Sheffield Wednesday set to sign paddy madden and ed upson from Yeovil for £1 million

No chance

Haha, more like at least a 3 million combined fee!

Yeovil to sign Sheffield Wednesday defender Lewis Buxton for £250,000; Yeovil's joint highest transfer fee paid.

For £6 million they can go.

Buxton out of contract. please try harder

No way would yeovil sign someone fro 250,000 espacially not lewis buxton he's bot even worth 50,000

Why would he go straight after we've been promoted. Surely he'd give us a chance in the championship

25 May 2013 20:43:07
Arsenal said to be looking at Southend keeper Daniel Bentley

What after they released him?

He just signed a new contract

We haven't released him he's signed a 3 year contract.

No I meant Arsenal released him before he came to Southend

You getting him mixed up with David Bentley?

Oh right fair enough, that still doesn't mean they can't be interested in him

Nope I mean Daniel Bentley and they would only be interested in him if they were getting ready for a season in the Championship because although he is going to be a good keeper I highly doubt he will be anywhere near good enough to play for Arsenal.

25 May 2013 20:03:48
Swamsea hoping to sign aubameyang from st etienne. His father and agent met with laudrup this week. Apparently his father want him to work with laudrup as he's his 'hero'. Haha. They're also looking to add kone. Daily mail.

What a load of tripe

Kone is coming to the bluebirds

Rory Delap to join Carlisle United on July 1st. He signed a pre-contract agreement in January. He will be player coach along side Paul Thirlwell, who has just signed his new contract. Rory's family are still in the area and they have been telling people that he is on the way back up north.

More likely to spend next season in the championship and then join us for 14/15, as part of a new management/coaching team.

Rory Delap's family live in a small village in Derbyshire called Turnditch (near Matlock) with him. I know because I teach at the school if his son. He may well go to Carlisle but his family are NOT up North, they're in Derbyshire where he's lived since he played for Derby.

26 May 2013 09:46:52
if delap wants to win the league why go to Carlisle come on there are a lot bigger and better teams in league one wolves, sheff utd, preston that's just 3 teams

Before Delaps time with Derby he made his debut with Carlisle United. Corby, his home town, is close to Carlisle. He may have his own family in Derbyshire, but he is a Cumbrian lad born and bread. good luck on his next move though, where ever that is.

"if delap wants to win the league why go to Carlisle come on there are a lot bigger and better teams in league one wolves, sheff utd, preston that's just 3 teams" As he is a Carlisle fan, who is friends with Abbott and already does some scouting for us on and off

Unforeseen developments at Bristol Rovers.

Gary Kenneth to return to Scotland due to huge personal issues. not of his own making but unfair to print on here.

Dave Clarkson looking to move to Bradford City for £50k.

Ellis Harrison stalling over a new contract as Yeovil and Gillingham have been showing interest.

Fabian Broghamer returning to Germany as he is homesick and found English League way too physical.

Neither deal for Steve Mildenhall or John O'Toole progressing as of yet.

Huge huge gaps therefore in the BRFC squad. calmest man in BS7 is manager John Ward. if true some of the biggest wage earners will be off the books but when will the club start to replace. ?

Why talk so much rubbish. Mildenhall has agreed to join and Harrison has just moves into a new flat with 2 team mates so I staying. And for Kenneth you have just been reading the forum and making stuff up.

26 May 2013 10:08:26
Well done for recycling everything Ward has made clear and that others have wrongly speculated on twitter and the Rovers forum.

I don't think Kenneth will leave, Clarkson won't go to Bradford, you're only guessing Harrison is stalling because he hasn't signed - he could have verbally agreed a deal, Mildy and O'Toole is basically exactly what Ward said on Wednesday. Nothing to see here.

Dont mind if Kenneth and Clarkson go high earners - and there are lots of better players out there

28 May 2013 18:09:16
Bristol rovers are set to sign Craig linfield from accepting after falling out with James Beattie. Also rovers are set to sign Ashley Vincent after accepting a bid for Eliot Richards from Newport county. Also Thierry racon is in talks with rovers after b ring released by millwall

25 May 2013 18:49:05
Middlesbrough are trying to buy Clayton Donaldson of Brentford for a free Transfer

So they think Brentford are going to just give them Donaldson.
A striker who scored 24 in all competitions a league below Middlesborough.
Now that's laughable. No chance of happening!

26 May 2013 01:00:37
That post makes no seance at all

How can you buy a player off a club for free lol

Although Donaldson has a decent goal scoring record of almost 1 in 3, he's only achieved this in the lower leagues. With that in mind and the fact he is approaching 30, he doesn't fit the player profile TM is looking for. TM is looking for lower league players, but they need to be 24 or under. Young, hungry rough diamonds he can develop.

25 May 2013 18:45:11
Leicester will confirm the 1.8 million signing of Johnny Russel by the middle of next week.

Johnny Russell has agreed terms with derby

Summary of players linked with a move to Cheltenham Town - NOT NECESSARILY ALL TRUE.

