Aiden Mcgeady is ready to swap the drab existence in the Scottish league in a £3.5m move to Stoke City. Struggling Stoke will make McGeady their first signing of the January transfer window in a bid to survive the drop. McGeady is excited by the move given that he will finally have the chance to play in a proper league against proper teams.
  Here are some rumours coming out of the burnley camp ;
if gabor kiraly goes to hibernian then owen coyle could make a move for paddy kenny at sheff.utd for a cut–price fee of £600k. diego penny is said 2 be fed up with warming the bench and barnsley have shown an intrest in him. steven smith is on the verge of joining burnley from rangers and southampton's andrew surman is looking for a move away from st.marys and coyle is set to bid over the club record fee for him but only if chris mccann leaves to join stoke for £2.1m
Glen johnson to liverpool for roughly 6–7 million . Source works at pompey , and says that personal terms have been agreed . feel sorry for pompey though , as johnson is a real quality signing .

  Wolves Facts.

Ebanks Blake and Michael Kightly will not be allowed to leave the club for any fee so Everton and the Toon are wasting their time. The only players available for Transfer are Darren Ward, Potter, Jody Craddock and Denes Rosa.

Wolves Rumours. .
JJ O'Toole (watford) 1 million + Darren ward
Marvin Elliot (Bristol City) 2 million
Matty Fryat (Leicester) 1.5 million

Mark Davies will also return back from loan at leicester for the remainder of the season
  Hearts out
Berra £8m to Fulham

Celtic out
Aiden McGeady £10m to Newcastle United

Aberdeen out
Derek Young

Aberdeen in
Josh Walker on loan
To the person that said Matty Fryatt is close to signing for Cardiff is talking a load of rubbish. Fryatt has just signed a 3 and a half year contract a Leicester and doesn't want to go.

Nigel Pearson though isn't wanting to make many adjustments to the squad but Eric Odhiambo and Carl Pentney will be moved out on loan. Here is the biggest shock though, Chelsea are targetting a double swoop for youngsters Jorrin John and Ricky Sappleton.

Fulham, Hull and Middlesborough are looking to sign Tunchev, as are about 12/13 championship clubs but there is no need for us to sell up.

Nige wants to sign a goalkeeper and a striker.

INS:
Gilbert (permanent) – Arsenal
Davies (permanent) – Wolves
Steve Simonsen – Stoke
Craig Mackail Smith – Peterborough/Guilherme – Cruzeiro

OUTS:
Eric Odhiambo – loan
Carl Pentney – loan
First of all birmingham have recently stated that McFadden will not leave for anything short of 16mil which is a ridiculous price tag but this has scared off any buyers so he will not go to celtic

if arteta was to move on most likely to arsenal then rangers would get 15% of this transfer due to a sell on clause that has been in his contract since he left the gers
smith would use this money to buy driver from hearts to sort the problem on the left wing
rangers also to move for

tonel – 2mil
iwelemu(spelling)– 1.5 mil
mcarthur – 600k

these moves will only happen if the following are moved on

adam – championship
burke – championship
daily – championship
beasley – America
velicka – Hearts(driver deal)
gow – loan team
webster – birmingham

novo will not leave as he is a die hard rangers fan and wishes to finish his career at ibrox

  Andy Driver to Everton
Berra to Everton

Velicka to Hearts
Killen to Hearts
Callum Elliot to Dunfermline/Andy Kirk swap to Hearts.
Derby caretaker anager wants to sign tomasz kupisz on loan from wigan and shelton martis from wba for 200k.
Fc utrecht will offer derby 500k plus cedric van der gun for tito villa
Tottenham are goin to make a bid for toulouse forward andre –pierre gignac.
  Liverpool Rumours

The Transfer window is upon us once again, and I can confirm, that Liverpool will try an audatious bid to bring the forgotten Adriano of Inter Milan to Merseyside. With Rafa believing he needs a more clinical, and undoubtedly world–class striker at his disposal as cover to play as the lone frontman for when Torres is unavailable or injured. However Rafa believes that the two will be able to form a partnership to leave even the worlds eliete defences trembling. This deal has come to be as Jose has publicly stated that Adriano is surplus to requirments at the San Siro and Jose's need of an out and out winger to complete the jig–saw for his team in Milan. The man to fill the mould is no other than Ryan Bable, who has been seeking a move away form Liverpool due to a lack of first team action and his relation with Rafa turning sour, believing a move to Italy will relight his career. A straight swap or loan moves to both clubs are on the horizon.

It would appear that Walter Smith has "as long as he wants" (from Sandy Jardine) in the Ibrox hotseat. So, unfortunately, unless he stands down he aint going nowhere.

