Expect david moyes to tie up january deals for sporting lisbons mouthino and man citys micah richards

Notts County are close to signing Nathen Doyle from Hull on a season loan and have also offered Hulls forgotton man bryan hughes a month to month deal

Dundee United this week failed to make a regular interest payment on the debt they owe to their bankers, this is the fourth time this year that the club have failed to meet payment deadlines. Chairman Steven Thompson has been ordered to be represented at a meeting at the bank's HQ in Edinburgh on Monday morning when it is likely that he will be instructed to investigate all means available to the club to obtain funding to repay a significant proportion of the outstanding debt. The bank are believed to be prepared to give the club until the close of the January transfer window to make the payment, however if no satisfactory payment is made it is likely that the bank will apply for administration at that time.

I previously left the comment about John O'Shea, which by the way I have now looked into and this is looking likely. A deal in principle has almost been agreed between Liverpool and United. United are looking to sign a right–back, centre–mid, winger and a striker.
The names in the hat are Rafinha, Maicon or Sergio Ramos for the right–back position.
For centre–mid Fergie is considering Miguel Veloso, Daniele De Rossi or Marek Hamsik.
The winger could well be Dirk Kuyt, as part of the O'Shea deal. The other names being bandied about are Aaron Lennon and Ashley Young.
I would like nothing more thn to sit here and say that David Villa or Sergio Aguero are set to join the club, but that would be nonsense. I've heard that Bojan could be set to join on a temporary deal, or a young unheard of Scottish striker called Shaun Harper who plays for Hearts. He wouldn't be first choice but back–up like Welbeck and Macheda. The main target is Mirko Vucinic of AS Roma. He is a quality centre–forward, a fantastic Montenegrin attacker. The fee is set to be about £18 million. This stuff about Paul Pogba is crap, the lad was "purchased" when he was 15 and so was not on a professional contract at Le Havre so no complaint can be made.

The rumours of Liverpool being up for sale are correct, they've been up for sale ever since the Yanks took over! They always wanted to make a quick buck except they've always wanted far too much. However, the news that the stadium won't be built until at least 2018 seem to point to the Yanks leaving sooner rather than later. They're slowly coming to terms with how passionately and strongly Liverpool fans feel over their ownership. They have planning permission on a new stadium but it won't be them building it. Once they get a good offer, they'll be off. But who will make a good enough offer? Right now, seemingly no–one.

As for January, if Dossena is to leave, it will be permanent. If Babel is to leave, its likely to be a loan as he's still very young and his price could go up if he goes to the World Cup.

One big one though. Mascherano WILL leave next summer, its sorted already. To Barcelona. It will however be one Argentine in and one Argentina out as Sergio Aguero arrives from Atletico. Same sort of money as we receive for Masch. Stevie will be shifted further back as he gets older. We'll also be monitering Daniel Aggers fitness very closely this season. If it doesn't improve he'll be sold off to a less physical league. Certainly one young English CB (Shawcross, Cahill etc.) will be bought in and maybe two if Agger leaves.

Sent a few rumours in previously but none have been published so fingers crossed for this one.
Heard from a really reliable source that John O'Shea is wanted by Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez. O'Shea is a versatile player who can play anywhere across the defence or in centre midfield. The fee will be around the £8 million mark if the Yanks would just give him the funds. I personally don't believe this transfer will happen, but I thought it was an unusual one from my usually reliable source and so I thought I would post it.
Only other rumours I have heard are Sam Vokes to Cardiff when the loan window opens, Marlon Harewood to Newcastle, or Marlon King. Another unusual one is that George Burley will be sacked if we fail to pick up all three points on Saturday against Macedonia. I would like to see SAF take on the role but that will never happen. Possibly Ally McCoist but he's unproven so I don't think it will be him. I reckon it will either be jobless Gordon Strachan, or Dundee United gaffer Craig Levein.

