"Roy Hodgson will get Carra and Stevie G to stay, probably only for on season though. With Yossi Benayoun gone to Chelsea, Hodgson will look to winger Gervinho, for £7m. Milan Jovanovic a possibility, if not maybe Ilan for a fee of £4m."

1. Carra was never going anywhere. 2. If Gerrard does stay why for 1 season? 3. The money from the Benayoun sale was used to pay off Rafa and the compensation to Fulham for Hodgson.

Bit of Celtic info.. If Maloney can convince Lenny that his long term fitness will be maintained then lenny will sanction the sale of Mcgeady. He knows a bid of 8m is a realistic amount and he will use that money to buy Bellamy. Bellamy will not sign for a penny less than 60k but Hoops only have 40k tops to offer. Celtic hope a slice or all of merchandice may be enough to tempt him back. Also heard Lenny doesn't think Sol will sign so is looking at other options.

Bringing back the thunder

04 Jul 2010 21:42:50
Can someone give me some Celtic news plz?

04 Jul 2010 21:44:39
In responce to If united did sign ozil then he would have to be registered in the 25 man squad i think, as he is the same age as anderson and he has to be registered. It's a little confusing because i read on the premier leaugue web site irrespective of age if you've been with the club 3 years your classed as home grown? so anderson nani hargreaves vds would a qualify could any one clear it up? Also united look like they have 24 first team squad players so there may be room for one more afer the sales of tosic and foster.

the player is classed as home grown if he has bin with the club between the ages of 18–21 or has come through the youth ranks ie pogba will b classed as home grown in 2 seasons hope that explian it eg such players like welbeck and macheda will b classed as home grown

anymore info u need let me know

Steven Taylor and Andy Carroll will both be STAYING at Newcastle.

Some Newcastle targets:

Peter Whittingham
Curtis Davies
Nicky Maynard (Ranger or Donaldson going on loan)
Danny Rose (loan deal)
Lee Naylor
Kyle Lafferty
Tom Cleverley

Also I have it from a good source that Hughton is trying to pull a loan deal off for Toni Kroos.

Outs:

Shola Ameobi (Leeds interested)
Leon Best (Cov, Leeds or Forest)
Ranger & Donaldson (possible loans)
Forster will return to Norwich

04 Jul 2010 21:50:51
In:
Jamie O'Hara £4m
Nedum Onouha only if barton leaves £3m
Toni Kroos On a season long loan
Bakari Kone £1m
Ariel Garce £1m
Bobby Zamora £6m
Marc Wilson £1m

Out:
Jonas Gutierrez £8m to lazio
joey barton £5m to stoke city
donaldson and nile ranger on loan
Leon best £500k
shola ameobi £2m

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Onouha never said that he said he was sad to see joey leave city.

Onouha, O' Hara, Garce and Kone would be good signings, Why would we want zamora a left footed target man when Carroll has agreed a new deal, Wilson i doubt as we would already be signing 2 right sided defenders if these came off.

Why would Gutierrez and Barton leave after both have commited there future to the club and Hughton wouldn't sell Shola, Best should be released on a free so he and us can move on..

"Liverpool will sign James Milner if Gerrard leaves or not; if he does than Ashley Young will also sign"

Sorry, don't have the money. Liverpool won't sign either. O'Neill wants to strengthen the club, not weaken it to strengthen the teams closest to us. Milner is a possibility seeing he really loves Liverpool, but Young has never said he wants to leave. O'Neill rates Young too highly, and will cost as much as Milner which is about 30m.

04 Jul 2010 21:13:00
Is there anything in the milner + young deal to Liverpool where are they all comin from personally can't see much change at the club def no 30 million deals any how wat do people think and where are the sources?

Aberdeen news

I have just been to Dyce Airport picking up my parents off the flight from Luton which landed at 20.19(no EZY145) and who should come through arrivals Christian Dailly. Tried to have a quick word with him but officials from club took him away rather sharpish like.

stand free

04 Jul 2010 20:50:21
All these rumours about Ashley Young going to Liverpool do have some substance. Normally i don't believe half the things that get touted on forums but this rumour has a lot of truth in it. Ashley Young is definitely coveted by Roy Hodgson, the stumbling block is Aston Villa's transfer price, £20m is the fee but Liverpool haven't got the funds outright. Ryan Babel is to be used as part of the deal with a payment of around £10m – £12m, making the whole package worth £20m. Nothing will be done though until Holland end their World Cup campaign next week as Babel is obviously still away on International duty. But this transfer has a huge chance of going through. (And don't laugh) But a friend of mine saw Ashley Young in Nando's restaurant in Liverpool One on Saturday mid afternoon, make of this what you want, maybe its just a coincidence he was in the Merseyside area but rumours of a transfer will obviously intensify after he's been spotted aswell.

04 Jul 2010 20:50:24
ED any news on rangers? even ur opinions or a sum up of of the rumours? {editor's note – I am trying to put together a page for summing up the rumours. It is not as easy as I thought it would be, just doing the PFA transfer list is taking some time.}

Leeds united after forward morrison from milwall!

04 Jul 2010 20:52:31
Any Charlton rumours? getting rid of so many players we must be replacing them with someone..

04 Jul 2010 20:55:16
Chelsea may be willing to sell Lampard. As silly as this sounds if Real Madrid come to the table with £25–30m for a player the wrong side of 30 the head must rule the heart and maybe we should cash in. It would cost a fortune to replace a midfielder who scores 20plus goals each season but we have to start looking long term. I, m not interested in signing players like Kaka whose star is on the wane. If we are going to spend big then let it be on players such as Ozil, Schweinsteiger and Suarez who could provide the nucleus to build a team around in the coming years. Another must is to do what Real Madrid and Barcelona do and give 5 year contracts to the best players they invest in to provide some stability. The spine of the team is in place with some top youngsters coming through but players such as Lampard, Anelka, Carvalho and even Drogba only have two more years at best to offer the club. It is imperative we get this summer's recruitment RIGHT.

