25 Mar 2010 20:42:09
News from Liverpool courtesy of a young player on the fringes of the first team.

The investment in the club is all but agreed. Hicks and Gillett will lose their majority stake but will hold some share of the club. The reason that nothing is announced is because the price of the club depends on where they finish in the league.

Money will be available in the summer.. not massive amounts, but enough to strengthen the squad fairly significantly. No idea on who may be bought but apparently the main reason Masch and Pepe signed/will sign new deals is because after talks with Cristian Purslow they have been assured of investment in the team.

The stadium build is of key importance to this deal and work will start asap after the 'takeover'.

No idea on whether the new owners see Rafa as the man to take the club forward but one thing is for sure, IF Rafa does go, the replacement will be backed in the tranfer market fully and IF Rafa stays, he will be fully backed.

Don't know who will be taking over, but the Rhone Group have definately had representatives in talks with C.P recently.

Sorry that this seems vague, but this is 100% true – No exageration and no bullsht.

25 Mar 2010 19:42:30
Im afraid to say my hero davie moyes will join rank rotten spl Celtic in may. He has a clause which allows him to talk to them. Gutted. Good luck and god bless moyesy!

25 Mar 2010 19:41:21
Wellington silva arriving at the emirates in the january 2011 transfer window. he was signed last january, but because of FIFA regulations can only move abroad after he turns 18. this exciting prospect will most likely spend a year in the reserves before moving up to the first team.
incidently, denilson signed a new contract this season and will NOT be leaving, despite what some of the denilson–haters seem to be wishing for on this site. he has been quietly consistent for us, playing the most games for us last season, scoring 6 goals this season and generally keeping things simple and tidy, what wenger calls "the sign of class".
no point in signing loic remy. the guy is 6ft and is not what you'd call prolific. he would offer nothing that chamakh wouldnt, and as we'r getting him for free, loic remy talk should cease.
also forget hangeland. there is no way on god's green earth that wenger will pay £10m for a 28–29 year old CB. instead, expect sakho and van der wiel to replace the outgoing silvestre and senderos. new deals for gallas and campbell. merida out to athletico, fabianski out to a german club for £3m and eduardo and vela out on loan next season. green in for £6m
recap: out: senderos, silvestre, merida, fabianski, gilbert, vela (loan), eduardo (loan).
in: green, sakho, vdWiel, chamakh, wellington silva (january).

25 Mar 2010 19:27:10
Arsenal need a centre back, a keeper and a striker. For a keeper, Wenger should snap up Diego Cavalieri from Liverpool which would cost him about £4m.For a centre back, Bruno Alves or Brede Hangeland would be the best choice, Alves costing £5m and Hangeland costing about £10m.And for a striker, with Chamakh a done deal, Wenger should go for Aruna Dindane who is definitely leaving Pompey for about £3.5m.Also, Wenger is lining up a move for Juste Abou.
Any walsall rumours?

25 Mar 2010 19:18:48
Arsenal rumours:
the only players leaving arsenal permanently in the summer will be: Silvestre, Senderos, Fabianski, Merida and Gilbert. only Fabianksi will leave for a fee, the others are out of contract in the summer. loan deals will be done for eduardo, mannone, vela and some youngsters.
the only other possibility would be armand traore leaving in part exchange to PSG if we sign Sakho.

in terms of players coming in, don't expect more than 4 new signings for the first team. these will most likely be: 1 keeper, 2 defenders and Chamakh (free).
in the goalkeeping position, wenger has great faith in the future success of mannone and szczesny, therefore any keeper that comes in will not be young, so as not to block their claims to the no1 jersey. rob green looks a viable option, he will be desperate to leave west ham, especially if they r relegated.
in defence, it looks like sakho will indeed be coming in, arsene has been after him for a couple of seasons now, and will strike this summer. as mentioned, traore may be a makeweight in the deal.
the other defender to come in looks like van der Wiel, though Zapata, Tasci, Subotic and Azpilicueta are also options. likelihood is Subotic will be too expensive, and A'Cueta is short. Zapata may well be the most viable alternative. Campbell and Gallas will sign on, with Campbell retiring next season and joining the arsenal defensive coaching staff.
up front, the whole world knows Chamakh is coming in. this loic remy has also been touted, but previous interest ended as his club demanded a ridiculous fee. with RVP and bendtner already in, chamakh should be a sufficient addition to our firepower.
the other rumour has been the possible signing of felipe melo. although he is quality, i would much rather see an older player come to provide back for song, who is destined to be world class. somebody like marcos senna or diop would fit the bill.
finally a request to my fellow gooners on this site: stop making up crappy rumours about players who are worth in excess of £20m. wenger just won't spend that kind of money on individual players, and im glad about that. we r arsenal, not chelsea or man city. so forget the likes of dzeko, higuain, y toure, balotelli, villa, silva, etc.

It's now 7pm, where's these 3 or 4 new Forest signings you all promised us??

