Well here is my view on some of the rumours posted here:

Didier Drogba – He's staying, don't worry Chelsea fans. He is better than Steven Gerrard at their age of 32 and yet there were rumours of Stevie G going for £30million+ and yet Drogba apparently going for just £18million!?? I don't think so.

Steven Gerrard – Staying for definite. He lovea Liverpool too much to go and has said he would like to stay.

Fernando Torres – Staying because Gerrard is. Even if Gerrard left, I'm not sure if he'd go anyway as he says he wouldn't play for another English club to Liverpool so that rules out Chelsea and Manchester City. Barcelona don't want him as they have enough players in his position. Torres hates Benitez and Real Madrid so won't go to Inter or Real and finally no–one else can afford him.

Loic Remy – Going to West Ham at the moment, unless Liverpool bid the same as the London Club (£8.4million). There is no other team in the running to get him; Remy's agent just said that to get him to go to Liverpool quicker as that is where Remy, his agent and Nice want him to go.

Mesut Oezil – He isn't going to Manchester United. They aren't buying anyone else this transfer window at least. I reckon he could go to Real or just stay put.

Mario Balotelli – Going to Manchester City for a fee of between £28–35million, possibly will be announced even tomorrow. I'm 90% sure of this.

Javier Mascherano – As a Liverpool fan, I hate to say this but he is probably going to Inter Milan. I'm 90% sure of this. Liverpool have said they have had no contact from Inter but they always say that e.g. Xabi Alonso with Real. Now the fee could be £25–35million or £10–15million plus Davide Santon or Samuel Eto'o or Rene Khrin or a combination of these players.

Whats your opinion of my views Editor? {editor's note – I think you might have it wrong on Remy, Nice just want someone to pay the money up front and are trying to strong arm the Hammers into doing so by making it seem like others are interested. Fergie said only yest he prob won't sign anyone and city have a few strikers anyway and are looking at others like Dzeko and Balotelli. In Huntelaar story is picked up by several other websites, I cannot see how it can be United, as we are currently based in the US. – Arsenal havent made a bid yet, but expect them to make a bid, after eduardo goes.

Even though I am a lifelong RED, here is the latest concerning Torres and Chelsea: 2 bids of 40million and 50million have already been rejected by Liverpool.
Unfortunatley, backroom staff at Chelsea are still confident of getting him. As a Liverpool fan I hopw this is not true.
Chelsea are looking to bringing in 1 big transfer this summer and 1 small transfer, that being an English player.

I was reading something intereting about Klaas Jan Huntelaar on Goal.com and it claimed, according to Talksport, that he is in MANCHESTER and that he is set to hold talks with Utd or City. I am a MUFC fan but i don't believe this as Fergie has already said he is not signing anyone and with City signing Super Mario i can't help feeling that he is going to Liverpool. I feel it would make sense aswell, after seeing on the news that there has been floods in Liverpool so maybe they diverted the flight to Manchester but i hope he signs for UTD.(13)(15)

TalkSport have said that he has arrived at Manchester Airport, and with Man City already having 5 strikers and Balotelli on his way..it is logical to assume he is heading for talks with the Man Utd board. Expect Balotelli to be a Man City player by Monday, as well as Aleksander Kolarov with a £18m bid accepted – which will finally spark Javier Mascherano's move from Liverpool to Inter Milan. Sir Alex today said he was happy with his squad , well on that basis maybe the rumour he has also booked United's end of season party for the end of February is also true. The other interesting rumour is that he has lost his edge in the transfer market. One or two around the club think he had his fingers burnt with Hargreaves, Anderson and particularly Berbaflop so he has literally lost confidence. Take Ozil, followed closely by Fergie when the German was a teenager and he even tried to sign him then , the boss even nicknamed him "the ghost" for the way he played. Now he is in the last year of his contract and the price would likely be less than £20M with wages well within reach, yet potentially he will miss out on him. I dismissed the loss of confidence rumour at first but the signs are there. The boss is under terrible pressure from the Glazers to get it right as Season ticket/corporate sales are badly down but I wonder if the boss has shrunk into his shell. He won't listen to anyone and if he isn't a bit more bold this summer this season could be his last. Let us hope this is just his way of negotiating a lower price for someone and there is no truth in the bottled it rumour.