LOOK MATE, NO ONE IS DUMB ENOUGH TO PAY 25–30M FOR A 32 YEAR OLD, LAMPARD HAS ONE POSSIBLY TWO SEASONS LEFT IN FOOTBALL, HE IS NOT A NATURALLY FIT GUY, HE HAS TO WORK HARD ON HIS FITNESS SO I WOULD EXPECT INJURIES TO HIT HIM SOONER RATHER THAN LATER. CARVALHO WILL STAY AND FIGHT IT OUT WITH ALEX FOR THE SPOT NEXT TO TERRY. SCHWEINSTEIGER WOULD NEVER LEAVE BAYERN FOR CHELSEA, WHY WOULD HE? THEY CAN OFFER HIM EVERYTHING CHELSEA COULD AND BAYERN ARE A MUCH MUCH BIGGER CLUB. BESIDES HE IS ON PAR WITH KAKA AND IT WOULD TAKE A BID OF OVER 40M FOR BAYERN TO EVEN CONSIDER IT.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ED, DO YOU THINK MATEY IS CLUTCHING AT STRAWS? I CANNOT SEE BASTIAN EVEN CONSIDERING CHELSEA CAN YOU? {editor's note – the days of Chelsea offering huge wages to foreign superstars have gone. They are trying to cut the wage bill down so it is very unlikely they will move for Schweinsteiger.}

The Times posted today that Birmingham City are considering bidding for Katlego Mphela. It's probably just paper talk but the Blues need a striker, so you never know. Does anyone or the editor have any more news on this or any other strike targets? Thank you,
Terry

04 Jul 2010 21:03:57
Any real rumours for spl? whats this about boyd ffs and im celtic, can't believe it!. someone tell me caldwell rumour is bull please. Daviebhoy you still on this site? Im not fussed about bullard to be honest, big wages for a mediocre player, when hes fit hes good, also maloney is he staying at parkhead? hes fit now so don't see them selling him especially without any real midfielder being signed and with aiden to go by all accounts we could be pretty sparse in midfield, everything quiet on the signing for a striker? any news daviebhoy?, any new names being mentioned? id appreciate any info you have , cheers mate johnny

Gareth Bale is being looked at by Real madrid and Barcelona.

04 Jul 2010 20:38:10
Im a big fan of this website & i know this sites all about gossip but some of the people on this site write complete rubbish which they imagine in their own fantasy head, i find it quite funny prior to the world cup Gourcuff was wanted by arsenal according to some adamant fans now its ozil cause he is having an outstanding tournement, chelski fans were linking the club to pato, Luiz, now its sweinstieger(spelling) suarez & ozil & man city are wanting every fker that plays football, people what im trying to say is there are people out there that would like to hear genuine rumours not stuff that you fantasize about in your head.

04 Jul 2010 20:38:20

Liverpool News

Roy Hodgson will get Carra and Stevie G to stay, probably only for on season though. With Yossi Benayoun gone to Chelsea, Hodgson will look to winger Gervinho, for £7m. Milan Jovanovic a possibility, if not maybe Ilan for a fee of £4m.

MILAN JOVANOVIC HAS ALREADY SIGNED, JUST WAITING FOR WORK PERMIT – HARDLY BREAKING NEWS.

CARRA NOT GOT MANY YEARS LEFT IN HIM ANYWAY BEFORE HE TURNS TO COACHING – LIKELY TO BE WITH LFC.

IF STEVIE STAYS ONE MORE YEAR THEN HE'S HERE FOR LIFE DUE TO HIS AGE. IF HE WANTS A MOVE ABROAD IT'S NOW OF NEVER.

04 Jul 2010 20:42:35
Leeds United will sign 21–year old Reading striker Simon Church on a 4–year deal

04 Jul 2010 20:42:52
All rumours about Kjaer can now stop, he's signing for Wolfsburg for around £10m.

Raul is signing for Shalke so no chance of him coming to the UK now.

Not sure what else is imminent, hopefully something exciting!

PS, Ed, who actually are you? I don't know much about the past of this site. How are you connected to any sources? What do you do? {editor's note – who am I? I am the guy who created the site, and have been running it for nearly 9 years now. My sources are something I would prefer not to talk about on here, I have told a few of the regulars that post on here though.}

Arsenal will sign Marchetti to replace almunia and fabianski will also leave Mannone will be Arsenal's number 2 and Szczesny will go on loan but will have a clause that will allow him to come back to arsenal if either Marchetti or Mannone get injured.

04 Jul 2010 20:18:06
Newcastle have offered 3.5 million plus Shola Ameobi for Bristol City's Nicky Maynard. Bristol are holding out for the equivalent cash sum as they already have strikers Andy Keogh and an unamed Manchester United loanee lined up as replacements.

04 Jul 2010 20:21:54
If united did sign ozil then he would have to be registered in the 25 man squad i think, as he is the same age as anderson and he has to be registered. > To be classed as Homegrown you have to be at a club in either England or Wales for a minimum of three years between the ages of 15–21, Hargreaves is not homegrown even though he plays for our national team, strange i know! neither Anderson or Nani are homegrown. VDS is certainly not! Rafael, Fabio, Macheda (In Sept) are all Homegrown because they have been at United or under contract at United for three years between the ages of 16–21. J.Evans, Gibson, Fletcher, O'Shea are all homegrown and obviously all the English players. I hope i could help?

04 Jul 2010 20:28:21
Jay Simpson is in talks with Burnley after they had a bid of £1.4m accepted by Arsenal for him.

Fraser Forster is due to arrive on loan within the week, and Peter Whittingham is still in Brian Laws sights despite signing Ross Wallace. Whittingham wants to go to Burnley and they are preparing a fresh £2.5m bid for the wideman.

Jack Cork is also still a Burnley target, on loan or permanent.

04 Jul 2010 20:28:52
To the person who said Newcastle will get zamora for £6m. If birmingham can't get him for that price, how do you expect to get him for that? Anyway the Sunday times reported that birmingham will make a bid for mphela, anyone or the editor have any news / thoughts on this??

Jedinak,
Healy (maybe could not too sure)
Calum Davenport (could just be a rumour)
Bullard (apparently we might nick him off celtic, doubt it)
obertan on loan (i know fergie said no but walter is trying to talk him into it)

these are the latest names but im sure the editor will have many more names ed any idea?

MLG {editor's note – I don't right now as I have been a bit out of circulation this weekend sorting out the house. I haven't had time to chase up anything new.}

The youth players Wenger will sign are:
Erikson (He will have a year on loan to gain experience)
Hazard (He will stay at Lille for 2 years on loan)
Assulin (He will be on loan for a year before entering the country, finalising a work permit will be hard at this stage)
Plus some unknown players

Posabilities:
Lukaku (He will stay at Anderlecht on loan untill his family feel he is ready to step up a level)
Traore (He will spend a season on loan because a work permit will be imposible due to him not playing in an international game next)
Ananidze (If he signs he will probably play a year in the reserves and then go on loan)

04 Jul 2010 20:12:17

To the guy who said he thinks he saw Peter Whittingham at the city ground yesterday. I am so glad that you said that because I was driving into city ground yesterday to go to the sale and I saw a black mercedes with a personal number plate leaving the ground – the number plate had some numbers followed by PW. I jokingly said to my sons that I bet it was Peter Whittingham – looks like it was – very interesting !!

04 Jul 2010 19:45:35
Arsenal will sign 3 first team attacking options:
Loic Remy will sign as a replacement for Eduardo because Van Persie's fitness is un reliable.
Joe Cole will sign purely because he is free and will add experience to the team. He still has a lot to offer and suits arsenal's style of football.
Ozil will replace Fabregas whether he leaves this season or next. Fabregas is going to leave eventually and Ozil will be the best replacement. Although he is more expensive than Wenger would like he is still affordable.

