Andrew Crofts will NOT be leaving Norwich City in the summer unless Paul Lambert signs one more midfielder.

Paul will NOT release Adam Drury either as he is set to retire at the end of the season.(3)(10)He will almost certainly sell on crofts to a championship club simply because he will look to bring in another midfielder as crofts has not made the same impact at premier level.
If Drury is set to retire then isn't that the same thing as Lambert releasing him, however I suspect Drury may return to Peterboro on a free transfer as he has a year or two left in him at championship level.
I actually believe the following players will all be moved on in the summer to make way for replacements as Lambert is ambitious and will not allow sentiment to get in the way.
Drury, Wilbraham, Chris Martin,Crofts and Lappin, Also possibly Leon Barnett could go.
Lambert will look to bring in right back, a left back, at least 2 new midfielders and another forward.
I believe he will try to buy Kyle Naughton assuming they can agree fee and terms with player.
He will also bring back Korey Smith and Tom Adeyemi from their loan spells and look to involve them next season to see if they can make the step up to prem level.Drury is worth another year and after recent performances should be nowhere near retirement. Wilbraham good enough for another year but doubt he will get it or want it. Agree Crofts, Martin, Lappin and Barnett. Zak W must sign new contract though. Smith and Adeyemi to get more experience before PL experience. Whittingham, Eagles and Rodrigues to suplement squad depends on promotion and relegation.

QPR are expecting a massive clear out in the summer, which would see Tommy Smith go to Watford.(23)(6)Massive one player?Who the hell would want them.Posted by a hopeful Watford fan, maybe there manager

26 Feb 2012 19:21:41
Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is set to make a summer bid for Birmingham goalkeeper Ben Foster. Foster is currently on loan at Premier League rivals West Brom but has impressed O'Neill in recent months.(14)(12)Mon hopes to tempt craig gordon to sign a new contract so why go for foster who is a good goalie but no logic in that moveFoster wont move out the Midlands as he has stated that his family is settled in Leamington ,so he,ll either stop at the Baggies or move back to Blues if they are promoted,

striker joining town this coming week, now that wage bill has gone down.
will be from premiere has attended last 2 home games so it's wait and see(7)(16)

Town is that northampton/ipswich/
luton/swindon/huddersfield/or any of the other towns floating aroundSwindon he's talking about and Paolo does have a striker lined up to come in this week now Magera has gone on loan to a Czech team.

Barnsley have loaned out Reuben Noble-Lazuras To Huddersfield.(5)(33)Is he taking his bed

26 Feb 2012 08:19:57
Derby looking to appoint Jim Rutherford from Carolina Hurricanes (NHL) as director of football. Rutherford is well known to the Canadian contingent of GSE and would be a cheaper option to what is currently available in England.(2)(10)Absolute rubbishComing from the NHL might be a good signing as we certainly ain't a football team at the momentWake up We play Football not Ice hockey you muppet, he will know nothing about the sport, the team or the players, so what is the point of him coming?"Wake up" Nigel Clough knows nothing about the sport, the team or the players. Should fit in quite nicely... Muppet

25 Feb 2012 23:49:51
Watford are hoping to secure a loan deal for the highly rated Liverpool striker Nathan Eccleston.(19)(11)

Highly rated by who? finhell he's worse than gardner n thats sayin summet! where did all your danny graham money go?Not sure who Gardner is? And the Graham money? Well unlike a lot of clubs in the country we're paying off our debt with transfer fees we receive every window and will hopefully be debt free next season. If that means surviving on cheap signings and loans for a few seasons then so be it! Rather have a club than go under like those embarrassments on the south coast!I agree with the above comment. Eccelston is a good player, maybe not "Liverpool worthy" but he isn't bad. He'll be a good temporary cover for Sordell. We don't need cover for Sordell we need a replacement!Sorry joe garner not gardner..... still eccleston is absolutely useless! He was not good enough for an ave L1 side when on loan, think it was Huddersfield.

