Macclesfield midfielder Sam Wedgbury will join Stevenage after his macc contact expires

Source - Macc website

21 May 2013 22:48:31
Birmingham have been told they will have very little money to spend this summer, since clark has already brought in shinnie, randolph, lee and novak other targets include, nicky law (motherwell) paul mcgowan (st miren) paddy mccourt (celtic) danny wilson (liverpool) ryan burge (formally port vale) matt green (mansfield). I have no doubt some of these signings will be made but who knows how many!

21 May 2013 22:23:41
Bradford are looking for a first choice Rm with Garry Thompson been second choice next season, this could result in Bradford making a bid for Jon Taylor in the summer, this is with PP wanting back to back promotions to the Championship!!

Sell Hines, we could et a bit of money in and get a more experienced first team player

Hines is off in talks with leyton orient

21 May 2013 22:17:37
As if aberdeen could ever afford craig gordons wages. lol

21 May 2013 22:13:39
Celtic looking to snap up burnleys charlie austin for a fee of around 6 million who looks set to replace gary hooper who is on his way to either norwich/southampton/stoke or newly promoted hull

Celtic also looking at leigh griffiths who could steal him from hibs for a bargain buy of 200,000

Other possible targets: Gary mackay steven (dundee united) johnny russell (dundee united) kevin doyle (wolves)

Hooper not moving to Southampton. This rumour comes up far too often we don't particularly want him.

That Leigh griffiths that is actually a wolves player. That Leigh griffiths that wolves said will be playing there next season.6mil for Austin. Take it.

That's weird considering Griffiths doesn't belong to Hibs.

Leigh Griffiths recently signed a one tear contract extension with wolves, he won't be going anywhere {Ed001's Note - no he did not, the club had a 1 year option in his contract and chose to activate it.}

22 May 2013 11:21:13
Scott Sinclair off to Southampton from City, somewhere in the region of 7m

Saints did want Hooper a season or so ago when Adkins was manager. Because Adkins worked with him and Scunny.

But Pochettino isn't going to be looking north of the border. He's got links in Spain, Argentina and Italy. We'll be looking there. Cheaper and more talented players.

Austin won't go to celtic, he'll be a prem player soon

It would be good if we got some English talent

21 May 2013 22:13:05
Crystal Palace have reportedly have struck a deal to sign Nahki Wells from Bradford City for 1.4 million.

Bradford City are going to spend that money on bringing in Brit Assombalonga and Jack Redshaw in so they have a decent amount of strikers at the club next season.

£1. 4?, that's about £1.1m too much for a second division player. Young and unproven, maybe 2-300k with appearance and goals bonuses.

22 May 2013 12:45:08
Maybe Britt could go out on loan but won't be permanent. He is in Watford's long term plans and signed a new long term contract earlier this season.

22 May 2013 12:52:13
1.4 mil lol
I would snap there hands off for that lol
I know nahki has said he wants to stay but if that sort of money is offered he's off.
But I would like to say no team in there right mind would offer that.

22 May 2013 20:29:48
Wells has a 1million release clause, no-one is getting him on the cheap, scored regularly for 18 months. 300k, ha what's that, spends and a trip home to see his family.

Ha rubbish we are interested in wells but now that Bradford are promoted I doubt we will get him

Let's put it this way, rotherham had le fondre who was banging in the goals left, right and centre, and he went for £500,000 in total ( that's with £200,000 ish due to appearances etc) so there's no way that wells is worth a million quid, and jus :for the record he's light years away from being half a s good as alfie. Sane bradford story, get somebody who scores the occasional 20 goals and he's worth £1 million, not in a million years!

21 May 2013 22:02:17
Hull to sign

21 May 2013 21:52:01
Charlton Rumours

Southampton, Norwich, West Brom & Fulham all have Chris Solly on their shortlist but as of yet no club has made a bid or a official enquiry.

Charlton are prepared to listen to offers for Dale Stephens, Huddersfield are one of the clubs showing Interest.

AFC Bournemouth are considering a bid for Danny Hollands if they lose Harry Arter.

Crawley Town & Leyton Orient both looking into the possibility of signing Danny Green but money is a issue.

When is money never an issue with Orient!
If Barry Hearn has any ambition of finishing higher than 7th, he has got to push the boat out. With one or two quality players added to the Squad, we can go one better next season.

22 May 2013 15:31:29
New crawley kits to be released next week they have got to be amung one of the best looking kits I've ever seen

But have they got the best looking players?

23 May 2013 10:38:31
Yes the best looking kits and players

21 May 2013 21:25:28
Burton Albion news:

The Brewers are close to agreeing deals to sign Alex MacDonald (recently released by Burnley), Tom Naylor from Derby and Altrincham's Damian Reeves.
Burton have also offered a contract to former Tranmere forward Adam McGurk, however he is also weighing up other offers from other clubs.

Reeves will have to be offered good money probably 1k plus a week

Maghoma is on his way out, as are one or two other big earners, so £1k+ shouldn't be too much of a problem.

21 May 2013 21:17:32
Bristol city to sign aden flint from swindon and simon gillet from forest. A trial will be offered to energy murambadaro from zimbabwe whilst also inquiring about marlon packs availability from cheltenham town.

Local swindon press says that stfc have rejected 3bids from city the latest for 300k. flint has handed in a transfer request which has been rejected. it is thought the board are playing hard ball to get more cash. but he ain't worth it and I'm a town fan!

Same, I too am a massive swindon fan and completely agree that flint is overrated.

Well I am a town fan and he will be missed its just what city need in their defence a towering centre back fantasic in the air. get as much money as possible well done new board. I think swindon will go through a transal peroid for the mext 12 to 15 months & steady the ship behind the sences get things in order.

I can't help but think Swindon will let him make his way to City, he clearly isn't in the mood to re-sign and that's a lot of cash to throw away from a league 1 buget.

The question is how much do City want him?

Will be signing for Doncaster. 300k plus add kns.

We should let him go, if he don't want to be here then he ain't going to perform, take the money or lose him end season for nothing

If Swindon don't sell him now for £300k£500k they will end up having to sell him in Jan for less than £100k or lose him for free.

21 May 2013 21:56:53
Roberto martinez will be named newcastle manager by the end of the week, with alan pardew going to stoke. From a very reliable source

Makes sense, you do defend like wigan

21 May 2013 21:40:32
Carlton Cole to Hull City on a free transfer

Carlton cole made it clear he was not interested in up rooting his family and moving up north

21 May 2013 21:34:36
Romelu lukaku will rejoin westbrom on loan next season. Chelsea were impressed with the youngsters progression at Albion last season! Clarke will also use his friendship with Jose to seal the deal! Lukaku will be more than happy to go back after describing west brom as feeling like home and crediting this for his good form!

I've had to listen to an Albion fan at work spouting this rubbish all day! Fact is that Mourinho likes a big striker up front ( Drogba ) and Lukaku would fit that role perfectly.

When is this rubbish of signing anything that walks and then loaning said players out to clubs in the same division going to end? How/when are these clubs ever to develop their own academies/talent with this sort of nonsense? Football authorities get a grip. Players only to be loaned out to clubs in a different division OR must be able to play againt anyone in the division, including the parent club!

22 May 2013 13:09:23
If that were true, who was Mourinho's "big striker" at Real & Inter?

Balotelli and benzema

21 May 2013 21:33:59
Steve Mclaren to take over at Millwall with a £3. 75 million transfer kitty! {Ed003's Note - }

Did you mean £3. 75p

We could have a big budget this season, the 1.5m we had for wood the 1.5m+ from the fa cup run we had and at least 1m from the chairman

23 May 2013 10:19:30
We didn't own Wood though. He belonged to West Brom.

He means the 1.5 million we had in place to buy wood.

24 May 2013 09:23:03
Yeah, fair enough. Forgot we put money aside for Wood

21 May 2013 21:06:06
Matt Mills will move back to the club where he first made his name & played arguably the best football of his career, Doncaster Rovers.

21 May 2013 23:44:55
We all wish and sharp!

Sharp won't be coming back! Why does every rovers fan think this! Get a reality check!

Wot player do you think doncaster will sign

22 May 2013 09:23:58
Yep Matty Mills Billy Sharp along with Owen Hargreaves and Danny Murphy come on JR prove you mean what you say!

Great to see matt mills back at the club

Don't be stupid, Bolton want 5 million for mills

21 May 2013 21:05:34
heard that Jon Stead and Danny Haynes have been to John Smith Stadium Huddersfield today.

Haynes looks promising, but i'm getting quite concerned about the number of times Jon Steads name keeps coming up, he surely can't be of any interest to Town.

21 May 2013 21:04:37
Liverpool are hoping to sign Kolo Toure (Man City) and Toby Alderewield (Ajax). Kyriakos Papadopolous (Schalke) also been mentioned but unsure if true.

Liverpool also looking to beat Dortmund to Christian Erikson (Ajax).

Diego Capel (Sporting Lisbon) also on the radar along with Roberto Soldado (Valencia).

21 May 2013 20:55:14
Derby County

Craig Forsyth-Watford-150k
Jon Taylor-Shrewsbury-Min fee
James Vaughan-750k
Kirk Broadfoot-Blackpool-Free

Thought Derby were signing Baptiste.

Now you want Broadfoot. make your mind up

21 May 2013 23:06:41
^Everyone is after Baptiste he has had an offer from Hull, Palace and Bolton who are offering more money. Every manager has back up targets.

Been linked with both. I think most of us have given up on Baptise, what with richer clubs rumoured to be in the chase too.

Vaughan is going to Hudersfield probably, wish he could come to us but av a feelin he wants to go to them

We can't compete for Baptistes signature, premier league clubs are interested therefore we turn to our next target. Broadfoot. Not sure what the issue here is.

Kirk Broadfoot. big lad, fell over with minimal ease to win Blackpool a penalty when we played them! That aside, quality player and plays anywhere along back four and had good season for the Tangerines. Another Scot finding his home at Championship level. Would take him and Ian Evatt from B'pool to shore up Derby defence.

Why do derby fans want our defenders. don't they relise that's normally the worst part of our team and what always costs us

Think you'll find in the last 12 games (under Ince) other than the abomination at Brighton our defence was the 2nd best in the division.

Broadfoot was a huge part of that and I'll be more than disappointed if he goes.

Heard conflicting reports on this sigining DET sports editor saying we are not after him, and another source saying we are the only club in for him.

Hey Ho Happy Thursday Rams fans, Sam Rush is on the radio this morning, for some more spin me thinks.

21 May 2013 20:52:35
Hi ed- have you heard any notts county rumours?

21 May 2013 20:29:52
bournemouth charlton ipswich derby huddersfield sheffield wednesday and doncaster are all interested in tranmeres out of contract left back Zoumana Bakayogo the defender has said come and get me to championship clubs and derby look favourites to sign him

What when we already have a Left back in Craig Forsyth coming in next week I doubt it.

Town already have 3 left backs. Why do we need another.

