Afc Bournemouth Director of football is in talks with burnley over a player being sold or brought in more to follow can't say till morning because of agents

Well this covers a multitude of evils...

Bearing in mind links between Bly-B'mouth there could well be something going on. Most likely to be either Pugh to Burnley or some youngsters from Bly to B'mouth on a season long long though.

Hardly earth shattering....

Interesting if true that bournemouth and burnley on verge of deal, is it player 'in or out' or swop and cash? Bartley is the only player I think afcb are interested in and would be more then welcome back at dean court, pugh and partington would be my considered targets for burnley. If pugh does leave then the matt ritchie rumours will start as he is only possible replacement (according to all the recent interest). With chairman mitchell telling other whinging clubs to 'mind there own business' about bournemouth's high spending, this suggest another big deal is on it's way.

There's a surprise, I'd say Pugh is only possibility

Matt Tubbs is being allowed to move on - loads of clubs want him on loan but they want cash - also Pugh being trailed by Howe and O'Driscoll for Burnley & Forest.Tubbs also on Notts County radar as well as Gillingham

I wonder how long
groves will last before
he gets the sack
or cherries go pear shape
like pompey

Eds, is there any truth in Reading going in for West Ham's Carlton Cole? {Ed003's Note - Not heard that}

No way is cole coming to reading

On bbc website guys

Calton cole is completing a 5m pound move this weekend, just agreeing personal terms...

I saw this on the bbc red button football section but i doubt its true coz it was just in the gossip coloum

Not for £5million. He used to be good but has since lost it.

Only happen if WHU get Carroll

They are in talks with cole 5 million tabled and hope to sign by end of transfer window was in sky and in mirror

I would be very surprised if this happened, he's to similar to roberts and the pog.

Brian McDermott would not waste money on Carlton Cole, the media keep commenting on reading wanting to spend our 'billions' but this is not the reading way, which just shows how much the media know about our club!

"They are in talks with cole 5 million tabled and hope to sign by end of transfer window was in sky and in mirror"

Oh dear, your a bit naive aren't you. Don't believe everything you read in fact believe none of it. this is a complete load of rubbish. Just wishful thinking on west hams part

Cole to Reading? No ta

Cole to Reading not gonna happen. Oversea sources have confirmed that English Premier League side Reading are more than half way through to reaching an agreement with Olympique Marseille over the transfer of Ghana forward Jordan Ayew.

Brian has denied the Ayew tranfer said he knows nothing about it. Also carlton cole is complete garbage why would we need another striker when we have roberts, pog, alf and hunt? then if need be we can bring churchy if he goes on loan and sheppard back aswell

Only happen WHU sign berbatov

We need a striker

We need another striker because right now we only have two prem quality strikers Roberts and The Pog. We don't know how Hunt and Alf will fare. Bare in mind Kaf was playing league 2 football 2 years ago and Church is hardly cover.

The Marseille President has come out and said that the deal for Ayew is nearly done.

Few rumours here:

Marvin Emnes is interesting Swansea.
Jay Bothroyd and Ross Barkley will join Sheffield Wednesday on loan deals.
Arsenal looking at Jesus Navas.
West Brom have told Marc Fortune he can go out on loan after a couple of new arrivals.
Thomas Ince is catching the eye of a number of premier league sides.
Man City turn their attention once again to Cavani of Napoli, with Adebeyor and Santa Cruz been shown the exit door.

Fortune's going nowhere

Couldn't see fortune going out on loan
Looked class against Liverpool with a good partnership with lukaku and would keep the good competion for places thatch need to keep our players playing there best

Cox, gone, woods going, rosenberg not fully fit yet, fortune wont be going out on loan,or sold .

Can't understand all the fuss about Cavani. I've seen him play several times, and he has always looked distinctly average. No great pace or tricky footwork, and his finishing is atrocious.

Lovely hair though.

No 1 they will sign there targets before the window shuts. to get them in the squad for sunderland

Did I honestly just read that Cavani's finishing is "atrocious"!? Ridiculous statement after scoring 49 in 68 over the last 2 Serie A seasons!

If we're talking about over rated players, Rooney is definitely number one. Cavani is quality and so is falco

Not fortune thats gone its odemwingie

Odemwingie is injured so I doubt that.

24 Aug 2012 20:38:02
Paolo Di Canio is targetting 3 signings before the end of the transfer window, a goalkeeper, Left Back, and a striker. The goalkeeper could be Steve Mildenhall, who started his career at Swindon, and is out of favour at Millwall. Thought he wold like a move home at this late stage in his career

Darren ward from Millwall should sign 'SOON'!

Yeah heard about Ward, any other potential names?

Source about Mildenhall? Would be decent back-up to be honest, although i thought we was just going to dip in the loan market like last season if there was an injury to Foderingham

After watching swindon play mk dons today they definitely need a decent striker but where have all the fans gone?i looked on the bbc sport website earlier and it stated that there were 18,000 fans there where in fact they actually added 10,000 but to be honest we should be getting bigger crowds,COYR

Thought Collins was a bit unlucky on another day he would have scored, and why are we obsessing about a striker, there's goal in that team, from everywhere. I heard Ward is coming.

eds have liverpool got any interest in Nolito or Gatian from Benfica? {Ed001's Note - I am not sure, there is someone from Benfica Liverpool showed interest in, but I can't remember who it was. I haven't had time to keep notes the last couple of years, I really need to sort out something.}

I think it might be griezzmann

24 Aug 2012 19:10:49
Gabriele Angella, Fernando Forestieri and Neuton all expected to join Watford on season-long loans from Udinese.

We have already signed loads of loan players

^^^ Makes no difference. Watford paper reckons they could very well be imminent

It doesn't mean we can't sign any more? International loans are regarded by the FA as permanent transfers so we can bring in as many from Udinese as we want.

This is true

100% true. Negotiations started in July for the brazillian defender.

100% false. Neuton is Brazlian, would need a work permit to play in UK and doesn't meet the requirements for one.

You know what requirements these are? No! Shush

"You know what requirements these are? No!"

Yes! He needs to have played in at least 75% of his country's competitive international matches in the previous two years. Neuton doesn't have any international caps at all.

Or we could just get the permit under the exceptional talent ruling - which he would get !