25 Feb 2012 20:33:22
Lee Clark to be appointed new Bournemouth manager after Lee Bradbury will fall into pressure from the AFCB fans to resign.(2)(24)Ye? would you want him tho? LC enjoys spending money which you've got so might go for it... don't think donal mcdermott would be too happy haha. LC got wrong quite alot at htfc believe me! would be strange if he took you to play offs and were to meet again!I'd stick with manager you got clark not bad manager he just does'nt seem to have a clue how to change it when going wrong plus spent 12 million and used 70 yes 70 different players in 4 years and last seasons play off final playing 1 man up front against a team that had conceded god knows how many goals wrong tactics id leave well alone good luck for rest of seasonI don't think anyone would want to work for their chairman

25 Feb 2012 20:26:57
I heard that Matt mills is going to Leeds on loan, I hope this is true because he's useless!(24)(20)I hope this is true. His two types of distribution are kick it long or kick it longer.Football league show says Reading or MiddelsboroTerrible attitude. Always pointing the finger at his team mates. How we got £5m for him I don't know. He's decent enough tho, but he really needs to grow up, not sulk when dropped, and learn to be a team player and a leader. You got £5M for him because no one else except Sven Erikson was stupid enough to pay that kind of money for a player that is probably worth half of that in today's market.Matt Mills is one the best defenders in championship at the moment this would be a great signing for us! TEAM WARNOCK MOTUseless under a useless manager, maybe do well at leeds under the reigning manager of last seasons champions.

25 Feb 2012 14:16:38
olie given a 2 year contract extension(11)(6)

25 Feb 2012 13:37:03
I hear that AVB has had his marching orders - Rafa will be appointed before the weekend is out!(5)(51)Clearly Mate, AVB is on the touchline as we speak! AVB will not get sacked, he's here to change the team and complete his 'project'. It wont happen in 1/2 season!Cobblers

25 Feb 2012 12:19:48
Sheffield United and Huddersfield are both trying to get James Wilson Bristol City centre back in on loan till the end of the season City are considering the offers as Carey Nyatanger and Mcmannus will al be fit next week so Wilson will be 5th choice at AG(8)(13)Htfc don't need anymore CB's! especially not 5th choice at a team that can't defend to save their lives!Wilson is a top class young cb, that needs experience in league 1 before he jumps straight into the championship. We need experience not youth at the moment, so be quiet and shut up and don't put things up here if you don't have a fk what ur on aboutHuddersfield got 2 cb in clarke and mccombe who already have experience of championship football and morrison from reading, who last time i checked were better than bristol city!! he's been only cb we've had on loan from any championship club that could get in our team and reading rate him highly! I'M sure he'll get plenty of league 1 experience with you bike riding west country weirdos when your there next season! oh maybe not because he'll probably leave you, cos no ambition, wont be long til the big west country derbys will be back where they belong
bottom of the ladder! maybe you should have a little think yourself before asking your mum/missus (same person) to type up your next msg! UTT! muppets!I have been told Wilson will be at Barnsley before the end of next week if the board at city allow him to go to another championship club if not he will go to Yeovil to get gamesCity- championship team
Huddersfield - leag 1
Truth hurts2012 -2013 season
huddersfield - championship
bristol stty - league 1
that must hurt!
but surely not as much a knowing your from bristol!I think you are forgetting McCombe left Bristol City for Hudderfield because he wasn't good enough for the championship. Wilson is a highly rated CB who should get into Huddersfield team realistically. I am not going to start name calling but Huddersfield aren't definitely going up and shouldn't because of the way they treated their manager.Funny i thought mccombe was a bit of a fans favourite and didn't you vote player of the season? only people who NEVER watch huddersfield think lee clark is a good manager when the truth is he got it wrong all the time, couldnt change things when it wasnt going right, he had an open cheque book and brought in FIFTY (50) players in 3 years.... htfc got the best squad in lg1 by far yet clark was dragging us around in 4th!!

25 Feb 2012 11:12:41

Liverpool are going to offload Alberto Aquilani, Maxi Rodriguez, Dirk Kuyt, Fabio Aurelio, Joe Cole and Brad Jones this summer. Eden Hazard, Keisuke Honda and Welliton are all on Comolli's wishlist however Hazard may prove too difficult should Daglish fail to guide them into a top four finish.(7)(37)when, when dalglish fails to guide them into the top 4Didn't Honda just join Lazio ? {Ed001's Note - no, it fell through.}Hazard & Honda would never join Liverpool - dream on!

