tom pope of port vale set to join preston north end on loan till jan then make it a perm deal said to be 300k with cummins goin the other way as part of the deal

Ridicullous - Why would he go on loan. He is scoring for fun at the moment. If he was going surely it would be for a fee now not a loan with a view to a signing. If he does go the Board need to ..... (oh yes what Board)

It's outside the transfer window so clubs can only make "emergency" loan signings until it opens again in January.

Tom pope is a vale fan

Shrewsbury striker Tom Bradshaw is set to join league 2 Morecambe on loan for 2 months. Should be in time for Saturday.

Source: Morecambe paper

Hope this is true. He needs games desperately.

Good move all round tbh. Tom needs some game time.

A good move for Tom. Hopefully we will move for Sanchez Watt now he is available for loan.

Checked the local Morecambe press and canna see a thing about it,surely Turner wouldnt even consider loaning anyone out until he gets a striker in himself

Kevin phillips coming to the town

It was in the Morecambe & Heysham local paper yesterday, 18th September, quote:

"Morecambe are hoping to have a new face in their squad for Saturday with the expected arrival of striker Tom Bradshaw on loan from league 1 Shrewsbury Town. The Welsh under 21 international will join on an initial 2 month loan deal".

Tom Bradshaw may as well go out on loan as he's not good enough to even make the subs bench at the meadow. Time for him to move on so that we can get someone decent in who knows how to score goals...

Kevin phillips on 20k a week likely be offered 3k at shrews come on keep rumours realistic

Kevin phillips no joke.

David Connolly coming to town.

Watt is coming according to the paper

Free agent kevin phillips is on nothing {Ed003's Note - Free agent ?? }

Where does it say about watt

On the second to back page of the chronicle right in the centre

Phillips is still at blackpool but not a big favourite

Heard Francis Jeffers to salop

He's too old. Not good enough anymore.

Yes, that is right. Jeffers is training with shrews with view to a 1 year contract.

Huddersfield Town have signed youngster Godwin Abadaki, on a 5 month youth loan from Rochdale

So? Where's the goalscorers? 2 of them needed!

Beckford is 1 now!

Well Godwin is only playing in under 21's

Michael Paton to sign a two year deal with Bristol Rovers this week. The free agent links links up again with Mark McGhee after his release from Aberdeen.

Would be surprised at this as I am told McGhee has quit but is staying on short term to help Bristol's board find a replacement.

Done deal was seen in BRISTOL today... hoping to announce friday but more likely Monday.

I don't think so

Rafa Benitez and Nicola Cortese seen leaving a conference centre in Geneva, report the Spanish press, amid rumours that Nigel Adkins will be shown the door at St Mary's

Biggest load of rubbish this side of Portsmouth!
Firstly, Cortese would not be seen in public with a "replacement" if he was actually considering showing NA the door.
Secondly there is no chance NA will be shown the door in the near future.
Thirdly Rafa would not be a serious candidate to replace NA.

Apart from that, pretty sound post!

The press are simply left to speculation without the use of 'phone tapping or long lenses.

Has anyone bothered to think that if they were actually seen like this perhaps they both attended the same conference? DOH-too much for the press level of intelligence to deal with.

Saint Martin

Rather see shearer get a chance

Agree with the above reply, Cortese does his business behind closed doors.

Unfortunately though with Cortese's notorious lack of patience, Adkins is now undoubtably under increased pressure to turn things around.

I believe Nigel will turn things around and should be given at least 5 or 6 more games to prove as such. Given the first 4 games we had, I don't think many fans would have expected much more. We gave fantastic performances against the two manchester clubs and we undone by a fantastic Arsenal and an on form Wigan.

Some years ago I had a drink in the same bar as Cloughie, on the Isle of Tresco.
As I was in my 20s at the time, surprised I was not seen as the missing piece to Brian's jigsaw!

Saint Martin

Hoddle would be the boy if NA were given the Lbow - COYRs

Benitez said that he would never take on a championship side so that leaves southampton out as they are destined for the drop, how about pratt le pi$$ier,he talks crap ,right up your street.

Robin Shroot's goal scoring exploits since the start of the season haven't gone unnoticed by a number of clubs in the Championship. His goal on Saturday against Crewe and last night against Walsall wouldn't have harmed his chances of moving up a division.

Plymouth Argyle In's

Gerardo Bruna (Blackpool)
Adda Djeziri (Blackpool)

And where has this been published and confirmed.

Could understand bruna going but why djeziri we just signed him

Will believe it when I see it!

Who and who

Sure yeah keep posting i get a good laugh

We might well have just signed him but he's only in the development squad (nowhere near the 1st team) and as much as they play plenty of games it can't replicate 1st team football.

Be a decent move for all parties I'd say, Dzejiri is untried but with all due respect if Bruna's heads right then he's got far too much ability for League 2.

But why pay for someone who isnt going to play and isnt he 23 so its not like he is as young as the rest of the develpoment squad. Think it could be a wastle of money signing him just like paul bignot.

