STEVEN NAISMITH will sign for RANGERS in the next 24 hours after Kilmarnock at long last accepted an improved offer of around £1.75 million from the Ibrox side.

Only one more signing will follow before Wednesday's Champions League first signing deadline, this will be Hibernian' Steven Whittaker in a £1.8 million deal.

I can also assure the person who reckons James Beattie will be coming to Ibrox that this will never happen. We'd rather have Johnny Beattie.

I was at Goodison park today getting my season ticket renewed when within the space of 20 minutes Riquelme, vogel and pienaar arrived in different cars all with men in suits and just before keith wyness arrived with bill kenwright in a car. so I think we are going to sign these three players.

 Aston Villa rumours

Aston Villa are to step up there interest in Luke Young from Charlton and complete a deal in a few days time. Villa are also linked with Ajax's Wesley Sneidjer and Toulouse's Emana but no personal terms have been agreed yet with other clubs also interested. Finally Martin O'Neil will make at least one last attempt to get shaun wright–philips either on loan or on a permanent deal, if he does not get his man, then he will look elsewhere.

Reading will complete these signings after the peace cup:

Renato (Sevilla) £4.75 million

Benoit Costil (Caen) £500 k

Elliot Grandin (Caen) £350 k

Emerse Fae (Nantes) £2.75 million

Danilo Gerlo (River) £750 k

I have just finished my first week of work experience in the IT department at the ricoh arena, the red hot gossip is that Iain Dowie could continue his major re–building by getting in the following staff and players to add strength in depth and experience to his squad:

Eion Jess (player–coach)

Jim Leighton (goal keeping coach)

Leo Fortune West (Rushden and Diamonds) £250 k

Dougie Freedman (Palace) Free

Nicky Summerbee (unatached) Free

Want away forward Riquelme has been entertained at Chateau de Brady after the Copa America.

Crystal Palace will complete the season–long loan signing of Jose Fonte from Benfica with a view to a permanent deal at a price around £400,000 at the end of the loan. This is already well–known and will be official news shortly.

Peter Taylor will then seek to complete a deal for Scott Sinclair of Chelsea, although this is not yet certain. Sinclair is recovering from a foot injury and Chelsea are keen for him to complete pre–season at the club. There are many interested clubs and the loan fee is acceptable to all parties.

This will signal the end of the transfers at Palace as Taylor is satisfied he will have sufficient quality and cover to mount a serious bid for promotion.

I´m the guy who brought about 98 percent of Glasgow´s rumours to the truth. Celtic were recently linked to Freddy Adu but the journalists forgot to check that Adu couldn´t possibly join Celtic on their USA tour simply because no one can touch Freddy from Europe until he is 18. Check your FIFA rules. Fowler was NEVER on Rangers FC´s wanted list and never will be and to put this to bed once and for all neither was Allan Smith. Truth is, Rangers have a strict budget and cannot afford any of those two mentioned players´ wages. Rangers will sign one more player (a surprise name) just before the deadline. I say just before the deadline because this player is currently on international duty and will require two to three weeks´ holiday. work it out for yourselves; it´s not worth my job to say.

These rumours are not laughable, they´re embarrassing. Celtic to offload Graveson and will bring in Capone. Capone is not on trial to see if he´s good enough, it´s down to Graveson leaving before Capone can be recruited. Celtic have taken Capone on trial to prevent two Premier League clubs closing in. the Hammers being one but I don´t know the other. Rangers will make one or possibly two more signings next week. Craig Gordon will sign for Sunderland.

 – –Reading Transfer– –

Now after Reading's falling out of the Peace Cup sees the Royals return home to continue signings. One of the first targets they hope to capture is the signature of Stewart Yetton who plays for Cornish non–league side Truro City. Inside the Madejski a figure of around 250,000 pounds will be spent for the lad, who scored 72 goals in 47 (11) appearances. Steve Coppell seems keen about bringing him in, and has spent over three years scouting his skills. Extraordinaryly as it sounds, he could be the first cornish footballer to play in the Premier League.

Income from the Greg Halford sell should be able to bring Emerse Fae to Reading soon. Speculation of his transfer collasping should be ended soon when he pens a four year deal.

Deals should be wrapping up with a few key players to keep them extended and happy on a bit higher wages. Even Simon Cox, who scored against Lyon in the Peace Cup, will be paid higher than what Sidwell declined to take. Any speculation on any other signings is just that at the moment, speculation. Do not think Reading are done dealing just yet in the transfer window.

Just back from watching the mighty owls pre–season friendlies in Holland.

non other than Patrick kluivert training with them.

now that is a rumour.

valley owl.

John Terry, new contract in pocket is injured: (

His replacement? Curtis Davies; reputed to be £12.5 million

Well it's great to be back from holiday. It's not easy being right about all things Man United all the time. Now first regarding Nani, Tevez and Anderson. It looks like 'Smith is onj his way out and Rossi. I think we will have another player in the Tevez signing doesent take us beyond the window. I am seeing a young forward from Sochaux–Montbéliard. I will keep all of you informed with my indepth knowlage of transfers as I hear them. Cheers. Do forget I am the one who knows,

With the injury to Julien Faubert the Hammers will look to Kieron Dyer to fill the position. This works well all around as Dyer is on a lot of money at SJP and it opens the door to a star signing to add much needed creativity to the side. All the usual suspects Simao, Ricardo Quaresma or his team mate Lucho Gonzalez. Fingers crossed for another improved season from James Milner, one of the highlights of last season as well as rumours of a young lad from the academy coming through the ranks. Sam may return to the likes Gökdeniz Karadeniz in whom he showed interest before the take over. But I think if Dyer does go Ashley will take this chance to show his intent.

Seems I put 2 and 2 together and got 5.

I would assumed the free agent SUfc were signing was doumbe but it turned out to be Hendrie.

Expect a foreign midfielder to sign this week.

The guy who was supposedly talking to Robbie Fowler in the pub in Liverpool must have been very drunk and seeing things as Robbie is on hols in Portugal at the moment