DEFENDERS:
Ashley Eastham (loan) - Blackpool
Michael Hector (loan) - Reading
Brian Saah - Torquay
Chris Robertson - Preston

MIDFIELDERS:
Luke Rooney (loan) - Swindon
Jamie Edge - (former CTFC, Arsenal, WBA youth/reserve)
Ryan Burge - Port Vale
Ashley Vincent - Port Vale
Matt Richards - Shrewsbury
Peter Leven - Oxford

FORWARDS:
Matt Tubbs - Bournemouth (possible part exchange for Marlon Pack)
Steven Gillespie - Fleetwood
Rene Howe - Torquay
Jamie Cureton - Exeter
Anthony Malbon - Kidderminster

Eastham has been released by blackpool & think a few of those others have aswell, Tubbs won't drop back down to league 2 when he will have league 1 clubs chasing him.

Why on earth would a championship team want Marlon Pack haha

Eastham/Hector or another young loan player in defence looks likely. Yates has often topped up the team with loans. Not sure where the Saah or Robertson rumours have come from.

With Mohamed looking likely to be gone as well as Pack I'd expect a few flair players to come in. Rooney would be good, but I think he's likely to be good enough for L1. Vincent's a possibility, but Leven's likely to be high wages. With Carter gone as well I think there'll be at least another centremid on top of these deals. Could be another loan though.

Upfront is the real problem, Harrad and Duffy didn't have a huge impact last season. Not sure if Tubbs would come here, Gillespie's going to have high wages. Cureton's too old. Howe's probably going elsewhere. I think Malbon's a decent shout, but I doubt he's any better than Harrison. A 15-20 goal striker is what's needed really. Not sure if he'd cut it, not in his first season anyway.

Looks like your playing a 4/65. That's against FIFA regulations mate

26 May 2013 09:43:04
Pack is signing for Bournemouth according to his girlfriend, clubs are negiotating the fee.

I'm not a cheltenham fan but marlon pack is the best player in league 2, I like him and would love to see him at bournmouth.

And how would you swap a player for Pack?
He's out of contract. If he turns you down, which he will. He's a free agent!

Could you afford most of these players wages? you had to let Carter go because you couldn't afford his.
Rooney, Vincent, Richards, leven, tubs, Gillespie and Howe would want as much as he was on

Hector will be paid up by Reading after failing to impress the club hierarchy re his poor early season performances at Shrewsbury.

We didn't release Carter because of his wages, we released him because he was not good enough. Having also lost Benson and Harrad who were on big wages, I'm confident we could afford some of these players' wages.

Darran carter was not offered a new deal, he spent half the season on the bench, and was in effective for 80% of games he played

Just FYI we didn't actually release Carter because we couldn't afford him, that was just what Yates said. Carter said in his interview that he had no contact whatsoever about signing a new contract, so no reason why we couldn't afford some of these players.

As has basically been stated before carter was relesed because yates felt he was not worth paying top dollar for, as for pack he's a great player and will definitely play at a higher level but please, anyone else getting a bit board about him being linked with virtualy every club in league 1 and champ and for that matter people keeping banging on about it!. let's just see what happens.

Matt Richards was released by Shrewsbury Town and certainly won't be back

Anybody know what happened to Carter? Jeeeeez let it go

We want to loan Hector to a side higher up in the football league to see if he has potential to be a first teamer at Reading so I will be amazed if he comes back to you

Don't know why Reading wouldn't want Hector! Having seen the lad since January I'd go as far to say he could play for Reading now! One of the best ball playing centre backs I've seen, particularly at this level, for years! Great pace and strength as well, for me he'd be as good as Gorkss!

Hector played League One football for Shrewsbury at the start of last season. He looked so out of his depth he may as well have been standing in the Marianas Trench.

Had Hector at Shrewsbury. Mistake prone player. Scored one of the dumbest own goals I have ever seen. Not League One standard.

25 May 2013 18:08:33
ed any hull city transfer news?

25 May 2013 18:01:10
Bristol City are not happy with just one new centre back and are looking at Forest Green's Jamie Turley and Crawley Town's Kyle McFadzean

Crawley have rejected 4 city offers fo mcfadzean already so we might as well give up

25 May 2013 17:34:36
Borussia Dortmund will look to bring in a few replacements for possible outgoings such as Gotze, Hummels and Lewandowski.
There targets are :
. Dede - 12 Million
. Eriksen - 20 Million
. Dzeko - 18 Million
. De Brunye (Loan)

Lewandowski and Hummels going nowhere

25 May 2013 16:54:42
Arsenal, Everton and West Ham set to battle for Stoke want away midfielder Steven Nzonzi.

He is nowhere near good enough to play for arsenal

He's trouble

Glad to hear nobody wants him he is a great talent anyway he's had his transfer request rejected

Possibly after more money. Transfer request was put in before Pulis was sacked, he may have just been frustrated by Pulis hoof-ball bypassing the midfield. I bet his neck was really sore by the end of the season.

Good player who could walk into the starting 11 of any Premiership team EXCEPT the top 6 or 7.

£12 million minimum he will leave for

Stoke will turn those attention 2 di Mattio, MacKay and poyet if Hughes doesn't want the position

Peter Coates rejected the transfer request not Pulis

What price will he leave for if he goes? obviously not £12million, i'm predicting £6million but what does everyone else think

Stats show that Newcastle played more long balls last season than any other team in the premier league stoke were 10th in the standings and their were some big teams above stoke who played more long balls that's going get you thinking what else can you say to
insult stoke

There's a difference between a Beckham or Gerrard-esque 30 yard pin point pass to a Shawcross or Huth 'lump it up the pitch in the general area of Peter Crouch'. There are lies, damn lies and statistics.