Forza Watford {Ed003's Note - Would those remits not be for a permanent signing? }

I believe Neuton has an Italian passport

Its happened now

A club have put a bid in for david
worall but bury fc are'nt naming the
club. source official bury website.

There is a report that Crawley have made an approach re Worrall

Crawley Tow, deal to be completed by Tuesday

They cant be cmpleting it on tuesday, worrall has said he wants to play his 2 years at bury and then possibly extend. And besides, the club are turning down all offers for him..

Keep your hands of our best players Barks,in any case he's out injured for up to a month,so what's the point in buying a player who is crocked?.You should know better than anyone how it can affect smaller clubs when other clubs systematically asset strip last last season when you were at our club.

Dream on Dreamy Crawley Town, the lad is going nowhere in the transfer market or on a football pitch as he's crocked. He has already that he doesn't want to move down south as he has a young family to consider.I think Barks is a hypocrite if he continues to asset strip our club given his moaning last season when the same thing happened when he was our boss.

Barker is not even a good manager i was glad to see him go

24 Aug 2012 18:48:33
York city are trying to bring in wrexham striker danny wright before the close of the transfer window

Why would Wrexham sell wright? Morrell has already said we need another striker. And anyhow he's not league 2 standard

24 Aug 2012 17:26:44
ED, Any idea who the Premiership striker is going to Coventry some time this week?

Either Chris Wood or Alex Nimley

My guess is the Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford

I think its more rubbish how many times have we heard this b4

Chris Wood is going to Portsmouth,he knows the manager well from his west brom days

Not nimely he's being lined up by a Low prem team

It's Billy Sharpe.

Idc who it is as long as he can fire in the goals

24 Aug 2012 17:19:29
Watford are circulating the names of Yeates, Jenkins, Iwelumo to League one and two clubs hoping to offload before the window closes.

The same Yeates who has played a part in every game under Gianfranco? The same Iwelumo who has made an impact in every game he's come on in? Both these players have a big part to play this season even with the new faces - the likes of Murray cant play 50+ games at 18 and still remain influential. Jenkins on the other hand may very well be on his way out. Would expect Forsyth and Buaben to follow.

By October Watford will only have 3 players in he match day line-up from last season. Murray, Hogg and Taylor

Yeates and Iwelumo will go if takers can be found, irrespective of involvement so far. Agree with comment 2, although would expect Eustace to stay involved

Taylor will go, theyl keep nosworthy I think but with angella hall and neuton pudil and cassetti joining where does Taylor have a place? Murray will stay. Maybe Hogg if he's lucky

Taylor will stay, he's played well so far. Hogg will obviously also stay, he's played a key role so far in Zola's system.

Anyone saying hogg will go, you all don't know what you're talking about, he's 100% staying

Taylor will definitely stay, he suits the new style of play better than nos as he is better on the ball so nos will be more likely to go than taylor but still unlikely. As the person before said Hogg will definitely not be going as he is an integral part of the new system. Yeates has played well so far and played in every game so dubious whether he will be going and Iwelumo has been on top form so far so wouldn't think he would be leaving either

Yeates and Iwelumo all started on saturday so i doubt they will leave

No way will Nosy go, he is a rock in defence, youngish, is fairly confident on the ball and controls the back four.

He's not youngish, he's 31, but he is a quality player so for that reason will stay.

Ipswich have contacted qpr regarding Rob hulse, Rob Hulse, supposedly a Loan move.

Hope not, hulse is well past it now,5 years ago maybe

I heard this aswell but didnt believe it, but it does seem likely..

If fit Hulsey is still one of the best target man in the Championship, and he has always scored his fair ratio of goals. Good to partner Chopra as well.

This is cresswell's last game for town as he will sign for villa next Tuesday, and Jewell will bring in a defender from Sunderland.

HULSE is no better than Scotland.get real mate.!

Don't believe you about Cresswell, but oh well he scored an own goal today

Blair Adams?

This is true believe me

I heard this aswell! must have some truth, got it off a steward though! so could be wrong

Spoke to cresswell yesterday and he told me he is not leaving ipswich

24 Aug 2012 17:11:21
any Carlisle United rumours?

Heard the jose baxter deal is back on watch this space

Didnt Jose Baxter fail a medical though? That was a few days ago, why would it be back on?..

Who even says he had a medical at the club? would be a good signing if fit.

24 Aug 2012 16:23:11
Lucas Biglia to sign for norwich by monday evening. The sought-after playmaker wants to experience premier league football and see how he takes to it, so a loan with a team he will get plenty of first team action with seems to be his top choice

I hope so ! looks a good player

Probs not since we got tettey

Tettey and lucas biglia are two different type of players, we are after both!

Loaning Vaughan to Huddersfield so we can get the partnership established before buying Rhodes and taking Vaughan back, its a no brainer for NCFC

24 Aug 2012 17:03:05
Burton are interested in giving a trial to goalkeeper Rob Burch, who is currently without a club after being released by Notts County.

24 Aug 2012 16:18:08
James Vaughn signs season long loan to Huddersfield

Great signing. If we get Simon church as well then Rhodes stays with the terriers then watch is go.

Get Church on loan as well so those 2 donkeys Novak and Lee won't feature much! Hopefully sign Quinn and Montgomery from Sheff Utd to beef up the midfield as they are skint!

If we manage to keep him fit then he should be a key signing.. We need pace & power up top to compliment Rhodes & he has both in spades! UTT!!

Town awseome v a very very poor Burnley side, again Jordan is the man Burnley think they can keep him quiet but no........2 chances 1 off the bar & 1 slams into the back of the net.....will score 30 goals for Town this season, Blackburn, Fulham, Wigan & whoeve else keep your money he's not for sale...............the boy is class.

When does Jordan Rhodes become proven at a "Higher levell". 2 starts,2 goals- and he o nly had 2 kicks! He scores when he wants....

Excuse me, three starts (one at international level) = 3 goals. Not bad for a "Division One" player.

There was a rumour going about Glasgow that Rhodes will be signing for Celtic on Thursday once CL has been confirmed

Hail hail

Marco1888

24 Aug 2012 15:45:31

Lee Cook has Joined Leyton Orient on a 5 Month deal. Great signing!

Expect Russell Slade to make one more signing before Friday's deadline, with an experienced striker top of his agenda.
Lack of goals is a huge worry for Slade at present.

