Reyes is on his way to Real Madrid, not Atletico, with Baptista coming this way. Atletico can't afford Reyes, and Baptista had a high transfer fee into Madrid so Arsenal won't feel as though they've lost anything with a straight-up. Coventry will complete the signing of Nacho Novo then turn their attention to Derby's Lee Camp. It's believed he'll sign for Coventry ahead of Norwich and Sunderland.
Sunderland will sign former Juventus defender Mark Iuliano. They are also in for Derby goalkeeper Lee Camp and Norwich striker Leon McKenzie, however, Camp is believed to prefer a deal to Coventry and Norwich want Chris Brown and £600,000 in return for striker Leon McKenzie. There have been recent rumours that Owen Hargreaves of all people could sign for Man U. This is a very secret deal but Hargreaves may be unveiled soon. As yet the press have not heard about this. The club have reportedly had a bid of £500k accepted by Rangers for Nacho Novo who will travel to the Ricoh this week to discuss terms before thursdays transfer deadline.The rumours i have are listed below and if things go the way they seem to be going then all this will happen before thursday.
1. Carlos Tevez will sign for Arsenal for £17 million and Javier Mascherano will also sign for £16 million. Both players will be unveiled as Arsenal players before the kick off of Brazil vs Argentina on 2nd of september.
2. Ashley Cole is staying at Arsenal and Jose Reyes is moving to either one of the madrid clubs for £15 million.
3. Owen Hargreaves to sign for Manchester united in a £16 million deal.
4. Portsmouth to sign younes kaboul and middlesborough to sign jonathon woodgate on season long loan.
5. Didier Drogba to sign for AC Milan to replace Shevchenko in a deal of £20 million.
6. Arsenal set to launch a bid of £4 million to southampton for gareth bale with southampton likely to accept as they will get a few of arsenals loan players.
7. Newcastle set to complete the deal for chelsea's robert huth.
8. Ronaldinho staying at barcelona despite having a row with the manager and being left out of the match with celta vigo.
9. Spurs to sign Mido and maybe Julio baptista in a £13.5 million deal if the mido deal goes through successfully quickly.