25 Mar 2010 18:52:16
Arsenal summer transfer news:

Goalkeeper:
Manuel Almunia will be sold and Lukasz Fabianski will either be sold or loaned out. Hugo Lloris will most likely be signed from Lyon for £12million. Vito Mannone will be 2nd choice and Wojciech Szczesny will return from loan to play as 3rd choice.
(Lloris/Mannone/Szczesny)

Right–back:
Bacary Sagna will remain as 1st choice however competition will be required with Emmanuel Eboue playing further up the pitch. This will come in the form of Gregory van der Wiel from Ajax for £8–10million, who can play anywhere along the back line. Youngster Adam Matthews will also be signed from Cardiff City for £5million.
(Sagna/van der Wiel/Matthews)

Left–back:
Gael Clichy and Kieran Gibbs will fight it out for a starting place. Armand Traore will move to PSG.
(Clichy/Gibbs)

Centre–back:
Philippe Senderos will leave permanently along with Mikael Silvestre. William Gallas will sign a new deal and Sol Campbell will be retained for a further season. Mamadou Sakho will come in from PSG as Silvestre's replacement for £6million plus Traore.
(Gallas/Vermaelen/Sakho/Djourou/Campbell/Bartley)

Defensive–midfield:
Felipe Melo will be brought in from Juventus for £12–15million to compete with Alexandre Song.
(Melo/Song/Eastmond/Coquelin)

Central–midfield:
Fabregas will remain but both Denilson and Fran Merida will leave. Christian Eriksen will be brought in from Ajax for £6million.
(Fabregas/Diaby/Nasri/Ramsey/Eboue/Eriksen)

Attacking–midfield:
No change
(Rosicky/Wilshere/Arshavin/Walcott/Watt)

Striker:
Marouane Chamakh will come in on a free from Bordeaux. If Wenger feels the need for a 2nd striker then it is most likely that Abel Hernandez will come in from Palermo for £5–8million. Either Eduardo or Vela will leave either on loan or permanently.
(Van Persie/Bendtner/Chamakh/Eduardo/Vela/Hernandez/Sunu)

Leicester to win play–offs

sign waghorn
mid table premiership

25 Mar 2010 16:37:20
Now that Wenger has seen the value of signing the more mature footballer, he will turn his attention this summer to signing Kevin Davies from Bolton. Davies will be available for about £2.5m. He is a goalscorer, a complete pain in the arse to play against and will offer Arsenal something different up front.

25 Mar 2010 16:31:46
Tony Mowbray has been sacked as Celtic manager. Neil Lennon has been put in charge until the end of the season. Downsizing is a possibilty at parkhead following the £2m spent hiring Mowbray, £2m sacking him, transfers spent, the failed £2m robbie keane gamble, and NO CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MONEY THIS YEAR, AND PERHAPS NEXT YEAR ALSO. Expect Jocky Scott to sweep into power in the summer, failing that Neil Lennon to be hired permanently.

Arsenal to sign:

Eden Hazard – 5M
Juste Aboue – 750K

Liverpool:

Stepehen Ireland – 9M (lower price because of lack of playing time this season. A sale last season would have fetched twice that).

Manchester United:

Out: Rooney, Vidic
In: Villa, Smalling (complete)

Chelsea to completely overhaul squad in Summer. Citeh to surprise everyone by only spending 20–30M.

Lennon to take over till end off season confirmed

25 Mar 2010 14:44:46
Good news Forest fans. We are today going to sign four new players on loan. We already have a LB sorted out. I heard from my mate Chris who plays for the reds that three more are following, all from the prem. Apparently Pleat & Pelling have pulled out the rabbit and have arranged for these behind the back of tactically awful Billy Davies. I don't have names yet but at least one is from Portsmouth. Redspak of vital

sigin out goonernd

I'm actually embarrased by one of our own fans! First of all, we don't play 4–3–1–2 now and we won't play it next season either! Our formation is a loose 4–1–2–3 which has brought the best out of Diaby and Fabregas. The fact that we have an abundance of players like Nasri, Walcott, Arshavin, Vela, Rosicky means we have the fluidity to adapt our attacking game on the fly. Wenger likes to play with a central striker flanked by two of the above. Next season this will be Chamakh/Bendtner/Van Persie. It's doubtful any forwards will be signed in the summer, but if Eduardo leaves then Loic Remy (who has stated he is desperate to play for AFC) is likely to be in. Edin Dzeko, David Villa, Gonzalo Higuain – too expensive. No chance! At the back there won't be wholesale changes. As if Wenger would do something as drastic. Reality is that Campbell is likely to be retained for another season as cover (not as coach). Wth Senderos and Silvestre out, replacements will come in. Savic is already a done deal and Sakho and Van Der Wiel are odds on favourites for the other slot. Djourou will also offer some extra cover at CB/CDM. Gallas to sign another deal. Possible sale of Sagna or Clichy if the money is right. If Sagna goes then Micah Richards could be the main man. Felipe Melo is main target for CDM but Witsel and Marcos Senna are options and would be far cheaper. GK depends on West Ham's fate. If they are down in May, then Rob Green will be offered a contract. Arsenal can get him on the cheap thanks to a Premiership clause in his contract. No deal for Joe Hart. Man City have no need to sell, they will loan him out for one more season before he returns as No.1 for both City and England. Hugo Lloris is the more costly option and again his future depends on Lyon finishing in the CL positions (very tight between the top 6 in France right now). Denilson going nowhere, with ramsay injured long term he'll be used as a sub next season.
Cut the crap about us changing half the squad – we could be champions in 6 weeks. Why would we chop and change then?

Owen hargreaves will be on the bench against bolton!

Beckford is due to go on loan to Newcastle for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent deal

25 Mar 2010 13:11:26
Lots of City and Liverpool fans sepculating about whether Mourinho will be there next manager. Forget about it, he will come back to England in a few years, but he wants the Madrid job, for the following reasons;

1) he hates barca where they call him the 'interpreter' from his time under Booby robson and wants to topple them.
2) he wants to be the first coach to win the title in the big three leagues – already done England and Italy, only Spain to go. His ego demands this.
3) His ambition, City can match it but Liverpool certainly cannot in terms of finances.

Stephen ireland to leave city this summer as he is out of favour at city. the most likely destination is liverpool. liverpool also to sign james milner. the reason for this is because martin o'neil will be the new liverpool manager in the summer. he will also attept to try and sign shawcross and defoe. this means there will be a bit more home nation players at liverpool.