24 Feb 2012 21:24:23
Jay Rodriguez will sign for Norwich in the summer for 5m + a 25% sell on clause .(5)(38)

24 Feb 2012 19:40:29
Well intentioned Rangers fan has
just posted he has pledged to pay £10
instead of using his season ticket to
help his club out, alas it falls down a
little when he then says 40,000 fans
paying this self same £10 would make
RFC £4MILLION per game.
Methinks, maybe this kind of
arithmetic has got his club in the
smelly stuff it is now in LOL(28)(6)400,000.......NOW 40,000 X £10 = £400,000. This type of accounting means that you must be a football agent or at least a chairman of some bankrupt clubBrilliantIs this the same bloke that's running pompey??? haI bet it was Evans and the Crawley board working those maths, a bit like their wages, 3,500 fans paying £15 a game = 6 million a week, yeah we can afford the wages we have

24 Feb 2012 19:22:03
Jeffrey Schlupp to Charlton following departure of Paul Hayes to Wycombe on season long loan today.(4)(16)Dream on.. He's injured anyway !Just HOW MANY times must you lot be told, HE'S INJURED!!........ out for the rest of the season and beyond!Even if he wasn't injured he would be back in the first team

24 Feb 2012 18:59:49
Bristol city have signed boltons sean davis on a months loan
He should be a good addition to our injury ravaged side as long as he can stay fit as he hasn't played for nearly 18 months.(8)(6)Good addition?...GOOD ADDITION??.....he's head and shoulders above the rammel you've got down there!

24 Feb 2012 18:15:13
Man. City are interested in bringing Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain to the club this summer.
Only Messi and Ronaldo have scored more goals than Higuain in La Liga this season, so he'd be a great edition to City’s squad.
Word is City could offer Carlos Tevez in exchange for Higuain!(11)(4)Would be a great signing for city and like wise for real but I guess it will depend on who the real coach is by then as Jose will be gone at the end of this season! Can Madrid afford Carlos's wages?

24 Feb 2012 17:53:58
Leyton Orient have signed West Ham goalkeeper Marek Stech on an emergency loan until March 24th.(13)(3)

24 Feb 2012 17:09:19
steve Evans upset with outgoing players.Board have stated they had to do something as
gates of 2000/3000 aint good enough to keep club afloat and substain life in the football leauge.
Also there appears to be many complaints going into the FA about steve evans,he will learn
tp keep his mouth shut as leauge managers are so fed up with his touchlin antics.
Board are concerned at this time as it could mean curtains for the club in the FL(14)(4)It's about time the FA showed some balls and sorted Evans out once and for all.

He gets away week in week out on the tochline with what he does and grow some bcks FA and sort this person Evans out

24 Feb 2012 17:08:09

Everton will bid for Middlesbrough midfielder Barry Robson in the Summer. And unlike a lot of stuff on this site this is true!(10)(22)That would the same Barry Robson that is on his way to Vancouver then. classic rubbish!Barry in going to MLS i think to Vancover.Lol the same Barry Robson who agreed to join Vancouver Whitecaps at the end of the season? He signed a pre conract with vancover whitecaps in the MLSHe has signed a pre-contract to go to canadaAre you suggesting that people actually
stretch the the truth a little on here you little tinker youI heard that they had a last minute bid knocked back in the transfer window so could be true...Considering he is off to Vancouver you'll have a job!Funny, seeing as he's agreed to move to the Vancouver Whitecaps in Canada. He has signed a deal with a MLS outfitHes already agreed to join a canadian club in summer! No he's gone to mls in summer and already signed pre contractRobson has already sighned for vancouver whitecapsHes going to vancouver.....this is true!Robson does NOT have to Honour the signing of a pre contract just like BECKFORD did not have to sign for Everton after signing his pre contract.Thats good, very true is it, funny how he is going to MLS mate! How can they he has signed a pre contract with Vancouver whitecapsBeckford DIDN'T and COULDN'T sign a pre-contract with everton, you can only sign a pre-contract with a club from another country from the one you are registered in!!! We had a "gentleman's agreement" with beckford, no contract involved. Robson however could well have signed one! it amazes me the little that people actually know about our game!