The clue is in the name......Development squad, That means to try and develop him into a 1st team player. If that is more likely to happen if he goes out on loan then so be it.
His age is irrelevant, he isn't ready for the 1st team squad but Ollie thinks he has some ability so has given him a chance to come in and work with him to see if he can improve sufficiently.
Going out on loan would help him do that.
He'll be on peanuts so cost is irrelevant.

It'd be a good move for both, it's as simple as that.

He will never make it in the fiirst team because promation is the aim and i dont think he could improve enough to be a first team player in the prem. But he may make it but very unlikely

{Ed013's Note -Hi fellow football fans, I came across this link today http://www.justgiving.com/Noel-whelan for a 16 month old Baby suffering from Cancer. I don't like throwing charities in your faces, but this story really threw me back and for anyone with Children or anyone that is planning Children,I am sure you can feel a small part of what this family is going through. If anyone can give any donation at all then it will go towards saving this poor Child's life. Thanks very much - Editor 13}

Its a good idea pal

Conner fenton is apparently going to barnet after falling out with tony pulis

19 Sep 2012 11:59:18
Barnet Manager Mark Robson to be sacked with Steve Cotterill being lined up to take over

That would be a good appointment for Barnet. The only question is what would they do come the new year when he inevitably shafts them for a bigger a club.

Norwich City are to enter talks with MLS side Seattle Sounders early next month over a proposed loan move for their Colombian star striker Fredy Montero on an initial loan deal in January till the end of the season which can be made permanent if the club desires

I.f this rumour is true by jan it could be too late if our forwards dont start scoreing we could already be heading for relegation.we should have bought a decent striker weeks ago

Couldn't agree more why did we not get a decent striker

Stop pooing it you two. We will be well OK. Keep the faith!

The three teams who win the least number of games get relegated.

Hughton is playing football with the objective of not losing.

Lambert played to win games.

That is why with the same strike force this year as last we are scoring less goals per game. Even the team think that a draw is a result. It isn't. 38 games x 1 point is relegation.

That is why players don't run in for penalty rebounds at 1-1 becasue they don't need to. The objective of not losing doesn't require it.

Basically the objective of stregthening the defense has morphed into a negative approach to playing the game.

The message given by the club is the same as that of the manager with even the club's own website quoting Moro saying how he was so happy about the side being "more difficult to beat" from a striker? The only quote we want from him is how pig sick he is that he hasn't scored any goals yet.

We need to reaquaint our team with their fundamental purpose- winning games of football. But if their own leadership is happy with a draw then it is no surprise that this is what we are getting.

New Coventry manager Mark Robins has been given permission to sign and get rid of how many players he likes, within budget, to make sure City are targeting a top six play off place.
One player close to signing is Stoke midfielder Diego Arismendi. Robins had a close relationship with the Premier League club whilst at Barnsley and wants to sign for the former Uruguay international until the New Year.
Robins is also wanting to sign former Leeds young goalkeeper Jonathan Lund. The 24 year old is now a free agent after being released by Burnley in 2010 and will train with City until the end of next week with a view to a one and a half year deal.
Robins is also thought to be keen on bringing some of his own staff in.
It is unsure who Robins wants as his assistant but it is certain that he will employ Nick Daws as his First Team Coach. Daws worked with Robins at Barnsley.
The 42 year old is also wanting to have a closer look at the youth with finances stricken. Robins is expected to approach Burnley for their Youth Team Coach John Mullin. The former Rotherham and Tranmere player is only 37 and may be interested in a role at The Ricoh.

Lund has retired due to a serious shoulder injury

Good luck coventry, we at barnsley didnt know how negative he really was as a manager until he left, all the best with robins, its not pretty to watch

Cheers for that matee, really made my day knowing that

So sorry mate, hope he does you a better job, but I can only be honest!!

Can not be worse than the dross we have got used to watching ,my lowest point of being a Cov fan.SISU OUT....

He did what he had to do that was keep us in the championship......

Coventry have got a good manager in robins did well for us at barnsley

I think youll do ok with MR. It's tough after being relegated as we (PNE) found out. Just think yourselves lucky you didnt get Brown, awful manager unless you like snooker. Hows Barton doing btw?

Big surprise is that Robins has gone to a club with financial problems - if what was said at the time he left Barnsley was true, he did so because of our budget limitations. Keith Hill has done a very good job with very little to spend and has improved the quality of the football.

Yes robins did well at Barnsley, stifled butterfield for a season, brought arguably the worst left back ive seen at oak well for years in mc everly, jim obriens a totally different player under hill compared to his days under robins, Nathan Doyle another robins signing!!!!, and his massive turn over of loan signings, robins spent a lot at Barnsley and achieved very little, and when the money dried up he threw his teddy out of the cot,

Barton is a decent footballer, but is clearly not suited to playing on the left of the dreaded 'diamond' formation... Hopefully Robins will scrap that and go to a 442, or 352... I am sure that central midfielders like Barton, Jennings, Thomas, and Fleck would then have to compete for the shirt and generally perform far better... Who knows? We may even get some pacy wingers at the club who can cross a ball?