The Trump Card

Liverpool have no money and won't until the yanks sell up. All money we get goes to them, while Rafa gets a minor percentage of it, like £10m of the Alonso fee. Rafael Sobis will not join. Rafa's happy with Voronin, N'Gog and Torres. We as fans know that N'Gog's not ready and Voronin's terrible, but Rafa knows Voronin's a good player and wants him to repeat his Hertha Berlin form. The other players who we all want Rafa to sell see Lucas Leiva, who Rafa rates highly and will not sell him, Degen who will leave at the end of the season and Darby to become the new 2nd right back, Dossena has been trying to be sold all summer but will go out on loan in January to an Italian club, which I've heard Bari. He'll join for £5m should they wish to sign him, Babel will join Ajax on loan in January and should he perform well there then Rafa might take him back and give him 1 last shot, or sell him for about £7m.
We won't be signing anyone, frees or otherwise unless we are taken over. If Lucas Neill were to join then he'd get smashed up by Carragher, and Sobis isn't Rafa's type of player. The only one I could see would be Viduka, who's a proved goalscorer at the Premiership level and is very good in the air, a quality needed for a lone striker.

Notts are looking at bringing Andy Hughes and Nathen Doyle on long term Loan deals on Monday with option to buy both at end of loan deal

Hull want 300,000 for Doyle and Leeds want about 500,000 for Hughes

Have heard a couple of things, the big one is ManUre are facing the same sanctions as Chelsea over some player i have never heard of! BUT FIFA deliberately set the two window ban to allow arbitration to reduce it to one window in line with Roma's punishment over the Mexes transfer.
Also heard LFC are seriously looking at Rafael Sobis if he can prove his fitness. Rafa knows he is short up front should Torres get injured. The Viduka rumour is rubbish, as is any other player linked to LFC prior to January. Seriously hope the thieving yanks sell up!!

If and when sturrock gets sacked from plymouth ,neil warnock will become the next manager , sturrock is living on borrowed time due to is very good spell when 1st in charge, sturrock is still popular because of this and until certain people wake up and smell the coffee we will get relegated unless action is taken

Lucas Neil and Mark Viduka have recently checked into the Radisson Hotel in Liverpool. Dont know if they are here to talk to Liverpool or Everton. Could be Tranmere. who knows. I just know they're here.

Nigel Pearson's scotuing/recruitment team at Leicester City has supposedly been looking Andrej Kramarić after a recent scouting mission in Eastern Europe. The 18 year old Croat striker has recently broken into the Dinamo Zagreb team and has played for the national team at Under 16, Under 17, and Under 19 levels. Dinamo are apparently keen to send him out on loan to an English club so that he can experience the more psyhical side of the game, as well as giving him much needed match time.

To the person who said cathcart to join newcastle. . . newcastle pulled out of a permanent transfer due to a very minor problem with medical. sir whiskey nose ferguson not amused with newcastle's conduct over the medical so don't expect cathcart to join on loan or permanent any time soon

Manchester United didn't spend a lot this transfer window but they will have many changes in January. Expect the following to happen in January:–
michael carrick to either totenham, everton or aston villa.
sun ji park either to qatar or psv.
anderson to either inter or valencia.
united to sign manuel neuer from schalke.
united to sign shawcross from stoke city.
united to sign javier pastore from huracan.

From contacts inside Anfield: In the wake of the Chelsea transfer ban LFC staff have been instructed to prepare an unofficial dossier to hand over to FIFA "exposing" Liverpool's own transfer breaches. This order has come from Hicks and Gillet who are hoping that the "punishment" of a transfer embargo will relieve the pressure on them from fans demanding reinforcements to the squad allowing them to silo all transfer funds into future debt repayments. . .

To the Dundee Fan who printed this

"Dundee United Chairman Steven Thompson and Manager Craig Levein had a massive falling out on Tuesday, after Levein refused to consider an approach from Ipswich Town for the Arab Midfielder Morgaro Gomis.Reports in Dundee suggest that Levein has become disillusioned with the board and has instructed his agent to let it be known around the clubs UK wide."

I was at the Civic Reception given to United on Tuesday for the clubs centenary. Unless Levein and Thomson are two of the greatest actors of all time then I suspect that you are just on the wind up.

Considering that Ipswichs bid was only £250,000 no–one at United were going to accept it so there was no fall out.

The big topic of the night was where was John Bennett, one of Uniteds directors? Given that Dundee have just failed to make another repayment to Bennett while still buying players Bennett was at his solicitors. The small print of his deal with Dundee doesn't make good reading for the Dark Blues. Dark Clouds looming over the Dens Park side of the street.
