Steve Kean to be forced out of the Blackburn job.

Alan Shearer has been told by Venkys that the job is his if he wants it.(26)(8)PFFT! What do Venkeys know!I suspect Alan Shearer would steer clear of any offer from the Venky's, also he does not have a full Pro Euro licence, so who's to say he can be successful as a Manager, Blackburn are the laughing stock of the premier league right now.

doncaster could be about to sign alan smith from newcastle.
would be a bad signing tho!(16)(13)It would be a bad signing for a premier league club, but not Doncaster, no disrespect inteded of course but he'd be great playing at that level again, a well experienced player and of definite Championship caliber still!Everyone has backed this stupid rumour, but no-one has revealed how Donny will afford his wages. Its impossible. If Leeds couldnt afford them, how are the understudys going to? John Ryan is an idiot, he's just stirring this up to get people to support Doncaster and not Leeds; he has no respect for the Whites and probably still gets off on the Play-Off final win. Times have changed, Mr. Ryan.
wallyMore chance of Will Smith signing than Alan SmithSmith is out injured with a hamstring problem and hasn't played competitive football for a while Pardew has made it clear he is staying due to small squad and off field influences on youngsters. Even on a free Chavcaster could not afford him. If pigs flew he'd be off to lufc once contract expires but more likely go abroad to finish up in America. Go away Doncaster and be realistic!

A sad shrimper ? I'm a furious one.

Still clinging to the hope our management team stays put although I fear those wishes are fading.

A friend of mine has a relative who works at the Club and the likelyhood may be that that either Former pl;ayer Mark Stimson or former boss Steve Thompson will take the reigns till the end of the season.(15)(4)

03 Oct 2011 22:56:43
My sources at Southend have informed me Sturrock and Coughlan WILL go to Plymouth and take Barker and Corr with them as they look to set to rebuild the club.

Paul Simpson/ Peter Taylor/ Keith Millen are on the list to be the next Southend Mananger.(13)(8)

03 Oct 2011 22:52:08
Nottingham Forest are set to make an unusual managerial appointment. They will seek permission from Hartlepool to speak to Mick Wadsworth. They have been impressed with his ability to work on a shoestring budget, and with Doughty ready to step down at the end of the season, he won't be making funds available.(13)(12)How have forest got a shoestring budget? as a Barnsley fan, i get really wound up when this is said......you bought gunter for around £1.5 million, george boateng must be on near on £25,000 a week, derbyshire must have been close to £500,000, miller could rise upto £1.4 million, andy reid and jonothan greening will be on close to £20,000, tudgay and blackstock must have cost between £750,000-£1 million, majewski and lynch also cost.....shoestring budget? look at barnsley mateDerbyshire was on a free mateKeith Millen been at Forest todayMick Wadsworth would not be an unusual appointment - Homer Simpson would be an unusual appointment !!, I like reading the posts for Florist fans they make me chuckle

03 Oct 2011 22:05:23
paul sturrock and graham coughlan to be installed in their respective roles at plymouth in the very near future.

Who Southend have lined up I've no idea. Have not heard anything on that front.(14)(5)Mark Stimson is rumoured to be interested, despite only just taking over at Kettering.

Kettering have no money, might not have a stadium soon (if they cannot renegotiate terms on Rockingham Road) and Stimson has publicly slated his players for being unfit.Sturrock will move by the end of October. Stimson will be in place by the beginning of November.

03 Oct 2011 21:27:50
New doncaster manager Dean Saunders as asked steve brue about the possability of signing goalkeeper Westward on loan(16)(1)False rumour. The keepers name is Westwood !Westwood is needed as back up, and he left the Championship to get established in the Prem. Doncaster would be like an admission of failure for him.