CTFC set to sign Brice Ntwambe from Birmingham on loan

24 Aug 2012 14:48:22
Chesterfield are looking at a possible loan move for David Soma from Leeds United .

Hes out injured not sure when he will be match fit, could be a couple of month yet

Cant see that happening with him still been out injured

No chance not even fit and out till at least Oct

He is still on the long term injury list & Neil Warnock has expressed his desire in wanting Somma in his squad because of lack of transfer funds.

Hes injured

When Somma is fit he's an above average player to have on the bench at this level.

He also sits very well in Mr Bates pay structure

24 Aug 2012 14:32:39
Portsmouth are lining up a move for Blackburn midfielder Amine Linganzi. Yeh right because they always sign great players from Blackburn

Could be the new Mokoena

They need anyone they can get a the moment

Sure do. Only got 17 players One now suspended and about 3 or 4 of them are injured.

24 Aug 2012 14:13:24
James Vaughan to sign for huddersfield on loan with jordan rhodes going to norwich for a fee in the region of 5.5-6.0 million

Vaughan has signed but to play with Rhodes not instead of him!

Jordan not the quickest, not the most skillful and not the bravest but boy does he know where the net is, he is a class act at any level & will score goals whoever he plays for.....Service from Town last season wasn't great & still scored 40 goals....for the doubters thats more than Rooney, more than RVP & about 10 times more than Torres.....Go JR

I know where the net is, attached to posts and crossbar

Laughable comparing rhodes scoring to Torres and rvp

Laughable I agree, Jordyn Rhodes 48 goals in 52 games, Torres 5 goals in 35 games in a team full of world class players providing world class service..............laughable comparing the 2 I totally agree.

24 Aug 2012 14:11:07

24 Aug 2012 14:04:47
Charlton player Leon Clarke has been in talks with Millwall over a transfer away from the valley, the deal is believed to be in the region of 200k

You must be joking !? We can do a lot better than him 4sure?!

Hopefully he can be used for the n'guessan deal

Never going to happen

We should be looking at strikers like Simeon from Norwich! Leon Clark who is he ???

I think Leon Clarke will be good for the Lions PDC rated him highly, he has a prickly temperament but all good strikers do. UTL

If PDC rated Clark that highly then why did he 'let him go'?

Ermmm! Are you serious you don't know why Clarke was let go!? Maybe because he refused to speak to PDC and grabbed and pushed him!

Would be a great signing for us , proven goals over and has a turn of pace too

Ha ha ha. Clarke has a great turn of pace??? Stop it your killing me

24 Aug 2012 14:00:54
After completing the signing of Cassetti watford are looking to bolster there squad more with the signings of both defender Angella (Udinese) and Belgium wonder kid Geoffrey Mujangi Bia. (standard) It is expected that Udinese will buy Geoffrey Mujangi Bia before loaning him to us

Bia signed from Standard Liege to be followed shortly by 3 further Udinese loanee
players Angella,Forestiere and Neuton to add to the cosmopolitan flavour evolving at Watford. COYH.

Mujangi-Bia signing already confirmed on a season-long loan from Standard Liege with the option to buy next year.

blackpool beaten to signing of ishmael miller by middlesbrough. talks ongoing with dobbie. phillips to leave but ince to probs stay and baptiste to defo stay.

Boro can have him, dobbie not likely, phillips, ince and baptist to stay

I think Miller will prove to be a classy signing, Has never fulfilled his obvious potential, but then has never had consistent game time. Am going to Gillingham Tues, hope he tears them apart

25 Aug 2012 14:20:46
swansea to sign 6m rated boro striker emnes . boro will use funds to bring in steve morison albert adomah kim ojo

I'd snap Swansea's hand off 6m for emnes! Imagine what mogga could do with that. IF it don't go straight in gibbos pocket of course!

Gibbo is the best thing to have happened to us. if it goes in his pocket then it's all he deserves, if it wasnt for him you'd be at victoria park

Wasn't having a go at gibbo mate just stating a fact that if we did sell we'd have to replace his goals n if there's no money poured in that's not Gunna happen is it?? Sorry if I hurt ur feelings though pal!

24 Aug 2012 13:52:45

Simeon Jackson to join Millwall from Norwich on a season long loan

If true then that would be 'GREAT' For the 'wall'! Believe IT when IT happens?? COYL

That would be a 'CLASS' signing but i really cannot see it happening? Prove us all wrong KENNY!!

I wish,I wish,I wish, HOPE SO!?

Love to see him down the den would be a great signing

Hope so, but wages could be a problem?? If true? we will see!

I really cannot see this happening i'm afraid!.But I would really like to be 'WRONG'!

Wont happen, norwich dont have many strikers left

Pretty sure jackson is still on small wages, don't think he was offered a new contract yet.

I would have thought that if Morison was a 'Sub' against Fulham that must mean that Norwich 'DO' have enough strikers??? you tell me, Norwich fans! Please!

I heard from a source and I don't know how true this IS? That when Morison signed for NCFC he was on17K A WEEK?! So how much is Jackson 'ON'??

wolves have given 13m to stale solbakken for his transfer kitty with only a week left.

wolves want:

winger christian bolanos

left back Bryan Oviedo

both from Copenhagen (stales old team)

centre back Georg Margreitter from Austria Wien
---------------------------------------------------

i wrote this yesterday and wolves have signed margreitter and will sign the rest before the week ends

I doubt they will get Oviedo

Shame he came from Siena

Margreitter has signed, already spawning lots of Pizza puns!

The player is called Bryan from Oviedo

Our interest in Bolanas has diminished since the signings of Sako and Boukari.

24 Aug 2012 12:42:07
Macclesfield want to sign Mansfields George Pilkington

He has only just signed for Mansfield so I really doubt he is on the move any time soon

24 Aug 2012 12:41:47
Callum McManaman due to sign for Burnley for a season loan with option to buy for 1M at end of season

Also Burnley to sign either Brett Pitman or Matt Tubbs both valued at 750,000

Prefer Tubbs instead of Pitman. Who is the most mobile?

Option to buy is not there... Wigan wont sell.

Callum McManaman good player but not worth 1M.About 800k.

24 Aug 2012 12:18:53
crystal palace fc to move for Plymouth keeper Jake Cole before the transfer window closes

Nah he wont go there hes argyle's first team goalkeeper so he wont leave

Do we really need another keeper? Price is a good back up to Speroni.

