Would of loved us to go in for Javier Hernandez a steal at around 8million just what we needed alongside a number 10 ! Yaermelenko (Spelling) would have also been great any chance for a January interest ? Perhaps a few Barcelona loans too

To be fair to SA the rumours were factual but as we know (especially with Burnley) not all moves come off.

Just because we didn't sign a player doesn't necessarily mean we didn't try.

Transfer deadline day news:

Blackpool are to talk with Cardiff City over a season-long loan deal for Rhys Healey.

Blackpool were also interested in fellow Cardiff city striker Eoin Doyle, but it looks as if he will be off to a Championship side (most likely to be Rotherham United) on a loan deal to become permanent in January if his release clause of £500,000 is met.

Also on Blackpool's wanted list is young Manchester City centre-back George Evans. The promising young defender has played League 1 football on loan at Crewe Alexandra and Scunthorpe United and could help bolster Blackpool's backline.

Blackpool are also taking an interest in young Welsh defender Tom Bender, currently at Forest Green Rovers. Also, former Forest Green Rovers manager David Hockaday may be moving to Blackpool in 'a coaching capacity'.

Finally, TJ Nagi of Welsh League side Barry Town United is to be offered a trial with Blackpool after catching the eye of the club's coaching staff.
