To the gunner who stated: "Finally to the Liverpool and Tottenham fans. you are not big clubs (Tottenham especially) and you will not sign every player underneath the sun. " – You may be able to justifiably slate Tottenham like that, but I really do not know what qualifies as a big club for you if the five times champions of Europe do not. Arsenal have won a grand total of zero European cups and five fewer league titles than the "small club" that is Liverpool. Small clubs are usually selling clubs, like those that lose three of their top players to FC Barcelona and Milan in the course of one year. Who does that sound like? Hmm. Anyway, to the rumours: Robbie Keane was left out of the squad for Tottenham' friendly yesterday, hopefully in preparation for a trip to Merseyside quite soon to meet up with the Liverpool first team that is returning from the preseason Switzerland tour. Argentine fringe player/winger Sebastian Leto will likely moving to OlympiAkos on loan, and there are rumblings about Andriy Voronin returning to the Bundesliga, specifically to Hamburger SV. Finally, the future for Gareth Barry seems very dire as it appears that Xabi Alonso will be staying. I am sure some of you will be pleased with that, and an equal portion disappointed as I am. YNWA.
Heard Solano and Schevchenko on their way to the MLS.
I'm the one that said six weeks ago Arteta staying at EFC (my wife's Spanish and her Uncle has good football connections in Madrid)
Moutinho and young RB from Sporting Lisbon will sign
Fernandes either loan or £6 million. Bent £9 million + a couple from Championship teams. Johnson has all but gone following his behaviour at Preston. Blues want £11 million

More news for the sad Wednesday fans who still believe the takeover. Guess what? The nearest that Geoff Sheard has become to being a 'sportswear tycoon' was when he had the contract to run the Preston North End Club Shop, which folded some years ago after a disagreement with PNE after agreed payments were not made.

Mr Allen who has run Wedneaday out of his pocket for years for which he should have got a lot of creidt but ended up being hounded out of the club for his trouble, is reported to be happy with the deal yet the other major shareholders have not had their questions answered, and not been shown the money, or any explanation as to where the club is going next. How can this be? Poor, poor Wednesdayite, rushing to sell their shares, calling a vote and recommending acceptance without having any information other than being sold the dream of being the next Chelsea. Here's to nothing, Wednesday fans. No budget, no transfers, a bunch of kids on last minute loans and another certain visit to League 1.
  HEARTS FC
Hearts are interested in experienced forward Corrado Grabbi. He will meet with Mindaugas Nikolicius where it is hoped a deal can be concluded.
Hearts also hope to complete a loan move for Bartosz Białkowski. Białkowski who was close to signing was Burley was in charge will join on a initial season long loan with a transfer fee being agreed should Hearts wish to make it permanent.
Hull are close to signing Marlon King, Robbie Savage and Michael Duberry. Lee Martin will be joining on loan.
Brian law's transfer targets have leaked. when the proposed takeover happens second week of August.

He's targeted:
Ian Turner–Everton
Martin Taylor–Birmingham

Anyway.
Liverpool have signed 19 year–old Paris St. Germain forward David N'Gog, that is confirmed.
Now onto the club that matters: ARSENAL.
It now looks unlikely that Falcao or Diogo will sign from River Plate and Portuguesa respetively, so Wenger will turn to either young the Hammers forward Freddie Sears (quite unlikely) or Juve forward Claudio Marchisio (much more likely.) for 3,5 million euros. Gooner youngster Fran Merida will not be going to Juve. Wenger may bid for David Silva, but will withdraw if a bidding war commences. Finally to the Liverpool and Tottenham fans. you are not big clubs (Tottenham especially) and you will not sign every player underneath the sun.

  Chelsea rumours:
Frank Lampard will sign for Inter for £11 million. This will leave Chelsea with a shortage of centre midfield players as Makalele and Sidwell have already left so they will bring in Diego from Werder Bremen for £16 million. Drogba will go to FC Barcelona for £5 million+ Eto'o. Chelsea will also sign Robinho for £28 million after Real Madrid sign Ronaldo. Igor Akinfeev the young Russian goalkeeper will sign from CSKA Moscow for £5 million as Abramovic wants a Russian. David Villa will be the last Summer signing from Valencia as they have said they would let him leave for the right amount and Chelsea are the only team who have that amount of money aruond £30 million. Other players leaving will be Pizzaro, Wright–Phillips, Ben Haim and Shevchenko. There will also be first team call ups for Scott Sinclair and Franco Di Santo.
The fabulous Glasgow Celtic to sign kadlec, Tamas and a mystery south American by end of next week.
G B T P.
Everton are waiting on Tottenham to sign Vagner Love for £20 million, this will allow for Bent to go to Everton for £11 million and Andy Johnson to complete his move to Fulham for 10.8 million.