Charlton already have Rhoys Wiggins LB, who is one of the best in the devision and Cedrich Evina as cover + Chris Solly can play there, doubt we are interested.

Nah camp won't go afcb

21 May 2013 20:21:52
Akinfenwa to Swindon I'm hearing?

A free agent as of today and would be a tank upfront

21 May 2013 21:47:38
more chance of us signing messi, got no chance with these prats running the club

No chance akinfenwa will be signing for Swindon, he can't run, if macdonald is going to play 1 upfront he needs someone who is mobile, I did here that London Irish are also looking at him.

Akinfenwa do me a favour

21 May 2013 20:19:38
Stoke will look to Fly Rafa Benitez back from America who is currently on Chelsea's pre season tour. Stoke will look to announce the Manager tomorrow

Tomorrow?! haha doubt it

If Rafa is to be the new Stoke manager he won't need to fly back, he will have already discussed this with Peter Coates who he has contacts with.

21 May 2013 20:05:08
Jason Kennedy to sign For Bradford from Rochdale on 2 year deal from July 1st

Also in talks with Marlon Pack of Cheltenham about similar deal

They have also enquired about Jamie Vardy at Leicester but can't agree a fee

Clayton Donaldson is also on their radar from Brentford

Would love Donaldson at city, doesn't seem realistic tho

No chance of you lot getting Donaldson i'd look elsewhere.

How many times do we need to go over this.
Pack will move to Bournemouth OR Derby.
He will NOT move to Bradford.

He's from Bradford and his dad still lives there so you never know

21 May 2013 20:10:08
Middlesbrough look set to land ex Burnley midfielder Chris McCann as he is now available on a free transfer.

Well hopefully Bunley pick up released Borough midfielder Bailey to replace McCann

Bailey on mega wage

Bailey would take a wage cut though

12. 5k a week. so was mcmanus, letting them to go on a free transfer has freed up 25k.

Bailey and mcmanus were both on 25k a week. Both out of contract now, so not on any wage. Bailey was class for Boro, sad to see him go and I wish him all the best. UTB

21 May 2013 20:05:45
Stoke chairman Peter Coates is currently in talks with Rafa Benitez in taking the vacant manager position

Did anyone see rafa at the Brit a few months before he joined Chelsea, he had talks with Coates and will sign in the next 3 weeks

21 May 2013 20:16:15
Huddersfield are looking to buy:
Danny Haynes
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing
Simeon Jackson
Lee Camp

Jackson is quality and would get you 20 goals a year in the champ

21 May 2013 23:13:49
And Vaughan

Vaughan and Jackson would be a magnificence strike force hopefully we will get them voth

Mendez-Laing will not be going to Huddersfield.

Wake up townies as if vaughan would sign for you on a permanent deal when he could just join leeds instead

Yes of course how stupid, he's bound to sign for leeds. i'm sure he has been bombarding mc duhmots inbox with requests for a trial for weeks. How could we possibly be so nieve as to think he would have any interest in coming to Town?

21 May 2013 20:03:21
MK Dons are lining up moves for
Evan Horwood
Ryan Burge
Gerado Bruna
Scott Wagstaff
Kevin Davies

No way! We wouldn't have the wages for them. It will be loans and kids next season. Robbo has said as much. And that's assuming we keep our squad as it is, which is unlikely.

We're looking at a rocky road ahead :- (

Carlton Cole is on a free after being released by West Ham!

I guess if we can't laugh, we may as well shut up shop altogether.

Not looking forward to next season. No signs whatsoever of fortunes improving.

:- (

Kevin Davies?

Hull are contemplating a deal for him! Why would he want to drop to our miserable level anyway? Unless he's a masochist.

Gerado Bruna I can believe with Robbos connections to Liverpool and Blackpool.

21 May 2013 20:01:43
Swindon manager Kevin MacDonald wants to sign Adebayo Akinfenwa to add power to his frontline, with Collins and Williams expected to leave the club, big Bayo could be set to strike a partnership with teenage striker Miles Storey.

Collins and Williams won't both leave as both got time left on contract, Akinfenwa would be a great addition to the squad though

Two rumours about this, so maybe something there, but I'd be surprised. KMAC will play 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1 next season if the latter stages of this season were anything to go by. Akinfenwa is big and powerful, but not that quick, or at least that's how I remember him. When playing with one up front you need him to be able run in the channels and stretch the defence, as well as hold the ball up. He'll be good at the latter, but not the former.

Can anyone whose seen him lately confirm that, or is he deceptively quick and I just haven't noticed?

No he is slow, he can't move his legs quick enough as his ass gets in the way.

21 May 2013 19:59:47
Congolese striker Dieumerci Mbokani to Sunderland

Going to West Brom

22 May 2013 13:47:13
yeah he's going west brom I think, his agent was at their final match of season

21 May 2013 19:59:28
Congolese striker Dieumerci Mbokani to Sunderland

21 May 2013 19:46:09
Hey Ed (or Ed's)
Is it not about time the old "Gary Hooper to Southampton" did the rounds?
On a lighter note, I am hearing that Morgan Schneiderlin will snub Arsenal for at least a year and see how the second season goes. Young Luke Shaw would be daft to go and sit on the bench at a bigger club and I can't see Southampton being interested in a loan back, why build his experience then let him go? I assume they would just invest in another youngster. Hearing all these big names that sound a bit over the top but the Chairman and MP seem to think Europe is on the cards soon so big money will be spent. Dragovic and Lens would be my bet, then maybe a few lesser signings that may turn into gems. can't wait for it all to get started, transfer windows are like soaps but better!

Europe is not on the cards, with respect can Saints realistically compete with Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool Everton Chelsea etc. geting even close to a top 10 finish would be a massive acheivement for Saints, there are far bigger clubs in the prem hoping to push on for Europe like West Ham West Brom Fulham, these are the clubs Saints should be aspiring to emulate, forget Europe, staying in the prem is all you can hope for. not having a go just a bit of realism

Sorry to say but Gary Hooper is on his way to Norwich (even though we DON'T want him) the fee is believed to be £6m.

21 May 2013 21:06:40
Well I did say the chairman and manager seem to think Europe is on the cards. Personally I think a top 10 finish is achievable and I would be over the moon. The ambition of the club is very high and a do believe we are on the up, not in a deluded way. Top 10 finish and maybe a cup final if the draw is kind. COYR

21 May 2013 21:13:56
Fulham, West Brom and West Ham bigger than Southampton, please be serious. Saints have a long term viable investment plan and will be pushing on to challenge for European Football. Summer transfers will prove very interesting.

21 May 2013 21:21:19
I didn't say we wanted him, just that it crops up every transfer window. The Celtic fans get all upset and he stays put anyway. I like Norwich though, good old fashioned club doing things the proper way. Good luck to ya and if you get Hooper then fair play, I'm sure he'll do well.

"Europe is not on the cards, with respect can Saints realistically compete with Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool Everton Chelsea etc. geting even close to a top 10 finish would be a massive acheivement for Saints" Tottenham, Liverpool, Man city, Manchester United and Chelsea No we cannot compete with them, but the rest of the league we sure can, we were close to a top ten finish this season and we would have got it if it wasn't for our poor end of season form over our last 5 games (games against spurs who we smashed for 75 minuets then lost, are the teams we should have beat to finish higher). As for Europe, If trophies go to the teams in the top 4 then 7th is all saints need to get to. Everton without Moyes and him taking a few of their start players to Manchester United won't be challenging as high nect season. How the hell are West Ham, West Brom and Fulham far bigger than Saints? They are not far bigger at all. Staying in the Prem Is not all we can hope for, we have a chairman with ambitious plans backed by a very wealthy owner. Top 10 should be the aim next season.

6m that's cheap

21 May 2013 19:35:32
Brentford are interested in several players this summer. Kyle McFadzean (Crawley), Jake Cassidy (Wolves), Jaques Maghoma (Burton), Tom Adeyemi (Norwich) and Jake Bidwell (Everton) thier top priorities.

Cassidy will be in the first team for wolves next season, so he's not going to go to brentfod

21 May 2013 19:19:04
Stuart McCall approached by Sheffield United to become there new boss last night.
STV News

21 May 2013 19:39:19
Reading to go back in for sunzu this summer, as a replacement for pearce and gorkss, a fee of around 2 million should be enough to get him

21 May 2013 19:39:07
Burnley waiting to see what happens with Charlie Austin before making a move for Nakhi Wells

Bradford want 1M for him and Burnley have not the money to sign him yet although Hull are expected to make a move for Austin this week

21 May 2013 21:18:10
Aston Villa centre-back Richard Dunne, 33, is set to be released on a free transfer by manager Paul Lambert. It is believed newly promoted Hull City have offered him a 35,000 a week 1 year deal with a further 1 year extension if they stay in the Premier League.

21 May 2013 19:38:26
Derby Manager Nigel Clough chasing Jon Taylor (Shrewsbury) Right Winger, Matthew Kilgallon (Sunderland) Centre Back and Rudy Gestede (Cardiff) Striker.

If you get gestede it will probably be on loan

Taylor would be great

Lol you can have gestede he's useless please take him off us.

NOT TRUE! maybe kilgallon but not the others

21 May 2013 22:37:45
Rudy is really a development player who would benefit from more match time in the championship. I think a good loan signing for Derby or and other Championship club with ambition.

. Jon Taylor transfer to Derby County early next week. New striker signing Tuesday fee reported £175k.

Shrewsbury players have one more week to make up thier minds

25 May 2013 13:06:58
Jon Taylor has said on twitter no championship clubs have been in touch with him yet.

21 May 2013 19:22:25
vitor pereria the porto boss has had talks with kenwright in london

He's had a meeting in London with a top 6 prem side, only can be Everton, it's all over Portugese media.

Please, please Bill do the right thing.

21 May 2013 19:09:40
Hi Ed - heard any Ipswich Town related news today? {Ed016's Note - funny you should ask, I've heard in the last hour that a deal has been agreed between the club and Macclesfield for Mathew Barnes-Homer}

MBH, had him ar Luton. If he's on form then he'll score you a few goals and cause havoc. However on the 95% of the time that he's not then he's a complete waste of space. BSP is his level, he's in NO WAY good enough for Championship.

21 May 2013 19:08:47
David Syers rumored to be spotted at VP (rumored) Don't know if it's true but I hope so

Wheres VP? {Ed003's Note - Vale Park ? }

21 May 2013 19:08:10
With Paul Dickov as the new manager, Doncaster Rovers will be bringing in a few new faces this summer. There has been a lot of talks about some of the Oldham team but they won't be good enough to cut it at championship level. Dickov himself has said that his main priority is to give any players that are still under contract a chance to prove themselves next year. Good luck to the new manager, has his work cut out for him but believe we can finish top half with the momentum we have. Some of the rumoured ins:
Powell (Loan from Man United)

Not good enough maybe we won;t let Dickov take any of our contracted players.

Furman jumped weeks ago so he's just waiting to sign.

Players he signs won;t be good enough to keep you up that's for sure.

