal with Madrid and i'm afraid Utd don't have the funds for more than one key signing. Di Maria is known to want a move to Madrid as well. Joe Cole on a free looks a good bet though.

05 Jun 2010 20:14:39
To the guy who posted this!

I don't often pick apart people's rumours on here, but with £800 million of debt growing every day, it's a certainty that none of those players you mentioned will be joining United. You have to sell players to meet debt repayments, hence why Fergie is investing in youth because he doesn't have the money to buy stars. Stick to Fifa mate.

I've said it before on here, Joe Cole has not decided on who he is joining although he has plenty of suitors.

Rafa Benitez to Inter Milan, this will go through soon and he will look to bring in Dirk Kuyt and Javier Mascherano for a combined £40 million. Maicon is Real Madrid bound.

Chelsea close to signing Yossi Benayoun (for some reason.) for approx. £6–8 million.

Tottenham considering making a £20 million move for Diego Forlan if they can offload Roman Pavlyuchenko for the right price.

Benfica coach jorge jesus has dropped a huge hint by saying that real madrid fans will love Angel di maria and that he is one of the best in his position.
That makes it a done deal.also marias agent jorge mendes was in talks with madrid gm jorge valdano im madrid.it seems that the JORGE'S ARE KEEN ON MAKING DI MARIA A MADRID PLAYER.
But that's very gud news for manu as madrid now won't bid for silva as already they have got a LM player.now manu wil be the favorites to sign him as he dosent want to go to mancity.

Big news coming from liverpool not d.i.c. or dubai..

05 Jun 2010 19:58:38
Ok with Dalglish pulling the strings at LFC. Owen will ask to be released from OT and will sign for Liverpool on a free and/or pay per play deal.

The main reason for this is it is thought it would make Stevie G think twice about leaving. Owen would then be used as backup for Torres providing hes fit, concious or still alive after facing the LFC faithfull!

05 Jun 2010 19:52:46

ST–Villa
ST–Torres
ST–Bojan
ST–Ibrahimovich (Barca are dissapointed but haven't even transfer listed him yet)

BOTH HENRY AND IBRAHIMOVIC WILL BE SOLD, NEITHER WILL BE TRANSFER LISTED AS THAT WILL DRIVE THEIR PRICES DOWN! BARCELONA WILL BID FOR TORRES, THAT IS 100% GOING TO HAPPEN, LIVERPOOL WILL REJECT ANYTHING UP TO 60M, CITY OR CHELSEA WILL BUY IBRAHIMOVICH, HE WILL GO FOR 30M TO CHELSEA OR 40M TO CITY!

BARCELONA WILL BID FOR TORRES, THAT IS 100% GOING TO HAPPEN AFTER THE WORLD CUP! IBRA WILL 100% BE SOLD AND BARCA WILL 100% NOT BUY MASCHERANO!

First of all everton will get rid of 5–6 plays, pienaar will defo go with top 4 targeting him for roughly 10–15 million, Joseph yobo is a def to go either to Newcastle, west ham or Celtic he will go for around 4–6 million, next is yakubu basicly out of favour at everton so he will go to west ham for 9 million roughly or swap deal involving Carlton Cole, john heitinga to man city for 9 million or 6 million and onoucha but can't see moyes doing any buisness with man city after the lescott affair but you never know, I honestly think arteta will go to man utd because they are massive massive club which might get him into the Spanish squad but moyes will make sure he gets top dollar for him, James vaughen will go to Blackpool/ Leicester (spent the last part of last season on loan nd enjoyed a successful 6 month spell there) for around 1–2 million, and lastly distin/jagielka(just what I think btw) because distin wants European football nd maybe end up with Harry redknapp mext season because of champions league football and the there's jagielka just because he isn't his best ATM nd think arsenal will get him for 10–20 million. INS– joao moutinho 15–20 million best replacement for arteta and pienaar if either leave goodison, Jan vertoghen 10–12million young versatile player that can play cdm, Lb, Lcb (better than distin I think), luisao 5–10millions everton did have a 15 million euro bid rejected by benfica but luisao has publiclly stated his disire to play in the epl so another gd def if jagielka or distin leave, Shaun wright–Phillips if arteta and pienaar leaves then depending on his world cup performances he will be cheap but wage demands maybe a problem, c Cole moyes is reportedly interested in him nd gd swap deal because yakubu and Cole are same type of player and both worth about the same as one another, nd this is a long shot tbh if C Cole does join then moyes will want a pacey goalscorer nd I am thinking of either saviola of benfica for around 6 million and Diego tardelli for around 5–6 million (gd sighning if it ever happens) nd even though they have beckford moyes would perfer a strike partner with international exp and dangerous when on the ball if you get what I mean, onoucha will be sighned as part of the heitinga deal and cardoza of benfica been mentioned butt everton will have no chance of sighning him because of his wages he may be getting at city or somet and that everton aren't in Europe but if any of these players end up at everton I'll be delighted ^.^

Barcelona are not after Fernando Torres, they may have entertained the idea but they are pursuing Fabregas, and have Signed Villa and have Ibrahimovic also on the books. Failing to get Fabregas they will move for Mascherano

YOU COULDN'T BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH, TORRES IS BARCELONA'S NEXT TARGET, HE IS MORE OF A PRIORITY THAN CESC, THEY ARE TRYING TO BUY CESC FOR AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE AND A BID FOR TORRES IS IMMINENT AFTER THE WORLD CUP, IBRAHIMOVICH IS UP FOR SALE, THIS IS NOT RUMOUR ITS FACT! WHETHER OR NOT BARCA GET TORRES IS A DIFFERENT MATTER BUT A BID WILL BE MADE NONETHELESS! MASCHERANO IS NOT IN BARCA'S PLANS! BUSQUETS IS THEIR DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER WHEN NEEDED!

Sven Goran Eriksson will be appointed as Liverpool's new manager on Monday 12th July.

My sources, close to the club, have said that a deal has been agreed in principle to bring the former England manager to Anfield and that Kenny Dalglish is more than happy to work along him as Director of Football.

One major surprise will see the return of Sky Sports Pundit Phil Thompson to Anfield in a coaching role. Kenny feels that it's important that whilst the club moves forward it has to retain its heritage, something which has been lost in part under the Yanks.

Signings will come, but Liverpool will be late in bidding as the finances at the club are still bad. The banks closing trade will be the only thing that will force Gillett and Hicks out. It may yet happen – the status quo cannot remain for another 12 months, and the banks want their money (rightfully so).

Expect the Yanks to finally relent to a sale of the club, Eriksson appointed and a decent season of football (forget the title, but the FA Cup would do nicely!)

CPFC News:
After CPFC 2010 saved the club from liquidation on Tuesday, new plans are being formaluted to sustain Palace's Championship status as the board will target promotion to the Premiership within the next three years. Due to all uncertainty around the club, 2010 are expected to announce their plans next week in a press conference when terms have been agreed with all creditors (including tango man :o). It is likely their first aim is to appoint a new manager as pre–season plans will need to be placed together. Rumours have it that Chris Coleman and Gareth Southgate are the favourites to get the job, which would abandon all plans to reach the Premier League :(. Despite that, Alan Curbishly is desperate to get the job and CPFC 2010 have contacted him about joining.

Celtic Rumours

Team for next year:

Boruc

Hinkel
Campbell
Hooiveld
Aurelio

Lawrence
Bullard
Brown
Ledley
McGeady

Keane

Loovens will be sold, McManus will go on loan again for six months and Campbell will be used to bring Rogne on. O'Dea will back up Aurelio at LB and Lenny will look to the midfield four, Brown excepted, to chip in with goals along with Keano. Scott will play a sitting role next year, as he's done for the national team. Expect Goncalves to join on a free and for Caddis to go to the Championship on loan. Wilson will push Hinkel for RB.

The board realise that 2nd place next year in the SPL will not be good enough for a CL place and will spend big. Exciting times ahead fellow Bhoys!