Oh yh I forgot Gerrard and Beckham play for Newcastle

25 May 2013 16:29:25
Chelsea want Cavani and are prepared to send Torres the other way. But Torres wants to stay

If Benitez joins Napoli then Torres will join him

25 May 2013 16:22:41
gayle to Leicester for 4 mill plus vardy

£4mil! Are you having a laugh! I would say £1. 5 at the very most, probably more like £1mil

Blimey Leicester (over)paid 1Mill for Vardy, so you're talking about 5 mill for a league 1 player - Still its not as if we have to worry about FFP is it

25 May 2013 16:10:50
Bournemouth and Bristol City interested in Stevenage midfielder James Dunne

Good signing

26 May 2013 10:20:41
Bristol city are also very interested in Burkina Faso young keeper Germain Sanou and will also be signing PSG young goalkeeper Alphonse Arola. Both of these players will cost around 400k.

Why would they sign two young goalkeepers?

Becasue we have no goalkeepers at all

25 May 2013 15:51:07
Any rumours on Jetro Willems the young left back from PSV?

Heading for Chelsea

25 May 2013 17:16:06
After telling you about Lee Novak to Birmingham, released Scott Arfield will be linking back with Grayson at Preston.

25 May 2013 17:02:54
Bournenouth have only been linked with 2 players so far. James Dunne & Clayton Donaldson.

25 May 2013 16:38:13
Crystal Palace are looking at Blackpool winger Matt Phillips as a replacement for Zaha. Also they're looking at James McArthur, from recently relegated Wigan.

They've got more chance of signing James Arthur, than McArthur

Hollowwords ain't got enough money for matt Phillips! Or McArthur for that matter!

Tell em to have a real good look, cause that's all they will be doing

Phillips would be a good pickup, might depend how close Hollie is with his old staff.

I expect there will be a lot more loan deals than transfers for palace.

Jedinak had a great season, worked out very well for palace. I would not be surprised if a few more Aussies joined palace (all players how are cheap as chips and undervalued).

McArthur or McCarthy?

^ The poster said McArthur

McArthur wants to have more than one season in the premier league

25 May 2013 16:05:59
Max Clayton to sign for either Manchester United or Arsenal this summer. The clubs are battling it out to sign the highly rated youngster which will increase the price-tag further. The figure could reach as much as £6 million including add-ons!

Hes goes there his carrer will be ruined by the bench like nick powell better off to go to Hull, Villa, Stoke or Cardiff

Red devils

25 May 2013 15:43:02
burton very close to signing Alex McDonald and Dominic Knowles and matt Paterson to sign a new deal

27 May 2013 17:40:01
Zola should stay at burton

McDonald pretty decent. Don't know anything about Knowles, one for the future. Paterson we must nail down long term - outstanding prospect. Zola is another we must sign for next season, offer him the world please!

Worried about the lack of 'news' coming from Burton. If MacDonald goes to Plymouth and Zola and Pato don't sign the contracts on the table, having already released 7 others, we have some massive gaps to fill! Starting to panic now.

25 May 2013 15:32:30
derby are on the verge of briging johnny russel to pride park

Russell will sign for Cantana in Italy, who already bid £800 000. And had it knocked back, United will hold out for 2 million for him. The same price that Goodwillie left for with a year to run down on his contract. So he will not be signing for Derby, who never shell out that kind of money on one player.

He's going to leicester

Be a nice treat.

You're not getting 1 million for him, let alone 2. But, of course, we'll see when he inevitably leaves Dundee United.

26 May 2013 02:27:26
I do not support United, just filling you in on what is happening since I am in Scotland. And the English in arrogance pay little attention to our football. And seem to believe that they have the best football in the world. Funny how the Germans invaded London tonight then. Johnny Russell is hot property, and they do not need to sell him. Plenty of clubs want him, not just your unattractive club. So it will be 2 million good sir, or more when the bidding war happens and it will.

Lol scottish football is of a standard not worth of league 1. let alone championship. you seem to think dundee who finished bottom have millions of money when there is no money in scotland! jonny russel has 1 yr left on his contract for a scottish league player. uld be lucky to get half a million for him let alone 2. all your good spawn will inevitably come to england. and when there past it we sent them back simple.

Or, let him stay a year and let him leave on a free with a juicy wage and signing on fee and 'united' get nothing - would be sad to happen.

However, if a team is willing to spend 2 million on him. I would say fair enough - but I don't think any team would have too, personally.

I could be wrong, but, we will see - also I don't see Derby spending 2 million on him, perhaps a million, perhaps even a little bit more, but, there are other players at a similar standard available for less.

OK, we'll see mate. When the official amount he goes for (because he will leave) is released, I'll be waiting for your apology that I was right all along.2 million! ha suuuure.

25 May 2013 14:53:28
Liverpool have made a £3m offer for Porto's 21-year-old Ghana international left winger Christian Atsu.

25 May 2013 14:54:07
Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez wants to sign experienced midfielder Mark Gower after his release from Swansea. Things may change though if the Spaniard leaves the club to move elsewhere.
It is also thought Charlton Athletic are chasing his signature.

Will sign for CAFC now

25 May 2013 14:53:07
Manchester City are in a £60m battle with Real Madrid for the signature of 26-year-old Napoli striker Edinson Cavani.

25 May 2013 14:52:51
Fulham are preparing to make a £4m move for Aston Villa's 29-year-old striker Darren Bent, while the Cottagers next week expect to complete the signing of Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, 30, in a £2m deal.