I would expect dickov to be interested in his old squad, he's a poor manager. By the way, if our team is so bad. How can furman be good enough? He didn't get into the first 11 a lot of the time under dickov, which says how bad a player he is, if dickov actually notices it

He used approx 48 players in 32 months at Oldham.

Feel sorry for Donny as they think they have a great manager in charge now.

No we don't mate, were gutted with him being in charge.

Dickov signing as been given a resounding no by many of the fans and Furman had a clause in his loan contract of DRFC being given first shout at him at end of the season.

It doesn't really matter if you have first dibs thanks to his loan, no one is interested in furman. Including oldham. He is dire and will be found out in championship

21 May 2013 19:07:26
Swansea City are reportedly interested in Wigan defender Maynor Figueroa (good source).

Would welcome this signing

21 May 2013 19:00:02
lee camp going 2 bournemouth (FACT)

paddy madden going derby with theo robinson going other way

Rubbish he won't go to bournemouth

Bournemouth don't need him!

We have Allsopp who was immense when he came in at the back end of the season. Can't see Camp coming to sit on the Dame Judy Dench!

Why would he come here?

Saying Bournemouth don't need him doesn't mean anything! Derby didn't need to sign lee grant, we have 2 quality keepers in fielding and Legdinzs but we still signed him

Bournemouth have 3 proven 1st team keepers for our club. Camp is better than all 3 but Allsop has been great so far & showing great potential. It won't happen.

Madden likely to stay at Yeovil for start of the season at least now they've won promotion. Would take larger offer, Derby have other targets that will cost less (Madden's wage wouldn't be huge though so still possible)

Afcb are getting dunne but ireland will stay at villa so they have some experience and painter was 1 of our worst ever signings but dicker could be ok

21 May 2013 18:56:31
Matty Dolan to sign for YTFC.
Dan Burn to sign on loan.

21 May 2013 18:56:08
York City of league 2 are set to announce the signing of Ryan Bowman from Hereford Utd this week including 50k compensation. My source came from a member of groundstaff at York.

21 May 2013 18:53:20
Brighton are set to sign Richard Dunne and Stephen Ireland from Aston Villa.

Recently released Gary Dicker and Marcos Painter are set to sign for Bournemouth.

21 May 2013 20:04:16
we are not signing Marcos Painter or Gary Dicker, we are a championship side now. Painter played 2 matches for us and was soo bad we sent him back when we even needed a LB, Eddie will not want him!

Haha painter! He flopped massively at Bournemouth so can't see it. A footballer he is not

We loaned in Painter and two weeks later we got rid

Painter did decent for us (Brighton), was playing injured at Bournemouth and hadn't played in months. Painter is more than good enough for a mid table championship side and would be good enough for a team pushing for the prem if he had pace. Gary Dicker was very unlucky to be released also, would no doubt walk into the Bournemouth team

22 May 2013 00:58:40
if Brighton could afford the wages for Dunne and Ireland then automatic promotion could be on the cards for the seagulls, a gamble but a tempting one.

We're not set to sign anyone until the whole managerial mess gets sorted out. Highly doubt we would be able to afford Dunne or Irelands wages in any case.

Painter didn't get sent back. He was recalled by Brighton when Wayne Bridge got injured.

Please take Ireland & Dunne.
They are paid ridiculous amounts & are either always injured or are lazy or don't even get into the team.

We couldn't afford his wages

21 May 2013 18:49:50
Michael Laudrup will leave Swansea for Chelsea in the next few weeks as Mourinho has opted for PSG over Chelsea and Roberto Martinez will replace Laudrup as Swansea boss.

Mourinho will join Chelsea. Laudrup to Everton. No return for Martinez

I'm an Everton fan. And would love to see Mr Laudrup at Everton but I can tell you he will not be coming. Firsly £10million realise clause. Blue Bill won't pay that. And hot rumours that seem to be correct are Vitor Periera FC Porto manager is heading to Goodison as he is out of contract.

Morinho to Chelsea. Laudrup prefers to stay at Swansea City.

I'm confident that Laudrup will still be with us next season, but, if a club wants to pay £10m. for his services, leave them to it!

We're one of the only, if not the only (please correct as appropriated) premier clubs in the black. The money is there for players, no risk of investment falling through last minute and not getting a signature once agreed. We're financially sound and give our managers 100% support for the players they want. We leave the manager deal with the football and the business men deal with the money. What more does a humble manager want?

All we need now (after Laudrup) is a manager who wants a good stint with us and we'll be away!

Hes staying with swansea why keep on

Laudrup is staying at swans he has stated it his agent has stated it, he doesn't need money and knows what its like to be a star in a huge club and doesn't want that, he is happy at swansea, its stupid to even think he will leave this year

York City will announce a major coup towards the end of this week. Cresswell and Adam Reed in the running but an outside chance of Jonathan Greening returning.

21 May 2013 18:40:45
Stoke City will appoint Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their new manager in the next two weeks and is first job as Stoke manager is to sign Nigerian striker Brown Ideye. Solskjaer however faces tough opposition as Newcastle and Swansea are both looking at the Dynamo Kyiv striker as Newcastle hope to improve on a dreadful season and Swansea hope to have a good cup run in the Europa League and once again build upon another fantastic season.

Is the striker any good

Alan Curbishley off to Stoke

Stoke Candidates for Managerial Position:
Rafa Benitez - Bookies Favourite
Martin O'Neil
Gus Poyet
Roberto Di Matteo
Roberto Martinez

To the guy who said is he any good. Yes, he is great. Very good player who is good with his feet and poses a great aerial threat.

I love how you know that Solskjaer is going to stoke and know who he wants to sign.

21 May 2013 18:35:14
Mark Little and Grant McCann of Peterborough have rejected new deals. They have both agreed to sign for Rotherham and had fitness tests at the NYS today!

You'll be lucky pal, Mccann especially has the blue blood of The Posh coursing through his veins and as long as we want him he'll stay.

Grant was playing golf today so unlikely to say the least!

Little has definately held talks with the millers today not sure about mccann can't see that 1 happening

Haha another good joke there

Mark Little was at NYS today. With Scottish striker Taylor.

Little as been at NYS today for talks and the fat man as said deal is almost done for a right back!

I don't think so Grant McCann loves that club and wants to retire playing for them

Grant McCann has bought new property in the Pboro area and does not want to travel as he only lost his driving license last year

RUFC would have taken McCann a few seasons ago, but he's too old now. Also, we need wide players but already have a very strong central midfield with O'Connor, Noble, Pringle, Frecklington, Arnason, Mitch Rose plus Bradley.

22 May 2013 13:37:19
Grant McCann is staying at Peterborough, he has practically confirmed this via his twitter page.

Rotherham have signed Right back Richard Brindley.

McCann held 'productive talks' with Posh yesterday. Player coach role offered. Posh chairman sees him as a future Posh manager.

McCann is going to sign a new contract and to also start taking his coaching badges to become a coach at peterborough once he retires. The chairman also says he has the qualities to become a future manager at the club.

Gossip going around that Joe Cole to Sunderland and Lee Cattermole & Phil Bardsley to Hull

Why leave his loved club

21 May 2013 19:55:34
We don't want any of those thugs from Sunderland; apart from Elmohammady thanks

I would like that, catts too many red cards too rash, bardo upset loads of fans with his antics in casino. cole would give midfield some much needed skill

That gossip in your house

21 May 2013 18:30:01
Oldham are set to sign Jason Kennedy from Rochdale.

No thanks

21 May 2013 18:25:29
Notts County are set to sign Bury Town FC Goalkeeper Marcus Garnham, 25. Garnham is in high regard down in Bury and has often been touted as a future prospect, and County are set to take him on a free.

No chance. They have two top class keepers.

If we sell bialkowski, him and spiess could battle it out if he's as good as you say

Think if we get a bid for bart we will have to/shud sell but only if spiess signs a three year deal

21 May 2013 18:17:08
Mark Duffy seems to prefer a movie to Carlisle compared to Shrewsbury, the former Scunthorpe winger may have found a clause in his contract where he which would allow him to leave for free

He's found nowt. He will go for a fee.

He is still under contract so won't be on a free

21 May 2013 18:14:06

That will be so so so nice

Hes coming as cover for nahki wells

Aye when Rotherham play there. why would he be there otherwise

Yes he will. in the away dugout representing Rotherham.

21 May 2013 18:12:22
Gus Poyet next in at Stoke City.

Gus likes to play passing game and not long ball!

21 May 2013 19:56:27
Plus I doubt his head would fit through the dressing room door

Rafa Benitez - Bookies Favourite

Thw whole 'long ball' argument doesn't really apply when discussing a new manager does it?

I believe Mark Hughes is the bookies favourite

21 May 2013 18:08:55
Middlesbrough manager tony Mowbray is hoping to make Blackpool winger Matt Phillips his first summer signing, he is also close to signing burton Albion star jaques maghoma and arsenal starlet josh rees on a season long loan

He's off to cardiff

Birmingham and Middlesbrough are both waning to sign Jay Tabb from Ipswich. {Ed016's Note - He's a free agent}

If MP goes anywhere I'd be surprised if it's another Championship club,

Cannot see matt phillips leaving extended contract

I would expect Matt phillips to be sold this summer. Oystons naivety when it comes to contracts cannot see other player walk away for nothing next summer.

IF. PI was given any money to reinvest in new players, I would say anything offered close to £1m. Snap their hand off because he's been dissapointing at best this season.

21 May 2013 17:57:59
Bournemouth are to sign Peter Crouch from Stoke who wants to move back down south

Moving down south will be the most moving he's done in his entire career at stoke

Rather we signed Mrs Crouch. what a pair we would then have up front ( with Pitman of course)

Oh get out of it! Crouch would never come here & don't forget financial fair play.

21 May 2013 17:56:38
fulham have signed derek boateng and Fernando Amorebieta both on free transfers. Derek will wear 23 shirt.

bakary sako and yohan mollo also look to be coming

21 May 2013 17:54:03

RUMOUR OF THE WEEK. sorry don't know why but I will award this the first DCFC rumour of the week award.

Not when Leicester paid £1million for him only one year ago and still to break through after stepping up from non-league with Fleetwood. Too much like Ward and Martin and injury prone as well.

Rather see cash spent on creative midfielder/ winger who can actually beat a man for pace and cross the ball without hitting the first defender! (how many corners, free kicks and throws never beat the wall or first man last season. well over 100!). Maghoma, Beausejour, Andross Townsend. ?

You wouldn't get Beausejour or Townsend for 500k, and both on big wages compared to derby squad. Maghoma not proven consistent enough with wide play at League 2, let alone championship

21 May 2013 17:52:12

Hearing that Kevin Brands move to Ipswich might be scuppered as Wigan look to try and take him from under their nose as they look to bolster their squad for next year. They will be able to offer much more money.{Ed016's Note - Ipswich are the only team Brands wants to join, he has agreed terms, just the two clubs are struggling to agree a fee}

Difficult to see Wigan making that move while Martinez's future is uncertain.