Rangers rumour;

Sunderland asst Manager, Eric Black, has apparently gave his old buddy Kenny Mcdowall the heads up on striker Daryl Murphy, who was a Celtic target up until about a fortnight ago, apparently he's been told he's surplus to requirements at the SOL, so he could be a cost effective replacement for Boyd. Expect Smith to put a bid in over next 3/4 days

And apparently Spartak are gonna test Celtics resolve with an 8 figure bid for Mcgeady

To put the record straight regards the message below. I am not in talks with Leeds. Contrary to popular belief I am a Terriers supporter despite being born in Leeds. I am currently happy with Sheffield Wednesday and recently signed a long term contract extension. The only hint of truth about me on this site (which the boys always have a laugh at) is that I have had a call through my agent about interest from a midlands team but I am not interested and intend to return to the championship the right way with SWFC.
Stop talking about me please.

Leeds Rumours

To all the people that have said that certain people are leaving and joining Leeds and that its is 100% for sure, there is no certainty in anything until the person has actually signed.

I know there has been a lot of rumours about people coming into leeds so i will just add one thing i do know for sure Tommy Spurr is currently in negoiation with Leeds. By currently i don't mean right this second but he has been for a while. He will defiantly leave Sheff Wed after falling out with them throughout the whole of last season over pay. He would ideally like to join leeds as his parents live in Garforth and he wants to be close to them. Talks are still on going and this is the truth.

I know this due to the fact that his Dad works for the Bank and i talk to him often. His dad is also his agent after he sacked his previous agent over the deals he was giving him for sheff wed.

Thats all =]

Arsenal transfer news:
Wenger is targeting 2 Centre–Backs, most probably Laurent Koscielny (Lorient) and Nicolas Otamendi (Velez Sarfield). Although Chygrynskiy is the only player who could arrive as part of the Fabregas deal (in this case on one of the above two would join). A goalkeeper is still being chased with one of the experienced duo of Mark Schwarzer (37yrs) or Oleksandr Shovkovskiy (35yrs) most likely to join to preserve the futures of Mannone and Szczesny. Joe Cole representitrives have been spoke too, things are going along nicely (personaly don't rate him)

No other signings planned other than a couple more kids maybe (Gai Assulin most likely), kid already signed are Damien Martinez (Argentine GK Indepentiente), Kyle Ebecilio (Dutch Midfielder Feyenoord) and Phillip Roberts (Irish Striker Norwich)

BLACKPOOL (remember; extremely limited funds)

INS:
Firstly, we need a keeper for cover, or maybe even prove themselves good enough. If they don't cement a first–team place, Holloway will have to look in January for a keeper good enough, as Rachubka isn't.
TONY WARNER – FREE AGENT .OR.
JOSH WAGENAAR – FREE AGENT .OR.
JONNY TUFFEY – FREE AGENT
All of these are full internationals, so are certainly good enough to at least provide cover, and worth it on a free.

Secondly, with Coleman returning to Everton, we'll need an another right–back with premier league experience to battle it out with the unproven Neal Eardley:
BERNARD MENDY – FREE AGENT
MORITZ VOLZ – FREE AGENT
I think Mendy's wage demands might be a little too steep for us, but he bearsd the most similarity to Coleman and would fit into our system better than the more realistic Volz.

Furthermore, we're going to need cover and competition at centre–back, as Evatt will look suspect at the highest level. Again Holloway will have to wield some clever free agent signings due to low funds and wage budget:
THIERRY GATHUESSI – FREE AGENT
STEVEN CALDWELL – FREE AGENT
JOZEF VALACHOVIC – FREE AGENT
Gathuessi is an easy, maybe desperate signing but he has been capped by Cameroon. Valachovic would bring a lot of international and domestic experience and eastern–European bruteness.

As for left–backs, i think Holloway will see if the promising Crainey can make the step up, but he may opt for another option:
LEE WALLACE – HEARTS (£2–3M)
NICKY SHOREY – READING (£3–4M)
KEVIN KILBANE – HULL (£0–1M)
KIERAN GIBBS – ARSENAL (LOAN)
Kilbane is the most likely, as he is cheapest and is rumoured for a move away, however he has lots of experience and is versatile, plus he would jump at the chance to stay in the PL. Shorey is idealistic, he may demand too high a wagea dn the fee might be beyond us for a full–back. Wallace may want a bigger club. Gibbs is very likely, Wenger will want him to have sufficient PL experience.

Southern isn't good enough for the premier league, and with Bangura and Martin released – it leaves a gap in the anchor role:
KAGISHO DIKGACOI – FULHAM (LOAN)
MICHAEL BROWN – PORTSMOUTH (£0–1M)
CRAIG EASTMOND – ARSENAL (LOAN)
NEMANJA MATIC – CHELSEA (LOAN)
Dikgacoi hasn't played much for Fulham this season and will be itching for a real crack at the PL, and if he has a good World Cup, there could be competition. Brown might want to stay at Pompey as he is vice–captain, but he may be forced out and would provide that combative edge that we need. Eastmond is a very promising player and Wenger wouldn't say no to a PL loan for the 19–year–old who can also fill in at RB. Matic again possible, with Ancelotti knowing he won't use him much next season.

With the probable release of Burgess, and Nardiello, Bouazza, Nardiello and Mitchley already gone, we're in desperate need of numbers up top, with wingers and stikers on the agenda:
GAEL KAKUTA – CHELSEA (LOAN)
MIROSLAV STOCH – CHELSEA (LOAN)
LUKE FREEMAN – ARSENAL (LOAN)
VINCENT ABUBAKAR – COTONSPORT GAROUA (£1–2M)
LYNEL KITAMBALA – DIJON (£1–2M)
STEFAN MAIERHOFER – WOLVES (3–4M)

OUT:
Seamus Coleman – loan return to Everton
Joe Martin – released
Danny Mitchley – released
Al Bangura – released

I've heard that Arsenal are looking at one up and coming midfielder in Sofiane Feghouli and another older one in Sessegnon.

Not sure how likely these are but prices are around £7 – 10 mil each.

Steven Taylor will be a Newcastle United player come the start of next season. Some other little bits I've heard regarding Newcastle are:

Marcus Pedersen – Young Norwegian striker currently at Stromsgodset.

Jozy Altidore – Young American striker.

Kris Boyd, people have known about this for ages.

Possibly youngsters on loan, such as Wilshere, Cleverley, Van Aanholt, Rajkovic (Chelsea).

Some possible departures are:

Leon Best (rumoured to be returning to Cov on loan)

Ryan Taylor and Shola Ameobi.

I'm not claiming to have a source who faxes at the club (haha) or anything stupid like that. These are just bits I've heard off mates or searching the net.

Leeds are really interested in bringing in foreigners for trials. Been in croatia the last few weeks and i was staying around the corner from a pub who support leeds (God knows why). The landlord speaks English and told me that Leeds are currently looking at a couple of unknown croatians and are close to securing the signature of a romanian. Also they have apparently completed the signing of Santiago Silva. Im not sure who this player is but he is highly rated in uruguay. This is just speculation. These are not LIES as i am a birimingham city fan.

Rory Patterson signed Simeon jackson next the 2 who will dire Plymouth to championship poor old delusional Southampton playoffs at best.

Rangers rumour;

To the person who posted the following:

Charlton have offered Bournemouth £200k and Izale McLeod for Brett Pitman and £400k and Stuart Fleetwood for Adam le Fondre.

Charlton have no money to spend they are in mega debt, that's why they have to sell the main assets to just keep the club alive. so they int going to go out and spend money.
__________________________

I also said that Nicky Bailey is going to Norwich for £1.5m (he is having a medical next week)
Phil Parkinson agreed to the sale along as the board gives him at least 50% of the fee received (after 20% is given to southend) to use on new players.

believe it or not it's up to you. I'm just passing on something that was told to me by a reliable source.

05 Jun 2010 16:23:15
NUFC– Confirmed Info from my source–

NUFC will complete the signing of Gregory Van Der Wiel for £5.5m, after the World Cup is over. Deal is done, but it won't be finalised until the WC is over.

