Who is the mystery 5th Chelsea player people?!! Is it Lamps?

03 Feb 2010 20:37:09
Roman Pavlyuchenko, Aiden McGeady, Anton Ferdinand and Kris Boyd have all been lined up to sign for Birmingham in the summer. Gregory Vignal also to sign permanently. Birmingham to secure the services of Hart in the summer too after he hands in a transfer request. By the way why would he join Arsenal lol?

Carsley, McSheffery, Bent, Maik Taylor and Franck Quedrue will all be sold or freed up in the summer.

Birmingham's aim next season will be to crack the top 8 and along with these permanent signings expect a couple of loan deals for promising Chinese players.

Have a contact in the backroom staff at Cardiff who told me that they plan to move for Darren Carter on a 3 month loan to replace the injured/Stoke bound Joe Ledley.

Deal to go through once the loan window re–opens.

Headline: Fergie set to receive summer transfer war chest.

Basically the story says that David Gill has said that SAF has £100 million to spend in the summer (£80m from the Ronaldo deal + the usual £20m given by the glazers).

Here are some quotes made by David Gill:

"I do not have a clue about how many players we would buy in the summer. We do our planning throughout the year but the money will be there and it might be more than £55million."

"We have well over £100million in the bank, so we will assess the squad over the next few months and go into the market as appropriate."

It also goes on to say that Rooney will not be sold at any price and that United are getting ready to offer him a new contract.

Now this £55m figure must have come from somewhere.. Why might be more than £55m? Why not £50m?

I remember Valencia putting a £55m price tag on Villa/Silva if they're brought together. If 1 club brought 1 of them and another club brought another one then the money would be higher. Maybe this is what United are planning for in the summer?

Also heard a silly rumour that United might try for Andres Iniesta in the summer aswell! There's one for everyone to laugh at :P

MAN UNITED SUMMER DEALINGS

After a quiet January, expect some – not massive – changes at OT this summer; 2010–11 will indeed be SAF's final season. This, and the other comments I'm about to make, come from backroom staff at the club who drink and socialise at the same gym/bar complex as a good friend of mine.

GK – VDS will wait and see how his wife is at the end of the season. Fitness, desire to play and form are all okay, but Edwin will put his wife's welfare first, and may retire at the end of the season. Foster – sold, £5.5million to another Prem team..there are said to be around four clubs interested. The main target for the No1 jersey is Hugo Lloris of Lyon, but unless a swap deal can be negotiated with cash+Anderson going to Lyon, United fear that a solid WC showing will drive Lloris' value up to over £20million. For this reason, SAF dropped off the trail for Akinfeev. If this happens, United will swoop for Manuel Neuer for around £10million from Schalke 04.

DEF – Some changes here, with Vidic being sold for around £25–30million to a Spanish giant. Forget his comments, Ronaldo spouted the same just before he was sold. Vida wants the challenge, his wife the lifestyle, SAF is willing to take the hit and the fee. If possible, SAF wants a direct swap with Real Madrid with Benzema coming to OT. If RM won't play ball, SAF will flip them the bird by selling to Barcelona. Gary Neville will either retire, or have his contract cancelled by mutual consent to finish his career elsewhere; he and Fergie have clashed a bit recently, with SAF now seeing Nev as a liability rather than an asset (like a drunken old relative who always causes a scene at a family party).
IN – Smalling is done and dusted, and he will get his chances in cup games to begin with. There will only be one other signing, and this will not be Chiellini or Jack Rodwell – a bid for either would spark a huge bid war with Citeh and Chelsea getting involved. The main target is Bruno Alves of FC Porto (£16million), with Simon Kjaer of Palermo (£14million) a potential backup.

MID – Scholes will announce 2010–11 as his final season; Hargreaves will sadly announce his retirement at the end of the season. Gibson will be loaned out for the first half of the season, potentially Welbeck and Obertan also. Tosic will be sold for £5–8million, depending on his WC performances. Anderson will also leave, with SAF hoping to get a swap going on with another club.
IN – SAF will try everything to land Luka Modric, including offering £16million plus Anderson. He may also try this deal for his backup targets – Stevan Defour of Standard Liege (straight cash, £14million) or Marek Hamsik of Napoli (£12million plus Anderson). A LW is a high–priority, but the sources didn't have any names at this time.

FOR – Rooney going nowhere for a long time! Michael Owen is as good as done at OT, he may leave on loan in a few weeks, but most likely will be sold in the summer for a small fee (likely around £4million). Berbatov has been told unless he bags 5–10 goals from now til the end of the season, he can leave. £15million is a realistic fee, likely from Serie A.
IN – SAF really, really, really wants Benzema. End of.