04 Jul 2010 19:49:52
Van Der Weil will sign for Arsenal if Sagna goes.

alot of clubs are interested in taking steven harper arsenal for one celtic are another and a few others have made inquiries after an excellent season i don't expect him to leave after waiting 16 years for the number one shirt after been the understudy of shay given if he does leave the only keeper in the frame at the minute is joe hart either on loan or to buy him

seriously are you nuts. firstly skrtel is alot better than steven taylor(he makes more mistakes than you can count). no chance of a swap if he decided he was to leave it would be inter or juve. and kalou goin in a deal is an even more stupid rumour.

anyway true rumours:

bridge to liverpool 6–6.5 mil
gyan to liverpool 7.5

aguero to chelsea 35mil
stop the rumours of him to lfc. id love it but no gonna spend all our budget on 1 player when we have at least 3 areas in need of improvement. anyone disagree please respond

Ilan's on a free. Gervinho is about 10–12m because of his age and Lille doesn't have to sell. Jovanovic basically signed already.

Arsenal defensive signings:
Koscielny almost done
Subotic wenger likes him and he is affordable because if he comes it is likely to be part of a swap deal with Rosicky.
Ranocchia Wenger was watching him before the january transfer window but no bid for him was made because he was injured for the second half of the season but he is still affordable.
Sakho/Vertonghen could come in to play defensive midfield and supply cover for the centre backs because they are centre backs that can play centre mid and will probably end up there where ever they end up. Wenger admires both. Sakho or Vertonghen will sign but not both unless song leaves which i can't see happening. Although i would rather have Sakho or Vertonghen. Both might sign if Djourou doesn't fully recover from his injury or leaves. Nordtveit will have a season on loan in the premier league and Wenger will decide on him.

If Paul Hartley wants to come back to Scotland Celtic should arrange a deal with a youngster going to Bristol for a long term loan.

Why the hell would Bristol City want a youngster from Celtic on loan and lose a player like Hartley ? Very odd.

Roy Hodgson has a £15m transfer budget + any money made from player sales – except the £5mil or so made on benayoun, this has been used to pay Fulham compo for getting Roy and to pay Rafa off. but any other player sales will be added onto the kitty.
it would be good to see Ashley Young sign for Liverpool if all these rumours are true, but would like to see Liverpool bid for Shaun Wright–Phillips, he is the type of player we need, a pacey winger that can score and create goals, Milner is City bound so SWP will be out of favour Liverpool should snap him up because he is likely to be cheaper than what city bought him back for.
also would like to see Roy go and raid fulham and take Zamora and Hangeland. why would we want Danny Murphy back??
would be good if Joe Cole could be snapped up on a Free as well – this way we would satisfy the new Uefa quota for home grown players and it wouldn't cost all that much if he sells Kuyt, Lucas, Skrtel, Degen, Reira and Babel if necessary would like to see him have a good run of games played in the correct position to see if he can prove himself under a different manager?
just possibilities and hopefullness!

I was at the city ground earlier today for the clearance sale, i went to the old club shop thinking it was there and then i turned round in the Main stand carpark. as i did i saw wilson get into his car and drive off so i decided to wait around. I saw the goalkeeper coach, paul smith, kelvin wilson and anderson in total i also saw someone who i didn't recognise but after looking at photos on the intenet

it appears to be wittingham.

Kelvin wilson and paul smith drive black audi 4x4s
anderson drives a white audi quatro

What car was Whittingham driving!! Doubt the players would have been around on a Sat morning – and why would they be at the City Ground when the training ground is down the road – unless they wanted to buy old stock from the shop in the sale!

I hope you're right as he'd be a good signing!

Rumours on clubs–
Arsenal– Riccardo Montolivio
Birmingham– Aiden Mcgeady
Blackburn– Dave Nugent/ Tommy Smith (Ipswich and New Zealand Defender) James Beattie
Blackpool– Phil Bardsley/ Nicky Butt out Burgess Notts County
Burnley– Signed Ross Wallace
Chelsea–Torres or Augero/Ramires
Fulham–New Manager– Bob Bradley/Alan Curbishley/Sven or Hughes
Middlesborough–Kris Boyd signed
Tottenham–New shirt sponsor will be looked at to be combined with new stadium naming rights. Another thing i read Daniel Levy saying is he looking at getting different sponsors in 1. for prem league, 1. for FA.Cup and 1. for Champs league very intersting strategy 3 different shirt sponsors for 3 different competitions could that be the way forward great idea i think.
West Ham– Sidwell

Plymouth fan here, to the other deluded argyle fan, we won't sign Kakuta, Ranger, and probably koumas, i say probably because peter reid might know him from koumas's tranmere days, but still unlikely, get realistic mate you don't convince anyone, and make us look foolish. Plymouth will sign 3 players max, with one a good name by all accounts, but don't expect ronaldo. Plus the lads name is bhasera, and he was a free agent he never signed for pompey, plus paterson was Glentoran not some irish team. Although i do agree about Ryan Harley joining he can double his wages and play for a bigger club so yeah.

it is Bhasura and we signed him in January from Portsmouth and Ranger and Koumas have been linked with us. sorry mate

I'd like to post a question to the Editor,

What is the figure of Manchester United'd debt since I kid you not a month ago it stood at 1.1 – 1.2 Billion. Now it supposedly stands at a little over 500Mil which I beileve is completly false. Can you please share some light?

Also,
Arsenal to sign Kosciely, Fabregas may leave
Chelsea to sign Neymar, Deco to Leave
Liverpool to sign Honda, Mascherano to Leave
Man U to sign Sanchez, Anderson to Leave {editor's note – I don't believe United's debt has ever been 1.1billion, are you sure you are not mixing the club's debt up with the Glazer's personal debt, which does stand at 1.1billion?}

Ive just heard from a very respected gentleman who has run amateur football teams in liverpool for the last 35 years and who is respected that much across merseyside and indeed gets all of his kits and training equipment paid for buy lfc that a deal to buy liverpool has been struck and it will be anounced shortly after world cup.he also informed me that liverpool have bid for milner and young and if price is right for villa they can leave.he thinks somewhere in region of 35–40 million plus player should be enough.gerrard will not leave and torres will give it another year to see how roy works .the squad are happy about his appointment.he also said that benitez had to go because he was damaging players confidence.make of it what you may .but this gent is very much thought of by not only lfc but the blues too also respect him for what hes done for amateur football so personally have no reason to doubt him.

Things at Man Utd are looking at bit bleak and the tension is rising Fergie desperately wants and needs to strengthen. He has asked for funds but the owners are having none of it and keep telling him to spend first and keep reminding him he ain't the manager of Man City and unlike them they are broke. However there is an option and that is to contact the bigger clubs i.e Barca, Real and Milan and tell them that Rooney is available for the right price. The player himself has expressed that maybe his playing days at Utd are getting a bit boring now and the fact he is playing with a load of old men and the fact there is no money and no players coming in he is now up for a move. This has got Fergie bricking it and has told the player to take a longer holiday to have a good think about it but has got the yanks rubbing there hands thinking about another £70m coming off the debt. The yanks will be desperate to sell in the next few weeks because they don't want to risk Rooney playing with his head down and putting in some crap displays and making his price tag decrease. Expect Rooney to go this summer for £70m or next for £45/50m the yank will cash in making all hell break loose at Utd Players, Fans and Managerial staff all to revolt.