Toon will also target James Tomkins and Kris Boyd on cheap deals– while they will attempt to get Jack Wilshere, Patrick Van Aanholt (Cover) and Tom Clevey on loans. Leeds are interested in Alan Smith, but there has been no official talk. 100% accurate

05 Jun 2010 16:25:43
PAFC the new manager has been identifed (local press source) but the fire sale is still on. Damien Johnson almost certain to go can still play at higher level and big earner. Various clubs 'sniffing' around Reda Johnson and Joe Mason who are real prospects.
Le keeper has gone home to France and just might not return :(

05 Jun 2010 16:26:08
You lot give me the chuckles, how many different clubs has Joe Cole now signed for? He's gonna be very busy next year, playing 5–6 games a weekend.

Yaya Toure is signing for Manchester City.

Valencia are entertaining Man City's bid for Silva, as a ploy to get more money out of teams Silva will consider seriously such as Man Utd and Real Madrid.

Barcelona are not after Fernando Torres, they may have entertained the idea but they are pursuing Fabregas, and have Signed Villa and have Ibrahimovic also on the books. Failing to get Fabregas they will move for Mascherano

Mourinho wants Gerrard, and Real Madrid have in fact approached Liverpool, who have put a £30 million price tag on Gerrard. But Florentino Perez is a bit wary of spending £30 million of the Spanish Banks money on a 30 year old who they will get 1 good season out of then toss aside for pennies. They're other targets involve De Rossi, Maicon, A.Cole, Lampard, Chielleni. Mourinho will try to use Kaka as bait for his targets to raise funds or to swap. Alonso may be used as well.

Roman Abramovich wants to have a real go at winning the Champions League next year, and will make a move for Fernando Torres, hoping he can lure him with a huge contract and promise of big trophies. Sheikh Mansour will also move for Torres, offering the same but no Champions league football. He will hope to win out by bidding more than Chelsea, and offering a much bigger contract. Liverpool will be reluctant to sell, and as a Liverpool fan it pains me to say this, but believe me if the right bid comes in for Torres to the tune of £70 million, Liverpool (or the Yanks) will not think twice about accepting.

Arsenal are going to be shrewd in this market, the stadium debt is still to be considered. Therefore, if Barcelona meet Arsenal's £50 million valuation, they will not move for Gourcuff, but will intead look to Nasri, Wilshere and Ramsey to fill in the gap. Wenger will try and bring in a top quality Centre Back and Goalkeeper.

SAF will look to harness and further develop the talented youngsters he already has, money is tight at Old Trafford due the mounting debts, Fergie may have to let go of a big name this summer such as Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Hargreaves or most likely Carrick so that the debt interest repayments can be met. If you don't believe me, United's business model is built on this. He will not sell Berbatov because he knows he will not recoup enough of the £31 million he spent.

05 Jun 2010 16:27:09
To the dude who thinks this will be the Barcelona squad:

GK–Reina
GK–Valdes
RB–Alves
CB–Puyol
CB–Dmytri.C
CB–Pique
CB–Marquez
LB–Clichy
LB–Abidal
LB–Maxwell
RW–Messi
CM–Xavi
CM–Iniesta
CM–Mascherano
CM–Fabregas
CM–Toure
LW–Pedro
LW–Silva
LW–Henry (is going to about 3 different teams apparently which suggests to me there is no truth behind any of the rumours)
ST–Villa
ST–Torres
ST–Bojan
ST–Ibrahimovich (Barca are dissapointed but haven't even transfer listed him yet)

Sorry, but this is not true. First of all, Henry is available on a Free and Barcelona won't give him a new contract. You think Barcelona will sign Torres if Ibrahimovic is still here! You basically have to make Ibrahimovic a bench warmer, so he will want to leave, most likely to Italy or Chelsea. If Mascherano signs, Yaya Toure would obviously leave, and he will play the DM role and leave Xavi, Fabregas and Iniesta to fight for 2 spots. Do you think any of them want to sit on the bench? And they are basically blocking the really talented players like Pedro and Bojan.

Finally, do you think Arsenal will let Barcelona get Clichy so easily for £10M after tapping up Cesc. Clichy is worth way more than that.

Also, in goal, Barcelona cannot afford to buy Reina, they would have used the money to buy all these players you suggest. There is no need to sign a GK anyway, and Valdes would not sit on the bench for the whole season, hoping he may get 1 game!

Barcelona will next year play:

Valdes

Dani Alves Puyol Pique Maxwell

Mascherano

Xavi Iniesta

Messi Pedro
D.Villa.

Mascherano will be the only other signing, and Yaya Toure, Dmytro Chygrynskiy, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gai Assulin and Thierry Henry

I have just heard Liverpool have accepted Yaya Toure and Aleksandar Hleb in exchange for Javier Mascherano, what do you think about this deal I reckon £30million cash would be much better buy Banega for £10m and then you have £20m to spend on a player but I suppose they have to accept something seen as he wants to leave and only has one year left on his contract.

According to the radio – rangers are now upping their price for Danny Wilson to about 5million. Wilson is actually a Celtic fan (a guy i went to skool with, Dylan plays for rangers u19s n played with wilson) and would b interested in a move away from Ibrox if he thinks it will improve his career. Bougherra wants to stay but a big money move of around 6million could be too much to resist for him too. Boyd, Beasley, smith and novo have already gone but broadfoot may stay. Velicka may stay too but in the light of his injury and that he will b a reserve largely, he will be offered a new deal on much lower wages – so its up to him if he will be at Ibrox next year. Thomson will stay as will davis and the likes. Alexander and Weir are both ready to sign new one year deals to stay with Smith.

If Mcgregor or Alexander leave, Julien Speroni could return to Scotland. He has already had a medical (if u believe the News of the world – not the most reliable paper) and a fee of 450k agreed but the deal will be delayed until the other keepers futures are decided. Money will be saved where possible. To challenge Papac for left back, one of free agents Tony Capaldi, Gregory Vignal or Michael Ball will sign. This may clear up the rumours that a former rangers player could return to Ibrox that is going around at the minute. Reynolds from motherwell would be signed as backup to weir and webster as well as Osasuna defender Miguel Flano (around 1.6million) a possibility. Martin Petrov has been linked with rangers but is likely to be too expensive to sign. The only other rangers rumours that i heard where that they could go back for there January targets of Simon Poulsen (AZ Alkmaar) or the polish winger Blaskowsky (spelling – Borrussia Dormund). In terms of strikers, Goodwillie is the worst kept secret and will probably be linked all season with a move away. Nugent or Tommy Smith are others being linked.

I got this last bit off wiki – so feel free to criticise :P
Finally, Rangers have scouts in South Africa and The USA, Nigeria, Cameroon and Denmark are the main nations being watched. Benny Feilheiber, Jonathan Bornstein, Geremi Njitap, Achille Emana, Dele Adeleye, Sani Kaita, Jakob Poulsen, Thomas Enevoldsen and Soren Larsen are the main prospects.

WBA

Albion are finally to put an end to their boing–boing label with a series of quality signings.

Reid and Tamas are just squad fillers not first–choice signings – the first to arrive was Pablo from Ath Madrid and a number of similar signings are to be made to fill the half a dozen key positions that need strengthening including full backs centre half, left wing central midfield and striker.

No large fees will be paid with all of the available resources being channelled into wages.

A few of the names that have been bandied about are in the frame such as Kewell, Bellamy, Heskey, Grosso, Wheater, Novakovic, Beattie, Maresca, Bell–Baggie, Pires, Aurellio but the real targets are being kept closely underwraps until deals have been concluded. There will also be more surprise departures following on from the release of Robert Koren as Albion move up a notch in quality at first team level.

This will ensure that Albion finish comfortably mid–table next season and then push on to challenge for a European place the season after.

These ambitious plans are being augmented with improvements to the Hawthorns Stadium over the next 2–5 years to take it to a 40,000 seater, just behind Aston Villa and moving well–ahead of Blues and Wolves. Albion see Villa as their main rivals with Blues and Villa traditionally of no significance.