Just before you all start slating me, stick with me because there are certain signs that you need to follow which i have stated before and have come true. I said Joe Cole would sign in May because Rafa said he would be looking to sign more English players, and Gerrard said he was a quality player and wanted to play with him ( in effect Cole agreed to come to LFC during the world cup due to Gerrard and Carragher persuading him) and I also said the Danny Wilson deal would go through due to his affection for the club and because of Kenny's desire to bring in young british talent.
Now onto future transfers
Loic Remy 9 Million possibly rising to 12.5
Roy Hodgson claimed he didn't know anything about him but Loic had been recommended to him, this means nothing, Hodgson has very little to do with the transfers, Christian Purslow is in control of transfers and he has been recieving scout reports for the past few months about him and a deal will soon be tied up for him.
Ever Banega 9 Million– Replacement for Mascherano this is a similar transfer to Remy's, Banega was a target before Hodgson but Purslow is heading the Transfer ship.
Davide Santon– Exchange for Mascherano– 22 Million + Santon will see the ungreatful Mascherano he will be first choice left back with Wilson and Agger providing back up. Not my first choice because out of the three none of them are natural left backs.

No News on the takeover– does anyone?

In Huntelaar story is picked up by several other websites, I cannot see how it can be United, as we are currently based in the US. Although stranger things have happened, but here is my theory, balotelli apparently has been pushing for the move to Manchester United over Manchester City, 1. is his close Italy under 21 and personal friend Kiko Macheda, who is very close, has been sounding Super Mario out about the move. Balotelli's agent is pushing for the move to City, Given what he will earn etc. Plus it's known A.C Milan are after Robinho, so could it be possible city could be getting Huntelaar as a back up striker? Basically anybody who states –"we have so many million left after the sales of" is talking rubbish.

My club, Arsenal have over 100 million in cash and available liquid asset, so putting a figure on how much they will spend is absolutely ridiculous.

Its of course possible Wenger may spend another 10–15 million – but who knows what he will do – he doesn't even know himself as he will not pay over the odds.

Remy is not going to happen either – Wenger would have bought him last summer if he wanted him before he became back page gossip.

I'd guarantee another signing at either CB or GK though – I think ideally he'd like both but it all depends on getting better than what we have at a reasonable price.

If Mascherano goes (highly likely) there will be no direct replacement. There will be no need for one. Liverpool will revert to 4–4–2 and the central midfield pairing will be Gerrard & Lucas with Aquilani and squad players as back–up.

All Liverpool need now is a dependable quality left back and cover. There is now more than enough quality options/combinations on the two flanks and up top.

As a dundee united fan i have no reason to lie about the following news:

CHELSEA are targeting Bastian Schweinsteiger and Marek Hamsik but only 1 of these will be coming in. Plus one more proven striker, but not a huge name, possibly cacau.

Arsenal Fc will not sell Francesc Fabregas unless are forced to if he hands in a transfer request or Barcelona meet the required asking price for the player. Mr Wenger doesn't want a player who doesn't have his heart committed to the club. Also whether Fabregas stays or goes, Phillippe Mexes and Stekelenburg will most probably be signed. As Eduardo da Silva is looking to be on his way out to Shaktar Donetsk, Loic Remy is also being considered by Arsene as he is a long time admirer of who is claimed to be the next Thierry Henry. liverpool are so broke they can't afford a 12.5 bid for remy. Rangers outs:

Boyd – Free (would 'free' up around 12,000 wages)
Novo – Free (8,000 wages)
Beasley – Free (12,000 wages)
Smith – Free (5,000 wages)
Thomson – £2million (8,000 wages)
Wilson – £2million now (wages would be low)

The bank/owners want the wage structure lowered substantially but with alot of players leaving, this may be put on hold for now (either that or substadised by tranfer money) – Mcgregor could leave to either fulham or benfica for around 2.5million. Velicka is the only player rangers are actively trying to sell although offers will be scarce with his lack of fitness and first team football for the last 2 years. With at least 4million in and a reported 4million that was already on offer to smith, rangers will be looking to bring in new players. Around 50,000 wages freed up (the eagles saga suggests that's not all on offer though).