Not gunna happen

U can have him. i would take 20,000 for him....hes pants!! Jamie

And yet another loss for the greens, brent get the funds out! bring back sturrock!

How is he pants? ke kept us up last season! yea theres better keepers but hes devoted to club and trys his best!

He made as many errors as he did good save's. Check his stats. Rubbish keeper

Well hes obviousley not rubbishe if a championship clubs chasing him ?

If they are chasing him its because they need someone to warm the bench on reserve games lol

24 Aug 2012 12:33:42
As a regular Sligo Rovers supporter I am not surprised at the rumor doing the rounds here that Cookie is trying to sign Romanuld Boco for Accrington he is a right sided player who can play rb, rm or even as striker. Sligo are currently top of the table. The league finishes in October so expect a move then.

Sligo Red

Saint reported to want olympics star maya yoshida from vvv-venlo for £2-3million

24 Aug 2012 12:24:37
Apparently we're linked with Ryan Dickson of Southampton. Very good left back, got in League 1 team of the year a couple of seasons back before Saints brought him. We'll have to give him a warm welcome if we pick him up.

Who has been linked with Dickson?

Sorry which team are you referring to?

24 Aug 2012 12:24:17
Millwall will sign Doncaster's James Coppinger for around £400,000 after he rejected a move to Barnsley

DON'T believe this for a second i'm afraid!,KJ dosen't sign players over 30yrs old,and we have enough attacking midfield players already Thanks!

Nonsense! What would Millwall fans prefer,a nother descent 'STRIKER' ie Jackson from Norwich,or yet another attacking midfielder?? !!

We don;t need him!

Coppinger & Jackson would be great if that happened, play offs here we come (if only)

Jackson a BIG 'MAYBE' WAGES?? We don't need coppinger!

Jam coppinger signed for barnsley on a 4 year contract

So copps has signed til he's 35? Don't talk silly

If Coppinger rejected us when he said he wants to live near his family then why would he live in London?

24 Aug 2012 11:34:20
Middlesbrough FC have officially signed Ishmael Miller on a seasons long loan...God help us

Can be a real hand full if you can keep him fit

The problem Miller has at forest is 3 fold. A, everyone knows his wage, B, he's seen as a schteeve mcclaren problem, C, he's never fit! Apart from that its been a good deal!

Agent 279

At least it's only a loan man, there's always a silver lining!

And Miller did have his best spell under Mowbray previously so maybe he'll be able to get the best out of him.

Give the boy a chance mate, you never no. UTB

Its a good signing. a strong physical striker who can hold the ball up. he may not have a great goals per game ratio, but his hold up play is good and he's a real handful. why not give the lad a chance before you make negative comments, i bet you dont even go to the matches!

Not convinced about miller surely they are better free agents than him hopefully we can get some use outta him but have my doubts

Ish was told early doors that he had no future at Forest so he switched off ! Look at my "100"%" post on forest rumours to see ,i`m in the know. You`ve got a good `un with a point to prove. 20 goals a season ? ...its a stick-on

Middlesbrough are paying 30% of Millers wages and have the option to sign him on a free at the end of the season. Dorrans will be Mowbrays final signing of the season!

I'd love Dorrans but can't see it happening.. Another CM? Really?

Texting Rumours has come to a Stop. Has anyone out there got any Information. Is NGuessan going to Charlton.??

Yes sometime next week, whoever will pay 150-200K!!

Clear some room in your sick bay.

We bided just under 50k for n'guessan and I know for a fact that we and Wednesday won't pay 150-200k considering mil wall said we could have him for free 4 months ago

Hit a snag as millwall have accepted better offers for him
source: national newspaper

Looking unlikely even though it's his preferred move

It's in the players hands, he wants a move to Charlton but you've accepted better offers. We know he wants to come to us so we're just sitting it out. I cant see him moving to Sheffield (for purely non football reasons).

The player has all the power. Millwall may have accepted better offers from other clubs, but if the player doesn't want to go to any of them, then he won't go. Then Millwall will have to decide whether to keep him, and keep paying him not to play, or accept the offer from the club he wants to go to.

Simon church on loan

Really helpful that mate, heard my club ITFC are in for him though.

To whom is Church (Reading) going on Loan?

Off to Huddersfield to replace Blackburn-bound Rhodes.

ishmael miller on his way to boro on a season long loan from nottingham forest.

24 Aug 2012 11:02:57
Danny Webber interested in a move back to old club Portsmouth where he will get regular football, he will sign a one month rolling contract

Could do worse, he wasn't match fit last time but has great pace and should thrive at this level

I would be very happy with that we need anyone we can get our hands on at the moment and he can score goals

Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio has said he could bring up to 3 players in to bolster his squad before the end of the transfer window. One is a striker, and the other 2 are believed to be a right-back and a left-back, all players STFC are looking it are from Chapionship or higher according to Jeremy Wray, any names?

Heard they are in talks with nicky marnard and jordan spence di canio using his whu links

No Chance of u getting Caddis. Hes wanted by Ipswich and Birmingham, very much doubt he will go to league 2

Maynard is in talks with Leeds so that wont happen

OK ed an update from Hurworth for all Middlesbrough fans. Harry Kewell still has a house nr Wetherby and would happily sign for boro. The talk is £1.5k a week which is affordable, trouble is mowbray does want to clear out McDonald first. On the Heskey rumour it's true that he's been to Hurworth and met Tony but Boro's first choice was Fuller, 2nd choice Miller. The Kuwaiti work permit issue Forest have had may slow the Miller deal and Boro also want him for next to nothing. I'd say Kewell is 80% likely, Miller 50%. Keep your eye on the longer-shots, these would be Sammi Ameobi and Connor Whickham (both possible loans). Neither of these are particularly likely at the moment but Boro have spoken with both clubs.

Harry Kewell 1.5k ha ha ha
that lazy so and so won't even get out of bed for that!

Anything on another winger and defender? castelan, bikey etc...

Kewell for £1.5k a week? He wouldn't accept £1.5k a day, never mind a week.

If u wer to post 3 minutes later than u did n checked Ssn u would have found that boro have already signed miller on a season long loan so if I wer u I'd look for a better and quicker source n Kewell is training with stoke city while they take a look at him as reported n confirmed by tony pulis 3 days ago

Harry kewell isn't training with stoke, kewell turned up because he thought a trial had bin organised, which wasn't the case.its abit hard for kewell to be training with stoke when for the last week he spent three days at BORO with fuller.fuller wanted a two year deal which BORO weren't willing to give, charlton offered him a year with the option of an extra year based on appearances.