STOP THE PRESS
Everton takeover bid very close.
First on the list is Joe Cole. David Moyes wants champions League Football and Believes that with the trouble surrounding Liverpool and the financial trouble at Man Utd that this season is the easiest chance for a decade to break into the top 3/4. Joe Cole is his Number 1 target and the deal may be financed by the sale of Pinnear and Yakubu. Moyes considers Joe Cole as a prestige signing that will attract plenty of others to join the revolution that has been forming for the past 8 years.

David G his agent is brokering a deal that will see Joe Cole wearing the Blue of merseyside ina deal beleived to be worth £60k per week

this is true
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
whoever wrote the above please wake up. as an everton fan i for one get annoyed when bs like this gets made up for no reason

first–wages
cole would want well over evertons current cap, meaning that buying him would rock the boat, big time. result, all other players with ego's or proven first team wanting a huge pay rise

second–european football
at coles stage of career theres no way he would take a transfer with no euro football, let alone cl football. he'll go to a cl club or stay at chelsea if he has a good wc, if not then maybe cash and quality winger missing united or a prem europa club

third–takeover
everton are not getting taken over, we have a st stadium falling to pieces (for christs sake its 100+ years old, held a semi final in the 66 wc and was the first stadium to be all 2tier stands, yes i love it, but in the modern footballing world its a relic, and one surrounded by buisnesses, a school and housing) that would cost 5x the ammount of moving to a brand new 50k to turn into a 45k stadium, and the local councils have made it clear there is no where within the city they will allow everton to move to, and with the basic of the rejections of the kirby project, nowhere outside the immediate area either. barring some lunatic who has no interest in making money (please point me to one and i'll be the first to drag him down and stuff his cash into moyes pockets) who is going to take us over, and with so many prem league teams showing them how bad it can go and teams like man c to compete against in the cash stakes, getting involved is just not something that seems plausable in this current economy or football climate, seriously would you want to be throwing your money away in an enviroment were a bog standard dc like lescott goes for 25mil? that's more than the red scum payed for torres and i for 1 know which one is of a higher value

fourth–beckford
moyes has already set his agenda, the only difference is that this season he has started before sky sports news start counting the hours instead of days. it'll be bargain buys, most we have never heard of (seriously did anyone know who billy was?) or players we get dirt cheap for obvious reasons (nearly out of contract, age, injury concerns etc etc) or are usual batch of lower league crap waiting to be turned to gold, but remember, please be paitient as they take time to polish.

so please wake up, if you haven't learnec the script by now then please look back over the past 8+ additions, and as for a shock mega money signing, not this season, no euro cash, and no 25mil from lescott (must be winner for best deal of the season, and always nice to see the egos take a hammering)

next season–hopefully same squad but with the depth to field a senior bench and cover the injuries. with a team fully fit, 5th–7th but with the usual everton twist and turns 7th–8th

Aston Villa Players In:

Robbie Keane Tottenham
Eidur Gudjohnsen Monaco
Hugo Rodallega Wigan
Tomasz Kuszczak Manchester Utd
Kevin Doyle Wolverhampton Wanderers
Aliaksandr Hleb Barcelona
Carlton Cole West Ham
Jermaine Jenas Tottenham
Adam Matthews Cardiff City
Steven Taylor Newcastle

Okay they could be villa targets but if MON is planning on bringing it what 4–5 strikers he is deluded and needs to get checked.

I doubt Kuszczak will be sold with Man U selling Ben Foster and i doubt buying a new goalkeeper is top of their lists atm.

Also Wolves have just brought in Steven Fletcher to partner Kevin Doyle so if you want him be prepared to buy over a realistic amount.

And finally, if these are gonna be Villa's which i some how doubt seeing the amount of forward players, it is gonna be a absolute waste of money seeing your gonna be shipping out 50m + possibly?

Re the delay in season tickets at Liverpool

Reason is that the ticket office is being moved to make way for corporate entertainment area in the kop. The ticket office will be a restaurant, and no doubt the corporates will be getting the best seats in the kop. Delay is due to the fans in those seats having to be moved elsewhere to make way for the fat cats.
Sad but unfortunately true.

This is partly true. But no corporate area IN the Kop mate. The old TO is being turned into a cafe/resteraunt. Do you really think the 205 crowd would put up with suits in the stand ?

I do know that the current hospitality blocks on the Centenery stand are being renovated but that's it as far as inside the ground goes.

Zabeel investments have made another approach to takeover at Charlton Athletic. They've said they are willing to splash ridiculous money to attract premiership players to the league one club. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed has made it clear that his first target will be Joe Cole – planning to offer him 90k a week, though he understands it is an unrealistic prospect.

Re this post:

im pretty sure you said you did live in belfast maybe the ed. could clear that up also wot is your job that requires you to be by a computer 24 7. this is a different person btw as i always sign off with WATP and can u tell me what your solid information has been

I'm a self employed rtavel agent, with a large client base, therefore have to be available pretty much 24/7,

I'm sure the ed would be able to verify that I have never once said I live in Belfast, I said I was born there, and brought up there, but didn;t say I still live there.

So far the info (before it was reported in paper) was Broadfoot for Blackpool, just waiting on holloway to get wage structure from board, and this was announced 2 days after i said it, i said last sunday/monday that willie mcstay would be offerd the saints job on thursday which he was, onmonday i advised that alan thompson would resign form his post with newcastle youth on thursday, I was advised about stevie smith signing for Norwich (didn;t post that one as i didn;t think it was true) which it was and i subsequently posted it. I advised last mon/tue that the stumbling block over lennon was the mentor (when everyone else was saying he wasn;t gettin the job, bilic was, wilkinson was etc) and that lennon didn;t want the mentor, which came out yesterday was the stumbling block, I said that Mcgeady wouldn't be going to Brum unless silly money was offered (10m plus) and funnily enough that exact story, and amount was in the paper today, (although i did say if i was celtic i'd take 8m for him) I have also proven some gossip on here to be false, several times (not to be an @rse, but to let everyone know the truth)

Thats just some of the stuff, which can all beverified by facts, and i noticed the other person who was having a go, had a dig about me knowing about Rangers finances, well all i done ws forward o a email i got ( and i took no credit for it on the post) detailing the extent of rangers financial situation, not gossip, but public record fact, and I also told the story earlier of King, the rangers NE director, and the trouble he is in in South africa, again FACT, so if people can;t handle me forwarding good info, and laying facts on the table, then so be it, it's because these facts are true, that offends people, so they resort to vebal abuse, which is sad, but each to their own mate.

excuse the typos :)

DUNDEE UNITED RUMOURS

Dundee United will sell David Goodwillie to Rangers – Boyhood rangers fan and has always wanted to play for them – £1m

Craig Conway is leaving – official – Middlesbrough have tabled a bid of £1m plus add–ons (appearances, international caps and promotion)

Garry kenneth is subject to a tug of war between Middlesbrough and Blackpool – both are tabling bids of £1.5million, slightly more money on offer at Blackpool but it looks likely he's leaving.

Coming in:

Left Back from Queens Park
Centre Back – Unknown as yet but playing in England at moment
Striker – Houston will secure TWO strikers – one of whom is a free agent and one of whom will come on a season long loan from a championship team (rumours i've heard are it is Noel Hunt..not 100% confident on source)

All of these "rumours" have come from a very reliable source, and whilst all may not come true, watch this space!!

My brother was out in swindon town centre the other night when he bumped into the swindon squad. he got chatting and the following things are expected to happen over the coming months:

Ins:
Danny Ward (season loan) directly told from him
Hal Robson Kanu (200k)
Daniel Pacheco (season loan)
Gábor Gyepes (free)
Miguel Comminges (50k)
Rory Fallon (100k)
Nicky Bailey (1.5mill)

Outs:
Alan Obrien (Dagenham) 50k
Billy Paynter (Leeds) Done
Mark Marshall (Released – Darlington)
Kurt Hammonds (Released)

Charlie austin won't be going anywhere ready to stray loyal to the club which plucked him out of non league. Wants at least two more seasons to get the hang of league football, by which time he will probably move on for £3million to West ham in 2012

Returning to the club will be Super Sammy Parkin as striker coach, a position swindon don't have a coach in.