21 May 2013 17:27:18
Allan McGregor joins Hull City!

21 May 2013 17:24:07

Jacques maghoma will not be at burton next season, confirmed by a statement made by burton albian. Middlesbrough lead the chase to get his signature, although there is competition from derby, Leicester and reading.

The deals already been confirmed with middlesbrough

21 May 2013 17:17:40
mancini at the stoke ground - with lennon poyet back room staff - stoke fans ashamed of themsleves pushed out a great manager now we face putting all the hardwork at risk. probs end up with macarthy or some other chamiponship manager and then down.

Don't get me wrong, I would love Mancini to come to Stoke, at least that way we might survive. But realistically, he will go to a better club than Stoke.

Coates is a fantastic businessman and will already have somebody in his mind lined up to progress the club in the direction he wants.
Pulis had a 3 year plan for stability then tried to push on and evolve the style of play the following 2 years and failed to do so.

I reckon Mancini will go to Milan

Id hate Mancini to come to stoke, he is too big headed and called himself the best manager in England. He spent millions on the best players only just won a premier league and an FA cup against small injury prone stoke, then he cannot keep consistency and doesn't even challenge utd to the title and loses FA cup to wigan.

21 May 2013 17:17:33
Bristol city to sign Francis jeffers for 1m

21 May 2013 18:43:44
Not happening City have a under 24 policy which he definitely isn't

Francis Jeffers has never been worth 1 million (Despite what clubs in the past have payed), maybe 1 pound? He plays for Accrington and is 31 so even IF true for a much lower fee, it won't happen

I think some of our fans have taken this under 24 thing a bit litterally, I am sure if the right player comes up at the right price we will have a go.

SOD said he wants players that will have a resale value, and you only really get that with younger men.

He didn't say we won't sign any player over 24.

That said we won't be signing Franny "Fox in the box" Jeffers.

21 May 2013 17:15:26
there is a rumour circulating that bolton are interested in bringing nicolas anelka back to the reebok, I think it is highly unlikely (due to his wages) although I would love to see this happen.
If there is a miracle and it does happen I would also love to see diouf and nolan back as bolton players, But I can only dream.

Kilmarnock close sign to Arsenal midfielder Fimpong {Ed016's Note - He's joining fulham}

I agree Ed he wouldn't move to Scottish footbal, where the quality is poor he would much rather stay in the BPL.

21 May 2013 16:03:47
ED - can you throw any light on the Brand move to Ipswich? {Ed016's Note - Only heard that the clubs are in talks with both parties but are struggling to agree a fee}

Who is brand? {Ed016's Note - Kevin Brands}

Is this jimmy briand of lyon?

21 May 2013 16:32:05
Watford are one of a number of clubs interested in 24-year-old Austrian striker Philipp Hosiner

Watford also keen on Terek Grozny winger Maciej Rybus, who has played Europa League football with Legia Warsaw previously. He's a 23-year-old Polish left winger with plenty of pace.

21 May 2013 21:16:10
After impressing on loan, Watford are attempting to sign Matthew Briggs on a permanent basis. It is reported that Briggs, who is currently on loan at Watford, is disillusioned with life at Craven Cottage and is prepared to take a wage cut to acquire more first team experience.

Briggs has done the opposite of impress on loan, he's come within a miraculous double save of ending our season prematurely, sums his time up really.

Impressing you clearly are not a watford fan. The guy is awful!

He is very prone to mistakes, but the boy does have some talent. But not a Prem player, but defo a Championship one.

Rooney going back to Everton in swap deal with Baines and Fellaini + £10 million cash. My uncle was chatting to Bill Kenwright on Sunday.

The swap is the easy bit. How do Everton pay his wages?

Baines=15-20 mil
+10 mil
Rooney isn't worth 50-60 million
Get real
Rooney for fellaini maybe.

So Everton are going to pay the equivalent of 50 mil? RW

Don't want no pie eater

Paul Dickov to raid former club Oldham for José Baxter.

Yesterday it was, FURMAN, CISAK AND MVOTO, ha ha.

nice rumour nut very untrue.

Hope donny have at least 500k to flog on him, or else you may as well look elsewhere

21 May 2013 16:02:22
Walsall have offered a trial to former Birmingham city midfielder Morgano Gomis and former Burnley midfielder Chris Mccann {Ed016's Note - These players will join championship clubs}

Are you having a laugh. mccann hasn't signed a new contract cause we won't pay him the 12,000 he wants. doubt you can offer him that. he'll go somewhere like ipswich or maybe wolves.

22 May 2013 17:32:45
That's right - Burnley wanted McCann to take a 40% cut from £10,000 to £6,000 but he asked for £12,000 a week. A club might get him for £8,000 or £9,000 a week if he cannot attract a quick offer.

Apparently he looked for offers at 12k and found nothing. Then came back to the club and accepted 7k. The board said they didn't want him anymore. Fair enough as we stood by him and paid him for 18 months when he was injured Nd offered him a new deal. Greedy.

21 May 2013 15:55:57

Wow, where do you perform? Like do you have a weekly gig? This is funny as hell.

Contenders for the Stoke Job
Rafa Benitez - Favourite
Roberton Martinez
Gus Poyet
Martin O'Neil
Roberto Di Matteo

Phil Neville will also be offered a position at Stoke as First Team Coach

Apparently Emile Heskey is up for coaching according to another poster, so why not add his name here too?

Take poyet

Poyet my pic out of that but Coates is very good friends with Rafa so I would not be suprised if he took over

O'Neill it will be

Phill Neville as number 2 unless Everton want to give him a place of Moyles wants him at Utd

Rafa would be my choice

Not phil Neville as number 2 we need an assistant with experience and to have worked with the manager we get in

21 May 2013 15:42:48

spurs are interested in signing a lot of players to make up for bale seeming to be on his way to man united they are interested in benteke from aston villa aswell aswell as villa from Barcelona and also loic remy as well as damiao aswell as jose callejon from Madrid they are also intrested in two new centre backs hummels and skertel from Liverpool also Javier hernandez from man united getting rid of adeybayor and also with Ashley cole on his way to man united means evra is on his way to spurs as Chelsea are trying to promote Bertrand as first choice tom ince, eriksen, luke shaw, McCarthy wigan, wanyama from celtic, matej vydra, Osvaldo and finally son heung min from hamburg these will be the players in the players out are bale, adebayor and dembele

Congratulations on writing the longest sentence ever managed.

Just too much rubbish there to know where to start, first Bale is signing a new contract and will not be moving this summer and suffice to say half those names mentioned as targets are simply not

The longest and most un-realistic sentence!

Much love

Bale has signed a new deal & Benteke is close to signing a new aston villa deal its said.

Really Can not see any of them happening I mean Ashley cole to man united really mate there's more chance of joe bennet going to Man U

21 May 2013 15:27:45
Adebayo Akinfenwa and Bondz N'Gala set to sign for freshly relegated Barnet. Both interested in working with Edgar Davids.

21 May 2013 15:26:11
hull city to get mladen petric on a free

21 May 2013 15:25:46
Roberto Di Matteo and Rafa Benitez are the bookies favourites for the Stoke Job

Di mattoe is favourite for Brighton

Benitez wouldn't take the Everton job, never mind Stoke. Benitez is probably going to Napoli (Champions League footy).

Benitez won't go to everton because he used to manage liverpool, dimwit

Benitez to psg. Di Matteo to stoke

Rafa wouldn't take the Everton job because of his Liverpool past. His family are settled in the Wirral and has stated before that he prefers life in the premiership. Don't think it's as an obvious choice as it sounds?

Nobody mentioned Benitez to everton :S

21 May 2013 15:25:45
Oxford are interested in signing recently released Norwich midfielder Kory Smith

This one is true. Turned down a chance to stay at Oldham to sign a (very) long-term deal at Oxford.

Won't be announced for a while mind

Would be amazed if we or any league 2 team singed Korey Smith, just cannot see it happening.

Wish Korey the best wherever he goes, great servant to Norwich and whoever gets him, being a championship or a Conferance team, he will do well

Korey did Norwich proud and played a big part in Norwich's recent rise to the PL, just unfortunate for him the speed of NCFC's rise, good luck Korey wherever to ply your trade

A bit too good for this level. Quite a coup if Oxford pull this off, however he hasn't played much football recently and isn't a high profile player so it could be plausible.

If Oxford got him on a long term deal that would be really positive for the club, as he is the kind of player who would attract much interest from higher leagues if he hit form and could attract a decent fee

Korey Smith is a decent player will do well wherever he goes outside the Premier

Would be the signing of the summer for league 2! unfortunately can't see it happening!
But if Yeovil and Oldham could afford his wages, i'm sure we could, and the long term deals we're offering could tempt him. Especially as he's from Hatfield, only an hour away from Oxford.

21 May 2013 15:33:35
Tony Pulis will take over from David Moyes and Become the new Everton Manager

I will give stoke a 10 million compensation to make sur this doesn't happen.

No chance

21 May 2013 15:31:10

1. Di Matteo
2. Benitez
3. Martinez
4. Ole Gunnar Solejson (spelling)
5. Neville
6. Girard {Ed016's Note - Solskjaer)

Lets hope its Benitez. He is currently the bookies favourite

Stoke next manager bookies favourites are something like this:
1 Rafa Benitez
2 Roberto Martinez
3 Roberto di Matteo
4 Gus Poyet
5 Mark Hughes
My Realistic favourites are:
1 Gus Poyet
2 Steve Bould
3 Alan Curbishley
4 Roberto Martinez
5 Rafa Benitez

21 May 2013 15:22:34
Boro interested in signing Wayne bridge from city on a free transfer, as well as taking jenkinson from arsenal on loan {Ed016's Note - Jenkinson won't be loaned out)

If he stays in the championship, bridgey will stay at Brighton as he has loved his time there

You got that wrong mate he has signed for Cardiff Premier League, why would he want to stay in the Championship Hmmm.

Bridge won't go to boro they haven't got enough money

21 May 2013 15:21:16
Both Oldham and Brentford are very keen to sign Tom adeyemi who has been recently released by Norwich. Know him personally and he enjoyed his time at Brentford and would prefer to sign there over Oldham however will hold out for offers from any championship side as he feels he is good enough to play at that level.

Championship ha ha he went missing in your biggest game at Wembley.

Mind you all your players bottled it. lol

This guy does not know him personally as if he did he would know that he has already agreed a contract with a big championship club.

Haha love the reply, a yeovil fan I guess?Johno senior getting promoted with a similar size team to oldham (maybe even smaller i. e budget), hope johno junior can do the same

He hasn't signed for a big championship side. He currently has no offers from the championship, guaranteed.

21 May 2013 15:13:00
Rafa Benitez may be a surprise contender for the Vacant Stoke Job. Contenders include Gus Poyet, Roberto Martinez and Martin O'Neil {Ed016's Note - O'Neil is more likely out of those, I'm hearing Mick McCarthy of Ipswich is on the shortlist)

No way would Stoke hire Mccarthy. Benitez or O'Neil wouldn't be bad

Exactly ed, there is no way some of those illustrious names, who are famous for their beautiful football, would go to hoofmerchant, football hating Stoke. An old, past it manager with a more 'direct' style is what they will get.