03 Oct 2011 20:48:57
Blackpool are very close to agreeing terms with Lomana Lua Lua as he has been training with the club for the last 10 days and Ian Holloway likes his attitude.(18)(8)Training in two locations that takes some doing

03 Oct 2011 19:00:17
Blackburn boss Steve Kean is keen on naming former England manager Steve McClaren as his new First Team Coach.(5)(17)This is Humour and Not a Rumour.

03 Oct 2011 18:57:50
Steve McClaren is set to find a new club, just a day after leaving Nottingham Forest. Rivals Notts County is set to approach the former England boss after they learned that Martin Allen could join one Championship team by the end of the week. Also, Portsmouth boss Steve Cotterill will be sacked by the board before the Barnsley game and expected to appoint Lawrie Sanchez as their new manager until the end of the year, from Barnet.(4)(19)

03 Oct 2011 18:54:51
Martin O'Neill is being linked with Celtic but not to be in managerial role. Neil Lennon said today that something needed to be changed and the former Hoops boss is in talks with the Glasgow club to be the new reserve team manager and coach within the first team and reserves. O'Neill is keen to get back into football and sees an opportunity with Lennon as a good chance to show he still has it.(6)(21)Would love to c martin back but no chanceO'neill is waitin for a premiership job or top championship side - why would he go to a tinpot league & as a reserve coach at that - unbelievable

03 Oct 2011 17:47:09
Southend Supporter with Southend news.

Paul Sturrock and Graham Coughlan will soon be heading to Plymouth.

And In line for the job at Roots Hall when they depart will be Steve Cotterill.

03 Oct 2011 18:09:13
martin o,niell to either celtic or forest?(7)(27)

03 Oct 2011 17:39:20
Southend fan here in peace ( not here to upset the shrimper die-hards).

Unfortunately I'm hearing that Paul Sturrock and Graham Coughlan are certain to be on their way to Plymouth in the next 2 weeks.

Apparently they are head and shoulders above any of the other contenders.

Also told that Steve Cotterill will be a target for Southend once his future at troubled Portsmouth has been sorted.

I remember Cotterill was a contender for the post at Roots Hall when Steve Tilson was eventually appointed.(4)(10)

03 Oct 2011 17:01:25
Nigel Adkins seen in Bristol hotel!(15)(32)To get maynard , no way will he leave saints you numptyTwo hopes, Bob Hope and no hopeYou heard it hear first!Saints went bust once they can again and Adkins will realise that a decent league 1 team cannot maintain a championship season! So what? isnt he allowed to be in a hotel in Bristol?Adkins leaving Saints for Brizzle, is about as likely as me winning the jackpot on the lottery three weeks running and I'm no Saints fan.Worst rumour I have ever seen on here!!Bcfc fan- No chance of this one-Atkins is doing a great jobHe is probably watching Maynard!Saints went bust once they can again and Adkins will realise that a decent league 1 team cannot maintain a championship season!
---------------------------------
I am no Saints fan but why cant they mantain there start to the season? from what i have seen they Are the real deal. I mean you dont score 25 goals in 10 games if you are an average side do you. As for the rumour why would a manager leave a team top of there leauge for a team clearly going to struggle to survive in the Championship this season, its like Alex Fergerson leaving Man U for Swansea, (no disrespect Swansea fans) not saying Saints are a big club like Man U, its just very unlikely to happen lets be relistic.

Mark Hughes and David Dein to Bristol City? David Dein has been invited on to the board of directors at Ashton Gate. Mark Hughes has also been offered a job as Manager of Bristol City. Bristol City owner Steve Lansdown has said mistakes have been made but is willing to put things rite by spending more money to please the fans(6)(22)Ha ha ha ha No chance, SL won't spend any more he's more focused on the new stadium and as for Hughes - get real!!! Dein would be an ace appointment but he's going to want real money and we ain't got 50p

03 Oct 2011 13:59:36
Norwich city in talks with Man u and
Spurs in an attempt to make the loans
of De-leat and Naughton to become
perminant in January(8)(9)Naughton on his way to Brighton so you won't do it, stubble-jumpers.Yeah cos brighton is such a fabulous club lolDon't want De Laet we will pay Man U to keep him, Naughton is class Spurs want him for the futureNo chance Naughton would leave us in the prem for Brighton in the Championship. He is on a season long loan with no recall so no chance hes going anywhere near Brighton this season and he 100% would not have agreed a deal to sign for anyone in the summer at this early stage.