Coming in could be:

Michael Ball – former rangers player is now a free agent and could provide competition at left back, as well as allowing papac to fill in at centre back if needed.

Jose Goncalves – he has already claimed to have held talks with rangers. Im a fan of this guy but not sure if he would be good enough, either way, this is a rumour that has been on the go for a while.

James McAurther – Similarily, i like him but would rather he go to wigan as we don't need him and don't want us to waste what little money we have on a benchwarmer.

Brett Holman – he has an eye for goal this guy, would probably just be a loan but could be another davis/fleck. Prefers to play in an advanced central role but with rangers shape, he probably wouldn't fit in our system.

Michael Tonge – Out of favour at his club and could get a decent deal. Havent seen much of him recently but from what ive heard, when hes good hes very good but when hes bad hes a passenger n prone to vital errors.

Marlon Harewood – the most recent rumour i heard. This seems genuine as ive heard this from so many different sources (many of the papers, bbc, sky etc). Would be free, but wages may be a stumbling block once more. I would love him to sign but it looks as if he could be going to join oleary in the middle east.

The other rumours that have been circling are the ones like: Conway, Goodwillie, riordan, reynolds and we took the young scandanavian on loan.

Just a few general points on a variety of subjects. Feel free to comment if interested.

1. Firstly Rangers fan's, you are not getting Obertan, either on loan or permanent.

2. I do seriously think that Liverpool will be a contender for 4th or even 3rd this season. I know a lot of you don't rate Joe Cole and we all suspect he's gone to you for the money. But he must have had some guarantee's about starting and position, we know Roy is a good manager and not an idiot, and i have a sneaky feeling he might do alight for you. Couple more shrewd signings and you are in contention.

3. To the Forest/ Palace and any other Championship fans who think they are signing Albrighton from Villa for between 600k – 1 million, not going to happen, i know someone who played in the same youth team and mentioned these rumours to him. There is a possibilty of a loan to a Midlands based Championship side but that's it.

4. Someone earlier said that Chelsea were strengthening. Are they? Deco, Ballack, J Cole, Belleti all out and replaced with Benayoun and a lot of unknown kids with no real experience, not exactly stronger are they? These kids might be good, and Kukuta does look promising but that's 4 experienced squad men gone and not replaced.

5. As for this rubbish from Ferguson about not signing anyone its typical Ferguson media mind games. Does it al the time and then does the opposite, its called reverse psychology. Example, from last season, Champions League quarter final 2nd leg, "Wayne Rooney will play no part in this game" 24 hours Wayne Rooney is in the starting line up. Ferguson knows United lack a quality attacking mid, you don't win 11 league titles and 2 Champions Leagues by being an idiot. God knows who but anyone from Ninis, Jovetic, Henrique etc etc. i do agree with the theory that he's waiting for City to shut the cheque book. Ferige usally moves either very early (Nani, Anderson, Smalling, Hernandez) or very late (Berbabtov) in a transfer window so i'm not really expecting anything till August.

Arsenal Transfer News

With Eduardo going out to Shaktar Donesk for a fee in the region of £6m, this will add nicely on top of Wenger already bulging transfer kitty (in arsenal standards) around £37m left (with eduardo money with Kocielny fee deducted). This is looking likely that Arsene with his aray of power in the frech transfer market to lauch a bid for Loic Remy dubbed the next Henry. Arsene has been chasing remy for many a year, may this be the perfect time to make this move?? If he does move for the nice starlet expect a fee in the region of £10–12 million, a bid from Liverpool has come in for Remy but is very low and Nice were not interested.