I've heard that Javier Mascherano is very unhappy at Rafa's sacking and may follow him to Inter, Moratti also willing to buy Dirk Kuyt. The owners want £50m for the pair, which will be given to the new manager as their transfer fund.
On the shortlist for new managers – Roy Hodgson, Louis Van Gaal, Sven–Goran Eriksson, Frank Rikjaard, and "Big Phil" Scolari.
Kenny Dalglish will play a more prominent role in the club (either as a Director of Football or in a role similar to Bobby Charlton and scum utd) and has asked Steve Heighway to come back to work with Rodolfo Borrell at the Academy.
Kenny has been in contact with key players Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Fernando Torres and Pepe Reina over the current situation at the club – he told them not to worry about Liverpool and concentrate on their World Cup campaigns.
Since the sacking of Rafa there have been more notifications of interest in buying the club. No idea who they are though.

Daviebhoy, you talk one load of crp. I'm a Celtic fan and I can tell your talk rubbish. Trying to talk about the troubles, shutup mate. The troubles in Ireland have nothing whatsoever to do with Football Rumours, if you wanty talk about troubles and claim you were born and brought up in Belfast you should go on a social forum, and if you really knew anything about the IRA then you would know its not something to go boasting about on the internet. Everyone knows people in Ireland are sick of listening the sectarian stuff in Ireland so why can't you grow up, support your TEAM. And get on with life.
And no I won"t be an anonymous poster.
Celtic Rumours :
Neil Lennon to be announced within the next couple of days (Lawell said 7–10 days and the tenth day is Sunday so it's unlikely to be met).
Joe Ledley is still currently on holiday in Portugal and is expected back early next week, he will then go to Roma to see their facilities then make a decision, Celtic rumoured to have offered him 25,000 a week.
Sol Campbell waiting to Lennon is appointed to make his decision.
Jimmy Bullard is interested in the move to Celtic on a one year loan deal and has phoned Lee McCulloch to ask his views on a possible move.
Liam Lawrence is desperate for a move to Celtic but agreeing a fee around £2m is proving more difficult than expected.
P.S. David Goodwillie's father is a Rngers man therefore I'm assuming so is David, so good chance he'll go if Rngers come calling.

Any Wednesday rumours?

05 Jun 2010 13:38:21
Arsenal will relent on Fabregas if they are offered £40m+ a player by Barcelona. the player in question would not be Yaya Toure as he doesn't want to join arsenal, neither would it be Assulin as he is available on a free. with the arrival of Chamakh, Bojan would also be pointless. given arsenal's defensive priorities, the player may well be Dmitro Chygrynskiy.
to replace Fabregas, the obvious choice is Gourcuff, who would be affordable at the £21.8m buyout clause given the Fabregas sale figures. Assulin may also join Arsenal for free, and i doubt Joe Cole will come to arsenal as we have Arshavin and Nasri.
A bid for Melo could materialise as Wenger is rumoured to want a 4–2–1–3 formation next season instead of the straightforward 4–3–3.
in defence, with 4 CB likely to depart, expect Koscielny to join Chygrynskiy at arsenal.
Gallas, Campbell, Senderos, Silvestre and Traore will all leave (Traore as part of the Koscielny deal). Vela may also move on after the world cup after sensing he will figure less and less in Wenger's plans after Chamakh's arrival.
so my predictions:
OUT: Gallas, Campbell, Silvestre, Senderos(frees), Vela(7m), Traore(p/e), Randall(1m), Simpson(3m), Fabregas(40m+Chygrynskiy), Merida(free, done).
OUT ON LOAN: Szczesny, Wilshere, Bartley, Hoyte, Sunu, Watt, Galindo
PROMOTIONS/WORK PERMITS: Nordtveit, Botelho, Wellington Silva, E–Thomas
IN: Chygrynskiy(p/e), Koscielny(6m+Traore+Coquelin loan), Melo(10m), Gourcuff(21.8m), Assulin(free), Chamakh(free, done).
thats a net profit on transfers of £13m.

05 Jun 2010 11:44:49
FABREGAS
To confirm that the Webster ruling, has not been challenged. Hence, if Fab decided to go down that route, Arsenal could, if they wished to, make a legal challenge, leaving Fab at Arsenal, but wanting to be at Barca, while the process took its due course, which is not ideal! Assuming, the Webster ruling was upheld, the fee Fabregas would have to pay Arsenal would be approx £28million, out of his own pocket. Which means that he would probably have to earn around £55 – 60m to make the payment from taxed funds. If Barca paid it on his behalf, it would become income for him, again tax would have to be paid. Hence, if Barca can raise the funds, by offloading players such as Yaya Toure, they will probably have to pay in the region of £50m. Yaya, won't be going to Arsenal, as Wenger has passed the opportunity to sign him in the past, nor do I think any Barca players will be included in the deal, as Barca will inflate their value & their wages will probably be beyond Arsenal's sensible structure. As can clearly, be seen Wenger tends to favour clever signings such as Vermaelen for £10m or the Lorient defrender they are after for £5 – 8M. The exception will be Gourcuff, if Fab goes & the wages for Joe Cole.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Whilst this has some fairly sound logic behind it you are missing the fundamental reason that Fabregas will not use the Webster Ruling to get out of Arsenal. He can't. Fabregas signed an agreement in October 2009 which saw him get a pay rise, a "loyalty back payment" and a one year extension to his contract. Legally, under FIFA regulations and generally all contractual law, this counts as a NEW contract and as such Fabregas has served only 9months of his current contract. To invoke the Webster ruling you must have served 3 years of your contract (or 2 years if you are over the age of 28). There is simply no way for Fabregas or Barcelona to legally dispute this. If Fabregas wishes to use the Webster Ruling he needs to wait two years.

Whether Barcelona, and Fabregas, like it or not ALL the power is with Arsenal. Arsenal are running in profit in a fully sustainable model. Unlike Liverpool and United, Arsenal do not need to sell to service their debt. Any and all money from transfer goes straight to Wenger. Arsenal do not need to sell and will only sell if they believe it will benefit the club. Fabregas knows this and is willing to stay if Barcelona can't reach an agreement with Arsenal. Fabregas is also known to be getting increasingly frustrated by Barcelona's unwillingness to meet Arsenal's demands. He has told friends that he feels slightly undervalued by Barcelona and may be having second thoughts about whether a move would really benefit him at this stage of his career.

As for other Arsenal transfer news Koscielny has told Lorient that he wishes to join Arsenal, and negotiations are continuing between Lorient and Arsenal. A fee of around £7.4m is looking like the likely fee. Could Wenger pull of another Vermaelen? Or will Arsenal end up with another Cygan? A keeper is no longer a target after enquiries over Hart, Lloris and Frey were all met with asking prices deemed to be unrealistic. Wenger may go back after the WC but at this stage he feels it is not worth it.

Seen a lot on David Silva in here and this is what I read on Friday (Spanish paper), a valencia official was interviewed and said the silva to madrid deal is all but done, when he was quizzed why its taking such a long time his response was something along the lines manchester city have offered far more money than RM which valencia were considering but the players wish is to go to Madrid.
Maybe true maybe not, I don't know and deals have a habit of going wrong at the last minute, but the thing that grabbed my attention is there was no mention what so ever of man u.

LIVERPOOL NEWS!!

I live in Golders Green, London and there is a very high ranking banker that has is coffee in a coffee shop I go to. He is very jovial and polite but never divulges what field of banking he works in! Over the years he has dropped hints at a few 'happenings' and they have all proved to be true eg. Portsmouth fiasco, Lerner buying Villa and specially Man city takeover. This morning, Saturday 5th of June he said and I quote ' Liverpool is sold. The new owners will not publicise any time soon but there will be huge changes to everything. Rafa leaving was part of a clean up process as they did not want to be tied to any contract of any kind. Money will be available and new faces brought in.' I'm not a Livepool fan but he spoke with such certainty that I wished the 'buyers' were buying my team ' West Ham'.but alas we've got Abbot and Costello at Upton Park.
So, you heard it here first.
Jealous Hammers fan

sorry fella but why would a high ranking banker live in golders green?? i know it doesn't say so but i work in and around that area and to be honest their aint no good coffee shops apart from the main stream one's and if so then why not drink in one where he is local? which brings me to think he must be a golders green local so again WHY would a high ranking banker live in golders green its not a great area at all!!

