To the guy asking about Barnsley, have heard a rumour that Mr. Cryne is looking to offload the club soon– however he is in no rush and wants a buyer with the best intentions of the club at heart.

Also, Oakwell is to undergo modernisation on the old stands – there was talk of a ground move but if it's cheaper to improve on what's there rather than fork out for a soul–less plastic arena next to the M1 then the club will do that.

Real madrid will deffinetly sign ashley cole in the summer for around 17–22 million.

chelsea have several replacement options

first choice would be the right footed young italian left back from inter santon.he may prove to difficult to prize away from the club tho

secondly is lyons cissokho, again another youn g top talent but having only joind lyon for big money last summer may again prove difficult but could very well happen with chelsea being a much bigger club.

thirdly is portos alvaro pierrira.another top left back, much like ashley cole in terms of physic n positional play, loves to get forward.porto would do business for a bid over ten million.most likly signing

I am an Australian journalist based in Spain working within the Spanish sports media. I have some interesting news for you Liverpool fans. Firstly, Ashley Cole to Liverpool? You guys really need to wake up, I've heard some ridiculous things on here and that's up there with the best of them! He will never become a Liverpool player, if he is to leave Chelsea he will move abroad where he will be out of the constant eye of the English media. Now, onto some real Liverpool rumours. Alvaro Negredo has had a falling out with the Sevilla manager and has once again expressed his desire to join Liverpool. Liverpool were in talks with him and his former club Almeria last summer but Liverpool couldnt afford to stump up the cash. This summer though, Hicks has guaranteed Rafa funds and Rafa may exploit the strained relationship between Negredo and the Seville management to sign the striker. Rafa hopes to add two wingers to the squad, Juan Mata and Joe Cole. Mata seems quite likely as Rafa has been on constant talks with his representitives and Valencia look increasingly likely to have to sell their star players to avoid further financial turmoil. Rafa is a long time admirer of Joe Cole and Rafa could pull off the coup of the Summer if he can manage to sign such an outstanding player on a free transfer. This deal all depends on whether Chelsea and Cole can agree on a new deal and if not, whether Cole would be willing to accept a smaller pay package to play for Liverpool. Jovanovic will reject an offer from Liverpool in favour of a move to Valencia and Chamakh will join Arsenal instead.

Arsenal fans, you got to be serious there will only be a few and cheap signings. Wenger will not let go of cesc well at least not this season. This season they will probably only sign a goalkeeper, a defender maybe even two, if gallas leaves, and a striker who would most likely be chamakh on a free tranfer from bordeaux.

so the summer signings will probably be..
–Joe Hart/Robert Green
–Gregory van der Wiel/Mamadou Sakho (if gallas goes)
–Marouane Chamakh

24 Feb 2010 20:03:32
Mark Hughes will be Celtics new Manager if they lose against Rangers.

Alan mcgregor def moving in summer to epl brum/spurs/arsenal & newcastle if promoted shown def interest. 4million the figure i hear. strong rumour he may never play for gers again as walter smith is now sick of warning him and his barbie doll continuosly about being on front pages, also small matter of a sexual assault charge hanging over him that some say is the reason behind the hiding he got at weeked. (ed, im ok with you editing out the sexual assault bit if this not legal to print)

Ashley Cole to Liverpool at the end of the season. 100%. Will be forced out at Chelsea. Move will be financed by the sale of Mascherano. Keen to partner Glen Johnson for England and LFC. It's gonna happen la!

24 Feb 2010 16:30:35
I like the sound of the Darius Vassell to Leeds on loan rumour, but can't see Uncle Ken paying his high wages personally.Still fingers crossed it would be a good bit of business. Any other Leeds loan news out threr guys?

24 Feb 2010 16:33:34
I see a newspaper story today published on VILLA going to M UTD.
I posted this rumour twice before about David Villa joining Man United and people then Said that they didn`t believe me as I say he will join and partner Rooney next season, and Berbatov will join Barcelona. Also David Silva will join Barcelona from Valencia as well. And Finally Joe Cole will join Manchester City 101% TRUE INFO.

24 Feb 2010 16:55:23
Mourinho will join Man City. He will return to England as he has said before and as Joe Cole is out of contract he will sign Joe as one of he`s first signings.

24 Feb 2010 13:36:11
Can anyone please tell me rumours about arsenal signings that are most likely?
Also I have heard alot that Robert Green is our most likely option as he is a great goalkeeper and has plenty of premier league experience (which I believe is vital).
So can anyone tell me the most likely gk that arsenal will sign?
If Cesc is going to go, if so who will replace him? Someone we already have or someone we can buy?
I hope Gallas goes so that we can sign Gregoery Van Der Wiel from Ajax.
Anyway would love to hear who are the most likely ins and outs of Arsenal this coming summer. :)

Joe Cole could not have timed his contract expiring any better! As clubs will need to focus on complying with the homegrown players rule, he will be a popular guy this summer. As he will not command a transfer fee, his agent will hawk him out to thte highest bidder. This will rule out West Ham. He may love the club, but A) they couldn't afford his wages B) their position in the Premiership is far from certain.
This will no doubt leave Arsenal and Tottenham in pole position as the player will not be keen to move north. City, Utd and Liverpool will all be interested, but one of the 2 London clubs will be his likely destination. There is a chance he could stay at Chelsea however, if he does then he will be laughing all the way with his wages being pushed towards the JT bracket!

Ashley Cole – if the rumours are true that he will be bombed out in the summer, then expect a bidding war from the 2 Spanish clubs. Real are more likely to be the destination for this arrogant idiot however. Inter and AC could both offer a lifeline as its highly unlikely that he'll move to another Premiership club. Utd don't need him, Arsenal would never take him back and Liverpool couldn't raise the money. City will no doubt have a sniff but Chelsea will not want to do business.