This sounds like a load of rubbish to me, you sound like a Man City fan. If saf has no funds how was it 30m bid was put in for David Villa?? You also said when he asked for funds they told him to spend first?? Ive heard United are going to bid for Ozil. Whats your view on all of this ed? {editor's note – I think there is money there to spend, just not ridiculous amounts.}

To the one who said this :– "To the Man United fans talking about signing Fabiano for £20 million, Dzeko for £35 million, Sanchez for £20 million, what part of beng £800 million in debt don't you understand??"

The 290.5mil which you have added on to the 509.5mil which is the united debt! That's what we don't understand! Please justify that figure will you.

BBC website says last accounts has debt figure as £716m

Glazers total debt (including many loss making malls) £1.1 bn

You know we don't have donkeys running this club. we have randy lerner and oneill. milner will go to city for around 30 million and if we sell young he will be at least 20 million. we could 50 million from those two so why would we sell for 35 . THINK !

someone posted on here the other day that real madrid were set for a 50 million pound bid for masch and gerrard so i doubt young and milner are the equivilent of them 2

.

OK, lets just be clear.Getting pretty tired of the bull written on here and in certain sections of the media. correct no bids have been received for LFC yet. But that's because of the way the "auction" is been held. There are more than one interested party. Bids will be made. The sale will happen. The chairman clearly explained what is happening, but the truth does not fit certain peoples agenda.

The perceived chip on Liverpool's shoulder regarding the media is in fact a just reaction to many years of media bias towards the London clubs and Manure. Ferguson's tactics against anyone in either the local or national media who dares to step out of line is well documented, if you care to look.

Likewise the almost gleeful nature of the reporting of LFC's troubles is unedifying in the extreme. Therefore to quote an old Public Enemy classic "don't believe the hype!"

Yes we have problems, but they are not as bad as some people wish you to believe. if Torres , Gerrard or anyone wishes to leave then so be it. Big names have left before and will do again. LFC will go on and players of stature WILL arrive, one bad season will not stop this, if we fail again next time then maybe it will change, but don't bank on it.

Djmi

To those Celtic fans and you ed for belittling my post on Bullard. You obviously cannot read what is being said. 1 – source not Bullards agent I said Bullards agents brother. 2 – obviously both teams come from Glasgow players don't stay at the ground. Provided houses are usually away from the area of the stadium and this was his point.Celtic and Rangers players usually don't have club houses in Glasgow itself. 3 – I did say the talking to Rangers sounded sus, this my Celtic pals stands for suspicious, ie I was only reporting what I was told not claiming it to be factually accurate and 4 the page is called banter – since when does banter have to be 100% accurate. You Celtic fans really get wound up on the silliest things. YorkieLad

If united did sign ozil then he would have to be registered in the 25 man squad i think, as he is the same age as anderson and he has to be registered.

Source – newsnow wolves

Editor, who do you think he wilL go to and you got any wolves rumours?

Jtb {editor's note – I have to be honest and say I don't really know for sure, he is close friends with Cashley Cole, so maybe a return to London would be a draw for him. If you are a Wolves fan you should be hoping it is not Wolves that he goes to, he has ability but his head is so far up his own backside that it is going to waste. His attitude off the pitch also leaves a lot to be desired, he is an extremely disruptive influence in the dressing room.}

Notts County News

Leeds United Striker Davide Somma has emerged a transfer target for the League One new boys. The 25 year old is attracting intrest from the Meadow Lane club after a successful loan spell at League Two Lincoln City. Somma scored 9 goals in 14 apperances last season for the Imps and Imps boss Chris Sutton is also interested in landing Somma on a permanent basis. Somma's contract was due to end this summer but after is successful loan spell at Sincil Bank persuaded United to take up the option of extending the deal for another 12 months. Boss Simon Grayson has vowed that Somma would be given a fair chance to impress him during United's pre–season campaign but has already recruitted one striker in Billy Paynter and is planning to secure another before Leeds' opening game in the Championship against Derby on August 7. The Elland Road Club may be willing to listen to offers for Somma, and Sutton said: "Would we like him back? You don't need a genius to work that out."

Have it on good authority that Ashley Young and James Milner has formally ask Martin O'neil for bid from liverpool to be accepted as long as it is good for villa, sources arent scarce on this one so don't buy into it as much as everyone and the sun has, but this is a great step forward for liverpool if its pulled off, Roy seems to have sorted the 'winger problems' in one deal. But like i said this is probably a half truth.

WEST HAM NEWS

West Ham (along with Wolve and Wigan) have been offered the chance to sign Jermain Pennant for a sum of £2million!! A chance worth taking in my opinion. Pennant seems as though he would prefer a move to the capital. West Ham may be able to re–ignite his career and could also be seen as a replacement for Behrami if he moves to Roma.

Also, West Ham have made an £11.1million pound offer for Lolic Remy.

Steve Sidwell looks like he may be off to West Ham instead of a move to Fulham due to the managerial status of Fulham.

Sunderland have put in a £7million bid for Matthew Upson, West Ham have not responded to thi bid. (Personally I would accept it if they also added Ferdinand in the deal)

West Ham are also looking to buy Barrera (Mexican Player) as he had a world cup. Im not so sure as he will cost around £4million and because he had a good world cup doesn't mean he will have a good season.

Villa still want to buy Scott Parker but he and West ham are ADIMANT that he WILL NOT LEAVE the club any time soon.

Coles (West Hams new goalkeeper coach) is keen to work with the keepers at West Ham, could this be a sign that Rob Green is staying put??

Anyone confirm that Joe Cole has signed for Spurs ? Very strong rumours that he's signed.

04 Jul 2010 15:49:18
I have it on good report that Wenger is in a huff that the transfer of mark schwarzer will be stalled, or break through due to the manager vacancy of Fulham, and that Arsenal will, unfortunately, be bidding for Babel as the winger/striker/bench–warmer has fallen down the pecking order at Liverpool, lastly Arsenal have made an enquiry for centre back per Mertesacker. From my view, this will not happen due to bigger financially able clubs being interested

yours sincerely,
Red Elf

MAN CITY's goalkeeper JOE HART is on the brink of signing for either CHELSEA or LIVERPOOL

Liverpool have the number 1 goal keeper in the world, Jose Reina, therefore this is completely fabricated.