Terrible effort, go back to class!

03 Oct 2011 13:39:18
Colchester wont sign a striker any time soon because john ward is being way too picky.(3)(6)

03 Oct 2011 13:20:18

Non League Ha Absolute No Money Here Yet Our Managers World Class.. Glasgow Rangers Aha F The Rest. First You Must Make It As a Non League'r Lenny Afore You Travel Like SAF & Co. Young Walter .. 03 Oct 2011 12:20:12
Cotterill is about to be dumped by the new pompey Russian consortium, this will cheer up the Blue few until they find out they are lining up McLaren to come in. Frying pan - fire anyone?(12)(5)Pompey manager Steve Cotterill is now favourite with Skybet at 5/2 to be the next Championship manager to lose his job

02 Oct 2011 22:28:55
Roy Evans ex-Liverpool boss to be unveiled as Nottingam Forest caretaker Manager on Tuesday morning, on an initial 2 month contract(6)(22)Haha etc!

Be careful what you wish for Florist fans, McClaren may have proved to be twice as bad as useless, but who else is going to want to take over there? Tin pot club going nowhere but backwards.Just hope your owners turn out to be like the grubby ones at Birmingham and you wont go up anyway you couldnt even beat us!Aww, are those grapes sour sweetheart?Tin pot club, just like Derby and Leicester, but at least we have been forward, to be moving backwards. Most fans in the country have a soft spot for Forest and they might have soft spots for Derby and Leicester, but they really need to have achieved something to be noticed and to date Derby and Leicester have achieved very little. What ever could you be talking about, surely not those 30yr old trophies... again? (don't tell me, your crystal balls tell you that we'll never ever win them?)

Think i'd rather have our future than yours tbh.Yeah, Derby have achieved nothing have they. Remind me when the last time Forest were in the Premiership? I know we messed it up when we were there, but Hey, better than being stuck in League 1, as you will be, from next May onwards.

02 Oct 2011 22:26:44
Real Madrid are plotting a £50m bid for Brazilian strike sensation Neymar in January. Liverpool are planning a £25m move for Gonzalo Higuain. Paris Saint Germain, Inter Milan,Malaga and Corinthians are all interested in Carlos Tevez. Manchester City will test Arsenal with a bid for RVP.Dirk Kuyt is attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund and could be allowed to leave if they are willing to pay upwards of £8m.(10)(14)Dont sell kyut he is a star player he be a big lost.Robin van persie to city? you really think thats going to happen?Rvp will go no matter what.I really think this post is spot on, van Persil to Citeh is a definate.

steve mclaren eyes return to ashton gate....breaking news...(6)(30)It's only breaking news in your head, it's not actually breaking news though is it?

02 Oct 2011 19:53:53
Plymouth news. Sorry to say Southend fans but The Greens are aiming to bring Coughlan back. He was the sole target but if it means having Sturrock back too for Coughlan to follow suit then thats what I'm hearing James Brent will do.(3)(15)Even if they have no money, Plymouth need to get a board with a sense of decency and bring back Peter Reid.

02 Oct 2011 19:52:10
disscusions have been taking place all day between the board/keith millen and david james.an announcment is now due tomorrow with david james taking over as caretaker manager. the board now want to take there time in making an permanent appointment to make sure the right man is chosen for the job and in david james the board feel they have a safe pair of hands in charge in the short term.(10)(15)Oh look, Millen is being replaced tomorrow - isn't that what y'all said yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that etc?Don't be rediculous , we had a great defence in front of Dean Gerken, look what happened to it when David James plays..he can't manage himself let alone a club!!