Other moves in the transfer market for Arsenal will be a CB and a GK (a good one). Many names have been thrown around for the CB role but it is looking more and more likely that it will be one of Mexes from Roma, for a fee of around £8–10. or Per Mertesacker the 6ft5 German giant from Werder Bremen a fee in the region of £10–12 mil looks to be on the cards.

The GK situation at Arsenal is nothing but a mess, like the CB position many names have been said, but there are three possible targets. Sebastian Frey, now looking at Second Choice after the signing of Artur Boruc. £3–5m. Samir Handanovic, the very highly rated Slovenia has had a very good season with Udinese and with them in financial difficulty a bid in the region of £7–9mil will most likely prise him from the seria A club. Lastly, and probably the least unlikely is Hugo Lloris, again with Arsene's strength in the french market i would not be suprised if a bid were to come in for the young french man in the region of £12 million.

Chelsea have made it clear to top clubs in Europe that Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba is not for sale.

These are the proper and only rumours that are sort of 50 /50 really all of them.

Shorey £2M – Possibility, sure Villa can go without him but he's holding out for an offer from a prem team then he may sign for Forest otherwise (can see this happening as apart from Fulham there are no other clbs he is currently linked to and has obviously played for us on loan last season to great effect)

Pratley £2.5M – £3M – Was in papers today that the chairman is quashing any rumours of Pratley going anywhere nor has there been any fresh bid from Forest but if the player wants to go I'm sure he will do..hard to say! (what is for sure is that he has not been appaering at any pre–season frielys for the Swans)

Whittingham £2M – £2.5M – Again a possability but other clubs including some Prem clubs are chasing him Cardiff want to hold on but their transfer embargo and lack of £££'s will no doubt prompt Whittingham to leave, can't be sure it will be Forest though.

Arsenal news –

Heard today that Arsenal are set to offer £10 million for Conner Wickham, and are prepared to allow the young striker to remain at Ipswich on loan for the 2010/2011 season.
Eduardo is set to join Shaktar for £6 million in the coming week, although there was also interest from West Ham.
I have heard no talk of another CB joining Arsenal, so Koscielny may be given the chance to prove himself in the starting XI along with Vermaelen, with Djourou, and the up and coming duo of Nordtveit and Thomas Cruise providing defensive cover.
I don't have any news on the goalkeeping situation, but Wenger has stated that the number 1 jersey is currently up for grabs, and is going to use the pre–season to determine which of the four keepers (Almunia, Fabianski, Mannone, and Szczesny) will be the regular keeper throughout the season.

There have been a couple of number changes as well. Robbie Van Persie has swapped to the number 10, following the depature of William Gallas, whilst Carlos Vela has been awarded the number 11, possibly meaning that he will be featuring more this season. I think Hodgeson has been keeping his powder dry with regard to spending on transfer fees until he finds out whether Torres, Gerrard and Mascherano are staying.

I think Gerrard has given a clear message that he is staying today. I expect Torres to stay also but I'm not sure about Masch.

I think the original estimates of transfer budgets (around £15) were correct. If you add to that the Benayoun and Insua money you have a rough £25M.

Sadly, as Liverpool need English players, who are overpriced, I think this will only stretch to a couple. I would expect two from Bridge, Warnock, Shorey and Knochesky. Maybe even Matt Taylor.

That should account for a good ten to fitteen million quid. The remaining ten to fifteen will go on a striker. Don't be surprised to see a win–win deal negotaiated for Zamora. I think that despite his age he might cost a respectable £10M. Alternatively, I think there is substance to the Remy rumours and maybe even the one about Crouch returning to Anfield. My preference would be for Zamora or Crouch.

If Masch goes I think Liverpool will look to foreign fields for a replacement – I just don't think there is anyone English and good enough who we could afford.

Okay i have some news for the Liverpool fans amongst us.

A few more players will be leaving following Insua and Benni out of the door.

They will be Cavalieri who wants a move back to Brazil. Kyrgiakos, Riera and Ngog will also leave bringing in a total of 12–14million rougly.

Mascherano is the high profile player leaving.