24 Feb 2012 15:08:41
Leyton Orient are set to sign Norwich keeper Jed Steer on loan untill the end of the season following Lee Butcher's injury.(3)(22)No Chance he is back up for Ruddy at Norwich because Rudd is still out injured.Even thought they signed marek stech from west ham, do they need 2 extra keepers?

New Leeds manager Neil Warnock is looking to strengthen in central midfield as well as central defence, with Delph out for the season. Former skipper Shaun Derry, Blade Nick Montgomery and Cheltenham's Marlon Pack are thought to be targets. Defensively, Warnock is already looking at taking Clint Hill at the end of the current season, when Aidan White is expected to leave.

24 Feb 2012 10:28:57
have read in local rag that poopey squad have 'deferred' a percentage of their wage for the remainder of the season....not given up, or decreased but 'deferred'…….means that their 'deferred' wages are week by week added to the overall debt of the club……how magnanimous of them and typical of today's footballers….tick tock…..(17)(1)Took a pay cut and you still moan support ur team and ull pull through it good luck a Leeds fanAgree with the Leeds fan, either support them or go and boil your head somewhere

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/feb/24/terry-connor-appointed-wolves-manager

connor till end of season - cant wait
to play Brighton and Reading.

what a Joke(8)(13)Hayward bottled it now it seems Morgans bottled itWelcome to the Championship Wolves! haCould end up swapping places with ReadingWolves will reap exactly what they have sown; McCarthy took them up and kept them up all those on here screaming for his removal will maybe reflect on their actions now – well maybe in May.

I wonder if this sleeping giant will drop into league 1 in the next few years, the premier league setup will certainly have to go and the wage bill reduced. All those stars sold off on the cheap to keep the club going etc etc….. We’ve seen it all before, I said on this very site be careful what you wish for Wolves fans. You would lose to bothHope we loose every game we play fat face moxey out.Serves you right mick did a great job
going downYou won't be playing Reading, we will take your position in the prem ;DWe would not have won another league under mick, team selection and tactics getting stranger by the minute. You tell me what manager could escape after loosing at home to albion, blues and villa (in the space of a month), your 3 nearest and dearest.
As for falling through the leagues and having to sell players on the cheap. What aload of bull, last i heard we were the only premier team with no debt. This means guys even if we do go down no need to sell on the cheap. We will sell who we want and who we contractually have to and thats it. This will also mean been in a strong position to hopefully bounce back.
Come on tc.

24 Feb 2012 10:17:31

23 Feb 2012 23:42:46
Bolton's Paul Robinson is going back to the club where he started his career, Watford.

Paul Robinson plays for Millwall mate. Fail!

There are more then 1 Paul Robinson in football, the one at Millwall is a striker and the Bolton, ex-Watford one if a left back.
Fail yourself!(18)(11)The one at Millwall is a defender....We want the one from Bolton back i.e. the legendary Paul Robinson. We don't want any phonies, though we'll take Kenny back. We'll take Kenny back but not as a manager thanks.

24 Feb 2012 07:31:55

The Swindon Advertiser (Fri 24 Feb 12) understands thats:

FORMER Norwich captain Mark Fotheringham is believed to have held talks with Swindon yesterday over a potential move, the Advertiser understands.

Paolo Di Canio is keen to further strengthen his side for the end-of-season run-in and, with star midfielder Simon Ferry having struggled with a bout of flu recently, the Town boss is keen to bolster that position.(16)(6)

24 Feb 2012 06:40:52

Reading are going to try and make a bid for ex-Reading Player of the season, Gylfi Sigurdsson at the end of the season(6)(16)He is a swansea player true and thrueWhy would he joinn a championship team, sure if readin get promoted he may consider it, but he's been watched by top european teams ever since he left Reading, i'd have money on joining a team playing in the Champions league next year, not ReadingCan see us trying IF we get promoted, as much as i'd love him to come back he deserves a top 10 club at leastIf we go up he will jump ship