02 Oct 2011 19:48:23
I understand Graham Coughlan would insist on having an elder statesman to help him run the team with Carl Fletcher.

It's also been mentioned that he'd only go back there if Paul Sturrock, his manager at Southend, was part of the package.

As a result a wee birdie maybe telling me things are currently in the process of being ironed out at Roots Hall. Paving the way for their return to Home Park.

Blues would insist on as much compensation as possible. Sturrock will cost Plymouth the most as his contact runs till the end of next season.

Whereas Coughlan's deal runs to the end of the season.(4)(9)

02 Oct 2011 19:22:25
Pretty much guaranteed McClaren will be gone by the end of they day.. just waiting for confirmation(24)(4)Never sure why they got rid of Billy DaviesHere is confirmation he has gone

02 Oct 2011 14:26:31
Bristol City have contacted Spurs about Joe Jordan becoming manager again at Ashton Gate. Jordan left City following months of disagreement between him and then Chairman Scott Davidson.(17)(17)I can't really see big Joe coming back for a third stint and leaving a nice little number at Spurs. Mind you, if 'Arry did get the England job, can't really see Jordan being there with him...

02 oct 2011 14:20:15
bristol city news; jo jordan will be appointed manger tomorrow, confirmed by close friend who is on the board,(5)(14)YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWN - nobody cares about your small club, it won't happen, it never happens, you lot are just desperate.Small club HAHA you're joking right.Bull sht, why would Joe want more hassle and less money and go back to a club who did not appreciate him before enough to keep him?

02 Oct 2011 12:43:11

Leeds are set to re-sign Eric Lichaj on loan from Aston Villa, with a view to a permanent deal in January. Danny Pugh's permanent deal has also been wrapped up, after a fee was agreed with Stoke for the utility-man.
wally(14)(11)Lichaj has a bright future at Villa.
I doubt Villa will sell him cheaply.Gd 1 hes injured for bout 4 monthsI am in the US and follow Lichaj. No WAY! He is too badly injured now for anyone to take a transfer interest. And his potential is too great for AV to want to part with him yet.You should work for my local council, you are clearly good at recycling old rumours.
The fact that he has a bad injury did not even put you off.

02 Oct 2011 09:19:52
Norwich to make Naughton and
De-laet perminant in January,

02 Oct 2011 08:53:58
Rumours around Nottingham this morning that Steve McClaren will become the new manager of Blackburn Rovers next week as the Lancashire club hierarchy finally give in to fan pressure and sack Steve Keane. McClaren's guru Bill Beswick left Forest this week to open discussion with Venky's, Blackburn's owners. McClaren believes that his position at Forest is becoming untenable and sees the opportunity offered by Rovers to be too good to turn down. With fan protests expected this afternoon at Forest against chairman and club owner Nigel Doughty and the board, many believe that crisis club Forest can only resurrect their season if they part company with the former England manager now and the compensation package offered by Blackburn will enable them to do that. It's a plausible rumour, I'm not saying its true, but you have to wonder don't you?(10)(15)Great rumour this and what's more - i think you could be right!Bloody hope it's true2million pay off for mcclaren i dont see him getting paid offWell McClaren has gone, so Blackburn fan's have got all his negativity to look forward to. Thank god he has gone.

01 Oct 2011 20:54:09
I have connexions who work for Man City and they tell me that the club is likely to put in a big bid for the unsettled Van Persie in January to replace Tevez. If that fails then they plan on going in for Zenit striker Roman Shirokov.(6)(16)Shirokov is a defensive mid, right, who happens to have scored goals at a striker's rate recently? But I could see him being a Man City target. He is good. But as a striker? LOL!