Unless fans start to exert the same pressure they did on Paul Le Guen that is . .

Walter has targeted 3 player ONLY but to finance the deals (fees and wages) at least 6 players have to leave Ibrox. Unfortunately Charlie Adam is not one of those 6.

An enquiry has been made to Sporting Lisbon for Tonel, however it would appear that the news coming through on that one is that he will head to either Italy (Lazio) or Greece (Panathinaikos).

Christophe Berra has not been targeted . . yet; the Chapionship is a more realistic destination for him with McLeish (Birmingham) desperate to add the (much–overhyped) centreback.

Dean Sheils has been targeted and in all likelyhood will join but perhaps not until the summer. Yet again, another waste of time and money.

Andrew Driver has been mentioned on this forum but again he will be plying his trade in the Championship with Wolves hot–favourites to land the future England U21.

The only other player that Walter 'has his eyes on' is a certain Julien Faubert of West Ham who somewhat controversially snubbed Rangers in the past. West Ham however know they can get a much inflated price for the utility player from France with Lyon showing interest.

The 6 aforementioned players are: Cristian Dailly, Brahim Hemdani, DaMarcus Beasley, Andy Webster, Alan Gow and Jean–Claude Darcheville (who has already agreed terms with French side Valenciennes).

Once again it should be mentioned that if the right offer comes in for these players: Pedro Mendes; John Fleck; Dean Furman; Magid Bougherra; Thomas Bendiksen; then they too may be on their way out of Ibrox but movement would be more likely in the summer.

  Man utd news:

not a great deal happening at old trafford this winter just Zoran Tosic and Adem Ljajic form parizan belgrade comming in but and no1 will be leaving. The summer window is where u'll see a few changes, first off Tevez won't be signing a perminant deal he will stay until the summer when his loan deal expires then he'll be off 2 pastures new as sir alex can't give him the playing time he deserves(a shame i'll be sad 2 see him leave) and kia won't drop the asking price of 32mil, but the big news is on who will be replacing him it's non other than Mario Baloteli who has had a falling out with Mourinho, the bad news is that in order 2 get him united will be sacrficing Evra as part of the deal(again i'll be sad 2 see him leave) but Mourinho's a big fan and want's a new left back and feels Evra is the best(i have 2 agree). but it's not all bad news fabio Grosso of Lyon has been lined up 2 replace Evra and Fabio Da Silva is surpost 2 be better than his Brother when he's not injured. also coming in over the summer will be Miguel Veloso of Sporting Lisbon, Kyriakos papadopoulos of olyimpiakos and either Axel Witsel or Alexi Sanchez or even an audasious bid for Ashley Young.

As a lot of people have said, the financial state we're in will mean there will be minimum spending this month.

As a Spurs fan, I can't see Defoe coming to us for anything less than £18–20 million, which means 'Arry will probably have to scratch Defoe off of his wish list. A thought that occured to me earlier was that he could possibly move for a loan deal for Defoe with Pavlyuchenko and £3 million going the other way. Or, if Defoe is completely out of the question, move for Cavenaghi in France with Bordeaux. The one downside to signing him is that, while he's terrific in France, he might not have the same effect in England and therefore just end up as another Rebrov or Pavlyuchenko. I'm sure Harry would want to move for someone homegrown or with Premier League experience.

Heading out of the Lane, here's my list:
Gilberto
Kevin Prince Boateng
Cesar Sanchez

There's been lots of talk of Giovani dos Santos leaving because of a lack of first team football. If anyone's noticed, he's had a lack of first team football because he's had an ankle injury that nearly needed surgery. Pretty self explanatory. Also, Harry Redknapp has on many occassions mentioned on how he's looking forward to working with him. If anything, he'll leave in the summer to Chelsea, left to rot in the reserves there and never be seen of again until he turns up at West Ham or something.
My best mates younger brother is a regular on the beanch at celtic and he informed us that craig bellamy has been at parkhead and is in advanced stages with a deal, this is water tight!!

To all the Arsenal fans claiming that Mikel Arteta will join their club for £10–12million, he will not. Wenger has already sounded out the Everton board about taking him, and was told that unless he was able to offer serious money, Arteta would stay at Everton. And by that we're talking £20million. You see, Arteta is Everton's creative force in the centre of midfield. Without him, the club would really suffer. He may not be worth £20m to the Gunners, but he is to Everton. Now onto a rumour that has substance. Jermaine Pennant has been notified of Benitez's intent to sell, and Everton have placed a cash offer for him. Whether the Liverpool manager will accept it is another matter, especially as Benitez clearly has a problem with Everton FC. Time will tell.
To all you sellick fans that think the league is over get a grip you are the worst sellick team i have ever seen at ibrox ! The worst thing that could happen to you was beating us coz now your board deff won't spend any money !!!
Walter away in summer to be replaced by craig Levein but if things don't pick up by end feb sooner as walter only has less than a year on his contract He has already had talks with murray and he will leave dosent want his status with the fans to deterioate anymore!