Possible signing – I think we need another central defener, a tall one, because of Mikalick's depeature, another left back as cover– Possible Ian Harte (Carlise) and we need to strengten the central midfeild because i don't think that Kilkenny and Howson could cope all the time in the championship and we'll need another winger.. I think Gradel is top class and Snodgrass but Snodgrass gets abit tierd sometimes, i don't think we'll bring in tones off players, or spend that much money but i'd love to see Gary Hooper at Elland Road

RANGERS RUMOURS

Th bank have freed up £5m to spend on players/wages.

OUTS
Madjid Bougherra £7–9m La Liga/Prem (dependent on WC performance)
Danny Wilson £4m Liverpool
Contract expirations–Boyd, Beasley, Smith, Broadfoot etc

So prospective funds are £11m as some transfer money will be used to pay debt. Even then, don't expect all of this to be spent.

INS
Andy Webster– Dundee UTD (return from loan)
Martin Petrov– free agent– free, but cheap price will be compensated by wage demands
David Nugent– Portsmouth– £1.5m
David Goodwillie– Dundee UTD– £1m
Craig Conway– Dundee UTD– £2m
Centre half from out of nowhere– £1m
Versatile MLS player– £1m
free agents

(not all will happen but watch out!!)
McArthur and Ledley will not be joining as Ledley is moving to Roma, and McArthur to Wigan to link up with old friend James McCarthy.

Davie Weir is staying on for one more playing season, although he won't feature quite so frequently, after this he'll join Ally and Kenny on the coaching staff whilst Walter moves upstairs.

Re this one:
Celtic FC

Lennon's appointment has taken so long due to the fact it took a hitch (don't know why but most likely the upstairs man role i.e Stuart Baxter, the Finland coach). I've also heard from a realiable source that the board are wanting to get rid of McManus and Hinkel due to the fact their wages are quite high. Also I would like to say that Martin Petrov is not going to Rangers due to the fact that they couldn't afford him and he would probably move to another EPL team. Anyway I've heard that Rickie Lambert has been contacted by his agent about interest from Celtic and he is supposed to be relishing the prospect of talking to Neil Lennon
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Yeah the delay is over the mentor situation, burt with regards to getting rid of McManus and Hinkel, Hinkel yes, not just because of his wage but, because there is clubs showing interest, but McManus is actually wanted by Lennon, he could still go to boro, but as lennon wants him to stay, don;t be surprised ih McManus comes back to paradise for next season, btw, his wages aren;t that high, his only a mid level earner at parkhead.
Also i don;t think there's any truth in the rumour of Lambert, maybe his agent is flaunting him around, but there will definetly be no interest from celtic

so will sign the following :

alan hutton

DAVID GOODWILLIE
craig conway
david nugent
and mibe joe ledley but he'd prefer a move to the epl

five million wouldn't cover the costs of the four players (not including petrov and ledley), hutton is valued at £9 million apparently, goodwillie is rated around the £2.5 million mark, nugent is rated at £1–1.5 million and conway i'm unsure about so the iorny of you asking the editor why he posted such rubbish is fairly amusing.

I don;t like questioning peoples rumours, but this one just seems a bit off to me, apparently a jovial banker who drinks in the same coffee shop as you, i'm guessin you don;t know his name as you don;t know what banking field he is in, and this banker drops "hints at happenings" and today, and i'm quoting your quote on this, he told you "Liverpool is sold. The new owners will not publicise any time soon but there will be huge changes to everything. Rafa leaving was part of a clean up process as they did not want to be tied to any contract of any kind. Money will be available and new faces brought in" for starters that isn't a hint at possible happenings, that is alleged facts! and secondly, if the story was true, i'm sure he'd be under some sort of privacy agreement that would refrain him from talking about it, of course people always flaunt those clauses, with family and close trusted friends, not just to the guy down the coffee shop. And why would the owners not publicise soon, the club are in disarray, season tickets need o be sold, the fans aren't happy, this kind of news would get the fans on side, sell season tickets and bring a bit of stability to the club. In saying that though, I do hope it's true, but unfortunately i don't believe it, it's just a little too jovial for me

FABREGAS

"..£90 million to buy–out his contract via Webster ruling.."

My friend, it is £28.6 million to buy out his remaining contract not £90 million hence Barca's first bid of €35 million to test the water/show they won't pay big bucks. This is why if English clubs want big money from other teams for their players (bar the Ronaldo over inflation of the century) buy–out clauses need to be inserted – e.g. Ronaldo has a buyout clause of €750 million!! But as someone has already mentioned English law doesn't recognise the "buyout clause" just buying out the remainder of someone's contract.

Therefore the best we can hope for is £40 million plus a player (likely to be Dmytro C.).

The comments get odder by the minute! It is simply not possible to force a player to stay at a club, if he wants to go. From Fabregas's comments, he is determined to return to Barcelona. Legally he could possibly be foprced, but practically not. Buy out clauses, as far as I am aware are not used by English clubs, which means they could be challenged in the courts or are simply unworkable. Nor has it been stated that he has one. I have my doubts that Fab could go by using the Webster ruling, as it hasnt been challenged in the courts, so Arsenal could in theory put it to the test leaving Fab in limbo whilst the legal process takes place & I doubt, due to the contract changes made a year ago, that he qualifies under Article 17. I cannot forsee anything other than a difficult negotiation, with Fab at Barca, next season. The only hope is if Wenger persaudes him to give it one more year.

FABREGAS

it seems nobody on this site knows what they are talking about with the cesc fabregas saga. the vibe around here is that cesc will be playing at barca next season because he wants to. this could hardly be more wrong. yes he wants to, but his contract is until 2015 (im not pretending i have an inside source but this has been stated several times by senior members of the arsenal board ans arsene wenger) therefore the only way he will be sold is if he or barca buy out the contract (i am not sure of the exact figure this would cost, but i know it is in excess of 90m, that was why arsenal offered fabregas 3m and a pay rise to extend his contract by a year, so they could enlarge the buy–out clause) that is a lot of money and funnily enough barca have debts of over 400m and have just bought david villa for 30m, they simply cannot afford that. arsenal however will most probably accept anything above 65m, or 50m + pique or yaya toure. however, again, barca cannot afford this so the deal quite simply will not go through. fabregas will not walk out on arsenal because it would cost him the 90m and he still loves arsenal, just not as much as barca. expect to see fabregas in an arsenal shirt next season, with 1 big name signing playing along side him. he will most likely move to barca next year, giving the catalans a year to manage their finances and sell off the likes of ibrahimovic, maxwell and marquez.

spartak moskow to up bid to 8.7 million for mcgeady

from an itk

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Lee Naylor will not be going to Rangers, He will be going to championship, with 3 clubs having already offered him terms.

As for the mcgeady keane theory, wise up yesterday you said that Lawell was in talks with keane, going to spend 10m on im using the Mcgeads money, so you think that celtic got the faxed bid in the morning, tracked down robbie, flew him up and had a meeting all in the space of 3 hours, again, wise up, Celtic will not spend 10m on Robbie Keane, or on anyone over the age of 26/27 Celtic are a well run business and that is just not a viable business option.

SO would people on here please stop saying Robbie K is coming back to parkhead, he will, eventually, but in a ROy keanesque way, when he is 32/33. not just now, also Although we would love Bellamy to come back up, thaht is just wishful thinking, he won;t be, again, he may do in the future, but at the moment, it is not the move he is looking for.