I would think O'neill is more of a shout

To the person who agreed with ed. Why has rafa been to stokes training ground a lot before he was at Chelsea? and football hating stoke? there's no right way of playing football if anything stoke play proper football before it became a no contact game, proper tackles proper men proper football

Stoke were only a hoof ball team under Pulis, he's gone now.

It isn't the club that hate football it was the managers tactics. You obviously don't know the history of our football club.

And how I will miss those tactics, people moan at us being hoof ball team because they couldn't deal with us. If stoke were easily beaten people wouldn't care how we played its because we've been successful and difficult to play against

21 May 2013 15:20:02
due to the friendship between Clarke and mourinho this means lukaku back on loan and possibly piazon on loan from them aswell, coates on loan from Liverpool for the season with gunter to bust the defence the money they get from the sale of odemwingie for around 2-3 million to either hull or qpr will raise the funds needed for mbokani from Anderlecht for around 3-4 million also in a fight to sign Charlie Austin from burnley but with sunderland, villa, Fulham and the baggies all interested in him malouda will join the baggies due to the fact he wants first team football on a free transfer also di santo from wigan is a possible signing along with wigan team mate mcmanaman who has interested a lot of premier league teams the both of them so will struggle to sucure them but are transfer targets also Sinclair from man city and finally Redmond from Birmingham is in talks with the baggies over a move.

So nothing major then just a brand new first 11

Mac has signed a new contract with Wigan hasn't he?

You do realise you can only loan one player from another perm club. {Ed016's Note - it's 2}

Rafa Benitez to Stoke

21 May 2013 15:13:35
Burnley ins

Tom Heaton - Bristol City - Done
Nick Liversedge - Whitby Town - Done
Gonzalo Jara - West Brom
John Taylor - Shrewsbury
Harry Forrester - Brentford
Kevin Davies - Bolton
Danny Haynes - Charlton

Also expect at least two more central midfielders to arrive

They won't sign davies! He has nothing to offer the team. The others seem quite realistic though!

Not kevin davies, haynes or jara. will get a couple of years at best from them. such better talent out there.

21 May 2013 19:58:18
Lukaku will probably go elsewhere on loan to play europa league unfortunatley. This is due to the fact he wants experienve to get in to the chelsea squad.

21 May 2013 20:00:57
Lukaku will go elsewhere unfortunately as he want european experience. It would be great if he came back but I thunk we need to get some fast and young skillfull wingers with pace.

To be fair if lukaku joins Swansea or everton he's got like 6 games in Europe, he would be better off coming back to westbrom and getting a better goal scoring tally, 20 goals?

Forrester will never go to burnley

21 May 2013 15:08:43
Rafa Benitez and Martin O'Neil Favourites to replace Tony Pulis and become manager at Stoke City

Benitez is also meeting with a serie A club according to talk tripe.

Actually di matteo is favourite despite being unlikely to go imo

Richard wood looks to be on his way out off Coventry a few teams interested in him are Swindon, Yeovil and Brentford but Yeovil are favourites due to they're recent promotion, maghoma is in Presley's sights but again Yeovil and Bournemouthare both interested but due to location he may make the moves to the sky blues vardy is a striker that the sky blues are interested in also Collins is another striker they are intrested in a possible frank moussa plus cash bid for him could be in place they will be looking at higher end loans from the premier league but is all down to weather Hoffman buys the club

Woody was released last week so there is no "looks to be on his way out" about it.

Andy Iro, Following His Release From Stevenage Without Having Played A Single Game, Is Set To Stay Down South And Is In Talks With The Following:

Barnet Football Club - Iro Spent The Majority Of Last Season On Loan At Underhill, Although Now In The Conference, He Might Shy Away From This Move.

Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club

Southend United Football Club

Don't think we need another cb, prosser and cresswel will be solid given time. but prosser just needs to bulk up a bit

Are we talking the same luke prosser here?! he's dreadful, def need to bring in a new centre back! even doubts about cresswell staying, he's a northerner through and through, would love to move back "home"!

Iro spent 2 or 3 months at Barnet hardly the majority of the season

Cresswell Is Definitely Staying. He Isn't Homesick. How Much Do You "Fans" Really Know? Your Blues Knowledge Is Dreadful.

Did you see any games prosser has been good, you just like the guy that sits infront of me a pessimist always moaning

Prosser Had A Decent Season Last Season. let's Hope He Signs The New Deal! UTB

If it was up to me I would of had prosser in the top 3 for POTY think his improved a great amount

RM shaks, what makes you so sure you have ALL the knowledge?!
And not a pessimist, just honest! prosser is dreadful! that's not moaning that is having an opinion!

Another umbongo, nobody signing for Southend

Well if you think he is dreadful then you did see him play this season

Yes I did see him play and would expect better from a pro footballer! he wouldn't even get in concord rangers starting lineup. next you'll be saying straker is a quality player!

I agree on straker, i'm guessing you think phil smith is good, if we had a better keeper who came of his line would have been atl east in the play offs

Iro has gone to America

Paul Smith Is Our Keeper. Phil Smith Plays For Portsmouth.

21 May 2013 12:43:25

Adebayo Akinfenwa is on his way out of Northampton according to his recent tweet
"I want to thank the staff players & especially the FANS for making my time at NTFC memorable, it was special. God bless you all #BMO"
Sources say Plymouth Argyle are the favourites for his signature.

Signing for Oxford

He would be an incredible signing! the season just gone when we played northampton at home, he had banter with the crowd & by the end of the game the fans were singing "sign him up". top signing

No there not mate, I know joe well and his not going anywhere

Haha would be a bit of a novelty to have Akinfenwa banging in the goals

Who are the sources?

21 May 2013 18:21:40
100 percent plymouth will b in playoffs nxt year a lot more come insider at pafc nxt wk

Sign him on Argyle! exactly what we need, Griffiths and Chadwick failed to be the big centre forward we needed last year, Akinfenwa would not dissapoint. I see Schumacher has signed for Fleetwood from Bury, he would have been a great signing for us. He'll excell in Lg 2.

What banter did he have with the crowd?

21 May 2013 23:22:20
we will pay him pasties hope he comes PAFC

The banter was "one more pasty and you're dead" etc.

21 May 2013 14:54:28
West ham have apparently turned to La Liga striker to bolster attacking options.

West Ham appear to have given up hope of keeping on-loan Liverpool striker Andy Carroll, and have made an approach for Sevilla's Alvaro Negredo. The Hammers have been keen to land Carroll on a permanent basis beyond his loan spell this season, but it has been hinted by his team-mate Kevin Nolan that he would prefer to be playing European football. This would leave a huge hole up front for the hammers and Negredo has been identified as a possibility however its believed Negredo wants to join a club with European ambitions so Hammers will have to go back to the drawing board

21 May 2013 14:54:14
Norwich are extremely interested in signing Wigan winger Callum McManaman and are preparing to battle against other teams such as Fulham, Swansea and Aston Villa.

Source: Member of staff at club

I've heard this as well!

Hes out for 3 months, no team will buy him untill january.

21 May 2013 16:38:04
On the contrary, Norwich have a history of taking on players while injured. It is clear the boy is talented and if it means that we have to sign him while injured to make sure that we get in ahead of our rivals we have shown we are willing. Pilkington had a broken leg when we signed him and missed a similar amount of time before making his debut for us.

I' like to see this happen.

I would take this signing every day of the week

I live in Reading, one of my friends is good friends with David Mcnally and lives near him when he stays in Reading, I am aware that Norwich are interested in a Wigan player, i'm guessing that it is McManaman

Hope its true good player very good player its what we need

Would be a good signing for Norwich. Norwich have no issues in signing injured players. For good reason.

1. The fact that they are injured can influence the price downwards.
2. The selling team is already starting to set up to play without him and is adjusted to the loss already.
3. There is less disruption to the team the injured player joins as he is not an immediate threat to anyone's place.
4. It is a bit of an ego boost for the player who despite the frustration of being injured is clearly wanted nonetheless.

Good prospect still got a bit to prove and would have a stupid price tag

The price may depend on the contract the player has i. e. release clauses in the case of relegation. If his agent has done his job properly then the price should not be unreasonable. The lad deserves to play prem football and he isn't going to improve himself in the Championship.

Sounds great, just hope it's true.

McManaman to Norwich?. get real. There are big clubs looking at this boy.

Hope we get him as would be a good stepping stone too the top the way he was playing at the end of last season

They may well be looking at him but will they give him games?

Scott Sinclair took an offer from a big club and look what happened.

Bye bye playing career. Hello seat.

What are you going on about? Sinclair went to the Champions of England. Are you seriously comparing Norwich to Man City by using the word "Big Club". Unbelievable

21 May 2013 14:42:03
Tom Soares could join Morecambe or Fleetwood Town this summer

No way would it be Morecambe who are unable to compete with the buying power of the Fleetwood Chairman. That's the advantage of owning the club and having your business offices based at the football club which brings a load of tax advantages.

You can have him, no doubt he will be another player who will be on mega wages like Schumacher. We won't be bringing in players on high wages that's why a few have been shown the door to cut costs. Fleetwood will never learn.

21 May 2013 14:41:26
St. Johnstone are amongst a host of SPL, Championship and League 1 clubs interested in signing Scott Arfield who will be a free agent and the end of the season.

21 May 2013 14:40:07
Stevenage have had an ambitious bid for Preston skipper John Mousinho rejected. Peter Ridsdale has made it clear the midfielder is not for sale.

If that was true anything from a tin of beans upwards would have been accepted.

Hope you don't mean Heinz baked beans, because Mousinho is not worth that much, maybe Aldi or Lidl beans. Hope Westley takes Beardsley & Byrom with him aswell, Today's Special : buy, one get t:wo free!

Its not true, we have no bloody money for an ambitious bid, Stevenage will be looking to comb the lower leagues for rough diamonds this season

Mousinho will come good for pne, and they will end up selling him on, same for laird except he is already good, some of westleys signings were poor but not this one.

21 May 2013 14:38:57
Anderson could be moving back to Porto on a seasons long loan.

To replace Steven Defour who is Norwich bound.

21 May 2013 14:38:52
Swindon's Aden Flint will join Brentford, Preston or MK Dons this summer on a free transfer

Impossible he's contracted to Swindon for another season so will only leave for cash if he does at all

Do you know what you are talking about? Flint had a contract extension on his year so he will cost no less than £500k his distribution is shocking and panics on the ball descent in the air but wouldn't anybody being 6ft 7 I would be happy for him to go, he also got sent off 3 times, make up another story that has some truth.

It won't be a free transfer as the club have exercised their 1 year option on player

Not happening

I'd expect him to be joining somebody better than the 3 mentioned, STFC has refused his transfer request and have activated a years extension to his current contract, he may leave but he'll attract a fee I'd say between 250K-500K.

Well once he's in the air of course he'll descend!