Joe Hart – has stated his preferred destination would be Birmingham, but if Arsenal came in for him, he's unlikely to turn them down. Champions league football and a realistic chance of winning trophies is hard to resist for a young player who aims to cement his place as England's No.1!
Wenger may see him as too risky an option though. GK is one area where Arsene does like a bit of experience in!

Comrades!
Much merriment is caused by a lot of the transfer suggestions on here. I can assure you that in my beloved Liverpool's case, work along the lines of replcing a lot of the non–homegrown players with homegrown ones. Basically restructuring the squad so that it has a better balance to comply with impending FIFA/UEFA legislation. Do not be fooled into thinking that the new rules are the final ones. These will be increased over coming seasons and will eventually end up that a minmum of 6 players on the pitch must be ‘homegrown'. Again, do not be fooled into thinking that the big clubs will oppose this, Red Lenin knows for a fact that they don't – they all support it. Therefore when you list all these non–homegrown players as being Anfield–bound, the likes of Mata, Villa, Aguerro etc etc, name the non–homegrown that will be got rid of and also in your lists make sure that the majority of players you list are homegrown – we have a lot of restructuring to do.

Moving on to transfers, Joe Cole has been a serious Rafa target for over 2 years, maybe he finally gets his man this time? Another is Aiden McGeady. Rafa believes he can tame his off–pitch behaviour. Outbound? Babel unless he produces the goods by the end of the season. Aurelio also. Lucas however is going nowhere. Rafa sees him as a big big star in 2–3 seasons time. To be fair, he has improved this season – he was dire now he is just awful. Unless you were told he was Brazilian you would never know. He's like a cross between a donkey and a tractor.

Onwards!
Red Lenin

Mate i think you need to sort it out? 50m for a player nearing 29, if a club puts a price tag on a player ie (Villa 50m) or (Rodwell 30m) it does not mean that is the price they will end up going for, its just their club trying to up the bid slightly, A realistic price is 30m (as the papers are stating), it will not be more than that unless City start bidding!

If he went for 30m then 55m for him and Silva is not that unrealistic is it?

I have heard that Manchester United have made a bid of 25.6 million plus Macheda for David Villa, i do not know if this is a recent bid or a bid from last summer? But it definitely happened.

Can anyone else clear this up?

Arsenal summer transfers:

Marouane Chamakh will sign for free from Bordeaux.
If a current striker were to leave (Bendtner/Eduardo/Walcott), then Loic Remy of Nice will be targeted.
A realistic goalkeeping target is Joe Hart from Manchester City.
A central defender will be signed, most likely Stefan Savic, but hopefully someone with a bit more experience.
A number of youngsters will also be targeted, Adam Matthews (Cardiff City), Raheem Sterling (QPR), Pablo Sarabia (Real Madrid) and Christian Eriksen (Ajax).

24 Feb 2010 03:50:33
Fernando Cavenaghi of Girondins Bordeaux will be a summer target of West Ham. You heard it here.

––––––––––Ashley Cole–––––––––––

There is a high Possibility that Cole will be forced out of Chelsea in the summer, as Roman Abramovich is hoping that his transfer will act as a deterant to the other Chelsea players to not tarnish the club reputation (He won't allow Terry to go, so is hoping the cole transfer works instead).

Should Cheyrl Cole have decided to divorce him, then Ashley will look to moving abroad, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter Milan all expressing interest. I personally believe that Cole will either choose Madrid, as David Beckham has given the club a brilliant review to the left–back and Cole would love to be a part of the Galaticos era, with Madrid being quite weak in the left back area. People will think that Cole would prefer Inter to be back with Jose Mourinho, but remember that Cole did not have that lisence to push forward and get into the opponent's half under the "special one" and would therefore believe Madrid is more suited to his style.

However, should Cheyrl give him another chance (WHY??) then he will also look at options in England with Liverpool and Man City being interested in the England left–back.

Chelsea, to replace cole, will either look to Zhirkov to prove his fitness and become the club's new full time full–back (watch over the coming weeks; with Cole out with an ankle injury, Zhirkov will be tried there to prove he can play the position) However, should he prove to be not good enough, the club will consider splashing the cash and bring in Phillip Lahm from Bayern Munich, and would most likely use Bosingwa in the deal as Ivanovic has established himself as the first choice right–back.

Thanks for reading
Mitch

RE :Pompey will be rescued by Friday. The New Zealand consortium are now front runners to complete a deal by noon of Friday and have agreed to waive the parachute money to pay off debts. They have accepted that Pompey are down, and will work on restructuring the club and moving the club to a new stadium within 10 years. They have given 3 years for Pompey to be back in the Premiership too.

What a load of nonsense. Portsmouth are 60 million in debt and as such will not be accept by the Football League, thus means they can't play in the Championship. If the money can't be found Portsmouth will follow Cork City and be totally wound up.

Nigel Clough is strongly considering signing Oxford United's James Constable and Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman during the summer.

24 Feb 2010 01:09:36
Darius Vassell is set to leave Turkish side Ankaragucu, and sign on–loan for Leeds United.

The deal will be made permanent come the summer.

PLEASE PLEASE tell us your source, i would absolutely love us to get them.

Jose Mourinho will be the next manager of MCFC. This is why inter signed Mcdonald Mariga, who was clearly a target of man city, but failed due to work permit not being granted. In the summer he will be bought from Inter by MCFC, along with other inter players such as balotelli and maicon, building a squad for Mourinho to work with.