Mr JS– a word to the wise– even when Rafa was ill he was picking the team, and therefore picking Robbie Keane. Keane will not be sold in January and I'm prepared to wager a grand on Keane staying–any takers on this wager? Also, to put you completely straight, Keane plays nothing like Torres (apart from the fact they have similar work rates/ethics). Torres likes to play "up top" on his own, whilst Keane likes to play as a "playmaker", "in the hole" or as the "link" between midfield and striker, hence why Keane has struggled playing up front as a lone striker in Torres' absence.
Been told by good source that bellamy going to man city 12 million.
boa morte to cardiff 650 000.
james collins to west brom 1 mill.
jack collison to arsenal for 3 million.
100% will him in next week
Zoran Tosic will be heading to Arsenal in a 9mil pound deal after failing to agree terms with Man Utd. Wenger will also bid a 10mil combine fee for Steven Taylor and Charles Nzogbia. Gokhan Inler will also arrive from Udinese for 8mil pounds (buyout clause). Elano on a loan with a view for a permanent switch in the summer.
  AVFC News :

We are all aware that MON needs at least 1 striker and the usual names of : Defoe,Heskey, Owen,Santa cruz,Bellamy,Doyle,Davies,Keane,Bent have all been mentioned, but strong word is that he wants 2 strikers and a left back.Left back he is going for is Lescott and a bid of £12 million is being prepaired now.The forwards on the radar are :Podolski & Crouch.

Wouldnt mind either but we will have to wait and see.

Happy New Year !
To all my fellow bears, Walter Smith will be leaving Rangers as he has been in the job for 3 years now and still hasnt got a full 11 players of the quality needed for Rangers. Craig Levein WILL be the man replacing him. He will bring Lee Wilkie with him (Wilkie feels he is at a crossroads in his career and will jump at the chance to move to a big club) also joining Rangers will be Berra, Driver, Shiels and Steven Fletcher. As you can see Rangers will only be signing players that have been brought up in the SPL enviroment and know how big Rangers are. This is to avoid players using us as a stepping stone like cuellar and boumsong. There will be a mass exodus with Darchville (already gone) Hemdani, Burke, Mendes, McCulloch, Weir, Bougherra, Beasley, Novo and Dailly will all be gone within the next 6 months. Heads up gers, the title race ain't over. RelibleRanger
Aiden mcgeady is going to villa for 5m.

bobo to brum

crespo on loan till the end of the season.

that is all
  Sorry villa

Gabby is going to man city for 15mil
Diego (SV Werder Bremen) seems unsettled since their Champions League demise, the fact that Werder are struggling in the league would suggest a Jan move to Premier League will happen, Chelsea and Villa are watching this closely as Werder look like they could be out of Europe altogether next season with their poor league form.
Podolski is unsettled at Bayern and a possible loan move could happen to FC Cologne or even to the Premiership, no firm bidders are known but a new focus away from Munich would suit Podolski.
The Bundesliga seems to be dropping in standard and a Winter and Summer exodus of top players seems likely,
Crewe Alexandra midfield starlet James Bailey set to join Cheltenham Town on loan to the end of the season with a view to a permanant transfer.
Arsenal will renew thier interest in PSG player Clement Chantome. Dubbed the new Deschamps, he is in effect a defensive midfielder, possesses potent attacking capabilities and is aged 20. A bid was rejected last May, but a new higher bid may be enough to allow Wenger to talk to Chantome.
Wenger feels that this signing along with an experienced & versatile premiership attacking winger (perhaps Arteta) will be sufficient enough to complete the "2% currently lacking to become the Premier League dominant force".
There will not be any movement regarding the defence in January, despite stories relating to Gallas, Toure and Senderos. There will however be a major change in the summer.
It has also been rumoured that Harry Redknapp has let slip his starting 11 next season will be "almost completely different". Dos Santos looks set to be the first casualty with a move to South America being the most likely destination.
Heard a couple of rumours around govan that rangers will sign lee miller from aberdeen , tonel from sporting lisbon , andrew driver from hearts and also zaliukas from hearts not berra! And also a loan deal for julien faubert of west ham could be on the cards. Bougherra is on his way out , as is smith, webster, gow, burke, novo,
I'm sorry Arsenal fans, Arteta isn't going anywhere. You, United, Liverpool are linked with him every year and its just not going to happen. Why would we sell our best player, in our new formation were we are far better without a striker.