Won't be free as Swindon have just activate the extra year on his contract

If he's so poor how do get to him being worth £500K? if anything that's the most ridiculous thing about this rumours.

Jose Bosingwa is expected to sign for Fulham this summer

I pity Fulham if they do sign this useless ex Chelsea QPR player, just a big mercenary player, absolute crap, the sooner he leaves the premiership the better.

I don't think Jol is stupid enough to buy a player who laughs at being relegated. He takes the money and doesn't try and we have just signed Reither who has been one of the best Full backs in the league this season who has half the wages is twice as good and tries super hard. I think this rumour has been written by a QPR fan to worry Fulham fans as QPR fans hate us just to get us worried but we definitely won't be buying him.

We can't afford his wages and we just signed Reither. This is not going to happen.

Ha you been on the pipe m8 he will not join Fulham when we have Reither. Heard Taarabt on loan to Fulham though

Port Vale are close to signing Kaid Mohamed from Cheltenham.

Hes off to Wrexham

Get the deal done so chelt can sign a replacement

He won't play in the Conference, he's had offers from League 1 and League 2 clubs.

Good, he's a pile of s#*t anyway. Like playing with a bronze goalkeeper on fifa

Mohammed is a great player and Cheltenham will miss him next season. Not only did he score 7 goals this season, but he got 7 assists.
We will miss him unless Yates can bring in a decent League 1 left footed winger who can cross the ball.
Mohammed is being chased by Port Vale, Newport County and Bristol City.

21 May 2013 14:28:35

Tony Pulis will leave Stoke and will be replaced by Martin O'Neil with John Robertson as Assistant

John Robertson didn't move to Sunderland with MON because his kids were taking their exams and he didn't want to up root them.

But the exams will have finished in the summer and Mrs Robertson may just be up for a move

MON missed John at Sunderland

O neil useless person if we get him we will go down next year

O'neill useless?
Wycombe - Back to back promotions, he almost got 3, won the johnstones paint trophy twice.
Leicester - 4 or 5 top ten premier league finishes, 2 league cups.
Celtic - 3 Scottish premier league titles, 3 Scottish cups and a Scottish league cup
Aston villa - finished 6th thrice and top ten numerous times.
He has reached quite a few finals the Europa and league cup with villa
So yeah quite useless

Ive always rated O'Neill up until last season, he seemed to have no control or decent approach when in charge of sunderland

21 May 2013 14:23:57
Nigel Adkins is considering a £1.5 million swoop to bring Southampton flop Billy Sharp to Reading. Sharp is thought to be looking for a new club after finding first team places scarce at Southampton, and a deal between them and Nottingham Forest to make his loan move permanent has broken down. Adkins is thought to be an admirer of Sharp despite not handing him as many first team appearances as he would have liked at the Saints.

In no way was Billy Sharp a flop for Southampton. Contributed a lot in the final push for promotion and was wrongfully not given a chance in the Premiership despite having a good pre-season! Any championship would be lucky to sign him!

What a great goal poacher sharp was for Doncaster, saints and notts forest certainly not a flop his goals helped to get us up. Is it sour grapes as he may be back with Adkins again.

21 May 2013 14:14:25
Francis Jeffers look set to be on his way to Bristol rovers

Whats he going to be doing there?

Would score loads of goals if he ends up at rovers plus think he would injoy it there it's a great club

I genuinelly hope this isn't true - the lad is useless now (showed that at Accrington).

Simeon Jackson has flown on the Norwich transfer jet to Leeds, and will then drive to the riverside to discuss terms for a 3 year contract at the riverside

21 May 2013 13:25:39
Korey Smith & Tom Adeyemi both released by Norwich are targets for both Doncaster and Oldham

Both these players are young and talented. The only reason Norwich are letting them go is because they need regular first team football to progress which is the one thing the Canaries can't give them. Any League 1 or 2 team who can sign them should, they won't disappoint.

I can tell you with 1000000% certainty that Adeyemi will not sign for these teams. as the former Norwich youngster has already signed a pre-contract agreement with a big championship club.

Both been loaned to the above places, entirely possible

I know for a fact that Adeyemi has already signed a contract with a big championship club. No idea about Korey Smith on the other hand.

21 May 2013 13:09:41

BBC Leicestershire reporting that Leicester City are looking at a £2m move for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Ryan Harley.

Yes please I will volunteer to drive him up there for he signing.

Harley a league one player

You can have him for 200k if you like

Why? I'm a Brighton fan and I think he's not worth the boots he wears, let alone £2m

Lmao. 2 quid maybe. Is this Mrs Harley again?

He is so not worth 2 million have him for that much

They can have him for £2m been out on loan most of season in league one! UTA

21 May 2013 19:39:51

It appears that West ham are very close to signing Razvan Rat from Shakhtar Donetsk. They are alos said to be very interested in signing Micheal Essien as replacement for Mo Diame and West ham have also held talks with Wilfried Bony who wants £80k a week.

Rat looks certain. Would like Essien to replace Diame if he did go. I just can't see us getting bony

21 May 2013 12:34:28
Watford and Crystal Palace are both looking like they will make a move for Inverness CT's young Irish u-19 Midfielder, Conor Pepper.

To the person who has apparently seen Watford play this season and thinks Briggs is half decent. In my opinion he has been poor, given away sloppy goals and is a liability.

briggs is class he makes a big difference when he comes on

Briggs is a liability and certainly doesn't improve the team

Briggs is class?
Briggs is horrific and Gives up on every challenge! He scored one tap in when we won 4-0 and he thinks he is gods gift.
If you think Briggs is clad then you're probably related to him.
The only impact he makes is a negative one.

I thought this post was about pepper.

21 May 2013 12:22:42
Bristol City have not yet made a bid for Swindon's Aden Flint. The club have watched the player, and are likely to make a bid of around 150k

21 May 2013 15:12:11
why pay a fee when he is a free agent

He's not a free agent, that's why. City have had a bid rejected for him

Swindon activated a year option on Flint, meaning they are intitled to a fee if anyone wants him this summer.

The lad has slapped in a transfer request because he is put out at being denied the chance to move.

Bristol City have had two bids, the latest around £250k turned down.

This was all on the Swindon local rags website yesterday.

Newly-promoted Hull have opened talks over a potential £5m move for Burnley striker Charlie Austin.

Sounds fair. Good price for a good player! ( more likely to be a bit lower though)

21 May 2013 12:13:30
Reading interesnt in bringing in Charlie Austin to replace Pavel Pogrebnyak. Price is looking around the £3 million mark.

Austin is worth at least double that to Burnley. i'd have him in a heartbeat but Burnley won't sell for less than £6m

Hope this is true but doubt it at 3mill maybe 5 or 6 mill

21 May 2013 12:12:10
Reading are in talks with Southampton to sign want away striker Billy Sharp for around £750,000

Absolutely no chance for 2 reasons, 1) £750,000 is probably not even half of what Southampton would want. And 2) billy Sharp hates Nigel Adkins for not believing in him and spoiling his chance at premier league football.

21 May 2013 14:47:04
Sharp is staying at Forest, he will sign for them.

How would you know that he hates Adkins? A lot of guess work there. I think it was Cortese he was more annoyed at. Billy has said he has two years left on his contract with us. We will see what happens.

Think you are looking at the wrong player from Southampton. Far more likely for Reading to take Chaplow, Martin or one of the other players who got on particularly well with Adkins during their time here who are no longer in contention for the main team. Sharp had a poor relationship with Adkins however so is unlikely to follow him especially with a poor bid like £750k.

Sharp cost Saints around £3 million. We might take a bit of a loss due to wanting to sell him quickly and get him off the wage bill since he has no future here. However there is competition for his signature. Lots of championship teams are interested. So we won't be selling him for under £1. 5-2million.

Sharp cost us 1.8 million

21 May 2013 11:18:08
Lee Novak, Tom Clarke and Chris Humphrey will be confirmed as Preston North End players before June 1st. The only other signing Simon Grayson has in the pipe line after the trio of free agents is the well speculated possibility of a Deepdale return for Norwich City's Declan Rudd.

Lee Novak and Chris Humphrey still have half a dozen clubs chasing them from League 1 and the Championship.

Thought Tom Clarke was signing yesterday according to the LEP. bet his medical pulled up something nasty as he's been sidelined because of his injuries and that's why he's only played twenty odd games in 3 years.

The same lee novak that's signed for blues today yeah?

Noval just signed for Birmingham

21 May 2013 11:09:04
Ipswich are firming up their interest in Brands. The player is rumoured to be travelling to Suffolk next week to discuss terms and have a medical, before he leaves for a 2 week holiday.

21 May 2013 07:23:11
Any news on Beckford ED {Ed001's Note - only that he is likely to leave. About time he grew up and sorted his attitude out really. It has already cost him his future at Everton, it is putting potential buyers off now.}

And what attitude is this. Do you know the guy personally. {Ed001's Note - nope but I do know why he was sold by Everton after just one season where he scored goals. Only one person to blame for that, himself.}

Doesn`t have attitude problem according to Grayson and Robins. Does have huge current contract that means all but a few can afford to take on his current contract.

If Beckford wants to play most weeks if fit he should lower his wages demands and come back to Huddersfield. Otherwise he will flit from club to club not playing regular on season long contracts. Could become a bit of a journey man. Proved with us last season he can still do he when comes to games with the right head on. Needs to sort out hid priorities then make his agent sort it out.

Beckford has chased the money throughout his career, there's only one club he could settle down at and that is Leeds.

21 May 2013 12:08:25
Atletico Madrid are still unsure about where Falcao will be moving to this summer. It was thought that Ligue 2 champions Monaco were the favourites, but Chelsea have now pushed in front of the queue for the 27-year old, ahead of Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Oxford set to sign former barnsley striker jason scotland!

21 May 2013 12:25:04
Just signed a new contract

He's just signed a contract for next season, so I doubt it

To late sign 1 year deal with barnsley

He's already signed a 1 year extension at Barnsley, good effort though

He's just signed a year extension!

You must be deluded, if you think Jason Scotland would not get a better offer than L2 Oxford.
But if you had done your home work, you would know he signed a new deal last week,

Young Mexican LB set to join Hull City!

21 May 2013 11:55:03
The rumour that keeps popping up is Kenwyne Jones going to Cardiff or Swansea. as a Cardiff fan and lived in Stoke for the past 24 years I will quite happily drive Jones down to Swansea tomorrow. Stokebluebird

Nice one mate, I love it! Fellow bluebird.

And I'll chip in for the petrol.

He's not going to swansea. They don't want him anymore now they are in pole to sign aspas

I dout Swansea will pay 5 mill for him there after way better players than him! The la liga market is way better this is just a sad rumour this deal is not happening!

. and I will close the M4 at Port talbot to make sure he stays with ladybirds

Malky MacKay's first signing for Everton perhaps?

