It's Newcastle that are close to signinging Ujfalusi, Rozehnals fellow Czech team mate and Sylvain Armand from Paris St. Germain possibly on loan at first. Also Barnes's performance at Newcastle will see him move north and not south as Allardyce could trump the Hammers and start a bidding war.
Rangers are to sign Benni McCarthy from Blackburn in January with Cousin going the other way in a part exchange deal.
Peter Lovenkrands is also on the verge of a sensational return to Ibrox (with Buffel possibly going in the other direction). He will only sign after seeking assurances that he will be played as a forward and not as a winger like McLeish did with him.
Gers also explored the possibility of signing McFadden but seems unlikely as Smith refuses to get into another bidding war with Celtic.
Buffel will definitley go along with Hemdani opening the way for the expected arrival of Gattuso in the Summer.

I have it on good authority that Accrington Stanley will make several loan moves in the January transfer window. They will look to Everton's youngster Jack Rodwell (cb) which will not be made permanent as he has a bright future there. Accrington where also interested in Ryan Flynn but look to have lost the battle to a bigger club. In the Summer Accrington will again look to Everton, depending on performance and suitablilty, extend the loan of Jack Rodwell and the possibility of former hot prospect J–P–Kissock who has failed to impress over the last year.

Liverpool have missed the boat on Kakha Kaladze, thanks to our American owners, who have no idea how buisiness is ran in the European market. The reason that the yanks may well sell up is because they thought it would be easier to run Liverpool from the US but are starting to come to terms that it is not possible. In a desperate attempt to win the fans over they will show there backing of Rafa Benitez buy becoming more hand on from next season onwards in an attempt to make their "business investment" work more efficiantly. The Summer will once again be exciting times for Liverpool fans, We will be again linked with the same players. Henry, Quaresma, David Villa, David Silva, Aguero, etc. If Liverpool fail to land Heinze in January then he will become a red by the Summer. Carson will be transfered to Villa and the fee is around £5–7 million. Aurellio rumours are nonsense and he will stay, although same cannot be said for Riise who has been a fine servant for the club unless he can pull his finger out and drastically improve form. Sami Hyypia will play his final season at Anfield in 2008/09 season and Sebastian Leto will be loaned out as he has not impressed at all when given the chance. And finally Jermaine Pennant will remain at the club along with Harry Kewell. Rafa is a huge fan of both players.
Lucas Leiva will play more often with the unfortuante chance of seeing Stevie back on the right of midfield and Ryan Babel will become more central over time.

In response to the guff just posted regards us shipping out an entire team and bringing in another, garbage. As per usual with Celtic (and the dark forces at Chateau Ibrox) there will be loans, bosmans and 1, maybe two signings (probably defenders) THAT IS ALL MY FRIEND.
Jan Vennegoor' maybe has been pants of late but Strachan will persist with him and to give him some credit, has looked good past three games. Contrary to misleading stories Boruc is contracted until WINTER 2009 (yes, two years from now, as he was ON LOAN IN HIS FIRST YEAR AT THE HOOPS, then he signed his big contract. We could keep him for a year and still get 6–10 million (depending which rag you read. ) He has TWO years on his contract, not 1 as some gutter tabloids suggested. There will be MAJOR signings in the Summer, trust the oracle that is: GREEN GLOVE.
We have all recently seen the tabloids stating how Gerrard tried to tempt thierry Henry to join him at Liverpool, and with me, myself being a HUGE reds fan I would have loved to see that happen, well it looks as thought it may well happen, either in January or the Summer, what a signing he will be, Even with him not being in the best vain of form at the moment at FC Barcelona.
Now for my other rumours,
Rafa believes that in order for Liverpool to be able to accomplish their main goal, to win the Premiership they need to have a much larger English/british contingent at the club This is why he will hold on to Peter Crouch, for the moment and this is also why he is going to attempt an audacious bid for Micah Richards and Michael Johnson, and he thinks that around £25–£30 million will be enough to attain both youngsters. He is als looking at the possibillty of bringing Newcastle's Steven Taylor to Anfield along with Chelsea trio, Joe Cole, Shaun Wright–Phillips and Scott Sinclair.
Not all of these will go through in January.
The only targets Rafa is looking at for next month are a defender or two and someone to play in the hole just behind Torres, which he believes will help Torres raise his game even higher and play to his full potential, A devastating sight for any team in the world no doubt.
David Silva and David Villa to move to Liverpool in January and the Summer transfer windows respectively. Expect Riise to move to Aston Villa, along with Carson £14 million.