01 Oct 2011 20:45:53
bristol city will relevie keith millen of manegerial duties on sunday.david james will be appointed as caretaker manager.(10)(17)I hope not as he is the biggest liabilty at thr club+1 i hope not james is one of the worst things to happen to this club! waste of money for someone who can just about catch a cold!Isn't it about time you desperate BC fans actually waited until your useless club does something? You've been sacking Millen every day for the past two weeks and, oh look, he's still there.Keep hearing this one, but other than the fact that he has stated that he would like to manage one day am unaware of any likelyhood it will be bcfc

01 Oct 2011 20:20:01
Spoke to Nicola C at st marys today and spoke in length over signings for jan. Jay Rod still remains there top target but understands they will need to pay over 6mil and high wages. Eddie Howe wanted Lee barnard but due to a court case coming up sfc could not release him even on loan.
Another target is Forrest polish midfielder rad majaskie (spelling?)
Also a CB is still wanted and are currently scouting in Spain(11)(15)Blah blah lies blah lies... you seriously expect us to believe that the executive chairman spoke to some no mark fan, in detail, about forthcoming signings? The fact that you've posted this bull is the very reason the conversation didn't take place, they speak to clowns like you who can't wait to run off to tell everyone else, you're a liar.

Jog on you attention seeking muppet

01 Oct 2011 20:10:30
SD of Watford to be given the push &
Aidy to replace him ....(13)(9)

01 Oct 2011 17:55:05
Bristol City will target the following managers once Millen is relieved of his duties...

David Jones
Gianfranco Zola
Billy Davies
Lee Clark
Paul Tisdale(13)(7)City played well at blackpool but the rnd product is not there tactics wrongDave Jones to be appointed next week.Billy Davies is the only sensible option, but would the the board have the bottle to take on a man who knows his own mind and would they meet HIS expectations?Derick Mclines, st mirren manager is favourite for the job

01 Oct 2011 17:54:45

01 Oct 2011 17:21:09
Andy King is being watched tonight by several premier league clubs including Wigan and West Brom(6)(4)Not sure if he is ready for premiership yet,
his best bet to stick with LCFC this season.
Goes missing in too many matchesWouldn't make a difference if he was wanted or not, why would Leicester sell him? It's not like they need the money and he signed a new contract in April so there's no danger of losing him on a free. King was initially left out of the team but his return to form has coincided with Leicester being unbeaten in the league over the last seven games. He won't be going anywhere.

01 Oct 2011 17:13:48
Gateshead hotshot Jon Shaw will Sign for Carlisle on loan next week. With a fee already being agreed for a January permanent move. £45000 being muted around.(6)(9)45,000? Give your head a shake son and stick to chasing sheep, Heed turned down 90,000 of Luton BEFORE he started blasting goals again. Also heard this today from a few fans who were at the Wallsall game. Craig Curran going the other way on loan? That was what I have been told with Criag Curran going on loan to your lot.

01 Oct 2011 15:59:17
"Raphael Benitez has been approached to take over at Wolves for the rest of the season. McCarthys days are very numbered and a poor performance at Morgans home town team of Liverpool on Saturday will see the end of MM reign at Molineux."

Cobblers. I see one of the directors in the pub every now and again and Morgan doesn't work like that. Firstly Morgan doesn't mind if we get relegated in the short term as long as we bounce back up. Secondly Morgan and the board love Mick because he is straight up, speaks his mind and likes hard working teams rather than primadonnas. Thirdly Morgan is extremely principled and would not line another manager up for the job while someone else has it. Fourthly Morgan wants success with proper financial management and will not waste money. Fifthly Morgan doesn't believe that sacking managers is productive ala Chelsea - he favours the stability of Man United.