My appologies. Just checked up on Kewell at stoke n hats off to ya ya right bout that 1.

Saw in ladbrokes a slash in the price to keep Chris Iwelumo at the hornets. Maybe were in for Brett Pitman again?

Iwelumo for Pitman in straight swap - Iwelumo had very successful loan spell at Ashton Gate two or three seasons ago.

Rotherham will confirm the signing of Stuart on a 2 year deal tonight or tommorow morning and he is expected to be on the bench for tommorows game at Chesterfield. Also Evans wants defensive cover and has targeted Swindon ex-captain Paul Caddid after a bust up with Di Canio left him transfer listed.

No way would Caddid play for Evans and a L2 which is why he is going to Birmingham. Keep up with the news.

Highly unlikely considering evans was telling his players to break caddis's legs when he was crawley boss

Stuart beavon excpected to sign around 7pm tonight or 10am tomorrow so he can make the team for saturday {Ed003's Note -the next chance for him to be registered would be Monday}

Paul caddis is off to Birmingham

No chance he'll be going back to league 2, especially after running the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of Steve Evan's face last season.

Im a rotherham fan, i dont see any of these transfers happening both are quality individuals and they would both be in region of 400-650k money we dont have, we have around 250k in transfer fees and 3.5k on wage budget!

Ye im a rotherham fan and wen on way back from chesterfield person get radio dee dah on so had spiriets live on peak fm on and presetner said we have spent 3million quid on players so we probs could afford beavons wages and also we have got that money but evans has said he wont spend loads of money if there no better than what weve got

Im a rotherham fan and what we need is a goal poacher as we dont have a good goalscorrer and another defender

Seems rumours are growing that a loan deal for Anichebe from Everton could be done by the end of today. David Moyes happy to let the striker go out on loan

Any ideas as to where?

Possibly Huddersfield with Everton getting first refusal on Rhodes in January.

24 Aug 2012 10:53:28
Lucas biglia won't sign for norwich, he is waiting for arsenal to make a bid. Also huddersfields Jordan Rhodes is certain to sign for Norwich, simeon Jackson and now vaughan could be part off the deal.

Not really... said hes staying

Dont wanna see jordan leave but if we can get both jackson and vaughan then i wudnt be too bothered. 2 very good replacements. But wud love jordan to stay and just get 1 of them. (Vaughan).

Certain? Proof? Heard the same from West ham, Reading, Fulham & Blackburn fans.. Only the other day Grayson came out & said nobody had got near the asking price so doubt it! Vaughan is having a medical at town with the view of a loan move but Rhodes isn't part of the deal.
Adam.

Even if there is substance to this town need two quality front men so simply replacing Rhodes is only part of the job up front. If Jackson & Vaughan is the deal, which I doubt, it could be a good deal for town. Malhamterrier

I'm beginning to wonder if there isnt any team in the premier league that Rhodes isnt CERTAIN to sign for .
Also Vaughan has just signed on a season long loan its now official

Well you are wrong on all three im afraid. Vaughan has gone, season loan. JR will not be part of any deal, and Jackson is still at the club.
And talks with Biglia ongoing, be surprised now its been leaked if this doesn't happen, going on past history. Another Season Loan.

Well no because Vaughan has gone on loan and Jackson hasn't been linked to go anywhere today so I highly doubt it and rhodes is really overpriced for a player who has only ever performed well at league one level

Biglia is coming, same reasons as the bloke who went to Everton - wants more playing time.

Rhodes isn't for sale so Huddersfield can ask what they want.. It's what they value him at, not what other clubs are willing to pay! It's a case of put up or shut up...

Teams rhodes wont be signing for - anyone in the top half of the table, not good enough

24 Aug 2012 10:44:28
james vaughan of norwich to sign on loan to huddersfield with a view to a permanent move

Will he be playing tomorrow against Burnley?

Norwich also get first refusal on Rhodes in the January window - Canaries and Terriers both win.

Now official good signing

Wont be permanent

Why would norwich win, lose a striker with the possibility of signing an unproven average championship player

24 Aug 2012 10:23:46
Doncaster manager Dean Saunders confirmed to Paul Walker that he is interested in Preston striker Ian Hume, would this go through if Coppinger leaves!?!?

Would be an excellent signing for Doncaster. I'll be gutted when he leaves North End

Is this a definate or just a rumour?

It's definite. But dependant on Coppinger leaving Donny, which is looking increasing unlikely!

What I don t understand is why Hume is no longer interested in playing for Preston

Hume is interested, its westley who isnt unfortunatley..

He is he told me tonight that the gaffer doesnt want him there he isnt training with them hes not fit

I think the way GW has treated the existing PNE players is appauling, and is unprofessional, the day GW publically accepted the PNE Manager post, the Stevenage fans, that he will ruin things at PNE and is not a pleasant person , posted by someone who previously worked eith him, so the people that are assuming that players like Humey are lazy, and not interested in playing, the scandal during the Sheff Wed game some months ago,is crazy as someone previously mentioned Humey only played about half the season and finished top scorer again which he's consistant every club he's played for, i think speaks volumes, that he is a decent player, he's a decent player a fans favourite and a exceptional professional in what he has had endure to recover from a horrific life threatening injury and still play league 1 and Championship level, i think the desrves respect not slated! Lifelong PNE fan

Hume gives 100% every game and will be an asset for any team. As for Westley he is now falling out with players he brought in to replace the bad eggs he described last season .The SOONER Westley goes the BETTER!

Iain is extremely fit, has been working out with the outcasts and doing loads on his own. Time to prepare for what's next, if and when he gets back, guaranteed at least 15 goals this year +++ for pne or whoever it may be. Pne fan

Now the negoids invade here too. If Hume is sooo dedicated to PNE why doesnt he bite the bullet? He still wants to play snooker and get home at half 2 then play for canada and get injured. SB fans said GW had 2 spells of differing quality FYI above. At least GW will die trying, whereas Brown just dyed his skin...

How on earth can a player 'bite the bullet' when they are texted to stay away from pre-season friendlies, stay away from the club, lose their number from the first team and train away from the ground! Sorry but have we all missed something here? GW hasn't exactly been playing ball! Humey is too good for him and deserves to play for a team that want and respect him! Humey loves football and love to play! PNE fan (who doesn't like nor respect GW!)