Each of those prices is 2m under what they will cost

You think Aston Villa will accept £2m for Bent! Get real!
Bent is still a top striker in the world of football & I'm sure it'll be a lot more than £2m!

26 May 2013 16:20:03
He said under. Think you should go back to maths class sunshine.

He means bent will cost 6million mate

I meant the prices should be:
Bent £6m
Stekelenburg £4m

I believe he meant they will both be 2m more each. Although these are the prices that are being touted

See you can't read as it says " bent 4m" not 2. Any how both deals to be finalised by t' weekend. Fulham doing some great business, just hope we grab Stockdale off of 'em.

Ps I know what's going on at Fulham as me mate's a scout for t'club.

25 May 2013 14:52:20
West Ham are pondering a move for Liverpool's 21-year-old midfielder Jonjo Shelvey

25 May 2013 14:51:36

25 May 2013 14:50:30
Hull City Ins -

Schmeichel - Leicester
Davies - Birmingham
Rhodes - Blackburn
Austin - Burnley
Mackail-Smith - Brighton

That's some serious money being spent there then.

25 May 2013 16:44:47
So only the three strikers then!

CMS isn't going to be fit by the time the window closed so won't happen. Not sure you'd want him in the Prem, even if he was.

Schmeichel is signing a new contract

That's at least 25 million mate

Schmeichel - 4m
Davies - 3m
Rhodes - 8m
Austin - 5m
CMS - 2m
Total: 22m

26 May 2013 10:33:43
As stated Kasper is signing a new contract - I can see why you listed him, as he would get to put himself in the Premier League shop window for the season that Hull will be there and then move to a proper Premier League club - He's developed well at Leicester and would benefit from further development to become a top keeper

Really from someone in the know schmeichel would love to sign for hull if they can agree a deal

Dont think anyone will be buying Mackail Smith from Brighton, he' been out for 2months or more with a serious injury, not expected to anywhere close to fit for 3 more months. Would be a big gamble.

I was at the Manchester United game against Villa and sat with Kasper, he wants to play in the premier league as Leicester are not evening promising promotion.

The whole world knows Austin has agreed to transfer to AFC Bournemouth

Schmiechel will come to hull. leicester won't get promoted untill pearson goes. plus we are in the top division and will offer schmeichel the top division break he needs.

Austin will not sign for afcb. he's prem bound.

28 May 2013 08:28:40
Austin won't sign for Bournemouth. I know that AFCB fans seem to think they are one of the big guns in the championship, but they a wrong. Charlie Austin will only leave for a top 6 championship team or a premiership team.

Blackburn bought Rhodes for 8 million, he scored nearly 30 goals in the championship for them last season. Why on earth would Blackburn sell for the price they paid?! His value has risen and as a hudds field fan, I hope he leaves for at least 12million as we have a 20% sell on clause!

Rhodes knows he made a mistake by going to Blackburn, i'd be amazed if he was still there in August.

Austin is on holiday so I doubt he has joined anyone

25 May 2013 14:45:07
Phil Neville will retire from football after his release from Everton but will be appointed a First Team Coach at former club Manchester United.

Assistant to Moyes

25 May 2013 14:44:13
Rafa Benitez is set to make his first signing as Napoli manager in July by completing the signing for former Maccabi Haifa, Racing Santander and Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun. The Israeli international will sign a two year deal.

25 May 2013 14:42:45
Cheltenham manager Mark Yates is set to take former youth team player Jamie Edge on trial.

Lets hope so

The deal to arsenal was worth. A million pound when he was 15 we received 150k because he was released, I agree get him back he's only 19

25 May 2013 14:42:22
Crystal Palace remain favourites to sign Albert Admoah from Bristol City irrespective of the play-off final result.
It is likely that they will need to pay more than the £1m that they plan to offer as there are as many as 5 other clubs monitoring the situation.

Palace have been favourites for Albert ever since they agreed to sell Zaha.

They have the money, they need a replacment right sided forward.

He is best mates with Yannick Bolasie, and is from the London area.

Its the most perfect fit for a transfer you can ask for.

25 May 2013 14:39:10
Kolo Toure will turn down a deal with Liverpool in order to join former club Arsenal after talks with Arsene Wenger.

25 May 2013 14:38:44
Wrexham are set to do a deal with Altrincham for striker Damian Reeves, Reeves has a free release cause should a league club come in for him, so it will take a small five figure bid, its a complicated deal, allowing Reeves to remain part time to continue running his plastering business, with Reeves becoming full time if Wrexham are promoted back to the Football League.

25 May 2013 14:38:02
Chris McCann has rejected a new contract at Burnley to join QPR.

Chris wasn't offered a contract.

Chris mccann was given a free transfer

They can have him, he's absolutely awful.

They have offered him a contract, McCann wants a new challenge though, and Dyche has said if he doesn't get anywhere he is welcome back at Burnley. It was all on the Burnley FC website

We (Burnley) made a tentative approach to him for a new contract. But that contract would have reflected his current status as a so-so Championship player in an average team. McCann, never one to underestimate his own talent/worth, still believes he is an outstanding Chmpionship player and has opted to try his hand elsewhere. BFC don't want to close the door because he could still be a squad player. Simple as that.