Quote: (taken from Bluekipper)

Mikky says: "I always say – and I don't know how many times I have to say – that I'm so happy here and I have no intention to leave. As I always say, one day I would like to get back to Spain before I end my career – maybe one or two years over there. But you never know, at the moment I'm not thinking about leaving because I'm so happy here – and I've been very happy since I joined the Club. I want to stay here and I'm so happy and proud I am part of this Club." (31/07/08)

Does that sound like a player who will leave. Er . . no. He may well leave when he reaches 34–35 to finish his career where he started. BUT that is years away. Why would he leave a club which may well, and have every ambition to, take your spot in the league? That's exactly what Moyes has his eyes on and has told that to the players. Also, £12m is a ridiculous figure. If Moutinho was £18m I'm sure Moyes value him at £20m+. And why should'nt he? Everton are cash strapped for now, but if the stadium happens, we become a very interesting investment prospect. Which means, money. Moyes has resisted bids for Cahill, Areta, Lescott before, and he knows that investment could be round the corner.
Ive heard that owen coyle is keen on bringing andrew driver from hearts and bostjan cesar from marsielle to cover the defensive problem. ive also heard that if he fails with driver he could make a move for out of favour simon whaley from our lancashire rivals preston although that move may not go down 2 well wif some of our fans after he scored the winner against us in the derby last year !!!
Tell me if Im wrong but Redknapp has been using the same agent on multiple deals for years and years on the transfer market. There comes a time when coincidence becomes speculation, the FA obviously have major concerns about this which came to a head a couple of seasons ago when unscrupulous agents were picking the pockets of clubs and bunging. Now I'm not saying Harry has taken a bung, I like Harry a lot and wanted him to be the next england manager. But why raid his home when he was fans shortlisted manager for the England post. We've had agents on the tv this morning (should of been on scum tv) stating they have internationals in the lower part of the prem wanting to go to other teams also in the lower part of the prem. I can only think of 3 major players Defoe, Bellamy and Crouch. Therefore expect Defoe to go to Spurs in the next 10 days.I think Bellamy will stay with Zola and Crouch may go to Newcastle to play alongside his old mate Owen.

Happy new year to everyone, lets all be good to each other.
Celtic to sign Bellamy on a 4.5 million (Bellamy was in glasgow on tuesday looking at porperty so all you rangers heart breakers can be silenced) also hernan crespo is moving to celtic on a loan move for inter celtic will also be hot on the heals of james mcarthy (no competition on who he will choose there)Ohh yeah i forgot pedro mendes hates the gers and Kris boyd is going to brm seems like it is a fire sale That would mean that Darcheville adams boyd mendes bourgerra mcgergor burke thompson and novo omg youve sold half your team. .Mon the hoops
Sorry fellow Newcastle Utd fans but as much as Joe Kinnear has stated Owen won't be going anywhere in January, the latest bid made will tempt Kinnear too much, Inter have offered £4.5m + Suazo. Trust me he is worth the deal, he'll work brilliantly with Martins. Also Shay Given has no plans to leave the club at all and will retire with us.
The derby board have 4 man short list for the mangers job they are chris hutchings, paul ince, darren ferguson and stefano eranio.
Just heard that owen coyle has been monatering dutch winger levi schwiebbe's progress at ADO den haag. he has made a bid of £750k for him so watch this space !!!! if he comes then it looks like wade elliott's days at burley are numbered as owen coyle would much rather play chris eagles !
To the deluded Arsenal fan that believes his team will sign Shay Given, Steven Taylor and Charles N'Zogbia. Taylor signed a three year deal in the summer, he will not be going anywhere. Given is 100% dedicated to Newcastle so all our fans can ignore the rumours circulating him. However you could be right about N'Zogbia joining but you are wrong about him recently almost signing a new deal, he has 3–and–a–half years left on his current deal so I don't know where your sources are coming from. Also, Wolves don't want to sell Kightley so he won't be joining.

This is what will happen at Newcastle this month:
Out–
Owen (£4.5m + Suazo) Inter
Xisco (£3m) Stoke
Carroll (£1.5m) Ipswich
Edgar (Loan) West Brom
N'Zogbia (£4m) Arsenal

In–
Suazo (Part exchange) Inter
Ledley (£7m) Cardiff
Onuoha (£2.1m) Man City
Ryan Taylor (£4m) Wigan
Mareque (£3m) Independiente
Obua (£1.5m) Hearts
New forest manager billy davies will make matt oakley (leicester) his top tranfer target other possble targets are gary teale (derby) gary taylor fletcher (blackpool) craig morgan (peterborough).
Spanish side espanyol will make shock 3m move for stokes ricardo fuller.