This leaves Roy with around 50million to spend altogether. Pranjic can and does play left back – a position that Liverpool are sorely lacking in at present. He can also cover left–mid if needs be (technically he is a left mid played out of position by Croatia) which gives him greater flexibility and as such is ideal. I think the interst in him is as an attacking left–back with the ability to overlap with Cole along with the flexibility to cover left–side of mid if needs be. He certainly seems able to do this and dependent on funding and/or willingness of other names being touted for left–back may well end up our only option. I think Liverpool's interest is primarily as Left Back with the ability to cover other areas. He could probably be prised from Munich for as little as £5–6M.

Eduardo to leave 100% as someone quite rightly posted he isn't at our training camp in Austria.
The money quoted seems tiny with the way the transfer market has changed, a mere £8,000,000 for him. A Big loss of confidence last season but i think a change of team and we'l see him bang in 20 goals at least.
In my heart i'd love to see arsene put whatever we get for him into the purchase of Ozil but knowing wenger, and the fact we have a number of quality attacking options (van persie, chamackh, bendtner, walcott, wilshere. vela, and the almighty fabregas)
i doubt he will.
Onto our problematic GK front, Monsieur Wenger was very clever with his choice of words. "There is no number 1 at Arsenal". This tells me two things, he wants to give Mannone and Szezesny a chance to prove themselves, but also he is in the market for a REAL number 1. My personal choices would be any of the top German keepers, or Handanovic the slovakian. Buffon was quoted saying he thinks handanovic was the best gk in serie A.
Lastly, onto fabregas and il keep it brief..i've never seen such unprofessionalism from a massive club like barca. Arrogant and bullish!

I can confirm that Liverpool have been in contact with Bayern Munich asking to be 'kept informed' of the status of Pranjic. ('Kept Informed' is diplomat–speak for "we're pretending to show only casual interest but really we are desperate for him).

Pranjic, 28 and a Croatian international, is a versatile left–back come left sided midfielder, along the style and type of Riise.

Healy will join rangers on a season long loan with the option of buying him next season. I think he has a contract untill 2012 with Sunderland and Walter does not want to pay over a million pounds for a striker who hasn't proven himself at club level.
Marlon Harewood will be a Rangers player by Saturday he will probalbly sign contract on Thursday. The Aussie winger will also be a rangers player by Thursday, as Advocat manager of AZ has a soft spot for rangers and no one else wants him, he is supposedly on 18k a week, rangers will ownly pay 10k. Miller will leave to join Boyd and Thomo at Bourgh for a fee of around 1.5 – 2 million. Mcgregor will leave later in the transfer window. Gattuso will rejoin rangers, probably next season to help start a new era of rangers with mcoist at the helm.
Celtic are supposedly in talks with David James but Neil Lenon will not page huge wages for a 40 year old who will sit on the bench. Bullard deal dead, he will probably go to Newcastle, Campbel will join Sunderland not Celtic, but i expect bellamy to join on loan and the wages will be paid with the 9 million which celtic will recieve from Villa. They will also sign Westwood as back up to Zaluska.

That's funny, because it was only last week that Sneijder told the world that he wouldn't be leaving Inter Milan.

Ok so I've been away for a while and I now have some more (real) transfer news..

..Riquelme will be moving to the Premier League within the next few weeks, a host of clubs are interested including West Ham, Birmingham and Sunderland.

Loic Remy is close to signing for Liverpool but the Hammers and Arsenal are monitoring the situation. If he does sign for Liverpool I expect him to wear the number 14 shirt.