We didn't give him a contract, because he's SH*TE

25 May 2013 14:37:09
Ipswich Town are in talks with former Wolves midfielder Seyi Olofinjana over a one year deal.

Hes wednesday bound!UTO FTB:-)

I've heard it's a 2 year deal after Sheffield Wednesday only offered him a 1 year deal

25 May 2013 14:36:05
Hull may face a little battle to sign Elmo as Blackburn and West Brom are to believe to be interested in him

He'll come to hull. likes the club and the owners. plus guaranteed playing time and a fan base that loves him

25 May 2013 14:36:00
Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy is keen on signing Wolves released trio Christophe Berra, Stephen Hunt and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.

He is very welcome to them

Only want Blake not the other one.

SEB yes please.

Ebanks-Blake and Berra please, Hunt can hang his boots up

Only SEB will sign for ipswich
Berra will go to Scotland
Hunt will go to Blackburn
And griffiths will stay unless someone stumps up 2.5 million
WWFC

25 May 2013 14:28:10
Colchester United are interested in bringing in young West Ham striker Elliot Lee in on a season long loan to add to the options up front.

25 May 2013 14:30:46
Swansea City are after Pierre-emerick Aubamayang, and Arouna Kone (Evening Post)!COYS!

Apparently aubameyang's father and agent have already met with laudrup in. London. Would be a fantastic signing. Still young too.

Would grin from ear to ear if we landed these two. Class players and a statement of the direction the club is heading in.
Don't think many would disagree if I say that it wouldn't be a bad thing if the club reduces its profit targets for next season to land these boys!

Yeah they have already met as Aubamayang's father is a big admirer of Laudrup.

25 May 2013 14:25:41
New Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer has made Grant Holt his no. 1 target for this summer

25 May 2013 14:20:09
Huddersfield Town are wanting to sign four players in the summer, including Norwich forward James Vaughan who has recently been on loan at the club.
Town manager Mark Robins is wanting to sign a goalkeeper to compete with Alex Smithies and is targeting Nottingham Forest stopper Karl Darlow. Forest are expecting to bring in a new first choice player after not really replacing Lee Camp in January and could allow Darlow to leave The City Ground.
Robins is also keen on bolstering his midfield. It is thought he is chasing Oldham player Dean Furman. The South African international was originally thought to be close to securing a permanent deal at Doncaster Rovers after a loan spell but Huddersfield are rumoured to have bettered their offer to club and player.
The final player linked with Town is Tosaint Ricketts. The 25 year old had only joined Norwegian club Sandnes in January but an offer from an English side could leave the Scandinavian club having to let go of their star player.

Absolutely no chance Huddersfield will sign Karl Darlow. Forest rate him very highly and will end up in the premier league at least. Has the potential to play for England.

Rovers have an option on Furman, which was part of the loan deal. could be difficult!

Can't see darlow making the prem and certainly not england, england already have ruddy, hart, forster.

No he doesnt

26 May 2013 02:37:48
At least Darlow don't have an ego as big as his head that's the problem with England now days

You can't have an option to sign on an out of contract player. But I'd expect Furman to sign for Doncaster over Huddersfield.

Hope this Tosaint Ricketts is good and a striker then, we need 2/3 strikers, not just Vaughan, and we already have competition with Smithies, Bennett, and we have Allinson and wilczynski coming through, but if Darlow's better, then why not? Also, Furman will have to do summat big to be in with a shout for a midfield place, but again, if he's better, then why not?

You can have a pre-contract agreement, plus we paid his wages for the weeks we had him on loan, he integrated into the team spirit then and now his old boss is our manager, your move!

Which of the three keepers listed have an ego as big as their head? all down to earth, good, keepers.

I certainly hope Furman isn't coming to Town, he's absolutely hopeless

He may JUMP teams as he does that.

Not wanted at OAGC anymore and the fans won't ever forgive him for leaving his team mates when Captain to go to Donny and his team were in a relegation fight.

Other teams can have we got money for him from Donny and he is free now, lmao. Got more than what we paid for him as well.

More bitter Oldham fans pipping up

Tottenham are favourites to sign wigan's James McCathur for 8 million

I think he means McCarthy

Should this not be James McCarthy?

Clearly means James McCarthy. It would take more than £8M to prize him away. Looking at 10-15M

You mean McCarthy and they will have to dig a little deeper than that.

If its McCarthy he will cost 15m as he has 3 years remaining on his contract.

25 May 2013 12:56:20
Latest from around the baggies ground is that Callum Macmanaman is a top target. So many wigan players connected to West Brom

Callum is out for 2 months and has recently signed a new contract. He has already stated that he is staying at Wigan. He is not leaving.

Callum will be off as soon as his wages are doubled or even tripled

RB George Francombe,
CB Ian Sharps,
LB
CM Tom Soares Darren Carter, Korey Smith
CF Paul Benson Kieron Agard.

Oxford main targets that I've heard.
Wilder has said in the Oxford mail that he wants to sign a RB, CB 2xLB 2 left footed centre midfielders and 1 right footer, a tall target man and a quick goal poacher.
Oxford have already signed a left back come midfielder in Jon Meades.

Soares will be signing for Bury

Marcus Stewart set to be named assistant manager to John Ward at Bristol Rovers. After much searching Ward has decided to look closer to home. Jim Paterson will move into the development role to replace Stewart as he is unlikely to play much part this season after taking up a years option on the contract he agreed with Mark Mcghee against Wards wishes.