Jovanovic & Chamack maybe mate, but that is as good as it will get, Mourinho will not be interested in the Liverpool job, he wouldn't work under those useless Americans that's for sure, Joe Cole will sign a large contract with Chelsea & people mentioning David Villa & Silva going to Liverpool in the summer must be joking, If Rafa does leave in the summer, Torres wouldn't be far behind him and why would the two Davids want to go to Liverpool then? They are very loyal to Valencia but if they did leave it would be to a much bigger club, a club playing in the Champions League, not in the Europa League. Chelsea, Man utd, Arsenal, Barca, Real Madrid, The Milans, even Bayern Munich would be a better option than Liverpool.

And don't forget the main reason. You have NO money!

FYI, Liverpool are in negotiations with people wanting to take over the club, this is from the mouth of our managing director.. That means no stupid Americans and people who have money to get rid of the debt/build the stadium and bring in new talent.
And a bigger club that Liverpool? Seriously. Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and the most decorated club in England with a bright future (If we get rid of the yanks)

So onto rumors..

Beckford to Everton when his contract runs out..
Liverpool to sign either David villa or silva (If the yanks are out by the summer)

Edin Dzeko 18.5
Christian Zapata 8.5
JOE HART 7.5

Wenger is working on the deal

Burnley FC will be in the market for a central midfielder in the summer. Apparently Porto's Pele who is currently on loan at Real Valladolid will be their main target if they stay in the Premier League.

Heard from my mate that lives in pallermo that literally the top 6 or 7 prem clubs are ALL looking at simon kjaer, as well as barca and real and a load of other clubs. Shame cos i was hoping wed get to partner him with agger. Anyway from this id assume hes DEFINITELY off in the summer. B interesting to see who wins..DUCKULA

David moyes is being lined up for the celtic job.the Celtic board are fed up with Mowbray snd his style of football, and Moyes has stated he wants to test himself in the champions league with a good team.

03 Feb 2010 12:34:56
Alan Pardew is now happy with his first '18' but is still desperate to off load many of his squad. Lee Holmes, Simon Gillett, Oscar Gobern, Jack Saville, Jamie White and Tony Pulis are amongst about 12 players who need to be gone by the summer if not before

Southampton's young striker Matt Paterson's surprise move to Southend last week may end quickly as Charlton, Millwall and Derby County were all keen on the youngster and are keeping tabs on him until the summer.

Ricky Lambert, Adam Lallana, Dean Hammond and Jose Fonte will all be offered 4 year deals if we win promotion to the CCC.

03 Feb 2010 12:47:39
Rumour going around about Robbie Keane's move to Celtic: the Spanish defender Ramis was not signed by the club because Desmond and Lawell pushed for the Keane move for commercial reasons, meaning that the valuable addition of a decent centre–back was missed due to a limited remaining wage budget for the Spaniard, much to Mowbray's annoyance. This will mean further additions required in the summer – will the 'balance–sheet champions' be able to afford anything if they fail to play champions league football for the 2nd year running? Expect a similar situation to Rangers finances if not

Arsenal just missed out on a late transfer of Roman Pavlyuchenko. My father is a physio at Arsenal.

Heard a bizarre one the other day in the pub, (Well that's what this site is all about innit?), that Stevie Gerrard is going to leave Liverpool. The reason for this is that he is tired of "Allegedly" paying off the press in this country to keep his lovely wife out of the papers for her, (Let's say), nasal intake "Problem".

Barca set 2 make a big play 4 Cesc Fabregas this summer with both presidential candidates making him their top signing and election promise. Vice–President Godall and rival Sandro Rosell are hoping that 40–50 million will b enough to tempt Cesc and Wenger. Wenger however plans to stick 2 his 60–75 million valuation of Cesc b4 even entering negotiations.

In other news, Wenger will do everything possible 2 make sure that Merida stays, Senderos, Silvestre and Campbell are not going 2 b offered new deals so a fee of 2.25 million 4 Montinegrin defender Stefan Savic is being negotiated while a deal 4 Sakho has been in the pipeline 4 almost a year and a 8–10 million pound fee is being thrown around by PSG. A striker may b signed if Eduardo and Vela continue 2 struggle Wenger has Loic Remy (rated at 15 million), Stefan Kiessling (12 million) and Chamakh in his sights.