I like it up the swans

Cardiff paying 7 mill ant they for jones go on do it

Keeping on saying don't want jones going for aspas

I will pay his petrol to go to cardiff

How about Kenwyne Jones going to Liverpool? the Irish muse always seems to go for Swansea players or transfer targets

Yes liverpool are after aspas now

21 May 2013 11:51:28

21 May 2013 11:45:05
Dutch winger Willie Overtoom is set to undergo a medical at Ipswich Town ahead of a £600,000 move, whose deal for Kevin Brands is in danger of breaking down.

I honestly doubt we'll spend that much on any player this close season.

Bristol Rovers will announce that Jamie Cureton is to become player/assistant.

Ward stated he wanted someone with either Managerial or assistant managerial experience - Jamie may be signing but he won't be the assistant Manager at Bristol Rovers.

SHAKERS! Bury look set to announced they have recieved the necessary investment to save the club on Wednesday. Current Director David Manchester has said the 4 investors wish to remain un-named at this time but potentially could buy more shares in the club in order to gain more control. Apparently, the first order of business once the transfer embargo is lifted will be to offer Tom Soares a two year deal.

Another rumour saying wednesday as the announcement day

21 May 2013 19:21:25
I've heard that Fenton is on holiday so does this mean we av to wait for him to get back

21 May 2013 11:33:09
Have been told West Brom are confident of getting Lukaku again next season. Helped by friendship of Clarke and Mourinho.
This will not stop the pursuit of Mbokani. They are looking at playing them together. Wages saved from Odemwingie will fund this.

What about shane long can't really leave him out can you?

Shane Long Is a trier but he hasn't got the power to worry defenders like Lukaku. His best attribute is his speed going past players and getting on the end of crosses. doesn't score enough goals though and that's the bottom line. wouldn't be unhappy if we bought strikers in with a better goals per game ratio and sold Long for good money to balance the books.

Long will be used more as an impact player from the bench I would say

Long still the best striker at the club IMO

21 May 2013 11:30:19
Bristol City and Bradford have made enquires about Defender Aden Flint of Swindon who has just handed a transfer request fee somewhere near £300k

The club won't sell unless £500k is given, he is nothing special. To be honest just a big tall lump who can't pass and is easily wound up.

Just what bristol city need then so that will be a good deal- citytillidie

21 May 2013 10:47:30
Huddersfield Town are looking to bring in a central midfielder with Charlton's Dale Stephens, recently released Cardiff midfielder Stephen McPhail and Oldham star Jose Baxter rumoured to be interesting Mark Robins

Baxter will cost you a million as he has a 2yr contract left yet.

Buy Stephens as we get a sell on for him as welll will go nice, ly with our cup money.

21 May 2013 14:16:44
If Aston Villa couldn't tempt Charlton to let go of Dale Stephens, what make you think Huddersfield will?

If Stephens been released you won't get a sell on he will be a free transfer

Because huddersfield are better than aston villa, stupid question

Well because he's really not very good, which we didn't realise at the beginning of the season

So sorry we would get our sell on if sold.

Get your facts right.

He is on the transfer list

21 May 2013 10:45:52
Ashley Vincent in talks with League 1 new comers Rotherham United after rejecting a new deal with Port Vale.

Vincent has already said he won't be coming to rotherham. We can do better than him too.

Steve evans has already stated he doesn't want to sign vincent.

This is wrong as he as come out and said he won't be moving to rotherham. I am a rotherham fan and I don't want him if I am honest. League two player bottom end league one so he can stay away for me

21 May 2013 10:35:04
Huddersfield Town are interested in Cardiff City midfielder Stephen McPhail, who is leaving on a free transfer this summer.

Too old and does not fit into DH's philosophy.

21 May 2013 10:31:46
Craig Alcock is set to be a target for newly promoted bornmouth as they hope a move closer to home my tempt the defender!

21 May 2013 10:20:17
Leicester set to do their business early again this season. Expect deals to be tied up by July for Alex Baptiste, Graham Dorrans and Sylvain Ebanks-Blake.

Also expect a move for Nathan Redmond at Birmingham for around £1m

I know Birmingham have a habit of selling players well below market value, but a million for Redmond really would be taking the micky!

21 May 2013 12:25:51
Birmingham are skint, Redmond will go for £1m maximum, Leicester are one of a few clubs in for him though.

Expect a few other to leave Birmingham as well

21 May 2013 12:35:58
You won't be getting Dorrans either.

21 May 2013 14:45:17
I can't see Leicester getting Dorrans or Redmond.

21 May 2013 10:08:13
Leicester are targeting 7 new players to spearhead their promotion push next season they are said to be:
Alex baptiste
Andrew Taylor
Tongo Doumbia
Harry Forester
Graham Dorrans
Dwight Gayle
Abel Camara
To sign these players they need to offload a few, the players departing this summer are:
Neil Danns
Jermain Beckford
Richie Wellens
Paul Gallagher
Martyn Waghorn

Easier said than done with players like danns and beckford who are under contract and on huge wages.

21 May 2013 11:27:09
As soon as you mention Forrester you lose credibility! He may have some skill but he is injury prone, unfit, can't tackle and does not track back.

Taylor is staying at cardiff

21 May 2013 14:50:24
Havent Peterborough said that Gayle is only going for mega bucks, can't see you getting Dorrans or Baptiste either.

The new manager may have different targets. They must get rid of some high earners before committing to an even larger wage bill to comply with FFP. Any signings though will be delayed due to a management change and so will miss out on some targets.

21 May 2013 10:02:45
Barnet's Ricky Holmes is on Guy Whittingham's radar after he turned down the opportunity to sign for Leyton Orient. Very reliable source.

21 May 2013 14:56:59
Has been all over twitter. Holmes wanted to go to Southend originaly, so he must feel he is more comfortable in League 2. In that case the O's can do better.

Also, has Portsmouth still got that 10 point deduction hanging over them?

Obviously not confident enough to play in League 1. As has been said, we can get someone who is proven in our league. no big deal.

Agree, no confidence. Holmes has never made that step-up to Div One, and is unproven. If he prefers to play at Div 2 level, he is certainly not good enough for the O's.

Not Confident Enough? He Tweeted He Wants To Play For Southend. That Doesn't Show He Isn't Confident. That Shows He Doesn't Want To Play For His Team's Local Rivals. (Holmes Is A Southend Fan)

22 May 2013 17:33:00
Southend issued with another winding-up petition

May not be a southend fan for much longer

Southend fan or not. He prefers to play in Div 2 = no confidence.

Who are Southend's rivals?
Certainly not Orient.

^^^ southend and orient are rivals mate. the fans don't like each other

21 May 2013 09:11:16
Jacques Maghoma from Burton Albion has emerged as Coventry City's first target after the embargo is lifted. Pressleys been impressed with his 2012-13 season and wants to take a goal scoring midfielder across the Midlands and to the former Premier League club.

Coventry City are not under a transfer embargo. The holding company is in administration and they are two separate entities.

No were are under a transfer embargo

No we are not. You cannot buy sell or release players during an embargo. We have done just that.

No cause that's saying when we let Bigi go last year we weren't under a embargo when we were when we let spammy clingan go we were under a embargo and we are now under a embargo

If we wanted do to sign a free contract we could do. That is not an embargo. We have transfer restrictions that's all.

Collins this year couldn't sign him even though he was a free agent

You can relsease/ sell players under embargo, but can not sign new players.

21 May 2013 09:36:50
plymouth are in talk with Oxford midfielder Peter Leven

21 May 2013 09:32:46
Birmingham to sign ebanks Blake on a free.

21 May 2013 09:31:34
Top 5 CTFC transfer rumours, based on this site but also other sources both internet and non-internet based:

Ashley Eastham - Blackpool
Conor Hourihane - Plymouth
Peter Leven - Oxford
Matt Richards - Shrewsbury
Chris Robertson - Preston

Remember money is tight so would not imagine that all 5 will make it, especially given that some would command compensation for their former clubs.

Enjoy paying for Leven's wages if money's tight.

Leven was on around £3k a week at oxford, far too much for someone who spends most of his time injured. However if you can keep him fit, he could do the job in the championship. Not sure he will end up at Plymouth, they have less money that OUFC. I would say Portsmouth would be more likely if they wanted a CM

Hourihane going nowhere - has signed 2 year deal with the Greens.

How have Oxford got more money than plymouth

Richards is a class act, we shouldn't have released him.

21 May 2013 09:28:40
with the money from gaitan leaving and winning the liga portuguesa and getting to the europa league final benfica will try to get danny from zenit petesburg

Funny that porto won the league

21 May 2013 09:14:18
sunderland intrested in bridcutt from brighton a hardworking and talented cm.

He won't go up north Sunderland would have to pay 10 million for him

He is signing a new contract tomorrow. Source: Liam's Cousin.

He's under contract until 2015 already. Doubt very much he's going to sign anything whilst we don't have an active manager.

21 May 2013 08:59:57
Bradford City are set to sign David Syers on a one year contract from Doncaster after Dickov has made his plans already for next season

Yes seen Syers at vp today

21 May 2013 15:24:32
Doubt it only reason syers wasn't starting was because of injury and lack of match fitness

I doubt it very much. Sayers will be a big part of Rovers team next season.

That's strange seeing as he's tweeting from Marbella on his stag do.

Please be true, Syers is just the player we need with Jonesy and Ravo knocking on.

21 May 2013 08:55:21
Anthony Grant, Following His Release From Stevenage FC Could Return To Southend United. Minor Talks Have Already Begun

Absolutely no chance would he return to Roots Hall

He has been transfer listed not released

He would def return to southend!

Granty is NOT in talks with Southend. Utter garbage.

He Is. How Do You Know He Isn't? My Source Is My Neighbour Who Works At The Club. try Saying he ain't in talks now!

He was good for us but he could easily get a move to another league 1 side and continue to move foward

21 May 2013 08:46:31
Marc Tierney to sign from Bolton from Norwich as was discussed on here a few weeks ago.

21 May 2013 08:23:19
Lee Novak from Huddersfield who has been released linked to Bristol City.

He has also expressed a desire to stay in the North and Preston North End are favorites

Also been linked to hibs

I think you'll find the BCFC he's been linked with is Birmingham City, not bristol

Gone to birmingham folks, 3 year deal, lee looking afterlee geordies sticking togeher

21 May 2013 08:22:54
Hull are set to bid 6M for Burnley striker Charlie Austin after being outpriced by Blackburn for Jordan Rhodas

6 million. you've got to be kidding

He is worth £ 4 million

I'm a betting man, and I bet Charlie Austin leaves Burnley for more than 4 million pounds. If he does come to Hull and we only pay 4 million, that will be an absolute steeeeel. But I also believe Bournemouth are favorites to sign him!

21 May 2013 08:29:11

Rumours in Nottingham that Simon Gillet will be signing for you

Why not, we weem to get all the forest rejects so come on up gillet (minie me)

21 May 2013 08:03:47
Ashley Vincent could be set to join Portsmouth FC this week and sign a two year contract after failing to agree a new contract with Port Vale.