ARSENAL
I find the comments regarding Fabregas amusing. Firstly, as Fabregas has stated he wants to go & Barca that they want to sign him, I believe he will be transferred, after some difficult negotiations to Barca. With Gourcuff, the likely replacement. The nonsense spouted in respect of Fab's contract is amusing, as I cannot imagine anyone writing on this site has seen his contract! Having spoken to a friend who is a city lawyer, he is of the opinion that the loose use of the term 'contract extension' merely means that he lengthened his agreement to stay at Arsenal. It is highly unlikely, as is being suggested that the original contract has been made longer. As, the terms of the contract have changed significantly, it is likely that a new contract was drawn up, to include his £3m payment & increased wages, as well as other terms that would have changed since his previous contract was signed. Whislt commiting themselves to an upfront payment of £3m, I would suggest Arsenal would not have left this loophole open.

To the Arsenal fan with his CAPS LOCK stuck down:

Chill out fella. IF Cesc goes, Gourcuff is odds on to replace him. Cesc is likely to go not because of Arsenal's stance on the saga, or the 4/5 years left on his contract, but because he's tired of not winning anything. Personally I want to see Cesc in Arsenal shirt next season, but if he won't wear his heart on his sleeve and give 100% for us, CHEERIO! as we can use the cash on people who are desperate to play for Arsenal and Wenger. Sht, I'd give my left bollck to play for the Arsenal so I'm sure as sht Wenger can find 100 men fitter and more skilful than myself to replace him!

We have to resign to the fact that Cesc is off because he wants to go, and so Barca will meet us halfway and chuck in Dmytro Chygrynskiy + £35–40m

Other Arsenal rumours:

Out:

Merida – Atletico – free – done
Campbell – Celtic – free – almost done
Silvestre – free
Senderos – free
Rosicky – Dortmund – £7m
Eduardo – Lyon – £8m
Cesc – Barca – £35–40m + Chygrynskiy p/e
Sagna – £18m – Italy

In:

Chamakh – Done
Gourcuff – Bordeaux – £21.8m – his buy–out clause figure
Koscielny – Lorient – £8m + Coquelin + Traore loans
Chygrynskiy – Barca – p/e
Assulin – Barca – free
van der Weil – Ajax – £8m

Most of these are likely to go through as Wenger has been scouting all these (bar Chygrynskiy admittedly). I could see a little gentlemen's agreement if Joe Cole has signed for United, we could be left to sign Gourcuff unchallenged, who themselves have their eye on him and Jérémy Toulalan.

IWWT, looking forward to new season and a new challenge.

To the person who posted this.."TO ALL THE PEOPLE SAYING FABREGAS CAN BUY OUT HIS CONTRACT, NO HE CANNOT. 2 GUYS HAVE ALREADY POSTED THE TRUTH AND NO ONE LISTENS:

Cesc signed a contract renewal for an extra year and a pay rise in 2009, so he can only buy himself out in 2012, from the day in which he signed his contract extension".

You are wrong my friend.

It is the date of the original contract signing that is important. Any extension is just that, an extension of the original contract.

Fabregas has got legal people involved just to cover all bases and make sure there is legal back–up for any legal challenge made to him being able to buy out his contract.

Mark my words – Fabregas will be a barcelona player before the new season starts. He might not go down the buy–out of his contract route, but that will be used as a last resort if Arsenal don't budge an a ridiculous asking price.

Liverpool.
Just because Rafa left dosent mean that Gerrard will follow. In fact Gerrard will stay at the club as he was not a fan of Rafa and was glad to see him go. He will wait and see the new manger who comes in and if he sees a credible name take charge he will stay. Gerrard was unhappy with the way Benitez handled things this season and wanted out because he did not see the spaniard taking the club any futher. Now that Rafa has left Gerrard will most likly be at the club next year. There were rumours that Gerrard had a chat with the chairman and explained that he be leaving because of Rafa..but just a rumour.
Torres to chelsea will not happen. Inter milan and Barca are the only clubs who can tempt Torres away but both clubs don't want to pay Liverpools 80 million valuation. He will be at the club another year at least.
Mash however will leave for Barca. They are currently concentrating on the Fab deal, once that is settled(one way or the other) they will bid for Masch.
Also i have heard that the new owners are closing in on the takeover and it was they who decided that Rafa was to go. Until the deal goes through they will be working through the chairman and kenny. I understand that they will provide funds this summer, not massive but substatial for some new faces. All Rafas targets are still being montierd while Kenny has added his own names to the list. He will work on new signings until the new manager comes in. The managers and players on Kennys are not being shown to the public so don't believe all the press reports. I will however post SOME of the names tomorrow. DONT BELIEVE THE PRESS, THINGS ARE NOT AS BAD AS THEY HAVE BEEN MADE OUT TO BE>>>YNWA.

Maynard will not be joining burnley. yes Bristol city are a bigger club then Burnley, just because you spend 1 season in the prem you think that makes you a big club. My cousin is a big fan of the spanish football team and has travelled from manchester to watch some of the WC matches. he tried to watch one of there traning sessions but was turned away, when he flew from manchester airport there was two men on the flight who he then saw in a resturant having a meal with david silva. im not sure but this seems to me like either man city or man utd have sent some people to see him. its out that silva has said he does not want to play for man city as there not in the champions league, so my gess is they were man utd scouts sent to talk to him.

To the Special person who wrote

2QPR News

Warnock has been given the green light to spend, for the push next season, to the tune of 10 million plus, he'll do it as he always has.wisely.

keeper in, Paddy Kenny (done deal) (750k)

Defenders in, Wheater (4m) Macienne (loan with view to permanent move), Hill (750k)

Midfielders in, Ambrose (750k) Derry (500k), plus a bid to keep Tarrabt at the club for another season.

Forwards in, Boyd (3m) Hooper (4m) Sharp (2.5m),

these will all be subject to none of these forwards
recieving offers from the premiership of course."

Clint Hill and Shawn Derry are out of contract and available on free transfers. So If QPR have so much money they are willing to give Palace 1.25 million for nothing. then thank you.

David Jenson spokeman for PALACE2010 has already said that the Ambrose deal is off and Darren will stay at palace next year.

Please keep up when posting made up rubbish

Re. Rafa didn't like Owen.

According to Jamie Carraghers book, Benitez made a fairly constructive (and minor) criticism of Michael Owens ability to play with his back to goal.

Owen was gone 48 hrs later.

If Torres goes anywhere it will be to Chelsea, he and Yossi have already held talks. There is still a chance that gerard, torres, yossi and mascherano will stay but it is highly unlikely, i sincerely hope i am wrong, at this moment in time i am not.

Good, but unexpected, news for L'pool fans.
Discussions are well advanced for a certain M.van ~Basten to take the reins at Anfield. The dutchman''s credentials and ambitions make him a strong candidate for the seat vacated by Senor Benitez.

Keep the faith. Frank

Leeds will cast an eye over Leon Britton who is available on a free from Swansea. Competition for his signature is coming from Wigan..watch this space!

Leeds are taking in foreign players on trial, some world cup rejects. This is not so bad as some are as good as theo walcott.

> Also this is a transfer rumours page. Not a "Bitch about Leeds" page. Just looking at this website it is obvious leeds is one of the biggest clubs in England and even has a bigger fanbase than most premier league clubs. Suck on that all you glory supporting chelsea, arsenal, liverpool, Man City and scum united fans!

Ha.ha.i told you guys two days before that it'll be easier for mourinho to sign xavi & messi than essien & lampard.now my words has come true.
OFFICIAL:essien has signed a new deal with chelsea which will keep the 27year old ghanian at s.bridge till 2015.

now take my words
man utd will sign d.silva&chelsea will sign aguero.no matter both the clubs has declared both are not for sale.(dejavu essien, lyon–chelsea deal).jose will take a.cole from chelsea& no one else.if barca don't buy torres he will sign for chelsea because rafa was the only factor which kept torres at anfield even after all these failures & not his love for reds.torres may even follow rafa & but won't be at anfield next season& that's assured. :–(

Now I could be putting 2 and 2 together here and getting 8, but I think there is definately something happening at Liverpool regarding the Takeover, and all those who have been slagging 007, Mr Broughton et al could all end up eating their words.