Leeds will sign 3 more players before the season starts and possibly a few loan deals, Ken bates won't want to spend money however will most likely purchase 1 signing and get the other two on frees. The positions Grayson strengthening is CB, CM and striker as he has already strengthened the full backs, keeper and signed a striker.
The CB that he will purchase will be:
Jay Demerit (as he is on a free)
or Collins as he has declared he wants to go to Leeds
The CM will be:
Doyle as he wants to go to leeds after his season long loan
However they will only sign Doyle if they can't get Koren or as he is better and on a free
The striker will be where Bates will spend his money, it will be:
Gary Hooper, very likely because middelsborough have captured Boyd so they arent pursuing Hooper anymore, and Celtic arent intrested anymore, so it leaves Leeds to decide whether they can afford to pay for him, and if they don't it will be either Billy Sharpp however more likely to go to Burnley or Ishmael Miller from West Brom, one signing will be made before saturday if not more.

Free agent Lee Trundle is believed to be attracting the interest of Watford, Charlton and Yeovil aswell as a couple other un–named Championship and League one teams.

Yeovil have already put an offer in but it is thought that Trundle is waiting for Watford or any other Championship team to put an offer in as he wants to stay in the Championship.

Leeds are to make a shock signjng this week with a 7 figure bid been accepted by Nottingham Forrest for center forward Dexter Blackstock. Blackstock currently has 3 years remaining on his contract, reasons for Forrest willing to sell are unknown.

WHATS UR SOURCE MATE

Dream on. A) Forest wouldn't sell B) Leeds don't have any money C) Dexter loves it here
In other news, dierby to loan 1 more player because they're skint and Leeds to sign.noone!! :–) (But that won't stop every player under the sun from being linked with them.by leeds fans obviously)

SHUT UP , WE HAVE ALOT MORE MONEY THAN YOU, YOU WONT SIGN ANYONE (POOR) SO DREAM ON, WAYY ABOUT THE PLAY OFFS YOU DIDNT DERSERVE TO GO UP, PREMIERSHIP YOUR HAVING A LAUGH! PREMIERSHIP YOUR HAVING A LAUGH !!

The guy is right, Leeds don't have that sort of money and can't compete with half of the championship in that respect. Boro have just signed Kris Boyd on 25k per week for instance and Forest pay very good money as well. Leeds have signed a league two player, a league one player, and a player surplus to requirement from Derby – all free or at most "nominal" and that is their level at the moment. Bottom 8 finish for Leeds and I'm sure the club would take that now. Next season..who knows ?

To the guy who said cardiff are going down under. I don't think so pal. If we were going down under, why would we be looking to bring in big name players such as bellamy, giggs and co. We cancelled our malaysian tour till next year cz our owner that it would be better to get some pre–season games in first. And theres no chance were going under, cz our owners are loaded. So check your sources again mate

You aint looking to bring in big names mate – that's just a bit of fun on here and a bit of bravado from your CEO. The tour was cancelled because the club can't afford it and the so–called tour to Portugal will also be called off. Your players wages have been late for the last 5 months on the trot and you have no rich owners – you have some rich people who have 36% of the club, not owners. The paltry 6m they put in is gone. The club is skint, if you want to ignore it that's up to you. The info I posted is 100% accurate.

Actually cardiffs owners do have money and have assured fans there is no major financial problem any more also the tour to malaysia hasnt been cancelled it has been postponed until next season and the players have been paid the past three months so what you posted isn't 100% true at all just jealousy because you probably support some crap team

So the fact that Cardiff are due back in court for another winding up order on 11th August is bullst is it ? Easily checked out if you care to take the time. The sharks are circling.

Well would you care to share your source as i have found nothing about a winding up order for this year in august on past years and other months

On skysports it sCardiff could face another battle in the High Court over an £1.3million tax bill.

The Bluebirds had confirmed in June the winding–up petition against the club had been officially withdrawn following a High Court hearing.

But a report in the News of the World suggests they could yet go into administration if they fail to prove they can settle a £1.3m tax bill.

Dave Jones' club reportedly now face another winding–up order in the High Court on 11th August.

Cardiff's chief executive Gethin Jenkins told the News of the World: "HMRC has launched a petition in the event we don't pay the PAYE bill.

"We are confident of settling it in the next couple of days."

However from other sites it looks like the Malaysian £6M & more has gone, is someone leaving I wonder!!?

Liverpool News

Roy Hodgson will get Carra and Stevie G to stay, probably only for on season though. With Yossi Benayoun gone to Chelsea, Hodgson will look to winger Gervinho, for £7m. Milan Jovanovic a possibility, if not maybe Ilan for a fee of £4m.

mcginn, mccourt? both are not celtic class and in my opinion McCourt is overated among celtic fans and there is a good chance that he will not start many games due to his lack of fitness. i would expect him to come off the bench more often than not. ?––– McGinn STARTED QUITE A FEW GAMES LAST SEASON AND WITH McGeady LEAVING I DONT SEE WHY HE WONT MAKE THE STEP UP CUS LENNON RATES HIM HIGHLY. Ive just been told that Wayne Bridge has been seen at Anfield. Did anyone else see him or hear of this?

Personally I feel this would be a great swoop. Someone who Insua could learn from. Also English, and EPL experience. I would think a price of 5–6mill would be enough for the 29 year old.
i feel Liverpool are in the market for a left back because Dossena and Aurelio has left.

YorkieLad

If Jimmy hasn't got an agent, there can't possibly be a brother of that non existent agent either, can there ?

Jimmy hadn't even been to Glasgow when you posted, he's on holiday in Val do lobo, he's due up next week and I'm no Celtic fan, though I am someone who knows Jimmy and your post remains utter rubbish.

Everton won't sell dan gosling to newcastle, why he is still maturing which moyes loves, he could go on loan though when you look at evertons midfield currently, goslings development would flourish at newcastle on loan. geordies what do you think on aaron speare, you signed him from plymouth has he come on, hes a complete hothead saw him sent off for plymouth schools, would a seasons loan back to argyle be a good move. Plus arsenal, chelsea, liverpool, and apparently Barcelona scouts watching plymouths next crop of youngsters, argyle currently have some of the top youth players around. My guess is to watch ipswichs academy flourish hugely as they have just appointed mike pejic plymouths ex youth boss, a very shrewd operator.

My source inside Liverpool fc has informed me that mascherano has been sold for a fee of around 22M + add ons over the next two years. This increases hodgsons transfer budget to 35M. Yossi has already gone and degen is also close to leaving for a german club for a small fee(2.5–3M), plessis cavalieri and other such reserves are all leaving for around the same fee as degen.skertl is also thinking about leaving for Italy (rafa might want him? Thoughts ed)

Hodgson has convinced Gerrard and Carrager to stay but has yet to talk to torres. My source believes that Roy will talk to torres when he has returned from his holiday after the world cup.

