News from South Wales
Swansea City are trying to match Cardiff City stride for stride in the transfer stakes and this has caused a stir in the Swans boardroom.
Allegedly, Chairman Huw Jenkins was looking to bring in two high profile names in September but was shouted down as a) the club simply could not afford the wages and b) It was seen as an effort to 'out do' Cardiff rather than doing what was best for the Swans. Swansea do want to move in the transfer market, but will await the January transfer window when they will be getting transfer fees in for Pratley (Wigan, QPR and {surprisinlgy} Cardiff interested) and Rangel (Blackpool bound)
all the above is true.
plus, jenkins is to sell up next summer. a potential buyer has already approached the club with the view of taking swansea to the premiership.
interestingly, the finances of cardiff are to be probed as fraud in their accounts has been detected.(2)(3)

Roberto Di Matteo is keen to bring Cardiff hot-shot striker Jay Bothroyd to The Hawthorns in January.
If Cardiff get a new striker in, they will let him go as they will recoup a fee.
Cardiff are after Leigh Griffiths (Dundee) and Glenn Loovens (Celtic) in the January transfer window.(1)(4)

After failing in their attempt to get Simon Cox & Max Gradel last summer expect renewed bids come January. The Swans will be disappointed not to get a deal done here.
As for Cardiff, they are sitting pretty but again have a long shopping list for January. Expect departures at the CCS also with Rae, Commingues (released), Wildig (Hereford - Loan) & Gypes to go. Bothroyd looks likely to run down his contract on the basis Cardiff go up, he stays, they stay down he goes.
Cardiff are looking at defence & attack and, as previously stated Pratley however the latter is almost certainly a non starter. David Wheaters name has been bandied about not only in South Wales but also the North East. Also remember the name Oumere Tounkara of Oldham. Big noises of a bid being made here(4)(9)

I heard that manchester united are lining up a bid for gareth bale to bring a left winger in for giggs for when he retires but harry rednapp has stated that even 30m wouldn't be enough for bale but manchester united have just been given a 60m transfer kitty so they could afford him. if a bid does become official for bale, it is likely that he will hand in a transfer request so he could be at manchester united in the future. he would be a good replacement for giggs as he young and will become better over time and he's welsh, just like giggs :P(8)(38)

I have just heard in my local that we are to plop back into administartion again as Chainrai and Gaydamak only agreed a deal for this month, meaning that we would hva ethis month to find extra payment. Cahinrai has failed to do that and is apparently ready to pull the plug on the club leaving us with the possible threat of liquidation!
Very nervous at this time!

Nigel Adkins has been promised funds by Southampton chairman Nicola Cortese provided Southampton are in the play-offs by the time the January transfer window comes around.
Around £2m has been touted as the amount being promised to him, he will look to bring in Richard Chaplow who is currently on loan at the South Coast Club and after a good few performances from him he is willing to stay with Saints after falling out of favour at Preston.

Interesting news about preston north end
They will be treading water this season and next.
Then when daddy ferguson leaves utd he could possibly at some point become director of football at preston. They will be financed by two irish horse race owners 'sorry don't know names'. They are already very friendly with fergie snr and hemmings.
Also Preston are looking at south american and african players in the summer like wigan did with palacious, valencia etc.(11)(42)

Why would madrid pay 40m plus a 10m player for bale .he was very average again united it, s just his 2 games again inter that everyone thinks he is the new ronaldo . .ever think that it maybe maicons desire to get forward that makes bale look good but againest a good young defender he looked average