11/12 - 29 apps 10 goals on 5/6k. A goal every 3 games with the odd assist, hardly value. GW has better things to be doing than dealing with sulking players and partners. If he loves playing so much maybe he should have a man to man chat or reduce his terms/demands and not keep trotting off to Canada. I presume you didnt like the result/performance last night as it was GW's team?

Have to laugh, at some fans really do mot know the facts, ok Humey scored 10 goals in 29 apps, however being injured for 4 1/2 months of the season, those 29 apps were not full apps alot he was subbed, i think for the length of time Humey has been a PNE player has again been top scorer fir his duration, as for his wages, how does anyone know what he's earning, amazingly that is only shared between the players, agents, club and their immediate family si its only an assumption, you can also argue the point about how players are not wortg due to lack of goals, just look at the premiership, so Humey hasn't made any demands however everything has been agreed between the player his agent and the club, as for his international commitments, i have to say he's one of the lucky players who is talented enough to be chosen to play for his country, as alot of players are not given the opportunity to do so, i would find it hard to critisize a player of that level, not an easy choice to make between club and country, but having spoken to Humey in the past he has always remained committed to club, country and family, cannot fault the lad fir that, you can't please everyone especially fans who are far too quick to judge, i'm sure if you were a footballer you would be of a similar nature, about time PNE got a result good on them, still say GW is on thin ice, given string of more defeats, i'm happy for PNE for last nights victory, with being a lifelong PNE fan however not GW, he's caused too much damage to the club, get rid of GW bring back Humey, 50 Apps 21 Goals, not a bad return, bet you were slagging him off when he scored, can you do better! As i said can't please everyone!

Hume wants to play he has wanted to meet gw but refuses to meet face to face only sending texts, he mite have a ball to kick gw but he hasn't the balls to be a man.

Hume has no interest in playing because of the regime, and because of what's been said. So it's play on MY terms, which is ok if your Pele but not if youre injury prone getting the kind of figures Id expect off Wroe, Monakana, Amoo, etc on a third of the money. FYI Ill support anyone in white and give them a chance. Just so I can have a laugh who would you replace GW with: who will work to a tight budget, have extensive scouting knowledge (especiallly non league), be able to bond a team, have recent considerable success, who's completely dedicated, etc. And no Im not saying he WILL succeed, but Im far happier watching skillful workmanlike performances than champagne charlies who sulk. Even if they have only won twice in the cup and only lost once after 2 months together! It's alot of damage so far...

Shame I havent got an answer to who would replace GW. Alot more damage he's done today....to Swindon's goal diff. AND wroe's halfway to Hume's goals already. Shame some 'fans' dont see the wider picture....

Htfc are looking to bring in 2 premier league strikers 1 on lian 1 perm as we have accepted Fulhams improved offer for Jordan Rhodes . Players being monitored are vaughan of ncfc , trotra fulham , maynard west ham , kane spurs , ameobi nufc n also ngog bolton n bechio leeds.
Good luck to Jordan n fairplay to fulham , i'm nit bitter n think it's a goid move for all parties. Fulham cb haliche coukd move to town for 700'000 . Gonna be a tough season but we will easily stay up .

The loan signing will be Simon Church.

Ngog to Huddersfield are havin a laugh

Monitor all you want , Becchio aint going anywhere

Bristol rovers to hold talks with tresor kandol in next 24hrs

Lol, no thanks. Wouldn't be a player anyone would want to see at the club. Hoping we have more sense than that.

No chance ..... Now if you had said Kieran Codogan people might take you seriously.

Ok watch this space he has been playing in spain cant take you to serious kieran codogan will not be coming to the gas.

How many more times?! there is NO more transfers going happen at rovers this week, as mcghee keeps saying..

There ARE no more transfers this week

Loan signings may happen, permanent transfers are unlikely

What do you mean no chance scored lot of goals for Leeds and if I remember he and beckford ripped us to pieces few seasons ago

Mate at SOL reckons Fletcher expected to sign this morning & Johnson meeting with MON & ES went well. Salary has been matched and decision is his to make. Offer is still on the table for Stanic. Richardson exchange deal on the cards for Odemwinge. Lots of loan interest for our midfield players but ES would prefer to sell (Meyer & elmohammady). MON likes Ryan Noble but would sell Conor Wickham at the drop of a hat.

French papers are reporting Southampton have had an €8m bid accepted by Rennes for Jean Armel-Kana Biyik

Could understand this one-but, is it not the African Cup during this season? Need to be careful we do not lose players to such an event during our first season back in Prem. when we need to stabilise our position.

Saint Martin

Please let it be true as represents reasonable signing which meets criteria of long term vslue for money.

Can't comment have no idea if he is good or bad! enlighten me my more informed people!

Another link to a decent player that wont happen we might just accept the players we have now and see what happens

If Huddlestone deal is off at Stoke we should get in for him ..Excellent passer and reader of game ..

No they're not.

NC out!! let NA make the moves on players he knows best

As a frustrated Saints fan we are looking desperate with time running out. We appear to be bidding randomly... If we want a playmaker like Ramirez then lets get after him ASAP and snap him up... If we want a CB or two then let's identify them and buy them. NC and NA must have known who they needed at months ago yet here we are with a week to go chasing players who's chairman now know we have at least 12m in the bank... We should be after Dawson not some guy from Japan who would take 10 games to settle in the country before settling in the team

This lad has solid Premiership quality. Quick, strong and reliable.

Yoshida has been very good playing in Holland so I don't see how it would take him 10 games to adjust. Already in Europe and playing similar football.
I hope we sign Yoshida, Dawson, Olsson and Ramirez. Solid squad then that will comfortably survive this vital first season back.

Agree with previous poster. Why are we now in this apparent last minute grabathon. I appreciate we have been mucked around but surely we should have something to show for it

Whoever says they're frustrated is just coming off as spoilt. Anyone who was there when stern john saved us from relegation from the championship will know how far weve come in so little time. Our performance against city showed we can mix it with the best in the division. I would much rather we were selective and only bought the players that fit our club than were like QPR picking up every mercenary that wont bleed for the shirt.