I have been a Liverpool Season Ticket holder for some 30 years. Normally the first deadline passes for renewals by now, yet this year they have still not even announced prices let alone started the renewal process. For a club with money trouble you would think getting cash in would be a priority, and as everyone knows, the cash from season ticket sales is critical for most clubs to finance amongst other things summer transfers (initial down–payments) and the like.

Couple this together with Rafa leaving (who I spoke to 2 weeks ago and he said he was staying and we all know the club can't really afford to pay him off unless something is happening) and it certainly may be cause for optimism. As I say I could be well off the mark, but the season ticket renewal thing is certainly beyond explanation.

IPSWICH TOWN NEWS!!

After having 3 million and 3.5 million bids for Micheal Chopra turned down. Ipswich have now gone back in with a 3.75 million bid. Chopra is Keane's main target and reports suggest that Chopra wants to play under Keane again and the pair have a very close bond.

If this bid is rejected Ipswich may rise there bid to 4 million.

Hemmings will gain full control of PNE once the Patel's are persuaded to sell up their shares, as Wilkinson has already agreed to sell his at the start of the stock exchange week on Monday. Hemmings will appoint his son, Peter as chairman once the deal is fully complete. He will also have investors involved with the club (including McManus) who will takeover the club after Hemmings sorts out Preston's financial state and recoups his investment. Shaw will stay on in some capacity with PNE as agreed with Hemmings whilst Shaw generously sold his shares. Hemmings wants to trim the wage bill and wants to encourage Ferguson to sign up and coming players, whilst also bringing in a few youth players from Preston. PNE will have to sell at least 4 players before they can make any movement in the transfer window, unless he brings in loans from Man Utd, on next to nothing wages. Hemmings wants Preston to make the Prem within 3 years but wants to make sure the financial side of the club is secured first and foremost.

Ferguson has an idea of who he wants to bring in this summer:

Matty James (already done deal, however waiting for start of pre season to officially announce – Loan)
Andy Taylor (M'boro)
Dorian Dervite (Spurs – Free)
Richard Brodie (York)
Nicky Butt (4k a week wages – Free)
Ritchie De Laet (Man U – Loan)
Charlie Austin (Swindon – Only big money signing of summer, and that is if we manage to fend off competition.)
Danny Green (Dagenham)

Out

Mellor (Barnsley)
Collins (Leeds)
Carter (Leeds)
Chaplow (Apparently according to papers, Blackpool are interested, however I haven't heard that myself.)
Elliott (Colchester)
Trotman (Huddersfield)
Hart (Hibs)
Wallace (Burnley)
Proctor (Shrewsbury – Loan)
Miller (Dagenham – Loan)
Nolan (Wednesday)
Brown (Wednesday)

Barton and Mayor will feature more in the first team next season.

Mawene will be offered a new contract.

Macca, you said:
"Torres – Chelsea 60%" – He's already spoken about the physicality of the league and is widely known not to want to play for another English side."
..Chelsea is in England if I'm not mistaken..which club did you mean? Barca?

Look..I think it's best for the club if all the players who want to leave do exactly that.
Moving on swiftly, I certainly hope that the new manager uses Nemeth, Dalle Valle and Pacheco..the academy hasn't produced a star player in a while..this will be an opportunity.

A.K.A Skarayasposo (spelling ) He would love to team up with Mcleish but the 55k a week and sunshine might be the pull factor to Turkey.

Your spot on with the turkish interest there, Kayserispor, they are actually managed by ex–ranger Shota Averladze, and they are quite well off, put together a very lucrative package for him, if your a betting man, get your money on him going there mate

Any idea atol who it might be m8, i heard something about hutton a while ago involving bougherra going the other way. i would hope it would be hutton, lovenkrands or ferguson(no chance whatsoever)
i havent heard anything this is just me personally but i think liverpool may throw kygriakos into the wilson deal. wouldn't really want him back. i do hope wilson leaves tho he is a great prospect but i don't want any1 at ibrox who isn't 100% commited. how do others feel about wilson?

I heard a couple of weeks ago, that there was a swap deal goin on with boughy and hutton, with some money involved, not sure who was gettin the money, correct me if i'm wrong here, but don;t spurs still owe rangers some cash for the original hutton deal?? but the rumour about boughy and hutton has some validity, just thought i'd let yo know that I heard about that as well

i think it was 2 mil plus hutton for bougherra. i don't know if spurs still owe money for hutton but if they do it will be very little i would think. i don't know if i would be happy or not as bougherra is quality but hutton is a legend if we did get hutton back i would like to see him at right back with whittaker being put to right mid with davis in the middle along with thomson and hopefully petrov although i really can't see petrov signing to be honest

Heard from a close source in the liverpool F.C Backroom staff that the manager short list is only 3 managers

1) frank Rijkarrd

2) Guus Hiddink

3) louis Van Gaal

He said that these men are the only one's being looked at and the decision will be made buy the new owners after King Kenny and Purslow have done there interviews and given their reports to the new owners. Everything I am being told will unfold throughout the summer. No quick appointments so any signings will be limited.

Oh!! and to the idiots posting the Arry rumours that LFC put on their website. The details on that page say at the top and bottom of it, that all details are from the tabloid's, and have no bearing on what LFC think or do. please read in full before posting such stupid comments!

I come on here for a laugh every week due to the ridiculous made up stories that are generally wide of the mark!

Leeds Utd have not yet signed Connolly, nothing is a done deal until the player signs..Montgomery and Eustace to name but 2 players who agreed in principle (the latter even passing a medical) only to go back to their respective clubs and use the Leeds package to secure more money from their clubs (as well as a nice sweetener for their agents too no doubt!) That's football – Blame Jean–Marc Bosman!

Whether you love Smithy or hate him, know this.. he had no choice in where he went from Leeds. Newcastle and Man Utd were the only 2 clubs interested and due to Leeds' financial plight at the time Man Utd were the only ones who would pay £6m up front. Newcastle wanted 3 separate payments over a set period of time. No good to us back then. Alan wanted to join Newcastle back then.

Alan Smith is not coming back to Leeds.

For those telling us Hooper has signed, we have more chance of signing Ronaldo! He hasn't. He won't.

For those telling us Sharp has signed. He hasn't. He won't.

For those telling us Becchio is going to Reading. He hasn't he won't.

If SG wants to spend big on a Beckford replacement there is no doubt one of the saleable assets has to go. There's 2. Snodgrass & Kilkenny. They are wanted by several clubs but both are reluctant to leave. However, it's up to the club and if they decide to sell, one will go..there are 3 interested clubs for Snodgrass and 2 for Kilkenny.

Grella will be expected to push harder next season and expect him to start more games. He is expected to be a better Championship player than in League 1.

Expected: 4 more permanent signings and 2 season long loans.

Two definites

Connolly (free)
Hulse (800k)

Then take your pick as SG & KB have many irons in the fire and are keen on many players, they are also keeping their cards very close to their chest..it's just which of those players will come and at what price.

Every other Leeds Utd 'rumour' is non factual and based on conjecture and boredom!!

MON, new liverpool manager 100%" – Given he has stated re transfers that investment is needed simply to stand still in this league, i doubt he'd take a position where cash was in short supply.

"Torres – Chelsea 60%" – He's already spoken about the physicality of the league and is widely known not to want to play for another English side.

"Yossi – Chelsea 90%" – Wanted away because he was bemused by Rafa's rotation policy, he could still be on the move but it's a little less certain now.

"Mascherano – Barca/Milan 90%" – This is the only one of your predictions that looks solid, given his family has failed to integrate well in the local community/England.

"Stevie G – 90% Real" – Bear in mind that Dalglish was a key character witness in SG's assault trial and the work SG's done for KD's wife's cancer charity, i think it's far from a 90% certainty if indeed Dalglish were to ask him to stay

"From a very disgruntled Liverpool fan. I hope i am proven wrong but at the moment mark my words it is very close to happening.

Macca"

Have a little faith Macca, the takeover may not be imminent as some may say, but i'd be willing to bet that the mass exodus everyone expects fails to materialise. One or two will go, and gettiing top dollar for Masch will be the main priority as no Liverpool side should be setting out with two defensive midfielders.