Hodgson has drafted up a rough drat of his transfer targets and how much of his budget he will spend on them. The stand out names are:
Barry(10–12M) replacement for mascherano
cahill(8–10M) possible replacement for skrtel
Honda(6–8M+riera/10–12M)
gervinho(5–6M)
gyan(6–8M) both are possible back up to Torres
toulalan(12–15M) unlikely because of no CL
joe Cole(free) first choice RM but has lots of offers from other clubs and is an unlikely target
taiwo(6–8M) unlikely to be signed for that fee in my opinion
VDV(10–12M) wants CL football so unlikely
joe ledly(free) back up to the midfield but there are better options
turan (10–12M) Roy is worried he may not adapt to English football and doesn't want a massive flop
Ashley young(15–20M) very exspensive and babel may be used in some sort of player+cash deal
Milner(25–30M) only if torres leaves
aguero(35–40M) replacement for torres if he was to leave

NOT ALL OF THESE WILL HAPPEN

YNWA

Gyan(6–8M)
Cahill(8–10M)

An update from my posts on Friday.

If anyone is doubting my sources all I can say is that I work in catering at a facility used frequently by LUFC staff.

Hooper: Talks are ongoing over his move, but have been suspended for the weekend. No further details on this one.

Akinfenwa: Expected to travel to Leeds this Tuesday to look around the facilities and have a brief meet and greet.

Apparently the Brazilian trialists have been a disappointment. Although they are scheduled to have two further sessions next week.

Sheffield Wednesday may sign Steven Maclean if Plymouth get rid of him, though they are still looking at Shaun Harrad, Greg Pearson, Pabs Counago and Abebayo Akinfenwa. I also hear that they are after a left–sided midfielder, with Doncaster's Martin Woods apparently linked. Alan Irvine has said he wants Youl Mawene from Preston, though he may be out of our price–range.

Wednesday line–up to face Dagenham on August 7th:

Lee Grant

Jon Otsemobor
Darren Purse
Mark Beevers (Youl Mawene if he signs)
Tommy Spurr

Chris Sedgwick
James O'Connor
Giles Coke
Tommy Miller

Paul Heffernan
Neil Mellor

Wednesday have quality like Gary Teale, Darren Potter, Marcus Tudgay, Jermaine Johnson and youngster Liam Palmer is set to have a run in the team this season.

Please justify that figure will you, becase this is the 18th time i'm stating the united debt figure on this site. Also the debt has remained pretty much the same for the 6 years under the glazers hasn't it? In fact it has reduced by 30mil. But still united have spent, 54mil , 30.75mil and combined 40mil in the last 3 years! So get on with it having debt doesn't mean united cannot buy. Although i agree with you that united won't sign sanchez(a winger, united already has 2 great wingers with decent backup) Dzeko(Never was and never will be a united target) and fabiano(he hasn't done anything significant to command that price at this age). SAF is only in the market for a playmaker. He did bid for david villa 30mil but he went to barcelona as he did not want to switch countries. So united do have money. Tell those hate united, united skint stories to your fellow united haters who have been saying these things for the last 6 years now but united has got stronger and better while your whinging and moaning looking increasingly desperate.

Roy Hodgson will target four British players to fulfil the quota in the new FA rules of having eight home grown players within a Premier League squad. He will add Joe Cole, Danny Murphy, James Milner and Gary Cahill whilst he is also hoping to pursue deals for Philip Lahm, Rafael Van Der Vaart and a striker with these to be funded by sales of Javier Mascherano, Ryan Babel, Albert Riera in addition to the money gained from the Benayoun transfer and the £15 million transfer kitty.
=v1=

Why would Hodgson sign Lahm when he already has an amazing right back. If Lahm goes anywhere it will be City or Madrid. Milner and Cahil are both staying and Cole will go to Tottenham mate :L get it right

My source originally came from within the club, but it's now in the media with Gethin Jenkins quoted yesterday "HMRC has launched a petition in the event we don't pay the PAYE bill. We are confident of settling it in the next couple of days." The exact amount is £1, 331, 072p. But that's the least of their worries.

""To the Man United fans talking about signing Fabiano for £20 million, Dzeko for £35 million, Sanchez for £20 million, what part of beng £800 million in debt don't you understand??""

UNITED ARE 520.9M IN DEBT AND HAVE BEEN IN DEBT FOR THE PAST SIX YEARS, IT STILL HAS NOT STOPPED FERGIE BUYING HARGREAVES, CARRICK, BERBATOV, VIDIC, EVRA, NANI, ANDERSON, PARK, SMALLING, HERNANDEZ, DIOUF, OBERTAN AND VALENCIA HAS IT?

I COMPLETELY AGREE UNITED WILL NOT BUY FABIANO, SIMPLY BECAUSE HE IS TOO OLD AND FERGIE IS NOT ALLOWED TO SPEND TOP DOLLAR ON PLAYERS OVER 27 AS THERE IS NO SELL ON VALUE. DZEKO IS WORTH 15M AT THE MOST, HE IS REALLY LAME AND SANCHEZ IS A POSSIBILITY BUT FOR LESS THAN 20M, HE WAS GOOD IN THE WORLD CUP BUT REAL MADRID HAVE BOUGHT THEIR WINGER (DI MARIA) AND BARCA HAVE (MATA) SO APART FROM THE ITALIAN TEAMS UNITED HAVE A CLEAR OPPORTUNITY TO GRAB HIM FOR A GOOD PRICE, BARE IN MIND REAL MADRID ONLY PAID 20M FOR DI MARIA SO HE WILL NOT SELL FOR MORE THAN THAT, ALTHOUGH HE MAY REACH 20M IN ADD ONS & INSTALLMENTS AND THAT WOULD APPEAL TO UNITED.

LFC NEWS

Hodgson to sell Mascha to Barca for 25 million, he will let Reira, Lucas, Soritis kyriakos and Kuyt go. this will generate around 50 million plus 15 – 20 already set aside for transfers.

Hodgson wants to make shrewd buys so expect alot of premiership proven players being bought.

I have been told his first attention is the midfield with a move for Milner and Young. There has been talk of Babel being used in the bid.

Also a bid for G. Silva and also D. Murphy. Before people say he said that he wouldn't raid Fulham, he won't be!! it's one player.

Hodgson is also interested in J.Cole and contact is underway to get him to Anfield. He is also looking to bring in G.Cahill and S.Warnock.

Stevie Shank

dont think you have the money for milner and young?? besides his sister (young) seems sure he won't go further north and if anything a move back home would be on the cards!!

and as for contact with joe cole? there is a massive rumour going round this sunday morning that cole has signed for spurs?? this from a normally reliable sauce!!

Man United News.

In two weeks SSr Lex wll bid £20m for Ozil. They have been scouting him for some time and see him as an ideal Scholes replacement. He didn't intend to bid until next year but world cup interest has changed that. He also knows he can play as an unregistered player this season as he isn't 22 until October, hence it solves the problem of already having 25 players over the age of 21 to register.

The only other bit of business may be Benzema if they get any serious interest in Berbatov

Pratley still on hold whilst Swansea find a replacement.
Austin and Rindaroy expected to sign in the next few days.