Whoever said Moxey would be on the way out is joking. Moxey will be at Wolves until the day he retires and could have his pick of premiership clubs for the same job.(6)(14)

01 Oct 2011 12:29:57

tottenham are signing david silva in return for luka mordic and bale(7)(51)Bcks im a villa fan and id rather have silva than bale and modric ,silva in my opinion is the best in premTotal ste mate so ur telling me silva is worth around about £80 mill never in a milllion years hush ur mouthProblem is Villa fan neither of those 3 would touch your club with a barge pole.Erm well one word - RUBBISH. Why would City sell their most creative and influential midfielder? Why would Silva even dream of going to Spurs? He thinks, rightly, even playing Champions league at City has damaged his career with Spain. Why would Spurs pay an effective £75m for Silva? Even with Bale not quite the payer he was a year ago it's hard to register why they would want to lose two of their three key players to gain one?
Easy answer of course is this is just RUBBISH.Silva is better than both Modric and Bale combined

City to knock Napoli out of the Champions League and then steal their star man Edison Cavani to replace Tevez. Real Madrid will swoop for Robin Van Persie next summer and Neymar in January. Barcelona will sign Luis Suarez next summer , Gonzalo Higuain will replace him at Anfield... Facts !(6)(3)Gonna cost a lot of poke to get suarez 65 mil+Spoken like a true city fan best team ever win everything bla bla bla o my it not going right what should we do that right throw more money at itCavani would be cup tied in the champions league and who says city will get through that group, neymar will be off to spain at some point, van persie? to city in the summer??suarez for sure will be wanted elsewhere, and if liverpool cant qualify for champions league then he wont stay, but higuain to liverpool? cant see it.FACT - right now City are more likely to be out of the Champions league before Napoli, a poor start, which got poorer last week. We shouldn't forget the Bayern side that outclassed them were not the former winners, rather a set of completly different players who finished well behind Dortmund last year.

Neymar will not go to City he will go to Real probably when Kaka leaves. Having said that he seems the kind of unpleasant player City would sign! Of course City want Van Persie as their whole team build is based on asset striping Arsenal - not sure why the owners didn't just out bid Kroenke.

As for Suarez, well not sure why Real would want him although realise he is good, but not as good as what Real have now, and I think Hazard and Neymar are more likely names. The poster that thinks Suarez will be £65m + is I would imagine an over optimistic Scouser, my guess is £40m maximum, you only have to look at Villa and Fabregas to get the idea that not all clubs are like the silly CITY and will pay silly money in these more economically challenged times. The only fact here is this is all a figment of someones very vivid imagination

Tevez on loan to west ham until January and will then sign for Corinthians in the new year(7)(31)Thank you Roberto ManciniBbc sport says man city rejected the offer straight awayI'm guessing this bloke doesn't understand the concept of a rumour... heads up genius, a rumour is something unconfirmed that you may have heard. A rumour is not a report taken directly from an accredited source, such as the BBC, that you've copied and pasted.

Besides, my Mum's best friend's son's window cleaners dog says that Tevez will go to Corinthians on loan, a try-before-you-buy kinda thing. The team (Corinthians) are currently denying this, but we know better.Ha Ha , nice joke - I suppose London is slightly closer to Argentina, but he is clearly fed up in England so I would say no chance of that happening.

Watford to sign Sligo Rovers F.C. Striker Eoin Doyle. The Top Marksman in the Irish League is on the brink of smashing Sligo Rovers 75 Year Goal Scoring Record. Doyle's strike last week was enough to knock Europa Leagues Shamrock Rovers F.C. out of the FAI Cup.(5)(11)WOW! Really? He must be good. {Ed003's Note - He's been watched by several championship clubs}Sorry guys i know this guy & txt him last night when i seen this post & he knows nothing about it. He said he's heard rumours about teams sniffing around but your clubs not one of themNever he will be playing cl football wit sligo next season why would he go 2 watford

Just been speaking with ex-Swindon Town chairman Andrew Fitton.

He's not happy at Di Canio's appointment, and is worried that if Swindon don't get promoted this season that there could be trouble ahead.

He also is upset that Jeremy Wray marginalised him in the Board Room, but accepts that he should have done more to stop the rot last season.(5)(12)