Fans are not being spoilt i have been a season ticket holder since 1981 and for the first time we have the right finances all the fans are asking for is a honest transfer structure rather than being linked with players we have no chance of getting

Or getting cheap free transfers

Its called long term GLOBAL branding dude .Look at the whole picture and realise where the premier league is broadcast live each week and to how many watch our games live week in week out . Where do you think the money comes from Sky to pay us each year ?
Next years pay out is huge from sky the biggest in history .so to get relegated would mean we miss out on ahuge payout next season ..Japanese and Korean Players are excellent in their technique and work ethic .We should look to the US or Mexico for affordable talent too It sells shirts and creates fan bases world wide .
If not we should be buying players that have something to prove like Ricky did ,Players that can listen learn develop and show all the people that showed them the door and told them that they would nt make it wrong !
We are Southampton . We have a pride and a way we play . Thats why we have supported them all these years .

Brighton have failed with 7 - yes 7 approaches for strikers since June. Main initial problem was CMS refusing to go as part of exchange. Club now has stricter financial control - loan only signing until 3 players (all transfer listed) leave. Loan targets now Nile Ranger and Bebe. One of the 2 was meant to be in by Saturday - looks now that due to internal controls will not happen before end of transfer deadline. Source: reliable within club.

More untruths

CMS never refused to go as there was no reason for him as he was never asked to leave Gus has stated that there were no offers for CMS and that he wanted to keep him at the club.

CMS will not leave and Gus is not stupid enough to let him. We don't have any strikers as it is so why would BHA allow him to go?

Wouldn't surprise me if the board told Gus to make use of what he's previously bought, lets face it some of his signings haven't exactly shone.

Another prospective is Gus only has two years left on his contract and we should have enough to stay safe this season with a loan signing which I think is smart business as maybe the club are pre-empting Gus not signing a new deal.

Also Gus hasn't got the best out the forwards he bought last summer Hoskins, CMS and Buckley so I'm not shocked if they have said you bought them now show us what you saw in them!

Err Gus signed a new 5 year deal last year.

Gus has 4 years left on his contract!

What do you mean "gus hasn't got the best out of Buckley"? Everyone is entitled to their opinion but he shone last season and in my eyes 2nd best player! Couldn't do much with Hoskins either considering he was injured most of it!

People have gone off the point - the rumour posted has nothing to do with Gus. Seen the rumour re: CMS and the lack of progress on strikers elsewhere. The rumour seems quite credible and the level of players - although in truth would not want either - Cameron Duncan

Come on you moaners, Buckley has been excellent when not injured, a great signing, Hoskins has also been useful when not injured, probably needs a run of starts to give him a chance, they need to play CMS differently to get the best out of him, Barnes is our leading goal scorer over the last 2 seasons, the fact we have been unable to score this year is no reflection on Gus, just look at the way the club has gone about its business in the last 2 years, we have not overspent on prem cast offs/big time charlies, look at vicente, Bruno, Bridge, Kuzac, Bridcutt, Greer, Calderon, Painter, Crofts, Barnes, Vincelot, Dunk, Noon, Kaz etc etc we paid vertually zero for this lot compared with other clubs and where exactly has Gus cocked up? maybe Harley!!!!!!!! come on Brighton fans get real! Remember where we were a few years ago? doubt if any of you lot went to Gillingham, support the team or go to Whitehawk! or support Chelsea.

On the contrary, my 1st game was goldstone east stand. Same spot every game. I was at the so called famous 0-0 v Doncaster on midweek game, 6 years season ticket holder at withdean until I moved to Canada and now ticket holder at AMEX. Lost for words after yesterday's game, still need that hold up player.

Erm, the Goldstone didn't have a east stand.

Too right, concrete and railings in the open. Stood there for years with an old guy behind who used to shout "whop it up em Brighton". Graduated to west standing just under stand and seats behind. Withdean and Gillingham just a memory now - thank goodness. But in line with this rumour lets hope we get a striker in before Friday - despite win over a very very poor Barnsley

From another east stand man! It did actually. Check out Wikipedia it did! Plus it did until all the conflict occurred and they closed it down for a while. Anyways this is a supposed to be a rumour site not a grudge match between fans! Keep Calm and Love the Albion.

Yes it did , it was called the chicken run

Yes it did the east terrace stand spliting hairs

The Goldstone had an East Terrace though, not all the true fans were in the North Stand.

"the Goldstone didn't have an east stand"!! So the stand opposite the west one and adjacent to the north and south ones. What do we call that then?

Of course it did. North, south, west and err east....

Splitting hairs, I think in those days we called it the East Terrace and also strangely the West Terrace under the West Stand. This of course was in the days you stood - on the terrace, and sat in the stand! English, what a simple language. Anyway no squabbling chaps and "whop it up 'em Seagulls" as the old guy used to say!

Nicholas Bentner

Thomas Ince

Middlesbough striker Marvin Emnes is reported to have handed in a transfer request, most likely destination Swansea or Norwich for £5-6m. Boro to replace him with Albert Adomah, Ishmail Miller and nigerian strikers Kim Ojo.

Wouldn't mind too much if it where true.

Is that Kim & Ojo?!

Swansea can have him

Norwich I hope .......

Unlikely to see any forwards this side of year has houghton stated that he is "happy with his lot "

Vaughan on his way to huddersfield on loan and another defender on his way

5-6 million way off the mark more like2-3 sinclair going for 6.6 million to man city so no chance we will pay that for him

I as a Swansea fan don't think Emnes is a good enough player for the Premier League, and his price tag is far too high. 4 to 6 million you have to be joking. Swansea will not fork out that much for a high end Championship player, Danny Graham was only 3 million and was the top scorer the season before last...

I'd like to see Swansea sign Hernandez from Valencia, and I'd love to see Ince come. (However unlikely...)

Wolves' Stale Solbakken wants to bring in three new signings before the transfer window closes at the end of next week. I have a source within the club ITK and he's been targeting four specific areas:

- Centre back
- Centre midfield
- Left back
- Right wing

Three reported targets are Oscar Wendt, Bryan Oviedo and Christian Bolanos of which I can confirm as being enquired about by the club in the past week. Solbakken also attempted to sign two central defenders earlier on in the transfer window in the form of Vadim Demidov and Pedro Geromel, both of which snubbed moves in favour of other higher placed clubs which offered improved wages.