The Tap, Tap, Tapping from Lytham Lancashire.

All's not well in the PNE household. FERGIE JR turned on the hairdryer treatment last night in the dressing room after the woefull display from "most" of the players. As mentioned before JON PARKIN will go out on loan (couldnt get the price Shaw was after)and is more than happy to be going.

The senior players are getting very disillusioned with FERGIE JR's weak tactics and training methods. ROSS WALLACE made it clear to others that he WANTS to leave and may push for a loan deal if IRVINE will have him.

CHAPLOW, SHUMULIKOSKI, HART & CARTER will be looking to find new teams after FERGIE JR's frank exchange of views.

03 Feb 2010 10:31:24
Joe Cole will not be joining Liverpool this summer. He has stated he wishes to play for Chelsea for the rest of his career, and not to mention, why would he want to sign for a side which has no promise of silverware, and looks like they won't qualify for the Champions league. Expect the no.10 shirt at Chelsea to still show 'J.Cole'

03 Feb 2010 11:01:15
Told you guys it would be a quiet January and Nani wouldn't leave. SAF is quietly confident that
a. Nani will build on from last week and start to finally fulfil all the potential he has
b. Anderson and Berbatov will see Nani's story and kick on from here, specially Anderson
c. Hargo will be back as good as new

Moreover, SAF still has faith in Gibson, Obertan, Welbeck, Macheda and the twins; its true he hasnt played them much recently, but as he has repeatedly pointed out, how much game time did the fledglings enjoy at their age?

United will definitely be making big changes this summer, just not as big as people have been saying.

Outs
Neville – retire, Vidic (40mill Euros to Milan, who are willing to spend big again), O'Shea (10 mill Euros), VDS (retire), Owen – free or maybe 2–3 million

Ins
SAF's main targets are a GK, CB, RB and left winger.

Fergie's looking to see if he can take advantage of Juventus' troubles to snare Buffon and Chiellini in a combined 50mill swoop. However, the more realistic option is Adler (GK) and Kjaer/Mexes (CB).
SAF's targetting a double swoop worth ~40mill Euros for Santon (RB, LB) and Balotelli (Fergie sees him having the same kind of effect on the left as a young CR). Both players have strong reasons to leave Inter, and ManU is the best place for them. Apart from these, United are also looking at Mata and Maicon.

Lastly, Fergie looking at Joe Cole and Canales on a free!!

03 Feb 2010 05:11:39
Stoke missed out late on with their two main transfer targets– Sidwell and Rodallega but will strengthen seriously in the Summer.

Expect a fair influx of players at the Brit pre season with a lot of squad players to leave. Kitson will be loaned out again once the loan window opens. West Brom are interested. Please someone take him.

03 Feb 2010 08:17:41
I'm a good friend of Neville Neville. He tells me that SAF and Gary Neville have had a proper bust–up over the Tevez issue. Neville has been excluded from senior training since the incident and his reprsentatives are seeking emergency talks with regards to a contract cancellation by mutual consent. If Man U agree it will make the full–back a free agent and he is likely to sign for boyhood heros Notts Forest.

After the Preston defeat last night.
The players had a major go at Fergie 2 in the dressing room about his tactics. None are happy with the new system, and are not prepared to play for him.

03 Feb 2010 10:07:04
Gooners stop dreaming Wenger won't spend £30m on one player anyday, likely summer transfers Savic, Hazard and Chamack or Remy up front. I would like a new Keeper but can't see that happening.

03 Feb 2010 00:25:28
Joe Cole, Jovanovic and Chamakah. Welcome to Anfield baby! Did i mention Mourinho? ;)

02 Feb 2010 23:48:08
I've just heard that Liverpool have agreed a deal to sell the naming rights to their new ground at Stanley Park for a fee of around £100M. Contracts have been signed. Expect an announcement within the next fortnight. Also, the yanks are looking to raise another £100M by selling a stake. This will be used to reduce current debt. NOW HERE COMES THE SURPRISEThe yanks will invest their own cash to part fund the new stadium. This is why they have been selling their other businesses. –James007–

Scott .
No new Leicester city news other than there was meant to be another loan signing but it fell through , but lcfc could still poss see it happen when loan opens, it's up to Pearson. Oh and DJ will go at end of contract/season.
Not much about Milan manderic either apart from he wants to boost the profile of Leicester so he can get more investours in to boost the buisness side because I'm sure he will be looking to go in a few years . But he's NOT selling the club just look for more people to join the board then when in the prem ge will probs sell !!!!
LCFC :)