Moutinho will also sign for Everton from Sporting Lisbon for a fee in the region of 17–18 million pounds before Everton leave for their tour of America.

Lets put a few things straight.

My cousin's father is one of the head scouts at Arsenal, so this is not the usual 'this will happen' mumbo jumbo.

Firstly the pool fans are correct, Mascherano is owned only by Liverpool so all these so called talks are rubbish.

Wenger has asked about both Barry and Alonso tho, he actually wants Alonso but is giving Liverpool the choice. Either sell Alonso at a reasonable price or we will take Barry with Eboue going the other way.

And unfortunately that will just about be it for Arsenal. He has already signed Bischoff pending a tribunal fee and there may be another young unknown player. But that is it.

p. s for some reason, Wenger will stick by Senderos, with Alex Song taking over when he gets back.

Sorry fellow Gooners, not really the news we were all hoping for.
But watch out for both Fran Merida and Carlos Vela – both are fantastic players.
  Hearts

Congo forward Tresor Mputu held discussions with club management on Wednesday night in Germany. According to my source a transfer fee of around £500,000 + add ons has been agreed with his club TP Mazembe.
On the 12th of August E. F. C will be taken over by a German car firm who apparently will bring in new money for transfers and will begin operation Goodison relocation.
folks.
  Ok ppl,
it's bin a while since I last wrote somethin on here, the last one being Arsenal's interest in Kaka, it was spotted in the daily mail under their rumours section. a few days later the player admitted that a team in the English Premier League that He would like to play in was Arsenal. nuff said.
Anyway, I have been handed a list of all Arsenal targets for the 08/09 champain.

Alberto Aquilani (Roma), Miguel Veloso (Sporting Lisbon), Michael Johnson (Manchester City), Roque Santa Cruz (Blackburn Rovers), Mario Gomez (Stuttgart), Raul Albiol (Valencia), Mahamadou Dabo and Blaise Matuidi (both St. Etienne), Wayne Hennessey (Wolves), Yaya Toure (FC Barcelona), Piotr Trochowski (Hamburg), Sami Nasri (OlymPique Marseille), Cristian Zapata (Udinese), Shay Given (Newcastle), Yoan Gouffran (Caen), Artur Boruc (Celtic), Torsten Frings (Werder Bremen), Bafetimbo Gomis (St. Etienne), Daniel Parejo (Real Madrid), Arda Turan (Galatasaray), Andrei Arshavin (Zenit St. Petersburg), Obafemi Martins (Newcastle), Diogo Luis Santo (Portuguesa), Aaron Ramsey (Cardiff City) David Silva (Valencia), Amaury Bischoff (Werder Bremen), Ruben de la Red (Real Madrid), Klaas–Jan Huntelaar (Ajax), Radamel Falcao (River Plate), Gareth Barry (Aston Villa), Niko Kranjcar (Portsmouth), Freddie Sears (the Hammers).

Two players from the above list have signed already, so expect Arsenal to sign 1–2 players more before transfer window closes, A CM and D/DM. When it re–opens in Dec–Jan expect another 2–3 players to also come from that list.

Remember the name.

Scottish rumours, Ross McCormack willsign for Celtc Jan. guarenteed. Most of Celtic's buys will be Jan – as has been in the previous four seasons. Rangers will huff and puff to fill BF shirt and will panick buy Gomis from the Arabs.
As for mickey mouse league – how many teams can actually win the Premier League league in England? 2, the facts speak for themselves – i.e 10 percent of the teams are challengers – feel familiar ;–)
Agreed, the Scottish Premier League is not the best league in the world and to be honest, outside the top two divisions the standard is bordering on desperate, but "the so called best league in the world" is not exactly unpredictable. Guaranteed the champs this year will be either MUFC or Chelsea (Celtic or Rangers up here) and just like us in haggis land, all the rest will be making up the numbers.
You may play in a top league but all the money in Russia will not get you anywhere, so just place it in a big pile and strike a match.

As for rumours, the only guarantee at paradise is that the hoops are seeking a solid defender and until GS trims his squad do not expect another signing (there is plenty to move on). Like every other manager He would love to make that special signing but who? Caddis to push harder this season.
As for the other side, BF's injury will see WS bring in experience to plug the gap (probably a loan deal). Expect to see more of John Fleck this season (a kid with a future).

My opinion, get rid of most of the foreigners and give more talented youth a chance or we'll end up like the Premier League, good to watch but hardly an Englishman in sight.

Good luck to Stevie Kerr at St. Johnstone this season.

C'mon the hoops