I can also exclusively report that Wolves have made a bid in the region of £5 million pounds for Copenhagen midfielder Claudemir de Souza. And finally, an offer has also been made to Norwegian side Molde FK of £2 million pounds for defender Even Hovland. That's all I know right now, will let you know if anything changes on the transfer front in the next few days.

As soon as you mentioned in the know I switched off.Though you'er targets are hardly unmentioned players in the media.

He doesn't want a central midfielder. We have got Henry, Doumbia, O'Hara, Edwards and D Davis.

Wow some people really do research their made up rumours good on him

Wolves to sign 3 players? Centre Back, Centre Mid, Left Back & Right Wing isnt that four?

We need strikers doyle no good let him go and ebanks will get you 15 goals tops

We don't need strikers, we need defenders. Doyle is one of our best players too the person saying he is no good.

Rangers are set to be interested in oxfords Peter leven but are likely to wait until January as then hell only have 6mnths left on his contract

So they have to wait until january yet, there transfer ban starts September 1st?? Smell that?

Wait till January during the transfer embargo starting 1/9/12?

Actually, the 12 month transfer ban begins on 01/01/2013, but the current transfer window closes at the end of this month. If the ban started on 01/09/2012, then Ally wouldn't have to be building a squad for the next 2 campaigns would he?

Do yer research mate, transfer ban

Leven wanting to play in the lowest Scottish League? Don't see it somehow.

Leven is a player and a rangers die hard I would love to see him back not just cause he's a fan but a quality midfield playmaker that we desperately need come on ally go get him

Tommy Smith is set to sign for Cardiff city after undergoing a medical today from QPR

I wonder if those Watford boys recall my exchange with them over Tommy. Not that I'm gloating, you understand?

Redbird

Cardiff city made fools of themselves today againt an average bristol city thier defence is a joke like cart horses malky bieng a defender id think youd know better the whole team should be ashamed of themselves. and im a cardiff supporter for 30 years.sorry to say but they where sad.

I agree with you mate im also a city supporter i felt the same way, mid'field and defence were pathetic echo said they were the best in the championship im cant believe they can make the same basic mistake time and time again.

Im a cardiff supporter as well yes your comments are true defence rubbish cardiff have sold all there defenders they have no options they hade a accadamy defender on bench pathetic malky get a grip . and you bieng a defender wait till we play a decent team. well get opened up no problem.cc supporter.

Us getting a 0-0 at hrighton shows how good our defence is considering that the next team who went there lost 5-1. We just had an off day they did'nt outplay us at all we just made mistakes that happens sometimes when we get ben turner back we will be fine

West Brom to rival Swansea in a shock move for Blackpool's Thomas Ince.

The Baggies will offer 2 million plus Jerome Thomas as part of the deal.

From a very reliable source and friend within Blackpool F.C. who has revealed several transfers to me before they have been made official.

The Baggies will offer £2Million and Jerome Thomas'

And Blackpool will laugh at such a derisory offer.

I would be shocked if he went for that price. Thomas is a decent player but doesn't come close to making up the short-fall in that offer in my opinion.

Can all of this stop now? Ince is not going anywhere even offering a player oyston does not want to negotiate with anyone

Why can't all these team get it,ince is not going, his dad Paul has spoken to holloway with Tom and he wants to stay.

£2m I nearly split my sides.Add £10m plus add ons and Oyston might talk. Why do people constantly post such things. How much have Wolves sold Fletcher,Jarvis for!!.

He will sign for swansea as they have the funds available and dobbie as a make weight
4m plus dobbie will be enough

People who claim to be friends with people within the club are usually not truthfull. The only people who know about transfers within the club are Matt Williams, Oyston and Ollie.

To be honest I don't see the fuss about this Ince guy. He is fast and that's about it. He's worth 3 million max and if any premier club wanted him they could buy him. As for Fletcher and Jarvis, the clubs that brought them have more money than sense. Blackpool fans have obviously over valued their player.

Yes i too also know someone within blackpool and he has said we are getting messi see how easy it is to do that

4 goals so far this season 2 today and 3 assists so 2 million and a player we don't want sounds about right :/

Stoke City have signed Edu from rangers and tom huddlestone from tottenham is praticualy a done deal.

Maurice edu another USA born player an international too good signing tp means business this season

We need players out first tbh

Huddleston deal has fallen through

He hasnt signed theyve only agreed a fee with rangers

It appears in local media that they are now saying Huddlestone has not passed his medical and once again PULIS is getting cold feet. Signing is looking less likely. If you need a centre half Pulis is your main. Any other position and he hasn't got much idea. if he scouted for Arsenal defenders and Wenger for progressive players at Stoke both teams would benefit

He passed his medical he hasen't convinced the stoke medical team that he is over his injuries, plus stoke can't pay all his wages so they are still trying to reach an agreement about cutting a deal with spurs

I can see why TP may not want to take a risk i mean 40k a week is a lot for a player who may not play especially considering he hasnt playes for 2 years personally id go for him

I think they should have a clause saying he gets payed only if hes match fit even if he doesnt start but doesnt get payed if suffers injury

Edu has signed for free as he considers himself a free agent and not tied to NewCo. Hasn't played for 'Rangers' this season. FIFA may decide a fee is payable, but as Ness has set a precedent, this is unlikely.

The Huddlestone deal is stalling because Stoke want to protect their financial interests. If Huddlestone gets injured they want a clause that will mean Spurs pick up the financial burden.

West Brom have made a move for the versatile Blackburn star Martin Olsson as they look to bulk up the left side of their defence and midfield and the Baggies look in pole position as he is good friends with Baggies duo Jonas Olsson and Markus Rosenberg.

Olssen would be a cracking buy.
Highly rated here in Sweden and good news for me with all the xtra publicty and media coverage it would bring with three top class swedes on the books.Bring it on !

Only concern with this is that Martin Olsson will expect to play?!

Blackburn dont want to sell him otherwise a possible swap deal with Cox could have happened. Expect them to dig their heals in for a big fee over £3 million with him still on a long contract and them not needing to sell. This will put us off I think.

We Haven't Paid For Anyone Except Fossy and I Think J.T. Will Be Gone By Friday Night. So £3 Million Is Not Out Of Our Reach. As For Playing, I Would Move Ridgwell In For McAuley And Play Olsson (Martin) At Left Back.

No way! McAuley is class and deserves to stay in the first team (tom)