The £5.75m from the Yossi Benayoun deal to Chelsea is included in the £15m budget Roy Hodsgon has to spend at present. Roy wants one of James Milner or Ashley Young, Young would be the cheaper option at around £15m, whereas Milner would cost in the region of £25m. Martin Skrtel is interesting Lyon and Juventus, and would command around £12m after decent performance at World Cup. As a replacement Brede Hangeland, Simon Kjaer and Steven Taylor are the replacements being looked at. Keisuke Honda is the next target – who was wanted by Rafa Benitez before Honda moved to CSKA. Roy will first bid £5m and Albert Riera, who was wanted by CSKA in the winter a bid of £10m+Riera more likely to be successful. Javier Mascherano looks set to replace Yaya Toure at Barca, with talks planned this week after Argentina's exit from WC. To replace Mascherano, Gilberto Silva is wanted for around £3m, Anthony Annan from Rosenbeg, Scott Parker, and interestingly Gareth Barry dependant on his situation at Man City all potential replacements

"Chelsea Summer Transfer Plans 2010"

Blah blah blah, Chelsea will not be signing anyone like Kaka, Schweinsteiger, Hamsik etc, these players will cost between 28–45m with wages over 150k a week, Ancelotti does not have that kind of dough to spend, he was brought in to use the squad that he inherited, Chelsea's days of spending 50m a year are well and truly over, especially in 2012, they have let players go who are on far too much money players like Ballack, Deco, Cole etc because they have to cut the wage bill by 40% by 2012 or they will not break even and will be eliminated from the Champions league. The problem is letting these three players go only saves them around 18m a year and you made a 47m loss, so don't think the Russian will start bringing in players with huge wage demands because it will not happen. Chelsea have brought back Mancienne, Dos Santos and Sinclair from loans and have promoted 10 new youngsters to the Chelsea first team squad, if you do not believe me then check? Chelsea this season have nearly 20 young players in their squad that was not used at all last season, these players will be used this season which is why spending money is not on the Russians cards.

Benayoun has replaced Joe Cole!

Matic will replace Ballack, although Essien and Mikel are first choice.

YorkieLad

Ah – Sunday morning..In reference to this post:

"Did anyone watch Hodgson's interview.Mr.Broughton said that no offers have been made yet and he is hopeful that LFC will be sold by the end of the transfer window.A positive is that Hicks and Gillett have stepped down completely and left all takeover talks to Purslow and Broughton. If the takeover is complete before the end of the transfer window then we could have a similiar prospect to Man City and have last minute big transfers in August."

Is Broughton a psychic? He says that NO offers have been made BUT then adds that he EXPECTS bids to start in mid–July, with the process finished by the end of the transfer window.

How does he KNOW that there will be ANY bids at all? And if there ARE bids in mid–July – which right–minded person or group are going to rush through due diligence with the club's finances in such a sorry state?

I've said it time and again – READ BETWEEN THE LINES. Broughton KNOWS there will be new owners because he KNOWS that there are 3 serious bids. He supports one, Purslow supports another. Purslow is Hicks' mouthpiece and Broughton is acting on behalf of the banks and for the best interests of the club.

To the guy who said this:

Nigel Dougherty to leave his position at Notts Forest and re–call the debt owed to him by the club. Peter Storrey involved with a take over.

To the guy who said this, at least try and make your lies believable. What reason would Nigel Doughty have to leave Nottingham Forest? He is a life long supporter of the club and Forest are currently in a very stable financial situation. On top of this we just achieved our best league posistion in many years and it would seem that our future looks bright.

Future looks bright? Look at what I have said and think to yourself "where's the signings?" Then read what I have put again, now does it make sense?

I really don`t think that what you have stated has any credibility, why would Doughty want to sell up when he has just over hauled the transfer committee and held talks with Billy Davis on his future with the club and has sanctioned several transfers coming to the club this summer!

This does not make sense, as for us supposedly not making and signings just yet, so what, lots of other clubs throughout the country have`nt either! so there is no need for panic, i think you are a supporter of either Yorkshire pud Leeds or Direby clownty, if you are i would be more concerned about the lack of real ambition from your own club!

We shall see who has ambition and who hasnt, and as far as Doughty wanting out of NFFC, he is not going.SIMPLES as no doubt you are with this non starter

Unsigned wrote at length at 04 Jul 2010 02:55:12:

"First of all I'll address the relationship between Roman and CSKA, he did sponsor them for several years ……."

This has already been addressed, but Abramovich was involved for 20 months with Sibneft whilst they were sponsoring CSKA. Several years is a significant exaggeration.

The rest of your post has Chelsea replacing the first team this year and again next – at a cost of several hundred million pounds. It seems most unlikely.

As I said previously, expect a striker and a couple of midfield players.

Leeds are to make a shock signjng this week with a 7 figure bid been accepted by Nottingham Forrest for center forward Dexter Blackstock. Blackstock currently has 3 years remaining on his contract, reasons for Forrest willing to sell are unknown."

The main problem with that story is that Leeds don't have seven figures. However the reason that they might be willing to sell is that he doesn't score enough goals.

Re. to the estate agent that had a call from ballotelli

first of when did players start phoning estate agents directly, i always thought it would be a representative or someone along they lines.
And secondly when football players start telling estate agents their business, u must have a really confiding phone voice, and if that's the case you should volunteer for the samaritans

To the optimist who said .I have also heard a rumour about Ryan Babel and £35million going to Villa park with Milner and Young going the other way, Villa are targeting Scott Parker , Carlton Cole and Shaun Wright Phillips apparently I would love this to be true but im not sure if this will happen to be honest.
west ham to sign ashley young and gabriel agbonlahor i think i have worked this game out all you do is pick another premier league team choose a couple of there best players and post that they are going to sign for your team and when somebody does the same about your team you say no way! we won't sell him he is too good..anyway hasen't parker gone on record and said he is staying put

More to follow, expect story to break next week if all goes well.

Leeds United News

An update from my posts on Friday.

If anyone is doubting my sources all I can say is that I work in catering at a facility used frequently by LUFC staff.

Hooper: Talks are ongoing over his move, but have been suspended for the weekend. No further details on this one.

Akinfenwa: Expected to travel to Leeds this Tuesday to look around the facilities and have a brief meet and greet.

Apparently the Brazilian trialists have been a disappointment. Although they are scheduled to have two further sessions next week.

Chelsea Summer Transfer Plans 2010

First of all I'll address the relationship between Roman and CSKA, he did sponsor them for several years through a company he was involved in he has no direct financial involvement at present. He is however close to the centre of power at CSKA (and Russia more generally) and if there are players that Chelsea management deem potentially useful (ala Yuri Zirkov) then he may involve himself in helping make things happen. There has been some illusion to a 'special relationship' between the clubs, this probably isn't strictly true in an Arsenal/Ajax sense, but there is a strong relationship between the clubs.