Am I the only old firm fan who is getting sick of all the non educated delinquent Celtic & Rangers fans with their childish posts and bigoted digs at each other? Most of them can't even spell & as a Rangers fan I find it embarrassing. Rant over, onto rumours :)

I believe that if Rangers are able to hang onto most of the players we have left we will be in decent shape for next season and a couple of decent acquisitions should mean we will be able to compete with Celtic despite their activity in the transfer market (Ledley & Cha Du Ri will improve Celtic I'm sure, can't see Bellamy happening though)

I believe Rangers will bid for 3 players in Gary Kenneth & David Goodwille of Dundee Utd, around £4–4.5 mil for the pair may be enough to prise them away and a £1.5 mil bid for James McArthur should see him join his boyhood idols. This can be funded by the sales of Kevin Thompson (£2mil) who has left already and more than likely Alan McGregor who is one of our most sellable (3–4mil?) & arguably dispensable assets with Neil Alexander able to step in, as well as the small budget that Walter already has to work with. There may also be 1 or 2 loans or Bosmans to cover SB positions or utility players.

If players such as Edu, Fleck, Webster & Naisy step up & make an impact this year as well as the likes of Miller, Whittaker, Bougy & Davis can continue their great form from last season, along with a few new additions to strengthen the squad and possibly a few youth players taking their chance throughout the season, I think Rangers fans have every reason to be optimistic for 3 in a row regardless of who Celtic sign. We are a team with spirit & togetherness & that goes a long way!!

The rumours coming from the J.Cole camp (well his friends i know anyway!) is that not only was it the 1st team football that swayed him, but also the signings ('supposedly' their words not mine) in the advanced stages that will be joining. Turan (winger)and Taiwo (left back) will go ahead when the Mascherano deal happens (maybe before if they are confident he is off, meaning more than 1 really keen suiter!), AND, if the takeover happens quickly the Show Off signing will be Aguero (Again, 'supposed' to be a fan of the club and (here comes the cliche) it'd be his dream move!), this was said to be unlikely though and probably won't happen until the January window if not Summer) I asked how they would shape up if Joe is starting as promised?(formation wasn't clear but the 1st XI will look like something this providing the targets and deals come and go as planned, and form, gelling, etc) Not a lot will change at the back I guess. Reina, Taiwo, Johnson, Agger, Carragher. But it gets hazy at best here on. Cole, Turan, Lucas, Gerrard, Kuyt (Aguero, at a guess) , Torres. Don't know how the bench would be, but it safe to say Jovanavic (sp. the freebie) will be there. Not sure who is going or who there from the young ones is rated but then it wasn't talked about, don't know if these are the only signings either. (again that would depend on outgoing transfers generating money i suppose.) Speaking to someone who does some scouting for Leicester.
His information, (not sure how accurate this is, but he's nothing to gain by speculating).
Leon Crncic, the Slovenian forward who 'trialled' in the friendlies last week, has impressed DeSousa, and the club are interested in taking him on.
LCFC in negotiation with NFFC regarding the possibility of bringing in one of Forest's players, (either an attack minded M/F or a striker)..possibility of Matt Oakley being offered as 'bait' in an exchange deal.Otherwise Oakley, who upset Foxes fans towards the end of last season, will be allowed to leave.
Steve Howard. Will be allowed to move on. He doesn't fit in with Paolo's plans..PdS would prefer a faster, more mobile striker..Who, will depend on budget!
Nicky Adams impressed PdS when he played at right back last week. Will be given another chance to show he can do a job in this 'new' role.

1. Ninis– SAF has decided to increase the bid to 10.8mil and it will be accepted in all probability. He plans to use the kid in a central position behind the striker/s and from what I've learnt, Ninis can shoot with either foot equally well, so that makes him an even bigger asset.
2. SAF had given up on Ozil bt with the recent happenings, expect a last minute offer for the player.
3. Balotelli is also on the radar. The problem is that SAF is only willing to go upto 28mil. Dunno if that's gonna be enough. Jovetic may be a cheaper alternative n SAF is tracking him too.
4. SAF is lining up an approx 15mil bid for Lahm with the possibility of a cash plus swap deal. Official announcement by next monday.
5. Vidic "may" leave. It all depends on the time and nature of the offer. If SAF signs Balotelli/Jovetic first then the cash plus swap deal (benzema) would be rejected. If the offer is close to 25mil, Vidic will leave for sure.
6. Fans may have to say goodbye to Carrick, Obertan, Berba/Park (only for swap with Ozil/Lahm), Anderson or Brown.