Vincent did not have a really good game after the Oxford match live on TV. He struggled to beat his m, an after half a season - people wised up to the fact he pushes the ball past and runs rather than any trickery. Not sure he is a Division One player

21 May 2013 07:56:20
Dean Gerken to join Leyton Orient on a free, he was supposed to join in January but there was a problem with the £4,000 a week wages that Orient didn't want to pay, the wages have been sorted and he will sign a 2 year deal, Gerken who's comes from Rayleigh in Essex is looking forward to returning home

This Rumour could be right, although I heard that Russ was looking at a keeper from Rotherham.
Gerken certainly ticks all the boxes though.

Will be a pretty good back up 'keeper to have.

Better keeper than jones, will end up first choice

If he was returning HOME he would be joining southend!

With our reduced wage bill can't see us paying 3/4k a week for a back up keeper!

Won't happen. We don't have enough money to pay for backup like that. Not a chance.

It will be Jones with Grainger as back up, If we need another keeper it will be a loan.

21 May 2013 07:55:06
Jernade Meade might come to county on a free can play in left back or wing position

21 May 2013 10:31:16
Which County?

21 May 2013 07:47:14
Jordan Ayew is on Fulham's radar along with Yohan Mollo of St Ettiene ( on loan at Nancy).

The whites have signed Derek Boateng & Amorebieta & are also close to completing deals for Bakary Sako & wait for it. Clint Dempsey! Yes folks Spurs are to have a big clear out & Clint will join on loan ala Pienaar.

Dempsey won't join on loan he will either come back on a permanent basis or go to some other club. I know he is a decent player but Fulham fans don't like him and he wouldn't want the grief.

I'm also confused what do you mean by ala pienaar

May I ask if Jordan Ayew moved would that mean his older bro Andre moved as well as they are from the same club and they're family would probably like to stay together. Andre is probably the better of the two and he along with his bro would be great additions it we can get them for a good price.

We don't want him back! Good riddance

21 May 2013 06:27:15
hi ed do you much on the rooney saga part 2 and who wants him {Ed001's Note - nothing sorry, there is not a lot of interest in him that I know of. He struggles to speak English, so most clubs are wary of his ability to learn another language. Huge wages and a lack of fitness are also offputting.}

21 May 2013 06:26:11
hi ed who is interested in mats hummels? personally I would like to see him in a utd shirt {Ed001's Note - Barca.}

21 May 2013 04:43:30
Yeovil looking at signing recently released Arsenal LB/LM, Jernade Meade, Seen as a future premier league player, would cost nothing due to being released and will be ideal replacement for 35 yr old Jamie Mcallister, Also looking at bringing in ex Norwich Youngster Korey Smith, who had a loan spell early in the season

Korey Smith would be a great signing for you, is a good little player.

Korey is a free agent now and I don't think it'l be long before someone snaps him up!

Nah he played for us this season. Though he wasn't necesarily that bad I don't think he's championship worthy

21 May 2013 01:29:38
Right regarding West Brom. You've heard here first.

Coates one year loan
Mbokani 4m
Sako 3m
Redmond one year loan
Gunter 1m

Odemwingie 3m to Hull
Thomas free
Rosenberg free
Fortune free
Dorrans loan to Middlesborough
Olsson 2m to West Ham

Rosenberg on a free? He's on a 3 year contract, Mr Peace is not in the habit of "giving players away". Jonas Olson is 1 year into a 4 year contract with a £4 mill buy out. Why would Dorrans be loaned anywhere, he started / was involved in majority of games 2nd half of the season, if he leaves, he will be sold not loaned. Poor info here chap!

Gunter is a bosman from the top.
Olsson you having a laff, together with Dorrans.
Were you bored, not a dry night?

Possibly the most ludicrous thing iv read on here yet Olson and Dorians have been a major part of this campaign why on earth would Steve Clark off load them

I have also heard myhill wants to come back to the kc on a 2 million pound deal with jecovic going the other way

21 May 2013 12:47:36
Olsson has a £3.5m release clause for specific clubs, and if none of those clubs come in he said he's happy to stay at the hawthorns! Dorrans is still on the transfer list so it's possible he will go!

I have also heard that Messi wants to move to Sheffield Wednesday. Utter crap!

Myhill has also just signed a new deal a few months ago.

21 May 2013 16:56:40
Olsson has a £3.5 million buy out clause which relates to only 6 top clubs. West Ham are not among them. Yes he has stated he would like to live in London but the fee would have to be far more than the release fee, more likely in the region of £6-10 million

21 May 2013 01:13:01
Unconfirmed reports suggest that Ipswich Town have made a move for former wide midfielder Darren Ambrose.

Ambrose is out of favour at St Andrews and is reportedly looking to revive his career at the club he started with.

Mick McCarthy is also looking at Lee Camp, Richard Stearman and Vancouver Whitecaps youngster Omar Salgado.

I heard from a reliable source that if ipswich sell chopra there going to put a realistic bid for delph aroun 2 million mark not shabby at all

Creative midfielder yes please

Just no {Ed016's Note - Ipswich won't have that amount of money to spend}

If you're talking about fabian delph then you are having a laugh

21 May 2013 01:09:44
Ebanks Blake to negotiate a contract with Barnsley FC after getting released by Wolves!

I doubt it, wage demands are probably too high for Barnsley

I'm sure he's setting his sights higher than that. Can't see him going anywhere but Ipswich.

He's a very good player though I find it surprising he would want to drop so far down to League 2. He can do much better than Tranmere.

21 May 2013 00:07:43
Oldham Athletic defender james tarkowski is wanted by Doncaster along with recently released goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis.

Deano isn;t our player anymore and you can take Tarky but you will have to pay for him as he has a contract, needs lots of help to make a Championship player though.

Oh yea tarky is injured at the moment so can;t do a medical due to his knee.

Pity you know nothing really about Oldham players you just guess things.

I'll drive Tarkowski there myself, he's awful.

Let me tell you why this is rubbish, Dickov dropped Tarky, who only regained his place in the Oldham team again, once he'd gone

We don't need an ex Oldham goal keeper we. We experience

You have Dickov so be prepared who he brings in on loan. RELEGATION by XMAS ha ha ha

We don't need any more Oldham players for God sale unless we are preparing for a future as division one relegation contenders in the

Loving the Tarky comment 'drive him there myself' Gaffers the Latics fan

Furman can go in the same car as tarky. lol

Furman comment 'in same car' equally brilliant! Gaffers

You oldham fans don't se a good player when he's on the pitch, Furman was quality for donny when he was on loan ran all over pitch sticking into tackles and can even strike a ball, he was unlucky not to score thou! He's a South Africa international. Seriously what's wrong with him, tell me!

South africa aren't very good, most of their players come from their league which is very poor. Digkacoi at crystal palace and then pienaar who has retired so their team is shockingly bad

20 May 2013 23:08:10
Pompey keen on Eddie Oshodi from Forest Green in the Blue Square Premier after he had an impressive season

20 May 2013 23:47:36
Any Preston news

Yep you're getting Novak, good league one player should score 20 for you next season. HTFC

Set to announce Tom Clarke today and will announce Chris Humphrey by the end of the week.

Novaks gone to Birmingham City

20 May 2013 23:09:35
Southampton is close to signing Erik Lamela from our A. S. Roma. 15 million EURO.

Would love it to happen but it's not likely.

That would be awesome

Utd and City are linked so unlikely to be coming our way I think.

This chap looks the real deal. 21 year old Argentinian playing regularly in srie A for two seasons, and scoring pots of goals. That's what Gaston was meant to be I think, so he may be going in the other direction. V promising.

My ambition for Saints for next season- top half Swansea type finish, and MP speaking English in press conferences.

Love this to be true, but isn't Man City after him?

Wow - this would be amazing after the year he has had in Italy. I would be surprised if it came true!

We can dream! He's been linked with City, Arsenal and other top Europian clubs, why would he chose saints?

Hello, I post first.

Yes you are right that you say bigger clubs than Southampton has looked at him.

But he not first choice for those clubs. Manchester United like Lewandowski, Manchester City like Falcao. These teams prefer these players.

Lamela wants to leave Roma. No progression in Roma. Not many clubs in Italy afford him, only England. Southampton in talks and want 15 million EURO. A. S. Roma want quick money. I think 15 million not enough. Roma pay nearly 15 million for him. I think 20 million EURO and every team happy. Southampton can afford. We see.

God I hope so, he top quality and is the type of player we need to be looking at if we want to rech europe

We are meant to have completed two 15 million pound transfers, just waiting till 1 July for confirmation.
I have this on good authority and seems to match up to stuff on here.

15 million wouldn't even buy his left leg.

Why not everybody used to laugh at saints the chairman is staying the manager is staying and the owner has given her backing so we are in with a chance of going toe to toe with most clubs

No chance

I doubt this could happen, but this does seem like the kind of ambitious coup signing that Cortese likes, a bit like Ramirez. If we could pull this off, and Ramirez can pick up his form for next season we could have a deadly attack next year.

Ed is there any truth to this? {Ed016's Note - Wouldn't suprise me, I've heard they're scouting italy}

20 May 2013 23:46:56
Millwall had board meeting today to discuss shortlist of new manager. Millwall shortlist of 5 known to be:

Neil Warnock - unattached
Alex Mcgleish - unattached
Steve Maclaren - unattached
Gary Johnson - out of contract July 1st.
Steve Davis - Crewe

How can any club consider warnock
He is an old aged thug dinosaur with no tactical idea at all

None of the above would be the best option!

Neil Warnock would be about as popular as Rafa at Chelsea. McLeish will lose interest when he finds out the budget. McLaren's agent says he doesn't want the Millwall job. The Millwall board has stated quite openly that managers in contract for next season will not be considered in the first round of interviews.

Don't want any of these five.

surprised Megson not been mentioned. Usually peddles has wares around any half decent job.

I know this is rubbish as my dad and Warnock have a mutual friend who has told my old man that Warnock has ruled himself out

Judging by the responses on here, I would love to see who people realistically think Millwall will get?

I take it the person who initially posted this was or is on the Board. If you are then my Dad can do better than the names you provided

Thank you Darren

Swindon town to do a swap deal with Coventry, James collins plus cash for Midfielder Moussa

Don't think so buddy, if any forward will go it would be Williams, Collins worked under kmac when he was a young lad at villa and loves the bloke.

Collins is worth a lot more that Moussa so any cash would come Swindons way not the other way round.

Swindon will struggle to stay up next season a very tough league next year with the players leaving and the wages bill slashed they will do well to stay in the league :

Bit like Yeovil then with a 1.4 million budget, swindon's is 2.4 million dream on muppet, Yeovil went up on a low budget so that fact of a low budget speaks volumes the fact is most clubs in league 1 will be around the same as swindon's.

I don't think they'll go down I think they'll struggle to make the play offs though.

Moussa is the best midfielder in league 1 by far. However I would love to sign collins he is a cov fan. Rather let Mcdonald go with cash to get him. Sisu out. Pusb.

Sorry, moussa the best midfielder in league 1? He is ok but I watched many better midfielders play against us last season. This is from a Coventry season ticket holder.

What games were you watching. Moussa is quality.
