United don't have £1.5m and even if they did wouldn't shell it out on one player at this time. It's just not prudent.

Looks like Jay tabb may be moving to either Barnsley, derby or a possible move to Swindon although this is the most unlikely of the 3 given Swindons current financial situation (move around 385k).
Im best mates with jays couzin and he is lookin for a london club as when he was at coventry he got very homesick. that's why he felt more at home at brentford and reading.im thinking palace or charlton are clubs he would prefer to move too but whether they are interested in him I don't know.

Paul Benson has met with Bristol Rovers tonight, to go on loan for the rest of the season, the Swindon striker would like to return to Pompey and have asked Swindon to pay up his contract so he can join them, this will not happen, so he has met with Rovers as he knows PDC doesn't want him back at the club. well he's definitely not in talks with anyone else, more likely his agent throwing stories around trying to start a bidding war but its not happending.

Newcastle will end interest in him after signing Yoann Gouffran on Wednesday and Danny Graham will join Sunderland for 5m as early as Friday and van Wolfswinkel will join Swansea in time for their match Tuesday night away at Sunderland. As Swansea is owned partly by supporters its sparked rowing between Huw Jenkins and the supporters after Huw accepted a 5m bid from Sunderland for Graham. Few rumours in the North West, Blackpool looking to appoint Micky Adams from Port Vale, Preston North End chasing Barnes-Homer of Macclesfield and Fleetwood Town making a speculative effort to sign Bailey Wright from Preston, with his contract due to expire in summer.

Birmingham City are set to let any senior player go, to reduce both the wage bill and have funds avaliable to stop the club going into administration. Due to this issue they have, Darren Ambrose is linked for a move to Bristol City for an undisclosed fee.
Kyle McFadzean is set to join Bristol City for £600,000 dispite Crawley Town not wanting to sell their star player.
Matt Derbyshire from Nottingham Forest has been rumoured to be heading to Ashton Gate. Sean O'Driscoll thinks that he is a vital addition to the strike force at Bristol City due to the loss of Brett Pitman and soon to be Jon Stead.
Bristol City are joining the race to sign Lee Camp, due to the fact Sean O'Driscoll thinks he is a great goalkeeper. Bristol City have failed to keep a clean sheet, so a decent goalkeeper is needed.
Albert Adomah has been linked to other teams such as Wigan. These rumours are not true, he is away at the Cup Of African Nations, so no deal will be done in this transfer window.

Aston Villa are set to sack manager Paul Lambert unless they win convincingly against Bradford City in the League Cup semi final.
It is thought Villa chairman Randy Lerner is to approach Charlton about speaking to their manager Chris Powell if things don't go to plan.
They won't move for a new manager until the summer, can see a change though as Lambert is not being backed in the transfer market.
If that is true it'll be interesting to see if Powell goes as he's loved by the fans, but I doubt anything will happen till the summer.

Almunia is a great championship keeper and good professional. Went to the Bristol game and he trained hard in the quagmire of a pitch before it got called off. But I agree that see Gordan is a better keeper if his injuries haven't compromised him. Could have gone on to big things if he hasn't been unlucky. Maybe he can kick start a new premiership career with watford :)
Craig Gordon is a class keeper. Before his injuries he was suberb for Sunderland. If you sign him I hope he can reproduce the form when he was at his best. Good luck to him and your club.

Cmon Ed, people keep holding onto a few gaffs he had at Arsenal. Almunia has been a top keeper for us, surely one of the best signings of the year as a free. Great distribution, saves etc... {Ed039's Note - I have never doubted that he is a cracking shot stopper, but I dont think he has ever had the full package as a keeper, something missing, but yes, I have to agree he has been a great signing for Watford, considering that he was a free transfer, but I do think a Craig Gordon on top form is better than Almunia thats all)

Loach-esque is a tad harsh, he's certainly been better than Loach, but not as good as Kuszczak (yes I did google the spelling) was at the end of last season. Craig Gordon is a better keeper than Almunia and I would love to see him at the club, but I can't see it happening if I'm honest.