There are a quartet of players who are currently at CSKA who would be interesting Chelsea at present Milos Krasic is NOT one of them, they are Seydou Doumbia, Keisuke Honda, Igor Akinfeev and Alan Dzagoev. Vagner Love and Tomas Necid may also be on the radar but probably not for this transfer period.

For Deco, the options are, Marek Hamsik, Alan Dzagoev, Mesut Ozil or Kaka. Kaka only if Ashley goes to Real Madrid, any would be good, Ozil would be very good, Dzagoev is probably a future Chelsea player regardless though.

For Ballack, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Sami Khedira or Jean Makoun. If as looks increasingly likely we are forced into a bidding war for Schweinsteiger, with Real Madrid and potentially Man City, we may have to look elsewhere. Jean Makoun and Sami Khedira both offer the muscle required to replace Ballack in Midfield.

I'd still like to see some longer term plans for the right wing, beyond the 31 year old Yossi Benayoun. There's the young Shaktar Donetsk pair of Alex Teixeira and Douglas Costa, one of the Barca youngsters, Gai Assulin, Jonathan dos Santos or Thaigo Alcantara, Gervinho…oh and Thomas Muller. We could actually get a few of these guys over the next few seasons for a whole of midfield regeneration. I have heard that signing Yossi may have the added bonus of helping us compete with Arsenal for Assulin, while if Cesc returns then Alcantara and Dos Santos may be looking for new clubs. Muller has had a great world cup, but Bayern will make us bleed Euros to sign him. Gervinho brings added versatility and a lower price tag, plus we already have a strong Ivorian contingent. Teixeira and Costa are two Brazilian starlets who could give us the creativity that we will miss with the departure of Deco.

For a third striker, the clear front runner is Sergio Aguero. Pato seems destined to one day join Chelsea, Milan are desperate not to loose him for next season will be at Chelsea in the near future. Torres is possible but unlikely. Suarez has been mentioned but Aguero and Pato are preferable.

For future strikers, there are several options, Moussa Dembele a highly talented and strong physical forward, who fits in well with our style of play. Though he is potentially outclassed by rising stars Romelu Lukaku and Lacina Traore any of those three would be good signings. Seydou Doumbia's move to CSKA moves him into Abramovich's orbit, Vagner Love and Tomas Necid are already there. Lukaku is a must, I like the idea of Lacina Traore as a 'Super Sub' in the Torre Andre Flo vein, while Domubia and Dembele are both high quality young finishers who would serve us well.

Belletti and Ferreira need replacing. Neven Subotic, Darijo Srna, David Luiz and Juan Manuel Vargas are possible movers. Dani Alves can be signed for free in 2012. Igor Akinfeev should be brought in to replace Cech in the near future (they can fight for the top job over the next 12 months or so until Cech leaves). Vargas, Fabio Coentrao and Nacho Monreal should all be considered if Ashley goes to Real Madrid, beyond that defensive players are a luxury not a necessity, and though I'm not personally in favour of it Roman's push for Sergio Ramos (I'd prefer Alves), cast adrift by Mou and Maicon at Real may occur.

I'd also like to see us heavily invest in young players who may not necessarily be first team next year, but soon. Apart from the young Brazilians, Lukaku, Traore, Dzagoev and the Barca trio there is also the likes Benfica's Urreta, Ajax's Christian Eriksen and Nicolas Lodeiro, FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk's Yevhen Konoplyanka, Swede's Rasmus Jonsson and Rasmus Elm, Eden Hazard and Brazil's Philippe Coutinho, Lulinha and Paulo Henrique. (Not all of them obviously)

We also need to find players from the parts of the world where we are not selling jerseys and put them in the squad so we can start selling Merchandise, as part of our strategy for self sufficiency. Keisuke Honda (CSKA Moscow) of Japan, Park Chu Young (Monaco), Lee Chung Yong (Bolton) and Ki Sung Yong (Celtic) of South Korea, Hao Junmin (Schalke) of China and Clint Dempsey (Fulham), are all options, and many of whom have shown at their recent hit outs in the World Cup, that they would be no weight to carry.

Leeds united needs defender ?? I think SG will use Tom Lees for starting line–up in pre–season. He played for Accrington Stanley more than thirty games. And for Mr. Bate's policy, he will use home's youngster to make their squad. Then do we need Jay Demerit to ER ?? mate. I think " No " . Actually we need 1 or 2 midfielders but we don't know yet coz SG don't say anything that we know !! Ha Ha

Eduardo and Rosicky look set to be shipped out of Arsenal to Spain and Germany respectively. Wenger is hoping to get around 5 million for each.

Wenger did enquire about Hazard but was taken aback when Lille asked for 20 million, the firesale of Eduardo and Rosicky are rumoured to be to make space for Joe Cole.

Barca claim they are still very interested in Fabregas, however, their ablity to buy him is decreasing, despite the 25 million from the Toure sale, Guardiola is very interested in Mascherano who would turn down a move to Inter for Barca and is rated at 25–30 million. Barca may still bid 40 million but its looking more like Fabregas will stay for at least one more season (however if he moves (one of), Gourcuff, Ander Herrera and possibly Honda or Montolivo could be in the frame to replace him.

A transfer for Lorient star Laurent Konscielny is being wrapped up at around 8.5 million pounds and Wenger will look to buy one more centre–half. Mertersacker, Sakho, Zapata, Cahill, Diakhate have all been linked.

Finally a deal for Schwarzer is close following Hodgson's departure it will probably be worth around 3.5–4 million pounds.

04 Jul 2010 08:00:49
Good to see that the level of hysteria around LFC transfer targets is growing nicely. As well as bidding for pretty much anyone vaguely decent from Fulham, Hodgson is also now targeting Gervinho, Okaka, Steven Taylor, Ashley Young amomg others and the pot has grown to £40m.

I have my doubts :–), and as for £40m transfer budget this would imply that Masch has been sold despite a public denial of interest from Inter (altho' this may mean nothing). Surely, at best the pot is still less than £20m even including the Yossi money (based on £15m less around £2m – £2.5m compensation payable to Fulham plus around £6m for Yossi – assuming this money wasn't already included in the pot).

I have got no sources but this is what i think we will see at old trafford this summer:we have enough wingers..but i think we will get ozil because he is a natural left footed player and can play on the wing so he can replace giggs..as for attack i think fergie should give hernandez a chance (he is promising) but i think he will make a bid for a world class striker and the bid will be rejected.MAN UTD 2010/11 SQUAD

The transfer goss from today's The Mail (4th July) reports Ashley Young is Roy Hodgson's number one transfer target. As he wishes to bolster the number of British players.

In my opinion.. GET HIM!!

hahaha
Babel is terrible. He's not worth 5m.. He's going to Arsenal if anything.

Liverpool aren't getting Young. Milner is most likely staying with City going on a spending spree and Milner's intelligent enough that if he wants to stay in the English squad he has to play and at City, he won't.