Will Griggs is under 24 so wouldn't be free

Doyle has 12th months left on his contract, but wolves need to get rid of his wages. They've made him available for transfer for a nominal fee.

David Lopez has just signed a contract extension

Grigg not going anywhere but the rest would be clasd signings for a team looking to get into the premiership

Your wrong, Doyle is out of contract this summer

Will Grigg is out of contract though

Kevin Doyle has two years left on his contract.

Will Grigg is out of contract but under 24. So Walsall would get compensation as we offered him a new one.

David lopez has not signed yet

Bristol city to announce the signing of Aden Flint from Swindon Town on Monday for around £350,000. I have also been informed by people in the club that they are looking to sign Simon Gillett from Nottingham Forest, Simon church who has just been released by Reading and Lee camp could be a surprise addition as our new goalkeeper having worked with O'Driscol at Notts Forest

ed any real rumours yet for charlton {Ed001's Note - what is a real rumour?}

A rumour with some sort of validity {Ed007's Note - If you validate a rumour it then becomes a fact. To be a valid rumour, the rumour must remain a non-validated fact. Some sort of validity is an oxymoron. There is no middle ground regarding validity, whether it is a rumour or your credit card.}

Ok sorry, I mean a rumour that has a decent chance of happening not just a pipe dream of some fans like the darren bent rumour

25 May 2013 11:14:46
Can confirm that a deal to take Peter Crouch to Bournemouth was a real possibility however now Pulis has left, it is unlikely.

It was unlikely anyway, fair enough we know have rich owners but that doesn't mean were suddenly able to challenge for a premiership player.

Bournemouth are signing nobody. Eddie Mitchell has said so in the press and so has Eddie Howe. We are reigned in with the fair play rules and we spent over 10 million last year all in on promotion and infrastructure. We have been able to prove that as a justified loss so it hasn't affected us but the fa will not let us do it again this year. Unfortunately we are reigned in. All that money and the Russian can't spend it. I fear he will get bored soon.

25 May 2013 19:49:48
Infrastructure like the stadium doesn't count in FL fair play figures. Nothing like £1 million, let alone 10 was spent on the team. Also worth noting that Tubbs only cost 300, not 800k. Don't let a story that gets repeated interfere with the truth.

There is money to spend on the right players and it will happen but it will be a targeted spend when appropriate. Don't believe some of the galactico mentalists who have been posting on here.

Also, expect a large percentage of Bradbury and Groves signings to be shipped out.

^ Spot on!

Rubbish, demin loves the club

mitchell and eh are playing their cards close to their chest on purpose so we don't get a reputation of having millions to spend and then get held to ransom by clubs on the deals we do want to do

Doesn't matter how much money you have to spend - You cannot get players to drop down a league - Think what it says about that players ambition to continue playing

We will sign people but only when players start leaving, said by eddie Howe himself!

Eddie Howe always plays the psychological mind games. By denying they will sign many players it gives them the ability to subdue media frenzy. Bournemouth will spend to build a championship squad and then over the next few years continue to focus on gradual improvement and establishment in the league. My guess would be between five and seven players with the majority having championship experience this season. Likely to be a striker who is a goalscorer in this league

We are not signing anyone lads, we can't spend the money

Yeah of course

25 May 2013 11:13:06
Strong Rumours that the next fortnight will be a very busy one at the Proact with several signings:
this is from what I've heard what team were likely to have come August

Lee, Talbot, Cooper, Cresswell, Smith, Boco, Togwell, McCormack, O'Shea, Doyle, Richards

Subs
Chapman, Townsend, Darikwa, Linganzi, Dickenson, Ball, Gnanduillet

Southend united are poised Paul Benson on a season long loan deal. The Southend born striker, hans't been getting 1st team football at Swindon and wants to move back home

25 May 2013 09:55:40
AFC Bournemouth are speaking to Will Gigg, personally I think he was a one season wonder helped by some really good players feeding him, Walsall should tear up the contract offer, and look to sign a young season by season goal scorer!

25 May 2013 13:23:04
Don't recon we could compete with more established championship sides for him

Macdonald use to play for yeovil so johnson and macdonald are friends macdonald won't leave because he plays dor us and he is going to start alongside arter (who may leave)and o kane so that was just a friendly day out.

25 May 2013 09:49:54
Ian Harte said to be interested in a move back to Carlisle after being released from Reading. Although Greg Abbott has stated he wants pace in the squad he says that his defensive qualities and dead balls will be a tremendous additional to the squad.

I would think Harte would go back to Leeds United to re-unite with Brian McDermott.

Would be a good (re)capture. Cover at left and centre back and would score a few goals.

25 May 2013 08:39:54
Yeovil have made an enquiry about Bristol City defender James Wilson

Yeovil should look for Championship quality defenders. James Wilson inspires no confidence in thier long term prospects.

25 May 2013 08:35:46
Huddersfield have reportedly lost interest in Jamie Patterson after having a £750,000 bid rejected by Walsall.

I don`t know where this information has come from. Huddersfield never comment on any transfers in or out until the ink is dry on a contract. If Walsall fc or players agents wish to conduct their dealings in the media that is up to them. Not the way Dean Hoyle works.

We havnt bidded 750k, it wa 500k and then it went quiet

If they offered that walsall would take it, because even in the second half of the season when we played really well we still only managed to pull 4,000 walsall fans in, we will have to sell our better players to survive, sorry to say it

Walsall only got 4,000 at home because a large section of the support are still angry at Bonser for the rent and selling players on the cheap at least 2, 500 are staying away, but I will say it again walsall do not need to sell as we DO NOT RELY ON ATTENDANCES to fund the playing side of the club, the money comes from advertising and the multiple activities in the bonser suite and the Sunday market

Stefan gamble the chief exec has confirmed that walsall have rejected the bid

Is this the same player that didn't even get into a poor League 1 team of the year. Think you maybe expecting too much. maybe a good league 1 player. can he make it in the Championship.

25 May 2013 18:40:56
Walsall appear to have a car boot sale on sundays that means they are going to be a huge player in L1 next season. No wonder fergie has retired. The kid will be a fool to turn his back on all this. Signing a new contract is inevitable. The saddlers clearly don`t need transfer money and can afford to let players leave for free in their hunt for finishing 9th.

Huddersfield fans seem to be getting touchy lol. Either pay up or go away. If you really want him then put your money where your mouth is. We don't NEED to sell. We aren't in a financial crisis. It's not either 'sell Paterson' or 'go bust'. So make a great offer or stop going about signing him. End of

Lol car boot sale, all of our off field activities are admired by the majority of the football league and generate millions for the club, Walsall are not in debt and are making a profit year after year, the club wants to get promoted next season and Patterson is needed to do that, if Huddersfield want him then the price is 1.2m

If Walsall needed the transfer money then why didn't we sell Will Grigg (20 goal striker) in January, we turned down several offers! he is now out of contract and can leave the club if he wishes

26 May 2013 10:58:47
Huddersfield haven`t uttered a single word about him. All this has come from Walsall. Huddersfield get linked with everyone looking for a move, outside of the prem league. Fact is when you move into the millions of pounds price bracket you bring in a different class of player to a kid with potential who has had a half decent season in a poor L1.

How can you say that league 1 has been poor this season! Because Huddersfield have not been in it, the league has been the same strength for the last three seasons, have some respect for the teams that play in it, you came close to dropping back into it.

Its been poor since over the last 3 seasons Leeds, Millwall, P'boro, Hudds, Sheff Wed, Charlton, Southampton etc. have all gained promotion leaving the only driving forces of L1 as Sheff Utd, MK & Doncaster. Look at who won the play-offs and say that league one wasn't poor this season.

What a disgusting comment, because Yeovil, Doncaster and Bournemouth got promoted the league has been poor, I think you have forgotten where your team has come from, have some respect for other clubs.

Haha, you think I'm a hudds fan purely because I commented about L1 on their rumour. MOT

We don't care who you support, I support a premier league club but even I could not believe that disgusting comment on how poor a league is, show teams some respect, can only come from a wolves supporter!

25 May 2013 09:47:59
Jamaal Lascelles is set to go out on loan next season to Stevenage again where he has a sucessful loan before he is highly thought of by Westley

Hope this is true

Yep agree hope this is true, He isn't used much at Forest (2 games last season) so could be true

Arsenal and Tottenham set to battle it out for David Villa.

25 May 2013 08:35:26
Bryson Is going nowhere as he has signed a new 3 year deal

Contracts don't mean a thing these days, if a bid is beg enough & the club can't afford to turn it down, then anything can happen, or a player want to leave then the club is a no win situation.

25 May 2013 08:33:28
Unfortunately this is true!
Gary Taylor fletcher to rejoin huddersfield town!
The opposite of what dean Hoyle said.
Not a happy bunny
D. C

Never going to happen.

As a Blackpool fan I will be sorry to see GTF go.

But HOW he got another contract playing football beats me.

He must have some incriminating photos of Dean Hoyle with a donkey!

Gtf, we must have money to burn.

Don't worry, he's not going to Huddersfield, he's already in talks with Tranmere

25 May 2013 08:28:49
I would like to clear up the Christian benteke situation that he has been misquoted.

"But if Arsenal did come knocking, are you prepared to battle it out with Villa?

"No. It wouldn't help anyone to start a battle with Villa. Anyway, I do not think I would need to. If the opportunity does arise, I'm sure that we could come to some sort of compromise that would benefit everyone. But I do not have any problem at all staying at Aston Villa for another season. I feel really good here, and they have a lot of faith in me. ""
these are the correct translations!

Thanks for finally making this all clear! :)

Tim pope from port vale linked to move to barnsley

ANY relationto TOM

I remember last transfer window when Popey was linked with about 30 clubs. He couldn't be happier than he is now, had an awful time in Yorkshire before and now is linked with relegation favourites for the coming season? Next we'll hear it's a straight swap with Marlon Harewood.

25 May 2013 14:31:53
Complete rubbish. Please stop these silly Tom pope rumours. He would only leave port vale for a premiership club (which wouldn't Happen) not a struggling championship side.

Why would there be a straight swap with Marlon Harewood? He will no longer be a Barnsley player next season.

'Struggling'? Has the season kicked off early then?

Regardless as to whether we turn out to be a 'struggling championship side' this time we are still a division above and probably will be by the following season when you struggle in league 1

Lets get this cleared up,
We won't be swapping Harewood for pope, we have already let Harewood go.
As for Tom pope you are right he will not leave for a prem club,
Because he won't get an offer from one.
He as a good goal scoring record in a poor division, he as found his level,
As for a struggling championship side,
There is a gulf in class between barnsley and vale.

A struggling championship side ( still championship side ) or a team that struggles to get out of div 2.? Yes just looked your still there. enough said.

Oh dear it's grim up north since the pits closed and people had to cash in their sense of humour. There was a hint of irony in suggesting Harewood, not least because he had been released - it was trying to find something as ridiculous as Pope going to Barnsley atm (Hence "Next. ") Sorry you wanna be Gouighie's mates took it literally

Oooohh you Southerners. or wherever Port Vale is. how do you do this irony, which is just soooooo above us Northern flat cap wearing, whippet loving simpletons?

Where actually is port vale?

It's the second club in stoke and are even worse than they are perish the thought

We are more likely to swap Tom Pope for Marlon Brando. THERE IS NO CHANCE WHAT SO EVER that he will leave his boyhood club for thirty pieces of silver or a whippet pie at Barnsley.

Who needs Tim pope anyway? Would rather get o'grady on permanent

He's not good enough for the championship anyway

Is that paul o grady!

No I think it's tim poop!

25 May 2013 07:33:08
My cousin went to school with Darren Bent still in contact with him said he would love to come back to ITFC!

Get real, maybe when he is 36 and looking for last contract!

Would be very strange if true, isn't this the same guy who want to stay in the premiership & play for england & could ipswich afford his wages?. being a championship club I would doubt that.

25 May 2013 06:32:07
Huddersfield Town are after

James Vaughan (Norwich)
Jamie Patterson (Walsall)
Dale Stephens (Charlton)
Simeon Jackson (Norwich)
Lee Camp (Norwich)

Anyone else you want from norwich?

Forgot to mention town are looking at Rubin rochina

Norwich b side then? anyhow camp and jackson are now free agents and have left the club

I'd take all them! :)

We'll have Pilkington back in your a Norwich fan and offering. ;)

Before anyone has a go I am JOKING ;)

Camp might get an extension here.

I was told on here that Transfer dealings rarely leak out of Huddersfield until the ink is dry on their contract, so let's see then:

Have you signed Vaughan, No
Have you signed Patterson, No
Have you signed Stephens, No
Have you signed Jackson, No
Have you signed Camp, No

Huddersfield leak signings like no tomorrow lol!!!

Camp isn't getting an extension

It's the fans who leak. Not the club.

You can't beat us Huddersfield fans for knowing how to keep the rumour mill turning!

Have Huddersfield actually stated that they're after any of those players other than Vaughan? No, its either paper talk, fans rumours or info from other clubs. How you can possibly say they leak signings like no tomorrow is pathetic

Huddersfield don't leak signings, Vaughan is a stated target, not leaked, the rest is down to agents and sites like this with fans either speculating or making stuff up.

If we haven't signed them then they weren't leaked from an official source. Seem pretty obvious.

I've heard that marlon harewood is training with yeovil in view to being offered a contract. Does anyone else know anymore on this?

Surely yeovil aren't trianing anymore as its end of season?

Surely they are not training now?

He'll be training on his own then, the squad are all on holiday.

Why would he be training at this time, its not even pre-season, its holiday time. Think before you post.

The lads are on holiday until 1st July so this is bs

There all on holiday!

They are training there are 4 trialists atm one of them is marlon harewood

No they are not all away

25 May 2013 01:25:03
Norwich City manager Chris Hughton is set to reignite his interest in Anderlecht forward Dieumerci Mbokani from last season, after he and his scouts have been thoroughly impressed by the Congolese striker this season.

25 May 2013 15:01:35
I can't see him leaving champion league football for at best a mid-table team - can you? Would be a good signing though.

^^ He plays for Anderlecht mate, they're hardly going to challenge for Europe are they? also he has stated a desire to leave Anderlecht and play in Premier League, so maybe that would more of a factor than European football.

Hooper turned down us to play the champions league.

Would be a great signing, looks a lot like Benteke in his ability to make great runs and finish clinically, if we could get a quality CAM to partner with him we could be looking at real quality going forward. And real competition for RVW, think we would need to act quickly as I think West Brom really like the look of him as a replacement for Lukaku

Hooper didn't turn us down for champions league football, Celtic rejected every bid we made.

Dundee United have signed 17 year old Aidan Connelly from Queens Park.

25 May 2013 00:28:18
Norwich in talks with QPR's Adel Taarabt.

Great joke would lo to now where you get em from lo xx

Great player but unless he sorts his attitude out I don't want him any where near norwich

Mr "I have got a big chip on my shoulder." No thanks. We need team players.

Hope not

Have him lazy boy

No chance whilst Qpr would jump at the chance of getting rid of him right now Norwich would be going against the grain to sign a player like him. Adel is a superb footballer but carries far to much baggage and only cares about himself.

You have to agree with all the comments he can be absolutely brilliant in a second but consistently spoils it with his lazy boy attitude and even more frustrating is that pass he does not make to his team mates and then he loses the ball. shame he could have had the world at his feet.

24 May 2013 23:53:50
AS Monaco sign Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez for a combined fee of 70m.

Good ol' Financial Fair Play.

Claudio raineri is playing a blinder, they are not in Europe next season so ffp rules don't apply, expect a lot more mayor signings from Monaco, I've been told they will be spending in excess of 400 mill euros this term but hope to have their squad complete by end of next season and expect immediate success and qualification for champs league. considering psg and Lyon they must have some juicy transfers lined up.

Its 60million not 70 matey
